/tg/ - Traditional Games

You are Reinhold, master swordsman and victor of the Royal Swordsmanship Tournament. The King was so impressed with your skill, he personally requested that you be transferred out of the army and into the Royal Guard! Not bad for an orphan who was raised in a brothel in a poor fishing village.

The only issue at this point is your assignment... you've been charged to be the personal guard of the King's only daughter Marianne. While she is the vision of loveliness that you'd expect from a Princess, her personality is... well... she seems to have some issues.

You've only been up for a few hours and your first morning back home has already been fairly eventful. You chatted up Arnaud and Melanie, showed off your newly fixed sword to Elena...

...and you also seem to have indirectly gotten certain members of the castle's staff in trouble. But screw them, they deserve it for ruining your things.

>Congratulations, you are now a timid LLAMA!
>Llamas are strong and hardy... but also rather skittish.
>The Princess considers you to be her friend!
>But while llamas may be majestic, they still don't count as people.

As you slip out of the room, you make sure to quickly close the door behind you so as to make sure that Elena's rabbit doesn't take the opportunity to escape. Considering that a situation like that is how you first met the little princess, you figure that it's probably a good idea to be extra careful there.

And so, with your visit with Elena done with, you hurry on down to the dining hall. Best to get there while you still have time to spare, after all.

Though you do get a few nervous glances from maids along the way, you make it to your usual post beside the door to the dining hall without any real delay on your part. After readjusting your temporary two-sword configuration on your belt (this really is cumbersome), you lean against the wall and let your mind wander...

"Ehehe, I thought that you'd find that a relief," Melanie's voice echoes from not too far down the hallway.
"Yes, well you know how much I disliked it to begin with," you hear Marianne reply in a decidedly exasperated tone.
"I bet Princess Luciana will be happy to hear about that as well."

The familiar sounds of the other maids' giggling fills the hallway as the Princess and her entourage continue along their path, only for the lot of them to stop in front of you.

"I see that you haven't forgotten about your duties," Marianne says as she gives you a once-over. "...you know, wearing two swords doesn't necessarily mean that you'll become twice as good with a sword."

Sadly, the maids don't seem to get your joke at all... and neither does Melanie. They all just kind of stand there, unsure as to how to respond to the Princess's clear embarrassment.

"I'm going to get Luciana for this, I swear..." Marianne grumbles as she slowly regains her composure. "...where is she, anyways?" she turns to Melanie. "She said that she wanted to have breakfast with us since this is probably the last time that it'll be feasible, but..."
"Huh?" you blink a few times. "She did?"
"Er," Melanie clears her throat, "I actually went to check on her earlier this morning to make sure that the cooks prepared enough food, but umm..."
"What, is she feeling ill?"
"She said that she was up extremely late last night so she won't be able to make it."

Upon hearing that, Marianne seems extremely disappointed... but then a wicked grin forms on her lips.

"Very well, I suppose it's just the two of us eating as usual," Marianne says, shrugging. "Let's take our seats already, there's no sense in loitering out here."

With that, Marianne leads the way into the dining hall. You follow closely behid her, and her maids trail in the back until the two of you take your usual seats.

actually most "simple" geometry is only on a 2D plane with only the most basics of 3 dimensional shapes. actually calculating their exact shapes and the volume under their curves would be calculus, especially if you use spherical coordinates to calculate those curves

and that's not even counting the fact that you would need to move up to 4 dimensions in order to factor in the time coefficient of jiggle

It really is a pain to get these things positioned right so that they don't jab you in the side while you sit down... luckily, you're only going to have to put up with this for one day.

"...what are you doing?" Marianne asks as she watches you, slightly amused.
"Trying to sit down with these things," you reply as you carefully take the hilt of your sword and try to- "oh yeah, I still haven't told you!"
"...eh?"
"This one right here is actually -my- sword!" you say with a wide grin on your face.

It's a lot easier to be excited about telling someone about your new sword when you don't have to worry about them potentially doing something stupid with it.

You'll be fine anon. There is a sea of female losers out there that can't do any better than you. If you want kids all you have to do is:

"Find the right one" (If you're religious)
"Settle" (If you're an asshole with an overblown sense of self worth)
or
"Realize that mating and reproduction are on a level completely separate from your self loathing brain and find a female that also wishes to reproduce fulfilling one of the primary biological imperitives."

"Don't worry, it's nothing like that," you reply with a nervous chuckle.

You sure as hell hope it's nothing like that.

"So, uh," you begin, "anything new or exciting happening with your lessons today?" you ask. "I'm sure that a certain dance instructor would be happy to know that all her hard work paid off..."
"We were actually talking about that along the way down here," Marianne says.

It might be due to how hungry you are or maybe because of how delicious your food is, but you finish eating long before Marianne does. And with nothing else to do, you simply wait as the she cuts her pancakes into dainty little bites suitable for a Princess and gracefully eats them in a ladylike manner.

It kind of makes you feel ashamed of your own eating habits, though they're nowhere as bad as they were when you first started this job. But then you remember that the King himself isn't much better than you are in that regard, and whatever shame you felt vanishes.

"Now to start the actual day's business," Marianne says as idly she stretches her arms. "And in case you were wondering, my first class is with Sir Gregory."

>a little bit about witchery

Witches are a specialized type of mage that primarily deal in summoning and contracting with demons. Through complex magic circle arrays, they're able to access what is assumed to be "another world" where God opted not to create humans and dragons, which are the dominant species on this planet.

With no "normal" lifeforms to emulate, the elemental spirits who formed there formed their own ecosystem and culture, completely apart from what is considered recognizable by man. Said to be a world where the elemental spirits, also known as "true demons" are on the top, the descendants born from their physical forms vary massively in terms of power.

It is said that those on the bottom of the scale of power are more than happy to serve the witches, forgoing whatever physical forms they once had in order to be bound into objects such as brooms, books... many witches are even known to bind them to their clothing depending on the specific abilities that the demons possess.

While witches are able to summon and bind lower-levelled demons as they please, the ability to do so freely only extends to those who possess a lower total amount magical energy than the individual witch. While they are capable of calling forth demons of greater strength, said demons are generally unwilling to be placed into an object and treated as a servant. Instead, it is customary for a powerful demon to demand a specific contract in return for being allowed access to a fraction of their power.

What is gained and what is demanded is entirely dependent on the specific demon involved.

Princess Guard Quest 2: The Princess Swordsman and Panty Senketsu

>kill la kill
while i know that lots of people love that show i just could not stand that god damn best friend girl character
>>
"Hey, Marianne?" you turn to the Princess.
"What is it?" she replies.
"Earlier you were saying something about your ballroom dancing classes being replaced by 'more important things,' should I know what those are?"
"Ah, I did mention that," she says, closing her eyes. "To be honest, I consider pretty much everything to be more important than ballroom dancing- no offence to Pauline, of course."

It's always been pretty obvious that she hates having to take that class.

She was funny the first two or three times.

The next twenty or so, not so much.
>>
>>32543892
I hated her so fucking much.
But I liked it when Huge McBeef fell in love with her.

"With that out of the way, I'll finally be able to have my literature class more often," Marianne says with a faint smile. "Father -said- that Sir Gregory's politics class would also be able to last longer, but there's no telling with him," she rolls her eyes. "And then there's the usual etiquette class... Father also mentioned me taking up magic lessons again thanks to what happened back in Marconetti, but I'm not sure if I really want to learn how to kill people more effectively."

With a gloomy look on her face, Marianne turns into the classroom. While most of your life has technically been spent training "to kill people more effectively," it'd be a lie to say that you don't understand how Marianne feels about doing such things herself.

"It's not about killing others, it's about protecting yourself and the people close to you," you say.
"You may say that, but I'm still not exactly thrilled about it," Marianne replies as she takes her seat.

As you turn to the front of the room in order to greet Sir Gregory for the morning, you notice that he looks kind of... confused?

"Luciana isn't with you two?" Sir Gregory asks. "She was going on yesterday about how much she was looking forward to sitting in on my so-called wonderful lectures, too..."
"Melanie didn't tell you?" Marianne turns to him. "Reinhold kept her up last ight so she ended up oversleeping."
"...what."

That look in his eyes... you never ever wanted that to be directed at you.

"I didn't do anything! It was just a bet! I wasn't even in her room!"

"What?"

"you might have overheard our bet last night over rana and sir vincent's eating contest. the loser had to draw a picture of the winner, and since sir vincent won lucianna had to draw a picture of me which kept her up late and nothing else"

This.

That's a tactic against Vincent, not Gregory.

Only way to get Gregory off you is to have him distracted by someone else from his pack.

It's sooner than I intended to, but I'm going to have to call it a night here.
It's nice to finally be able to run again, and I'll try and do so more frequently.
I'd like to actually be able to end this thing sometime in the near future, after all...
Next thread wil be Tuesday night, and U might be starting something entirely different later in the week depending on how things go.

Thanks for playing!

Will it be more or less weeaboo than Pantsu Getter Quest? And than PGQ?
>>
>>32544356
Pantsu Getter was a joke quest, this won't be.

And I only have one setting when it comes to my power level.
>>

Crap, the one night I decide to turn in early, PGQ comes back.
>>
>>32542652
I do like his Spirit List, I think it fits his personality (but LV 70 Soul is too bad) Also why did they give him B. Save? Does he use ammo for attacks?

Also can you give the link for the generator?
>>
>>32546639
It's for his sword throwing attack, you see.
>>
>>32546666
I see, then, it works. (B. Save can give Rein an extra sword to throw, all hail B. Save!)
>>
>>32544209
You know, I get teasing one another, but attempted murder is a bit far.
