Recently elevated to the rank of apprentice within the Sith Order, your master, Lord Velas, sent you to Nal Hutta for your first mission. You were met at the spaceport by a Rodian named Zeedo, who took you to his home and gave you a holocommunicator containing a recorded message from your master. The message detailed your mission on Nal Hutta; take over the industrial town of Jiguuna and the surrounding area. After murdering Zeedo as the message instructed, you took your damaged droid, CH-4N, to get repairs. After CH-4N came back online, you murdered the mechanic and brought the droid back to Zeedo's home. The two of you argued for a time, until CH-4N left to dispose of the body and you went into the bedroom to study a holocron you had retrieved from the tomb of Naga Sadow. The holocron taught you to use an ability known as Chain Lightning, and, after a brief argument with your droid, you left to explore Jiguuna.

>Welcome to Sith Quest

Here is the basic layout. Decisions will be made by voting on various options. Whichever option has the most votes after ten minutes is the winner. All votes are final, so choose wisely. Also, you can add some dialogue to your vote, if you wish. During combat, if you want to say something, just type what you want to say with your vote. During conversations, if multiple people supply different dialogue, I will combine as many as I can so long as they do not contradict one another, in order to avoid a conversation taking several hours.

>Important

The combat system will be dice based and use a d100 system. In order to succeed in those options, one out of the first three rolls must be equal to or greater than the specified number. However, if a number of 4 or lower is rolled in the first three, then whatever you were attempting will go very badly. On the other hand, if a number of 96 or higher is rolled in the first five, then whatever you are attempting will go very well unless a roll of 4 or below occurred in the first three.

Rolls will not occur until the voting time is up and the option for a particular roll has won

"I have recently acquired the ability to arc lightning through multiple foes; your words cannot dampen this pleasure," you tell the droid.

"I feel as if I have just been issued a challenge, and shall now double my efforts, all for you, master," he replies.

Tucking the holocron somewhere safe, you leave the building, and go to explore the city.

As you wander the streets, you make note of the large diversity of alien species living alongside one another; Twi'leks, Rodians, Bith, Arcona, Humans, Gamorreans, Zabrak, Ratattaki, Nautolans, Zeltrons, you even spot a Devaronian. One person in particular, however, catches your attention.

An overweight, balding human male runs down the street, sweating profusely and breathing loudly. People move out of his way as he dashes towards a Cantina in the distance. A moment later, you see why he's running.

A brown-haired human female with her hair in a ponytail casually follows the man, keeping a blaster pistol trained on him. She wears dirty looking body armor that you doubt would be useful for anything worse than a gangfight. You notice an amused look on her face as she watches the fleeing man, pulling the trigger and shooting him in the back of his left leg.

The man falls forward to the ground, and turns onto his back, desperately trying to crawl away as he stares fearfully at the approaching woman.

"Please, don't kill me! I've done nothing!" he insists.

"Toth'lazhen disagrees," the woman tells him. "He knows you've been selling information to the other gangs, and so he's put a bounty on your fat carcass."

"Whatever he's paying, I can double it!" the man tells her.

The woman aims her pistol at his forehead.

"Triple!" the man cries desperately.

"Not interested," the woman tells him before pulling the trigger, shooting him right between the eyes.

The man's body slumps to the ground, and the woman approaches him, lifting his corpse and slinging it over her shoulder. She keeps her blaster drawn, looking around at ever-

Deciding not to push your luck by interacting with the bounty hunter, and not particularly wanting to visit the Cantina, you continue to wander the town.

You pass plenty of houses, some of them with broken windows or missing doors, others half destroyed or burnt down completely. You see many shops, some selling weapons, others selling speeders, and others simply selling food. You also see various denizens of Jiguuna selling things outside of shops; spice dealers, prostitutes, information brokers, and other people selling goods and services that would get them arrested or executed in Imperial Space.

"Tell me about the gangs," you instruct him.

"Now that is an interesting subject," the human replies. "I'm guessing you aren't from around here; everyone in Jiguuna makes sure they know plenty about the gangs. Right now, Jiguuna is ruled by Toth'lazhen. He was one of Nem'ro the Hutt's top lieutenants back when Nem'ro was still alive. Toth'lazhen helped convince Nem'ro to get help from the Empire in the turf war between him and Fa'athra the Hutt. Fa'athra got force off Nal Hutta, and things were pretty good until Nem'ro got killed. Toth'lazhen took over and killed the other lieutenants he thought might try to take control from him. Still, with Nem'ro dead, others decided to try their luck at gaining power. The first was Fu'htas the Hutt. Fu'htas took over Fa'athra's old palace and started raiding Toth'lazhen's supply lines. With Toth'lazhen focusing all of his men dealing with Fu'htas, a Rodian gangster named Veero launched a surprise attack on the Rust Yards with his gang. They slaughtered all of Toth'lazhen's men and started producing weapons, droids, and gas. They've held up there ever since, using their weapons and droids to hold onto the Rust Yards and build an army. So, the three gangs have been warring with each other for a while. Recently though, some new gang has popped up in Jiguuna; been ambushing Toth'lazhen's patrols and robbing people. They're still small in number, though; not a real threat yet."

"I want to know about all of the gang leaders," you tell him.

"Alright," he tells you. "Toth'lazhen is a Twi'lek, which means that his rule over Jiguuna displeases many members of the Hutt Cartel. Because of this, Toth'lazhen is without their support in maintaining order in Jiguuna, and nobody in the Cartel is interfering with Fu'htas's bid to take over. Toth'lazhen is considered a bit reckless, and said to not always think things through. Really, he's only maintained power through sheer brutality and having capable followers."

"Fu'htas did his homework before trying to take over Jiguuna," the human tells you. "He quickly seized a large, well fortified base of operations and began recruiting more and more followers. He launched a series of surprise raids on Toth'lazhen's most important supply lines, stealing or destroying a large amount of resources, and attracting followers to his side. Recently, he's focused almost all of his efforts on taking over the Rust Yards. If he succeeds, he'll most likely completely destroy Toth'lazhen's gang within a month. He's ruthless, cunning, and patient; his attacks on the Rust Yards appear to have been with the purpose of feeling out Veero's forces and searching for weaknesses while losing few of his mercenaries. Still, with how rapidly Veero's forces are growing, he's going to be in trouble if he doesn't do something soon."

"Veero is a bit of an oddity among Rodian's," he tells you. "He doesn't display any of the cowardice commonly associated with them, and seems to actually enjoy a good fight. He has the Rodian trait of self-preservation, but displays it by simply killing anyone or anything he considers a threat, rather than running or cowering. Nobody really knows when he started building his gang, but most figure it was soon after Nem'ro died. His very first attack was on the Rust Yards, and he and his gang took it in a single night; some of To-

She'll work for whoever will pay her, but she can't be bought off by her targets; this made her popular with Toth'lazhen, and he hires her often."

Leaving the information broker behind, you search for a place to buy some armor, hoping for some protection and a chance to blend in better. You ask around, and are directed to an armor and clothing shop. Stepping inside and looking around, you see a variety of clothing, from simple civilian clothes for twenty credits, to leather armor, the kind more commonly used by common gangsters, for two hundred credits, basic metal body armor for five hundred credits, and armor looking similar to that of Beelsha for 800 credits."

You make your way back to the alleyway where you spoke with the broker, and proceed to travel all the way through it. Making a right at the end, you walk until you reach the seventh house.

You decide it best to do what he says. You first reach down and retrieve your blaster, handing it to the man, who straps it to his hip. You then hand him your blades, which he does the same with.

"Very good," he says before turning and opening the door. "Let's go."

The safehouse has a very similar layout to the dwelling you acquired from Zeedo, with a single table and two chairs occupying the space in the first room. A blue-skinned Rodian male and a green-skinned Twi'lek male sit at the table, playing cards. They look up as you and the Zabrak pass, grabbing their weapons and following the two of you. You are led up a small, staircase to a room with a desk and six beds.

At the desk sits a human male with short, brown hair. In front of the desk, facing him, are a green-skinned Twi'lek female and a blue-haired Zeltron female. The human stands, and the females turn towards you as you enter the room.

"Well, what have we here?" the human, presumably Yaldan, asks.

"This Kaleesh wanted to speak with you, boss," the Zabrak tells him, walking across the room.

"You confiscated his weapons, yes?" Yaldan asks.

"Of course," the Zabrak answers, handing your weapons to the human.

"Well, it seems we're dealing with a bladesman here," Yaldan comments, looking over your vibroblades. "I wonder how he would fair against you, Soolah."

"If you wish, you can return his blades to him, and we can find out," the Twi'lek tells him, looking you over, as if already analyzing the best way to take you down in a fight.

"Not yet," Yaldan tells her. "He clearly came here for a reason, and he gave us his weapons as a gesture of good faith."

He comes around the desk and strolls across the room, stopping right in front of you. "So, my friend, who are you, and wha-

The Zeltron smiles at him. "Now, now, no need to be upset, Gahtor. You know I love having you around."

"Enough!" Yaldan tells the two. "Chartah, keep this meeting professional," he says to the Zeltron.

"Yes sir," Chartah says with a flirtatious wink and a playful salute.

Using the force, you pull your blades and blaster from their spot on the desk. Catching them in your hands, you strap a blade to your hip, while keeping the other, along with your blaster, drawn. You turn so that everyone is on one side or the other of you; you do not keep your back to anyone.

The gangsters all draw their weapons. Yaldan, though clearly surprised and a bit nervous, does not back up. He stands his ground; blaster pistol aimed between your eyes.

"I am Sith!" you announce to them.

The reactions are varied; Yaldan's eyes widen for a second before his expression becomes neutral once again. The Rodian's hands shake as he keeps his blaster aimed at you. Gahtor's expression is one of surprise and fear. Soolah's eyes narrow, and her grip on her vibroblade tightens. The Twi'lek male eyes you fearfully, while Chartah just smiles, seeming excited to meet a Sith.

"I thought Sith usually carried lightsabers," the Rodian comments.

"They also usually wear robes, not this kind of armor," Yaldan tells him. "Clearly, this one didn't want to draw attention to what he is."

"I am the hand of Lord Velas," you tell them. "And I am here on Nal Hutta to tear down the rotting edifice of Jiguuna's squabbling governance in order to place my own lieutenant on its petty seat of power."

The gangsters exchange looks.

"Is that right?" Yaldan asks. "And you've chosen me?"

"You are an ambitious man, and you've established the beginnings of a powerbase directly under Toth'lazhen's nose. I admire that, so I am granting you the privilege of being the first to hear this offer," you tell him.

"Hmm...well, that is actually a very good offer," Yaldan admits. "Depending on what you mean by "Serve you", of course."

"Jiguuna is an industrial town that produces a lot of valuable things," the Twi'lek male tells him. "He probably wants us to provide him with weapons, droids, adrenals, and so on."

"We get the town, and he gets some of its resources. We provide him with weapons, droids, and so on, and he provides us with control and protection," Yaldan sums up. "Yes, I think we have an agreement. Put away your weapons, friends, and welcome our new leader."

The others do as they are told, putting away their weapons, Soolah seeming reluctant to do so. Chartah grins and saunters over to you.

"Welcome, my lord," she purrs in your ear. "Perhaps you and I can find a nice private place to celebrate your new position by trying out a few other positions."

Soolah shakes her head in disgust, while the Twi'lek male rolls his eyes.

Grab Chartah around the waist and give her the faintest prickle of electricity. We don't want to seem ungracious, but there is a time and a place.

"We are in the midst of a three-way power struggle. This much is obvious to anyone fresh off the spaceport."

"As the weakest party, we must play the others off against each other, and capitalise in the very moment our foes are at their lowest ebb."

"You have been doing well growing without Toth'lazhen's notice. Continue to do so, if you can, and we will strike when the moment is right."

Very risky. Once we take out one of the big boys, our employer will probably be strong enough to not need us, rendering our services and probably lives, void.

Personally I think we should act as a third force, raising all 3 big players by utilizing our secrecy. The major gangs will just think that they're just being raided by each other.

After raiding we progress to assassinating the higher tier leadership of each gang. Without the leadership, the pawns will come to our side easily.

Secrecy, not force, is our best weapon here.

He nods, and leads you down the stairs, into a small room connected to the main one. There are three crates within the room, and Yalda immediately pulls out and opens each one. The first contains various blasters, both pistols and rifles. The second contains vibroblades and vibroknifes. The last contains assorted goods that they likely stole from people's houses; jewelry, booze, clothing, and so on.

"Besides this, we have a stock of food and water, the weapons you've seen, and the clothes on our backs," he tells you. "What do you think?"

We can still go to the seats of power of the other gangs because we are a stranger.
>>
>>32909014
With option B, raiding is do d by us to procure equipment and keep tensions between the major gangs high. Provoking an all out gang war would be awesome, but it's unlikely and shouldn't be our main goal.

Recruitment of new members will be done slowly and quietly, prioritising quality and loyalty over sheer numbers.

Our new gang will focus on training, information gathering and secrecy. It will be split into smaller cells, each focusing on one of our major threats, allowing for occurring assassination attempts.

A cell structure will also compartmentalise gang information, giving us added protection.

"We will work from the shadows," you tell them. "We will raid the three major gangs in secret, while slowly building up our own gang. The other gangsters will blame each other, and waste time and resources battling one another while we grow stronger. Once we have enough resources, we can simply assassinate the leaders of each gang. Without them, their pawns will be easily swayed to out side."

"That could work," Yaldan agrees. "But, to convince the gangs of one another's guilt, we'd need to make conspicuous attacks that are, quite frankly, larger than anything we've been able to pull off so far."

"Also, if resources go missing without ending up in the possession of one of the major gang lords, eventually someone might realize something is going on," the Twi'lek male points out.

"By that point, we'll be a powerful gang in our own right," Soolah says. "So long as we're careful with our first few raids, this plan should work perfectly."

"For the most part, yes, but you talk about assassination as if it is as easy as walking into their bases and stabbing them all," the Rodian chimes in.

"For me, it is that easy," Chartah tells him. " I can get myself invited into anywhere I wish. Though, depending on how discreet I am, that might only work once."

"And to get the resources for the large raids we would be performing, we'd need more resources, which would require smaller raids, drawing attention to us," Yaldan points out.

>A. Tell him that with all of the blasters and vibroblades his gang already has, all you will really need is more men.

I'm with this, but I disagree about quality and loyalty.

We simply need people around that will kill other people before/while they're captured. As long as the larger gangs don't know that it's actually us doing the raiding, who cares how "loyal" our forces are? As long as they're brutal.

"They are already at each other's throats, and so with a little nudge in the right direction, this house of cards will fall. All we need to do is seize the aces before it does."

"The rust yards are a valuable staging point, and two crimelords already fight over it. Toth'lazhen is well known to be ruthless. If Veero dies, his followers will have to choose between falling on his mercy or joining another cause. That cause will be ours. I will go to Toth'lazhen and volunteer to dispose of his Rodian problem, and suggest that since Fu'htas is already attacking the Rust Yards, his own palace is ripe for assault."
