/tg/ - Traditional Games

Your name is Kraken. A past his prime Sentry who has spent the last 2000 years avoiding the Great War due to ideological disagreements. Basically, you see the Autobots and Decepticons as a bunch of dumb young punks.

Now those punks are in your neighborhood.

With the aid of a old and rusted soldier and a broke noble, your gonna bend some fenders.

-----------------
With a steady stride and a scowl you move down a long corridor stained yellow with age. Gyro lithe form runs along upfront, checking open doors with her pistol and energy buckler at the ready. Behind you you hear the stomping quick-march of Copper trying to keep up. His stubby form was not built for speed and he kept turning around to fire a few rifle shots down the hall to discourage pursuit.

You look through open doors as you pass and see nothing but refuse, scrap and rubble in everyone. Once in a while on looks like it may have been inhabited; a rusted energon converter, spare parts to use for repair, furniture.

Who ever had been here was gone now. They fled as word spread of fires and explosions, squatters moving in en masse, an exodus of the lost and forsaken.

In your arms is one such individual. A skeletal bot covered in grime and rusted through in parts, the faint light green paint you can see in parts only adding to the wasted look. You had found the junky as he sat mind numb to the world, lost in a simulated bliss.

Up ahead, Gyro ducks into a room. Following her you see she has found a hole in the ceiling to the upper floor and motions towards it.

"We should jump up there, maybe lose those Cons."

You think for a moment, the junky shifting slightly in your grip, when a rumbling sound draws your attention. Turning towards the door you see Copper in alt mode, a small round domed tank with verdigrised copper plating roar past. Just past your door his cannon booms and an RPG goes flying back the way he came.

Judging by the distance of the following explosion the Cons were a ways away.

>Pass the junky to Gyro, tell her to go upstairs and try to meet up down at the end.

Gyro huffs exhaust in exasperation.

"You cover my back." you say then dash out, Gyro not far behind. Down the hall you see Copper halt he rearward advance with a screech, only now noticing you are behind him.

You pass several rooms before you hear gunfire from behind. Evidently none coming very close but you here a couple static sounding crackles as Gyros' buckler deflects the straighter shots.

"What'er ye doin' back there?" Copper asks.

Instead of replying you vault the diminutive tank and keep running.

"Get a move on old timer!" Gyro yells as she follows suit.

"Ol'timer?!" he yell indignantly, firing another shot down the hall and resuming his retreat. A single shot bouncing harmlessly off his armor.

There's still a ways to go do you

Tie vote, but easily solved.

"Anyone have any ideas." you call back.

"Run!" Gyro yells from right behind you.

"AH say we STAND AN' DELIVER!" Copper yells, reversing his reversal and charging back towards the enemy. A shot pings off his armor, another slamming dead on but does next to nothing. His cannon booms out a shot that takes part of a wall and whatever scrap-brained
Decepticon hiding behind it.

With a grunt you wheel about, kick a door down and toss the junky in. Gyro catches the door frame to stop her momentum, spins around and runs back, screaming in fury and firing her pistol at the attackers.

>Time to draw your pistol and follow suit.
>Use Gyro as cover to get closer to the Cons and beat the energon out of them.

You sprint as fast as your old legs will go, not quite as fast as Gyro but you aren't losing her.
Scowl firmly in place you try to keep your larger frame in behind the taller bot to avoid shots incoming fire.

It works for half the distance, until the Cons bring some heavier fire power to play. Her shield can hand most small and medium arms fire, but the incoming beam was well outside her weight class, forcing her to tuck and roll underneath.

Prime in Fall Of Cybertron says it's been going on for eons, an eon is a million years, eons implies a minimum of two, so the cybertronian civil war has bee going for at least 2 million years. Add to that the 65 million years the Ark and Nemesis crews were in stasis on Earth.

Sure, if we're doing detective stuff sharktopus is a big negative. But fighting? It's a pure positive.
>>
>>33078474

Oh yes, our alt mode is a goddamn combat monster, no doubt. There might need to be an ENG cost to convert into our alt-mode, as a balance factor.
>>
>>33078356
I'm trying to keep the time frame of Cybertronians ridiculous without being downright silly. The Ark crashes on earth well after the dinosaurs died but before humanity evolved from apes.

Also I am tired and need to consult my notes more add a zero to each of those ages

The battle between Autobots and Decepticon has been wage for eons, having started shortly after they drove the Quintessons away after their Million year occupation. This occured roughly 20 Million years ago, at the end of the Cybertronian Golden age. The Silver Age lasted from then up until the Great War.
>>
>>33078557
And we were around before? Because a detective has no real place in a war. Except maybe counter-intel, but meh.
>>
>>33078603
There would be plenty of call for gumshoes in the golden or silver ages. The Great War is still relatively new.
>>
>>33078356
>an eon is a million years
Eons are not usually defined as being a specific amount of time, with the exception of when talking about geological time, and then it's a billion years, not a million.

Also, what is the universe this is taking place in? Cartoon, movie, Marvel, IDW?

To be fair our combat monster form isn't nearly as good as a land based one. Heavy firepower, like the one that we just dodged would hurt alot.
The guys we have fought so far are also base goons without abilities. When we fight the other classed characters there will be opposing rolls. Honestly we have a weird loadout but we make it work.
--------------------------------

You dive towards the corner where the wall and floor meet, transforming as you go and continue to rush onward on a wave of tentacles. Before you stands a brute of a Con, almost as tall as you and certainly bulkier with that cannon and power pack on his back. You here a crash from the side, probably Copper who had swerved though a door to avoid the blast. Gyro turns her roll into a sprint, pistol shots pinging of the Brutes armor.

>Teleport behind the Brute and attack.
>Teleport behind the Brute and ensnare him.
>Teleport into one of the adjacent rooms and attack the Cons in hiding.
>Attack head on.
>Move into an adjacent room.

>>

We definitely fall into a lightning bruiser archetype. Hits hard, hits fast, but isn't good at soaking hits. That's Copper's job, it looks like.

>Roll 20 success

The Brute is facing you now, large purple frame looming above your coiled form. With a rumbling growl you launch yourself forward and between his legs, your dorsal fin slicing one leg as you bite into the other. You pull yourself through and strip his thigh of casing as your toothy grip does not lessen. The Brute pitches forward and falls. He is quickly dispatched as you reach around and twist his head off.

Looking up from your kill you see Gyro sitting on an offlined Con, covered in oil.

She nods behind you and says "Ol' rusty is stuck under some wall. Gonna need a hand."

"No injuries? You're both in one piece?"

"Yeah, just dirty as a Junkion."

"Good." you say with relief and clamber over some rubble to where Copper is.

"There ye'are! See ye been gorging again, now ye know it's bad t'over eat, gotta pace the mas-ti-catin'."
