Hail /tg/, I bring you something my friend and I have created for the CWC forums - a DRYH-style horror game that is set in CWCville, with pcs being the citizens who have become aware that something is wrong with the city.

To those who don't know who Chris-chan is - http://www.sonichu.com/cwcki/Christian_Weston_Chandler

Will describe the setting in the posts below.
>>
So it's about people slipping into The Autistic City from the safety of The City Neuronormative after going for a week without washing or leaving their rooms?

So the game is set in CWCville - a town where Christian is the mayor and rules the place with his Sonichu/Rosechu.

The citizens are normal people, only they seem dazed and usually unresponsive. Nobody seems to pay any attention to the monsters Chris calls the Rainbow six, nobody reacts to the weird nonsensical rules, like the ban of pickles, or that having a girlfriend is against the law. Everyone follows the rules, but occasionally some people realize that there's something very wrong with the city, something in them snaps and they try to escape from this nightmare...

Unlike DRYH, this isn't set in dreams. The town is controlled by Magi-chan, who ingluences everyone with his telepathy. Chris-chan, though he is mayor is actually used by Magi-chan as a form of battery. As long as Chris-chan is miserable, Magi-chan feeds on his emotions. He is also a closet gay and with his ability to observe everyone in the city, he sometimes enjoys watching particular citizens, before they are killed.

The stats are the same is in DRYH - You pick your Madness power and pick some sort of mundane ability. If you Crash into Slumber, game over. The jar of Despair has been renamed into Jar of Autism.

Chris-chan acts the same as in the comics and in real life. He doesn't realize that the real power behind the town is Magi-chan.

not quite, you'll see
>>
I used the system to run a one-off Madoka Magica game (which I like to think of as "Don't Lose Your Hope"). Didn't even have to change much except for renaming "Mandess" "Despair", "Discipline" "Hope" and "Pain" "Suffering" (of course).

Magi-chan is also the reason the pcs have supernatural powers, being exposed to telepathy and all sorts of weird stuff.
The Chaotic combo are the enforcers of the laws and each is some sort of horrible monster responsible for a certain type of vice that is forbidden in CWCville.

Angelica - all males are required to "recycle" when masturbating, so as not to waste their unborn children. Angelica, the servant of God will make sure you do that. She forces the lawbreakers to drink their own semen. After that small white tentacle grow out of their bodies - they are now possessed by the "children" and are loyal servants of Angelica.
"After drinking the foul concoction, you'll feel a horrible, squirming feeling inside your stomach. You'll feel something wriggling all over your skin. Pain will shoot through your body as hundreds of small white tendrils burst out of you. Fully conscious, you will no longer be in control of your own body. The Unborn Children are in control now, and they serve Angelica's dark purpose" - my friend's description

Punchy - if you're a girl who shows no interest in Chris, Punchy will come for you. This one's a bit bare description-wise, but he will beat to death those girls who have not given Chris the chine he is entitled to.
>>
>>33062682
Nice! I'll have to use that sometime. What do you call Exhaustion?
>>
File: Bubbles.jpg (24 KB, 298x318)

24 KB JPG
>>33062776
Bubbles - we had trouble coming up with stuff for her, since she's got the least amount of personality. In the end it struck me that this kind of absence of personality is perfect for a brainwasher.

Bubbles doesn't appear to be dangerous at first. She's sweet, a bit absent-minded, you notice some flies buzzing around her but she pays no attention to them. She tags along with you, talking to you, agreeing with you, spending time with you.. after a while you start agreeing with what she's saying. Maybe she's right and the mayor isn't that bad and if you're a girl, well, maybe you should give Chris a chance, after all, he's such a nice and caring person...

And you're lost. Not only are you now brainwashed, you have also been infected with the scabie flies, since Bubbles is a water-type after all. You stop paying attention to them after a while. All that will matter is what Bubbles wants from you. In the end, you die from the disase and become the carrior of the flies. This is why Chris can never get laid - the girls Bubble brings are either dead/dying or are so brainwashed that Chris is not interested in them (they are Slow in the Minds)
>>
>>33062868
Simonla - having a girlfriend is illegal in CWCville and Simonla will make sure everyone is following the rules.

Because she has a drill, I mostly drew inspiration from Junji Ito's Uzumaki horror manga. As soon as Simonla starts getting closer, everything around will start spiraling. The grass will shape as small spirals, there might be small gusts of whirlwinds, the water will have spiral patterns, if you look at your watch, the arrows will turn in spirals. And then she strikes from under the ground with the drill. If you try to escape, you will find that you are going in spirals as well. If you're unlucky, your whole body will be twisted into a spiral.

Punchy - forgot to mention that Punchy has a dojo where he has matches. Everyone is required to attend and the opponents are randomly chosen from hapless citizens. The match ends with the death of the Punchy's opponent.

Rosechu - she goes after those who slander Chris-chan and mock him. When provoked, she turns into a giant hulking monster with a pickle. She then pickles the offender to death while channeling electricity.

Wild - hunts those who smokes tobacky. He has the ability to breath into a person and fill his lungs with smoke, choking them. He also controls vines and is able to bring the entire building down with them. And he spouts random access humour, of course.
>>
>>33062964
You have to do something about the Simonla saga or whatever the Christorians named it (when Chris was told to kill her off and had... issues with the idea)

Sonichu - Sonichu is the center of it all. His presence is felt only on the "Sonichu Day" - an annual celebration of Sonichu and our wonderful mayor. This is the only day when escape from the city is possible. On the night of Sonichu Day, Sonichu goes out of the city to bring more new citizens to the city, since the old ones rarely survive for too long.

A couple of days before the Sonichu Day, citizens are starting to act weird. Nobody quite knows what's wrong (and with the constant telepathy, no one remembers things for too long), but everyone feels on the instinctive level, that something BAD is approaching. There seems to be more static, more electricity, everyone is more and more on edge.

When the day comes...ALL MUST LOVE FATHER! LOVE FATHER! KILL THE TROLLS! The world turns on itself. Suspicion is rampant. Even "safe" places are no longer safe.

And in the middle of this maelstrom of chaos and despair is a yellow-furred figure, sharp-toothed smile a little too wide, his constantly-changing body proportions masking his true appearance.
If you lose to Sonichu, pick a color and a crappy power - you are turned into a new ORIGINAL character.

He is the source of all that is wrong with CWCville. On the Sonichu Day, even Magi-Chan himself trembles.

Those who tried to save the city have fallen. Mary Lee Walsh was crushed and her jerkops were brainwashed by Bubbles. Some of them still survive, shambling husks full of water... and flies.

I dunno if we will, what we made right now seems to work perfectly as a fucked up town controlled by the horrors Chris created (or did he?)

>>33063081
The pcs start 3 days before the Sonichu Day. They all choose a reason why Chris would hate them (they don't "recycle", the have a gf, they mock the mayor, etc). They all started with a small prelude as to how they were pursued by the designated monster and now have to find a way to escape and survive.

To those who are interested to see this in action - http://cwckiforums.com/threads/dont-zap-to-the-extreme-an-interactive-horror-experience.3978/
My friend started the thread and he's running the game there. They already have the players, but it's an interesting read, that's for sure.
>>
>>33063138
... I am strangely interested in trying this game. It sound like a fun time.
>>
>>33063162
It is pretty fun. I think this all stemmed from us wanting to run a one-shot where a player plays as Panda Lee trying to escape Chris, who is a True Fae, before he kidnaps you and takes you to Arcadia to make you his sweetheart. Clyde Cash was supposed to be a rival True Fae who wanted to kidnap you too.

Sounds terrifying.
Hope it's IRL so you can make up a nice atmosphere in the room too.
>>
>>33063313
Well I'd be interested in playing sometime if possible. I've even already come up with an idea for a character!
>>
>>33063354
I wish, but no. We don't have enough IRL friends who know about Chris-chan, so it's all done on the CWCwiki forums, see >>33063138
>>33063362
I don't know if he will run another game, but you could try contacting him on the forums
>>
I'm glad to live in a world where CWC exists.
>>
>>33062671
>having a girlfriend is against the law
So, what, do you hit 30, decide to marry the first woman who walks by and act like nothing happened?
>>
>>33063416
The new citizens are brought from the outside. So Sonichu might snag an already married couple and now they live in CWCville and everything is great.
>>
>>33063372
Im in if you're taking players.
I'll also contact my friend since he's a big christorian.
>>
>>33063138
>They all choose a reason why Chris would hate them
Is being a better-looking guy a reason?
>>
Ok, so I did not expect that, but apparently I'm getting people who are interested in playing.

But because I'm not registered on the CWCviki forums, we need somewhere else (because it takes time to be allowed to post there).

So - anyone knows good PbP forums? The reason I'm not doing this live is because of ridiculous time zones (I'm in Japan and most people here are from Murrica)
>>
>>33063480
I would suggest this website, it's great for this kind of thing.
http://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/forums/quests.29/
>>
>>33063475
Could be, though for the first time we gave players a set of reasons to choose from, since the creatures are tailored to that.
>>
>>33063489
Do they have a dice roller there?
>>
>>33063524
Yes, yes they do! :D
>>
>>33063530
Ok, if nobody will suggest anything else, I'll look into it. Thanks for the link. I will be here for a couple more hours, then it's time for me to go ot sleep. When I wake up, the thread will most likely be dead, so those who are interested in playing, drop me an email
>>
>>33063081
Okay, heres the big question. How does one win? By escaping CWC? Because I know that players will not just leave. They need closure.
>>
>>33063565
Escaping, yes. The mechanics are based on DRYH, so the good end is escaping the town. The bad end can be anything, from becoming one of the monsters, to replacing Chris-chan.
Since it's a horror game, you won't really be able to punch everyone into the oblivion, most of the stuff will be stronger than you.
>>
>>33063590
Escape sounds jolly good and all, but what would happen, now this is just an example here... Someone managed to kill Chris Chan, under some circumstance or another?
>>
>>33063590
What would happen if say, some one killed off Chris? Would the monsters die? also, by powerless, do you mean Amnesia powerless or Call Of Cthulhu powerless?
>>
>>33063611
>>33063622
I will be a tease and say "I guess you'll have to find out", considering that we have people interested in playing in this thread, it would be no fun to tell you everything.

As for powerless, not quite. I guess I should've explained it a bit better - in DRYH you can be the most powerful thing in the game. But using that power too much can result in you going mad. That's why you have to carefully measure what you want to do - go overboard too many times and you're lost.
>>
>>33063664
Aahh, that clears things up a bit. And damn you for being a tease!
>>
This seems pretty interesting, any chance of providing some fluff for CWCVille in this game? Not that the comics bothered fleshing it out but right now it seems like some Orwellian dystopia.

I thought Punchy was the master of random access humour
>>
>>33063682
Different guy, but if you killed chris, magi-chan would be powerless, and then you can take out the most powerful of the abominations. after that, a rebellion could be sparked on Sonichu Day while the man himself is gone. It wouldn't last long, but you might have been able to kill two or three more by the time they're shoveling your corpses off the street.
>>
>>33068572
I personally think a CoC approach would be better. Like, if you fight Cthulu and manage to win out, it's coming back after a coffee break and he's going to be at full strength and pissed off.
>>
>>33068617
I dunno, something about the kind of hopelessness where you know you're going to all die, so you might as well die hard is intriguing to me.
>>
>>33068672
I get where you're coming from and I feel you, but I don't think PCs should be a position to fend off the most powerful being. Maybe influence their actions in some way or impede them, but not outright defeat.
>>
>>33068706
You can probably influence CWC himself if you manage to get to his office/McDonald's/the arcade, but Chris is super paranoid over internet trolls. The slightest thing could set him off.

And I doubt he'd be pleasant to fight, if it came down to it.
>>
>>33068997
Who knows, we might get fucked in the face with the power of Guitar Hero rock and poor photoshop skills.
>>
This sounds depressing. I'd rather run a campaign based on Moon Pals.
>>
>>33069028
The town is in his image, so it's safe to say he's a high tier reality warper, albeit limited in the CWC area.

He'd likely only change things relating to his own being, but directly fighting him would be next to impossible. Like, you ever go to a freeform forum, and see players whining and bullshitting convenient new powers? It'd be like fighting that, but you can't do anything back.
>>
>>33069178
If you had a chain of events that either impede this ability or convince him to do something that would work in the PCs favor then this would be a more hopeful campaign. Now i'm not saying this would be something that happens every time you run Call of the Chris-Chan, but all I'm saying is it should be an option for DMs to consider. Even Lovecraft wrote at least one story where the good guy wins...And one about cats, but that's neither here nor there.
>>
>>33069248
The most fascinating thing about Chris's fantasies is not the parts where he's all-powerful but the parts where he's victimized. Even in a fantasy world made to cater to his every need, he still has to play the victim. He has an emotional need to be victimized because the only positive experiences he's had are from doting, coddling parents and gal-pals who only paid attention to him out of pity. Every time he's tried to be an independent person, it blows up in his face. This has taught him to only get what he wants through whining and submission. So even if Chris were a god, he'd still be defeatable because he's self-defeating.
>>
Note to self, modify the WMD scenario from Paranoia for this. This is some good shit, Pandora.
>>
>>33069591
Exactly! A adamant enough PC would be willing to risk insanity at the cost of being that force that gets Chris to take a knee on his own accord.
>>
>>33069591
He might have a victim complex, but he's still not necessarily defeatable. Remember that issue at the end where he just goes and tortures/murders all his enemies?
What this means is he could handwave the PCs away if he wanted to, but then rationalize it as if he were the victim in the situation.
>>
>>33069680
The people he kills might return to life if he doesn't stop feeling persecuted by them. And he's actually tried to retcon that issue and bring them back to life in order to please one of his fake internet girlfriends.
>>
>>33069754
That's potentially one of the most disturbing things I've read on this site.
>>
>>33070153
Chris-chan sure is a wonderful individual to learn about

So, are these citizen escapees gonna team up with the jerk-ops and Mary Lee Walsh, Clyde cash, Surf Shack Tito, and others from '4cent garbage'?
Also, you forgot to mention Chrissies lack of understanding when it comes to technology, like how he poured a 'anti-gay' vaccine down cwcvilles well to cure the gays.
>>
>>33071833
An anti-gay vaccine made from his own blood. In the future. To cure the gays, of course.
>>
>>33071896
If he brought the vaccine back, wouldn't he never have to make it?
Does this mean time travel in the CWC-verse works on the alternate timeline theory?
Has Chris ever thought to make a Crisis on Infinite CWCvilles storyline?
>>
>>33072337
>Has Chris ever thought-
Well there's your first problem, anon. Go ahead and go to the CWCwiki and read up on this tripe. It just might be the most pitiful thing you ever read on the internet.
>>
>>33072337
Chris just wanted to assure himself IRL that he would never be turned gay. So he wrote a story where he used his own blood to create an anti-gay vaccine that he then applied to himself. It didn't occur to him that he's already full of his own blood anyway.
>>
>>33072337
Chris sees reality that way anyway. He believes that anything that anyone writes about him and his characters is real. So when trolls blackmailed him into declaring on video that the mayor of Cwcville was Billy Mays, he felt the need to rescind the order within the pages of his comics.
>>
>>33062572
God dammit OP stop making me want to actually play this train wreck..
I even have a rough idea for a powerset also.

Madness: In The End
I don't know when they first started coming around, but definitely showed up in force once I called Chris a Faggot. Who am I talking about? The Endermen of course. little guys made of blocks of shadow and Darkness. I can command them, sorta, to take 'blocks' of material and place them someplace else. Just gotta make sure I keep wearing my pumpkin helm, can't look directly at them after all.

Mundane: To many hours in Minecraft.
I can't even begin to talk about how much time i've wasted playing that damn game, but my experience in it does give me an edge when it comes to directing my Endermen to build something...or take something apart.

>cross-inserting minecraft into the Sonichu universe
