Stage Four: Seeing the Bride Before the Wedding Whether You Want to or Not.

You've successfully visited your sister without causing too much of a ruckus, had plenty of tea, and she did an oracular reading through the I Ching for you. She also informed you that you can apparently get most dragon-girls pregnant, that being around you might make them more fertile, that Akari was supposed to be your Oba-chan's secret control over you because you're the reincarnation of some massive dragon god of destruction, and that no man has enough vital energy to get you pregnant.

Oh, and you might be just a touch hyperactive.

That being the case, you're headed toward the safe-house you've appropriated for the job that you're currently on, which is being the body-guard for the Hojo Technical Institute Heiress, Kumatori Kiki, a Wood dragonette that just happens to be a stuck up, self-important, rich not-so-little little girl that just rubs you all the wrong ways. Not to mention she has bigger booms than yours.
>>
>>32691116
Your best friend Hebiki Akari is in charge of the place and she's supposed to have seen to the cuddly little Void oni that assaulted you for stealing her rain. After you killed her and gave her mouth to mouth resuscitation (and your first kiss, incidentally) you discovered her life sucked so bad she was willing to die rather than suffer with it any more, so you stole – er, recruited her, and sent her off to the safe-house. And now she belongs to you! She's supposed to call you....

And your phone goes off! Amazing!

“Aniki, there's a Void oni tomboy-” “Hey!” “-here who says you told her to come here and that she belongs to you now. Is she legitimate, aniki?”

[] She's for real, and don't call me aniki.
[] Yep, she's mine. Oh, she might have some family trying to bring her back. Just hold them off until I get there.
[] Yes, she's legit, and be nice to her.
[] She's mine, all right, I kidnapped her fair and square!
[] Yes, and she owes me for stealing my first kiss. Of course, she was dead at the time, so that's okay, I guess.
>>

Telling here to be nice is redundant, telling her she got our first kiss is needlessly cruel.

Oni=demon.
Kiss stealing=succubi.

Did you just decided to come in this thread without ever reading the previous ones?
>>
>>32691306
I'm going to say this once: It was a joke.
Some people like to ask what a quest is about as a brief summary, rather than having to read every. single. thread archive.
So try not to shit up your own thread with "no fun allowed".
>>
“She's mine fair and square. I stole her rain, then I stole her. And she might have some family hunting her down, just hold them off until I get there. And she's legit, so just do your thing.” Akari is nice to everyone, right up until she decides they need a smack. And she smacks HARD.

“Okay. I'll get her fed and take care of her.”

“You're okay with that?” As if you needed to ask, really.

“Well, it's Ryukusa-aniki, so it can't be helped.”

….you're not quite sure how to take that.

“Okay, I have one more errand to run and I'll be back. What do you want for lunch?”

“Dumplings and pork buns, please.” Well, that was a dumb question, it's almost all she ever ate. The muffled sounds would be her asking Kurao Yui what she would like. “She said anything except beans, aniki.” Makes sense – the first of the year people throw beans out the door to chase off the oni spirits that bring bad luck. Come to think of it, keeping some beans on you might be a good idea – her family isn't half-oni like most of your cousins and siblings are.
>>
>>32691335
>“Well, it's Ryukusa-aniki, so it can't be helped.”

We have trained that one well
>>
>>32691335
“Got it. And Jinyuu-onee-sama says hi, and sends her love.”

“....”

“Hello?”

“Thank you, aniki. I'm glad she's doing good.” She almost sounds choked up.

“Hey, none of that from my Akari-niji.” Fine, she calls you boss, you call her subordinate.

“!” Now that's impressive, you don't think you've ever heard shocked silence so vividly over the phone. “Aniki, you're so bold....”

“Hey, what are you saying!? Never mind, I'll be home soon.”

“Hai, aniki.”

You hang up and run your hand through your hair with a sigh. After Jinyuu-onee-sama explained why Oba-chan wanted Akari near you, you thought it would be stressful dealing with her, but somehow she is just too sweet to concern you with duplicitous aunts and hidden threats.

You manage to wander through Harajuku, and the number of sidelong glances and interested looks your home-made Class-Cute Kimono-Skirt ensemble, which you really need a better name for, the number of looks it gets is gratifying. God of Destruction indeed; maybe destruction of the status quo on cool outfits! But there was that I Ching reading....

Jinyuu-onee-sama divided the stalks, bit by bit, coming up with the calculations that lead her to a specific I Chin hexagram...with one line that was of special significance because it changed from a Yang line to a Yin line....

8, 8, 9, 7, 8, 7

Hexagram - Fifty-Six
Lu / The Wanderer

Fire on the Mountain, catastrophic to man, a passing annoyance to the Mountain:
The Superior Person waits for wisdom and clarity before exacting Justice, then lets no protest sway him.

Find satisfaction in small gains.
To move constantly forward is good fortune to a Wanderer.
SITUATION ANALYSIS:

You are a stranger to this situation.
It is your attraction to the exotic that has led you here, but you will move on to a new vista when this one has lost its mystique.
Because much of this environment is foreign to you, you must exercise only the best judgment.
You don't know the custom here, and it's too easy to cross a line you don't know is there.
Because you are the foreigner in this setting, you have no history to acquit you.
Watch, listen, study, contemplate, then step lightly but decisively on.
There is One Changing Line.
Hexagram Fifty-Six/Line Three:
The traveler causes a fire that burns down the inn.
He loses the trust of his servant and traveling companions.
>>
>>32691548
We're basically an all-natural aphrodisiac/fertility drug.
When we're around, at least one person is getting pregnant, probably two.
>>
>>32691550
>I just don't want people to focus too much on the lewd an make the QM bored with the quest
Fair enough, it's mostly just a joke, too much kicking ass and taking names to get tunnel-vision like that.
>>
>>32691550
That is a forlorn hope, anon... /tg/ not focussing on the lewd is about as probable as the sun not rising.

While that was fairly alarming, your big sister calmed you down, and spoke of the transformed hexagram. The changing line makes one hexagram into another....
Transformed Hexagram:

35 - Thirty-Five
Chin / Aspiration

The Sun shines down upon the Earth:
Constantly honing and refining his brilliance, the Superior Person is a Godsend to his people.
They repay his benevolence with a herd of horses, and he is granted audience three times in a single day.

Promotion.
SITUATION ANALYSIS:

This is a time of reward for good works.
Those you have helped want to show their gratitude.
Benefits come both from on high and from the humble you uplifted.
Accept all gifts graciously, though the reward may not be what you truly need or hoped for.
Some may bestow more than they can afford to give, but you must realize that they need to feel that they have repaid you.
>>
>>32691575
Okay, so observe, be respectful and act carefully huh.
Man, /tg/ is not suited to this fortune at all!
>>
>>32691629
Of course, that's something she determined while separating bundles of yarrow stalks by hand while you had tea and she explained how getting other dragonettes pregnant worked and how no man had enough vitality to actually get you pregnant. Not that you concerned yourself about that sort of thing before.

Still, knowing how your very nearness could increase the chances of Kumatori Kiki getting pregnant, and how you yourself could make her pregnant – though it would take more than a kiss – was worth finding out. She also explained how you might have trouble with Barrier conflicts against other spirit-folk who were closer to your own element and power level. Oni, as tough as they are against brute force, suffer more badly from cuts and slashes, and tend to be physically slower. Half-demons were clever and very difficult to trick or confuse, while youkai-born tended to be vulnerable to magical forces and mystical weapons. Nothing special perhaps but better to know than find out the hard way.

You pick up food for you and your new employee and your best friend, and kick open the door to your safe house.

“Akari! I'm-”

You pause as you see Akari and Yui in the living room, both sitting cross-legged and staring at each other. The dark and fearsome aura they're both projecting makes even you pause as their glittering eyes shoot sparks as the glare at one another.

[] Don't interrupt! It's obviously important!

>>
[X] Lay out the table while they glare at each other and start eating. It's been a long day!
[] Uh, what's going on?

You lay out the table – though you leave the freshly made....really really bitter smelling tea on the table. Piles of ramen bowls, boxes of dumplings and pork buns, and the best rice noodles and egg rolls, and miso soup.

You settles down, glancing between them curiously. Whatever it is, it seems serious....you narrow your eyes and prepare to bop them both to snap them out of it, but then the energy between them starts to waver, unstable and threatening....and then there is a sharp snap as Yui blinks. The dangerous aura dissipates and Yui slams her hand on the table. “Shimmate!” You giggles and covers her mouth with both hands as the oni grabs a cup of tea off the table and slams it quickly, choking she struggles to swallow the tea.

“Ohayo, aniki.” Akari unfolds from the mat she's sitting on and stands up, taking a pair of chopsticks and handing them to you. Yui collapses on the floor, arms wide, the saucer for her tea rolling away. She looks positively nauseous – something you didn't know an oni-chick could be, actually.

“She challenged me to a staring contest and we bet drinking bitter tea.”

“But you don't need to blink, Akari.”

“I know.”
>>
>>32691886
Yui sits up. “Hey, that's cheating!” Akari pushes a bowl of ramen into her hands and some chopsticks, to her surprise. “Ah! Sorry!” She bows to you at waist, head down. “Thank you for taking care of me, Ryukusa-sama!” You blink when she doesn't lift her head, ignoring the food in her hands. You look at Akari, who looks at you just as dumbfounded. An oni ignoring food in favor of subordinating themselves to....well, anything, that's utterly unheard of in your experience, and you have plenty of oni cousins.

“That's all right! Just eat already.”

“Yes, ma'am!” She immediately starts slurping down noodles with impressive haste.

Kneeling seizen, Akari opens up her package of dumplings and pork buns, still steaming and takes delicate, simple bites. “No one has bothered the clan about her presence, aniki. The folders have arrived about the new job.”

[X] So you two are getting along then, huh?

“Did you look at the secret documents, naughty Akari-niji-chan?”

Akari's eyes widen and her cheeks turn bright red, and Yui looks startled and looks at Akari questioningly. Akari holds out both hands and shakes her head rapidly. “No, not like that!”

Yui nods sagely and nod. “Ah, okay then, if you say so.” Akari looks embarassed.

“So you two are getting along then, that's good!” You grin as Yui nods, working on her second set of spring rolls. Akari agrees too, still blushing from your accusation.

“So, give me the basics, and I'll go over them myself later.” You relax, drinking your miso soup and looking at the two of them. Yui is greedily eating, but you planned for that, buying five bowls of ramen for her along with your and Akari's usual for three. Not that Akari eats much more than pork buns and dumplings, which makes how she maintains her body weight a mystery.

“Well, it basically comes out to the fact that there are at least two other groups interested in Kumatori kiki. The first is a group of foreign investors, who seem to think the Hojo Group is planning on making a deal that will cut their profits, and it is possible. The other group is, well, the usual kind of people who like to kidnap rich daughters and blackmail their rich fathers.” Akari finishes her first pork bun as you finish your soup and Yui starts in on her third bowl of ramen. “Oh, her father is human, her mother is a dragon, but her mother had to go to the Celestial Heavens for something and hasn't returned.”

“Yakuza or stupid people?” Stupid people means any criminal element that isn't Yakuza, of course, like legitimate corporations and government agents.

“Chinese Triad.”

Yui sputters and looks shocked. “What!?”

Akari nods as she pops a dumpling in her mouth and chews slowly and politely before answering. “Apparently some weird group call the Eight Immortals is trying to make themselves a name in Japan.” She pours you and Yui tea – not out of the bitter teapot – and then herself some, sipping daintily.

[] It can't be this simple.
[X] What about Hojo security?
[X] What time is our meeting tomorrow?

“You'll be Kumatori-san's main security, aside and separate from the official Hojo security – shinobi.” The term for a black operative whose sole purpose is to die for the life of their guarded person. “Meeting is already set up, and you'll have a car pick you up and take you there – one of ours, aniki, so it's safe.”

“As far as the biggest threat, I don't know, aniki. But....Well, there is one other group.” Akari takes a deep breath, and lets it out in a rush. “There's an on-line fan-club for Kumatori Kiki that says that they will pay for naughty pictures of Kiki-san.”

Yui snorts. “There's always groups like that,” she claims as she eating her fifth bowl of ramen. Yes, while she is eating it. You have no idea how that works.

“They're offering one million yen.” states your best friend, making you and Yui sputter and choke.

“ONE MILLION YEN?”
>>
>>32692430
Of course not.

They're all hot and adorable at the same time
>>
>>32692542
She nods sagely.

“Holy shit, they'll come out of the woodwork for that!” Akari shakes her head. “What do you mean.”

“Someone on the internet claiming to be Anonimous says they'll get the pictures.”

“An...anonimous?” She nods. “You're kidding right?” You look at Yui who looks at you, dumbfounded. “She's joking right?” Yui shugs.

Akari explains, “They're claimed to be such great hackers and spies that no one can withstand them, so no one else is trying. They can hack into your van and blow it up you know.”

[X] Right, fuck their shit ALL up!

This changes nothing – you're going to be the only one to ruin Kumatori Kiki, and not even the All Powerful Immortals from Some Weird Country can stop you! You'll protect her virtue, until you take her virtue, and then you'll win!

Or something.

But you need a plan. Not the plan that is to stay by her side, make her fertile, and let her idiot, weaksauce husbando get her pregnant. And you have to manage it without the Hojo Group or the Ryo Clan fucking things up for you. And you may just have just the idea....but that's nothing you need to let anyone else know yet. You're clever, you're dangerous, and no one fucking expects the Ryuu Ryukusa!

“Aniki, you're scaring Yui-san with your laughing like that.”

“Oh, sorry.”

Despite all the trouble, you and your best friend and the oni you rescued enjoy the rest of your meal without further incident. You commiserate with poor Yui; Akari got you with the bitter tea challenge too. You go over the notes yourself, and see nothing that was covered more effectively and basically by your right hand dragonette, who despite her elemental nature isn't exactly slow. After, you are setting up for bed and Yui is bathing, when Akari peeks into your room. “Aniki, do you want me to set up the guest room for Yui-san?”

[] Yes please.
[] What do you think?
[] No she can sleep in here.
[] Did you want her in your room?

“What? Oh, no, you're both sleeping in here with me of course!”

“A...aniki....so bold!”

“Sleepover party!”

“....Oh....Oh! Oh! Hai, aniki!”

“What did you think I was going to say?”

“I don't know aniki, that's why I asked.”

Sadly, it's probably true.

“We can talk about things later. And stop calling me aniki!”

Yui comes out of the bath and is singing as she walks down the hall in her towel....and you see she has a cute little stub of a tail, no more than five or six inches long, lifting up the back of her towel, exposing her derrière. Yui glances at what you're looking at and giggles, covering her mouth. Akari smiles and slips off to prepare the bedroom.

Despite any lewd thoughts and suggestions, you don't act on any of them – it really is a big sleepover party. Yui, shy at first with you and Akari in the same room, soon is laughing and giggling and telling stories about her older brothers and sisters, while you regale her with tales of your not-nearly-so-heroic-as-mostly-horribly-gone-wrong-deeds, and Akari serves ice cream and strawberry milk, and says those silly, soft, deadpan things that make her so adorable. It is more fun than she's had in a long time, which is tragically obvious, and Akari has warmed up to her nicely too. The pillow fight is short lived – you may be fast, and deadly, but an oni and a stone dragon beat you into submission with pillows – they're both WAY stronger than you! But tickle-fights are your specialty, and they are both doomed, especially after you start using your tail!

Sleep is the most important thing – the next morning you have your official meeting with Kumatori Hojo or Hojo Technical Group, the preeminent zaibatsu in the creation of stuff you never bother learning about. They're obviously in close cahoots with Clan Ryo, making them more likely to be criminals than simply a business, but then, that's what the world is like.

You sigh, staring at the ceiling as your best friend and your subordinate sleep on either side of you.

Kumatori Kiki. Beautiful, rich, graceful, admired, and powerful. Soon to be married, and your responsibility for....wait, it didn't say when the wedding was in the notes either. Hopping out of bed, you go to the living room and spread out the pictures, papers, documents, and everything else, studying them. Not just with your eyes or your mind, but with your Power, that strange, nameless ability that makes you more clever than simple intellect and more dangerous than any training.

The pattern is easy to discern as you study the pictures and the paragraphs without the filters of your more human mind. The glances at the camera, the way she looks down whenever her father's assistants are in the room, the way she avoid the touch of anyone around, the hand over her left elbow, the shying away of anyone on a mask for pollen or pollution or the flu.

Looking with your Water Eyes, you can see this is someone who has suffered a great deal of abuse at the hands of someone.

“Ryukusa-aniki?”

You look up at the doorway, and Akari is standing there, in a simple black tee-shirt, her mask turned away from her face as usual.

“May I ask what your relationship with Yui-san is?”

[] You may certainly ask that question!
[] Actually, there's something more important.
[] Well...she's cute, and sweet, but not like you, Akari.
[] She's been hurt a lot, Akari-chan. .

Most worthless part of the site. Any sort of IP dickery allows mass up- or down-votes. Quests get hit particularly hard because people have opinions.
>>
>>32693606
Which implies women doing the deed is even less likely.
>>
>>32693608
Eh, I don't see many people using IP spam to super boost a rating. And if the quest is shit, that's pretty easy to figure out reading it.

Either way, so long as you know the ratings aren't always accurate, they can still be a decent hint at whether or not a quest is enjoyable.
>>
>>32693640
Some of the Princess Guard Quest threads have HUNDREDS of votes.
>>
>>32693660

[X] You may certainly ask that question!
[XX] Actually, there's something more important.
[] Well...she's cute, and sweet, but not like you, Akari.
[XXX] She's been hurt a lot, Akari-chan. .
[X] Well....I really like her. And I really like you. But I can't think about anything like that just now.

[X] Reveal your identity as Ryukusa Ryuu, Protector of Smiles and Champion of Cute Spirit-Girls.

“You can certainly as me that question, niji.

She blushes quite vividly, but looks you in the eyes and asks softly, despite her embarrassment – evidenced by her tail lashing back and forth slowly – What is your relationship with Yui-san, aniki?”

You sigh softly and look at your best friend.

Well, this is a little awkward. Especially with your Water Eyes open. Akari is your best friend. She was once Oba-chan's loyal servant, her niece meant to keep you under control, to prevent you from doing anything rash, untoward, or from becoming a real problem. Her spy. And she did spy for Oba-chan. Yet, somewhere along the way, she started to see something else. The real you, not the you that Oba-chan says you were or might be. And the longer she was with you, the more she became your friend, rather than Oba-chan's servant. And more than friend. She believes in you, sees something no one else sees. She sees you as a bona fide hero.

You blink, the Water Eyes closing and you look at your best friend, the person whom has been closest to you all your life. She is serious, and concerned. In her own, quiet way she has loved you as a sister, and maybe more than that. The one person you have relied on your entire life, who has betrayed her family, her clan, and the most dangerous person in the entire clan to come with you and be your right hand dragonette.

“Yui-san has been hurt, Akari. She was treated very badly by her family. They are all oni, and only a Great Dragon pitied her. So I stole her away, to be with me.” Akari looks down at the floor. “And I care about her. And I care about you too. I care about you both. But I cannot be who I want to be yet. I have duties. I have to be aniki for a while longer. So....I need my best friend to be her friend. Because I think you know what it is like to be hurt by your family, to be treated as outside the family.” Akari looks up startled. “She is someone I care about, because she is like someone I care about. And I want to protect her, like I want to protect the someone I care about.”

Akari looks into your eyes and you look into hers, and say the word you dread the most.

“I know about Oba-chan, and why you are with me.”

Akari walks over and sits at the table next to you, kneeling on the mat next to yours, her carnelian eyes downcast. “Oba-chan thinks you are very dangerous. She thinks you will destroy us all. She thinks you'll ruin any dragon-child you come near.” Your best fried, maybe the only friend you have ever really had, lowers her head. “I am sorry I betrayed you, aniki. I'll go home now.”

Really, its just Oba-chan's interpretation of 'destroy', 'dangerous', and 'ruin' that are off. Those words are pretty accurate.

Replace destroy by "cuddle", dangerous by "cute" and "ruin" "make our own", and yeah, pretty accurate!

Still failing to see where the problem is. She's just a jealous old fart! Alternatively, she's setting us up to succeed because making her clan dominant whas the plan all along. Sneaky old bitch!

You can leave ruin as it is, frankly.

"Apparently in a previous life I was an evil dragon that killed a lot of people and ravaged the countryside. I just want to get everything pregnant"

[X] Yes, she is your niji-chan.

Her eyes are closed, and though she cannot cry – tears are beyond her, maybe because she is a Stone dragonette, maybe because she doesn't want to cry in front of her boss, maybe just because she's so stoic – she looks like she would be crying, even shaking a little, her mouth in a soft grimace.

So she isn't watching when you stand up silently, move over to her and take her into your arms. “You can't leave me, Akari. I need my best friend, the person I care about, to protect my places and take care of me and my people. I wouldn't be a good aniki without my niji to take care of me.” She freezes in your arms, rock solid and immovable....and then she is soft, warm, and crying soundlessly, without tears. You hold your Akari close, and stroke her hair, let her cry as her tail wraps around yours. “I will protect you, and Yui, and Kiki. I will protect you all.”
“H...hai, Ryukusa-dono.”

Her princess.

“Shouldn't that be Ryukusa-oh?”

She shakes her head. “No aniki. You are my Most Precious Thing, like the gaijin say. So you must be a princess.”

Huh. “Well, if it's Akari-chan, it can't be helped.” She smiles and rubs her tearless eyes and smiles.

“Hai, aniki.”

You look at her seriously then lift her chin and kiss her softly on the lips. Her eyes go wide with shock, and then she relaxes, utterly at your mercy. You let the kiss linger for just a moment, then lean back, the beatific expression on her face both adorable, and precious, and yet so very fragile.

“Go back to bed, Akari.”

You watch her return to your room, and close the door quietly. You stare after her for a moment, then lay down, your head boiling at the thought of people treating these lovely, gentle, sweet girls – dangerous, yes, but they're girls – so cruelly. It's part of the life, part of your nature as half-breeds to be treated so, perhaps....but no one dared treat you like that. In fact, it was somewhat weird, how they isolated you from the other dragonettes, so that most of your life was spent around oni-children, adults of varying sorts, and, well, Akari. You really haven't had any other friends, and even Celestial High School, where many half-breeds go, you were somewhat isolated.

Too tomboyish, to hyperactive, and somewhat feared, it seems.

But tomorrow you have to decide on a real problem.

DAYCHANGE.

You're up and bathed, Akari has made a massive breakfast, and Yui is sitting and praying at an altar to Kuraokami, the Dragon God of Rain, who was the one person in her family who took pity on her. Your best friend has been quiet this morning, other than greeting you and Yui as though nothing happened at all last night. Akari's omnipresent oni mask is set askew on her head, and she has set out on extra plate – red bean jelly.

….you didn't think that counted as sex.

You blink a few times and look at the red bean paste jelly, the traditional celebratory dish after marriage. Yui sees it and blinks and her green eyes widen as she looks at you, and you give her a wink. Her confusion is evident, but when you look at Akari and ask, “So, did Akari-chan get lucky while I was seeing Jinyuu-onee-sama yesterday?” she stifles her laughter.

Akari doesn't even shake her head. “No, aniki.”

You resist the urge to deliver a face-palm, realizing you should know better than to try something like that on the straightest-straight-man – er, girl – that ever straighted for a comedian. Except she's kind of gay, but that's not important now! Yui is laughing into her hands even harder, now though. “Well, that's all right I suppose.” You sweep your hand at it, and slice it into three perfect pieces with the mere flick of your sapphire fingernails. “Too bad, we're all sharing. We all have things to celebrate.”

“Hai, aniki.” “Hai, Ryukusa-sama!”

You eat your meal and thank Akari-niji-chan for the meal and for the breakfast, and then turn and walk to the walk in closet in your room, and study the clothing you have. The room is eight sided, and the shoes, boots, tabi, footwear, yukata, kimonos, suits, blouses, skirts, pants, and all that you've collected are here. You're meeting Kumatori Hojo, Taisho Ryoga his assistant and second, and Kumatori Kiki today, personally. So, now you need to decide....

[XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX] Total Classy! Pantsuit and Your Wakizashi!

There's only one thing for this.

And you whip it into shape like no outfit has ever been whipped before. Perfectly ironed black slacks. A slender, ideal width black leather belt with a perfect silver buckle with a dragon motif, completely with sapphire eyes. A pristine black jacket over a perfectly designed blue satin dress shirt. The classiest black Mary-Janes ever, with slick black stockings. And sharp black gloves of the softest shiniest leather, perfect for shooting guns, driving, holding wakizashi, punching, and spanking naughty imoutos. You slip your wakizashi into the discretely designed hooks for it, and look in a mirror.

It needs something more.

You take two slender silver pins, and hold them out wide, and close your eyes. You tilt your head back and then yank it forward, your straight, upper-thigh length hair flying up. You pin and tie and knot it before it even begins to settle, and lift your head to look at the perfectly designed knot-work held together with shining silver pins.

Perfect.

Time to make waves.

The drive over is quiet, and safe, the human driver not knowing anything about the Real World. You finish a half a sudoku book, post on eight internet message boards, find out that it's One Million Yen being offered by the denizens of various web-sites, which means it's a small amount, yes, but offered by a collection of NEETS, HKN weirdos, and Ultra-Obsessed fans. Anonimous is going to be a problem, because likely they'll be nobodies desperate for the money, and more trouble is caused by no-name-nobodies than any organized crime syndicate ever. You also do eight crossword puzzles, finish a mahjong game with the Penguin Angel, and type up a short story.

“Hey,. Are you taking the long way or something?”

“No, ma'am.”

“Are you sure?”

“It's been twelve minutes, ma'am.”

“....gomen.”

When you arrive at the Hojo Technical Group Main Office, you step out of the car and look up at the imposing building. It's a beautiful, glassy, stainless steel, arcane monolith of business, power, money, and danger. You walk into the main lobby, garnering more than a few stares, even though you know no human can see your horns and dragon eyes and sapphire nails – they just see a tall, elegant Japanese teen with her fingernails painted blue dressed in the most stylish manner than anyone in this building will ever see.

Three men in black suits step up, and look down at you, though the two in back share a glance. “Ryuu Ryukusa?”

“Hai.” You bow slightly, but don't take your eyes off the security guards – they have ear pieces and their suits are way to perfect.

“Please come with us.”

You don't know the custom here, and it's too easy to cross a line you don't know is there.

Being polite is the essence of good business, and your big sister isn't a seer to be trifled with, so....

“Of course.”

You follow the trio of men to an elevator, and unsurprisingly two step inside before you, and the other follows you in after bowing to you. They're all humans, and they are professionals, but they can't possibly cope with you even using a third of your power. Still, guns, tasers, and stun-guns can make a difference. But they don't try anything out of the ordinary. One has to use a key to take you to the fourth floor from the top – floor 44, totally inauspicious, the number of death (but also related to water and dangerous, which is you ~all over~.

As the elevator opens, you are lead into a simple, plain white hallway with many doors on either side, and a pair of steel doors at the end. It is towards these you are lead, and you can feel the cameras in their little black domes watching, and hear the electricity in the computers behind every door. Security floor, number 44. How interesting.

The doors open, and you are lead into a room with a dozen men in suits similar to those behind you, most wearing sunglasses, and all armed with batons, asps, katanas, and other weapons. No guns though.

The one who was leading you turns and looks at you. “Your services will no longer be required by the Hojo Technical Group. Their personal security is among the best in the world. Your Clan will be paid appropriately of course, for your time and the effort you've gone through on Kumatori-ojou's behalf.” He bows politely, though stiffly, and looks at you though his glasses.

“Many apologies, but I am afraid I can only be dismissed by Kumatori-sama himself, not anyone under him. I also was given this duty by my Master, so I cannot accept any responsibility for your actions if you try to prevent me.”

“Please understand, we only want what is best for our mistress, and accept my apologies.”

You bow politely and look him right in the eye. “I hope you're filming this.”

“Pardon?”

“You'll want to watch it in slow motion later.”

There are fifteen men in the room, most armed, all professionals, all well trained.

You curl your pointer finger against your thumb, and slowly lift your delicate, nonthreatening hand. His eyebrows shoot up, and you extend your hand to just before his nice, classy black suit, perfectly tailored. You look him in the eyes and flick your finger at him.

He blinks and then the shockwave hits him, blasting him, the two people to his left and right and five feet back, and everyone directly behind him into the far wall with enough force to crack the plaster. Numbers two and three behind you grab your arms, as two other guys rush you. Grabbing their jackets, you throw them at baton-guy and asp guy, and all four crash into the ground a few yards away. The fellow to your left and right leap, one trying to use tae-kwon-do, the other coming in what karate. Ducking under tae-kwon-dummie, you kick him into his karate-friend, and they crash into a wall.

The last four are slightly different. The one with the katana looks like he actually might know what he's doing, while the spear wielder to his left definitely knows kung-fu. The last two are hanging back, and you can tell with your power they are definitely not what they seem.

You don't even bother pulling your wakizashi, and run low and fast, sweeping into the spear user in the first movement beyond throwing and kicking people. You grab the spear even as you pass by it, and stab the point into the the floor – through it as a matter of fact, and he is still trying to figure out what happened when you come up beneath him, your fist striking him in the jaw and popping him up into the ceiling with a thunderous crash.

Even before his friend falls the man with the katana is slicing at you, the blade passing before your face (and you are soooooo fuckin' glad you tied your hair up!) as you stand up. He slashes at you repeatedly and you narrow your eyes and then turn to face him and hold up one hand. The blade falls....and you catch it between your pointer and middle finger, holding it in place. Just above your head. HE tries to slide it down, through your hand....and grunts. And pulls. And hauls.

“Hey....this is a cheap knockoff, you moron!” You snap the blade in half by turning your fingers. “See? Look at this shitty steel!”

He stares at you, and then screams and runs away.

Well.

You turn to the last too....and you can see these two have had Special Training. Demon-Quellers, spiritual warriors. One has highly developed chi, and the other has a magic weapon, a nine-ring-sword.

[] Surrender at once! No, them, not you.
[] Draw your wakizashi. That's and Water Eyes is more than enough!
[] A little magic goes a long way!
[] “Please forgive this small dragon for her impertinence, but you must allow me to do my job.”
[] Really, they think those two are going to stop you? They may have training, but they're only human!

Thank you XS for this Quest. I'm lovin' it
>>
You look at the two specially trained humans, and know they can see you for what you are – glassy blue horns along your skull, your metallic blue, slit pupiled eyes, your sapphire nails, and hair of such a dark blue it may as well be black. You reach behind you and unsheathe your wakizashi. You hold it blade-back, along your arm and raise it to just below eye level, your eyes glowing softly with your power.

“Please forgive this small dragon for her impertinence, but you must allow me to do my job.”

Your horns are tingling, and you slowly circle them as they circle you....the one with chi draws his fingers up and to his chest and hurls....

Fire.

REALLY? FUCKIN' FIRE?

You close your eyes and let the flames wash over you, and open them again, giving him an annoyed look. He looks at his friend. “Uh, sorry, I'm out, dude.”

The man with the sword growls and charges you. You swat the blade away with your wakizashi and he does a near somersault, but lands on his feet and slices at your midriff. You dance back, and block the next blow, and the next blow. He crowds you towards the corner, his weapon sparking and snapping as you block, the blade hungering for your supernatural blood.

He lunges, and you move back into the corner, and he swings his blade down at your head and you block with your wakizashi in both hands....he growls and presses down, and you can feel the magic in the blade starting to increase his power, his strength....He might be able to hit you next time!

So you kick him in the nuts.

He makes a small 'eep' noise and falls over.

“I told you it wouldn't work, oto-san.”

“Ha ha ha! So you did! I should have listened to you, my daughter!”

You turns and at the doorway are Kumatori Hojo, fat, in a white suit with gold cuff-links, gold rings, and snazzy gradient sunglasses, and a pungent cigar in hand. Standing next to him is a tall, thin fellow, his skin black as night and his eyes glowing coals, half-demon, in a perfect business suit of red, with gold trim. You know other humans see him as human, and most likely so doe Kumatori-sama even though he was a dragon's lover, but under your Water Eyes you can see the true form of Taisho Ryoga. He smiles and inclines his head, and lays a finger across his lips.

And finally....the bride-to-be. She is dressed in a beautiful pink sakura-themed kimono, her hair pale, shading to pink and then fuschia at the very top, and her branch-like horns wide and polished. Her soft, gentle blue eyes meet yours and she bows to you, her breasts nearly overwhelming her poor obi-belt and the kimono and the under-layer of her kimono. She rises, and says to you, “Please take care of me, Ryuu Ryukusa.”

And if you didn't know any better, she sounds like she's being sincere.

Now that the quest is done for the moment, I felt I should note why I considered Yui to be question-worthy:

>My name is Kurao Yui, servant of Kuraokami the Rain God!
>Indentured servitude is part of their social structure.
>You didn't think oni could use ~Nowhere~
>Yui? Well, you'll see.

From the last threads, and

>something you didn't know an oni-chick could be, actually
>that's utterly unheard of in your experience

From this thread, implying we didn't know her that well. As in, she could have hidden past ties, and her other non-oni parent didn't seem to be discussed much. She had strange unrevealed things~

So try to be a little less rude to people: that's perhaps one reason these quests used to be driven off to /a/, rude players.

P.S. If you're familiar with Japanese Mythology, you'd realize that the storm-associated elements like Susanoo are noted to be tricksters, and vassals are perhaps not so easily transferred.

I just found it curious that she had particularly unique characteristics, yet was so easily transferred to our service.
Mythologically speaking, you couldn't just beat a vassal in battle and take her service. It's not hers to give. You'd have to broker it with her lord.
So technically, if it's a traditionalist story, Kuraokami has a legal duty to beat our ass for insolence, no matter how insignificant the servant was.

Unless it was a deliberate infiltrator, which would have also explained the unique skills and quickness to serve.

For dragons, it is their opposing elements. They are weaker to theirs than other creatures are - but they are also stronger in their own element than others tend to be. All oni are tough and strong, and while they may have elemental abilties based on their element, it is more a temperament and minor magic relationship in comparison to a dragon (rage and growth of fire oni, lightning and trickery and summoning for void oni, able to drink entire lakes for water oni, etc.).

>>
>>32696133
>Mythologically speaking, you couldn't just beat a vassal in battle and take her service. It's not hers to give. You'd have to broker it with her lord.
That's part of why Yui is so pitiable: she was so utterly insignificant to her lord and clan that our stealing of her was probably relieving to them. Even still, we made arrangements for officially taking her and we're wary or retribution. Had you actually read the threads you would already know all this.

Again, I *did* read the threads, as I told you she seemed to have the possibility of being a trickster-associate, like in actual mythology.

I'll also reiterate that these quests in the past were banned from /tg/, and forced to /a/, perhaps partly because of combative and insulting players.

Try to be kind to any new arrivals.
>And if you're mad about be liking femdom due to your own misogyny, that would be rather unfortunate for you~

Fortunately, you have a QM who knows what a real femdom is and is heartily amused by your nonsensivcal and largely unimportant antic on that front - both sides.

And please, read the title of this quest and remember that the Water Dragonette is both clever and dangerous - shadowruns will not escape her detection for long!

I think we can all agree that no one here dislike the idea of Ryukuza as a dominant girl. And since we got three thread worse of interesting female characters without anyone getting insulting over it, any accusation of misogyny is misplaced.

Come on, guys, we're here to have fun, not for petty agressivity.

How about we stop worrying and learn to love the booms?

Branched Horns are a status symbol - real dragons have branched horns always. Half dragons usually have horns which are bent or straight.

A high pitched voice wafts from the next room as you give Kumatori-san your most vicious grin. "Nee-chan, have you seen my tamagushi? I thought I left it on the altar." Kumatori-san looks towards the door, as do you, and a four-foot nothing made out of clouds and red ribbons walks....no, ~prances~ out of the living room. She's wearing white tabi, but is only walking on her toes; she doesn't really seem to be bending her knees, making the walk into a sort of skipping motion Dressed in a massive collection of white robes with red trim, you can see her head and almost nothing else. Her sleeves so large they obscure her hands entirely, leaving only tiny fingertips visible.

Her heart shaped face is taken up by a huge pair of pure golden eyes with slit pupils, and a shock of red hair so bright it looks more like paint than hair. Four tiny braids extend to the back and a pair of thick, once-branched horns of copper extend from her hair. Her leggings and sleeves even have red pom-poms on them - a miko's ceremonial dress. She freezes, and slowly turns towards you, her golden eyes stern and wide, as if sensing the natural enemy of all dignity and decorum, despite your outfit and silence.

Some tarts came in claiming that I was "forcing" my "fetish" on them by talking about it on a public forum.
>In a monstergirl thread no fucking less.

So I was like "you wouldn't give two shits if I were a girl talking about serving a man", and then they left.

I mean, it takes a special kind of silly to go into a quest where the QM says "I love succubi" and a player is like "delicious femdom! your Agi stat goes way up from playing with cat toys and mistress, too" only to tell them to 'shut up'.

Really silly.

Who wears face masks like that consistently?
The first thing that comes to mind is vampires, but that doesn't really fit the more japanese mythology feel I think

Do you actually have autism? Not understanding when people are tired of hearing about a particular subject which you like is one of the classic signs.

NINJAS

Oh fine! But there is the posssssibility of dragon butt worship here you know~

>>32697002

No, again, they came into the thread to tell us to shut up. It's a public place. So I fully continued in the discussion while teasing them a bit.

>about not wanting to give up personal freedoms
Odds are they've never said word one about the culture and institute of Western marriage and corporate discrimination doing exactly the right now to women.
>And you could tell by his homophobic and disability-related insults that he wasn't a very nice person~

Pastebin is updated, and I am off to bed. Thursday, 8:30 am to 9:30 am, approximately.

And I really must find more pictures.
>>
>>32697050
It's talking about surgical masks. The people of Japan usually wear them if they're sick so that they don't infect others.
>>
>>32697070
Again, that one guy got pissed, yes. But he wasn't the only one who asked you to stop.
>>
>>32697050
Medical face masks? Doctors is the first thing that comes to mind.

Holding her arm at the crux of the elbow, where you take blood from too.

Experiments?
>>
>>32697070
What the fuck is this 'us' bullshit, not a single person was on your side in the matter.
>>
>>32697070
I just feel the need to say this.
The tildes make you seem like the absolute worst type of condescending faggot. Not faggot as in a homosexual. I mean faggot as a fucking faggot asshole who should eat shit.
So, not only are you some sort of tumblr-spawned turbofag, you also have really shitty tastes in fetishes, try to force them way too much, and don't know when to quit.

As someone who has personally been on both sides of the paddle, as far as I'm concerned, you're just being a jerk and talking out of your hat to get people riled up for no reason.
>>
>>32697070
The quest was great fun until you had to come along and bring your faggotry with you.
Kindly stay the fuck out of the next thread.

Akari loves her mask
>>
>>32697171
Well, it's a pure jade oni mask, which is rather odd for a dragon-girl, but then, Jinyuu-onee-sama gave it to her.

She said it helped her too.
>>
>>32697033
Agreed. XSCALE seems smart enough to do likewise
>>
>>32697050
I'm pretty sure there are vampires (by any other name) in Japanese lore.
Except apparently they don't suck blood, they suck life-force. With sex, no less.

Thing is, in this setting, life-force is limited. One of these "vampires", in the (unlikely?) event that we find one, is perfectly likely to literally kill us by snu snu.
>>
>People replying to this guy
Consider: there are many more of you than him, so you're doing most of the shit-flinging and off-topic garbage posts here in terms of volume. Did no-one ever teach you to ignore things?
>>
>>32697070
Look, dude, I'm really sorry, what you say is not especially annoying per se, but the way you type get on my nerve, and apparently I'm not the only one.

Really, I'm sorry, but it only looks like you're deliberatly trying to make everyone think you're a pedantic, pompous jerk.

>Who wears face masks like that consistently?
Mortal Kombat style ninjas?

I think we're on to something here!

Dad or associates might be studying what makes Spiritkin tick.

There's a japanese monster that is a gorgeous lady wearing on of those medical mask. She shows up at night, talk to the isolated wanderer and ask him if she's beautiful. If the wanderer answer "yes", she'll remove her mask, showing her cheeks are cut open in a grotesque smile, and she ask once again if she's beautiful. And whatever the guy answer, she get rip open his belly.
>>
>>32697443
What if you answer "no"?
>>
>>32697310
>Chinese Triad is out to get her
>Sub-Zero is a Chinese Ninja Warrior
Shit guys. NO ONE can beat Sub-Zero
>>
>>32697629
You get killed.

I found it, it's the Kuchisake-onna :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuchisake-Onna
>>
>>32697703
And how the hell are you suppossed to survive encounters with that? Running away? Beating her up?
>>

FASHION ADVICE.
>>
>>32697745
You don't
>>
>>32697745
No, wait, should've read the article before asking.
You can't run or she'll Slender style appear in front of you. Unless you toss candy or fruit beforehand, which will distract her.
Also replying an ambiguous answer to her question ("not really")
Also telling you have other things to do.
>>
>>32697745
It's metaphorical of how you can never win when a woman asks you how she looks.

>>32697821
Ruykusa also has the Cleverness power.

We can certainly figure something out.
>>
>>32697822
Except it was based on a real person.
>>
>>32697866
I was making a bad joke. My knowledge of Japanese mythology is pathetically low.
>>
>>32697838
>Kuchisake-onna: am I pretty?
>Ryukuza: certainly not as much as I or my harem is
>>
>>32697821

Could you respond by asking her if she thinks she looks pretty? thereby turning her into her own victim... they just excuse yourself for being late for a prior engagement....
>>
>>32697961
I don't know, but you can ask her if she thinks YOU are pretty. That confuses her.
>>
>>32697276

I guess I can put it this way:
/tg/ considers it fine to talk openly about giving girls the D:
But takes huge offense to talking about having the reverse from women and adoring them for it.

So then people follow you around just to complain about your posts because they don't like that you'd dare say something in a way not the norm.
>>
>>32698084
Dude, once again, girls giving boys the D is all good. some of us like femdom, and many others are polite enough to not insult us over it.

But seriously, you write like you wanted people to get angry. What you say is fine, it's how you says it. i'm giving you the benefice of the doubt here, so I assume you're not doing it on purpose.

How you type get on people's nerve. You could advocate "save the baby seal", people would still get annoyed by the way you type. I'm really sorry.

This will be my last message on the subject. and, I hope, THE last message
>>
>>32698084
>the D:
Impossible. The OS is installed in that drive.
>>
>>32698228
I'm not sure I can convey it more clearly. People don't like the "way" I talk about it because they don't want me speaking openly in a way that promotes it.

If I said, "girl you should find a husband", that's fine with most people.

So I just talk as if it was a valid way of life.
