We are the Cult. Our name? Our name is not important, yet.

Today is the first day in our step towards bigger and better future ruled by the jungle and build on the bones and blood of our enemies. With our allies, the Paramilitary and their Bandit elements, this part of the world world will hear our silent fury.

By the way thinking one of the reasons we are allied is to trade food and water for training or something.

Remember our 5 bonuses friends:

5 BONUSES:
1. HYBRID ZEALOTS

2. One with the Plants - Absolute control and manipulation of all plant life within our Jungle. If we want it, the very vines and roots shall leap from the ground to ensare great beasts or vehicles and crush the blood and vitals from them. If we wish to mold or mutate them, they will be pliant in our grasp.

3. Blood Harvest - Blood empowers our plant allies. The more blood we kill, be it from monsters, or humans, or even the black sludge within the ghoul and zombie, the more powerful our plants become and this compounds overtime. With each corpse fed to the forest, our forest grows in size and strength. And most of all, they can absorb the DNA of the blood of the fallen to mutate should we wish it.

And if we sacrifice our own, a HUGE surge of power. Use it wisely and with care.

4. Soul Steal - Every sentient organic we kill or torment, we gain soul power and magic. From long and slow torments in torture farms that seep the soul slowly overtime, to be fed and given life anew, to quick and glorious sacrifices on the battlefield and on the altar

5. Objects of Power - we also know how to imbue objects with the power of the jungle and soul, granting them increased power in the presence of greenery and giving the wielders the ability to burn souls of the slain to summon aid from the jungle (no matter the distance) if we have given them permission to use these weapons. If we don't give them permission then the handles of guns and insides of armor will constantly feel as if covered in thorns.

There is even rumor that if our own forces use these weapons, they can draw some of their own blood in order to temporarily drive the spirits bound in the weapons into a frenzy, turning our warriors into vine-covered avatars of the jungle and death.

SPA 5 Spec Grenade launchers
SPA 5 Spec Assault Auto Shotguns
SPA 5 Spec Sidearms
SPA 5 Spec SMGs
SPA 5 Mono Blades Arsenal(don't ask)

>If we wish to mold or mutate them, they will be pliant in our grasp.

Is quite different from what is stated before and thus now allowed.

>And most of all, they can absorb the DNA of the blood of the fallen to mutate should we wish it.

Same problem as before different enough from what is before to not be allowed.

I will however allow the sacrifice of your own which will allow much more power then usual.

4 soul steal is okay.

5 Imbueing objects with the power of jungle is okay but soul is separate thus not allowed. Everything else as well isn't okay.

REMEMBER A BONUS OFFERS A SINGULAR BONUS.

Trying to stuff more then one thing under a bonus isn't okay.

As it offers a SINGLE bonus you can't squeeze out more then that. Hence the multiple boons.

On the other hand, if we're making a farm in a jungle then we're either doing slash-and-burn or (more likely, seeing as it was super easy for us to make our farm) using our power to will the jungle out of space it would otherwise occupy. A hydroponics facility, on the other hand, is nice and compact and within our facility's borders anyway.

It's also just a fluff thing for me, I just like idea of a bigass hydroponics facility that actually works.

I think it would be best to do both. When I visited indonesia recently, the mountain farmers practiced agriculture mostly by harvesting plants that didn't benefit them and encouraging those that did. A kind of slow transformation towards making their environment suit them.
Let's definitely not do slash and burn, there are surely a lot of potentially useful species we'd overlook.

uh.

well.

bandits are kicking some major ass apparently.

As for you when we went over the materials they brought with them we found info on a certain ceremony known as 'attuning' when used grants...something odd. Be warned however as if the wrong subject is used the ritual will fail you have to find someone that fits the criteria. Luckily we have one such as that among us. An odd fellow known as Marlow seems to fit the qualifications. Still need to get the materials though.

Acquired Ritual of Plant Sense and Ceremony of Atonement.

I will also reexamine the whole "imprinted brain" thing, probably scrap the whole thing for a "badassbanditprotocals.exe" or something.

also the whole bit you reviled about materials being better than resources...im going to try and mix that in.
>>

>>33210106
Materials are god tier compared to the general 'slop' that is resources. Think about everything related to resources is basically an ass ton of jury rigging to work and constant compensation as things will vary constantly not to mention slow things down. Its not easy but doable and quality will certainly suffer hence why 'pre fall' materials were valued so goddamn highly because they were still made from pure materials.

Megacorp industrial equipment is special in the post apoc as its capable of breaking down resources, recycle, and synthesize it to treat it as a material before re processing and usage in terms of effectiveness for their industry. This doesn't mean you can't use actual materials which will only serve to add additional bonuses.

Hence if a megacorp can keep itself intact they can churn out an ungodly amount of goods as they have means to. Granted its not 'quite' up to Pre Fall standards but it is literally the next best thing. Only noteworthy exception belongs to the Think Tanks but that is only true in regards to their specialization. Bots too to a degree are capable of churning out volumes of goods but lack the sheer raw power of megacorp production and processing.

One thing you will notice is stuff that seems pretty 'standardized' more then likely comes from a megacorp who churned it out.

While if say you find something that isn't shoddy and is among the less 'savory' elements good bet bots made it.

Look at it this way forces of 'dark' include bandits, bots, and mutants as a standard. While cultists, hot headed zealots, and particularly odd tribals form the 'grey' and everyone else is 'white'.

Vile elements are those who fall even farther below then 'dark' and their opposite is the exalted.

Vile members include ghouls, reavers, zombies, depraved cultists, depraved bandits, ect.

Exalted include paladins, charitable, Good Guys, ect.

Well correction bots are about loosely comparable at churning out to megacorps but they lack to the refining and processing raw power that megacorps possess. But on the plus side the bots are not nearly so fragile as squashy meatbags and can getaway with normally hazardous quite easily which helps make up for it not to mention mind numbingly boring and or repetitive tasks doesn't bother them either. So robotic manufacturing brings all new meaning to the concept of 'hazardous' workplace and manufacturing line. Not to mention not needing to rest, sleep, and other annoyances that the living suffer.

Bots also are the only ones who will regularly willing to deal with the less savory types hence why you will often see their goods among them and their goods are noteworthy due to not being quite so shoddy or crude as you'll otherwise likely see.

Bandits actually kinda 'like' bots'. When I say like i mean bandits don't really consider fighting them worth the effort due to being tough sons of bitches, hazardous bases, and decent trade partners.

Truth be told bandits find its not typically worth picking a fight with the bots as they view picking a fight with mutants.

Not usually worth it and if you do so anyways best go all out also bring hazard suits and especially potent guns while attempting to blockade them then go in for the kill. Really not worth the effort as by the time you get there...well ain't exactly gonna be much left to loot also hazardous environment is the norm for them.

For the most part bandits are too lazy for it just as they are when it comes to dealing with mutants hence partly why you'll notice bots preferring to deal with them and mutants over the more 'savory' groups.

savory groups naturally distrust the tin cans especially considering the company they prefer to keep.

as birds of a feather flock together as they say.
>>
>>33210764
All the info you just gave Genie helps a lot. Now we have a good idea on how to get the robots working better and how some factions work.

We could so start with a robot base flooded with radiation as a defense. May draw some ghouls, but with time we could set up trade and make a vile pack with them or something. Then with robots made to poor radiation we could clear whole areas for resources.
>>
Rolled 96

>>33210952
Radioactive robots? That's all kinds of win, mind if I steal that idea?
>>
Rolled 84

>>33210764
Seriously though bandits don't like tackling mutants OR bots because of how much of a MASSIVE pain in the ass it is and how little reward they will likely look forward to in the end.

Anyone else though is for the most part fair game.

Funnily enough people tend to think this is because they are 'friends' or 'allies'.

They aren't. Hell none of them even like each other but considering the common problems that plague each of them it serves to somewhat unite them.

For the bots this means using trading with each thanks to their actually 'good' manufacturing.

Mutants and bandits for the most part avoid each other with some mild trading with stuff they can't get from bots(aka stuff flesh bags need).

Bandits like to use mutants to access hazardous areas and use bots for their manufacturing.

Mutants use bandits for trade and bots for trade. They also kinda like bots because they can deal with them in 'safe' areas where most can't normally access makes it much better for them.

bots deal with both for trade with mutants though they like them a bit more due to not being quite so 'squishy'.

A swapping point between bots and mutants is guaranteed to be quite hazardous.

A common trade format for them all is using mutants as a middleman to either access the especially hazardous and trade with the bandits for stuff they then can take back to the bots allowing the bots to avoid the non hazard areas which is less safe.

Basically mutants make AMAZING middlemen for the trio.

Mostly because both bandits and bots prefer dealing with mutants over the other while they themselves have their own special stuff.

Be aware diplo penalties still exist but so too do preferences.

>>33210952
radiation is actually surprisingly bad for bots while they aren't quite as fragile as humans are to it they can't endure a whole lot of it without proper modification it fries them. So radiation resistance wise they are somewhere between humans and mutants without modification.
>>
>>33211169
Yeah fine with me I'm just throwing ideas out. Make sure they are moded to handle it well. I think there is a germ that eats radiation and we could use lead on some parts.
>>
Rolled 97

>>33211194
Still though bots basically laugh at 'lethal' levels of radiation the only reason it causes them trouble is its hazardous to their electronics.

Mutants meanwhile giggle when bots start to have problems.

Humans stand there basically having a 'your a bunch of assholes' moment.

One thing you need to understand is that in general bandits are pretty lazy and don't like to spend effort for little reward.

Because of their lifestyle and who they normally deal with they tend to know things other 'good' factions are ignorant off.

Basically fucking with mutants or bots is on the bottom of their to do list. They would rather tackle paramilitary forces over it on the reg even.

Sadly other factions don't realize this and will frequently pick a fight with them. How it ends is hard to say either way they sure as hell ain't walking away intact.

Bandits meanwhile will sit on the side lines laughing at them, eating popcorn, and making the occasional pot shot.

The ghoulbot 9000, designed to cannibalize vehicles, other robots, and just about any other processed metals.

They have port on their underside that excretes molten metal. This process is possible because the nuclear reactor that powers them generates a Ton of extra heat and radiation. Another side effect of this is that they breath fire and are generally irradiated.

What we ask is that you build us a Temple, and inside this temple, a great pit of plant flesh and teeth, and a pool of acid and blood, a /reclamation pool/.

This will be where we sacrifice blood and body directly into the maw of the Jungle, to feed it, to give back to it, to nurter it. And in time, it's roots will go deep, all-around and vines above, that below we are protected from the horrors by thorned roots, and above the vines will protect us

You have at our disposal the gardening tools, the plant samples, the materials and resources, and if there is somethjing else we lack that you suggest we could get, say it and we shall seek it.

Ron the Scientist who connected into our compounds waste and water facility ran them through a facility allowing recycling which he then piped to different areas depending on the outcome.

CRIT FAILED SACRIFICE

BECAUSE I AM TOO LAZY TO REWRITE EVERYTHING.

When we attempted to initiate a sacrifice something went wrong as the jungle not only rejected the sacrifice but was also angered by it.

what happened is simple a spring formed at the sacrifice site but it was toxic it radiated toxins, poisons, and worst as the jungle focused on the spring to bring all the bad as punishment.

Acquired Toxic Spring
it poisons nearby plants ,making them useless to us nay harmful even and putrefies nearby water sources.
Extremely toxic in nature.

two things I'd like to get to quickly

If the prophet doesn't warn against it, I would suggest we raid the zombies protecting the plants and sacrifice them at the site of the spring, praying for guidance as we do. Perhaps the jungle will show mercy. Once we have access to the zombienip plant, we try to study its effects and build a good rapport with it.

Also, this is a bit off topic, but there's a plant we discovered a while back that "makes an interesting slurry" or somesuch. Now, if that means it produces a natural concrete or something, we might have a way of sequestering this toxic stuff. So I'd suggest we look into that plant one of these turns

I'm actually concerned about sacrificing other servants of the jungle, undead regardless.

As for the slurry, I think that was food, but this stuff turns our own plants hostile.
>>
>>33214981
me too - that's why I'm for asking the prophet whether it's a good idea or not. He should probably know, he talks to plants after all so they'd probably tell him whether the zombies are more like bodyguards or jailers

Pic isn't fitting is a overgrown city not pyramids.

Resource wise you have to look around.

>>33214117
Well our forces when they went out ran into zombies things didn't go so well to say the least. Plus side our forces got away but now the zombies are interested in us around here and they be hungry.

"They are hungry? OUR GODS are hungry."

Who else wants to bait and capture some of these to appease our gods? It'd also be a good test of our current combat abilities.

>>33216520
Basic 1
Now that the zombies are interested in us, bait and capture a sizeable group of them, and then blend back into the forest before the rest catch wind of us.

Their blackened plague Ichor shall bleed and feed the jungle today, temple or no!"

Attack on the zombies works amazingly well as in there were no survivors it was amazingly effective our forces set up kill zones, ambushes, and slaughtered the zombies. They are no longer a threat.

>>33216680
Depending on pic quality.

Plus that resource was used up.

I forgot about this. It's a good reminder of were we go some times with this game.

Any ways want is our master plan for getting thru this mess? We got a Agent of Jungle coming, no resources (Unless we have some and it was never added.), poison going every where and zombies.

We can fight the zombies till we get spored to death, I do hope we have fire.

We may have a chance to talk to the Agent.

The real pain is that poison we need to study it so or get ready to move things.

I'm always in favour of learning more. We can ask our new fellows and the prophet both what it would mean and require of us. This might be several turns worth of work.

"Tell us of the ceremony of atonement fellow blessed. From your understanding, what are its effects? what is required to perform it?"

"Oh, prophet, guide your flock in this trying time. We wish to perform the ceremony of atonement, but we know not how. We know not even what will happen if we do. Does your vision tell you aught of this course of action?"

I'd vote for doing this:
>>33211718
According to this:
>>33212982
we need something 'unnatural' to succeed in making the sacrifice temple

"Prophet, might this cursed spring we woke be the unnatural think we need for our sacrifice temple?"

Ladies and gentlemen. Genie has fallen asleep.

We have, after this post, roughly 10 bumps left until tommrow so as to ensure this 100 takes effect. Goodnight, and be sure to watch out for this thread reaches page 15

Building a physical temple might be a problem without resources, but we should be able to do the consecration now at least. Do we need to vote to 'lock in' the 100?

In an effort to save this 100 until Genie comes back and notices, we have exactly, after this post, 8 bumps before the 300 mark.

If we spread out these bumps every 3 hours, we can get 24 hours of this thread left.

Please allow this anon to ensure this thread gets 1 and only 1 bump every 3 hours.

The next bump will come at approximately 12 am Eastern Time.

It is now, roughly, 12 am.

The next bump will come at approximalely 3 or 4 Pm.

The last bump. We are now at 300.

Genie if you are reading the archive please know we kept this thing alive for FOUR days just so we could be able to keep that 100 for the temple.
