You walk around in circles as you go through the recent events in your mind.

You are the heir of Aaflyn bloodline of mages; with your affinity of flesh you have begun practicing your ancestors’ art. The grimoire of your predecessors hangs by your waist, its single large eye looking at you puzzled.

The last week or so has been eventful as you discovered your heritage, met your childhood friend after years of not seeing each other, discovered that the same childhood friend has been used by a mage you only know as “The Doctor” to murder people, moved into the woods and killed a woman. Some time ago you called your father to find out that the police are looking for you. Not the best week you’ve had but certainly the most exciting one.

You slump down on the ground against a bleeding tree. The sun is almost going down, dyeing the sky of your Sanctuary a darker shade of red as Cecil is waking up, still naked and covered in the red liquid with the piece of her left ring finger still in your pocket. At least it’s not bleeding anymore.

You watch her awkwardly stumble to the shelter where she puts a kettle onto your campfire and starts preparing a coffee pot with a satisfied smile.

>You need a plan.

Talk to Cecil and heal her.
Get familiars watching the facility, police, our apartment, and our family.

ASAP: find the fire Mage, we need to know how this shit is normally covered up.

Leer at/grope Cecil, heal her. Tell me that during the bloody knife sex we were the one in control the whole time, because a power dynamic needs to be good here.

Have our dogs and cats look for the Fire Mage; we fucked up, and we need to ask the local Wizard Community for help on getting us out of this mess. Crows are to keep an eye on the Doctor's facility.

We need to get this shit under control.

We've gotten our dick wet, and given Cecils current mood she'll be eagerly scarrily happy to keep it dripping, so the next priority is safety.
Cecil is only as safe as we are now, which means our own safety becomes paramount.
Chief among that becomes three main factors:

Doctor -Destroy
Police -befriend or subvert
Fire Mage -befriend as ally?

These need to be our main goals, along while staying hidden and keeping everything on the low as much as possible.

Once we're safe, then we can work on Cecils emotional and mental state, practice our magic, go back to school, get our income sorted out etc. But all of that has to happen AFTER we're secure and sure.
>>
>>33649325
>we need to start going full shadowrun on our options and precautions
It's not just about thinking through actions and their logical consequences, it's also about not missing important details, especially ones that are spelled out explicitly, like the fact that Cecil's finger was bitten off, not just the tip, but an entire joint.
>>
>>33649710
>Fire Mage -befriend as ally?
I don't think that we'll be able to befriend him.
We need to swallow our pride and beg him and the other members of the local Wizard Community to not simply cut their losses and cut us loose, and instead help us try to cover this up.

And the biggest problem?
The Doctor is a member of the local Wizard Community, and is probably considered upstanding because none of his murders could be traced to him.
>>
>>33649812
Maybe, maybe not. Fire dude seemed very upset about the possibility that flesh we left behind was a person, so he might have a moral compass.
>>
>>33649971
>Fire dude seemed very upset about the possibility that flesh we left behind was a person
That's more likely because an obvious murder using magic would be more problematic, especially when the mage in question cast magic right in the open and left behind evidence instead of covering his tracks or using an untraceable third-party.
>>
>>33649971
To be fair, we had just caused a huge explosion in an inhabited and occupied apartment building, released a huge amount of mana, left behind what could have been a person dissolved down to just flesh and left just out in the open smeared across an apartment building.

That's like, the very definition of "things the Council says not to do".

>>33649325
>we need to start going full shadowrun
Careful, people might think you're being too srs bsns.

[X] Putting the familiars to work.

You just sit there for a while, admiring the girl’s body. You suppose most would find the sight of a girl covered in blood rather ghastly but you’ve grown accustomed to such since you began practicing magic and there is certainly something erotic about it…

Meanwhile, you mentally order your familiars to move, sending some of the idle crows to the police station, your family’s house and both your and Cecil’s apartment while telling the mammals to track down the fire mage you saw some days ago.

After the commands are given, your human familiar begins walking towards you without making any effort to cover herself, carrying two cups of coffee. She seems to be trying to be seductive but the awkward way she walks makes it come across as adorable. You chuck the coffee down your throat; momentarily wondering since when could you do that as Cecil sits on your lap.

>Cont.
>>
>>33650211

“H-hey, handsome.” She tries to sound seductive, utterly failing. Deciding now is not the time for this you assume a serious tone. “Show me your hand.” She does as you tell without much complaint outside of her usual “It’s fine”. It doesn’t take you long to whip up a simple ‘Restore’ that, while not restoring the lost meat and bone, at least fixes the wound, restoring skin and making it seem less like somebody just bit their finger off and more like an old wound. Sure, it’s still centimeters shorter than it’s supposed to be but at least you’re pretty sure it won’t get infected or anything. You really need to look into attaching living tissue to a person sometime.

“So here’s the deal, shit’s gotten serious and we’re wanted by the police and I need you to do whatever I tell you to, including not stabbing somebody unless I specifically tell you it’s alright. Got it?” Your foul mood clearly leaking into your voice, making Cecil turn neutral again as she nods before taking a sip of her extremely sugary coffee. You can tell she is suppressing her emotions. Perhaps that’s what she was doing all along?

>What do you do while waiting for reports from your familiars?

[] Go somewhere, you can’t just laze around. (Where?)
[] Read up on… (What?)
[] Possess a familiar and help with the search. (What kind of?)
[] (Write-in)

So, we're probably going to have to bribe the other wizards to not hold us down and Submission us to confess our crimes to the police (because seriously, that IS the easiest, most logical, and most secure method of cutting off the liability we have become).
We'll have to use up all of the stuff that our grandfather left us to pay them off.
That's EVERYTHING that our bloodline has to its name; the collected and amassed alchemic and runic materials of the entire Aaflyn lineage, and we're going to need to give it up to save ourselves from a mess of our own creation.
>>
>>33650233
Feel out Cecil's emotions, make sure she stable, grope her a little to show we're interested, but busy.
Talk with her, and start reading up about runes both to start our own power stuff, see about bloodless familiar binding, and arming Cecil for the future.
>>
>>33650239
I'm okay with this idea, though would a fire Mage even be able to use our flesh/binding lore?
>>
>>33650233
[x] (Write-in)
Talk with Cecil, walk to somewhere away from our Sanctuary. When our familiar confirms that there aren't any police at our house, call our dad.
"I'm not mad at you, Cecil. This was as much my fault, for not thinking things through and waiting for a better moment than when our target was surrounded by video cameras and people. I want you to let me feel you, alright?"

As for Dad:
"Dad, what's going on?"

And then consider putting the wifi unit and cellphone in a plastic bag, remove the batteries, and bury them somewhere for later retrieval.
>>
>>33650324
It's not the flesh lore or our grimoire; that can't be handed off.
I'm talking about the magic robes, the magic hat, the staff, the rune cylinders, and all of the obviously valuable alchemical reagents.
The kind of stuff that you just can't get without expending time, resources, and mana.
>>
>>33650233
>You really need to look into attaching living tissue to a person sometime.
The longer we put this off, the harder it's going to get.
We can't reattach her finger anymore because it's been too long, when we probably could have done it if we had done it immediately after the binding.
>>
>>33650233
Cell phone liability needs to be dealt with.
Cecil needs to be reassured and made to open up to us, happily.
We can possess a familiar and just burn mana on a rooftop in a way that doesn't make flesh to get the fire mages attention?
>>
>>33650463
>just burn mana on a rooftop in a way that doesn't make flesh
No, that's not how magic works here.
Any use of mana results in the creation of flesh as a side-effect.
>>
>>33650535
So do it via the runes that we've got charged up?
>>
>>33650560
We need to know the correct runic combination to cast a spell with it, we would need to be the one to do it, since our familiars can't carry a 2-meter long metal rod, and we'd have to keep charging the cylinders after use which would still create flesh residue.

It seems that there are parts about the setting that have been explained that you are missing. Do you need a refresher course?

Not just dump them.
Remove the batteries, put them in a plastic bag, move away from the last location that the cell towers would have gotten from the devices, THEN hide them for later retrieval.

>>
>>33651075
It's possible and has happened. This quest just attracted a couple of randumbs right at the beginning. It set a bad precedent. As the quest audience grows larger, this might improve. Kind of the opposite of Joyful Paladin, which started with a reasonable crowd which is now diluted with popularity.
>>
>>33651161
>We should just do it while preping and being ready for the rest of the world.
The two are mutually exclusive, though.
Drinking the G.Tears made us lose our apartment, time, and put us on the Fire Mage's shit list.
Then going right after Mariana in the hospital, and STILL trying to question her even after we were told that there were video cameras on all approaches to the room, Cecil was acting weird about the chance to talk to Mariana, and the limitations of our magic.
>>
>>33651234
Oh, and sexing up Cecil instead of reattaching her finger, which we can't do now without using a higher-level and potentially dangerous healing spell which we may not be able to cast properly.
>>
>>33651234
>>33651262
To be honest the first shouldn't count. The first few readers will be random people of the internet and act like it.
The hospital thing was totally stupid, I agree. For the last one my excuse is that I misread the post and thought she had just bitten her finger enough to bleed. I didn't think she would just self-mutilate without a good reason, and only found out the truth too late. Also, that's not very important. Sexing her up might have been a terrible choice, though. Will probably add to her mental imbalance.
>>
>>33651389
as you can see, she is batshit insane at this point
>>
I'm still expecting someone to say that they don't understand why people want to win in a quest, and that it should be about the story and having fun.

>You can tell she is suppressing her emotions. Perhaps that’s what she was doing all along?
She's trying to manipulate us through sex.

She likely doesn't trust us. Which, from an outsider's perspective, is fairly reasonable considering the last mage forced her to kill people. Oh, and the whole flesh thing.
>>
>>33651418
Eh, I consider her a 7/10 yandere, totally workable or salvageable. The bloodlust and blood kink can be enjoyed/fixed over time, and she sees us as her savior of sorts.
All in all, I've had crazier girlfriends, and Cecil is by far still worth keeping and keeping happy, be it with our dick or some Called tentacles.
>>
>>33651504
>I've had crazier girlfriends
You've had a girlfriend that tortured a person for over an hour, slashing their legs, arms, and face and licking their blood off of the knife?
>>
>>33650657

[X] You found him?

You wrap your arms around the girl on your lap as you speak into her ear. “I’m not mad at you, I’m really not.” You brush her hair with your fingers. “You can always rely on me, tell me how you feel, what you want. I’m here for you. I just made a mistake and I don’t know how to fix this but I’m starting to get a plan together.” She snuggles up against your chest and you feel her relax a bit. Her emotions are under control though she’s less stiff. Considering what happened yesterday having her like this is good. You really don’t need her going berserk right now, above everything else.

After spending a while like that you open the grimoire for a quick lesson on runes; something that has interested you for some time now. Cecil still remains obvious to this, lying against you with her eyes closed. You some selective reading; not dwelling too deep into the theory behind the craft but you do manage to get some useful spells down.

>Charge, 3rd circle (2 hour preparations): Charges five runic cylinders with mana.

>Wave (Force + Strength + [ANY]): Sends a wave of something to a direction.
>Beam (Force + Power + [ANY]): Sends a focused beam of something.
>Decay (Death + Power + Life): Weakens the target.
>Heal (Life + Power + Death): Heals small wounds and cuts.
>Imbue (Life + Power): Imbues target with mana, improving their overall performance.

>Cont.

All spells casted by runes are almost instantaneous with a short delay between casting and the spell actually triggering. While it doesn’t leave casters affinity all over the place, the spells cast with runes are usually very simple.

You dig out the batteries of your cellphone, the wifi still being in the package and non-functional.

A burning pain strikes through you as one of the servant dogs accompanying your harbringer spontaneously combusts, which is followed by the sensation of the harbringers shoulder being penetrated by a sharp rod of steel and pinned down against the ground. A familiar looking mage steps in front of it.

“We need to talk.” The older man says, taking a seat on a nearby trashcan.

Well, you found him… sort of.

This was a normal Thursday, happening after she got me to let her blow other guys for gifts and practice so she'd be better at it for me.
>>
>>33651497
MIght be. The two used to be very close to each other before, though. In fact, it might just be that from her perspective her life went downhill at the same time she grew distant from us (after her mother's death). Then, one day we turn up and suddenly everything improves dramatically.

I assume she clings to us because we are the only friendly and familiar face in her whole life, keeping all the bad stuff away like a savior. We are her only life-line and she is knows everything will go to shit if we ever decide to disassociate ourselves from him. Therefore, she wants to stay as close as possible. All of this happens unconsciously, of course.

Have a crow come back to us, then take a note to him, asking to meet outside the city because of the police.
Go to the meeting alone, with a hoodie to hide our features.

>>
>>33651588
He wants to talk now, let him set the conditions.
Get less covered in blood, tell Cecil while we do, then start going, calling all familiar that are not currently watching the facility to us as a just in case measure.

We really, really need someone on our side right now, and he's the only other mage we know of that isn't actively against us.
>>
>>33652068
>and bring the g.tears with us to help explain things
That won't help explain things at all.
It would help explain the hole in our apartment, but it has nothing to do with the fact that we got caught on camera talking with a woman who died only an hour later, and our companion leaving her room covered in blood, and with all of the flesh being left around.
>>
>>33652144
It's a start, and it could be a bribe for him if he knows what they are.
The woman attacked us and our friend, flat and simple. We didn't think to clearly after that and we were still wound up from him nearly blowing us up.
>>
>>33651937
>She'll be a good example of why we're doing things, protect a friend and all. But if would be very dangerous yes.
I don't think having a visual aid will off-set having a crazy killer there at our negotiations and letting him know that we bound a human to ourselves.

If he doesn't believe us, then we can use a witness. Right now, I assume that either what the Doctor did was a wizard crime (by bringing a whole group of civilians into wizarding community AND having them bring in more humans to turn into slaves. Might violate the whole "keep a low profile" thing.) Or what the doctor did is ok with the current rules and they don't care about her.

I just hope we can play the card that we are new and don't know how to act. Then let him introduce us to the rules and start playing very strictly by those rules. He might even help us smooth things over with the police as keeping this a secret is in the interest of the community as a whole.

Having not known the extend of Cecil's craziness might excuse our mishap at the hospital. The thing at our apartment was a genuine accident as well.
>>
>>33652188
Being stupid and emotional is no excuse.
It might reduce a sentence in a court of law, but that doesn't excuse guilt or the mess we created.
>>
You seem to want to get him somewhere isolated enough that the cops won't notice, call all the familiars you can spare (not at the facility) and meeting him alone.

[X] Meeting.

You use one of your servant crows to send the man a message saying to meet in the outskirts while you take a moment to scatter as many of your familiars around in such way that you can tell if something approaches. The mage reads the message before executing the harbringer and cutting your direct feed from him.

Meanwhile, you need to get up which means Cecil has to let go of the front of your shirt. “I’ve got something to do. Just wait here, you can always talk to me over the link if something happens.” She doesn’t look satisfied with you reasoning but does let go after you give her a quick kiss.

With that done you grab the bottle of G’s tears and the runes before heading over to the place where you invited the mage. The familiars in the surroundings can tell his approach, floating with a staff in his hand. He arrives moments before you due to you having to park the moped a distance away from your chosen location and walking some time.

“So, what’s your explanation, kid?” His face looks stern and you can almost see the fire in his eyes.

If we bring up the Doctor, we run the risk of being told that he's at least doing things under the radar.
One of the only rules for wizards is to not step on toes unless you're ready for a fight; that the Fire Mage hasn't stepped on his toes even though he's been in this city long enough to have a Sanctuary, probably means that he knows about the Doctor's work and that he doesn't care.
>>
>>33653006
I meant the woman we killed, not the doctor. Mum on that until we know his opinion on the matter.
>>
Okay, should be in working condition now.
You seem to want to tell him you have no idea what you're doing and asking for help. Writing...
>>
>>33653072
He's going to ask us how we knew Mariana was a mass murderer, then.
Then that will just raise more questions, rather than just saying she attacked us with magic and that's why we hunted her down before she could do the same to us.

Also, the disregard that Mages have for familiars is pretty telling.
Either that, or he's just that pissed off at us.
>>
>>33653299
I think it better if we say we panicked and that's why we did what we did.
>>
>>33652838
Seconding this, the truth will set us free.
>>
>>33653336
Keep in mind, we don't have a full positive on other mages being able to make familiars, just a really good chance of it.
All the types and ways we can do it might be due to our affinity. There is to much we don't know.
>>
So far we have only reacted. Get magic powers: Test them. (apartment) Friend is attacked by magic: Kill the attacker. Searched for by magic group? Hide in the woods.

Actually, nothing we did is actually (entirely) our fault.
>>
>>33653378
>the truth will set us free.
>sith quote
We do need to start up some sith alchemy shit.
>>
>>33653422
>Actually, nothing we did is actually (entirely) our fault.
>We tested them right in our apartment in an occupied apartment building and blasted nearly a cow's worth of flesh at another apartment building across the street.
That could be excused by our inexperience, but it's still our fault.

>We were attacked by magic, so we retaliated against the attacker.
Fine, that's reasonable. But we then went into a hospital with video cameras in every hallway and corner, got our face on the security feeds, killed our attacker when she's still being treated and monitored by mundanes, and then left evidence all over the place.
That's our stupid fault.

>Search for by magic community and law enforcement, so go innawoods
No good choice here. Stay and be arrested, or go hide and have everyone take that as admission of guilt.
>>
>>33653634
It's not a good argument on its own, but combined with our "We are new and totally overwhelmed by all the happenings" it could work as a sort-of explanation. Of course we did stupid shit, but everyone already knows that.

[X] I don’t know what I’m doing.

“Long story short, one day I just got a book along with a letter of my grampa’s passing and then shit happened and I don’t know what the fuck I’m supposed to do. I need help; I need someone to explain to me what is going on.”

The man sighs and shakes his head before starting to rant while walking back and forth. “You know that just blasting you to hell would take a lot less time and effort than explaining all this to you but here’s the thing: I don’t care if you play with mortals, I don’t care if you play with mages, I don’t fucking care if you disappear and never get seen again. What I do care about is the fucking cops snooping all around the fucking city, looking for you. This was a peaceful place you know? Iwayom mostly keeps to himself, doing his little experiments in the outskirts; old man Belestor hasn’t left the old sewers in decades and the Upus brat died a week ago. Then you showed up and there are explosions and human remains and everything the cops need to start breaking down doors.
Here’s the deal: You take care of the cops, I don’t care how, and I don’t grill you. Nothing is more annoying than bunch of insects crawling up on my assets.”

He turns to look at you. “I will give you this one chance and I will give it to you because right now you’re more useful to me alive. Anything you’d like to ask before you go out there and get rid of the police?"

>Do you?

[]Actually… (Write-in)
[]Nope, nothing.
>>
>>33653953
Right then. How can we contact you if we need to, and who/what are those other mages?

Can we put submission or familiar bond into runes?
I sense that we're going down to the biggest station, finding our way inside to a nice sealed room, and carefully playing body snatcher with those spells until the entire police force is under our thumb.
Then we deal with Iwayom, harshly.
>>
>>33653953
[x]Actually… (Write-in)
"Look, I'm being honest here when I say I don't know what to do. How were things covered up before? What can I do to make this all die down? I know I need some patsy, but how should I do it?"
Get on our knees. And beg.

Also, wizard community not giving a shit about mass murder so long as it's subtle confirmed.
They are going to fucking kill us if we keep screwing up, and apparently they've got decades of resources, magic and experience over us.
>>
>>33654090
>I know I need some patsy
That's a great idea. Let's frame the shit out of someone.
>>
>>33653953
>Any advice on how to not leave flesh everywhere when using magic? Probably not, given what the books said, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
>>
>>33654114
The original idea from last thread was to try to frame Iwayom with the flesh and the killing.
But now we know that the wizard community prefers him to us, and they expect us to clean this up very soon.
Sooner than we can arrange the evidence to lead to Iwayom's place.
>>
>>33654114
>Dan
Holly shit we have our answer, now to make it believable.
>>
>>33654247
Who's Dan?
>>
>>33654492
Scummy drug dealer 'friend' that we know.
Could set it up as him extorting/threatening us and finally going off the deep end.
>>
>>33654492
A drug dealer we know.
We need to kidnap him away from people seeing us, use Submission, and make him into the Skinner.
We will likely also need to make him into a Familiar to get him to stick to the plan.

The problem is explaining all of the flesh, and the fact that it's all genetically ours.
This is the modern world; this case would have gone above local level, and state level, and gone national by bringing down federal investigators and getting federal forensics labs involved.

This plan needs to be air tight.
>>
>>33654578
We are a biochem major, he forced us to set up a stem cell lab or similar cause he's crazy?
>>
>>33654578
>the fact that it's all genetically ours.
I wonder if we could get one of our cats to hang around the police department so that we can try to find out via overhearing conversations what the police make of the genetically identical masses of flesh, of which if it came from a single person they should already be dead.
>>
>>33654578
We'll need to keep Elisa quiet as well, without hurting her preferably.
>>
>>33654578
And the fallout? Do we involve Cecil or leave her as 'missing' and let her become a true NEET under our care?
>>
>>33654610
>stem cell lab or similar cause he's crazy
Maybe he went crazy after watching American Psycho one too many times, and wanted a cheap and farmable source of human meat?

But the problem is, if this was true, then we'd be getting a fucking Nobel Prize in Biology for this kind of breakthrough. They're going to want to know the equipment for the lab came from, collect evidence from the lab, see the equipment and the notes.
Our college, professors, and biopharma firms all over the world would be demanding to know our secrets. Then there's DARPA.
>>
>>33654736
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrietta_Lacks
We can bs this.
>>
>>33654734
The problem is that she's on camera as leaving Mariana's room with a knife and covered in blood.

I don't know how we can explain her presence there.
For that matter, we are on camera with her, going to Mariana's room. So we need an explanation for that, too.
>>
>>33654804
Coerced and threatened into it, we haven't seen her since and she was used to try and keep control of us.
>>
>>33654790
We can BS the local cops, sure. But a serial killer investigation, with a killer caught on camera, would also bring in higher level agents, and also mean that experts would be brought in as consultants.

We can BS the local cop, but can we BS our professors, or national-level forensics labs?
>>
>>33654873
Do we have many other options? Soak the whole thing in every drug dan has and be justas confused as everyone else.
>>
>>33654899
Going forward with bad options instead of aborting the entire operation is what got us into this mess in the first place.
We need to either come up with a better plan, or more carefully plan this one so that it can actually stand up to scrutiny.
>>
>>33654944
point, but we're a little pressed for time.
>>
[X] How to?

“I don’t know what to do. How have others done it before?” You almost get on your knees to beg but the older mage proves to be surprisingly cooperative.

“Let’s see… Well, there was that one time when they had to replace the entire police force with puppets in the north and then slowly get rid of them over the decade in unfortunate accidents because nobody had the time to keep looking after them. Personally I’d just burn everything down but that’s becoming less and less useful these days. You could also frame somebody if you want. You’ll come up with something as have all the others.”

“Any advice on getting rid of all the flesh I leave behind wherever I go?”

“As you may have noticed, I don’t really have that problem but you could light the whole place on fire. Nobody’s going to question bunch of molten flesh in a burnt down house. Or if you want to be a bit more subtle, feed it to the animals.”

“Any way to contact you or somebody else if need be?”

“Sure, take my business card.” He throws you a steel plate with the name ‘Azhar industries’ and a phone number written on it.

“Now then, I have to be elsewhere.” He turns around and begins to walk away; throwing a fireball into an alleyway that hits one of your dog servants. “And remember what I said.”

With that, you are left alone in the warehouse surrounded by your familiars.

>What do you want to do?

[] Return to Sanctuary, you need a plan.
[] Go to the police.
[] Go elsewhere. (Where?)
[] (Write-in)
>>
>>33654978
Yes, we're pressed for time, but going ahead with a plan that will fail because we didn't prepare it right will still get us killed by this Fire Mage and the other wizards in the city.
>>
>>33655012
Go to police, all panicked, tell them someone captured us and kept us in The Doctor's place
>>
>>33655070
two birds with one stone, and if we bring Cecil in on it, we just have someone who was accually there
>>
>>33655012
Back home to plan, it is late and we need to think, read, and reassure Cecil.

Making Dan take the fall seems to be the best option, preferably in a way that makes it obvious he was the 'killer', was forcing us and Cecil, and that he goes down in a blaze if glory that takes most of the evidence with him so there is no one to question and the 'answers' are lost to the fire.
>>
>>33655012
>throwing a fireball into an alleyway that hits one of your dog servants
Oh for fuck's sake. That makes three dog familiars dead. We're going to need to get more animals to Bind at this rate.

>>33655070
>>33655088
Seriously? How fucking stupid are you two?
This is a terrible plan, since it does absolutely nothing to explain why we were at Mariana's hospital room or why Cecil was seen leaving Mariana's room putting away a knife and covered in blood.
>>
>>33655012
New plan:
>Bind some police officers.
>Have them find out what the police thinks.
>Have them remove or falsify gathered evidence.
Frame the whole incident as a big police fuck-up. Actually, that wasn't genetically the same flesh: We just mixed up our analyses of it. Also, only part of it was unidentified flesh, the rest was chicken soup (or something plausible)
>>
>>33655070
Do we really want to get the doctor involved now, or save him for when we're ready? Also, if you think Cecil can deal with cops right now..... I disagree
>>
>not using flesh powers to change your face
really?
>>
>>33655012
Questions:
>Can we turn ourselves into a hive-mind?
>If a new body is added to the hive, what happens to its memories/ soul/ mind
>>
>>33655139
None of our spells can do that.
We'd have to look through the book to see if there's any spells that can.

And it doesn't solve the problem of the other wizards wanting this police problem taken care of, or they'll simply kill us in order to make the police stop poking around.
>>
>>33655123
Cecil is fucking batshit, we convince her to go to a psych ward for a few months and we can play it off as us wanting to figure out what the fuck was going on, while cecil was emotionally distraught.
>>
>>33655128
This and blaming dan. Once things are calm for us, we move on to the doctor.

Send a cat into the sewers to look for the other Mage?
>>
>>33655215
She would be a demonstratable threat to both herself and others; she won't be getting out of a psych institute for years, if ever.
>>
>>33655257
>Send a cat into the sewers to look for the other Mage?
Why? Hope that a recluse like him would take pity on a stupid young mage and help us out?
Instead of coming after us in a fury for disturbing his privacy?
>>
>>33655308
Just to know where he is so we don't step on his toes, pin a note to the cat and everything. It's to be a good neighbor.
>>
>>33655271
thats where the emotionally distrought comes in, she was locked in a basement being tourtured for god knows how long, escapes and sees one of her captors in the hospital and being an emotional trainwreck because she was fucking tourtured for years decided to do the same thing to her.
>>
>>33655337
No, he's more likely to kill first and ask questions never until he's battered down the walls of our Sanctuary.
To even be in the general area of a wizard's Sanctuary, regardless of reason, is to be considered stepping on their toes.

>>33655366
A story which cursory investigation would find to be false, what with Cecil renting an apartment and having ordered figurines online, make withdrawals from her bank account, and evidence on her computer showing recent activity up to two days ago.
>>
>>33655128
Binding police officers is good.
The thing is to figure out a way to get one alone, not have their GPS tracked, not get caught on their dashcam/vest camera (depending on the city, police officers may have vest mounted cameras), and have them missing for the time it takes to complete the binding without raising suspicion.

Oh, and get rid of the flesh residue.
>>
Things look simple right now.
We make dan the patsy.
Infiltrate police/forensics to fix the flesh evidence.
Get Cecil to a state where she can either go 'missing' and stay with us in secret forever, or to reliably act her part like us.

Get all our crap together, THEN deal with the Doctor.
>>
>>33655430
So some wierdass neet found her wallet and started living out of her apartment the fact that she rarely left could be to our advantage.
>>
>>33655548
This would never stand up to scrutiny.
>>
>>33655012
So do you have an idea of what to do next? Go to the police station? Go home? Something else? You can keep planning, i just need to know what to put on the paper next.
>>
>>33655597
would you care to point out which parts? i'm not saying this is the best idea, but it certainly solves most of our prop
>>
>>33655642
Go home, talk to Cecil, plan out dans fall and our coming out smelling like roses.
>>
>>33655548
And where did this mysterious NEET go?
Or that dusting the keyboard for prints will only find Cecil's fingerprints while the browser cache will show that she was on it two mornings ago?
This hypothetical NEET would then need to have left behind absolutely no DNA or fingerprint trace in the entire apartment, while still leaving all of Cecil's prints and DNA completely intact.

Not thinking things through and not abandoning bad ideas just because they're presented as options, is what got us into this situation.

OP-offered options can be traps!
>>
>>33655656
Some random, missing person pretending to be Cecil, when she's been on camera. How we didn't just go to the cops in the first place upon escape, why we covered up anything.
Going now is all kinds of bad rushing, just like what got us here in the first place.
>>
>>33655642
Go somewhere else.
Use our remaining cats, dogs, and crows to get more familiars to us with promises of easy meat.
More stray cats, dogs, birds, and even rats if possible.

Then we'll go back to our Sanctuary and plan further.
>>
>>33655688
>>33655714
So all thats really left open is framing dan, which is going to be a little hard considering our flesh is litterally everywhere. That would have to be done over a long period of time with a lot of spying on police to be done well and that still doesnt even explain why we murdered some lady
>>
>>33655833
We infiltrate police to change the records, or use the cancer lump idea once we make one(bad idea).
We(Cecil) murdered under dans insane threats, plant some evidence of her pushing drugs for dan.
Keep in mind, we can possess dan to make this work, and once it's out there he can commit suicide by cop.
>>
How about we keep Cecil out of the Psyche Ward for now? Otherwise, I like the idea of blaming it all on the Doctor. For now, let's go back to our sanctuary.
>>
>>33655833
Yes, we're in a shitty situation where it's only likely to get worse.
This is what happens when you do something stupid.
>>
>>33655909
We really shouldn't involve the doctor yet, to many unknowns.
>>
I think we should have some long term goals.
>Bind some of the police force. Having cops on our side is a good thing
>Get a very carnivorous familiar, so we can feed it our flesh.
You know those tigers from the Mob Boss fight in Hotline Miami? Let's do that. A trip to the zoo is in order.
>>
>>33655909
>>33655096
You know we're down three familiars out of four dogs, right?
Our total Familiars were just cut by a third. That's 1/3. 33%.
>>
>>33655971
It sucks, but we can get more via strays, shelters, and maybe grow our own.
We can't grow time.
>>
>>33655963
>A trip to the zoo is in order.
Oh, that is even more stupid.
>>
>>33655963
Cameras, workers, well known animals, no transportation, not a pressing problem. Idea bad.
>>
>>33656000
Yes, but we need familiars as Hosts so that we can work and Bind/Submission people while we stay hidden in our Sanctuary...
Wait, I've an idea about how to clear our name concerning the Skinner.

We turn ourselves in. While we're in police custody and apparently asleep, we use Hosts to get more familiars and leave more flesh to be found. The forensic evidence would show the flesh as fresh, so we couldn't be the killer.

The problem is that it still doesn't clear Cecil or us being at Mariana's room.
>>
>>33655642

[X] Back to the planning table.

You have nothing to do here anymore. Somewhat relieved you exit the warehouse with one less familiar than before. At least you can’t get into any more trouble. Telling your familiars to go scout out the situation in town you head back to the Sanctuary.

Different plans, possibilities, race through your head as you ride on the small roads. You could frame someone. Dan has a criminal record, you’ve had to bail him before and you never really liked the guy. You could bind a police officer and tamper with the evidence to make it look like an error in the investigation. Or perhaps there’s some other way you haven’t thought of yet.

As you arrive to the Sanctuary you notice Cecil, now with the bloody shirt on, waving at you as you arrive with a plate of… something black that you suspect once having been canned beans. You walk up to her and give her a kiss before taking a seat by the campfire. You contemplate your possible courses of action as you eat the horrible abominations that were cooked for you, felling happy feelings from Cecil.

>Now then…

[] Talk to Cecil.
[] Go out and get more familiars. (City or woods?)
[] Time to get a plan started. (What do?)
[] Have your familiars do something. (What?)
[] Take Cecil somewhere. (Where?)
[] Go somewhere alone. (Where?)
[] Read up on… (Subject?)
[](Write-in)
>>
>>33655642
So here are the steps as I see them.
We go home to plan and comfort Cecil, and read whenever we aren't doing something else.
Gather more crows.
Keep watch on the Facility and the Police.
Learn to fly and use submission/binding through a crow.
Find Dan, make him so totally ours that he can't breath without wondering if we'd allow it.
Check histories, alibis, evidence, etc.
Start setting Dan up as the Skinner, plant evidence, crazy ramblings, etc.
Get at least one, if not more people in the forensics department/police force to help with the 'evidence' of all this. Do it via crows following them home, pick a few that live alone.

Check and double check the plan and story.
Dan goes crazy, threatens us, blows up our apartment while we're gone and throws flesh around cause crazy. We run to Cecil because no where else to go. Dan sends thugs after us, we run to our dads, then keep running out of fear.
Dan catches us, holds us hostage against eachother, is still crazy, makes us kill Mariana, then torture.
We can leave Cecil a bit cut up (she'll probably like it) if we can get her to act the part properly so she can walk out with us when it's all over.
Dan continues to leave evidence, we finally 'escape' and get to the cops, tell story.
Dan commits suicide by cop while resisting arrest, leaving behind all the evidence of it being him and clearing our names.

We deal with some red tape and try to avoid the media due to shock/trauma, then go back to normal lives and start planning how to deal with Doctor Iwayom.

Yes, this will take some luck, and a whole lot of checking and doublechecking of stories and evidence everywhere, but I think it's our best bet. Biggest issues is the little bits of evidence everywhere, and Cecil managing to play her part without setting of the crazy-dar and being separated from us.
>>
>>33656230
That gives me another idea.
Hey OP, does Cecilia's missing finger look like an old wound or is the scarring still fresh looking?
If it looks old, then if we cut her hair, and the video footage clearly shows that Cecil's left hand is uninjured, then a Bound police investigator could argue that it must be a case of two people looking remarkably like each other, since scarring takes time that couldn't have passed.
>>
>>33656343
Whelp, see >>33656360 and let's start grabbing crows. Crows everywhere, we need to have the whole bloody city under our watch with harbingers, servants, and hosts so we can act anywhere.
So grab some crows, pat Cecil on the head, read anything that might be useful, have bloody sex, sleep, then start practicing flight in the morning while looking for Dan.

>>33656379
Pushing it I think, plus we plan to make her all better sooner rather than later. Keep in mind, fingerprints, blood, etc, the less evidence we have to fake or cover up the better.
>>
>>33656360
>>33656343
sounds great to me
>>
>>33656343
[x] Go out and get more familiars. (City or woods?)
Get more crows in the woods. We need more aerial cover. They need to become Hosts so we can cast Bindings and Submissions through them.
>>
>>33656360
The problem is that coercion doesn't grant you immunity from prosecution, I don't think. Cecil would still be facing jail time.

>>
>>33656584
True, but she might get out easily if we get the judge or jury under our control.
There is also just letting her go 'missing' and becoming our live in waifu for the rest of ever, if she'd like that.
We can be all guilty and distraught over it too.
>>
>>33656343
simple, bind a host crow, learn to fly, submission a police officer, bind him as a host, go on duty, "investigate suspicious area" actually a trap submission spell, bind, repeat

use police crew to kill doctor

>>
>>33656746
Because of the effort and oversight of keeping it all under our control without issue.
In future to deal with the doctor maybe, but we need to make sure our reach does not exceed our grasp.

Cecil didn't kill though, in fact she might have just had to stare as the woman went insane. Depends on the evidence.

You need to plan out the details, because the details are what got us screwed in the first place.

>>33656839
She is on camera leaving the room, with a bloody short that was not bloody before, putting away a knife.
It's pretty much an open-and-shut case, unless we can introduce some strange and conflicting evidence, like an injury on Cecil that couldn't have healed in the time between when the video was taken, and when she is caught by police.
>>
>>33657090
We still don't know if our submission to make her run out screaming and kill herself worked, or if she just bled out. Again, we need information and evidence.

>>33656863

[X] Crows, crows, crows

You put down the now empty plate and thank Cecil before calling Edgar who has been guarding your Sanctuary.

“I need more crows.” Is all you have to say before the bird takes flight.

You have a plan, or at least something resembling such, and for it to work you need crows, a lot of them.

As you wait for your very first familiar to return, you pull the girl closer and hold her. “It’ll be alright. I know exactly what to do.”

Cecil leans on you, as she has done many times in the last few hours before mumbling something in your ear. “Umh. You always do…”

>End of thread 7, session 1.
>>
>>33657143
>make her run out screaming and kill herself worked
>rubbing around
>after bleeding from multiple deep stab wounds
No, I don't think people thought this idea through.
>>
>>33657308
Dawww.... That trust from our crazy little blood doll.

But yes, we have a plan, and we need to talk to her about her part in it, and how she might feel about some 'torture' scars. Or becoming our house pet.
Thanks for the thread op, keep the twitter updated.

>>33657338
True, but the order was given and spell cast. We need to look up the results.
>>
>>33657308
we have to prepare submission, so prepare it before hand and cast it on the most isolated police officer, then use that to bind him, make him a host
order him to go about bussines as usual

meanwhile, we make a bunch of binding circles around town

when the police go to investigate one, we posses our host police body, get a piece of hair from our partner beforehand, then push them into the circle and activate it when we are investigating it,

repeat similar things until we bind the whole police station, noone will know the other officers were bound until they are bound themself
>>
>>33658591
First, we scout.
Do the police have vest cameras?
Are there any that live alone and work in forensics?
How long does a binding circle last?
Can we prep one without having the piece of the target before hand?
Will we suffer any mental stress from so many familiars bound to us?
Will the binding be one that changes the officers loyalty, or will we have to constantly struggle for control with the ones we bind?

Keep in mind from >>33655012
>they had to replace the entire police force with puppets in the north and then slowly get rid of them over the decade in unfortunate accidents because nobody had the time to keep looking after them.

This implies that it's a full time job doing the sort of thing you're suggesting, and we may not be cut out for it.
>>
>>33659262
that just shows that it can be done, and right now that looks like our best option

>>33659297
I would disagree. Our best option would be to get a few key officers, specifically the detective or officers on the skinner case, and the forensics specialist.
We could do more with less people and work, and if we are going to be binding People against their will, we need a test case, because Cecil was/is decidedly willing for nearly anything we suggest to her at this point.
>>
>>33659348
In addition we also need to know if Submission is only good for one order or if it will last for a given length of time.
And as you say, can a human resist a Binding, and is Servant enough to make them a loyal servant, or would they be constantly trying yo subvert our control? I don't want to have to use Puppet, because it takes longer to set up, and it would be harder to properly imitate someone if we know nothing about their line of work, workplace, friends, and family.
>>
>>33657308

The sun is rising in the sky as you lie on the soft ground of your Sanctuary with your adorable familiar girl curled up by your side with a happy expression on her face.

You finished binding more animals, crows to be specific, and got some sleep you didn’t realize you needed as badly as you did after some private time with Cecil. Now it’s time to get back to work, trying to get the police to calm down and striking back at the Doctor Iwayom as you now know his name.

You get up, giving the girl a quick kiss on her forehead before carefully pushing her off of you.

[x] Look for information in the book about… (Write-in)
[x] Have your familiars do something. (What?)
Look in the book about Binding, Submission, and Hijack spells.
The questions are:
Is Submission only good for 1 order?
Does Binding automatically make a Familiar loyal, or can they resist? Will they continue to resist the Binding?
Can Binding and Submission Circles be made in advance and have targets step into them as traps?
Can they be cast using Runes, so that we can do it without leaving residue?

As for the Familiars, have a Host go to our Dad's house. See if we can get his attention, let him explain what the police are doing.
The other new Familiars should shadow some police officers around town, to see their habits and to see if they have vest cameras.

i really dont like this plan much, we are apparently on decent terms with dan, even if he is a bit of a dick, why would we do that to him? dont forget, we considered asking him to sleep at his place, so we dont hate the guy

why not just do it to someone we dont know?
>>
>>33662705
Sure, but it will involve more scouting, pick out a lowlife that's dealing drugs or worse down in the bad side of the city.
With the best luck, we'll find out a good target via the police. Every officer knows at least one street scum that the world would be better off without.
>>
>>33662705
not that guy but, in my opinion its less we hate him or something and more hes an easy patsy that we know is a dick.
Also, we thought about sleeping over at his place, knowing he'd hold it over us and demand something in return.
>>
>>33662705
Because Dan has a criminal record, and so makes framing him easier.

Would you prefer some homeless vagrant?
Maybe a violent psychopath from a mental institution?
The latter would be perfect except that there would be records and witnesses of them being locked up at the time of the murder and the Skinner incidents.

The vagrant would require fixing them up a bit, and if they're known among homeless shelter staff and community.
>>
>>33662845
why screw over a guy we know and are friends with enough to ask to sleep at his house when we can just go to the black part of town and grab anyone on the dam street?

Fuck that. At least we're doing this to someone who preys on other people.

That homeless guy in all likelihood doesn't deserve anything near a serial killer rap.
>>
>>33662909
Put friends in " " and you have the reason, plus he's a named character and thus came instantly to mind. Dan is convienent, if we find someone better via the police or scouting before we've gone past the point of no return with Dan, then we can change targets easily.
>>
>>33662879
want a criminal record? grab some random drug dealer from a seedy part of town

>>33662933
yeh he is a named character, who was named as a guy we trust enough to think about asking to sleep there for a night, aka, our "friend". Stop jumping on him just because we know his name, and look at it from MC's perspective dammit
>>
>>33662974
Relax, we still have plenty of time. Hell maybe Dan knows a better patsy, though finding out from him would be tricky.
>>
>>33663006
ask him if he wants help getting rid of some of his competition in the drug business

or just go to the black part of town until someone tries to sell you crack
>>
>>33662974
The other reason for Dan is because we have a confirmed past relationship with him (we paid his bail so our name would be in police records), and therefore there's a more plausible connection for why we would have been framed by the Skinner/Dan.

[X] Information.

You give your familiars the order to fly to town and eavesdrop on the cops, trying to figure out what they know and who’s working on your case.

Meanwhile, you take a quick look into the grimoire that is grinning at you as you figure out how the mind control spells and binding people work. This proves to be an easy task and most of your questions are answered almost immediately. Spells like Submission work once and the effective time during which the target can be given commands is only about fifteen minutes, though the effects are permanent and undoing them later requires another casting. An example of this offered is of a man who is told to stay away from water, which resulted in him staying away from all wells, rivers, water buckets and mugs alike until the rain came a week later and drove him insane. Binding on the other hand comes with minor obedience enforcement but when used on sapient beings their own will is usually well able to overcome this. Both spells can be prepared in advance and activated as the target steps into the circle, as long as the mana hasn’t had the time to dissolve. While both spells use runic symbols in their designs, the spells are too complicated to be cast on runes alone unless one has access to literal warehouse full of correct runes and a really long staff.

The next thing you do is prepare an ‘Improve’ circle to use on you and Cecil.

>Cont.
>>
>>33663493

By the time you’re done, the familiars have gathered reasonable amount of information. It seems that the police do have sent some of the samples to some out of town forensics labs and the case may end up to national level of law enforcement which is hindered by the fact that there are no direct victims identified. Your spell went off fine and the woman ran out of her room in bad enough condition to be bleeding out soon and got hit by an ambulance. Cecil seems to be the current main suspect, with you as either accomplice or at least involved in some way due to being seen with her at the hospital. You have identified some of the people that are working on your case, though you haven’t had the time to look into their personal lives yet.

You wonder what your next action should be as you take a sip from a cup of coffee given to you by Cecil who is clinging to your arm as the sun tells you it is early afternoon.

>What do you want to do?

>>33663527
Good to know.. so it looks like we'll just have to do some very carefully worded submission spells on people, with maybe one or two, like our patsy, hit with several submissions and bound as familiars on top of that.
Good for our case, bad at the progress on it, good that we might still have time.

Let's sip the coffee, debate trying the improve circle, and get some flying practice in while Edgar continues to collect crows and songbirds.
Also, ask Cecil if she would rather go back to a normal life, with us of course, or stay as a sort of, well, pet, hidden away from the world and within our sanctuary for the rest of ever.
>>
>>33663616
Sounds good enough to me. I'm the anon who wanted the Improve circle, makes sense to buff ourselves up sooner rather than later. Especially since we need SO MUCH BLOOD
>>
>>33663527
Send one Host crow to our Dad, to provide a means of talking with him that can't be traced by mundane methods.

Were the crows able to see if the police use vest cameras?

Have the cats and the remaining two dogs try to convince some strays to become our familiars, like Edgar was able to.
Crows can fly, but dogs and cats are tolerated within human homes and some buildings, something we may need.

As a high-level spell, Improve is kind of dangerous when used on humans. There's a lot of room for error, and it was warned as being ill-advised in the grimoire to use it on ourselves or other humans.
I think it's a bad idea to use it ourselves right now.
>>
>>33664001

[X] Flying lessons.

You send an order to any familiar not doing something important at the moment to try gather more animals to your side.

Meanwhile, you talk to Cecil about the future.

“What do you want to do once we get clear of this mess with the mage and the police? Do you want to try return to your usual life of… getting nothing done and watching shows all day or stick around here as a full time familiar?” While you avoid saying it out loud, you think the word ‘pet’ did get transmitted over the bond due to the various… scenarios that assault your mind over the link that involve collars and harnesses and oh god what is that even called?

“I don’t care.” She answers quietly, licking her lips and sending a shiver down your spine as you try your best to not pay attention to the things conveyed to you by your familiar, for the sake of your own sanity.

“Okay… well, I’ve got to get some preparations done.” You say before giving her a quick kiss and possessing one of your bird hosts.

>Cont.

>>33665259

You are now a large crow on a rooftop somewhere downtown. Turns out flying takes more than just spreading your wings and flapping them though the bird’s muscle memory does help you, along with “Kaw”s in the back of your mind that assists you with the finer details. As you keep practicing your mind wanders to the circle you prepared in the Sanctuary. You could use them in multitude of ways, improving your natural healing which would certainly be useful if you got into a fight, improving your body’s or mind’s capabilities could be useful as well, as would improved mana generation. The other possibility would be using it on an item, making your shirt more durable or resistant to something could be nice tough right now making them more liquid resistant seems like an attractive option, if only to keep blood from sticking to them.

Your familiars seem to have found more possible recruits though getting them all bound would take the rest of the day and while your familiars at the police station seem to be gathering information at a decent pace your personal assistance could be really useful. You could also use the improve circles now and maybe talk to Cecil some more.

Back to the Sanctuary with our mind.
We should use the improve circle to improve our mind, specifically aiming for our perception and attention to detail. That's going to come in very, very handy in the next few days.
While we work, we'll also test things with Cecil, 'thinking' words to her and seeing how she reacts and what she thinks back.
As unsettling unbearably cute as her thoughts and actions may be at the moment, we need to both get a better understanding of her, and get better at the mental communication with familiars.

If we have time after that, then get the familiars bound, and lastly help with the investigations ourselves. Some practice channeling mana while a crow would be in order to, though that is probably best done within the sanctuary.
Later on we can practice with other familiars, like the dogs and such. Though I'm not sure if we should inform Cecil that we can possess a dog.
Ideally, we keep from getting too distracted and stay on task.

[X] Improvement.

You are once again back at in the Sanctuary lying against a tree with Cecil on her back by your feet with a smile on her face and your right leg is slightly moist. You try not to think about what was done with your body while you were busy being a crow as you walk to the circles you prepared.

Stepping into it you focus on your mind, your senses, your eyes and ears. A wave of mana washes over you, reminding of the time you set up your Sanctuary, just a lot weaker and more focused, with the sensory overload not hitting you as badly. For now your mind keeps racing from one thing to another, analyzing small details of the surroundings and your own condition. You suspect that this will stabilize soon, once the excess mana leaves your body. You spend 26.58 minutes getting used to the sharper senses before you lose count of the passing seconds, making it safe to assume you are capable of acting without horrible pain.

>Cont.
>>
>>33666566

After this you once again give Cecil a quick kiss, tasting some blood on her lips, before you shift your consciousness to one of the birds at the police station.

You are a crow, sitting on a windowsill of the police department and watching the people inside work. Most are writing down various papers you deem unimportant while some are talking or drinking godawful substitute coffee. For some reason you also note that there are no donuts present. As you begin reconsidering your decision to improve your attention to details, you notice some papers that mention you specifically. While you cannot see what exactly is written on them, you do recognize the man handling them as the one who asked you some questions when your less feathery self was here the last time.

[X] Just looking around.

You take a look around the desks in the room, paying attention to any small details that you may be able to exploit. The angle you get from the window is not the best possible but you do notice some things, like family photos or pictures of pets on some tables but these interest you very little. What you are looking for is none of those, your goal is someone you could easily sneak up on while being close enough to the person with the papers and a quick search gives you a couple of candidates whose faces you memorize. One older man who was talking with the guy on your case and had considerable amount of dog pictures along with an old lady you assume to be his mother and a female officer you remember seeing before who seems rather intimate with the person on your case. Three of them seem to work closely with each other so you do not shut out the possibility of them having information on you or even working on the case. There are also two other officers, both married with children, that your familiars have confirmed to be working on the case.

>Cont.
>>
>>33668149

You spend a couple of hours just looking around and listening in on their conversations until you simply grow bored. While you did catch such details as rough directions to where each of them lives and their hobbies (they are all on the station’s baseball team) you didn’t get all that much done that your harbringers couldn’t.

[X] Looking harder.

You begin looking for the evidence that is yet to be taken to the lab, such as the flesh from the scenes and whatever else they may have gotten.

You do find out the location where they are held, a locker with a combination lock, but from the look of things it must be empty. Anything in it will be taken to the lab eventually and you may be able to use it to your advantage somehow.

As you are looking around, you feel a sudden sting in your chest. Quickly retreating back to your body, you notice something amiss; the familiars stationed outside the facility are no longer responding.

Your sensitive senses do not make the sensation any easier to deal with, quite the opposite actually. You lie on the ground unable to move for good fifteen minutes while Cecil holds your head on her lap, stroking your hair with a worried look on her face.
