You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

“Come on, Kitten, try it!” you say.

Kitten scrunches her face up at the sight of your latest breakfast. Despite her knowing that your cooking is actually pretty good once you learn a little thing called safety procedures, she was not keen on your latest experiment.

“The hell is this?” she asks.

You smile. “Grits! A bit of ground corn really. Try it!”

“Eh…” Kitten looks over at the other side of her plate. Bacon and eggs. “Maybe I’ll have the bac-“ You frown at that, to which Kitten flinches. “Okay…” She takes a spoonful of the grits and swallows it reluctantly. She nearly gags a bit. “Ah jeez.”

You laugh a bit. “Is my cooking that bad?”

“No, no!” she says. “It’s just… I’m not a corn person.”

“Yeah, you wouldn’t survive in Nebraska,” you say. “But come on, eat, eat!”

In the middle of the night, you had received an email from Miss Ashley Ursula Lutz, your ITL Liaison. You had nearly forgotten about her. You also received a text from Rankin.

“Exchange students are arriving this morning, pretty early. Me and Betty are coming to greet them. You’re free to come as well.”

Partially the reason why you’re up at 4 O’Clock instead of the usual 6. Kitten doesn’t look too happy but then again she’s never happy at having to wake up so early.

Once Kitten finishes her breakfast, you grab your coats and head out into the biting morning cold. The first girl to wake up of course is Nancy. You knock on Nancy’s door.

Nothing. Hm. Well, moving on. You knock Lisa’s door.

Lisa opens the door, clad in her pajamas and yawning. “Whaaaat?” she moans.

You say, “Exchange students are here. Nancy ain’t answering her door and Ramirez-“ You look to your left, to see Ramirez standing there, already in her coat and uniform. “Oh. Ramirez. Nice to see you.”

Ramirez nods. “Morning.”

Lisa yawns, then scratches at her messy hair. You swear you could see what looks like a bug fall of it. You look past her shoulder to see her room is still quite the mess. “Alright… let me shower first.”

Kitten says, “Would you mind if I-“

“Stay out of my room, Kitten.”

After a few minutes, Lisa comes out of her dorm. Her school uniform is messy and unkempt, her hair is a bit frazzled, and she apparently can’t keep her eyes open. You say, “This ain’t like you, Lisa. What’s the fuss?”

Lisa says, “I was trying to force myself to clean my room. You know, maybe if Huxley comes over again, he won’t have to see all that.” She shrugs. “Couldn’t do it. So where to then?”

Well, you tried knocking on Nancy’s door again. She’s probably over at Fairless’ place.

After a short walk, you end up at Fairless’ dorm at the Seniors Dorm. You knock on the door. “Nancy? You in there?”

Welp. Time to kick the door in then-

The door opens, revealing Nancy. She smiles at you. “Gertrude! Hi everybody!”

“Oh, Nancy,” you say. “You stay over at Bernadette’s place.”

Lisa says, “No. I’m sure she spent the night moonlighting as Batman.”

Nancy giggles a bit. “Oh, no. I’d never. I did stay the night, yes.” She opens the door wider, allowing you all to come on. “Come in! I’ve just been cleaning the place up for her.”

You look Nancy up and down. She’s still wearing her school uniform, sans the blazer and the tie. You say, “How’s Bernadette?”

She points to Bernadette’s bedroom. “Sleeping.” She places her finger to her lip. “So don’t make too much noise.” She asks you, “So, why are you here?”

You say, “Exchange students. I was wondering if you wanted to come greet them with us.”

“Oh!” Nancy gasps quietly. “Goodness, I forgot! Well…” She scratches her chin. “Oh… I can’t leave Bernadette like this.”

You kick open Fairless’ bedroom door. “Bernadette! It’s me, your favorite time of the da-“ You immediately blasted by a well-aimed pillow to the face.

“Go. Away.” Fairless retreats beneath her blankets, groaning.

You stand up, rubbing your face. “Oh come on. The exchange students are here. We have to greet them!”

“Fuck them. I’m sleeping,” she says.

Kitten says, “This sounds really familiar.”

You sigh, walking over to Fairless bedside and kneeling down beside it. “Come on, Bernadette. Betty will be there, I’ll be there, Nancy and my girls will be there too.” Fairless opens her eyes and wow fucking terrifying jesus Christ you look away. You smile a bit, chuckling nervously. “Come on.” You look her back in the eye and ah fuck. “Do it for me.”

Fairless pauses for a minute, then groans loudly. “Agh! Fine! Fine… Jesus Christ,” she says in her native Georgian drawl.

With that, you spend the next half hour or so showering Fairless, getting her fed, getting dressed (she still sleeps in the nude, you got to wonder what’s up with that.), and finally, you’re on your way to the airport.

“You know, I was thinking on moving the Juniors out of the Cromwell. Maybe we can give the Cromwell to the Japanese?”

Nancy says, “Well, I’m sure they’d like to pick what tank they’d like.”

Lisa nods. “Yeah, I mean, truth be told. The only things we really have available are the Chi-Ha and the Panther chassis and neither are particularly in a condition for fighting if you figure that.”

You nod. “True, I suppose. I just worry for the Juniors, Betty might overworked all on her own in the turret.”

“She might break a nail,” says Lisa.

Ah, it took you months before you realize you never actually heard that. Girly stuff.

But regardless, you arrive at the airport in good time. Not as busy early in the morning. You find Rankin and Betty sitting down at a waiting area, and greet them.

“Hey, Gertrude,” says Rankin. “The girls haven’t arrived yet. You think there might be any trouble?”

Four Japanese girls who act like they're Russian, German, Italian and American? What could go wrong?
>>
>>32310087

We could, but I think the info we get will be much too limited based on how the only info we have is watching matches. Their tank lineup will probably give us a better idea of what they like to do.

Also, Yukari's recon missions are a personal favorite and if the QM is going to give us a chance for those shenanigans I shall support them.

You shrug. “Could go either way. I’m personally willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. What do you think?”

Rankin says, “Well, it’ll be exciting to show them around. Dusted off my Japanese.”

“You speak Japanese?” you ask.

“Yeah,” says Rankin. “Only a few phrases though. Like, ‘Where is the bathroom?’, ‘Which way to the train station?’, tourist stuff.”

You nod. Certainly not French.

Thusly, you spend some time waiting for their arrival. You shoot the shit with Rankin a bit, learning about how she raised all her siblings. Nancy grooms Lisa and Fairless a bit for the new arrivals while Ramirez and Kitten simply sit around. At least it’s not the DMV or god forbid MEPS.

But finally, Rankin points them out. “You see those four Japanese girls?”

You nod. “Yep.”

Rankin waves to them, and they walk over, bags trailing behind them. A poor busboy especially is carrying a decent amount of things for Assam. Alisa smiles, greeting you all. “Good morning, y’all!”

You nod, gesturing to Rankin. “This is Jeannette Rankin. She’ll be showing you around the school a bit, if you got any questions, ask her.” You gesture to Nancy as well, who bows politely to them. “And that’s my Vice President, Nancy Whitmore. You’ll be staying with her.”

Assam smiles. “Good, good!” She offers her hand. “I believe we met before, Pool-san.”

You shake her hand. “We did, back at the Tank Meet. Same with Alisa.”

The one in the BFP Uniform who you guessed is Wakuza Nezumi says, “So when do we get our Panzer?” She glares at you a bit. “It better be of German steel, I am not particular to anything else.”

You say, “Our tanks are coming along. We will see what we have for you, Nezumi.”

Betty walks up. “Hello there!” She says, “Betty Grable, Junior Class President. I’d like to welcome you all to the Lafayette Girls Academy and we hope your stay at our school is an exciting one full of learning experiences and fond memories!”

Fairless walks up as well, and immediately the Japanese girls balk at her. “I’m Bernadette Fairless. Senior Class President. Nice to meet you.”

The four girls look between each other, then immediately push Nezumi up front. Nezumi chuckles nervously. “Ehehehe… nice to make your acquaintance Oppai I MEAN-“ She snaps her fingers, shutting her eyes briefly. Then she says, “… Fairless-san.”

Assam pushes the last one forward. “And that’s Izumi-kun.”

Izumi offers her hand, glaring at you deeply. “It is an honor to be serving under those that Nishi-dono finds worthy.”

You shake it. “Yeah,” you say. Passive aggressive much.

But, now you’re all here. You check the time. 6 O’Clock. Time to head to school. “Have you guys had breakfast?” you ask.

“In-flight breakfast,” says Assam. “I mean, what’s the deal with airline food? It’s so filling but yet so cheap.”

You swear you’ve heard that before but it’s time to get to school. Thusly, you lead everyone on back to school.

“No no,” says Alisa. “It’s a type of tea from China.”

“How would you know?” asks Assam.

“I’ve tried it,” says Alisa. “It tastes horrible.”

“It does not!” says Assam.

Nezumi harrumphs. “Well put me in a Panzer, that is what I look forward to.”

Izumi nods, also harrumphing in the same manner. “I am at home in fine superior Japanese armor-“ Nezumi bursts out laughing. “What!?”

Nezumi slaps her knee. “Superior Japanese armor?!” She goes off on Izumi in untranslated Japanese, to which Izumi blushes intensely, glaring at Nezumi with puffed out cheeks.

Alisa nods. “He’s handsome!”

“Well, that’s what happens you get a statue,” you say. “They say if you spin his spurs, you’ll be granted good luck.”

The Japanese girls gasp, then immediately run over and start spinning his spurs. Rankin laughs a bit. “They’re green as grass,” she says.

Nancy’s smile fades a bit. “Oh, I know what you mean, Lisa.”

Lisa sympathetically hugs Nancy. “I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay,” says Nancy.

But, regardless, you all sit down for lunch.

“Alright, guys,” you say. “Australia is where we’re headed. And apparently it’s going to snow.”

“Why?” asks Lisa. “They’re in the Southern hemisphere, it should be summer for them-“

You shrug. “Global warming. Anyway, it’s going to be a bit cold, there’s going to be a blizzard even which might sap some visibility. Maybe we can talk to Barkas and her girls about winter camo or something.” You look over to Ramirez. “You think you can do that, Ramirez?”

Ramirez nods. “Sure. We can get it done after school today.”

“Alright,” you say. “Other than that. I think we’re all fine and dandy. We just need to settle transport though. How are we going to get our tanks to Australia?”

Lisa nods. “Good question.”

Nancy says, “I can put in a call to Northrop Grumman. They’ve been cooperating closely with the Aeroscraft project.”

“That could work, Nancy,” you say.

ALARM

Welp, that’s it for lunch.

Claire pulls you aside however before you can get to Health Class. She looks positively pissed. “You. I need your help with something, would you mind?”

You shake your head. “No.”

Claire says, “So, are you helping or not?”

You say, “Yeah, I’ll help. When I say no to that question, I mean I don’t mind and I will help.”

“I should stop asking it like that,” says Claire. “Anyway, come on.”

With that, Claire takes you aside into the Janitor’s closest. “What?” you ask. “Are we going to clean something-“

She locks the door.

“Um.” You point to the door. “You just locked the door.”

Claire nods, then looks at you. “What’s your angle?”

You tilt your head. If this bitch wants you done, you can use her as a battering ram to take that door down. “My angle?” you ask.

“You and Bernadette,” she says. Oh, that’s what this is.

You say, “You have a crush on her or-“

“NO I DON’T HAVE A CRUSH ON HER!” Claire shouts. She takes a deep breathe, then sighs heavily. “No. I just happen to think of her very highly. She’s worked for LGA for so long and… I know she can be scary and all that but she’s honestly a nice person.”

You cross your arms. “I know.”

“So what’s going on between you two?” says Claire. “I mean, I see you with your friend, Kitten. Are you some kind of uh…”

“What’s this all about?” you ask.

Claire sighs. “Last night, when we were walking home. Bernadette may have said something, said she might consider dropping her full run at Yale to go another college. I asked why, she said she might consider something else and I have a feeling you have something to do with it.”

You shrug. “I don’t. I mean, I’d love to go to Princeton, I have no clue why she’d drop Yale in favor of say, JMU or NOVA.” Claire glares at you. You sigh at that. “Claire, listen, if you think this has anything to do with me and Bernadette being lovey-dovey, you’re wrong. Alright?”

Claire still stares at you.

“Look,” you say. “My sexuality might be in up in the air. Truth be told, I do find Bernadette a bit attractive and she is a nice girl. However, I do not have time for romance. I have to put the school first. Once the tournament’s done and we’ve won, maybe I’ll consider it. Maybe I’ll invest in Princeton too. I dunno. What do you want me to say?”

Claire places her hands on her hips. “I just want to make sure Bernadette doesn’t get hurt. Especially not by someone she regards so highly, you understand?”

“I understand,” you say.

With that, Claire lets you out of the closet. Then you say, “Listen, Claire. I’m going to be honest with you. If you pull that shit with the closet again, I want you to understand. You’re not locking me in with you, you’re locking yourself in with me.”

Claire crosses her arms, sizing you up. “Please. I have four brothers. You can’t scare me.”

You blink. “Oh god, now I just feel sorry for you.”

Claire laughs a bit. “Take care of yourself.” She pats your back and walks off.

Oh well. The rest of the day goes by without more incident, and soon you find yourself outside the campus with classes already over.

You meet up with Michelle as she walks home from school. “Hey, Michelle. Want to get some snacks or something?”

Michelle smiles at you. “Sure,” she says.

You walk out of the drug store with some cheaps and a bit of soda. Michelle takes a huge swig of Sprite as you say, “So, Michelle. Anything new with you?”

Michelle shrugs. “Not really. I was just working on my letters of recommendation.”

“Oh?” you ask.

Michelle smiles. “Working on my dream college! University of Virginia. Might move into the area of English. What about you, you pick a college?”

You shrug. “Not yet, I don’t really have to worry about that now, do I?”

“It’s never too early,” says Michelle.

Hmph. Never too early.

You end up at the usual BBQ place. You decide a light dinner of some ribs, a few slices of ham, and a large soda would suit you fine. Michelle barely has anything on her plate anyway.

Michelle says, “So, Gertrude. How are things with you and Kitten, anything new?”

You say, “Well, Kitten’s probably hanging with Charlotte or Nancy. Truth be told, she’s really been on her own these days.” You smile. “I’m proud of that. She’s being her own person you know?”

Michelle nods. “I’m glad. She seemed so shy when we first met you know?”

“Well,” you shrug. “Now she ain’t. And if I’m honest, I’m glad.” You take a sip of your soda.

Michelle says, “So… are you here to talk about what happened?”

OH MOTHER OF GOD SOME OF IT WENT UP YOUR NOSE OH JEEZ

“Are you okay?” asks Michelle. She hands you a napkin, and you cough and hack at the fizz in your throat.

You nod. “Yeah.”

You shrug a bit, wiping your nose. “Well- I don’t mean to be a burden, Michelle. I just would uh… yeah.”

Michelle shrugs, leaning back in her seat. “Well. I figure that I’m not just going to escape this I suppose.” She says, “I mean, after the accident, the team did disband. We all went to separate schools. Stuff like that. We all lost contact with Ekins, and considering her disability we don’t think she made it on an Academyship.”

“That’s sad,” you say.

“Really,” says Michelle.

“Okay, yeah,” you say. “Walked into that one. Maybe you should get in touch with her again.”

Michelle huffs. “Why would she want to talk to me? I ruined her future after all.”

With that, the door opens up. Rankin walks inside with all the Japanese girls. “Now, this is the BBQ place. The Tankery team likes to eat here a lot and hello, Gertrude!” she walks over.

“Hey,” you say, smiling. “How are you girls enjoying LGA?”

Nezumi says, “For an American school, it’s well-built.” She looks over at Michelle, then her eyes widen a bit. “Are you Michelle DeWitt?”

Michelle looks at her like she just sprouted a penis on her forehead. “… you know who I am?”

Izumi gasps. “Of course! You are one of the most famous American ace gunners!” She and Nezumi grin wildly. “Oh, goodness! We are honored!”

“Um.” Michelle looks around. “Thank you, I-“

Alisa sits down next to her, smiling. “I saw when your Tiger hit that Pershing with a crippling frontal blow! Right through the coaxial gun! Amazing!”

“I-“ Michelle looks a bit nervous.

“Well, I just called. I mean, I’ve heard of you too, Ekins.”

“Really? How about that?”

“Well, it’s mostly because I happen to know one of your old crews.”

“Oh? Who?”

“The Tiger aces.”

“… Ah.”

“I hope it’s nothing sensitive.”

“No, not at all! I mean, honestly speaking, we did sort of break it off with each other, I assume they told you about the accident.”

“Yeah.”

“Funny thing these shells. You know, rumor has it the ITL designs them so that they curve away from human signatures mid-flight. It’s why the Japanese are pretty fond of fighting open-topped. I think I more or less proved that wrong.”

“Mhm. I hope I’m not treading hallowed ground here.”

“Not at all! So how are the girls doing? I assume they’re the ones in that killtacular Konigstiger. Good pick for them I must say, I always did have a fondness for the Royal. Excellent ground pressure for its size and weight, it’s not as clumsily slow as people might make it out to be.”

“Well, they seem fine. Michelle’s been having some trouble with the… accident and all.”

“I gathered. You know, I considered visiting them when I had the time.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. I help coach Annandale High School’s Tankery team. It’s a modest team, only two Shermans and a Stuart to its name, but I think it has potential.”

“You should visit. Heck, you should bring your team around too. Bring your tanks, we’ll have a good old fashioned spat.”

“Three versus fifteen. Sounds fair.”

“Okay, I don’t mean it like that, I do fight fair.”

“I know. Anyway, that does sound like a good idea. I’d need time to get everything together, at least a week’s worth. Actually, LGA’s coming back to Virginia for Thanksgiving right?”

“Yeah. You can visit then?”

“Totally. We can even have a Thanksgiving showmatch or something at Lake Braddock.”

“Neat. We’ll see you there then, Ekins.”

“Cool beans. Good luck with Pravda, they’ll be a tough nut to crack.”

“Yeah, thanks!”

With that, Ekins hangs up. She seems a lot more well-adjusted than you thought she’d be.

Now though. What to do now?

Fairless on the other hand, is the grand prize.

For a team that small, even 10k would be a great boon.

We can easily afford 10k. Especially over the course of the next few weeks. LGA has been blessed with good fortune and better friends who have donated heavily to the reconstruction of our tanks. The 10k would be a pittance compared to what we might have had to fork out if we had no help.

> Head Somewhere

You arrive at the Sewing Club’s Mobile Sewing Club Outpost based out of a tent based out of their M3 Scout Car on the side of the street.

Anna greets you. “Hi, Gertrude!”

“Hey, Anna…” something catches your eye. “The fuck is that?”

Mamie holds up a very loud dress with all kinds of ornate gears, a hat which appears to be some kind of tank turret, and tank tread leggings. “This is one of our prototypes for the fashion show.”

“… it seems kind of loud, don’t you think?” you say.

Anna says, “Oh, Gertrude! You might think, ‘Oh no, she’s doing that thing where they do the bright and colorful peacock dresses that nobody ever wears!’ But! This is how the Sewing Club makes art! It’s like how in the Modern Art museum there’s a picture with a dot on the wall.”

You nod. That’s nothing like that you admit.

So, random thought for the exhibition match at Lake Braddock: two matches, the first is five versus five with us loaning the Aces and another team to Ekins and us using some of the less experienced teams, the second is the rest of the club against each other (individual or on teams, don't know). That way, everyone can get some practice in without everything getting too overwhelming for the team that only has three tanks.

Random thought, German: is there any sort of mercenary rule for Tankery matches? I mean, are there free agents that can compete for a team?

You shrug. “I can dig it, Anna. Just, you know. Fairless and the Juniors are doing this as a favor. Don’t try and push them or nothing. Have them wear something that’s a little casual too, maybe even throw in the uniforms into the mix.”

Bess says, “You just don’t have an eye for haute couture.”

“I don’t claim to,” you say. “The only French I know is comment tu t’appelle and voulez-vous coucher avec moi. Oui?”

Mamie and Bess giggle a bit at that.

Anna says, “I see your point. Also, we managed to raise the last bit of money we needed thanks to that fundraiser. We’re pretty much all the way funded now!”

“Great,” you say. “Why are you still out in the Scout Car?”

Mamie says, “It grew on us. We sleep in it now too, occasionally.”

“You’re going to catch a cold,” you say.

Anna grins at you. “Well, if you ever need a dress or anything, feel free to ask! Anything is free for you, Gertrude!”

“How do you think our uniforms will hold in cold weather?” you ask.

“Well, I have special made tanker jackets for everyone. Including trenchcoats as well. Beyond that, the uniforms should also hold against the cold weather too. Though, I’d recommend pantyhose or high stockings. Miniskirts aren’t exactly cold weather friendly.”

“Don’t the uniforms come with pants?” you ask.

Mamie says, “We did make pants, they weren’t popular with the crews surprisingly. Besides which, you need your legs moving around. A miniskirt at least is better than just running around pantless.”

Ah, that reminds you of that weird anime Kitten watched.

You ask, “Speaking of which though. I was thinking on pajamas.”

“Ooooh!” Anna beams at that, shoving you into a chair next to the Scout Car. “Oh, we offer several options!” Bess hands her a clipboard. “First, we have sleepshirts, then we have cute little nightgowns I think those would look good on you. “Of course,” you say. You smile at her. “Thanks, Anna! Really appreciate it!”

“Right then, on you go! We don’t want to keep you for too long.”

At that, you leave. Maybe it’s time to see what the History Club is up to. You arrive back at the Sophomore dorms and open up Keegan’s door. It’s open for some reason.

All of them are fast asleep around a table, books open, blankets around their shoulders. Keegan snores soundly, her cheek pressing against a giant textbook on Roman History.

You decide a quick look around Keegan’s dorm would suit your fancy. You turn the light on and-

“AGH!” The girls wake up immediately. “Turn the goddamn light off!” yells Sandra.

“Sorry,” you say. You shut it off immediately. Historians, man. They groan as they return to their historiography work.

Keegan says, “What are you doing here?”

You shrug as you take a look at some papers on Keegan’s counter. “Your door was open, decided I wanted to see if any of you guys needed help.”

Jeannette Smith says, “Well, maybe. You ever do Model UN?”

You shake your head. “I always thought Model UN people were nerds who were too cool for Theatre.”

“That’s true,” says Sandra.

Keegan says, “Well, tell you what. If you’d like to help us, we’d like to ask you a big favor then.”

You nod. “Go on.”

Keegan says, “We’d like to ask if you be a mediator of sorts. You see, the Model UN is very fiercely divided amongst the nations you know? And… while we provide the scenario, help sort of be the Game Master to their Roleplayers. I dunno, could you just be there for us during all of it?”

You shrug. “Hey, I’ll do it. I won’t strip if that’s what you want.”

Smith says, “Shame, that probably would’ve pacified them faster than the Anglo-Zanzibar war.”

“But regardless,” says Keegan. “I hope you can do it.”

“So, girls. How are Russian tanks in snowy mountains?”

Sandra says, “Well, Russian tanks like the T-34 and the KV-1 were notorious for their ability to bounce the standard AT gun at the time, the 37mm gun. For their ability to cross snow, you had stuff like wide tracks, an engine that didn’t freeze, stuff like that. That’s more on the strategic level, but on the tactical level where we fight, the T-34 definitely is going to have an edge. Especially if they field lighter SU-76s.”

Keegan nods. “Agreed. A single KV-2 once held up an entire division, I wouldn’t be surprised if it did the same thing with us.”

Sandra says, “Otherwise, for mountains, that’s a different story. Russia in particular, at least in the area where they fought, didn’t really have any mountains. Tanks really aren’t all that great in mountain country anyway unless you’re in a Churchill or a very powerful tank. I think if you’re planning on using mountain passes as chokepoints, you’re safe.”

You nod. “Got any sources to back that up?”

“Gah!” Sandra tugs on her hair, looking around desperately. “Oh no! I didn’t cite my sources! Oh no, where’s my bibliography!”

“I was kidding.”

“Oh,” says Sandra. She smiles nervously. “Okay.”

...Huh. Never considered that as an option. Totally possible if not for the fact that we'll be fielding the magicians in the next round.

At the very least we need to speak with the teams to see if they're willing to make the switch.

> Head Somewhere Else

You walk onto Fairless’ place.

“Let go of me!” says Kitten as you carry her on your shoulder.

With Kitten on your shoulder.

“Now, Kitten,” you say. “This is a great chance for you to get to know Bernadette! You know, I have you know, she’s quitting that smoking habit of hers. Might replace it with gum or lollipops.”

“I’ve seen enough bad One Piece dubs to know that lollipops do not make good replacements for cigarettes.”

You say, “I don’t even know what that is.”

But regardless, you knock on Fairless’ door. Nancy answer it in a shirt and her underwear. “Oh, Gertrude, hi!”

You nod. “Ah, were we interrupting something?”

Nancy says, “Oh no, no. I was just giving Fairless a bath before I tucked her into bed.” You all walk in. You set Kitten down like a hunk of wood.

Kitten says, “Why are you giving her a bath?”

“Because it’s always nice to have someone scrub your back for you when you can’t!” says Nancy.

You look at Kitten, smirking. “She’s got a point.”

> Talk to Someone (Fairless)

You and Kitten wait at the door, looking into see Nancy sitting at the edge of the tub, scrubbing at Fairless’ soapy wet body in the tub. Fairless keeps her arms crossed as she looks ahead, while Nancy happily hums the tune of “Angel Band”.

You say, “So, Bernadette. Claire came to me, we got in a closet together, she gave me a serious tongue lashing.”

“Did she?” asks Fairless. “Well, I’m happy for you and Claire then-“

“Not like that,” you say. “What’s with you wanting to drop your run for Princeton?”

“Oh,” Fairless brushes a bit of her wet hair back. “Well, I’d like to keep my options open, you know?”

“Yeah, but this close to college?” asks Kitten.

“Well,” says Fairless.

“You should take Princeton,” you say. “Honestly, it’s a good college. I’d love to go to it myself.”

“Agreed!” says Nancy. “Though, my preference is Dartmouth actually.”

Fairless sighs. “Hm, I suppose.”

“Right!” says Nancy. “Legs please!”

Fairless says, “You know, Nancy. We have guests over, maybe I should-“

“Bernadette.” Nancy frowns at her, stern. “Cleanliness is next to godliness.” She offers her hand. “Legs.”

Fairless rolls her eyes, then kicks her nude, sopping wet, well-toned leg oh god wait what no stop. You look over at Kitten, who is blushing intensely. Right, you can wait your turn.

After Fairless and Nancy are done, you and Kitten decide on a bath together too.

Though, it’s more like you two just relaxing in the nice hot bath. Kitten leans back against body, sitting in your lap. She says, “I saw your pajamas. They seemed really cute.”

You say, “Yeah, I had Anna make them for me.”

Kitten smiles a bit. “Well, can’t wait to see you in them.”

> Talk to Kitten

“Why? So you can peel me out of them, Kitty?”

Kitten giggles a bit. “Ah, always have to make things gay, don’t you?”

“Come on!” you say. “You know you want me.”

“I already have you,” says Kitten. “What more could I want?”

You roll your eyes, tousling at her wet hair.

With that, you leave the bath, exhausted, tired, and a bit overheated. You were in there for WAAAY too long. You carry Kitten out as you see Nancy pack her things. “Nancy?” you ask. “What are you up to?”

Nancy frantically puts her things in her bags. “I just remembered I have to accommodate the Japanese girls. Silly me!” She thunks her head playfully. “But irregardless, Gertrude, I hope you don’t mind-“

“Not at all,” you say as you set Kitten down on the couch. You look over at Fairless, who’s already sound asleep in her bed.

Nancy says goodbye and leaves the dorm. You sigh, sitting on the bed.

What now? You’re too tired to do anything else. Kitten’s already asleep too sad to say.

Oh! As a suggestion, perhaps the instructor of the day should invite the combined Japanese team to speak of their experiences with Pravda during the classroom sessions.

And since I cannot find the combat area, I guess we'll have to rely on the recently acquired perks from the loyal crews.
Team Last-Chancers pre-battle positioning will be especially crucial for this.

the landmass that Australia has governance and sovereignty over in the Antarctic is actually Australian territory, so it could still be 'in Australia'

Sure, but she'll calm down regardless of what she's commanding in that case. She's either initially satisfied being in a German tank or reluctantly satisfied in any other except Japanese.

I don't think the choice matters much at all, though. While I'd prefer and vote for putting them in the Panther, the T-34 would do just as well in the end.

Probably not too much of the scheme of things. Was just thinking back that since Maho's message on her dossier said that she'll unlearn her prejudice under our command, putting her in something other than a german tank would help that attitude of hers.

Theres also the possibility that her getting the panther would make her extremely proud and haughty and create friction within her team as she lords over that fact, and with the other crews due to them not being in German Armour.
>>
>>32319055
T-34 or variant will good for this.

Or any Italian tanks.
