[]Reinforce

“I know what I shall call her. Your name will be Reinforce.” you declare.

“Unusual but practical. Ok suit up and go out there.” Ms Foss responds.

You start to climb into the Maeve. Quite different compared to the Morgan, where the Morgan felt more like armor, the Maeve flows more over you with very little in the way of restrictions on movement.

<Is everything fitted correctly?> Reinforce asks you.

“Yes everything is fine. We've been at this too long. Time to go kick some British ass.” you respond. You push the engines to full power and it take off with more speed that you imagined. This is going fast and you like it.

“Oh so you didn't run away.” Cecilia says with that prideful tone.

>“I know what I shall call her. Your name will be Reinforce.” you declare.
Period at the end of dialogue, abruptly switching between characters spoken to without any indication.

>Ok suit up and go out there.” Ms Foss responds.
Awful dialogue flow, and mispunctuated again.

>You start to climb into the Maeve. Quite different compared to the Morgan, where the Morgan felt more like armor, the Maeve flows more over you with very little in the way of restrictions on movement.

Better, but probably just because there were less ways to fuck this one up. It's still a run on and flows awfully. A simple fix would be replacing the comma after 'compared to the Morgan,' with a perior, and starting the rest as its own sentence.

>“Yes everything is fine. We've been at this too long. Time to go kick some British ass.” you respond.

The only time you end a dialogue with a period is if it ends the paragraph. If there are following words, use a comma. Exclamation marks and question marks also work. But never a period.

>“Oh so you didn't run away.” Cecilia says with that prideful tone.

Same problem. Shitty flow too.

OP, is English not your first language? If not, that's okay, we can work with this. If it is, you're an illiterate fuckwit and need to fix your shit. Your story is painful to read on a purely technical level. Read your dialogue aloud to yourself. If you stop to take a breath or for flow, put a comma there. Punctuate the end of dialogue properly. Avoid run-on sentences.

tl;dr you suck at writing on a purely technical level, fix this or go back to ff.net.

“Let's have a good match Cecilia. We should be examples to the rest of the student body” you respond coolly, trying to ignore the stadium full of people below you watching your every move.

“Oh yes, that is right. It is befitting of our station after all.” she responds with a slight flustered tone.

“Alright John, you are up against Blue Tears from BAE. This is the IS the United Kingdom has decided to support as their next gen IS, a unit that favors long ranged combat. The exact ability of the One-off has something do to with remote control but no solid evidence yet.” you hear Walken over the Intercom.

After what seems like an hour the buzzer finally rings to announce the start of the match.

Our strength is our flexibility, it allows us to target the enemy's weaknesses. Blue Tears is a sniping IS, so we should get right up in it's face and punch it to death.
This also means our biggest challenge may well be Char in the Rafale Revive Custom II, seeing how it's an all-rounder.

[]Sniping duel, nothing beats American firepower

Knowing that American firepower is second to none. Cecilia has the same idea but her moves are so obvious. Maneuvering to her right while deploying Fragarch, you fire just to spoil her aim. She misses but so do you, just not as much

<How would you like me to support you.>

[]Defensive. Focus on enemy movements and attack patterns so you can avoid Cecilia's attacks.

“Focus on Cecilia's firing patterns and how she moves. Best not to get hit.” you say as you dodge her laser fire.

<Understood. Displaying projected cones of fire on the Augmented Reality HUD.>

As soon as Reinforce says that you can see a ghostly cone line up with Cecilia's laser rifle. Using this you weave in and out of her fire being able to return fire with near impunity.

“Tch. Maybe you are better than I thought.” you hear Cecilia say over the intercom.

A bit worried you look over to your shield display. Only 85% remaining but she should be worse off than you are. Thinking over on if you should change strategy you notice that the cones of fire starting to increase.

“Hmm focusing too much on dancing to my Blue Tears? I think I should increase the tempo.” Cecilia says with a haughty tone.

<Enemy drones detected. Recommend changing to Gram.>

[]Switch to Gram for more rapid fire power

While Fragarch is good it's still a bit unwieldy. Sure you can dodge Cecilia's lasers most of the time but each hit is problematic You opt to go more mobile and switch to Gram. This lets you flit in between the laser fire much with much more grace as your center of gravity is no longer thrown off by Fragarch, even if you are closer to Cecilia's position. This increase in mobility lets you start pulling off some of those crazy maneuvers you came up with. Like theone where you change your internal gravity field to purposely change your orientation to make hits into near misses. You follow that up by returning fire parallel to the laser resulting in all four of the bits being destroyed as well as several solid hits on Cecilia's shield.

“Cecilia even if your soul isn't weighted down by gravity, it's still hurt by tungsten sabots.” you retort in between your fire.

“Let's see you dodge this.” you hear from Cecilia, now with desperation in her voice. That would have been a hollow threat if it wasn't for several missile being fired from her hip IS pylons.

Now should you focus on the intercepting the missiles or ignoring them and getting close. Shields are only down to 80% remaining so you should be fine, you think.

[]Missile interception

Not wanting to take any risks, you opt for missile interception. Cecilia is still firing but it is become more erratic. That is not a good sign. Missile are easy enough to dodge on the first pass and Gram takes out them out in one hit. But the problem is that the missiles continue to track after misses and Cecilia's laser fire is starting to be harder to dodge resulting in more near misses. Eventually you take out all the missiles while only being hit by the shrapnel of the close detonations of the missiles that you intercepted too close to yourself.

“What how! How did you dodge all that with barely a scratch. How?” Cecilia is in utter shock. “I am the Candidate Rep for Britian. I am an elite.”

[]Ask for her surrender

“Cecilia surrender and let us end this duel.” you ask her.

“No, I cannot accept that. Not only will my pride not accept that but I also cannot accept that offer, thank you though. But you are right about one thing. When faced with superior firepower once must become unconventional.” she responds while beginning her charge at you. But instead of her trying to hit you with her laser fire she purposely misses you. Intent on restricting your movement. Getting closer she fires missiles again.

<Melee combat warning>

Having to intercept the missiles means she is able to get in closer than what you are use to. And she does trying her hardest to hit with a little blue knife. She is able to get a couple of decent hits since you have to use Gram to give you enough time to deploy Caladbolg left handed. And with an inelegant stroke the fight is over as Blue Tear's shields hit zero. The match bell rings but is downed out by the cheers and screams of the crowd. Crap you forgot about that.
>>
>>33120426
We can fire from collapsed mode, but it's less effective.
