You are Kagome Higurashi, an average teenage girl from Tokyo. Well at least you WERE average. After a series of strange and unfortunate events you find yourself in a strange place with even stranger people…

Earlier this morning you went back to the well you first came out of and, homesick, you flung yourself back down it however. Waiting on the other side was something you didn’t expect. Turning to flee back down the well you were attacked, however a voice rang out as you lost consciousness; regaining it on the other side of the well.

You patched your wounds and lost consciousness yet again, awakening at dusk by a riverbed…

Inuyasha crouches nearby tending to a fire, Keisuke and Yura seem to be in the distance talking to one another. Your eyes feel heavy… your body aches. “just a rest” you whisper to yourself as you are met with the welcoming embrace of darkness once more.

The roar of what sounds like a whining jet engine jolts you from your sleep. Panicking you check your surroundings. It’s pitch black, but everything feels taller. You rub your eyes… why are your hands so small? You blink and suddenly the sensation of heat overwhelms you as the scene erupts into flames. You’re in a building. Home? A man in a tattered suit holds his hand out. Smoke fills your lungs and you fall. Faceless men and women in surgical masks surround you. You raise your right arm “35.4442
139.6381 S-Lv Yo…” is carved into it but you can’t make out the rest. The world fades into white… No gravity. No light. No darkness. You check your arm again… were you always missing your middle finger? Your breathing becomes labored and your mouth stings. You instinctively bring your hand to your face. Bone and scare tissue. You scream as you notice various lacerations appear on your bare arm and you awake in a cold sweat panting.

Frantically you feel your arm. No markings. You’re fine… fine. Breathing a sigh of relief you sit up just as Inuyasha turns around and holds a charred skewered fish just under your chin. “You ok?”

Kagome; assess the situation.

Succinct, describe our home as an ancient shrine amid a city of glass and steel that reaches for the heavens
>>
>>33476699

Eh, don't really go into detail. I'd imagine that Kagome wouldn't really want to speak at length about it due to the shock. Plus she really doesn't know much about it herself.

Just give him a basic rundown unless he asks for more, no reason to over explain if he isn't interested

Hmm thought this quest would start later
>>
His words catch you off guard. Steam rises off of the fish as Inuyasha lightly jiggles it up and down until you take it. You’re not really sure if you’re ok. You don’t know how to feel or what to do. Until about a week ago the only thing you had to worry about was school or your mom finding your porn floppies.

“Th-thanks” you whisper.

Inuyasha folds his arms and continues staring at you as if demanding an answer.

“I… I’m not sure if I have a home any more.”

“Whater’ ya talken about? The town? S’no big deal, I get run outta towns all’a time. An’t no thing.”

“No, that’s not it…” you reply, your voice cold and distant “My home is through the well… it’s an old shrine amongst a massive village of stone and steel with buildings that cut into the heavens…” You feel blood rush to your face, slightly embarrassed by the clumsy poetry. Good, at least you can still feel something.

“I an’t never herd’a a place like that before.” He responds, scooting closer.

“It’s called Tokyo.” You breath deep, the familiar scent of burning scales fills your nose, sending you on a nostalgia trip back to the streets of your home city. “When I want back home there were men that attacked me… I don’t now if my family’s ok or i-“

“And ya didn’t just beat em up? Some guy comes inta yer home an-“

“They tried to kill me…” you reply, dragging your free hand against your chest. One of your fingers dips into one of the bullet holes.

“… ya. I know…” He turns away “Why don’t you eat that before it gets cold.”

Your lips meet burnt flesh; it’s actually not that bad. It seems like not even he can screw “make things hot” up.

“I took the deal” the man in red says, prodding at the fire “125 Mon for me ta take him ta the next town. Ya can tag alog if ya want.”

“Bury it”… “Bury it like everything else” Your inner monolog whispers. You take a deep breath followed swiftly by a deep bone cracking bite into the fish.

“You bet yer ass I’m all in.” Yes, that’s exactly what you’ll do. Same as always. You’ll put up a front to conceal your true nature and with time you’ll become that.

Inuyashas ears perk up as he raises an eyebrow “kaaaaay…” He hesitantly hands you another fish, which you promptly devour. “I mean, it’s not like being mopey’s going to solve anything anyway.”

“I guess, but-“

“NOPE.”

“Are you s-“

“NOOOOOPE!”

Inuyasha lets out a sigh of defeat before he waves Yura and Keisuke over to the fire to eat the rest of the food. Having finished your portion you wait by the fire calmly as the other three eat, suppressing any and all family memories with the utmost of ease. Mom was a drunk, Sota was an annoying coward, and your grandfather was a penny-pinching weirdo. There is no POSSIBLE way you could miss or worry about them. Right? RIGHT.

“So…” Inuyasha says, breaking the silence, his mouth filled with fish “Ko-gume… Ah… wants ta tag along. I figure we head out in a bit.”

“Nope; we’ll make camp and head out in the morning.” Keisuke replies before pointing his chopsticks at you “And you Lady Kagome, can have the honor of first watch. You seem rather… rested.”

Inuyasha raises a foot and knocks Keisuke over, but doesn’t say a word. “Fine. Second shift.”

The four of you hastily clean up and make camp with Inuyasha acting as the first watch.

Unable to sleep for most of the night you lie awake looking at the stars. There’s more of them than you could have ever imagined back at home, however sleep finally finds you despite your best efforts.

Red breaks the veil of darkness in what seems like an instant, rousing you from your slumber. It looks like today’s finally started and it’s going to be filled with walking. Might as well buddy up to someone to pass the time.

None in the anime, that I can recall.

The Jewel is special, and the only reason it serves as a bridge between the past and the present is due to the Kikyo-Kagome trans-temporal reincarnation link, not due to it being a powerful magical artifact

You stand up from your rocky bed, putting your hands above your head you bend backwards and to the side eliciting a series of cracks and pops from your spine. Despite being riddled with bullets a short while ago, you seem to be in surprisingly good shape today all things considered. Sure you’re head’s throbbing and things seem to be moving in slow motion, but hey, good with the bad.

Looking into the dawn’s horizon you can see a few stray clouds being lazily blown by a cool breeze. Today should be a rather pleasant one for walking.

Inuyasha finishes dousing the campfire and before you know it Yura and Keisuke, wearing a massive “backpack” of sorts are standing next to you. Keisuke takes a deep breath and sticks his thumbs under the ropes holding the cloth and wood pack to his back. “Shall we?”

The four of you follow the river up stream before branching off into a well-treaded path in the woods. The chirping of various birds fills the air as the now mid-day sun punches fingers of light through the canopy overhead. The beauty of nature surrounds you… and by god you are bored out of your skull.

You notice Yura is constantly adjusting her skirt, pulling it down every few paces or so to keep it from riding up which is a bit strange because a skort or whatever she’s wearing shouldn’t be doing that. Ah ha! A conversation starter!

You pick up your pace a bit in order to walk next to her. You really should get to know her better considering she’s bound to your soul or whatever. “You know if you’re having problems with your skirt riding up, can’t you just make it longer?”

“OH!” she chirps “You’re absolutely right! I could give myself a makeover right here and now! How fun! Let me just… OH NO! It looks like can’t after all!” she pouts “It seems SOMEONE CUT OFF ALL OF MY HAIR!”

The sudden outburst cuts Inuyasha and Keisukes conversation short and puts a halt to the birdcalls of the area.

“I…”

“Sorry? Oh me oh my master is “Sorry”! How dreadful that she should be uncomfortable!” Her tone quickly shifts from overly flirtatious and cheery to a hoarse and bitter whisper “Perhaps a few inches of steel plunged into your dark heart would be a better fashion statement than that disgustingly tacky outfit.”

You open your mouth to speak again, however Yura holds up her hand in front of your face and struts away before looking over her shoulder and mouthing ”And stay away from Inuyasha.”

You nervously chuckle to yourself. That didn’t go how you wanted it to at all…

You keep to yourself the rest of the day silently stewing on the guys in hazmat suits you saw back at home. Who are they? What did they want? Where did they get guns like that in Japan? What would your friends think of you if someone caught you running out of that adult novelty store? You let out an exasperated sigh as you throw your backpack down in a clearing. The sun was finally starting to set and you need to help make camp.

Setting out on your own you manage to gather some decent firewood as Inuyasha and Yura hunt.

The remaining daylight passes quickly and you enjoy a meal of slaughtered deer. Thankfully Inuyasha gutted and killed it out of sight. It seems that despite all that’s happened you’re still not comfortable with death.

The night finally comes and you settle into a comfortable bed of grass and a shoddy blanket as sleep overtakes you.

>>
>>33480209
They *could* have been slaying demons for a long time, but what does that have to do with time travel?
We're worried about the future-assholes, ancient-assholes aren't so much our problem.

Magic must defeat magic, remember?
You cannot open a magical time-portal that only exists due to a very peculiar set of circumstances related to a specific magical jewel open with technology.

>>33480333
>Knots
>He's half dog-demon
Were you trying to be lewd?
Because that was lewd.
>>
>>33480371
If they been at this for a while as evidence with there equipment then they could have built up a ton of magical trickets that they can use

There has to be other ways they can jump back I doubt we got the monopoly on time traveling gems and a group like them are the ones who are most likely too have one especially if they have been around for a long period of time
>>
>>33480221
Actually that sounds pretty awesome
>>
>>33480570
At this point you're just assuming things with little to no evidence, such as:
>Them having been around for longer than firearms
>Magical jewels that enable time travel not being a unique thing due to the bullshit circumstances surrounding the Shikon
>Time Jewels all travelling to the same area with the same portal, which is established to only link with that time period due to it's relation to Kikyo, Kagome and the Shikon
>Them not just being a black ops team that barely manages to survive against regular kinds of demon
>Their equipment being anything more than guns, hazmat suit and magical radar.
>Them not just destroying any magical trinkets they get their hands on to protect mankind and relying solely on technology

All of those, every single one, are baseless assumptions.

>>
You suddenly feel yourself awaken and shift in your half-zombified state no way its morning yet. Still, you roll over and open your eyes to catch another glimpse of the beautiful night sky… and see a shimmering blade inches above your heart, clutched by Yura, her free hand hovering above your mouth.

“… well this is awkward…”

“Relax” you say with a yawn, pushing her off balance from her kneeling stance where she crumples to a heap. You really don’t have the time of patience for this crap right now.

You sit up whispering the word of power for what feels like hours before finally thinking to check who’s on duty. Near the almost burnt out fire is Keisuke, wobbling back and forth from his sitting position. Grabbing a nearby pebble you manage to clock him in the head. He awakes with a fright and quickly attempts to analyze his surroundings. You point to the heap formerly known as Yura. “No more swords. No more guard duty.” He nods feebly.

You spend the rest of the night keeping watch.

Dawn finally breaks and you depart to find berries and other tea-ish ingredients and upon returning the four of you sit down for a light breakfast of tea and some rice cakes Keisuke had stored. “We made pretty good time yesterday” he says through mouthfuls of food” If we can keep it up we might get there today. Maybe tomorrow.”

Looks like another day of deep hurting for your feet. Who do you want to strike a conversation with?

There's a difference between an assumption based off logic and just assuming that our enemies have access to every hypothetical resource and artifact, including ones which may or may not exist.

Yura told you to keep away from Inuyasha, but fuck that. He’s sort of cute in a dumb way and he’s saved your ass at least twice now. You might as well get to know him better.

Keisuke stamps out the fire and begins breaking camp and packing everything into his sack leaving you, Yura, and Inuyasha standing around camp. Your mind drifts back to last night as you eye Yura who silently pouts with her arms folded over her chest. You lack the patience to deal with her or the willpower to just kill her outright. Scowling in your mind you know what you have to do… an olive branch… but your hair. You struggle with yourself. Your hair was one of your favorite things about you. You kept it long and silky... so much of your time in your old life was devoted to keeping your flowing mane in a divine state. Here though? Ya… cutting your hair is way better than getting murdered. Might as well give it a try.

Your hand shoots for Inuyashas crotch without a second word, eliciting a yelp from the dog demon. In one flowing motion you grab one of the two blades in his belt and pull it free and your hair back. You keep the momentum of the blade going until it bounces off your hair. … that didn’t look nearly as cool as you had hoped… but you play it off and saw away at your flowing locks as you fight back a few tears. You never liked short hair. It always made you think of older women.

You extend your now hair filled fist towards Yura who raises an eyebrow. You jiggle your hand a bit, trying to look as stern as possible. She eventually unfolds her arms and gingerly takes your offering with both hands.

“For… me?”

You don’t say a word, and run the blade behind your head to check for any of Yuras influence just in case as you slam it back into it’s scabbard. Luckily it probably just came off as dramatic flair.

“I’m… not sure how to respond to this.” She holds the fist of hair in her hand, her gaze transfixed as she walks away.

“What was that all about?”

You brush him off “Nothing really, it was just getting in my way.”

“Yer not a-“

“Nope.”

The four of you are on the road once again; Yura still holding up a clenched fist filled with hair, completely captivated by it and not bothering to say a word.

At the rear are you and Inuyasha, now with his ill-gotten katana and Yuras short blade.

“So” you say, folding your hands behind your back “It feels kind of weird having been with you for so long and not really knowing anything about you.” Your gaze wonders to the dirt road under you “So uh… any family?”

He puts his arms into either sleeve and sort of crosses his arms. “Nah not really. Not any more.”

“I’m sorry…”

“Don’t be. My old man was never around and my half brother’s a real piece-a-work.. Acts like some kind-a big shot just cuz he’s a full demon. Always prancing about with that stupid outfit of his and his stupid face…” You notice he’s since balled his fist and is shaking it. You stifle your laughter for a moment.

“What about your mom?”

His face softens and the fire flees his eyes “She an’t here no more. Raised me and took carea me. S’all ya need ta know.”

“I-“

“Don’t. Appologizen’ fer things you an’t got no control over’s a wasta time…”

Rolled 9

Your group takes Inuyashas words to heart and you ignore the imminent threat for now. You know you’re being followed, so it shouldn’t be too tough to react when and if they do attack. Calling them out might instigate them or spook them off to find reinforcements. Then again for all any of you know, it could just be some curious kid.

Regardless Yura sets down a basic trap around your position and the nearby area as you stop in the road you enjoy more riceballs and light conversation. Your eyes scanning the horizons for any unusual signs. There are four of you. You’re all wide-awake, aware and armed. You breathe a sigh of relief, however Yura finally speaks up.

“You know… no one has ever given me hair of their own accord before. I prefer to scalp it myself and it’s full of split ends but I suppose it’ll have to do.” Yura closes her eyes and presses your hair to the center of her chest which seems to write as it absorbs it. It honestly kind of makes your stomach turn. “I suppose I’ll have to wait until your hair grows back a little before I kill you. Maybe then it will be of acceptable quality.”

“Oh?” Yura makes a dainty O with her mouth and caresses her cheek. Lifting a finger up you see a shimmer of hair in the crook of her index finger. She pulls it forward and a loud squeaky cry rings out from within the forest. “How bothersome, just a pesky animal…”

Finishing your lunch you quickly exit the woods without any further incidents. Green hills and dirt roads stretch before you as several darkening clouds drift lazily in the sky.

Keisuke beams “It’s just a little ways from here! Come on!”

Highly punchable. Much hate.
The spoiler in my last comment was entirely serious purely based off of his hypothetical death.
>>
>>33483604
Well that's a bit excessive.
Not entirely wrong, but excessive.
I was actually looking forward to seeing how Kagome's more aggressive personality alters Shippo's character.
Irritating or not, he was a fairly decent comedic relief character most of the time; The interactions he had with Inuyasha, especially.
Also, not being babied by every other party member might make him less of a dumb shit.

Your problem is that you were actually taking him seriously in the anime.
>>
>>33483665
I also liked Shippo but don't particularly mind if he barely shows his face here. No way will Yura want him in the party.

It'd be shame if he never showed up once though.

Perhaps. I'll admit, it's been a while since I watched the anime.
I suppose it's possible that time has... enhanced recollections of aggravation. Maybe.
And an attempt to make him tolerable may have it's merits, should it turn out he's alive.
I must, however, stand by the notion that he was, always and forever, at the very least an annoying little shit.

>>33483710
Yeah, I at least want him to be in a one-off or two, maybe a vague reference to him doing his own thing.

>>
>>33483857

>>
>>33483814

I think the main problem with Shippo was that he didn't really contribute much with his presence. He was a typical kid type character with no noteworthy powersets, and was only able to contribute to the group effort on a sporadic basis.

He wasn't particularly offensive, but I don't think that the series would lose much if Shippo wasn't in there.
>>
>>33483857

You grin and nod, turning your back to the rest of the group so you can keep watch on the forest which thankfully fades into the distance leaving you walking along a dirt path in a valley with only ankle high grass and a few shrubs to hide in.

Butterflies dip in and out of the fields and you hear a river running nearby, however your daydream quickly ends. The air around Inuyasha gets tense.

“This an’t gunna be pretty.” He growls through gritted teeth. Moments later it hits you. The smell of rotting flesh and smoldering wood. The color drains from Keisuke’s face as he begins jogging down the earthen path despite his heavy load. You struggle to keep pace with your own backpack. Your two demons flanking him as you near the walled village in the rapidly approaching distance.

Keisuke drops his pack the second he crosses the threshold of the towns tall gates and sprints for a nearby pile of collapsed lumber. The stench of decay and flame fills your nostrils. Around you laid bare is the evidence of war. Charred bodies on pikes line the reddened streets, corpses stacked in piles or shoddily buried or burned dot the now barren landscape of the town. Homes and buildings having been scorched or ripped apart. Those few left standing at least.

Inuyasha and Yura look about, dumbfounded by the destruction. A loud bang, wood on wood, breaks you from your trance. Kneeling in the rubble and cradling a body is Kujo Keisuke. He screams.

Deeper in the town is a man in a strange cloak accompanied by several soldiers on horseback and a woman in a kimono.

Think of him being like an Elf.* Why does an Elf need 50 years to grow up? The Monsters Manual says so. It's stupid, but this way you can relate.

* Since Yokai are pretty much the Japanese version of the Fair Folk, it's quite apt. And take a wild guess at how many Yokai have been translated as "goblin" or "elf" in English books back during the 19th century and early 20th century.

Wonder why Naraku has soldiers accompanying him, though. He doesn't seem like the type to use non-grown minions.

As far as schedule goes, I'm OK with Thursday.
>>
>>33484033
...shit. The Baboonbot's moving already?
And he's hoodwinked some demon hunters too, at a guess.
Inu doesn't even have his sword of +10 beamspam yet.

We're gonna get stomped, arent we?
>>
>>33484146
The first time he pops up, he impersonates a lord and takes control of a castle and all the guards. A common thing for demons to do in Inuyasha, that's for sure.
>>
>>33484033
I'm fine with thursday.

Also, so that one guy that never saw the anime knows, Naraku is basically the worst person, and pretty far out of our league at the moment.
>>
>>33484033
Well I am full terrified.

Thanks for running Snow, good times!
>>
>>33484174
ok so skull boy here is looking for a fight whats so scary about him what he got like 20 knives under that snuggie of his?

We wish that is all he has. His mind alone is sharper than 20 knives.

Oh course, why is he out in the open and not in some disguise? Now that is the scary part...
>>
>>33484243
I'm under the impression that I want those damn Shinigami powers already, especially if we're going to have to fight a high-threat boss w/o Inu having Tessaiga.
I doubt we'll be fighting Naraku himself, but demon hunters tend to be kind of badass.
Sango especially.

>>33484234
>20 knives under his snuggie
More like several thousand demons and enough power to OHKO anyone in our party.
>>
>>33484392

Clearly, we need to find a way for Kagome absorb the souls of whatever she kills/beats on enough so that she can eventually become absurdly strong and possibly curtail Naraku's regeneration.
>>
>>33484033
well in anycase thanks for the run snow see you next week

>>33484234
Welp, from my vague recollections of the series...
Imagine something bullshit and horrible. Chances are he can probably do it.
Now add volatile, disgusting tentacles, some mild mind control, and a few other assorted fetish-fuel abilities used for distinctly horrifying non-fetishy ends.
Now consider he has a great deal of practical experience in the use of these abilities, as well as a mastery of intrigue, strategy, tactics, stealth, disguise, acting, and beating people's faces in.
Then consider the fact that he's pretty damn good at fake body puppetry, and as a result 90% of his appearances were essentially 'haha, really a Baboonbot', and that as a result of this he's generally owning everyone across all of feudal Japan at the same time without ever bothering to show up in person.
THEN consider the fact that he's perfectly capable of zerg rushing us with a few thousand demons with an errant thought.
And finally, consider the fact that he might not bother to use any of this against us at all, because chances are he can quite easily array everyone that isn't us against us.
...
Yeah, now that I've written it down, I'm a little more worried.
In some senses, Naraku may well be almost as bullshit as Aizen.
We are. So screwed.

...or maybe I'm completely misremembering things. Anyone else see something off?
>>
>>33484564
well when you put it like that what is snow thinking when he is throwing THAT at us
>>
>>33484373
A sharp mind? Are you joking?
naraku was a brute force big bad that pretended he was a puppet master. If anything his main super power was finding really gullable and stupid people to do 10 minuttes of work before he twirled his moustasche and clumsily tried to backstab them. He's about as effective as Lord Zed.
>>
Good news everyone!
not!Urahara isn't not!instantdeathbaboonman!

Wonder how them duke boys'r gnna get outta this pickle
>>
>>33484564
>...or maybe I'm completely misremembering things. Anyone else see something off?

No, that's pretty much on the spot. Funny thing is, I had to drop Bleach half-way through the second season/rescue arc because YTV stopped playing anime and moved it to a specialty channel.

>>33484463
No problem. I have ten of the same model, so any opportunity for new uses was welcome. Plus it gave me the opportunity to refine some techniques.
Hmmm, maybe I can see how easy guns would be next...
>>
hey Snow, would looking for allies and time portals in China be useful at all, or are Japanese myths the only ones that are true?

And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

-Revelations 11:8

not sure if right, but that's all I've got. I don't remember any symbolism of 11 and 8 in Japanese mythology.
>>
if it has something to do with episodes, 11 is the one with the possessed mask and 8 is the one where they meet the guy that isn't Oda Nobonaga

Fell asleep midway, just finished reading.

Good game.
>>
Does the power of the jewel let us turn demons into humans? Because I'm imagining Yuras rage if that happened and its just delicious. Not something for anytime soon but a thing to consider.
>>
>>33488218
It can turn humans into demons if I remember the lore right, but only if it's corrupted enough.

Back to the situation:
Without using metagaming knowledge lets late a look at the scene. It's stated that the smell of burning wood and rotting flesh fills the village. There's no way this "cloak guy" could have done this if the corpses are already decomposing. This said, the fact that parts of the town still seem to be burning or finishing their burn seems strange.
>>
Why Snow? WHY?!
This played in my head the second I read that last line: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1hYCdvMubs
>>
>>33488709
He might have, but that means he has come kind of power related to corpses. You know, making them rot quicker or slower, animate them, that kind of thing
>>
>>33490567
We really don't know a damn thing about this guy in character or what the limitations of demonic power are or even if he is a demon.
This seems needlessly showy if he just wanted to steamroll a village for some slight.

metagame knowledge though, he is the greatest satan, but he has no powers over corpses If the woman is who I think it is, she can solo us 300 times over without lifting a finger though.
>>
So, Naraku, woman in a kimono, and several soldiers.

Watch they have no idea what's happened either...the soldiers haven't been described as bloody yet. They might have only just arrived as well.
>>
>>33490818
I really hope that's the case (not to mention I hadn't considered it). We're nowhere near in shape to fight right now and we have no idea how many mounted soldiers are with him to boot.
Not to mention we are so far off the rails, the very concept of them is but a faded memory. I have no idea how useful metaknowledge will be at this point in the story.
>>
>>33490873
At this point, why would Naraku even need to resort to violently attacking us. We aren't on a quest for the jewel shards abroad, there is not competition to draw us to direct conflict.

Instead, the rival of his unrequited love is here with the girl's reincarnation. The whole jewel he needs is but within her, and why would he bother breaking cover for immediate violence when instead a more delicate hand is necessary.
>>
>>33491019
>why would he bother breaking cover for immediate violence
because he can just rotfstomp everyone here and take everything he wants then if he needs to he can kill the soldiers if they protest and just blame it all on us since we'd be dead or jeweless anyway.
>>
>>33491019
That is even assuming he knows we have it on us as far as he can tell we are just a bunch of random dudes who just showed up
>>
>>33491188
He knows Inuyasha, but other than that yeah we're just random schmucks. Hopefully anyway, since I'm pretty sure that woman is Kagura.

My betting is that Koga's pack killed these people and Naraku's trying to find strong demons for some plot not involving the Jewel
>>
>>33491688
Oh shit now that you mention it I sort of remember an interlude about the aftermath of a village attack...
>>
>>33491688
well since the demon hunters probably aren't total incompetents in this one, Naraku might need an army to defend against them. They could end up stalemating and be fighting a secret war until the modern day, hence why there are organized demon hunters in our time
>>
>>33492010
What if that suited guy from the last thread is future Naraku?
>>
>>33491688
why was he even after the jewel in the first place from what i hear of him he did not really need it
>>
>>33494138
He was, just like Inuyasha, a half-demon. (Although he had quite a different origin than the Mutt) He spent most of the series looking for ways to become a full demon, the jewel being the easiest way.
>>
>>33494310
Most of the reason behind that being to finally rid himself of his "human heart" so he could kill la kill Kikyo if my memory is right.
Not really any grand end goals. Just:
1. Be a dick
2. Become Full Demon
3. Kill Kikyo
4. ???
>>
>>33494518
right so no mater what don't tell this guy we have it in us or he will rip us to bits got it
>>
>>33494609
Will how drastically we've deviated from the core of the original This might not even BE Naraku. Hell if it is, he might even be a good guy.
>>
>>33494844
no
we might end up siding with him occasionally in this continuity, but Naraku will never be a 'good guy.' His only motivation is removing any bit of emotion or remorse from himself so he can permakill the only woman he loved.
>>
Hey now, just because you're a career psycho in a body made up of a swarm of demons hellbent of crushing everything your human side ever loved including your human side doesn't make you a badguy.
it would howeveer make you pretty edgy.
>>
Saving bump for interlude
>>
>>33496379

>>
>>33495218

Don't forget that he has a wicked spider tattoo on his back!
>>
You snuck away from your family. Your friends… and for a fools errand. You come to a stop. Panting and out of breath. You’re not used to the thicker air of the valley. The leaves and wind at your back finally catch up and crash into you. He made a promise.

You breathe deep and exhale, slowing your heart rate and stabilizing your breathing. The things people are saying about him can’t possibly be true. You’ll find him. You’ll find him and prove it. Then he’ll have to keep his promise.

The wind begins to stir once more. You adjust your cloak. It’s time to go.

----------

You’ve been traveling with your lord for as long as you can remember. He doesn’t speak to you much, but you don’t mind. Simply being allowed in his presence is honor enough.

The blackened sky overhead cracks as water begins pouring from the heavens. You rush, panicked, not wanting to see your master in discomfort. He pays little heed to the rain however. You take a moment to marvel once more at his stoicism.

He stops and points to a well-kept tomb on a hill overlooking a valley. You quickly rush to stand in place, planting yourself under your lords finger. A shriek.

Your master’s expression does not change. He simply turns and walks away toward the village in the distance. You can sense it too. HE was here… recently. You shake the stray thought from your head and press on, racing to keep in step. One day your lord will have what is rightfully his.
