In a World of Darkness and Light, Monsters and Men, Dragons and Griffins, Witches and Mages, Heroes and Legends, Kingdoms and Empire's, there is much strife and war. Peace in all four corners of the world is a very rare thing of beauty. Kings and Emperors are fighting for power and land on both battlefields and at court. However, you're not part of this struggle for power, not yet. For reasons unknown you don't remember your life as a human nor the torture you went through to become what you are today; A twisted being of dark magic, your body has been mutilated and corrupted beyond its limits. However, like many dark beings before you, you've been chained by the power that rules behind the scenes of politics and war in this world; The Holy Church.

Created by darkness and leashed by the light, you're a monster under the Church's will. You are an Inquisitor, the last of its kind. Once a man, twisted by magic, you now serve the Church as a hunter or a judge against monsters, witches, renegade mages and all the evil that oppose the holy order.

Several caravans filled with supplies and riches such as steel, food, bags filled with gold, leather, iron, bronze, wool, feathers, pelts, herbs, various animal parts and more. Caravans were dragged by either horses or large grey wolves, the latter being leashed by Monsters. Yes, at the border of the Hinterlands and the Iron Kingdom many human and monster caravans entered and left on a daily bases. The border was heavily guarded by Dwarves incased in thier thick and black steel armours, beards sticking out through the helmets of some of them. This border and the Iron Kingdom served as neutral ground between the two warring empires of the realm. None of them dared attack the other in fear of upsetting the dwarves. It wasn't the might of the Iron Kingdom they feared; It was the influence and control it had over both Empires in these times of war. Both empires were deeply indebted to the dwarves in form of both gold, steel and blood. They still needed the high quality and quantity of supplies and wares that the Iron Kingdom could produce, so getting on the dwarves bad side would not end well.

Watching the different carts rolling by, Benjamin tried to contain his excitement the best he could by staying quiet, but judging by the wide smile painted on his face his feelings were obvious. Autumn casually let her right hand rest on the hilt of her sword as the three of you walked past caravans lead by both humans and monsters. You've seen large wolves before, but never so tame as these ones. They didn't even batter an eye towards the humans or the horses next to them. As you walked onwards, you noticed that all the humans ignored you while every single monster, walking or riding, was staring at you and followed you with their gazes long after you had passed by. They all know who, or what, you are.

Upon reaching the checkpoint at the border, two dwarves approached you, one was without a helmet. His thick and long red beard reminded you of Autumn and she must have noticed it to because when you turned towards her, she gave you the 'don't you dare say it' look. “Alright, how many are you and what are you bringing into the Iron Kingdom?”, the red bearded dwarf asked, eyeing the three of you. He didn't seem to care much whom any of you were.

“I am Commander Autumn Visiil, Templar and servant of the Holy Order.”, Autumn introduced herself and pointed towards you and Benjamin, “My dog and a Paladin Squire. We only carry what you can see before you.”, he noted and to your amusement, the dwarf wrote it down and didn't correct her about the 'dog' part. Oh, he knows who you are alright. “Everything seems to be in order, carry on.”, he said absentminded before moving on to the next pair of people about to cross into the Iron Kingdom. The three of you continued your march north.

“That was easy.”, Benjamin whispered under his breath before speaking up, “So where are we going now?”. You could feel both of them staring into your back as you continued to walk north.

"The nearby Church", is the decision you make. There's a town near the church you've forgetten the name of, but you remember the hill overlooking the town clearly from your past visits up north. After walking for three hours away from the borders, you mark the spot and start making rune circles with your cray in the hard ground. Three hexagrams for three people, six runes inside each and then a circle around it all to finish it off.

"Are we teleporting again?", Benjamin asks wearily. He still remembers the last time he teleported from Greensberg to the Hinterlands. He puked up his breakfast. You nod at him before you start repeating the words etched into your mind. Soon enough the hexagram, the runes and the circle is glowing with a faint light. After both Autumn and Benjamin has walked into it and disappeared in a flash, you follow them before the portal closes to make sure no one follows you through.

You find yourself in front of a bent over Benjamin who is puking. Backing away from him, you notice that Autumn is scanning the village below. Nothing noteworthy of it, but the Church is nearby this hill. "Get yourself together, Benjamin. We have to move.", you command him before you turn about and start to climb the hill behind the one you're standing on. Upon reaching the top you can see the church where it was built in the little valley below. A dirt road leading down is to your right and you follow it while Benjamin struggles to get up the hill and Autumn tries to help him. By the time you're all finally in front of the church, the sun hasn't moved very far.

With a short knock, Autumn opens the church gates and walks in with you and Benjamin in tow. The main hall is mostly empty and it's quiet. Almost too quiet. You note that there's no priests or priestesses around nor any Templars on guard duty. There's not even any squires or crusaders about either.

"Weird", Benjamin mutters, as if he had read your mind. The three of you continue to scout the place, but with every room you find abandoned, the more you start to come to terms with the fact that this church might have be devoid of life before you came here. What happened to the priests, squires, Templars and the high priest, you don't know.

"Let's check the high priests study.", Autumn suggests before she makes her way towards the stairs down the hallway.

>A. "No. Let's leave."
>B. Agree with Autumn and follow her.
>C. Agree with Autumn, but take point.
>D. Let Autumn and Benjamin go to the study themselves while you wait in the hallway.

We'll cover here, it's probably a trap or somehing

I have to leave now, as I have a life, unfortunately. GM, perhaps, this is to be used as a last resort, but, perhaps consider advertising on /qtg/ ? I'll check your thread later, best of luck

Let them check out the study while you teleport to the King in the Mountains. I want to meet him without some bitch referring to us as her pet.

No point continuing with only 2 voters.

Sorry people, not happening today.
>>
>>33516434
Maybe you should get rid of the 5 minutes until voting rule. It just slows the quest down.
>>
>>33516486
Was implimented to give people a chance to thik out something for writeins and avoid samefagging as much as possible. People wanted it, so I did it.
>>
>>33516434
3 voters is hardly that bad.

>>33516505
That's rarely an issue outside hugely popular or extremely fast-updating quests really.
>>
>>33516505
Yeah, but I think it might be turning away regular voters. Might want to do what other QMs do and resort to final destination posting if a vote seem contentious.
>>
>>33516535
I can only see 2 though.

And I've seen samefagging in this quest since thread 0.

>>33516539
No idea what final destination is. No one has mentioned it before and It wasn't written in the QM directory.
>>
>>33516585
Final destination voting takes advantage of the fact that you can't post the message in a five minute period.

>Assign numbers to the choices
>You can only post the number
>Anything else is disqualified
>Close the vote after 5 minutes

That's basically final destination.
>>
You quest is not really lifeless, there are a few players around at any time. If you were looking to have a quest with dozen players and can not be satisfied with this, there is nothing to it then. Good luck.
>>
Remember that some people also don't participate in every vote.
>>
>>33516772
>the fact that you can't post the same message

Fixed
>>
There is no point in final destination voting in a quest with a couple of voters.
>>
So your quest isn't immensely popular 4 threads in, that's not a huge deal.

I'm currently at work, and will participate when I get home. Your quest is interesting and will gain a larger amount of followers in time. If you can't have patience you might as well not run.

QM said on twitter they're quitting QMing.
Which seems a bit premature. Even if it's a slow thread, it could just be that coincidentally, few readers are around/checked for the thread.

>Signing out as a QM. Maybe I don't have the motivation for it, but it's pointless to write with zero activity or only 1 voter.
