You are Zhu Xing, from the city of Xu Chang. Seeking out your destiny, you joined the infamous Dong Zhuo who took over the Han court and declared himself Prime Minister. You betrayed Dong Zhuo along with Lu Bu and took Chang An city. The armies of Xiliang however took on an offensive and defeated your armies and retook Chang An. You and Lu Bu retreat eastward with the remnants of your force.

>the difficulty of the game will be "medium." Death won't be lurking in every corner, but too many mistakes, stat check failures, and the like will mean the end of the character
>if the character dies, you can then play an heir to the character following him, or a completely new one if you wish. The goal is to get to a unified China regardless whether you "win" or "lose"
>try not to meta the game as much as possible when following through some of the famous events
>this will heavily rely on the novel and history, and little bit on Dynasty Warriors. So no, don't expect to rambo in 1000 soldiers by yourself

>there will be times when you WILL lose battles and have overwhelming odds. Liu Bei lost countless battles, countless territories, and abandoned his families multiple times before he established himself in Yi. Cao Cao also lost numerous humiliating defeats throughout his life, many times at smaller enemies despite overwhelming advantages. Don't expect to win every battle nor expect conquering ancient China to be easy
>enemy plots and stratagems will not be thrown in your face. That's why they are strategies in the first place. Subtle hints will be given unless you pass stat checks and previously managed to find out intrigue, in which case they will be more "in your face"
>>
You and the remnants of Lu Bu's army march for hours eastward at a fast pace. Most of the soldiers are tired and exhausted, some even are left behind in the road while others abandon the army. Because of the pace at which the army has to move and the lack of time to chase after deserting soldiers, you have no choice to press on.

Lu Bu is sullen, and staying close to a crying Diao Chan. You can see near the front of the army Lu Lingqi who is also tired and her armor tattered with some red. By the looks of it, she is not injured and the blood is from enemy soldiers. You can tell she is tired, but she presses on without a word of complaint.

You soon reach a pass. After going through, you can rest at the next town without worry of enemy pursuit. As Lu Bu's army makes through the pass...

“Halt!”

Archers stationed notch their bows and take aims. Troops come out to meet your entourage. Lu Bu grits his teeth and grips his halberd while motioning for Diao Chan to move to the back. Lingqi readies her own spear as well. It seems another hard fight is on hand.

“Stop! Stop! Lower your weapons!”

Before another battle breaks out, one man comes out of the pass. The soldiers obey him and they lower their weapons.

“General Lu Bu! We are no enemies of your group! Please forgive my men,” he says bowing as he comes in front of the army.

“I have heard that Chang An has fallen and the other armies scattered. There is much to discuss, I beg of you to come with me and allow your men to rest here.”

Lu Bu is obviously distrustful. He looks around with a worried look. What do you say?

>Advise Lu Bu to heed the man
>Demand the leader of the enemy to name himself and for the other soldiers to retreat all the way back to the other side of the pass
>Tell Lu Bu not to be trustful and to attack now while the other soldiers have lowered their guard

We really need to focus on cranking up our Leadership and Intelligence.

Since our War is already at 84, it'll be harder to raise and we'll get a lot more value from the other 2 stats.
>>
>>32811755

Not Int or lead.

We need pol and cha to get things done.
>>
>>32811784
No-one gets anywhere with just one stat.

Plenty of clever people died when someone stronger than them crushed their brains in. Three Kingdoms China demands universal competence, and even then... Man ascribes, heaven provides.
>>
>>32811784

Leadership allows us to maintain our army's fighting strength and keep is going against tough odds.

Intelligence gives us additional hints and makes it easier to strategize and pull off strategies. Those are the two most valuable traits, other than WAR, to a fighting general.

Charisma is still valuable, but Pol is probably the least valuable out of the bunch.
>>
>>32811844
Since we are a fighting general, I agree. I do think we need to hire a proper adviser for no warfare related affairs though. Possibly train up our brother, if we can.
>>
Lets just trust them.
>>
>>32811755
Really, we just need intelligence. The lack of information we were working under last thread would apparently have been alleviated if we had higher intelligence.

Also, use Lu Bu as a sounding board for ideas. If he likes a plan, DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE.
>>
>>32811870

Wasn't here for the last thread.

Was really surprised you lot actually voted to charge an entrenched enemy, uphill, outnumbered 2 to 1.

That lu bu is not smart should have been obvious from awhile ago.
>>
>>32811865
>>32811870

We need to hire more people in general, I think.

We'll be raising our intelligence, but we aren't going to beat Jia Xu and his 97 ROTK 11 intelligence in a battle of wits.

I like the idea of training our brother as an adviser though.
>>
>>32811870
On the other hand, it doesn't matter how good your plans are if you don't have the power to put them into action.

One man can't hold a fortress.

Unless his opponent is Sima Yi
>>
>>32811894
It goes beyond not smart. Lu Bu is so bad at commanding an army he shouldn't be given responsibility over anything other than himself. His advice led to a complete rout.
>>
>>32811894

You forgot that our army was also exhausted.

But you live and learn, and we probably learned our lessons.

>>32811914

Our WAR is 84 with crappy equipment. We will probably pick up WAR through dueling enemy officers, we just need to hit the books in our free time.
>>
>>32811933
And yet.

You guys voted to follow his advice.
>>
Alright, so I went to sleep last thread filling confident as the majority for the vote at the time was for staying back in the capital. I wake up the next day to find everything ruined, so tonight I swear I will stay awake the entire thread and fight for my all to prevent us from doing more stupid crap.
>>
>>32811948
Yes, because we didn't realize he had the tactical acumen of a particularly nasty pile of shit. It was demonstrated quite clearly for us, however. Any advice given by him will be completely ignored from now on.
>>
>>32811894
Eh, I still stand by my decision to attack to a certain extent
>>
>>32811941
A failure from time to time builds character. Look at Liu Bei! The man couldn't help but fail in everything from generalship to child-rearing and he... uh, died after getting everyone he loved killed except Zhuge Liang and left his kingdom in the hands of a conniving pack of eunuchs and a guy whose name became synonymous with 'retardation'. (although personally I think Liu Shan is a little smarter and more reasonable than people give him credit for - boy knew when to fold 'em)

So, bad example.
>>
>>32811948

Not all of us voted for it, some of us actually pointed out that it was a stupid idea.

However, there's no use dwelling on it.
>>
>>32811894
Lu Bu believed that their morale was hurt badly enough that a decisive charge with our forces would cause them to break and flee. Anons believed he knew what what he was talking about, since he's the greatest warrior in china.

We know better now.
>>
>>32811987

Cao Cao might have been a better example.
>>
>>32812015
He's a fabulous warrior.

He is not a very good general. You have to remember that Fengxian is a bold, impetuous young man who assumes that, because he's really good at killing guys, everyone fears him and respects him. His biggest weakness is his pride, which mostly manifests in his dismissal of and underestimation of his enemies.
>>
>Demand the leader of the enemy to name himself and for the other soldiers to retreat all the way back to the other side of the pass
"Tell your men to retreat to the other side of the pass, Sir!" you shout, moving your horse forward. "Name yourself! We will not parley until then!"

The leader of the pass smiles.

“You must be General Zhu Xing. Your cautiousness is well-advised, but if I had wanted your heads, I would have laid an ambush here and kept this pass shut tight. No doubt your tired troops would not be able to break through. However, I understand your demand and I shall follow them.”

The man motions for the troops to do as the demand was given. You order a soldier to follow through and see that all the soldiers have moved to the other side of the pass as instructed, and that no traps are laid. When he returns and confirms all is in good order, you look back at the leader of the group.

“I am Chen Gong, styled Gongtai. Please, follow me in.”

Your soldiers enter the pass and take the time to rest. You and Lu Bu follow Chen Gong to a small room inside the pass and seat yourselves at a table. Chen Gong has wine and food brought over.

“Let me get to the point Sirs. You are in a perilous situation, and my advice is to head towards Xu Chang. Most of the lords in the Central Plains and north are mistrustful and would likely not tolerate your force. And I believe General Zhu Xing is from Xu Chang, so we will have an easier time recuperating there. The army should rest there for half a year, you should gather more men to your side, and then you may plan your next move there.”

Lu Bu rubs his chin.

“I cannot find much fault in the plan. And I do not think we have very much options here. What do you say, Zhu Xing?”

>Accept is the best course of action
>Object, and state your army should move to take refuse with another warlord instead
>>
>>32811933
>>32812015

At least we have influence over Lu Bu and can dissuade him from some of his stupider decisions.

He was pretty receptive to the feint attack last time and I'm sure we can continue to work him since we know how to flatter him.
>>
>>32811969
>Any advice given by him will be completely ignored from now on.
Let's not deal in absolutes. Defeat in that battle was just as much our fault as it was Lu Bu's, so to completely ignore every bit of advice of his seems like an ignorant way to act, especially toward someone our character looks to as a faithful friend
>>
>>32811969
You see, thats the thing.

Alot of the players appear to at least be passingly familiar with ROTK or DW. That Lu Bu is not a good general is something that most folks should know.

I just dont see the reason why we needed to try it out. In fact, at the end of that post, Zhu Xing even wondered if we should withdraw. I believe that was our Int speaking at that point.

>>32811990

Indeed though. I'm fine with this, despite how much fun a loyal and legitimate faction with the emperor's backing would have been. This'll be my last post on the issue.

>>Accept is the best course of action

Xu Chang is in Yu Province right? Who's the governor there right now?

Regardless, it doesn't look like we have much of a choice. If this dude is our friend, we can at least rebuild our troops and go from there.
>>
>>32812051
>Accept is the best course of action

Yeah, we can't do much with 2k troops
>>
>>32812051
>Xu Chang
He is right that we cannot trust the central plains lords, but going to Xu Chang is not necessarily the best move. However, I also don't see much of an alternative, so I think we should heed his advice.

Xu Chang is Cao Cao's base of operations and capital.

We need to pull back and regroup. Gather what forces we have left and turn our resting camp into a war preparations area. Supplies stockpiles, training areas, workshops and forges to build war gear and various available war machines and the like. When the time comes, we must have planed out and prepped for a nationwide campaign
>>
>>32812197

I'd follow Cao Cao.

If we can, I'd like to see what happens if china is unified while he is still alive.
>>
>>32812169
No we don't have to side with cao cao, if it follows history then we will likely start wrecking cao cao's shit when he goes to fight Yaun Shao.

>>
>>32812197

>>

Anon, we've heard news of what warlords in various parts of the country are doing.

Knowing where their base of operations should NOT be metagaming but common knowledge.
>>
>>32812226
>cheng gong is the messenger
>not being the cao cao path

I don't think you get how this qm does things.
>>
>>32812197
Wu hasn't formed yet, they are still with Yaun Shu and he isn't someone you want to trust unless you feel like letting Lu Bu's daughter marry someone else.
>>
>>32812169
>>32812197

Anons, we don't have to pledge our loyalty to the warlord who rules over Xu Chang (which might not be Cao Cao depending on the year)

We are going there to recuperate and rebuild our army. We can choose whether to go independent or follow a lord from there. We need troops to get better offers from the lords anyway.

Besides Xu Chang is our character's hometown and he will be able to recruit more easily there.
>>
>>32812218
I'm not sure it'd be possible to unify China in that era. Short of a victory at Chi Bi, which is basically impossible without metagaming or somehow preventing Guo Si's illness, I don't think Cao Wei had what it takes just in terms of resources.
>>
>>32812197
No reason we can't become friendly with Wu later. If we can establish ourselves as an independent warlord, we might not have to serve any of the yet to be formed three kingdoms.

Though I agree that Wu is preferable to Wei if it comes down to it.
>>
As a reminder, if you lose 30% of your fighting force in any one conflict, it is basically considered dead and you should retreat and regroup. Also, it takes about 6 times as much men to besiege a fortified position barring trickery or other environmental factors.
>>
>>32812250

Thing is, with us around, we're likely to avoid liu bei, or if we room with him, persuade lu bu to not take over his county.

We do this and hes likely to never take up arms to be a warlord.
>>
>>32812246
>Chen Gong is the messenger

Right. The guy who decided he'd rather be killed than serve Cao Cao. Chen Gong abandoned Cao Cao before the coalition was formed.
>>
>>32812245
That is fair, but does our character know enough about Cao Cao to make the decision of whether it might be a good idea to serve under him?
>>
>>32812265
Thought it was three times? "To take a city of 20,000, we'll need a force of at least 60,000 elite soldiers" and all that.
>>
>>32812252
Sun Jian hasn't die yet I believe, so there is no Wu right now, just a force serving Yaun Shu.
>>
>>32812291

Hes gotta be better than Dongs.

Can't get any worse than that.

Our force doesn't really have much of a choice though. We can be easily destroyed by anyone.
>>
>>32812302
Which makes the decision by Chang An to refuse Fan Chou's defection even more suicidal in retrospect. 10:1 odds is guaranteed death. Any other option would have been better.
>>
I think we are all missing something important here.

>>
>>32812322
Cao Cao is a fine fall-back option. The man's a Hero Collector. Prove yourself astoundingly competent and he'll definitely reward you.

He's just also the default option. He's two-star difficulty at best. Wouldn't it be more fun to win on five-star difficulty?
>>
>>32812379

>>32812475

You nod at Lu Bu.

"I cannot find fault with the plan either. My family in Xu Chang will be hospitable, and Xu Chang has yet to be taken by the other lords. It is a good city where we will be able to gather more men and supplies."

Lu Bu nods, but looks back at Chen Gong. He places an elbow on the table, hand on his chin.

"Tell me Gongtai. Why do you wish to help us? You could have taken our heads and received a reward."

Chen Gong bows.

"General, you are the man that killed the villain Dong Zhuo and unparalleled in might. You also have doughty warriors by your side, and have the potential to unify the land. You however lack advisers and strategists. I believe that by following you, I may find a place for myself. The other lords are petty and power hungry. While you, General, may act impulsively at times, I believe that only you act true of heart and do not hide behind a mask. I will state here and now that I wish for you to use me for your future plans, and I will use you to seek a unified land."

Lu Bu laughs. He seems satisfied and content with the answer despite the last statement which may have been offensive. In any case, the plan is set and you and Lu Bu retire for the night as Chen Gong shows both of you to the quarters.

As morning comes, Lu Bu's army moves toward Xu Chang along with Chen Gong and his entourage now in tow. It takes a few days, but soon the army is at the gates of Xu Chang. Chen Gong implores your troops to wait before he heads inside Xu Chang to speak with the governor, and after a few hours, the gates are opened up your troops enter.
>>
>>32812250

That instead of a battle, the army could safeguard Xu Chang from other lords and destroy and bandits that are beginning to rise in these times. You can see that Chen Gong is a talented man... You and Lu Bu should likely listen to him from hereon.

The soldiers are ordered to find quarters within the city barracks and some inns, but to make no trouble for the people of Xu Chang. Most of the people

We have cash now.

But whether or not buying equipment takes a full turn is important.

Because if it still does....then we need to make damn sure we spend a turn to at least get us some better damn armor.

If not, we need to make sure we still do it to get us at least some better damn armor.

We still have a good pile of gold to spend.

This
Let's have our little sister become a warrior like her big bro so that when our current character inevitably dies in battle we can continue to kick ass
>>
>>32812699
Welp, that guarantees we will never buy equipment.
>>
>>32812664

Iron Armor, Blade, and Bow are still my top choices.

That should give us two edges in a duel, raise our WAR to 86, and give us legitimate armor to avoid minor wounds.
>>
>>32812718
I still want us to get that goddamned banner
>>
>>32812689
I .. c-can.. dream. But joking a side, We are alive and we have a chance to rebuild.
>>
>>32812699
Turns are already painfully stupid. 3 months and we can have one conversation with one guy?

Equipment gives tiny bonuses. Choosing to get equipment over building up social links is suicidal.
>>
>>32812718

We're mainly fighting from horseback now.

Would the spear be a better choice than the sword?

Thinking of lu xun style warrior mode.
>>
>>32812718
We have been getting minor wounds fairly often, Iron armor would probably fix that
>>
>>32812767

The Spear doesn't give additional Wound Effect in a duel.

Spear only gives +2 War, compared to Blade's +1 and advantage in duel.
>>
>>32812750

So we do it at one shot.

We spend a couple of turns doing social links and helping the people, see if we get more pay.

Either way, we then do some purchases after.
>>
>>32812782
>implying the items are the same

We were at the capital before. The items here will probably be worse.
>>
>>32812801

We can't, we don't know how many turns we get before we get thrown into a battle or an event.

We need to buy on the first turn to ensure we actually get to an shop.
>>
>>32812767
Spear? Might as we'll get a Glaive then
>>
>>32812699

Except at the end of the last thread, we asked if he could revise it to NOT take a full turn, as that was one of the major complaints.

Aside from the butthurt autists complaining that we lost a battle
>>
>>32812822

We have half a year though.
>>
>>32812822
And that comes at the cost of being able to possibly influence the battle.

Item shops taking a turn mean we will not ever use item shops, it's pretty much that simple.
>>
>>32812818

It could be better as well, this was the "new" capital and the merchants and peasants were suffering from Dong Zhuo being Dong Zhuo.

>Go see your family
You got to see your family first. It would speak ill for you to ignore your own clan, especially when you are the head of it. (Cha +2, Pol +2)

Your little brother and sister welcome you. Your little brother is a handsome man and has taken care of the clan while you were away. He is not a warrior like you, but he has a good head and does management work well. He has not found a woman yet, and you think that he will be essential to making connections with other noble families.

Your little sister is young, obedient, and beautiful. She is at the time of marriage (During this time period anyway) and she should also be essential to making connections with other families.

“Welcome... Welcome elder brother,” Zhu Yang says as he clasps your hand. “I heard what happened at Chang An, and was worried you would have not returned to us.”

“Thank the spirits that you are safe...” your sister, Yue, says putting her arms around you. “You must be tired. Please rest while you can.”

The day goes by as you spend your time with your family.

Time passes. You hear about the other lords. Cao Cao has taken much of Yuzhou province, and you wonder if he plans to take Xu Chang next. It doesn't matter too much either way as your army does not plan to stay for longer.

Sun Jian perished while fighting with Liu Biao under Yuan Shu's orders. They say Sun Jian's son is a fine warrior and continues to serve Yuan Shu.

In the north, Yuan Shao and Gongsun Zan fought for a while before they made a truce. Yuan Shao plans to unify his surrounding areas and fights against bandits.

So I can move things faster and things proceed at a better pace. You ask for the whereabouts of Chen Gong and you find out that is doing business with the merchants. You head to his location, where you find him negotiating with some businessmen as was told.

"The price is 50 taels.. No more, no less," the businessman says.
"You take me for a fool, Sir. I know that the harvest has been good this year for Xu Chang and the supply of grains for now is high, the demand low. The acceptable price is 30 taels."

The two discuss more, and in the end, Chen Gong manages to buy supplies for your army at a lower price. Quite a shrewd man...

You walk to him when the business is done. He bows when he sees you and smiles.

You both proceed to walk down the streets of Xu Chang. You can see that Xu Chang is a flourishing city with a good population and big markets. The people are content as always, and you are glad to have been born here.

>Ask him about the work he has done in Xu Chang so far
You are interested to know what he has been doing this whole time. You just saw him shrewdly doing business, perhaps he has been doing equally impressive acts. You ask of his actions.

"Ahhh... Logistical work, dealing with the magistrate, getting more volunteers to our side," he remarks. "I have been buying equipment for our troops and some grains. Xu Chang is a city of commerce as you may very well know. It is somewhat difficult dealing with these lot, but I manage. The magistrate is of course, suspicious of us. What man not be when an army is stationed here? Appeasing him, solving some problems of the city, making sure we won't be kicked out soon... And getting some of the other ministers to out side," he remarks with a smile and a telling tone. You can partly tell from his words that Chen Gong has bought over some of the other administrators of this city as to keep your force intact.

"Do you ask because you are suspicious of me?" he asks with a smile.

I don't know how you counted.

>>32814543
Last time I'm addressing you, since you seem so keen on bitching non-stop despite polite responses from me so far.

No I don't want to see the player fail. I specifically said I posted ONE time anonymous to make players think more about marching out with Lu Bu. I also gave the last option to retreat as one last chance. I threw in hints about the enemy plan (Which I thought were fine, but will ad better hints since /tg/ has stated it was way too subtle), and stated before Fan Chou couldn't be found because he was a stratagem strike force attacking through another path far away. There were choices outlined that could have saved Chang An and they were not picked. If you think I'm bullshitting you, and am intent on this "railroad" of fucking over players, don't play.

Fan Chou, was once again being watched. As in guards are posted to watch his moves and his movements are limited. You think he should have done everything in power to send a message as you would logically try if you were playing him. You weren't and art not,. The Chang An force was outnumbered 2 to 5, not 1 to 10. They didn't want to risk letting a potential enemy in and thought they could defend the city. They were wrong.

If you use your form of logic in every quest you play, every DnD session and the like, games will always be halted and no progress will be made. "He should have done this instead,d, this should have gone this way by my logic. There's this one plot hole and I'm going to bitch about it."

As I stated form the very start, your character might even die and perish and you'll have to roll a new one. If you can't deal with everything going your way, you are not suitable for this quest, or any quest after.

Because you're a little bitch.

I believe they are counting using the mystical "refresh the page" method. It's a secret and ancient art that allows you to see messages that would otherwise be hidden to your sight.

In all honesty though, put a time limit on votes, post a "vote over, counting" post, and then go from there.

First 5 votes is a terrible idea because it encourages people to VOTE QUICK without thinking at all.

10 minutes for decisions like write-in dialogue. Extend it to 15 if it's an important strategy decision and discussion is needed.

5 minutes for everything else.

The question Chen Gong asks is somewhat blunt and puts you in a slight awkward position. You are savvy enough at least not to show any surprise or concern to his question, and respond quickly with what you think is a proper appeasement.

“No, I was simply interested to know of how things proceed outside of my expertise. Fighting and waring is my forte, but I am a noble and head of a clan as well. I must be knowledgeable in other affairs.”

“Hah, fair enough,” Chen Gong responds stroking his beard. “It would make my job easier if I could have your input and thoughts as well. Though that would mean you would be my adversary as well,” he jokingly states. You both laugh and soon arrive by the inn Chen Gong is staying at.

“If I may ask, what do you hope to gain at the end of all this,” he asks, his face turning in a more serious tone, although he keeps on a casual look.

We are just going to cover for his weakness so he can wreck shit without having to use his brains.
>>
>>32815286

Declaring all of them to be sentenced to death was the wrong move.

A better move would have been to publically pardon them, bestow titles on them and summon them before the court for a grand conference of the generals and to renew their oaths of loyalty to the emperor.

Then when they step into the palace, they are strung up and hung.

Are we even pursing his daughter? The only conversation we've had with her happened by accident and she hated us for it.

We should probably get someone less volatile.

We are pursuing Lingqi. That was decided in the very first thread.

We don't seem to be very active or good at it, then.

We are playing the long game, anon.

We are on her radar and we just need to continue to prove our valor on the battlefield. We just need to start respecting her as a warrior in her own right, which we will do.

Frankly, Linqi's probably not going to be won over by conversation, but by deeds. It was a good decision to not talk to her.

Well you know, bros before hoes, especially if that bro is the ho's father.

But I thought our whole reason for becoming a soldier was to make a name for ourselves?

Being honest about our ambition instead of brown-nosing up to Lu Bu might lead somewhere interesting. Then again, this Chen Gong guy might consider us expendable and a glory-hound.

And besides that we haven't had any interaction with her. Just where are you guys coming up with these impressions of her character?

She appreciates battle, not us climbing up to her balcony at midnight or visiting her house with a box of... steambuns I guess.

Middleground fallacy.

The point between a correct decision and a stupid one is still a stupid decision.
>>
>>32815513

>You chat for a while before departing his house. It seems you made a good impression on Lu Bu. Unbeknownst to you, someone else was watching and was moderately impressed with how you did against Lu Bu.

MC's first interaction with Lingqi probably

>"Father, I am a grown woman and a warrior now. I will march and meet the enemy as well."
>"I understand that! I am prepared to lay down my life for your cause!"

>Her hair is cut short and she looks back at you with fierce eyes

>"I will fight whether you like it or not Father. I will not sit idly by and fiddled around for political purposes like the other women of this land."

>"And I will not be condescended down by anyone. I am a warrior of my own right, and if you both cannot respect my prowess, than I shall earn more kills on the battlefield than both of you by my own right."

>You can see near the front of the army Lu Lingqi who is also tired and her armor tattered with some red. By the looks of it, she is not injured and the blood is from enemy soldiers. You can tell she is tired, but she presses on without a word of complaint.

That's enough to get some impressions of her personality and motivations.

>>
>>32815637
I was kind of hoping we could pull off some kind of Peach Brothers thing with Lu Bu instead of marrying his daughter.
>>
>>32815630

We can't say one way or another. It would make sense that Lingqi would be impressed since she values martial prowess.

I don't think Diaochan was living with Lu Bu since that was before the schism.

We're supposed to be the good guys here. We've built up that reputation with Dong Zhuo, and can use it to our advantage later.
>>
>>32815495
So our answer really could be the first three choices?

Say, I wonder whatever became of Cai Yan. Does she think we're a cowardly idiot? Probably. Or does she still respect that we saved her father? Hell, I wonder what the Cai family's standing with the occupying forces is.
>>
>>32815665

that's not how it works, anon.
>>
>>32815665

Nah, just pointing out that he gets killed by the other 3 generals.

We might not be able to count on his help. Thing is from MC's perspective, we might not want to either since we've shown anger at this shit.
>>
>>32815681
Don't be a Liu Bei, anon.
>>
>>32815637

My guess was that the optimal + Lingqi decision was letting her fight with no strings attached.

That would of course piss off Lu Bu.

I honestly think anons are blowing our choice out of proportion.

Lingqi is clearly headstrong and didn't appreciate the thoughts that she needed protection. But it wasn't a route lock, particularly as we still supported allowing her to fight.

Whether Lingqi is a good fit for the MC is another question entirely. Honestly, she presents a lot of complications.

>I simply wish to follow General Lu Bu and become a renown warrior by his side
>I am hoping to save the Han and restore peace.
"General Lu Bu is the mightiest warrior in this land. I respect him and wish to follow him wherever that may be. I am looking to hone myself as a warrior, and see if I can match his prowess. Other than that... The state is in trouble and the Emperor has lost much power. I wish to see the Han restored, and see peace returned back to this land."

Chen Gong nods in a distant fashion, and clasps his hands behind him.

"Then I will be there to offer whatever advice I may give, in order to support you both. Supports of the Han are dying, and it will be difficult to restore it back to the glory days. I too wish to see the Han restored if possible... But remember Sir Zhu, it may be too late for that, and we must see the bigger picture in securing a better place than hanging on to a dying state."

He lets out a slight sigh at the complicated nature of things.

"In any case, thank you for talking with me. I understand if you may not entirely trust me yet, but believe me when I say I will do my best to meet your trust."

You both bow to each other, and Chen Gong returns to his room. You feel that you both have gained a better understanding of each other, but are not true friends yet.
>>
So Raian, where the heck is Zhang Liao in all of this? I want to form the alMIGHTy trinity already!
>>
>>32815769
Time passes by more, and by a few months, your force has been replenished and has grown in size. With volunteers and the help of Chen Gong, your force has grown to 7000 in numbers. You take care to remember that a lot of them are green, and not the veteran forces you fought with back when you served Dong Zhuo. They need to see some blood and you need to be careful with how you lead them.

Doughty warriors who stand out also join. Wei Xu, Song Xian, and Hou Cheng are good warriors that joined as lieutenants and can outmatch the average man. Chen Gong however warns that they should not be fully trusted and must be treated well to keep their loyalty. Another large man, Gao Shun has joined. He is skillful in not only warfare but leading horsemen as well. Finally, there is a man Zhang Liao who has actually been following Lu Bu for a while but had been serving as a common soldier. He has apparently killed many of the enemy soldiers while he was following your troops, and you even suspect that he can match your prowess.

The time finally comes to discuss your plans. Chen Gong gathers you and Lu Bu together for a council meeting.

“Greetings, Generals. Now is the time we can finally move and make plans. I offer you three options...”
>>
>>32815743

I find our character progression on duels somewhat hilarious.

>Try to challenge Guan Yu to a battle, get told by fucking Lu Bu that we are being reckless
>Duel one of Sun Jian's officer, wounding him and getting wounded in return.
>Say fuck that to dueling Cheng Pu and do the smart thing instead.

Obviously we are going to duel officers in the future but that's our history so far.

> I don't know much about Sun Jian.

He's dead, Jim
>>
>>32815769
I think the way we were aiming for was more "I want to become an esteemed warrior with Lu Bu at our side by saving the Han" but whatever.
>>
>>32815786
“One, we may set up base here in Xu Chang and overthrow the magistrate. I warn that while this is easy enough, the road ahead after will be difficult. Cao Cao will be bordering us to the east, Yuan Shu a bit further south, and there are of course the scoundrels Guo Si and Li Jue who have taken charge. Cao Cao is careful and we may keep him out of doorsteps, and Yuan Shu is a fool who we can easily appease, but Guo Si and Li Jue no doubt will plan to attack us as soon as possible when they hear we take over Chang An. We will need to hire more troops and keep a strong guard. Our popularity here will also be low given that we will be taking over the city.”

“The second option is to head south, past the Chang Jian river. There we may claim small towns and territory before we defeat the local magistrates there. We will need to subjugate the Shanyue tribes there, and it will take a few years to truly control the area. We may then be facing off against Yuan Shu who will no doubt grow jealous of our new powers. Liu Biao of Jing may not take us kindly as well. However, we will have a strong of power and will be able to contend with the other lords.”

“The last option is to go and serve a lord as an ad hoc force. We will take supplies and gold in return for our services... And when the time comes, we may take their territory from underneath them. Or we may ask the lord we serve to give us land that as reward when we defeat their enmies. I will outline the lords we can serve should you choose this option.”

Lu Bu grows silent. There is much to think about and he cannot choose without some thinking... What do you choose?
>Option 1: Take Xu Chang
>Option 2: Head to the Southlands
>Option 3: Go serve another lord and eventually try to get territory

>>
>>32815806

I hate option 3, but I'm torn between Options 1 and 2.

Option 2 seems to be much safer but it will take some time.
>>
Let's see if we can mold Zhu Yue a bit, like, Yang is already a good statesman and marriagable, but the only thing Yue has going for her is that she's marriagable.

She's a blank slate, yet there might be potential for greatness, whether it be in diplomacy, assassination, warfare maybe (I don't like her stealing our schtick), or strategy?

I'm in favor of asking her of her own ambitions. my ideal route for her would be to travel the land while learning a skill, but it's her choice in the end.

>>
>>32815806
>>Option 3: Go serve another lord and eventually try to get territory

Go join under Yuan Shao and take his lands.

The south is the holdings of the Sun family, where they will rise.

By being near chang an, we will be in a position to welcome the emperor or take chang an when we kill yuan shao.

>>
>>32815899

Wandering horse nomads are in the north. The "barbarian" tribes of the south are actually more like sedentary, non-horse-riding Native American nations.
>>
>>32815940

I still think it's the easiest option, we can team up with Liu Biao and even Yuan Shu against Sun Ce if necessary.
>>
>>32815806
>Option 2: Head to the Southlands
Option 1 is tempting but we'd be in a very difficult spot. I'd rather conquer the south first so we could have a base to start with that's easier to defend from
>>
Why the fuck does nobody want to pull the rug out from under that dumbass Yuan Shao? It will be almost hilariously easy, not to mention he has a great horde of decently-experienced troops.

>>
>>32815806
>Option 3 (Gong Sun Zan)

Now hear me out: 1) White Calvary regiment will help us decimate Yuan Shao's force.
2) Once we beat Yuan Shao's forces, we can ask Gong Sun Zan for those lands.

Then we can work our way back to Luo Yang, Xu Chang and eventually Chang An.

It's an interesting idea, and we'd have a chance at recruiting Zhao Yun.

But ultimately, I think independence in the south is the safest route.

If we wanted to do the dick route, we'd join up with Tao Qian and basically take Liu Bei's place in history.
>>
>>32816043

I think Sun Ce's territorial ambitions might conflict with ours. If that's the case, then hostilities may be inevitable.

>>
>>32816145
I mean when we do have time.
He's almost like a second Sima Yi, without the dickass backstabbing!
>>
>Option 2: Head to the Southlands
You think hard and ponder on what you know.

"As far as I understand... The Southlands are rich, and the river Chang Jian can serve as defense should we be attacked. The magistrates are of no name and they are not used to war. Surely we would be able to beat them."

Lu Bu slightly grunts.

"I wish for some challenge and good fights. Remember that we are warriors, Zhu Xing."

"Worry not," Chen Gong says to intervene. "While our force will be superior as warriors, remember that our force is still only small in comparison with the other lords. The magistrates I can assure you will be beaten, but they will by no means be easy targets."

Lu Bu finds this appeasing, and he agrees. And thus, your force's goal is set in motion and you head southward. For a few weeks your men pass towns and villages and traverse through some rivers. You and your men begin to notice the climate change... It is much hotter and uncomfortable in the south. Chen Gong warns the men need to be kept strong and well-fed least they succumb to the weather and disease. Lu Bu at times pillages small villages around the road you travel to feed the army as there is not much choice. Chen Gong makes sure Lu Bu is kept in check and only takes supplies from remote villages.

Soon you finish crossing the Chang Jian and are at the South. Chen Gong advises that you all rest for a few days to recover from the long journey, and you all do so. There are some options available to you now...

>There are local pirates in the area with a prominent warrior. Attack them and destroy them.
>Take the time to order warships built. Chen Gong states they will not be needed to fight the magistrates, but may be needed once the South is conquered and future invasion plans are made
>Take the time to forage for supplies and fish. Your supplies are not low, but gathering a surplus will help in the future

You could argue that foraging has 66% chance of winning versus 33% for pirates if foraging gets to roll twice.

The minor difference in implementation probably doesn't just an entire roll since it fucks up the probability.

Of course, the foraging supporters will say that they are entirely separate options and that each option has 33% shot of winning.

I think that's being dishonest since the two options are fundamentally similar.

As a note, I only count the first roll for an option when using rolls to determine which route we go. That way there is no constant rolling for high rolls.

>forage, let Lu Bu and Zhang Liao kill pirates
You tell Lu Bu that you want to gather the supplies for the army, and that he should go destroy the pirates. He has no objections.

You spend time gathering various supplies and making a surplus of your foodstores. Grain, shoots, animal, edible plants are gathered. The soldiers also fish with nets in the area and gather numerous schools of them. The fish are dried and stored well as not to rot.

Lu Bu and Zhang Liao return later. They utterly crushed the pirates. Unfortunately, Lu Bu killed the pirate leader, Jiang Qin, in a duel, and Chen Gong laments slightly that your force could have turned him over to your side along with some of the pirates. Well, not really a big loss...

Your force finally moves out in full force. You head towards the city of Jian Ye, ruled over by a man named Liu Yao. Liu Yao marches out to meet your forces on the plains. His men are 10,000 strong.

Chen Gong advises that a simple straight up fight is best here. The enemy is not that strong, and beating Liu Yao in a straight battle will gain the admiration of the Southern people.

The lines are drawn. From the enemy lines, a warrior rides forward.

"I am Ze Rong! You treacherous invaders, fight me in single combat!"

Lu Bu gets his halberd ready, but Chen Gong stops him from going.

"You have earned more than enough glory, General. You must learn to give deeds and rank to your own men so they should feel satisfied. You and Sir Zhang Liao have already beaten the pirates. I advice you to allow one of our new ranked warriors to fight."

He frowns, but heeds Chen Gong's advice. You remember Chen Gong advising you that some of the new recruits needed to be appeased to keep their loyalty... But still, you want to fight as well.

We're at least 500 li from Chang An by now and knowing Raian, he's probably going with what happens in True History route and the Emprah's stuck in the middle of the 4 generals squabbling for control of the Imperial Court.

Wang Yun's probably dead unless he proved that he can't be replaced because he's that damn good at his job as Minister of the Masses.

Cai Yan's daddy is more than likely alive, though also probably imprisoned-- but then again, he's supposed to be dead in True History because of the whole crying for Dong Zhuo's death thing-- What's that copper smell?

>Declare a bet with her on who will take the most heads
You move your horse next to her own, and with confident, ready your spear. You glance at her with a grin.

"I will be obtaining glory here. I hope that you can follow my lead."

Lingqi looks back at you, and scoffs.

"You think you can match me and my prowess? Why don't you heard at the back of lines and watch the battle as a general should do."

"Then what about a bet? I am willing to stake my fortunes that I will take more heads than you.

"You're on, little man," she responds as the battle horns and drums are rolled.

Lingqi charges quickly in with the other soldiers. You follow suit, and together your forces smash through the enemy flank. The enemy soldiers scatter in the face of your might. With your Whispering Blade on one hand and spear in another, you cut down numerous enemy soldiers. You and an elite group of cavalry charge through and break enemy formation.

An arrow whistles past however and hits you on the chest. You grunt and your momentum is stopped. Thankfully your armor has stopped you from death, but you bleed slightly. (Minor Wound)

The rest of the battle is easily won. The central flank and the right flank led by Lu Bu and Zhang Liao also easily crushed the enemy force. Liu Yao retreats with the remannts of his army, his numbers dwindled to half. Lu Bu's casualties are but a few hundred.

You sit down to treat your wound. Lingqi comes over to point and laugh at you.

"Looks like I win this round, Zhu Xing. I lost counts on how many I killed, but at least I remain unscathed! Perhaps you should stay back as I suggested!"

Well... You lost the bet, and Lingqi is making fun of you, but it's a lighthearted taunt. It seems your relationship with Lingqi has improved somewhat.

After a few hours of rest and the wounded treated, Lu Bu gathers the men and marches once again. Liu Yao has also reformed his ranks, though it seems their morale has grown deplorable. As your armies line for battle, another warrior comes forth. He is dressed in red ornate armor, big, and fierce looking.

“I am Taishi Ci! I seek a worthy challenge, who shall come forward!?”

You think maybe it's time another lieutenant gets his share of glory and is about to offer a suggestion, but Chen Gong places a hand on your shoulder. When you look at him, he shakes his head.

“Wait. That man is Taishi Ci. I remember that he did incredibly well in the Turban Rebellion, and he managed to save Kong Rong with a few hundred troops against a couple thousand. I fear the other warriors will be no match for him.”

“But they want glory,” you reply back. “It was your suggestion as well you give them chances.”

“That was then. We have just earned a crushing victory and the others have taken heads. They are appeased and we do not need to offer them another duel. I believe General Lu Bu must go out and fight this man.”

You remember you are injured. And it seems Taishi Ci is a powerful man... What should you do?

What we have to worry about is fighting well and inspiring men during battle. Also, comradery. Our ties with other generals shall be our greatest strength. You nod, and remain silent as Chen Gong goes over to Lu Bu and asks him to fight the duel. Lu Bu smiles brightly, and brings out his halberd. It seems he has been itching for a while. Red Hare in though, he charges forward.

"Do you know what they say of me, back in the north!?" he shouts swinging his halberd.

"Among men, Lu Bu. Among horses, Red Hare. It will be an honor to fight the Flying General! Have at you!"

Lu Bu and Taishi Ci charge at each other, and their weapons flourish under the sun. Lu Bu makes strong swings and slashes, but Taishi Ci manages to parry them. Taishi Ci is slowly pushed back for a moment, but before long, he pushes back with with attacks of his own. A hundred bouts are fought before Lu Bu manages to find an opening and swings his halberd.

Taishi Ci manages to flinch back just in time. His armor is scrapped from left to right, but he remains uninjured. Liu Yao rolls the drums to retreat, afraid that he will lose his champion. Taishi Ci bows to Lu Bu before he returns.

Lu Bu returns, content and happy. While he did not kill Taishi Ci, it seems he enjoyed the fight. The drums are rolled again, and the two armies clash. Liu Yao is easily routed to a mere 2000 troops with once again few casualties on your side.

You tell Lu Bu and Chen Gong that you will write a letter to Taishi Ci, offering him surrender. They both agree to wait for you to carry out your plan.

You go to the part of the camp where prisoners are kept. You tell them that they will be freed and allowed to go back to Jian Ye. You however pull up one enemy soldier, and demand to him that he must drop this letter on the ground where the enemy can see it. Only then will he be allowed to return to Jian Ye and not be executed here and now. The enemy soldier agrees.

The prisoners are sent back, and the enemy is glad to know that Lu Bu's forces are honorable enough to at least send back war prisoners.

Night passes. You and your force hear enemy fighting inside the city walls. Seeing this, Lu Bu quickly gathers up the army and charges to the gates.

"Open the gates!" he shouts. "All who side with us shall live and be rewarded, the others killed.

Enemy soldiers open the gate and your forces charge in. The city is quickly taken, and Liu Yao and Taishi Ci are brought forward in ropes.

One of the enemy soldier informs you of what happened. Liu Yao found a letter that was detailing the surrender of Taishi Ci, and for him to lead the prisoners that were sent back to kill Liu Yao and hand the city over to Lu Bu. Liu Yao demanded the arrest of Taishi Ci and the prisoners and for them to be immediately executed. A large number of the enemy soldiers protested, favoring Taishi Ci who was well-know around the area and treated them well. A feud broke out, and some of the soldiers who were on Taishi Ci's side opened the gates for Lu Bu's forces.

Liu Yao curses your force and is led away to be executed. Lu Bu looks over Taishi Ci in his gags, and offers him employment.

“You are a stout warrior, Taishi Ci. Join me, and let us conquer the land with out might. Otherwise, you are free to go and I will offer you a horse and some gold to be on your way.”

His ropes are loosened. Taishi Ci sighs, and clasps his hands together.

“It seems I was not only soundly defeated in might, but defeated through your force's stratagem as well. I will join your cause, General.”

And thus, Lu Bu's force took Jian Ye with the addition of a new warrior by their side. Lu Bu ordered for the remaining soldiers who surrendered to be treated well, and most of them joined. Order was well maintained and soon plans were made to conquer the remaining southlands.

I enjoy them, but considering the shit storm that broke out last time I don't blame him for skipping this week.
>>
>>32817979
Bravo sir. Probably the best quest on /tg/ right now.
>>
>>32818018

I doubt there will be a shitstorm this time. I'm genuinely curious how we did.

Except for the one anon crying railroading, DMPC, and GMPC like a broken record.
>>
>>32818021
>Probably the best quest on /tg/ right now.
I wouldn't say that. It's decent though.

AN ENTIRE WEEK?

I CAN'T DO THAT
>>

>Thinks those were the same guy

The QMPC thing's an easily observable truth.
The railroading claim is bullshit.

Yeah, forgot.

There was no real wrong choice on the three options.
>Choosing Xu Chang was going to be a slight hard mode however. You could either fight Li Jue/Guo Si and secure the Emperor, or make peace with them by sending lots of gifts and attacking Cao Cao when he would attack Tao Qian. The rewards were destroying Cao Cao completely or securing the Emperor based on how things went but it would have been hard.
>Choosing to serve another lord depended heavily on who you chose in how things would play out. Cao Cao would have been a poor choice for example, who would be smart enough not to give Lu Bu territory and use him like a fiddle. Choosing Liu Zhang from Yi would have been a good choice who you could easily rebel against after a few service

Jiang Qin would have joined with some additional hundreds of troops if you went for him and beat him in a duel without killing him. Only thing to be said in those choices.

Lingqi option was good, other options would have her ignoring you.

Dueling Taishi Ci would have been 100% Liu Yao getting suspicious as long as you survived the duel for 5 rounds. Letter depended on Int stat, acting friendly depended on Cha stat, failing the roll would mean a siege where Jian Ye would be taken but casualties on your side and Taishi Ci fighting to the death.
>>
>>32818074

Eh, not so much.

Chen Gong was historically Lu Bu's strategist, and a fairly good one at that.

Since we're not a strategist, it's pretty much required that Raian has to have one tag along.

Unless you want us to start losing battle after battle.
>>
Rolled 17

>>32818125

How hard a ride is it back to chang an should we choose to return from our current location?

Did cai yun and his daughter survive the purge?
>>
>>32818125

Eh, I don't mind losing Jiang Qin and his pirates. Taishi Ci is the prize here.

What's the current senior leadership of our army?

I know we are Lu Bu's top deputy and Cheng Gong is the strategist, but where do Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, the 3 Dudes, and Taishi Ci fit in?
>>
>>32818165
that might be spoiler territory.
>>
>>32818142
You're completely missing the point, but whatever.
>>
Rolled 16

>>32818173

At least if we heard anything then.

The ride distance shouldnt be since its just that. Distance
>>
>>32818074
It's painfully obvious it's the one guy. It was him bitching about railroads last game, complaining about railroading at the start of this game and saying he was going to fuck the game over, then complaining about railroading again once the whole south attack started.

Notice how he doesn't even reply to part about the three choices and just cherrypicks the parts with Cheng Gong giving advice as the railroading.
>>
>>32818125

Would we have survived the arrow to the chest if we still had our shitty leather armor?

Are we going to be using our bow outside of duels?

What did you think of the Gongsung Zan idea?

Were you surprised by how close the initial duel vote was?

Did you have fun?
>>
Rolled 10

I like how we're picking up or killing wu generals.

And since lu bu never goes to stay with liu bei and dick him over, it'll be harder to rouse him.
>>
>>32818196

As someone who was miffed at how last threat turned out, there was definately more than one person complaining about railroading then.

I think this thread most of the complains probably come from one or two people, but in the last thread, as well as the /qtg/ after, there were at least 5 people complaining in succession too quick to be a samefag.
>>
>>32818170

Also where does Lingqi fit into the hierarchy?
>>
>>32818231

Yup, this thread, I'd say 2 max. Most people who complained on /qtg/ probably dropped it.

Which is fine, if they don't enjoy it, they don't have to participate. Plenty of people do anyway
>>
Rolled 17

>>32818237

A pastebin on our side would be good.

We're effectively directing our side while Lu Bu is our Commander-in-Chief/Big scary weapon to point and release.
>>
I wish whoever archives these threads will take care not to do such a sloppy job in the future.
>>
>>32818196
The guy talking about railroading and the guy talking about Cheng Gong suddenly appearing as a reaction to people complaining last thread are two different people.

Critical thinking skills anon.
>>
Rolled 6

>>32818267

? It looks fine?
>>
>>32818170
You at the top, Zhang Liao following. Chen Gong gives advice, he has no authority otherwise if everyone decides screw him and doesn't listen. Lingqi doesn't care for armies and just wants battle, so she'll lead units but not an entire army.

>>32818165
Chang An is very, very far away. You're not getting there anytime soon a this point.

>>32818203
Yes, you would have survived. Just a
bigger injury.

Bow is a bow, you can use it whenever. It won't be special outside of duels. It just gives checks to enemy injury when dueling.

Gongsun Zan would have been slightly difficult. Yuan Shao and Gongsun Zan fought evenly for the most part historically, Lu Bu could have changed the tide.

No real surprise. I actually predicted Lingqi could have won because of all the love she gets. The consequences for doing so wouldn't have been immediate riots or whatever, but some considerations in the future.

And I always have fun to see where this goes, otherwise, wouldn't run it.
>>
>>32818196
>>32818231
>>32818272

It's more than one guy. I know that for a fact because I'm the Cheng Gong is a QMPC guy and I was more than happy with the way last thread turned out.

The fact that I can't have fun looking for clues in Raians post anymore because everything so goddamned blatant now is what's irritating.

Idiots who can't take a loss ruining a rare nuance quest.
>>
Rolled 12

>>32818319

Thanks for running Raian. And for sticking with it even after the shitstorm of the last thread.

I wanna see what the sun family does when they start trying to reclaim their lands. Sun Ce and Sun Jian will be a pain in the ass to fight.
>>
>>32818272
You're fucking stupid, critical think yourself. Look at how the guy complaining about Chen Gong goes
>hurr durr, Chen Gong new railroad guys! Votes don't even matter! Just let QM decide everything through Chen Gong!
It's obvious he wants the quest to be burned down for his sake.
>>
Rolled 4

>>32818334

Well for the most part, this is a straight forward part of the quest. The south a really soft target until the Sun family rolled back into it.

Everything so far has been easy common sense and likely we would have followed the path we took.

Except for maybe sending Lingqi to go fight that guy.
>>
>>32818334

At least one of them (I'm guessing you) seemed reasonable, while one guy was basically shitflinging if I remember correctly.

So my apologies, I don't want to call people out wrongly.
>>
>>32818340
>I don't like those guy's opinions, better make sure the quest never hears the end of it.
You're just as much of a problem, shut the fuck up about it.
>>
>>32818319

So what would have happened if we actually attacked Chen Gong instead of trusting him? Game over? Or ultra hard mode?
>>
>>32818404
He dies, troops scatter, and the only option would have been going to serve another lord. No Chen Gong giving advice, me probably leaving you guys to decide if things are a bad choice or not with some hints, and probably more angry shitstorms if things turned bad for Lu Bu and co.

We're a commander's Leo.

Lingqi's a serpent.
>>
>>32818517
Yes, with information coming out depending on your stats. Enemy plots? Int will come to play. Some asshole in court is pulling a move on you? Pol. Seeing enemy forces and choosing how to attack, if you should attack, and the like? Lea, with Int playing some role.

Otherwise, once a secure base has been established and kingdom building turns come to play, going to need to gather enemy intelligence, rumors, gossip and the like. It's going to be like the Civ games here.

I'm just going to note; Chen Gong isn't Zhuge Liang. He won't always be right. The enemy fought for this part was scrublord. Chen Gong probably wouldn't have been able to outsmart Cao Cao's forces every move if you decided to fight him at Xuchang.

Lingqi is a handful though. Headstrong and willful, would rather go out and fight than help support the household.

Pang Tong is better

1. Save the Kettle
2. Save Cai Yan in case she needs saving
3. Save the Emperor if we have time

We have the kettle with us, anon. We may not have saved the Emperor, but we weren't going to leave without taking that damn kettle with us.

>>32818680
Lu Bu believed that ending the fighting quickly was the best for the people (a form of negative utilitarianism), regardless of the methods used or how many innocents had to die. As long as the civil war can be ended quickly, it is the best for all the people.

Zhuge Liang opposed this line of thinking, maintaining the peace and order brought by adhering to the traditional teachings and through just and benevolent means last longer.

No, I want a boss fight akin to that one in Twilight Princess where you have to save that one kid from the Moblin Chieftain, but instead of that it's a general with our kettle.
