The last thing you remember was finding a dead woman outside your safehouse. The first thing you remember is making some tea for her.

Your name is Alice Lindon, an experimental Infiltration/Assassination android who is now calmly making a pot of tea for the woman in the master bedroom upstairs, who by all accounts is the mother of the three heiresses of the Kanzaki Eastern Europe Branch Family.

This is by all accounts rather concerning, mostly because you have no idea of the circumstances that caused her to be cryogenically preserved, if she was preserved.

And if she was, then how the hell did she get loose?

You need answers, and hopefully this woman can provide them.

But should you approach her?

Rules Primer for New Players:
1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Burst Fire and Full-Auto Fire attacks can be done multiple times in one action, but each attack after the first incurs a cumulative -10 penalty.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

You can target multiple enemies in a single action. Roll 1d100+modifier for each target. Specify for each roll the target and the attack used.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.

You take the tea, cream and sugar upstairs to find the woman is now looking around the room since you last left her in a sobbing, emotionally ruin.

Hearing you come in, since you aren't bothering to be quiet, she smiles weakly at you, "Thank you, I'm sorry about breaking down like that."

Libraries provide you with the necessary information as you smile back, "Don't worry about it, you've had a rough time. Now then, how do you take your tea?"

Turns out she takes it sweet, with plenty of cream. A bit much really, but you can't fault her for wanting something comforting as she manages to take a dainty sip.

Gently rubbing her back, you speak to her, "I know you don't want to talk about it right now, but I'm going to need to know what happened to you. Should I call the police?"

Her head whips around to face you, "NO! No police! They're in his pocket, if I go to them, they'll inform him and kill me!"

Well, that's not troubling at all. You maintain your smile and nod understandingly, "All right, but do you have any friends? People I can call who can help you?"

She shakes her head, "No...he killed them all, wanted me to be alone, to have no-one to turn to."

You frown, "What? What happened? Who did this to you?"

She sobs, "Ichi...he killed them, wanted me to vanish so he could use me for his experiments." She seems close to breaking down and you move to comfort her, but she holds up a hand, "No, you should hear this, so at least someone knows the truth."

She finishes her tea in a single gulp and sighs, "My name is Elsa, and I used to be the wife of Ichiro Kanzaki, head of the Eastern Europe branch of the Kanzaki Family."

Your files tell you that Elsa Kanzaki died in a car accident.

"But after we were married, and I had my first daughter, Chiyo, there was an accident. Our car was struck by a truck and I was put into a coma."

She grips your hand, "When I woke up, I found out that Chiyo had vanished and Ichi...he told everyone that I was dead."

(Cont.)
>>
"Ichiro, he was obsessed with the genetic enhancements of the Battlefield Generation, but such people are nearly impossible to capture and Ichi lost hundreds of paid mercenaries and his own men for little gain. So he decided that he would find a way to make his own, to start from scratch."

You raise an eyebrow, "But there's no way for anyone to recreate a Battlefield Generation, not without the secret of the rapid genetic manipulation used."

The woman nods, "He decided to use a Generational Method instead. Slower, inherently risky, but reliable. But there were side-effects. They...came out wrong."

Unsurprising. Generation-based Eugenics were the most risky form of genetic manipulation even with the new-found reliability, because there was still a risk of side-effects and failure.

Still, you are glad for the loss of the rapid-manipulation technology used on the Battlefield Generation, humanity could ill-afford more of them after the mess of the Chaos Twenty.

You continue to hold her hand as she let off a soft sob, "My darling girls, they were physically what Ichi wanted, but mentally...they were cruel, ruthless creatures. They had no concept of 'Love', only 'Possession', and created a facade to draw in others."

She smiles at you, tears in her eyes, "But I loved them all the same, as any mother would love their children."

Statistical information tells you otherwise, but you nod and remain smiling.

"He wanted his daughters to be the very best, and created an entire regimen and program for their entire lives, to ensure that the next generation would be even better."

No love, only a facade, was that why Ian left her? Because he found out it was all an act? If so, then Midori's act was clearly the better of the twins.

You consider what to say...

>"What happened to you?"
>"You should get some rest, we can talk later."

The woman flinched, "The treatments, to make my girls, they made me sick and even though I received treatment...Ichiro ordered me to be frozen."

So, keeping her as a backup? You file that theory away, and instead ask, "You escaped?"

She shook her head, "I was frozen, and I don't know how long I was in there, but then...I was woken up."

Her smile was sad, "It was my daughter, Chiyo, she had come to free me."

"Chiyo..."

You grab the pad and pencil on the bed-side table, which you had checked for hidden messages or old notes, and begin sketching an image.

"Is this Chiyo?" You ask, showing the woman a perfect sketch of Kitsune. The woman, Elsa you remind yourself, looks at the sketch and her eyes widen.

"Yes...this is my Chiyo! She saved me when I managed to escape that place." Elsa looks up at you, "But how..."

>"I was there, for different reasons."

"Your daughter rescued me," you explain further and the woman smile proudly.

"That's my darling girl. Chiyo was always such a kind child. After she rescued me, she told me to come here, to my old house, where she would meet with me later."

Meet with her...

"What time?" You ask, a sinking feeling registering in your altitude systems for some reason.

Elsa looks at a nearby clock, "Um...she should be coming right about-"

You hear the door open and nearly wonder how when you realise that nanowire makes for very effective lockpicks.

You smile and turn your head, "Oh, looks like she's here." Elsa's expression brightens as the door opens and you see the armoured form of Kitsune walk in, and then halt as she spots you.

"You?!" She sputters in surprise, "What are you doing here?"

You cock your head slightly, "I own this house."

"That..." Kitsune seems to have been rendered speechless for several seconds before sighing, "Of course, it would have been asking too much. Fine, but you better not kick my mother out!"

You giggle, "My Mother would kill me if I did such a thing. She can stay as long as she likes. But tell me Chiyo Kanzaki, what do you intend to do about your sisters?"

With a hiss, the helmet detaches and Kitsune removes it, revealing a head of light-blonde, nearly white, hair and soft brown eyes on a face that is nearly identical to her mother.

"Guess there's no point hiding it. My name is Chiyo Kanzaki, and if you're willing, I would like your help."

You raise an eyebrow and motion for her to continue and Chiyo takes in a deep breath, "Ichiro Kanzaki, my father, has captured a Battlefield Generation and is keeping him under heavy sedation. As long as he is alive, I can't kill Ichiro or my sisters."

She regards you with cool eyes, yet you see the plea in them, "I can rescue this man, but I need somewhere to hide him. Can you help me by hiding him here?"

>"Is he that important?"
>"..."
>"Explain something for me."

And the word safe shouldn't even apply here. I imagine all we can do is minimize damage if we go this route.

>Explain something for me.
Let's ask about what's going on with her sisters, Hana and Midori. Based off of previous sessions, she should know a fair bit.
>>
>"Explain something for me."

"This Battlefield Generation. Do you know who he is?" You have access to two veterans of your own, who could provide suitable intelligence based on the sheer number of battlefields they've been to.

Chiyo frowns, "I only managed to find out the codename. The files say he's called 'Cobra', and that he's some kind of infiltration specialist."

You nod, "Cool, I'm something of a military geek, so I could see if there's anything important that you'll need to know for the rescue."

Chiyo smiles, "Thank you, I'd almost thought you'd refuse."

You wave it off, "I'm not about to refuse a person in need. But just so you know." You glare at her, "You do anything to bring danger here, and I'll punch you."

Chiyo smiles, "Got it. Just...keep my mother safe, please."

You nod and she vanishes, as Elsa smiles bitterly, "I never knew just how far that man would go...to do that to my baby girl."

You turn slightly.

>"I have to make a phone call. Stay here and rest."

She seems sane enough compared to the others.

We need to dig for information about how midori is twisted. She was able to fool us, so we need to see what we missed.
>>
>>32516797
Midori never completely fooled us. We've always been aware that she could be a manipulative bitch of a yandere that could be trying to get Ian to dump us by making herself a victim. We just didn't want to ruin our relationship with Ian, so we tried to get along with her at least. Which we still will do, if only to beat her at her own game.

>"What do you mean?"

"Ichiro...he did that to my Chiyo, fused her into that suit. I...I only saw her face, right before they opened fire as she tried to escape."

Elsa seems to on the verge of a breakdown, so you encourage her to drink more tea and rest, heading downstairs to the living room to think.

You have priorities now. First thing you need to do is make a phone call, and you quickly dialed Rebecca at the hospital.

She answered immediately, "Alice?"

"How soon before your shift ends, I need to talk to about something."

"I'll be home in a few hours. What's wrong? Is Ian okay?"

"Ian's fine, but it's something about your past."

Rebecca's voice suddenly turns cold and professional, you have her interest, "Understood. I'll be home soon. You had best be there."

"I will." You promise and hang up.

You look back up to the master bedroom and decide that it would be in your best interest to protect that woman as best you can.

Somehow, you have a feeing that Chiyo is the best ally you have in this mess.

Nothing.

You open the secret door and close it behind you quickly, walking over to the humming surveillance gear and immediately type in Ian's name and wait for the satellites to focus on him.

After a few minutes, you find him, with Midori and your eyes immediately narrow as you watch him spend time with his childhood friend.

Outwardly, you are calm, inwardly you shut down hundreds of thousands of emotional responses as you grab a cheap stress-toy from the desk and squeeze.

It detonates in your hand, spraying goo on the wall as you toss it away and grab another one from the nearby box.

You were lucky in finding the boxes in the basement, it seemed Mom went through more than a few of these herself.

That bitch...how dare she.

HOW DARE SHE KISS IAN!

You inhale and then turn around and leave the surveillance room, you have to meet with Rebecca.

You check over your new motorcycle with mechanical precision, making sure it's ready to go before straddling the machine and kicking it into action.

As the turbine engine screams to life and you slip the helmet on, you forcefully tell yourself not to confront Ian about what happened.

Ian's yours, he'll tell you, and then you'll fix it. You smile, hopefully some of that fixing will involve kissing, and some heavy petting.

You accelerate out of the garage and head for home.
