You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

> Boast

You smirk as you sit down next to Oryola. All the Loaders assemble around the table, their Russian compatriots joking and chatting in Russian to each other. Across from Oryola sits Wendy, who looks very disinterested. “Can I not eat dinner in peace?” she says.

Oryola smiles at Wendy, “Well, tell you what, lapochka. A simple arm wrestle. And that will be that, da?” She looks at you. “Tell you what, kotyonok, how about you spot for us.”

You nod. “I just want to let you know, Oryola. Wendy makes Wonder Woman look like a pansy. In fact, I bet all of my Loaders could make mincemeat of your loaders.”

“Haha!” Oryola grins at you. She brushes some of her musty hair out of the way. “Bold, I like you, kotyonok! No more milashka, I think kotyonok fits you better. Cute and adorable but do not know her own strength.” She rolls up her sleeve, revealing an incredibly muscular arm. Even Wendy looks a bit surprised as everyone oohs an ahs at it.

Oryola gets ready for an arm wrestle. Wendy grunts and takes her hand. You grab both their hands.

> “Kick her ass, Wendy.”

“Get her, Wendy, kick her ass. Go!” You let go of their hands.

Oryola slams Wendy’s hand down without a second thought. Your Loaders are stunned, even Wendy looks surprised, looking down at her hand in shock.

Oryola lets go, grinning. Her crewmates yell, “Ura! Ura! Ura! URAAA!”

“Well, well!” says Oryola to a very shocked Wendy. “It has appeared that the superior Loader has won.” She looks to your Loaders. “Good try, but the Silver Eagle of the Steppe does not submit to small time like yourselves.”

Wendy slams the table. “Hold on! You-“ Oryola looks at her curiously. Wendy grits her teeth. “You- You caught me off guard!” She holds out hand again. “Rematch!”

“Oh?” Oryola tilts her head, smiling smugly. “Lapochka, you embarrass yourself.” She flicks her dirty greasy hair. “Tell you what. Start lifting more, you will get muscles like mine that actually make the men go wild.”

“Damn it!” Wendy slams her fists down. “Are we doing this or not!?”

Oryola presents her dirty greasy hand. “Come at me.”

They lock hands and start the wrestle again. Oryola yawns as Wendy puts everything she can in forcing the hand down.

You sit by and eat your dinner as Wendy strains herself to push down Oryola’s hand. Oryola meanwhile sips a cup of coffee as she lazily holds her hand in place. “Lapochka, you disappoint me. No wonder the boys are not brought to your yard.” The Russians all laugh and chuckle.

Wendy growls. “Shut up!”

Oryola giggles. “Do you need help, lapochka? Perhaps one of your comrades would like to assist you. I do not mind.”

Wendy grunts. “Ramirez! Tara! Come on!” Ramirez and Tara lean over and start helping Wendy force Oryola’s hand down, to no visible effect. Bess comes over and tries her hand as well, still no effect. Oryola laughs at them.

“Lapochka, this is embarrassing! I am not even putting effort in!” she says. She wipes her forehead of grease and mud stains.

“Come on!” More and more loaders start joining in to help Wendy. At long last, Oryola feels the strain at eight of them pulling their weight. Wendy, Tara, Ramirez, Bess, Gussie, Megan, Elouise, and Jane Bradley.

Oryola looks at you, with a sly grin. “Impressed?”

You huff. “A little.”

Wendy says, “Don’t just stand there! Help us!”

You go around the table and prepare for some cunning brutality.

You poke Oryola in the hip. She chortles a bit, looking at you. “Dirty, kotyonok! I see you fight like we do!”

You smile and start tickling at her side. She laughs and writhes in her seat as tickle her. Slowly and steadily, the Loaders start making more and more progress. Finally, the back of Oryola’s hand touches the table. The Loaders all burst into applause and cheer, hugging each other as Oryola lets go of your hand and tips over onto the bench, writhing and clutching at herself as you tickle her into submission. “AHAHAHA! KOTY! STOP STOP! I GIVE!”

“ORYOLA!”

You stop at that. Oryola recovers as a the Russian part to reveal a much shorter Russian girl marching towards her, much cleaner but actually bearing quite the family resemblance underneath a pair of circular glasses. “Oryola!” She yells at Oryola in Russian, gesturing to her clothes, her face, almost like a mother. Oryola whines at her in cutesy Russian.

“Who’s this?” you say.

Oryola rolls her eyes, gesturing to her. “Gertrude Pool. My little sister. Natalya Kuznetsova. Natalya, Gertrude Pool.”

Natalya offers her hand. “I apologize gravely for my older sister’s antics. She shoots as bad as she smells.”

“Pfft. It’s nothing to worry about, Natalya! If anything, all Oryola did was invade our nostril space and fill it full of communism.”

Oryola leans back, crossing her ample legs which bear a lot of grease stains and dirt marks. “Yes, Natalya! There is nothing wrong with a little bit of a layer of dirt on top of the skin!”

“We are having dinner with rivals!” says Natalya. “How do you think this makes Kursk look?”

Oryola picks at her fingernails full of mud. “Oh, I do not know. Tell me more about how I should care about the opinions of people that I only see once or twice every six months.” She gestures to you. “Take little kotyonok! She is so cute and adorable! Tries to be big and strong like me! But has to resort to dirty tactics like me! I like her!”

Natalya crosses her arms. “Do I have to break out the board of education, Oryola?”

Oryola rolls her eyes. “You would not do that in public.”

“I would!” Natalya wags her finger in Oryola’s face. “When we get home, you are going to be clean as whistle!”

Oryola grumbles. “You know I hate showers!”

“Why do you hate shower so much!?”

“I prefer baths!”

“Why do you prefer bath! You sit there in your stink!”

“Exactly why I prefer bath!”

They start arguing at each in Russian.

You sit down next to Dales. “Hey, Dales.” The rest of Team Liberty are busy eating and chatting about the weather. Generic as ever they are.

Dales smiles. “Hey, Gertrude. Been a while since you and me talked actually.”

You nod. “Yeah.”

Dales says, “So, you want to talk how we load and offload cargo? It’s quite the process really. What we have is a system of cranes, trucks, and loaders that carry the containers. Now containers are color-coded mind you in almost all situations and-“

You say, “I have no idea what you’re saying.”

“I figured,” says Dales. “Honestly, I haven’t a clue what to talk about. I suppose that’s what makes me so boring a person.”

You frown. “Now, Dales. You aren’t boring!”

“Okay, you’re a little boring,” you say. “But that’s honest criticism. You have something unique about you! Like uh…” You struggle to think. “Stuff! Baseball!”

“Yeah, but we don’t know how to play baseball,” says Dales.

“Huh? But-“

“Just because we want to jump Jayson Werth’s bones don’t mean we know why we want to,” says Dales simply. She sighs.

You smile, rubbing your back. That’s probably going to bruise. “Yeah! Yeah. See you two.”

They nod, leaving you. Natalya continues lecturing Oryola in Russian as they walk away, to which Oryola simply laughs and mockingly speaks to her in more cutesy Russian.

The venue itself is quite a bit aways in Belgium, which means that the ITL took the liberty of renting quite a few buses for your crews. You board and sit between Kitten and Fairless. Roomy it is. Kitten leans on your shoulder, already fast asleep.

Fairless says, “She had quite the time at dinner. Actually got along pretty well with these weeaboo looking Japanese girls. Same with Team Clio, they were talking shop with the Japanese girls too.”

You nod. “Sounds nice. Glad she’s making friends of all sorts.”

Fairless nods. “Yeah, she and I took the time to discuss things too.” You look at her, curious. “But, that’s not important.”

“Oh?” You tilt your head. This sounds important.

Fairless sighs, then rests her head on your shoulder. You sniff her hair a bit. Strawberry. She says, “Just don’t concern yourself with it, alright?”

You nod, smiling down at her. “Alright. Let’s get some rest. We got a long day ahead of us.”

Well, Schteel did actually provide a pic that I guess is a rough idea of her, seeing as how he can't exactly commission a pic for every new character.

Now imagine the cute anime girl in that drawing, caked in dirt and going full Red Army CQC on Wendy.
>>
>>33240708
I did not see this picture. Where is it?

That's a hilarious mental image, since she looks to be smaller than how I imagine Wendy.

Here, friend.

>Fairless nods. “Yeah, she and I took the time to discuss things too.” You look at her, curious. “But, that’s not important.”
They were deciding who will be the mistress and who will be the wife.
>>
>>33240818
I thought that was their captain.

>>33240893
A proper division of labour is important to any successful venture.
>>
>>33240917
She is the captain, silly.
>>
>>33240945
Clearly, I need to pay closer attention.
>>
Oh, lookie! A perfect spot to observe movement into the town.
>>
>>33241023
Until the church tower gets knocked down anyway.

Speaking of which, I had a complaint about the plan we had. Gimme one moment.
>>
>>33241023
Nice! I wonder if it could be afforded to have someone STAY up there for the match.

>>33241055
Oh, never mind then.
>>
>>33241077

They can't go very far from their tank.

Their tank will be a sitting duck, though.
>>
>>33241077
>Nice! I wonder if it could be afforded to have someone STAY up there for the match.
I don't think that there's any SPECIFIC rule against it...
>>
>>33241110
That's what I meant by "can it be afforded" by a crew. Is there a tank with an unnecessary crew member that can do it, or what?

Your second point throws out the whole idea, though.
>>
>>33240444
Excel Anon I think if we're lucky we may be able to get theater tech crew to be elite.
>>
>>33241077
>>33241110
>>33241159
No rules against it and it's easy for a tank to hide in an urban area.

As I said though, the church tower will probably be knocked down. A ludicrous number of church steeples were destroyed during D-Day and afterwards while reclaiming France because the Germans were always using them for artillery spotting.
>>
>>33240444
Excel anon, I think you made a mistake, Ace crew does not have hedgecutters but the Shurzen
>>
>>33241197

Do you have the jpg of the ITL rules?

>>33241204

They have both.

Anyway, to the plan.

While I think it's mostly good, albeit somewhat complicated, I do have an issue with Trude's squad.

Their pathway takes them too far from the fight and if Konigsberg rushes the town then we won't be able to provide assistance immediately. I'm not 100% concerned about getting to our position in time because forests and so forth means Konigsberg won't be able to move fast either.

I would suggest an alternate route with the other squad to here before splitting up.

>>33241204
>>33241291

Scratch that, did some further diving. You are right. That was a holdover from when the aces were still driving the Panzer IV.

Thanks.

Here we go.

The '100 meter rule' was house ruled by Schteel early on.
>>
>>33241294
Switch up Gertrude's and Team Minie's positions.

I prefer that the Rifles and their team start flag hunting anyway, once sufficient amounts of the enemy have been depleted or if they're too committed to notice the T-34/57's movements.

>>33241387
Could also use throat mike range as an excuse for the distance, though that doesn't explain why Yukari and Erwin were able to sortie out so far on foot.
>>
Does anyone else wished we had fought the Anzio of the OVa?
>>
>>33240444
Also Excel Anon, the girl scouts have the Panzer Iv Ausf G not the Ausf F2
>>
>>33241453
New rule created after Jap National league. Whatever.
>>
>>33241495
>tank cut-out decoys
>backwards driving tankettes

Eh, doesn't seem to make much of a difference to me. Though it might've inspired some ideas for our Magician and Theater Tech teams in the future.
>>
>>33241495
>>33241569

Well, I know we probably needed to lose that one. Ya know, to curb our confidence a bit.
>>
Also after the match with we can probably Unlimited Lite maybe two of our tanks.

The Kv-85 into the KV-122 and either the Hellcat or the Pershing?

Person not needed can use the Chiha?

Thanks for that.

We could park one of our tanks at the base of the tower to allow a crew member to scout. The tank won't be able to move much till the crew are back but at least we'll get advance warning of an advance.

Also, the tower won't be taken down since firing on humans is illegal.

>>33241495

That would have been fun.

>>33241551

Ai. So many errors.
>>
>>33241651
Funny thing is that our .50 cal guns still would have pierced the Tanketters.

>>33241569
Not to mention the revived tankettes by simply flipping them back up
>>
A small part of me wishes we had shurzen armored all the tanks that had been flag so far we're missing the Churchill, the Somua, and the Hellcat
>>
>>33241387
>production of custom warheads or charges is not allowed
>production
>not use
Something to keep in mind for the finals I suppose...
>>
>>33242202
No anon you can't do that. In all likelihood its a mistranslation or similar.

Speaking of which,
>>33241453
That's the Jap rules. ITL may be different.
>>
>>33242271
>No anon you can't do that.
You can't stop me your not a ITL judge...

Speaking of which I don't see anything about rendering their tank inoperable PRIOR to a match to be strictly forbidden either, any suggestions?
>>
>>33242752
Their tanks, or ours?
>>
>>33242752
Yeah. Don't.
>>
>>33242752

This is why we cant have nice things.
>>
>>33242785
Both, if both teams have their tanks sidelined it draws suspicion away from us and buys us time if we need it. Or we could simply replace their supplies with inferior substitutions the night before.

If anyone else wants to do a better job, please do.
