As you sit in front of the empty breakfast tray, you let out a nervous chuckle. You are sitting alone in the room of a longtime friend whose relationship with you is in the early stages of a massive and pleasant upheaval. Hanako's room is very nice and very neat despite the girl's more personally chaotic tendencies.

You imagine it's more of a reflection of the way in which she carries herself in her grandfather's house than it is the way she presents herself to the world. Which is of course okay, you completely understand having such split behavioral patterns. Until recently your entire was was a carefully split behavior pattern.

You are Tsubasa Campbell, a quarter gaijin gal in her mid twenties who recently got her masters in engineering. Thanks to an unexpected industrial accident you've gone from being a four foot nothing flat runt to a six foot plus muscularly cut woman with a bombshell figure in a little over a month. These rapid changes have helped you make massive strides toward personal goals you never thought possible and given your previously unthinkable attractions, and unknowable appetites.

The rapid nature of your growth is linked to the mysterious nanotechnology involved in your accident, bonded to you on a level you have yet to properly ascertain. Beyond your growth it has gifted you with wondrous and terrible powers. So far you have made both petty and heroic use of these abilities, especially knowing there are those in the world who would exploit the powers you possess in ways that are likely against your ethical stance and moral outlook. Ways what include likely civilian casualties.
>>
>>33559854
This morning you are in your friend (though the nature of your friendship is rapidly accelerating toward something society might find illicit and immoral) Hanako's room and waiting for her to return so you can go learn makeup from her fraternal twin sister. Said sister is also presently embroiled in a forced engagement to marry a gangster because of the shared righteous stupidity of her and your own youth. It is your intent to use your newfound powers to find some means of securing her freedom from marriage to Yuichi Dojima, notorious head of the Dojima Yakuza family.

Additionally you have a standing invitation to visit the company whose secret found ancient technology turned you into a living fission capable being of mass destruction, Mori Micro Industries. It might be good to finally touch base with them and see if they can help you deal with the people who have been provoking you, called The Clergy. Psychopaths who know how to manipulate this tech, and whose agents have attacked you and threatened the people around you. Hmmm...maybe MMI can help you with that AND your Yakuza problem.

Once you find out what they want from you, anyway.

>Wait patiently for Hanako's return.

>Snoop around her room without leaving your seat, because super powers.

Leaning back on the cushion you relax your senses and explore Hanako’s room. Clothing storage behind sliding paper walls. A recessed desk and workspace hidden from view. Storage underneath her tatami mats.

Nothing unusual. Her books, her movies, her computer. Assorted chargers. Rows upon rows of decent and high end clothing and shoes within the expansive closet space. Deep within the closet are tons of risque pieces of lingerie and party outfits. Then, something sparks your curiosity. Beneath the albums of family photos and personal effects in the tatami mat beneath her bed, there is a hidden compartment.

Opening your senses to it you find a few objects of...suggestive purpose and shape among a few periodicals the content of which you can readily guess. Withdrawing your awareness from it, you take notice of a small leather bound books amid the photo albums.

Mmmm, leather. No, its nothing salacious, and you can clearly feel the indentation across the cover as the Kanji for diary. Tucked inside the cover is single photo, and as its chemical stained array becomes clear to you, you can’t help but blush innocently (particularly after the not so innocent blush of her hidden collection). Its a photo of you, as you were. Winter coat open some time during freshman year of college after you’d first met, arms spread wide balancing atop the oversized head statue of the University’s founder in the courtyard.

With a snap you are brought back to the world as Hanako slides open the door to her room, freshly dressed. She looks at your blushing state curiously.

“Hitomi is ready for your early if you’d like,” she smiles, “I know you might have a great many things to take care of today, so I thought you might appreciate knowing that. I’m not interrupting anything, am I?”

Rising from the mat, you stretch your back and legs after having sat for so long.

“No, lets go put my face on,” you smile and walk toward her.

Moving past her in the doorway, you lean over and speak to her softly.

“You’re the best, Hanako-chan,”

She blushes at your praise and looks away self conscious before returning your close gaze.

“We’ll see if you still think that after tonight,” she lightly huffs, “the trainers in my aerobics classes have told me I’m difficult,”

“Well, as long as you’ve prepped me for it, I can’t really fault you now can I?” you smile smoothly and stride into the hall, “So, lead the way to Hitomi,”

With a nod she leads you through the outer halls of the estate and under canopied walkways. The gardens between the house and wall remind you superficially of the bloody courtyard from that day years ago. Where as that place seemed, utilitarian, this one seems far more carefully and lovingly tended.

Sliding a door, she ushers you into a room similar to her own. There is a wide vanity exposed by a sliding wall panel and all manner of ancient and modern makeups are carefully arrayed. Setting down a small tin of lip gloss with which you admit no familiarity is Hitomi. Her face is plain, matte. No additional color, not blush, no nothing. Her skin is a bit on the pale side and bares a certain flatness you are not used to seeing in her. She has either not put on her face today or has washed what work she has done clear with the purpose of using herself as a point of example for you to follow.

She seems tired, but is doing her darndest to not let it show and put her usual calmed face forward.

“Good morning, Hitomi,” you smile and stride into the room unphased by her lack of appearance, “thanks for taking the time to help me with this; I’ll warn you though, I have no idea what I’m doing with this stuff,”

She nods and walks across the room.

“And good morning to you, Tsubasa,” her greeting seems devoid of the scolding she gave you yesterday, “We’ll just cover the basics today. I’ve had a few thoughts about how to go over this with you. First, please watch me,”

Sitting beside her in front of the vanity, you watch in the mirror as Hanako sits on her sister’s bed to watch. The heavier of the sisters hums to herself happily as Hitomi goes through some basic steps for you to observe.

Slowly she applies a foundation, which she has matched to the normally pale color of her skin. She explains the purpose of foundation to make removing makeup easier later, as well as to match your overall tone if your skin perhaps bares any spaces of uneven color. Due to her clear complexion, she eschews applying concealer but explains its purpose and concept to you.

Luckily neither of you have need of it.

Next she selects a warm and reddish blush to apply above her cheeks. The color is applied sparingly and doesn’t stand out too noticeably, but she appears more like herself after its on. More like the Hitomi you are familiar with. The transformative potential astounds you and intrigues you.
>>
>>33562494
With a dark pencil, she carefully applies an outline around her eyes and explains it serves the purpose of making them stand out more, as is also the purpose of eye shadow. She doesn’t often make use of eyeshadow, nor anything else to do with her lashes such as mascara. She goes on about minor touches to follow up with, proper grooming and darkening or lightening of eyebrows.

Lastly she applies a lipstick only a few shades brighter than her natural color, and her illusion of self is complete. She explains that changes to pattern and color can help convey a mood or mindset to others, which goes a bit over your head.

Having watched her carefully, she starts you off with a few foundation options to choose from of varying shade to choose and try to match from, as well as peach colored blush to compliment your hair.

...okay. You can do this.

Two choices

First
>Try to follow her technique and match foundation to your skin tone

Second
>Attack this, aggressively

So, we know that Tomoe has been watching us these past few weeks as we strip down and work out in our apartment.
Should we just invite her in, get her (or MMI) to pay for part of the rent? It's not like it's anything she hasn't seen before, and at least this way we can get her to help feed our exhibitionism kink as well as with our rent and grocery bill, maybe even see if she's any good at cooking, considering how much we eat now.
>>
>>33562759
Hmmm, well we can try it out at least. But Hanako might get jealous as fuck.
>>
>>33562773
What if we decide we like making Hanako jealous? Or is that too mean for Tsubasa?
>>
Looks like we're going to follow her technique and match

And we're doing this cautiously

Give me a moment to request a die roll after I calculate a pool.
>>
>>33562829
Hmmm, well a little jealous probably isn't, but no purposely flirting with other people or belittling her jealousy though. Things like rooming with Tomoe might be cool.
>>
>>33562773
I suppose we could talk with her about it in private.
She knows that Tomoe has been shadowing us, watching as we work out and..."work out".
Tomoe even said so right in front of Hanako and her reaction was not jealousy.
>>
>>33562877
Yeah, we can ask her. But with the mistress talk, we better make sure she doesn't just accept because she feels guilty over that.

I might suggest trying to commit the results and her advice on coloring to memory as best we can.

Are you sure you understand what the term 'mistress' means in this context?
In order for her to be our mistress, we'd need to be in a committed relationship of some kind with someone other than her.
Technically, we aren't her mistress yet either.

Ideally, we'll actually be able to reveal that we're a shapeshifter to her at some point before she has to be married and invalidate the title.

>A mistress is a long-term female lover and companion who is not married to her partner, especially when her partner is married.
>The relationship generally is stable and at least semi-permanent; however, the couple does not live together openly.
>Also the relationship is usually, but not always, secret. There is an implication that a mistress may be "kept"—i.e., that the lover is paying for some of the woman's living expenses.
>>
>>33563531
I'd prefer us being the Mistress.. in the "Yes, Mistress" sense of the word.
>>
>>33563647
In that case...we'd still be her mistress.

Okay. You move with caution as you apply the foundation. Careful not to smear too much across your face, you apply it evenly and without caking. The tone is smooth and even. The lightest touch of peach blush across your cheeks makes them stand out, and true to Hitomi’s suggestion...its…

The person in the mirror is you. A you that you hadn’t seen since you were very small, something you’d forgotten. The fading memories of your standing on a stool beside your mother as she applied her own makeup when you were small. Things you’d long forgotten to fire and twisting metal.

Wordlessly and slowly you apply the eyeliner, slowly embracing a piece of traditional femininity that you never thought of as being within your reach.

When you finish, Hitomi gives you a smile.

“Excellent job, Tsubasa,” she praises.

“Yeah, Tsubasa-chan is so cute!” Hanako cheers from the bedside before hopping up and closing the distance across the room to get a better look at you.

You remain only aware of both of them in the periphery of your vision as you idly seek out a familiar color from the tubes of lipstick. Its the same shade of red as your hair, the same deep and vibrant red shade she would wear because it matched her own as well.

Pushing the bench back away from the mirror you stand slowly. Your breathing is quickening but you steady it, your eyes get a bit misty but you feel the moisture receding because you will it so.

“Tsubasa-chan?” Hanako asks with some curiosity before Hitomi lays a hand on her shoulder.

Looking away from the mirror you list slowly toward the door. Holding yourself against the weak frame, you look back over your shoulder toward the twins and muster your best smile. They saw your face already, the same face you saw reacting in the mirror. Still, its meant to assuage their concern. For that purpose it is a good smile.

“I just need a minute,” you force a laugh and adjust your red jacket, “gotta get some air,”

“Tsubasa-chan…” Hanako replies weakly and concerned.

The same words, so different with the right inflection.

Sliding the door closed behind you, you step off the raised and polished wooden flooring and step onto a path of round stones into the garden. Pulling off your jacket, you leave it draped on the edge of the polished walkway before stepping out into the garden. Rolling your bare shoulders you follow the path until you are out of sight of the door and are alone in front of a koi pond.

Its...difficult thinking about your parents, about your mother. They’re a subject you’ve avoided, you acknowledge that they existed and that you probably loved them...but whenever they’re brought up as...as who they were it gets a bit much for you to handle.

You miss them, but can barely remember them. Part of the lovely trauma of the accident, and maybe now you can undo that. Maybe now you can take back every memory you have been unable to face.

No. Not yet. Not right now.
>>
>>33565597

Sitting a moment before the Koi pond, you listen to the ripple of water when the fish touch the surface. Its soothing. Its nice to gather your focus and be alone.

Hmm...they’d probably from on you lighting up a smoke right now. Crap, you don’t have a pack on you anyway.

“My granddaughters were right,” a stern voice calls from behind you unexpectedly, “You have changed quite a bit, young Campbell,”

Looking over your shoulder in surprise, you see an older man of average height and with wild white hair and thick moustache. His garb is traditional, a comfortable patterned robe like shirt and hakama pants of matching beige hue. The elder and head of the Yukimura household.

Kojima Yukimura

>Hey old man. Long time no see. (greet him as you had in the past, with certain indifference and stay seated before the Koi pond)

“Hey old man,” you smile over your shoulder once you stilled your surprise at being snuck up on, “Long time no see,”

His voice remains stern as he walks up beside you and looks over the Koi pond, arms crossed behind his back. He shakes his head in a familiar manner and pauses.

“Hmmm, despite appearances it seems not all that much has changed,” you see him crack a thin smile beneath his moustache, “Though it does seem like Hitomi has helped you make some progress,”

This is good. This is a quick distraction from old memories. And he complimented your makeup work, it gives you a deep feeling of pride and some mild embarrassment.

“Yeah, its not so shabby for a first timer, huh,”

“Not at all. Though I could ask what you’re doing out here instead of continuing under her tutelage,” he returns his eyes to the Koi.

Remaining silent at his prodding, you look down and across your knees to the ground. After a moment, he breaks the tension.

“I know you have had your share of tragedies,” you speaks somberly, “but you and my girls are far too young to be so weighed down by unfortunate pasts,”

“Yeah, tell me about it,” you grouse and rise, towering over the man much to his surprise and then laughter, “What’s got you old man,”

“Hah, sorry child,” he calms himself, “I wasn’t expecting the scale. I recall when the girls first dragged you and your ruffian friends home to congregate. I remember thinking ‘who is this boisterous midget,’”

“Yeah yeah, yuk it up,” you grouse and cross your arms under your chest.

“Its a happy memory,” he concedes and sighs, “Do try to hold onto those. There are trying times ahead. You should get back to Hitomi and Hanako,”

Silently, he walks off further into the garden. You stand there a moment longer before turning and heading back. Behind you the sky darkens and a distant thunder sounds.
