>Week 1- Day 1- Night 1People die when they are killed, so I guess I must be lucky that I haven't died yet. Tiredly, I pant, leaning against the wall of the roof stairs. Looking back down, I sigh in relief. I lost them, I think. Wincing in pain, I reach down to check the bite on my leg, and think back... ====== I had stayed late, like usual, to help clean up more. I've always been good at fixing things, and when one of the teachers asked me to help repair a vending machine, well... When I finally looked up from tinkering, it had gotten dark. A glance at my watch showed it was well past the curfew -she- had set, after those students vanished, so... I hurriedly packed away the tools I was using, and moved the machine back to where it belongs.. Jogging through the halls of Homurahara Academy, I stopped as I caught sight of a pair of odd figures outside of the door. One, a boy, roughly my age, from his height and outline--even from here I can tell he's wearing the same uniform I am--a student. The other is a bit shorter, in a plain outfit that hides their body shape. A high-school girl in a coat, maybe? Or someone else? They seemed to hear my footsteps, and both turned to face the hall, probably looking for me. The shorter one gestures towards me, and their companion nods, moving as though to open the door. ....But... He bends over, seemingly in pain, as his companion turns around and starts walking away. ...Is he okay? I drew closer, looking at the now-kneeling form in worry. His arms warp, and sprout limbs of their own before falling off- I could barely process the absurdity of it before you hear the sound of dogs howling, and a clatter of glass. (1/2)
>>33069569(2/2)Before my eyes, a student's arms had sprouted a pair of dogs. Lunging through the glass doors, the animals shot forwards, making a beeline towards me. I'm not proud that I ran. My reflexes saved me, and by the time they're past the glass, I was already moving. Heart pounding as I fled for my life, I ducked inside an empty classroom, closing the door and breathing heavily. Moments passed, and I fumbled for my phone. Someone- anyone- might be able to help me. Tell me what to do. How to live through this. There was a crack as the wood door shattered, and jaws clamped down on my leg painfully. I could feel warmth flow down to my foot, before kicking the 'dog' in the face, and starting off again, while it was stunned. 'What are these things?' I thought, making my way to the roof for at least a clear view. ============...That's right. That's why I'm up here. I shake my head, lurching over to the chain link fence. A glance down at the yard shows more of those 'dogs' prowling, circling the perimeter inside the wall. ...I have a few options. My phone's still here, and I can see some leftover fence posts from the repairs last week. The injury will slow me down, but not completely incapacitate me. Barking comes from down the stairs. They seem to have found me. I- >Grab a pole and charge down the stairs recklessly>Try and force the roof door closed, and bar it. >>33069589Grab a pole and charge down the stairs CAREFULLY! I have an injured leg but a reach weapon in a narrow environ is a good option. Furthermore having the roof to my back gives me another door and the option of jumping afterwards.

>>33070698Hmm. Unknown student's dog hands reminds me of Nrsvqr Chaos, though I can't recall if it was only him that was able to do it or if other vampires could do it as well. I remember Arceucid could fuse part of a crocodile to herself (or shiki, depending on choices) but dunno if she could send out animals too.The student uniform is odd. It either means the one with the vampire-esque powers is a student (and thus probably a master, assuming there are still servants and servants are still summoned, instead of finding a powerful being somewhere and throwing a pokeball at it), the vampiroid has taken on a disguise, or the vampiroid has transferred some of its abilities.
>Jump off the roofI run to the side of the roof closest to the gym. The trees growing by the walkway can break my fall, hopefully. By the time my feet are over the top of the chain-link, I hear the baying of those dogs, and a pair of them burst onto the roof. I glance down, and breath a sigh of relief. The trees are exceptionally full, for this early in the year. As one of the hounds slams up against the fence, I kick off, hoping that the-...The fall was faster than I expected. I shake my head, turning and pulling myself somewhat upright in the tree. Aside from a few sore spots, I don't think I'm that injured. Looking down at the ground, it seems clear, and there's a straight run to the gates. I hear a slight buzz from my pocket. My cellphone's ringing... Pulling it out. it's a call from... Her. >Speakerphone, run for it. I shudder, thinking about the lecture I'm going to be getting, and flip open my phone."Hey mom." I say quietly. "I'm... Sort of in trouble right now." There's a moment of silence, before she replies. "Alright then." Her somewhat accented voice comes through the earpiece. "I'll go pick you up then, Shirouling~. Where are you? I'll be right there."I pause for a moment. Of course she'll want to pick me up. "...The school. There's some wild dogs running around the yard, and I'm gonna make a break for the gate, and run towards the old park." I sigh. There's no stopping her. "Please drive carefully." "I always do!" She says, and I hear the phone click off. Oh god she's going to drive normally. I shake my head, and slip my phone back into my pocket. Time to run for it. Lowering myself, I glance around carefully. Nothing towards the gym, and the door into the school itself seems secure. I run, heart pounding. I hear a baying as I get halfway across, but keep moving, aiming to climb up the gate at full speed. As I get halfway over, I feel the metal rattle. Looking down, I kick the dog trying to follow me in the face, pushing off to flip over and to a three-pointed landing. If that student wants to kill me, he'll probably be opening the gate to let them through soon enough... ...After a few minutes of running, I'm panting as I move across the park. Howling in the distance reminds me of my pursuit, and I look around, listening carefully...There's a rustle in the bushes behind me, and I see the student from earlier step out. (1/2)
>>33072106(2/2)"And that's where you wind up, huh?" He says in a cocky tone, stretching somewhat. "Figured you'd give up eventually."...I don't know who he is, but he's giving off an odd feeling. Like he's not... Human. Like he doesn't belong in this world. "So how about you give up? You've seen way too much to live, after all." He shakes his head. Then what he was doing at the school, if we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, try to get him monologuing or gloating.

>Question him!"Why? What do I have to die for?" I ask, shaking my head and shifting to a more guarded positioning. "What even are you?" His eyes gleam as he begins to laugh."Ah, what the hell. You're gonna be dead soon enough anyway." He says, looking at me. "Tell me, fake janitor."Then he is student, not just someone masquerading as one? "Have you ever had a wish you really wanted to come true?" He asks. He waves his arms, gesturing around the park. "Something unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but that you wanted with all your heart?"...I do. To be a Hero. To save everyone, like the old man and mom did for me.But hell if I'm going to tell him that. He seems to notice the look in my eyes, and nods. "I did. Ten years ago, during the fire, I had only one wish as I escaped my family's house."!? He... Survived the catastrophe too? "I had completely forgotten about it until last month, when I realized I could 'call' these good boys." He squats down, petting one of the dogs. "Then she came to me, and told me what it was, and why..."He sighs, standing back up. ... The dogs around me twitch, and I strain my ears. It's... It's her car, sounding like she drives it normally. Motor, screech of tires and breaks, everything. She's close."As for why I'm gonna kill you... You know who I am, now. You know about my pets." He shakes his head. "Nothing personal, but I don't want the fallout of you letting this info loose. Not until everything's done, and we can have our wishes. "I glance around again. The ones behind me seem to tense. I only need a few more minutes... "Why? What is your wish? Why not ask me for help?" I ask, bracing to dodge. "I've seen you, Emiya." He spits. "You only want to help others. We're doing all this for our own gain. Those disappearances have been our doing." "...I see." I manage to utter. "You've kidnapped others, for your own ends."He laughs. (1/3)
>>33073795"Killed, you fool. Each of them, drained of their lives to power our wishes." I go silent for a moment as I process this. The sound of mom's car gets closer and closer, as I make my choice. "...Then I have to stop you." I say finally, shaking my head. "I can't let you keep harming people, for your own selfish desires." He looks at me as though I had grown a second head, and I smile."I don't have to feel bad about not warning you, either." I say, watching his confused expression. That's when the sound of something crashing through the underbrush is finally audible to the both of us. He cranes his neck, looking around, as his hounds do so to. Mom's car bursts through the treeline, slamming over a number of the surrounding dogs and skidding to a stop next to me. "Shirouling~!" She says, opening the driver's door and standing up. My adoptive mother- Irisveil von Einzbern- is as she always is. Her white hair stretches down her back, while her oddly red eyes look around the park critically. She turns to face the still stunned student, and I realize that I haven't seen that cold of an expression on her face ever before. "I think I see what happened." She says in a sharper tone than normal, shaking her head. "Well, Shirou, I suppose we'll need to have a talk when we get home.""Mom. He says he's one of the ones responsible for the disappearances lately." I say, looking over at her. She seems to tense up, and glares at him more. "I have to stop him."(2/3)
>>33073874(3/3)There's silence for a moment, and she nods as the student and his dogs finally recover."Yeah, you do Shirouling." She says, tone going back to the usual. "How are you planning on doing that?"....I hadn't thought of that. "I have no idea." I say, shaking my head, as she sighs, turning around and- Whipping her arm out, silver wire jetting into the car for a second, returning to her hand with a small card. "I thought that something like this might happen." She says, holding it out to me. "Here you go."I look at it, and can feel... Power flowing through it. "Use that to fight him. Don't hold back, and don't worry about me." Mom finishes, shrugging and going to sit down in her car. It's hard, and doesn't really taste like anything. "You need to 'Install' it, Shirouling." Mom says from her seat. "Just hold it out before you, and imagine a 'trigger' of some sort being pulled, or activated. Whatever works best for you to think of."...Yes, this is her, alright. Exactly as clear as usual. I sigh, doing what she says- the image of a sword unsheathing itself springs to mind quickly, and I can feel the card pulse with power. "[Install]!" I yell, and the card merges into me. There's a flash of light around my body, and I look down. The yelps of the hounds around me, along with the cursing of the student don't fail to register. ....My clothes have changed. My school uniform had vanished, replaced by a white and blue raglan sleeved shirt, and durable looking blue pants. Parameters appear before me, visible to only myself. Evidently, this form's strong points are its magical power and 'Noble Phantasm', along with its Luck. Endurance and agility aren't far after, and strength itself trails behind.I can feel white-hot power flowing through my body, though. My arms and hands burn, and my mind... >Project- 12!I grasp the air with both hands, catching barely formed hilts as I start to move. The dogs howl, and rush towards me, jaws open to bite. Dashing forwards, I swing, white and black blades forming as they cut through one of the dogs that leapt into the air. It lets out a yelp, and then dissipates into black smoke. I see the student wince in pain. So, these things dying hurts him? I slash again, and again, feeling the false swords in my hands weaken with each strike and rattle. After a half dozen of the dogs vanish around me, I'm finally facing the flinching student, damaged swords in my hands. Closer to him, I can make out his face more clearly... He's definitely someone from the class next to mine. I can't place his name, but... >Throwing your sword always works!I fling the white sword at the student with my left hand, noting the perfect spin on it as it arcs towards the student.Taking your attention off him, I turn and swing down the remaining, black sword with both hands, cutting through a lone dog and moving onto the next. There's a yell of pain behind me, and whistling, but I keep moving forwards, slashing another beast as the whistling grows louder. Ducking near instinctually, I watch as one more dog is dissipated by the white sword, now spinning around in the air in front of me. The few remaining yelp, and break for the sides of the park. Turning around, I feel my projected swords finally 'wear off', vanishing. When I look to where the other student was, he's missing...I hear clapping from the car, and my mother walks up behind me."Great work, Shirouling, even though he got away!" She says, nodding and smiling happily. "Now, you're... Probably going to collapse from exhaustion in a minute. Would you mind moving to the car, first?"...She gestures at the Mercedes, as I look at her in confusion."Welllll...That card was more designed for a magus to use it... And since you're untrained, you're probably going to run out of energy pretty soon. So I want to have you in the car before you pass out." Mom shrugs. "I'll explain more in the morning, since you're going to be out like a light."I shrug, and take a few steps towards the car to humor her, before I feel the 'Class Card'... Separate from me, landing in my hand. Everything goes black, and I feel myself falling forwards...>Day 1, Night 1, end.
