Nobody is sure how the fall came. But they are sure of what came after it.

This is the post apocalypse, a world where your greatest dreams haunt you and your wildest nightmares come true.

A world of men and mutants, of Artificial Intellgiences and terrible monstrous races, of good guys and bad guys and everything in between, of science and greed taken to new and perverse heights. The dead walk, the living fight, and the gods laugh.

And here, you will lead a civilization. To greatness or ignominity, to good or evil, to glory or shame, that is up to you.

Previously, the sad tale of the Guanyin mutants met it's end. This thread is here to make a new tale, and to propose new civs. As well as to ask questions about the previous civ.

New players are welcomed and encouraged, old players are appreciated and our condolences.

You may vote for terrain(CHOOSE) and civ type also hero options will be given once choices are done(heroes give special bonuses as well as perspective). A hero can be assigned to 1 action per a turn. Also feel free to come up with fluff/ideas including factions/civ types it may even be used and you may get a bonus out of it too boot just make to include it in a vote or plan.

>Survivors get a bonus to salvaging and survival actions.

>Tribals get bonuses to scouting and Guerrilla warfare.

>Think Tank start with a Tech specialty and gain a special unit because of this.

>Paramilitary are automatically trained.

>Government Civ may mimic another civs special or have another possibly even create their own with GM permission.

>Military civ is poor at Manufacture and Research early game but starts with a fortified base, lots of weaponry, and trained personnel.

>Mutants get access to 1 free mutation(make one up) plus a base mutation that ALL mutants have. Base mutation grants great toughness to survive in environments where ordinary humanity would find impossible. Enhanced strength easily allowing you to overpower a ordinary human and mild bonus to agility. Unfortunately they suffer from a severe rep penalty(humies fucking HATE you, bandits don't like you and other mutants are wary) and severe breeding issue.

>bandits have the special ability to auto upgrade their forces thanks to their life style(other factions have to spend resources AND a action to do so bandits just do resources) however they are unable to make their own supply(must raid or something) and suffer a reputation penalty. *WARNING* white knight choices will be vetoed you are EVIL, but that doesn't mean you can't be smart/clever about it *WARNING*.

>robots cannot produce without resources as they do not breed. Suffer rep penalty but do not suffer the weaknesses of the flesh.

>Zealots morale cannot be broken.

>Cultists have access to specific secret knowledge

Oh and did I mention, SPACE is now an option too. So if you've got any ideas for trapped astronauts on a satellite orbiting a far away planet, or a lone asteroid mining facility, go for it.
>>
Bump.

Hey Genie, while the old thread is still up there are some questions relating to the old civ.
>>
Bump while I think up of a race to play. I'm thinking Government Remnants with power armor speciality.

Name: Expedition 8472
Faction Type: Government Remnant/Think Tank Remnant
HQ: Military Bunker
Terrain: Desert Canyons with Rivers

Even as the Fall approached, people were planning. Plans to stop it, to speed it up, and of course, to survive it. The great Vaults and Bunkers that world are a testament to mankind attempts to protect himself from annihilation.

One such group included the world famous energy company, Aduro Industries, led by the famed CEO and being of energy himself Lenny Carlson, better known as, “Mr. Light”

Like the rest of the world, they to constructed private bunkers for their think tanks and private investors, secluded and isolated Megacorp towers for their works and assets away from places where the fall would likely hit, and shielding and defenses for their major locations.

Many more radical experiments and proposals were made in preparation for the Fall. One of the more unique of these was “Operation Solar Trek”

Adero Industries was the and was renowned for it's famous PR stunts and always trying to shock the world with wonders and miracles, gaining vast public approval. From it's famous theme park and super science-expo “Carlson World”, to the small home stuff like lightbulbless lights.

It was after the PR stunt codenamed “Space Wars”, where Aduro replicated the technology (such as lasersabers and starfighters) and live recreations of the film series from which the project was named, as well as technology from other famous Sci-Fi series such as Solar Trek and Battlehammer Ten-Thousand, that someone proposed the idea:

What if to survive the fall, you needed a people who didn't see it as the fall?

The idea was simple. Give a group of people advanced spacefaring technology, raise them to believe they are explorers from another star system, and they would treat the post apocalypse as a hostile alien planet and think of new ways to survive it. Geneticaly and mentally pure humans not biased by the predispositions, superstitions, or traditions of old.

The idea being crazy and ludicrous, Aduro immediately set to work making it happen of course. Writers, Linguists, and Artists from around the world were gathered to come up with an entirely alien civilization, with it's own history and culture and language. An idealistic “Federacy” with it's own system of government.

Volunteers were then selected to have their memories wiped and replaced and conditioned to believe they were explorers and colonists from that other world, raised in artificial simulation of their home. After they were recruited as space explorers, they were then placed in deep cryostasis, where they would remain for the remainder of their “voyage”.

Their most unique asset given to them was the “MK7 Vitrolic-Enviornment Protective Suit, or the VEPS 7”, a lightweight yet tough space suit with it's own shielding system designed to competely withstand the radiation of deep space, resist enemy energy, kinetic, and chemical projectiles, be completely air tight and watertight with it's own Oxygen Generator, and even defend against “hostile alien telekinetics and mind assaults.”

In addition to that, their weapons were designed to be unique to their culture, yet capable of being rechargerable, such as the staplemark “Disinteraytors” designed to destabilize the atomic strucutre of anything it comes in contact with.

Once placed in Cryostasis, their “Ship” was built for them.
>>
>>33062012
It was a bunker unlike any other, designed in everyway both inside and outside to be, for all intents and purposes, a fully functional Space Ship. With the minimum of everything it needed to sustain a living society for deep space trips should they needed, from hydroponics, to labs, to life support, even just enough energy shielding and functioning engines, they wouldn't be expected to live in it forever. The cargo hull carried the supplies needed for them to construct an actual outside colony.

It was buried partially under the earth to replicate a crash landing. Everything in place, even the AI was designed to reflect their civilization, and absolutely anything both electronic or physical which would betray their true origins was eradicated, they slept. Waiting for the right time after the fall to awake.

And now, centuries later, the ship aged and rusted with a log detailing how they were attacked and downed by satelites and weapons, from a civlized planet, the first few of them awake. Soaked in cyrofluid, and in bewilderment at the state of their ship.

Nice, we got space as a option now. Any thing I come up with will be lacking though. To much dead space.

>>33061704
We had a few good ideas last time with power armor. Maybe we can add to it.

>>33061994
O yeah this idea was a god one.
I know most of us want a civ. But I think to would be cool doing an adventure group that builds to a civ. I was thinking of an Idea that we would be playing early paladins. A group of people who go around helping how they can and taking jobs to aid people. As they do this they build there Rep and numbers growing into a civ. I wanted to see about making them about redemption. Maybe end up making a sanctuary that takes in all kind. In the hopes that they can redeem the people of their past actions and show the world ghouls, mutants, humans and hell even bandits can work together. Maybe even finding a Government Remnant item to aid in this. Something that makes talking with other races easier and slowly unlocks the good in people.
>>
>>33062525
That's a good one right there too, wish I weren't on my phone so I could add onto it.
>>
>>33062525
We could be some sort of Paladins Hospitaller, with an emphasis on healing and helping but still knowing how to fight.

And like the nurses of the Outcast civ, we could benefit greatly from powerful friends we help.
>>
>>33061994
>>33062012
>>33062018
I for one approve of the possibility of AI Hal

>I'm afraid I can't let you do that, Anon
>>
>>33062683
I was thinking a similar thing with all the people we help getting to where we are. Survivors could give as good knowledge of the idea and factions. Tribals we would learn from their warfare and that would help our small numbers.

But a nice hospital would be a good start for a base. Some kind of heavy duty one like the outcast nurses. The hospital food would be bland, But healthy. Research tools for finding new cures, But they would be lacking in truly good ones like a think-tank would have. Maybe even a make shift training yard for fighters. ... hm. I guess it could be a rundown pre-fall hospital that was used in war times. We slowly build it up to be a fully working place.

Then as people come we can start to build a camp and one day a small city.
>>
>>33062841
Sounds nice, gonna have a hard time with vile forces unless they pledge to accept redemption. If only to satiate the Paladin community at large.

Pray we encounter no exterminators.

I wonder if an urban civ would be good for thay
>>

>>
>>33063112
Very true.

Yeah, but maybe we well have a understanding. With this being a test or something.

Any game change news regarding RESOURCES.

Resources are based on now several factors they no longer key in with MYSTERY.

Terrain and region will affect resources.
High Bandit and civ density will decrease resources.
High monster and zombie will increase resources.
Mystery stat will still affect resources.
Timeline will affect it as well.

So there is NO separate stat for resources or materials instead you will have to make educated guesses.

Anyway need some fucking votes.

Population mechanics is still making me its bitch same with larger scale civs thus this one will be smaller scale.

>>
>>33067748
I agree that it is the most fluffed.

I was thinking we try an adventer stlye one to build the fluff up as we go. But I guess the paladin idea would be a bit hard to do.
>>
>>33067293
Started off as former military and private elements who used their skills to survive. They have multiple origins mostly broken remnants from private armies, PMCs, military, and even a few militia/personnel elements. What united them was survival by using their skills to take what they need.

Perhaps if their original groups hadn't fallen these ragged survivor gangs wouldn't have had to unite and raid.

How these odd gangs made up with each other was they were once a bunch of scattered roaming gangs not doing so well. Problem is they didn't exactly trust each other but...they were running low on needed supplies including critically needed armaments.

Fortunately there was a nearby abandoned base that they decided to hit together. They all needed what was in it and if they put aside their differences the chance for success was much greater. After conquering it they realized what a nice place they had and when they worked together they could do a lot more thus put aside their differences.

>>33067704
Yeah I will give up on the paladins for today. On words to a new world.

>Expedition
>>
>>33068510
Keep working on them though, it's always a good idea to refine and tinker on what may possibly be the next civ.
>>
>>33068536
I will, Just want to put my focus on the new civ.

There as been times I wanted to make a few pages of work. But I believe that would be to much unneeded things. Like how their schools work or things that changed because one person thought it was a good idea to go left at that one turn. Which lead them to a swamp filled to the brim with would be call a horror movies play land.

But I think we do best when we work to bring life to civs as a group. But it's hard to write fluff that fits every ones taste.

Take the bridge of a futuristic space vessel, the captains chair in the center, blinking monitors and consoles, a great screen in the front of the room. Now add several hundred years of dust and paint decay, and the silence of centuries.

The reign of this quiet, was shattered by the soft hiss of sliding doors, and then footsteps.

“Any sign of the Captain?”

“Negative, sir. We're still unsure of where his Cryochamber is.”

“Mr. Bryan, get onto that console and give me a status report of the ship. Miss Ayla, give me an updated ship log. Boot up AI HAL.”

“On it sir”

“Sir, I'm attempting to boot up HAL, now. Ship log indicates we must have been shot down around the Gamma sector by a Type 2 Civilization, AI HAL was unable to avoid. Collision occurred. . .[Redacted] Hundred Years ago!?”

“That long? Why were we not awakened?”

“Sir, AI Hal was knocked out during the crisis, timed limit engaged instead. The rest of the crew are going to awake soon unless we choose to intervene.”

“Damn, Mr. Bryan, how fast can we get the ship operational again?”

“Ship is at 0% flight capability sir, there's damage to the hull, engines have suffered major malfunction, worse than I've ever seen, 80% of the superstructure is buried underground.”

“By the gods. Looks like we're stuck here.”

1st Mate Lt. Hawker slumped down into his dusty chair on the bridge, and took in the situation on a whole. They were stranded on an alien planet, with no chance of recovery in any forseeable timeframe.

The Lieutenant sighed, and spoke up. “Have the medical staff awake first, and prepare the rest of the crew. Ladies and gentlemen, we have work to do.”

For sections offline all our space capability is utterly wrecked beyond any hope of recovery. While auxillary life support systems are offline. A few of our holds were also compromised during the emergency landing.

Work on a more larger biofuel generator so we can use the local flora around the canyon rivers to generate more biofuel

Give hawser 2 Resources, food, and water and tell her to do what she does best, explore and have an adventure. Go and meet these other humans the locals informed us on their chip. Be sure to bring her universal translator, as well as the map function on her suit so when she comes back we'll have a a detail of the surrounding area.

No idea, and as much as I love these threads I hope we don't overdo it.

The main reason I thought to keep them up was to see if we can get more people into it.

Yeah, I didn't think Genie would want to run this back to back a whole lot. But this is good time to fluff the civ and get ideas on what we want to do with it.
>>
>>33095485

It ought to be a big boon, for keeping it up over the weekend.

Then again, seeing as the Guanyin went from psi-affinity to the level just under "Psi Gods" I wouldn't blame him for cutting back on the boons.
>>
>>33098146
We did have a lot of buffs and rolls that got us to it. But even with all the power we lacked control ... So close.

With this civ I'm hoping we can rebuild the world. We may be here for exploring. But if we never find the other teams we will need to take up there mission. Do the job that we came here to do and make sure it was all for not.
>>
>>33098285

Yeah, there's this nasty Catch-22 where if we don't acquire power fast enough we get rolfstomped, but if we acquire it fast enough not to get roflstomped we suffer because it happened too fast and we have little control.

Oh, also why did no one ask what the Abomination was doing to the AI, who the people having firefights in the depths of the base were, and what the Abomination's relationship to the psi-crystal was?
>>
>>33098621
I think more often than not. People kind of shut down win a civ dies, granted this is how I feel. So we take a breather and by the time we can ask it's a little late to ask or we pick it up on our own.

I believe IT was trying to keep things running, probably something made to keep the psi crystal at bay. Fire fight people guardians or the robots coming back online.

Be these are only my guesses.

:: Executive Officer ::
“Lt. Johnathan Hawker”
Gender - Male
Age - 33
Commission Summary: Exhibits above average leadership and decision making skills.
Biography:
Born to moderately wealthy middle class parents, as a young adult, Johnathan Hawker sought out a career in the military to find purpose and a stable life. Not most ambitious or famous student to achieve a subcommand rank from the Academy, his leadership skills nevertheless deserve a degree of commendation. Though his forte proved to be organizing crew members to achieve goals and tasks, he sought to be proficient in every field of study the Academy could offer, in order to be able to fit into any role presented to him, be it helmsman, tactical command, security, engineering, or science. It was his desire to understand the duties of those around him and under his command and thus be more capable of leading and assisting them.

Always desiring to take and give advice in order to do his duty to the finest, he is by no means, a pushover or doormat. When need be, he is more than capable of making decisions and putting his foot down where he has the power to, for the greater good of the ship and the mission. He may not have what it truly takes to be a captain, but in the absence of one, you'll be hard pressed to find any better.

“Bryan McElroy”
Gender - Male
Age - 29
Commission Summary: Excellent degree of ship technical savvy and advanced engineering knowledge.
Biography: Born to somewhat lower class merchants, his parents ran and lived in a cargo hauler. He grew up with them, learning how to repair and maintain his parents ship. When he grew old enough, they had saved as much of their money as they could to send him to the Academy. From there, he sought to use every bit of hardworked money his parents had given to him to become the best engineer he could be, and to that end he stayed true. You will scarce find a man more dedicated to his job, and could spend a lifetime searching for anyone as knowledgeable concerning vehicle and architectural knowledge.

:: Operations Manager ::
Ayla Suzanna
Gender - Female
Age - 24
Commission Summary: Displayed high aptitude in ship resource organization, general science, and excellent computer and AI interface. Has an innate understanding of programming and ship vitals.
Biography:
Ayla Suzanna was born to business manager father and a scientist and computer programmer mother. Following in her parents footsteps and expectations, she joined the Academy and set herself down a path to become an Operations Manager. She showed great promise in being able to most efficiently allocate ship resources, whether it be crew member duties or redirecting the power grid to respond to damage and battle needs, as well as having an understanding of the ships programming and software, becoming the youngest Operations Manager in Academy history, though some suspect this may be to her fathers influence, it is not a position exactly undeserved.

Taking cold logical approach to her duties, she can still be caught offguard when faced with issues unrelated to her duties or she is not prepared to face and hides her shyness under a mask of reservedness and stoicism. Still, she will never falter or think twice when given a task that is expected of her, and you won't be unrewarded.

:: Chief Tactical Officer ::
“Zimmer Phearson”
Gender - Male
Age - 27
Commission Summary: Passed and exceeded tactical and strategic combat simulations including ship to ship, fighter aviation combat, and ground force organization.
Biography:

Zimmer Phearson attended the Federacy Military Academy a young adult, supposedly at his parents insistence, where he gained notoriety through high degrees of success and savant in simulated war scenarios, achieving a perfect victory ratio with no defeats, even so far as to surpass and exceed what was calculated as possible by computer simulation, often earning additional objectives not even in the scenario. There he also gained much infamy for his less venerated qualities. Although he sought superiority in tactical and strategic leadership over his peers, he was by no means a perfectionist. Indeed the only reason he ever put great effort into anything was by treating it as a personal competition either against other Cadets or to beat his previous records of success. He reprogrammed the combat simulations into a multiplayer Real Time Strategy game, which although it had the unintended effect of boosting combat prowess among the entire Academy, was seen as a point of unprofessionalism and disregard to standards by senior authority.

>con't
>>
>>33107308
He would often come into points of conflict during lessons and lectures of strategic training, and was known to throw away the tactical guidebook given to cadets, claiming that “to be a great tactical commander, you've got to disregard all the other great tactical commanders who were probably bored to tears making this book anyway.” He believed every situation was unique, and demanded its own solution and the most important trait of a good tactical leader was to be able to make the right decision, and find the simplest, easiest, and best solution. Instead he wrote his own guidebook, which unlike the rigid and strict manuals, was more of a general yet effective and concrete book of “tips and suggestions” for a more wider range of scenarios not even accounted or expected in the Academy books. The Academy regarded this as laziness and extreme disrespect of tradition.

His grade point average also severely suffered through his lack of desire to even so much as pass any other classes unrelated to warfare and strategy.

In all, his graduation was brought both sighs of relief and much irk, as the mark he left was like a slap to the face of the academy and it's dogmas. They were quick to get him into a position best suited for his skills, and out of their hair.

“Butch Hale”
Gender - Male
Age - 38
Commission Summary: Excellent understanding of close infantry combat and tactics and ship security and boarding. Noted for large physical stature and prowess.
Biography: His father was a hard yet caring military man, who died in honorable combat leaving behind a an aging widowed wife and her only son to care for her. He did not have the luxury to stay in childhood for long, striving to fill in the gap in the family his father left behind to fend for his mother and home. His father was a large man, but held nothing to his son who reached well above 6 feet in height and muscles which could rival a horse or a bear. Like father like son, he joined the academy and sought a job military and would've stayed there if the pay for a Security Officer and job benefits on an expedition weren't better. Ensuring his mother was well cared for until she passed away, he remained in his position as a Security Officer as it was the life he knew for so long. A veteran of several expeditionary tours, he's seen and fought aliens and human enemies alike, and knows how to hold a ship in his hands, if even to his last breath.

Man, maybe we should've chosen to straight up play these guys in space? Genie could probably make a great space civ game.

Still, it's gonna be a fun civ I feel it.
>>

Here's a thought. Our end game goal will be to set up a stable colony/city that can survive without us, rig up the ship with actual engines, and then turn this into a REAL space civ!

Sorta like what we did with bloodsnow, except hopefully we don't all die again.

I've read over and over Genie's words yesterday, and by god. . .I'm taking that shit to heart.

Blast every single rule we've learned. These guys are gonna have balls of adamantium. They're going to actually be SPACE HERO'S, and we're going to make them into if not badasses, crazy sons of a bitches.

If we show some balls, Genie says that's the key to the glories of the past.

I want to see this civ grow from small to big.

I don't WANT to be impressed by a reaver with a puny supertank, I want to be impressed by our Behemoth or Mobile fortress. I want to be able to churn out 3 supertanks a turn if we wanted to.

I don't WANT to be in command of hundreds or thousands, but TENS of thousands.

I don't WANT the next basic action to be 500 people. I WANT it to be 2500 people.

I don't WANT one or two basic actions, but FOUR basic actions a PRODUCTION move AND A HERO MOVE.

To that end I will fluff and fight tooth and nail to make it happen, and if Genie wants a people with balls, by god we'll give it to him.

We're gonna battle the evil Syndicate leader, send starfighters through the trenches and canyons to blow up the enemy base with a lucky torpedo shot, we're gonna be fucking Space Heroes.

We're gonna totally not to any of this and die like rats, but I don't care.

In Genies own words: "The potential losses don't mean shit compared to what happens if you have some success with a plan requiring balls."

It seems to me like our biggest boon is our disintegrator technology.

We have the tech ability, let's upsize one of these things. Disintegrator cannons, slap them on our land speeders to make short work of difficult terrain.

Enemy walls in the way of precious loot?
Disintegrated.

Monsters in the trees?
Disintegrate the damned tree.

The potential is endless.
>>
>>33114913
Remember though, Adero tends to suffer from narrow minded thinking by focusing too much on one type of equipment. The more avenues we visit and excell ourselves in, the better.

We also have our Power Armor and shield technology to be upgraded, as well as much more potential for other actual sci-fi stuff like Starfighters and flight tech.

You know, we've never had a real honest to goodness airforce of fighters in any of these civs, we ought to try it out with these guys.

Unfortunately our production skills are lacking. We have the science skills, but no factory. That leads me to believe that we will have to outsource our star fighters, which kinda defeats the purpose.

Alright, I think we should start planning for the civ in the immediate timeframe.

First, we contact the other pure humans. We don't put that off anymore than we need to.

Second, I say we work on Biofuel generators till we can make High Quality in a small amount or low quality in a near endless amount. We have the technology to understand them, and all we need is the biofuel to produce more which we might be able to get from our allies. Biofuel is also an important and defacto trading currency.

Beyond that we should map out the surrounding area. We might be able to do this during a scavenging run to kill two birds with one stone.

Actualy, if we keep getting fucked over by a lack of food and water, farms and water supply come first.
I suggest we contact the other pure humans about the rules of purity, I'm concerned the crops we might harvest from the contaminated soil could potentially mutate us slightly or decrease our purity values.

Dead space esque could either fit Brood(because their evil like that) or some other nanite plague strain mutagen.

But seriously though if you think the planet is fucked up you ain't seen the shit that is lurking above in SPHESS. Where you have...just a lot of fucked up shit.

Gigantic battlefields still being haunted by seemingly hulked craft who still play a deadly game.

Giant plooms of life that explode...die only to be recycled again to create another ploom.

Where hanging in orbit one can find trashed installations as well as probes and sattelites desperately fighting amongst the debris to stay alive...avoiding what may lurk there.

Space stations still cling desperately to life even as they are slowly overtaken.

Where cold machines continue to work endlessly in the void harvesting and building...only for no one to come to pick it up.

Where rogue terraforming craft go berserk twisting old worlds and creating new.

Where there are clouds of nanites that consume everything that dares enter their midst.

Where defense installations desperately fight to turn the tide even as they slowly go dark.

Sphess is a mighty interesting place in this setting and one your best off avoiding.

Our mission for finding resources...well. We failed miserably as in we couldn't find squat even more so our scavengers claimed they couldn't hardly get anywhere without tripping over some group or another. Made it a real pain and much of the area is pretty much stripped clean. At least that is in easy reach and can be determined 'safe.'

Alright choppers sent out identified the other 4 nearby factions within our close vicinity.

Discovered
1 group who seems established in a nomadic ramshackle vehicle caravan. They seemed rather negative and used to being on the move. There also seems to be plenty of them.

Another group we noticed seemed to have formed a fortified township in some ruins. Its regularly patrolled and fiercely guarded by its...rather poorly equipped troops.

Another faction we noticed seems to be based at what appears to be a facility of some kind. We noticed lights and regular activity going on within.

another group we noticed is based at an old cathedral like structure a former masterpiece of the old world albeit rather decayed and appears to now be a bastion for this group. They seemed to be quite industrious and armed.

we missed earlier seems to be based out of a former prison. They are in good number and seemed rather experienced for combat.

It seems our primary mission of exploration is already Borked, due to our ships unfortunate condition. What good is exploration if we can't report our findings back to our home planet.

The way I see it, our new primary objective is to
>contact our home planet for new objectives.

Secondary objectives include as always:

>acquire valuable or exotic goods

>exchange "culture" with planets residents

Get money, fuck bitches, in that order.
>>
>>33135044
Actually, in the event an exploration is unable to report back to Federacy, goal switches to habitation and potential colonization.

Though the federacy has no specific law disallowing it, I'm wondering if we should or shouldn't keep our genetic purity. We might be better off waiting till we meet the other pure humans.

Purity is an impossible thing to aquire, an easy thing to lose, and a valuable thing to have

Next we ether try to trade with the tribes (Bring food and water this time. ) or we walk up with a small party for talks to the other groups.

>>
>>33136021
It was pretty much guaranteed by the fact that we were sending out Choppers and Infantry, otherwise what was the point we might as well have had them stay home just sent out a blanket radio message from the base.

In fact, there wouldn't be a point in choosing which of the other factions to contact since the base radio would just beacon it out to all of them anyway. We specially targeted bases with short range radios by the forces we sent.

>>
>>33136122

All our explorers have been trained in the academy in art of speaking to new and exotic sentient lifeforms, and how to act honorably as a representative of the Federacy.

it's not the individual average factions that worry us. Since when are those ever a problem?

All right I say we use Supply to get our food and water back up again. Then we join in battle or do you think this is two bandits fighting? Either way I still think it will be nice to have some allies.

I have the bad feeling that these are normal/not bandit people living in the prison and trying wipe out bandits in the foritified facility because that's something Genie would do

HAL any way for us to judge these two parties fighting and deem which one would be more hostile or Good people?
>>
>>33137477
Yeah, I'm working on battle plans to either attack these guys or defend them.

At least let us figure out who we want to be on our side.

"...well many of the groups we found here if they were able tended to set up farms and such to help feed themselves the prison was the only one lacking in that regard where humanoid life was detected nor were they nomads. Raider lifestyle is a possibility considering the general lack of trade at said prison.

But they could be people in a bad spot ... Dam but the weak die and the strong get stronger.

I guess it's time we should join battle.

>>33137508
Well I will leave it to you then.

But we should set a new thread soon, Unless Genie wish to end it when this one drops.

So be it. We attack the attackers, and defend the defenders.

If I were them and they were me, I would likely set up a perimeter defense guard to watch the back or the flanks. Check for those first with the scanners, then quickly eliminate them with quiet and quick troop ambushes.

Having blinded them, the skies are cleared, proceed to have our choppers take our best fighters and put them directly under the command of Security Chief Hale.

He will lead them in defense where they will have to hold their ground in entrenched positions behind the enemy, make us of quick chopper reinforcements and strafing runs, until the main body of our force arrives on foot.

We will then charge forward crush them between our forces and the walls of the foritifed town, and clear them out of it, where Hale will lead our troops in how close quarters combat is done.

When moving forward and your squad members shield is depleted, move forward and advance and let yours take the brunt of the fire. When your shield is depleted, he will have recharged or someone behind him will move up forward.

Fire and advance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2dE74RiFqA

When defending, use the same tactic except, not moving forward of course.

May we stay strong in these hard times of exploring.

>Eliminate enemy perimeter watch quick and quiet
>Drop in Hale and our best fighters to hold the line until our troops arrive. Use air support.
>Push forward, use fire and advance tactics, and crush them between our two forces
>clean out the city in close combat under Hale's direction
