You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

You and Clara scream at each other as you wrestle to the ground. After a breakfast of champions provided by Gordon, you made good on your promise to kick Clara’s ass in the morning after her little scare last night. The Japanese Girls, Gordon, and all of Clara’s cheerleaders watch with enthusiasm.

“Kick her ass, Gertrude!” yells Gordon.

You and Clara lock fingers, trying to push each other down. You both growl and grit your teeth in exertion. “Come on, Gertrude Pool!” screams Clara. “YOU CALL YOURSELF A WOMAN!?”

> “YOU CALL YOURSELF MY RIVAL?!”

“YOU CALL YOURSELF MY RIVAL!? YOU’RE NOT EVEN A MINI-BOSS!” You wail a warrior woman’s wail as you grab Clara by the hip and toss her over your head. She slams into the mud and dirt.

Gordon and the Japanese students cheer, applauding you.

You walk over to Clara, ass in the air and dazed and confused. You hold out your hand. “Come on, get up.”

Clara slaps your hand away, glaring at you. She snaps her fingers. “GIRLS!” The Cheerleaders chime in, helping Clara up, applying some bruise packs, and giving her a drink of water all in one smooth motion. Damn, you got to get yourself some of those girls. “Good fight,” she says.

Naval Studies Rescue arrives with the Dragon Wagon, managing to pull the T-34/85 out of the ditch and onto its trailer. As Clara and girls socialize with some of the Rescue students, Izumi asks you, “That Savage girl. What is she to you?”

You chuckle a bit. “Oh, her? She’s a bit of a wannabe rival of mine.”

“Really?” says Izumi.

“Well, wannabe in the sense that she was my rival for almost two years and I never even noticed her,” you say. “But, here we are. Anyway,” you check the time. You look over at one of the Naval Studies Rescue students. “Would you mind taking us to the campus?”

The NSR student grins, her eyes full of stars. “If you give me an autograph!” You bemusedly sigh, pulling a pen out. She starts unbuttoning her blouse. “Um. No.”

She huffs, pulling out a piece of paper instead. Harmless enough.

With that, you all pile aboard the Dragon Wagon and head onto school. You all sit on top of the T-34 as it sits on the trailer. The cold wind blasts in your face. This doesn’t seem like a good idea now that you’re experiencing it.

> Talk to Clara and Company

“Clara, what’s with your Cheerleaders?” you ask.

Clara smirks, looking at you in a manner so smug that she’d probably turn into some kind of politician. “Simple, I command their loyalty and respect above all others! They are my cute little girls!” She shrugs. “Plus, we all play Pool on Fridays.” She snaps her finger, and a Cheerleader immediately pulls out a cup of hot chocolate for her. She sips it. “Want some?”

You nod. “Sure!”

“Too bad. Get your own Cheerleaders,” says Clara.

You puff your cheeks angrily at her. Fucking cunt.

With that, you arrive at school in style. You all drop of the tank and onto the sidewalk, then watch as the T-34 is dragged away.

Nezumi says, “Gertrude. I must thank you for coming with us on that experience. In fact, I must also thank you for opening my eyes.”

Izumi grunts. “About time.” Assam nudges her a bit.

“It’s all you, Nezumi. I only helped you along.”

Assam says, “But we come from different-“

“Shut up, Assam-san!” says Wakuza quickly. “The point I’m making is that we’re all in this together. We will now work harder! Wakuza points to Assam. “You! I will occasionally laugh at your jokes!”

Assam smiles. “Exquisite! You know why a chicken coop has two doors?”

Wakuza blinks. “Why?”

“Because if it had four, it would be a chicken saloon.”

For the planning session, here's what I finished up for Icons.

Sadly, they're lossier than I like.

Went with the suggestion of pom poms with a bullhorn for Star.
Since Pinprick was whining about their nails, I grabbed the closeup of Sailor Moon's hand when she's transforming and gets her nails done.

Any modifications to the original icons was because I was using MSPaint and there was a lot of loss, and I needed to opaque the backrounds.

Oh, right, speaking of forests and whatnot, in most cases we won't be able to take advantage of those hills: those forests? REALLY fucking thick. I'll post two revised plans I've made. Do you guys want the simpler, more conservative and less likely to get fucked up too badly plan or the riskier, higher reward plan with a lot of moving parts?

They're good for ripping down vegetation and overgrown bushes, especially in cutting down hedgerows so that tanks don't expose themselves as they crest through. They're also good for parting small logs and small obstacles.

As for forests, they're still at the mercy of trees, especially big fallen ones.

You step into the Lecture Hall, meeting with all your crews who busily chat in their seats. Your Staff and your Officers stand at the very front, in front of a large board.

“Did you get a custom dress from Anna?” says Cathy to Clara.

“Pfffft-“ Clara giggles at her. “Giggle with me, Girls!” Her Cheerleaders giggle along with me. “Listen here, Cathy. I happen to have twenty dresses for JUST the Winter Season!”

Tabitha stares at her, confused. “Why?”

“Why not?” says Clara.

Betty nods, smiling at them. “She has a point! You have to have options! What are you wearing at the Ball?”

Clara shrugs, smiling. “Oh, something simple. Perhaps a neat little white gown with a cape or something. I consider myself a simple person!”

Cathy says, “Twenty dresses doesn’t sound simple.”

All right, so, using the elevation to our advantage isn't actually to our advantage: the forest is way too thick, and the town is fairly tall. So, we can keep it simple. Move everyone into position as follows, with Bearcat on Kate's team rushing to get eyes on and Charlotte using magic to get into town. Kate's position actually has a decent field of vision, and there's trees lining the west side of that road (Les Molieres) that can give our tanks concealment. Whoever is with Fairless (Cathy and Sam are interchangeable for this plan, really) hangs out in the forest at that three way intersection.

I want more people in the north because tanks passing through there will be harder to detect than to the south or through the city, but it can be altered as needed.

So bulldozers might be a better option...

I want Charlotte's team which will consist of the Souma- s-35 (Y), Stug III ausf F, and KV-85 to act as an independent force to pick at the enemy at their own desecration.

Seeing that the Churchill was the only one that was able to get though the forest okay might be good a main thrust, with maybe the T-34-85, Panzer IV Ausf G, Panther Ausf G,

They have decent armor and if in formation correctly should be able to keep in pace with the Churchill nicely.

Samantha's will be in charge of our marksman. which will be the Cromwell, the Chaffee, and Scott GMC.

The Scott should be able to mess with their formations while the others get potshots.

Samantha's job is to disable tank guns and tracks most importantly, if she can get a kill sure but her main job is to take out their fire power and her team can clean up.

Ace crew will take care of the heavy armament, which will be the Sentenel, the Firefly and the Hellcat

They will most likely be the reserve force in case stuff goes down

The south is completely open there.
The enemy could easily flank and get behind us.
The issue with trying to stretch ourselves out and cut the map in half is that we will be pulled thin.
It would be a better solution to control one area such as a hill with concentrated forces.

>>33231802
Where is this in the birds-eye view?
>>
>>33231799
You're not giving up on that, are you? That plan doesn't work because it's time consuming, it gives up a lot of mobility and eyes on the battlefield to Konigsberg, and it doesn't actually do anything other than have everyone group up until you can think of something better to do. We need to be able to see what the hell they're doing, and that south area is open, yes, but in the area that THEY will pass through, while there is actually quite a bit of concealment for our tanks to use.

Oh, and also that forest is really fucking thick: you wouldn't be able to triangle formation seventeen tanks there, not without getting a lot of people stuck.

>>33231844
It's pretty much an intial plan for how to begin, and I wanted Charlotte there because she will get there before everyone else. Honestly, once everyone catches up she could move out and do something else.

If a force could lead enemies on that road while tanks were set up there, the enemy tanks wouldn't be able to see them until it was too late.

>I wanted Charlotte there because she will get there before everyone else. Honestly, once everyone catches up she could move out and do something else.
Had that same thought while looking at the "string our forces along a line" plan.
I prefer Kate in the town personally because her tank is slow and is more comfortable with pavement, and Charlotte's Panther can shift south once Kate arrives.

You all stand in front of the map. Once everyone quiets down, Lisa starts off with, “Alright. The current roster for Konigsberg is thus.”

> KONIGSBERG ACADEMY ROSTER
> PANZERBEFEHLSWAGEN TIGER II (H) x 1 (ELITE)
> TIGER I x 4 (ELITE)
> TIGER II (H) x 1 (COMP. SPEC.)
> TIGER II (P) x 1 (VINTAGE)
> PANZERBEFEHLSWAGEN PANTHER x 1 (ELITE)
> PANTHER AUSF. A x 1 (ELITE)
> PANTHER AUSF. G x 1 (VINTAGE)
> PANZER IV AUSF. H x 1 (ELITE)
> PANZER IV AUSF. J x 5 (VINTAGE)
> STUG III AUSF. G x 1 (ELITE)
> STUG IV x 2 (ELITE)
> JAGDPANTHER x 1 (VINTAGE)
> JAGDTIGER x 1 (VINTAGE)
> JAGDPANZER IV/70 (V) x 1 (ELITE)
> PANZERBEFEHLSWAGEN PANZER III AUSF. K x 1 (ELITE)
> PANZERKAMPFWAGEN 38H 735(f) x 2 (VINTAGE)
> PANZERKAMPFWAGEN B-2 740(f) x 1 (VINTAGE)
> PANZERKAMPFWAGEN 35-S 739(f) x 1 (VINTAGE)

Lisa clicks through the slides, showing off several of the enemy tanks. “As you can see. They are a German team, with some of the most advanced German designs of World War II. These include the King Tiger, the Jagdtiger, the Jagdpanther, the Panzer IV, and few Command tanks. Thanks to an outside source-“

Yukari Akiyama waves at Ramirez from the crowd, drawing a few curious glances.

Lisa sighs. “Thanks to a few outside sources. We also have reason to believe that they have pooled money into buying new tanks. Stuff like this.”

The slide clicks down to a small looking tank. “The Panzer II Ausf. L, known as the Luchs. Unknown condition but an excellent tank for the ground we’ll be fighting on.”

Lisa clicks to another slide, showing off a stylized radio. “From what we can tell, one of Konigsbergs’ greatest advantages is in its coordination. This is facilitated through its numerous command tanks. The Panzerbefehlswagens, such as the King Tiger, the Panzer III, and the Panther.”

She clicks to another slide, showing a broken down tank. “However, we’re also aware that to fill out their roster, they’ve gotten their hands on a number of second-hand tanks, along with filling them with inexperienced rookies. But, make no mistake. They mean business.”

She clicks to a new slide. The battle map. Lisa says, “The Ardennes forest is infamously thick. So we need to practice caution and take it slow when we’re inside.” Lisa looks at you. “Gertrude. Do you happen to have any big plans?”

An independent force with the stug is going to be problematic.

We're better off keeping the casemate with the defence team.
>>
>>33232025
Sounds good to me. If Kate can get set up on the north east corner of the town then she'd have a commanding view of that road. The only problem would be any forces in the forest north.

I'm considering the south route to be a secondary enemy course of action because the roads central and north are much better, and the forest north provides concealment all the way to our side.

>>
>>33232239
Seeing as we've nearly unanimously voted for a tight defence, you need to start thinking of defensive tactics. A harbour area is the ultimate defensive position. If you have any other suggestions as to how we can carry out a defence, I'm open.
>>
>>33232259

That would make it part of our defence line then, where we can ambush them and make use of clio's ability.

An attacking casemate has very limited fields of fire. We should swap in the M18 or the Panzer IV with the attack team.

> “A tight defense.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnB9RrrMTqA

“A tight defense should be fine. We’ll have a small force in the South set up just ahead of the road behind the crest of the hill. In Gespunsart, we’ll have a force of tanks, I might prefer Charlotte or someone speedy for that task. And in the north, we’ll have to have a good number of tanks there too, to cover all the trails that Konigsberg could try to go by. In short, it’ll be a solid defensive line.”

Keegan says, “But what if things head south, it’ll be the Battle of the Bulge all over again.”

You say, “We retreat to fallback positions on the hill outside of town to the West. Just north of Neufmanil.”

Lisa says, “Sounds solid.”

Kate raises her hands. “Who goes where though?”

You say, “Kate, I definitely want you down in the South, you can certainly hold a flank on your own, and you might want to take two or three tanks with you. Charlotte, I want you to take the fast tanks. Me, I’ll take the remainder. As for Bernadette, she’ll stay on the hill and be protected by a rearguard of either Cathy or Samantha.”

Kate says, “You want to pick the teams now?”

> Yes (Who goes where?)
Firefly and Sentinel as heavy hitters on the two northern positions, if Kate's got south and Charlotte's got the city.

And at least one other "Critical Shot" type team to work in concert with the big guns, since we'll be taking one of the positions ourselves.
>>
>>33232300
But history teams ability is needed to act and work on their own imitative though
>>
>>33232472
I'm still going to miss my batshit insane "lure the tanks on D22 so that we can ambush the shit out of them" plan, though. I spent hours on Paint.net on that thing.
>>
>>33232496

Not exactly.

> LOYALTY QUEST COMPLETE: The Great Politics Mess Up
> Team Clio’s Loyalty is now yours!
> Through intense studying of tactics and strategy, Team Clio can pull amazing ambushes by themselves. They will ALWAYS score a critical hit when put into position to ambush a tank.

They CAN work by themselves if the have to.

But on the second bit, as long as they are in an ambush position, they will score crits. Thats all we need in the defence role, where they sit and wait for the enemy to close.
>>
>>33232502
I don't see how we couldn't work that in. If Charlotte's team gets attacked they could lure them onto D22, and we could dispatch tanks to lie in wait at the ambush point.
>>
>>33232545
Yeah, that was actually part of the plan. I was going to suggest have Cathy or Sam go off road and conceal to wait for them to come.

Honestly, the plan depended way too much on them responded correctly to us. It's better this way. It was still a hell of a lot of fun to make, though.

On a side note, we need to ask why Yukari is still here. Is she at least keeping up with schoolwork?

> I’ll let you decide.

“I’ll let you all decide. You’ll all come to me in the morning with the composition of your teams. Try and work together on this.”

All the Officers nod. They start talking shop about which crew to take into their teams.

Lisa says, “Anyway. This defense will hold, and once we find a hole in their attack. We will exploit it. And we will make a match out of it then and there.” She checks the time. “Anyway, looks like that about wraps it up for this planning session. If you have any questions, refer to me and I’ll answer it best as I can.”

You say, “And everyone. I want to say Good Luck. This is the semi-finals. Don’t let overconfidence take you. I don’t want mistakes. Let’s get on the bounce and we’ll be dining in Konigsberg tonight. You’re all dismissed.”

All the crews stand up, excitedly talking with one another.

“Hey, Yukari.” You manage to catch the Ooarai girl at the door. She turns around, smile on her face and hair fluffier than a dog out of the bath. “Exactly how long were you planning on staying here because you know, here in America, immigrants work for their living.”

Yukari says, “Oh, I was going to leave with Nishizumi-dono tonight, Pool-san.”

You nod, smiling. “Right. Hopefully you ain’t gone and leaked no information to nobody, if I’m right?”

Yukari blinks. “Um. Huh?”

“I’m just saying, it would be a real shame if you done gone and went with telling people what we went and planned, yeah?”

“Oh!” Yukari nods. “Sorry… what?”

“You don’t understand a word I’m saying, do you?”

“Nope!” she says.

Well, you can’t expect every Japanese girl to pick up on what you’re saying. Regardless, you give her a good tussle of the hair. She giggles a bit, her face melting like dog’s, then you send her on her way.

You, Fairless, the Seniors, and the Juniors all stand in one of the spare classrooms, staring at it.

Henrietta and Andrea present it with considerable enthusiasm. Henrietta says, “Behold! After hours of hard work-“ She looks at Andrea, “That only I put in.”

Andrea says, “You should have said something.”

Henrietta says, “Anyway! I HAVE MADE THIS!” She tears the sheet off to reveal it.

It is a mock up of a flag, like the old Regimental Colors of the 1860s. It is a navy blue flag, with white and red trim. You smile. “It’s hype as fuck, Henrietta. I like it!”

Claire says, “Henrietta’s going to get this through to the Sewing Club, get it made for the Pep Rally. I figure we should start getting the rest of the banners done.”

Betty nods. “Right! We have quite a few of them to do today! Hopefully we can get them done!”

By the time school is over, you did not get them all done. A whistle comes over the school intercom, indicating that Lafayette Girls Academyship has docked in Belgium. You stretch and sigh, yawning a little as you walk with the Councils out of the campus. “Wooo! Tough work today, girls!” you say.

Betty says, “Well, we will be looking forward to the dinner with Konigsberg I reckon. I’m going to enjoy German cuisine!”

Henrietta says, “What kind of food do Germans make?”

“Well, it’s mostly pork, beef, lots of poultry like chicken and turkey. They also enjoy game meat too. They braise the meat, sometimes pan-fry it, that sort of stuff. They’ve got pretty thick noodles, sauerbraten with dumplings, all kinds of herbs like parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. It’s a very interesting kind of dinner I can imagine.”

Fairless nods. “Speaking of which. What’s the dress code, Gertrude?” she asks.

Dress code?

Henrietta nods. “Yeah? What are we wearing?”

Everyone nods. “Alright. We’ll meet you by the Loading Elevator when you’re ready,” says Claire. “Get a shower because you stink harder than a Marylander.” With that, everyone says goodbye and turns to leave for their dorms.

Except for Fairless.

“Ain’t you going to go change, Bernadette?” you ask.

Fairless shrugs, looking at you as innocently as possible behind those glasses of hers. “Oh, well. I usually pack my Tankery Uniform in my bag and well. Yeah, I probably should head to my dorm.”

You say, “Come on, Bernadette. You can come over to my place and change. You shower this morning?” She nods. “Good, I just need a shower and a good change of clothes and say they in the UK, ‘Bob’s your uncle’.”

With that, you move on to your dorm. Kitten and your Staff are probably already busy changing for now, which leaves you alone with Fairless for quite some time.

Fairless awkwardly stands around your place as you get things ready for your shower. “You know, you’re welcome here. You can take a seat.”

Fairless nods violently. “Right. Alright.” She sits down.

You say, “You can start changing-“

“I’ll change while you’re in the shower,” she says.

You shrug. “M’kay.” You walk into the bathroom, whistling as you strip down and-

“You might want to close the door,” says Fairless.

You smile at her, shutting it. “Thanks, Bernadette!”

Ah, nice refreshing shower. You get changed out into your Tankery Uniform and check yourself in the mirror. Not a blemish in sight. It appears Tankery has done wonders for the messenger of puberty known as acne. Your hair though has grown quite a bit now that you pay attention to it. It reaches right past your shoulders by two or three inches. Might want to get a haircut later.

“Great!” you say. “Come on then, daylight’s burning. Let’s head on out!”

You open up the door and meet with your staff and Kitten. Kitten and Fairless exchange glances as you walk on out of the dorms and on to the loading elevator. You meet with all of your crews, whom are gathered aboard commandeered taxis and other cars. The Sewing Club in particular taxi the Freshmen in the Scout Car.

Claire says, “Our tanks have already been sent forward to the Staging Area, so sorry we can’t make a dramatic entrance.”

You smile. “It’s fine. Ain’t like we’re trying to showboat or anything.”

> Talk to Someone (Ramirez, Kitten)

As the Loading Elevator takes you towards Konigsberg, you cross your arms and smirk at Ramirez. “So, Ramirez. Looking forward to seeing your friends again?”

Ramirez sighs. “Not really.”

You nod. “Okay then.” You look over at Kitten. “How you doing, Kittycat? Ready for some German delights and what not?”

Kitten shrugs. “I suppose. I mean, I’d rather be at home playing video games. I picked up Dark Souls recently actually.”

“Oh cool!” you say. “You and me can play that!”

“Eh…” Kitten purses her lips, trying to suppress a giggle. “It’s… a bit difficult.”

“Nothing’s too difficult for Gertrude Pool!” you say. “BRING IT ON, MOTHERFUCKERS!”

Clara drops down in front of you. “OKAY!”

“Not now, Clara.”

With that, you arrive on Konigsberg. Konigsberg is more or less styled after your average German town. In fact, the campus where dinner is taking place more or less resembles a castle more than an academy. But that’s besides the point. Everyone takes pictures and in general acts like regular American tourists as you walk the streets.

Soon, you arrive at the gate, where you meet three girls in thick greatcoats and sporting REALLY NICE peaked caps.

The center one offers her hand, smiling at you. “Piper Blancbois, commander of the Konigsberg Panzerfahren unit.” She gestures to the girl on the right. “My Vice Commander, Emi Nakasuka, we call her Emi or Asuka occasionally.” Emi groans a bit, trying to look professional. Piper gestures to the girl on the left, who has a glare so intense that even Fairless looks a bit terrified at her. “And that is Helga Bayerlein, our seniormost Panzerfahren Commander and one of our current instructors.”

You shake her hand. “Gertrude Pool, LGA.”

Ah, what the fuck are you doing. You hold your arms out. “Ah, come on! How about a hug?”

Piper smiles, then wholeheartedly hugs you. Once you split, she says, “Americans! Quite friendly I see.”

You nod, gesturing to your Officers. “These are my Officers. Samantha Whitworth, Charlotte Luciano, some call her Lucky, Cathy McDowell, and Kate Knispel.”

Piper nods, crossing her arms. “Ah, I’ve heard of Miss Kate Knispel.”

“You have?” asks Kate.

“Of course! Some of the finest Aces I have seen in the sport of Panzerfahren. Your talents were wasted on small time works between Middle School rivalries,” she says. “It is quite sudden to see you on LGA actually.”

Kate shrugs. “We’ve been out of it for a while. But we’re back.”

Piper nods. “Well, come! Enough of standing out in the cold. Kursk Girls Boarding School has actually already arrived.” She points to the row of ISU tanks. One of them has a Silver Eagle painted on the side. “That one is Oryola’s tank, very good design.”

You nod. “I reckon it be.”

You all enter the building, a fine dining hall where Kursk Girls and Konigsberg girls mingle and intermeet. Piper calls to someone in Russian. A very gruff looking woman, in a dirty brown uniform and wearing a tanker helmet you’d seen in Russian war movies walks over. Piper gestures to her, then to you. “Oryola Kuznetsov. Gertrude Pool.”

Oryola brushes some dirty hair out of her eyes, then smirks at you. “So this is little Jackdaw that think it is an Eagle. It is an honor to finally meet you. Zdravstvuyte.”

Motherfucker, you spent ages straightening that hair. You feel it around. Feels like there’s some dirt in it too now.

Piper smirks. “Oryola Kuznetsov would be a valuable teacher for you, Gertrude Pool. She has been in Panzerfahren ever since she was a little girl.”

“Da!” Oryola grins, crossing her powerful arms. “Being a loader teaches you to observe!”

Piper looks over at Ramirez. “Oh, well, well, well, if it isn’t our little Latin Lady?”

Ramirez stares at Piper, trying not to look awkward. “Hi.”

“Transferred to LGA did you not?” asks Piper. Emi and Bayerlein glare at Ramirez. All Ramirez can do is hide behind Nancy and Lisa. “Oh well, I do not hold it against you. That is what I get for trying to keep our roster a secret for the tournament.”

With that, you walk around. The Dining Hall is quite picturesque. Lots of long wooden tables where sit cups of ale, water, soda, and juice, along with neat little appetizers. You pick one up, it’s a little bite of sausage on a toothpick. You chew on the sausage as you watch the Freshmen start regaling German and Russian kids with their bluegrass music.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq79UcHYk9I

You walk up to the window, where the snow is heavy. You look around to see Oryola giving a mean noogie to Yukari, who cries in terror trying to get away. You chuckle a bit and look out. The tanks appear to be under tarps to protect against the weather.

Except one. It looks like a tank, but not one you can tell. Doesn’t even seem to have a gun.

Piper surprises you. “Impressed?” You step back a bit, startled. She smiles at you, arms crossed.

You point at the weird silhouette. “What’s that one?”

“Ah, that will be a surprise for tomorrow!” says Piper. “Not like say, the Luchs. I’m sure you’re already aware I’ve made that purchase. It’s over there in fact.”

She points to the Panzer II Ausf. L “Luchs”. There’s a tarp over it, but snow still falls gently upon its grey hull. That’s actually quite the sight, tanks in the snow. You and Piper stand there, admiring it for some time.

Then doors open up. You both look to see the Ooarai girls walk in. “Nishizumi-donoooo!” Yukari breaks from free Oryola and runs over, hugging a very surprised Miho. Miho questions in her worriedly in Japanese, but then looks up.

Her eyes have met with Emi Nakasuka. Miho lets go of Yukari for a second, then walks over. Emi and Miho stare at each other, dumbstruck.

Miho smiles, warmly. “Emi-san.”

Emi places her hands on Miho’s shoulders. “Miho.”

They hug each other tightly. Oryola leans in next to you, startling. “Does that not warm your heart, milashka?”

Piper smiles. “Alright, everyone! With the arrival of Ooarai Girls Academy, we can start dinner! Bring out the main course!”

Piper starts introducing herself to the Ooarai Girls, while plates of Chicken, Pork, veggies, and sausages of all kinds are brought to the tables. You grab a plate of your own. Forget diets, you’re eating a dinner of CHAMPIONS.

Where to sit though? Oryola laughs and jokes with her Russian girls. Miho and Emi catch up with the Japanese. Piper goes from table to table, occasionally checking in on Bayerlein and the Germans. And then there’s your girls.

You sit down next to Bayerlein. “Hey, Helga! What’s up?”

Bayerlein simply stares at you. Wow, that is actually kind of intimidating.

You narrow your eyes at her. “Can’t speak English?”

Bayerlein says, “I speak English well, American. So, I hear you are quite the Tank Commander.”

You shrug. Now she’s just flattering you. “Well, I don’t mean to brag or be immodest or nothing.”

Bayerlein says, “It is luck that gets you this far.” She points her fork at you. “I hope you understand that, and know that we will defeat you in the match.”

You huff, smirking at her. “Why, I’ve heard that so many times that… well I’ve heard it a lot of times. Lucky I may be, but that don’t mean I squander it. Rest assured, there’ll be more than luck facing you on that field, Helga.”

Bayerlein quirks her brow, then gives you a smile. “Well then,” she offers her hand. “Best of luck to you.”

You shake her hand in return. “Best of luck to you too.”

Bayerlein says, “Still, I must say. If there is anything I admire about you, Gertrude Pool, it is the fact that you managed to turn a program of six barely operational tanks, into a very effective cohesive force of at least twenty.”

“Well, I’m a force of nature you could say,” you say. You chew on some sausages. “And I tell you what, I worked my ass off to do it. No lady luck to help me. It’s all buckle down, get this shit done, and get it done now. All these crews here, I did everything in my power to recruit them.”

“Piper is the same.” Bayerlein points to Piper, who happily chats with the Juniors. “Despite her being French, we all consider her German. She has that charm about her. She might be obnoxious yes, but we would go to the ends of the Earth for her.” Bayerlein leans in, a serious look on her face. “And do not be fooled by any stupid antics she pulls or has pulled. She is my equal in Panzerfahren.”

You nod. “I’ll keep that in mind.” You’ll probably forget about it later.

Trude can always get tutored by Fairless. And by "tutor" I mean long hours in her room with Fairless, reciting words and studying grammar with her while Kitten splits her time between getting everyone snacks, playing video games, and napping on Trude and Fairless. By the end of the night Trude is happy with her performance and feels that she has learned something new.

And then it's all followed by oral sex.

You sit down next to Miho and company. “Hey, Yukari!” Yukari and friends look at you. You dial a number on your cellphone.

“Allo, allo!” says Perrine Hobart. “What’s up, Gertrude?”

“Hey, Perrine, how’s my favorite Raging Cajun coming along?”

“Doing well!”

“Listen, I got a friend here who wants to know a little more about your projects in Unlimited, can you enlighten her?”

“Oh, definitely, oui!” You put it on speaker. “Hey! So I’m working on a new pet project!” Yukari edges her head in, fearful. Perrine says, “It’s a Sherman tank with a Panther turret adapted to use the-“

Yukari screams, shutting her ears. “Nooo!”

“What?” says Perrine. “Oh- I get it! Too simple for you! Well, I was also looking at merging the body of an Abrams tank and attaching the King Tiger turret on top to-“

“WHY!?”

You giggle a bit as Yukari buries her face in Miho’s chest. Perrine continues to ramble on and on about Unlimited Tankery as if it were second nature.

Miho says, “Hello, Pool-san.” Thick accent that. “I trust you are prepared for the tournament?”

You nod. “I am! What about you! I hear you’ve added a few new crews, got a few new tanks, and have been just blazing right through the competition like a hot knife through butter!”

Miho smiles, nodding.

“You don’t understand a word I’m saying, do you?”

Miho shakes her head, smiling.

“Oh well,” you say. You pat her on the head, surprising her. “Even though we might not be able to talk to each other, that don’t mean we can’t be friends. Keep yourself alert out there, Miho. Kursk is going to be a tough customer.”

Miho nods. “I see.”

Perrine says, “And you know what! I wanted to try and fix the issues with the Type 89, so I bought myself one fresh from a museum, and I tore it open to get into the interior to see what makes it tick!”

“PLEASE STOP!” yells Yukari.

“Hey, Perrine. What’s up?’

“That Yukari girl sounds really enthusiastic about Unlimited! I love that, I’m already arranging for a match between Ooarai and Christie after the Tournaments gone and done I guarantee!”

“Of course.”

“Anyway, I’ve been following your matches, Gertrude! It’s quite the thing you’ve been pulling out, especially against Pravda! Close match really!”

“Yeah, actually, I wanted to thank you for your work with the S35, the Hellcat, and the Churchill. They have been real lifesavers.”

“Oh, I’m just running a business, Gertrude! Anyway, I gotta run. Stratton needs me to help her get the suspension in place for this T14 Assault Tank. We’re going to widen the chassis, give it a bigger gun and everything! It’ll be a real hog!”

“Alright, Perrine. I’ll let you go then.”

“See you! Oh, and Michelle’s gotten quite a bit more talkative with me, I’m guessing I have you to thank! But, ta ta!”

With that, you hang up. Before you're able to do anything else, Oryola surprises you with an arm around your shoulder and her dirty cheek rubbing against yours. "Milashka!" She leads you over to her table. "Your Loaders here tell me of this girl called Wendy! She is Wonder Woman apparently."
