After toppling the corrupt king of Gorim you are heading deep into the jungle, following the thief. But be wary, this is shifter country.
>>
>>33374852
You venture into the jungle cautiously, as this is shifter country, you hope with Matthias with you, you’ll get a warmer welcome. It’s hot here and the buzzing of insects follows you, the lush jungle canopy closes overhead after you have only gone a short ways into the jungle, and you can no longer see the sky.

General Yagyu said that shifters regard all non-shifters as slaves, perhaps Matthias should pretend to be your owner, though you’ve no idea how they’ll regard a half-angel.

After several, hot, boring hours of jungle travel, Matthias’ head swings ‘round and he glares at something off to your left.

“Ha!” says a masculine, deep voice, the speaker hidden by the foliage “took you long enough cub, I’ve been following you for an hour.”

Everyone looks startled but only Jianxi reaches for a weapon “How...?” she mutters to herself.

What do you say

Good idea. Supporting Matthias introducing us
>>
“I’m Matthias, and this is Sireyi, Isla and Jianxi” Matthias says, you agreed to have him do the talking for now. A pointed look from Sireyi has Jianxi sheathe her knife “We mean you no harm, who are you?”

As you watch, a large, semi-naked young man, perhaps 20 years old, walks towards you out of the jungle, he is clad only in a loincloth and a cloak, and is carrying a staff of some kind with feathers and rope and odd hand-made jewellery on it. His chest, arms and legs are covered in thick hair, almost fur.

Beside you, Isla concentrates briefly and whispers to you “I can’t sense anything magical on him.”

He raises his arms towards Matthias “Brother, stranger, welcome.” He then wanders towards Matthias and hugs him, pausing to sniff deeply at him.

He takes a moment to sniff briefly at Isla and Jianxi, getting far too close for their comfort and then turns to you and stops a good arms length away, seemingly unwilling to get closer, his nostrils flaring as he breathes in your scent.

“And what are you?” he says, confused “wings but not a shifter.”

'Just passing through' is a pointless option, we all know we're going to get another sidequest to reach the horn or it will be right in the middle of Shifter Boulevard or some other such thing.
Not that I mind, really, it keeps it interesting that way.

“Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first?” you say gently

He starts, as if he’s forgotten something and then shakes the staff at you, making the ornaments rattle. “Right, almost forgot, I am Clayton, guide and welcomer today, for my failings.”

“I’m Sireyi” you say “A half-angel”

“Huh” he says in a thoughtful tone “Well, that one will go to the elders I suppose.”

He continues “You are entering what some outsiders call ‘shifter lands’, by entering here you agree to obey all of our laws” he pauses and says under his breath, just loud enough for you to catch “even the dumb ones” before continuing in his normal voice “they are many and varied but the most important ones are that:
There are shifters and slaves, every slave must be owned by a shifter.
Slaves obey shifters but their own before others.
Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you; challenging someone for ownership is allowed, as long as you put something up of equal value as a wager
If you want respect, you have to fight for it
Respect the elders, or they’ll kill you
Don’t turn your back on your pack”

He looks at you expectantly “So, now we go to see the pack, to welcome our lost brother, now those two” he points at Isla and Jianxi don’t smell like his” he points at Matthias “mates, but they could still be his slaves I suppose.”

He looks you up and down “You I don’t know about, the elders will tell us what you are. Now I know outsiders don’t always follow our ways, but here you have to, or else it’s a free-for-all and you’ll get hurt.”

He turns to head deeper into the jungle “Well, you coming?”
>>
>>33374994
Isla and Jianxi look perturbed at being called slaves, in fact Jianxi looks ready to commit violence.

Matthias looks at you “is he serious, masters and slaves? I’m not sure if I’m up to doing this.”

>Storm Winds: You can command the winds of storms, raising your flying speed, sending enemies flying with a strong forceful gust, or creating a strong wind over a large area.
>2 – Your flying speed is now 20 times as fast as a human can walk or run (40mph aprox. long-distance, 200mph sprint). You can knock down ogre-sized foes and send smaller ones flying. You can create a strong wind over a 100ft area that applies a very large penalty to most ranged attacks.
>Send smaller ones flying
>Werewolves are human sized and cannot fly
I don't think this will be too big of a problem.
Unless we run into a were-hummingbird.
>>
This time it takes more than a stern look to quell Jianxi, but a firm hand on her arm stops her from doing anything stupid.
“Matthias just think of it like you’re playing a role in a play or something, I don’t want to have to fight a whole tribe of werewolves” you say to him quietly, he doesn’t look happy but nor does he argue.
“I’d be interested in hearing more about shifters” you say “and in your laws in particular.”

“Well, what do you want to know?” says Clayton,

“What if people disagree over laws?” you ask “Or claim a law is wrong?”

Clayton thinks these questions over “The elders decide” he says “sometimes they make people who disagree fight, and the winner is right”

“Do all shifters wear as little clothing as you” asks Matthias, clearly not enthused about the prospect of having to go native.

Clayton laughs and shakes his cloak “This is official welcomers clothes, I wouldn’t be wearing this if I wasn’t in trouble.”

“Ah good” says Matthias, relieved, at least he won’t be running around like a half-naked savage.

“Yeah” says Clayton “If I had my way I’d just be in my skin or wearing just my own fur.”

“Oh” responds Matthias.

Whilst Matthias contemplates what lies ahead, you chime in “So what failing are you talking about” you ask “did you break one of these laws?”

Clayton screws up his face and looks uncomfortable “weeeell, there was this girl that I liked, and she liked me only she was someone else’s slave and....” he trails off and then concludes “It’s complicated.”

“Anyway” he says “The elders can tell you more, follow me.”

>>

>>33375134

>>
>>33375134
>Lead on
>>
Clayton leads you deep into the jungle for several hours, you’re going roughly in the same direction as the Horn.
As the afternoon is moving towards evening you are led to a large, albeit temporary-looking encampment. Here and there a few tents can be seen.

Perhaps a hundred people, men, women and children are going about their lives, chatting, fixing things, cookfires are burning and children are running around playing. Clayton leads you through the camp to a tent slightly larger than the others. As you walk through the camp you notice that some people are fully-clothed whilst others are either wearing the minimum necessary for modesty, whilst others are naked. The semi-clothed and naked ones seem quite hairy, even the women. In addition, some of the less-clothed people have prominent canines and/or long, claw-like fingernails. The fully-clothed people outnumber the semi- and fully naked ones by 2 to 1. The camp is in a large clearing.

Clayton squats down by the tent flap and says in a sing-song voice “Elders of the tribe, I bring a brother from far away who-”

“Clayton!” shouts a voice from within the tent “What are you doing here, you’re supposed to be on border duty!”

“Well I was” he answers the unseen speaker “but-”

A long hairy arm shoots out of the tent flap, grabs Clayton by his ear and drags him inside.

“Oww, owww Owwwww, Motheeeerr!” you hear Clayton whining from inside the tent.

“When I tell you that you have border duty for being a stupid, irresponsible little shit you will guard the damn border” continues the voice, in full flow “You go and get that slave girl pregnant and we’ve been debating about whether to give her the gift of change or kill her all damn day and let that be a lesson to you.”

“Mother!” wails Clayton “We have guests, they came across the border!”
>>
>>33375199
There’s a pause, followed by the smack of flesh hitting flesh and Clayton comes tumbling out of the tent. Following him is a large woman wearing just enough to cover the essentials, wild hair everywhere.

She stands up and stares you in the eye, she’s easily as tall as Sireyi, perhaps taller than you by an inch, but probably weighs twice as much, thick muscles and generous coating of fat making her seem larger.

“What are you?” she asks incredulously, before turning to Matthias “Ah, young pup” she says, putting an arm around his shoulders “welcome, welcome” and ushering him into the tent, she looks at you “I suppose you should come too.” She ignores Isla and Jianxi. Clayton is busy picking himself up off the floor, his left hand clutched to his ear.

Well it’s not much of an invitation, but you follow her into the tent.

Inside are a couple of older men, perhaps in their 40’s, sat down on rugs, one is smoking a pipe and showing no expression at all, the other is clearly trying to suppress a grin, and failing. It’s cramped in here with barely enough room to stand, everyone else is sting down so you follow suit.

“And here I thought you wanted to be a grandmother again-” begins the grinning man, Claytons mother holds up a hand to forestall him first “Business first” she growls.

The three introduce themselves. The grinning one is Elder Calim, the pipe-smoker is Elder Theran, and Claytons mother is Elder Hella or ‘Hel’ as the others call her.

“Now” she says to Matthias “Tell us about yourself, were you born shifter, where are you from.” Matthias glances at you, unsure what to say.

The elders question Matthias about how he became a werewolf, Elders Calim and Hella doing most of the questioning. They don’t ask him anything about what he’s doing here.
Once they’ve got the story out of him a number of meaningful glances are exchanged, finally Elder Calim speaks “What that shifter did to you was stupid, and against our laws, but you are not to blame” he pats Matthias on the shoulder “We welcome you as a brother”.

Then they turn to you, Elder Calim looks you up and down appraisingly, “what are you?”

“No, no, no” disagrees Elder Hella “Half-angel is still half-slave, I say we take her wings off her and lets the pups fight over who wants to claim her.”

Elder Calim laughs at her “half-angel is enough, give her a chance to stand on her own feet.”

“She dresses like a slave” says Elder Hella, leaning towards Elder Calim and bearing an impressive-looking set of teeth “The pup looks to her for orders even though she’s not his mate, she’s not one of us.”

Elder Theran breaks the deadlock “let her fight” he says in a quiet voice “If she can prove herself then she’s our equal, if not, she joins the slaves. She can fight after the cub.”

Well if that’s the way they want to do things “Very well” you say, “What are the rules of this fight?”
“The rules are simple” says Hella, “The fight goes on until one submits, one passes out, or if it is decided one of you has a killing hold on the other, or if either of you break the rules”

“And what weapons are permitted?” you ask.

“Fur or skin” says Elder Calim “either you both fight unarmed in a human form, or both shift to animal form.”

“So if my foe is in wolf form I can use my angel powers?” you ask.

This causes a lively debate amongst the elders for several minutes, but they eventually agree.

“Alright” you say, “I guess I must fight, but first, I came here following an old man carrying something he had stolen.”

“Oh” says Elder Calim in disgust “That one, yes we know of him, he tried to pay us gold to let him pass, as if we care about that. We took his box and sent him to the slave pens.”

You feel hope flare within your breast “So you have the box-”
Elder Calim waves a hand dismissively “It had a lovely ornate horn in it, but before I could make a gift of it to my son, the old beggar, Hizrule I think his name was, escaped and stole it. My son and some of his friends are tracking him, they’ll be back in a few days with him, and that horn, if it’s yours. I’ll trade you for it.”

“A few days” says Hella, cackling suddenly “Your son never took a few days on a hunting trip in his life, it’ll be a week, maybe 2 before he’s back.”

He took the Horn back and ran off, a bunch of young werewolves are now hunting him.

Speak softly, and carry a divine-enchanted Haldberd

“Can you tell me anything about this old man, Hizrule?” you ask.

Elder Calim chuckles “funny old man, all dressed in rags, big long white beard but no hair on his head. He was very entertaining until he ran away, kept calling down the wrath of his God on us but nothing happened, no lightning bolt from the sky. Can’t be much of a god, this Kilran of his.”

You and Matthias go outside whilst Elder Hella gathers up most of the shifters in the camp, they stand around in a rough circle as Elder Hella tells them that they welcome back a lost brother to their family, and that as he did not grow up with them, he must earn his place in the packs hierarchy.
Several werewolves, mostly females, raise their hands. Hella glares at them and picks one of the males. He steps forward, wearing just a loincloth and stares at Matthias in anticipation “Newcomers pick” he growls “fur or skin”

How does Matthias respond?

>Yeah this doesn’t remind me of the time I joined the all-barbarian wrestling team at the guild at all, if he demands I show him my honour, I am leaving
>Fur
>Skin
>I’m not fighting

“The rules are simple” says Hella, appointing herself to oversee the match “The fight goes on until you submit, you pass out, or if I decide one of you has a killing hold on the other, or if either of you break the rules” She pats Matthias on the shoulder “Don’t worry, I have a daughter about your age, lovely girl, I’ll introduce you” she whispers to him “I’ll make this fight a short one” Louder she says to Matthias “now strip, shifters don’t fight in armour, or clothes.”

Ah....
>Right, yes of course (remove armour, keep clothes)
>What, all of it? (strip down to smallclothes)
>This armour shifts with me, I’m keeping it on

Kilran is the god of beggars and lunatics, who gave a magical stroke in thread 3.

“Skin” says Matthias “and my armour can shift with me, so I’m keeping it on.”

His foe laughs “the little pup wants his blanket, ok.” It seems the crowd agrees with your foe as they start booing and calling Matthias a cheater, demanding the referee disqualify him. Hella makes no comment, as she seems to favour Matthias.

Matthias and his foe square up to one another as the crowd circles around them.

“Begin!” barks Elder Hella

Matthias foe rushes towards him, fists swinging. He is taller than Matthias by several inches and much bulkier, though some of that is fat rather than muscle. He doesn’t move very fast (for a werewolf).

One-on-one combat will have specific action rather than simply ‘roll attack’, a roll will be made after the choice, each choice will have different outcomes.

Matthias keeps raining down blows upon his foe until his target yells out that he yields “Well done” says Hella, pulling Matthias up into a hug as most of the crowd cheers, though some dissenters continue to jeer about Matthias ‘cheating’ by wearing armour.

Of the 30 werewolves watching, 20 were impressed

Now Hella turns to you “Ok, let’s see what you’re made of, same rules as before” she leans in and whispers “Let’s see you prove yourself girlie, and no favours this time.” As she turns to the crowd and asks for volunteers all the men present put their hands up, as do most of the women. To yells and boos of disappointment Hella picks one of the larger men. From the comments of the crowd it seems most of the crowd is definitely against you. Perhaps you could shuck your armour, or just impress them with your power.

“Now strip it all off” Hella says to you as the man walks forward and says “fur or skin?”

You take your armour off, to appreciative calls from the crowd, but leave your clothes on, to boos of disappointment, seems you have a lot of fans (male and female) wanting you to take more off.

“Fur” you say “And isn’t one-on-one a little unfair? I mean, really I should be facing two or three to make this even?”

Hella glares at you “Single combat” she says “Is sufficient”. Nonetheless you see some approving nods in the crowd, seems your bravado has won you some support.

As you have been removing your armour your foe has stripped off everything and transformed into a 7ft-tall man-wolf form that probably out-weighs you by a good 200lbs.

“Begin!” Barks Hella

Your foe rushes towards you, his arms spread wide to catch you, looks like he’s going for the grapple straight off. Your halo blazes above your head, bolstering you.

“Face the storms wrath” you whisper as your foe runs towards you, his arms outstretched.

Your eyes glow as your normally golden-white halo briefly turns blue. Lightning erupts from your outstretched hand and blasts the werewolf full in the chest. He stumbles back, howling in pain.

You see him kneeling down, breathing heavily. He looks up at you, a look of...fear in his eyes. Nevertheless he slowly, and grimly tries to get to his feet. He stumbles and falls down again, then keeps trying. You’ve burned all fur away on a large patch on his chest, you can see his flesh healing, gradually.

It seems he’ll need a moment to get back on his feet. He won’t be doing anything this round.

The crowd is stunned into silence.

“Are you ok” you ask him, pausing as you realise you don’t know his name.

Still in man-wolf form he says “Halkan, I’m Halkan.”

“How do you feel Halkan?” you ask.

Because they aren't his mates is an accepted reason why they don't smell like Matthias.

>>33376704

“They both belong to me” you say. Elder Hella stalks away, muttering “Well tattoo your name on them or something, they don’t smell like you.”

You see Elder Calim and Elder Theron standing at the edge of the crowd as it slowly breaks up with the entertainment over. Elder Theron says “Don’t mind Hel, she’s just been in a bad mood ever since her husband went up against a ‘bear and came out second best, oh ‘bout 3 years ago now.”

“You mean ever since he took the only honourable way of escaping her” murmurs Elder Calim, causing Theron to start coughing on his pipesmoke as he laughs “Well, that too” he gasps out.

“Welcome to the tribe” says Elder Calim, “Our home is your home, if you need anything, just ask” Having proved yourselves, it seems you now have the run of the camp.

>Thanks, I guess I’ll take a look around
>I really need to get hunting this thief

Matthias looks like he wants to ask a question
>I’ve only heard of a few shifters not going mad, how is everyone here so...normal?
>I’m not very good at being a shifter, how do I control the change?
>I’m not very good at being a shifter, how do I stop going into frenzy?

Jianxi decides that now is a good time to make a smartass comment “Oh so I’m your slave am I? Should I do mistresses laundry? Cook mistresses supper? Oh, I forgot to put my collar and chain on this morning.”

Fortunately only the two Elders are close enough to hear her.

>Jianxi, now really isn’t the time....
>Well since you asked, I like my underclothes washed with no starch, hop to it
>A collar and chain? No at this point a gag would suffice

I think asking how to not go into frenzy is the one that continues along Path of the Beast, which he already has 2/5 in, the other likely advances along the other path with the 'how are you so normal' option just being general info/help.

“I’m not very good at being a shifter, how do I control the change?” asks Matthias, diverting the Elders attention “And how do I stop going into a frenzy when I change?”

Elder Calim puts an arm around Matthias shoulders “Well cub, that’s a question that has puzzled shifters throughout history, where does our rage come from, how do we decide what forms we were” he gestures to the sky “Maybe it comes from the Gods, who knows, who knows?”

Elder Theran rolls his eyes and gives Calim a significant look.

Calm continues “But if you want a specific answer, we can just teach you the same way we’d teach a newly gifted shifter, would take about a week to control the change, another to get a grip on your temper.

“Gee” you say to Jianxi, whilst Matthias has the elders distracted “Don’t bother fetching your collar and chain, just a gag will do!”

“I don’t see why we can’t just, not be slaves” responds Jianxi “Apparently, I’m a noble.”

“Which doesn’t mean anything here” you continue, your voice low “your choices are my slave, Matthias’ slave, or the slave of whichever shifter thinks you’d look good in his bed, I picked the option that will keep you out of trouble!”

Jianxi doesn’t respond to you, instead she turns on Isla “Of course you think it’s a good idea!” she says “You’ve been waiting months for Miss Perfect to declare you her slave!” Jianxi then stalks off.

“What’s her problem?” asks Isla.

With the horn being so close you think about whether flying on ahead using your new elemental powers would be the best plan, but the possibility of running into trouble, or an ambush seems too high.

You decide that, Isla, Jianxi and you will follow the trail of the Horn, whilst Matthias learns to control his werewolf powers.

On the journey Jianxi calms down, but doesn’t want to talk about her outburst.

You set out into the jungle, following the pups trail. They’ve left claw-marks on the trees to indicate the route they took and following them isn’t hard. The shifters have taught you the basics of the trail-signs they use so you can follow the pups. The Elders also give you a carved stick decorated with beads and bits of leather that they assure you will identify you to the pups as a friend to the pack.

After 3 days see a clearing up ahead, at the edge of the clearing are three werewolves in man-wolf form engaged in a furious whispered debate. They don’t appear to have noticed you. They’re watching something in the clearing up ahead but you can’t see what, you’re too far back in the jungle at the moment.

With a polite cough you attract the werewolves attention. You hold the elders stick up as they stalk towards you and say “I’m Sireyi, Elder Calim gave this to me to ensure you’d know I was a friend to your pack”.

They stop looking like they’re going to attack and one says “Did dad send you?”

“Not as such, but I’m chasing a thief who took something and Elder Calim said you were hunting the same man.”

The young werewolf thinks this over for a moment and then beckons you forward to the edge of the clearing. “I’m Feran” he says, this is “Busk and Torm” indicating the other two.

Further across the clearing is a smooth stone circle in the ground, a dozen circular columns of stone around the edges. The columns are covered in arcane-looking runes.

Standing in the middle of the circle, a leather case under one arm is an old man with a long white beard. He’s running his free hand over the columns runes and ranting to himself, though you can’t make out what he’s saying at this distance.

“Busk thinks we should just go get him” comments Feran “But I think it’s funnier watching him twitch, plenty of time to get him when he gets bored playing with the old ruin.”

“Sireyi” says Isla “I can sense magic building over there.”

You quickly fill your allies in on your plan and then you act.

A lightning bolt splits the sky, connecting you to the storms for a split second, at the same time another strikes within the circle as you appear there. Your wings are stretched out, your halo is blazing above your head and your eyes are glowing.

“Your flight ends here thief” you boom out as the old man spins to face you in shock, dropping the box he’s carrying. It falls to the floor.

You summon a powerful gust of wind that throws him clear of the circle and halfway across the clearing. You can see Jianxi, Isla and there werewolves racing towards him.

Arcane magics erupt from the circle around you, ripping into you, the pain is intense (HP 48/58).

Through the haze of pain you can see the arching magical energies dancing around you, and around the box, this close you can clearly sense the Horn in the box.

The magical energies around you intensify and then everything goes white, and then black.

You feel comfortable, drowsy, you want to go to sleep, this bed is so soft it’s like it’s not even there.

In fact, it isn’t.

You’re in freefall

WAKE UP

Your eyes snap open and you realise you’re high above the ground, instinctively you spread your wings and slow your descent for a moment, then you see the leather box holding the Horn, looking singed, go tumbling past you. With a muttered curse you dive down after it and catch it, then you look around.

You’re high up, very high up, in fact were it not for your paladin powers [Giants Endurance] breathing might be a problem, as it is, you will survive.

Below you is a mountain range, in the distance, off to one side is an ocean. You’re too high up to make out any further details, the world below you looks like a picture, not real.

You can clearly sense the horn in the box you’re carrying, but the sense of it is faint, like it’s a long way away.

It’s harder to draw upon your paladin powers here, something is wrong.

[Divine Energy costs for all paladin powers are doubled, innate powers are unaffected, angel/elemental powers are unaffected]

It’s not just people, it’s an army.

An army is headed up a mountain pass, at the top of the pass are a dozen giants hurling boulders down at the army, crushing dozen of people with each one. As you move in closer you see a giant freeze several soldiers in ice with a cone of cold air he blew out his mouth.

Further back down the pass the army is readying catapults, one launches a ball of sickly glowing green fire at the giants, missing them and smashing into the mountainside.

You can feel the infernal energies of that missile even at this height, and it’s stronger around the catapults. In fact the entire army is radiating demonic energies in varying degrees. With your eyesight you can see that some of the officers are humans with varying degrees of demon heritage, horns, glowing eyes, and tails.

You’ve never heard of an army of part-demons before.

You cannot sense any evil from the giants, but then although giants are often hostile to humans, they’re not automatically evil.

Demon doesn't automatically mean evil in our religion, we shouldn't just assume things.

Pally can you weigh in on this >>33378639

I actually was under the impression Demons were generally considered Evil

detect evil both sides
lesser evil gets our help

Demons are evil, it's what they are.

But they can still be redeemed, though it's rare.

Part-demons will always detect as evil, and their natures push them towards evil acts, but they are not all evil.
>>
All beings are born into this world naturally good, it is when they are filled with evil emotions that they become demons in the afterlife. It is our job as a paladin of Velya to help any demon not trying to kill us to rekindle that inner goodness and find peace.

We have no idea what's going on or why, it would be foolish to jump in and start smiting.

This army is entirely comprised of Partial-Demons, as far as we can tell, correct?

>>33378736
I thought demons were literally just the evil gods equivalent of angels in this setting?

Yes, of varying human/demon mix, though there does seem to be a few completely human-looking ones here and there.

What about the other question?
Are demons corrupted souls or something more akin to anti-angels?
>>
>>33378804
Demons arise from a plane of pure evil - the Hells. They arise naturally from this place and are pressed into service by the Gods and demon lords.

Angels were created by the Gods as soldiers against demons.

Corrupted mortals can be promoted to demonhood.

not because "devils are not automatically evil" but because this does not concern us right now

So are we gonna be fighting a Demon Vizier of Hell next week, or what?

You’re not sure what’s going on here so you keep watching. As you watch several of the giants raise their arms, as their arms raise, so too does a thick wall of ice, shielding them from the next volley of catapult missiles.

The glowing green missiles explode against the ice wall and the army briefly falls back, unable to push past the giants.

The officers confer for a few minutes and then dozens of their own soldiers are seized, it’s hard to tell but it looks like they’ve picked the least demon-like (i.e. the most human-looking) ones.

What look like clerics, men in long robes come forwards and approach the soldiers. Even at this distance you can feel the miasma of evil on these ‘priests’.

They pull out knives and systematically butcher their own soldiers as you watch in shock. As the blood pools on the snow, the priests start chanting.
Dark energies coalesce and when they dissipate there stands 6 gigantic demons with 4 arms apiece, each hand holding a cruel-looking weapon.

As you watch they start up the pass towards the giants.

Somewhere on the other side of the pass, behind the giants lines a horn is blown. At this signal the giants immediately begin retreating, running down the other side of the ridge, away from the army.

However, as they do a finally volley of catapult missiles smash into the ice wall, bringing it down on one giant who is smaller than the rest. He is partially buried under the fallen ice and is desperately trying to pull himself out as the demons advance.

>Demon Vizier
Vizier isn't a noble title, he'd be a Baron, King, Duke, Count or, oddly enough, President.

>>33378890
>Systematic sacrifice of the most human soldiers
Okay, yeah, these guys are bastards.

>Use Ride the Lightning to free the small giant
The giants are retreating, and we can't fight an army.
