>Archivehttp://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Shadows%20of%20Zeon>Normal RuntimeFridays and Saturdays at 10pm UK time (5pm EST; 2pm PST).>Twitter@QMKingofHearts.The date is October 12th, UC 0083. You are Lieutenant Commander Dominic O'Hara: Gundam pilot and apparently some kind of pied piper for Newtype women, if the way things have been going is any indication. Yesterday you engaged a large force of Zeon remnants and nearly wiped them out. After capturing the few survivors, interrogating a secretary who offered you a few useful tidbits on the information leak that caused the attack, and seeing to your team's well-being, you finally called it a day and turned in. Today you'll have to deal with the physical damage to your machines, as well as consider how to follow up on your few precious leads regarding Zeon's plans for the coming days. The sisters have already left your room to get back to work, and you can feel that the rest of your crew is scattered around the La Vie en Rose: Audrey and Haman are with the sisters in your team's temporary hangar, Rossweisse and Karen are exercising, and Reiko is apparently watching over your new secretary/informant, Ms. Blitzen, as she eats.Now... where to begin?>Audrey, Haman, C.C.>Rossweisse, Karen>Reiko, Blitzen>Contact Nina>Write-in
>>33654816> Audrey, Haman, C.C.Machines.
>>33654816I dunno, we haven't seen much of Rossweisse though>Rossweisse, Karen
>>33654816Blitz gave us a password for her boss' terminal. Hit that first to see if she's bullshitting us.
>>33654816>>Rossweisse, KarenSurprise Rossweisse, give her a hug and see if she passes out from actual physical contact.
>>33654816>Audrey, Haman, C.C.Well I'd like to spend some time with Rossweisse and get to know her, but getting our broken suits repaired should be our top priority
>>33654816Also, the internet and actual electrical power in my building isn't too reliable at the moment. So there may be a few delays.
Hey, got a question: what's so bad about cyber newtypes? Like I get that choosing ptsd victims, and repeatedly brainwashing them or forcing them to fight their loved ones, all while treating them like tools, is really, really dumb. But what does our character consider the idea of cybernewtypes to be inherently evil? I mean, if you chose stable adult volunteers I'd consider it a positive
>nobody wants to dig through a dead man's computer for possible leads into what the fuck is going onWhy.jpg
>>33654816>Reiko, BlitzenLet's check out that password, see what data we can find.
>Audrey, Haman, C.C.Hanging out with Karen's chill, but I like Haman, So we'll watch our suits get fixed, Gouf, Hizak Gundam.
>>33654998The process of making them is cruel and punishing. Drugs don't always play well with bodies, not to mention possible brain implants.
>>33654998Because the process itself of forcibly 'uplifting' a person to a cyber-newtype turns them into drug dependent psychopaths, and we can feel the suffering they they've been through. I guess. Really the only Cyber-Newtypes that really worked were the Puru's because they were genetically constructed, so they were mentally stable, and also didn't have a drug dependency.>>33654999I don't mind doing this, but we need a mobile suit to get us there, and we broke them all.
>>33654998>why are cybernewtypes badThe human experiments made the Spanish Inquisition, the Soviet gulags, and about everything else look tame. I mean, it's not often somebody gets their soul trapped in the body of a machine and drives the pilot insane.
>>33654998Basically, making someone a cyber-newtype usually ends up with them suffering with 20 various kinds of mental illness. Even the most stable person gets violent mood swings (at best), needs meds to cope with the stress, occasional Synapse Syndrome (where the signals form the brain get confused and cause extreme pain which can kill you) and so on.
>>33655126>we need a mobile suitWhat are shuttles.
>>33655159You actually trust Zeeks enough that they wouldn't ignore their commander's orders and hide in a mobile suit and ambush us? Damn sympathizer.
>>33655131I think the only stable recipient of the procedure was Gyunei Guss. Gyunei was no crazier than any other major character in Gundam (which is still pretty crazy, to be fair). Everyone else experienced either manic tendencies or emotional withdrawal.
>>33655205No, I mean. The station has shuttles. We don't need a Gendum for a quick jaunt over to a rekt Musai just to download horsedick.mpeg.
>>33655254I might have phrased that poorly. There was a Gelgoog in that carrier. There were Zeeks in that carrier. There is a possibility that these two things have been combined. So we get there in a shuttle, the Zeek gets in the Gelgoog, and kills us.
>>33655245Full Frontal as well, for a certain meaning of stable. Also Banagher, though he had cyber enhancements, not the full package.
>>33655307That particular can of worms is dead, Jim. He either suffocated when his O2 ran out or he got on the damn train when it was leaving the station. If you're really that paranoid then have our mobile armor escort us.
>>33655341>Full Frontal as well, for a certain meaning of stable.Well, he was mostly stable, I guess. He did get pretty crazy towards the end, though whether that's the result of being a Cyber-Newtype or the psychological stress of being haunted is less clear. But up until then he had possibly the only plan for Spacenoid autonomy that wasn't based on genocide, so he was saner than 90% of Zeon's leadership.
Back again. Entire floor of my apartment shat itself, so I went to my lab. Sorry for the delay.Writing.
>>33655307The crew of the ship have been taken into custody. It's possible the Gelgoog has been set to automatically fire its beam rifle, though. We'll see.
>>33655469Thought we trashed his rifle during our HEROIC SPEECH.
>>33655500Yeah, we shot it out of its hands. But there could be spares.
>>33655126Zero was pretty damn stable too. I don't think he had any of the Cyber Newtype neurosis.
>>33655381Really? You don't think a Spaceship doesn't have spare oxygen tanks in it? Also, the Mobile Armor won't fit in the Hanger, I guess we could make just the GP03 escort us.>>33655469They weren't taken into custody. They were told to get in the Komusai. Someone could have quite easily stayed behind and ignored the secretary's order. >>33655500>>33655521There could be spares, or they could just fuck us up with a Beam Naginata.
>>33655547Didn't see send a boarding crew over too, though? Or did we never actually get around to it?
>>33655578Think we just gave them ample time for them to move themselves.I know I'm probably operating at maximum shadowruns, but it doesn't hurt to be careful. The Titans were right.
>>33654816You hate to admit it, but you're going to need to go and see Reiko briefly to check in on the status of that computer Ms Blitzen gave you the access codes for. As much as you'd enjoy taking the time to chat with them, there's just too much to be done. You find that the two secretaries are finishing their breakfast in silence, and even at a distance you can feel a tension between them so strong you can almost see their anger radiating towards each other. "I feel like you're about to go at it with your spoons," you comment, leaning over the edge of their table. "Can I talk to you for a moment, Reiko?""Sure thing, sir," the Sergeant replies, never taking her eyes off her formerly-Zeon opposite. "What do you need?""The computer recovered yesterday from that Musai, where is it?""In our hangar, charging. You going to test this woman's 'gift' to us?"You nod, even though Reiko probably can't see you from where she's sitting. "Yep. Figure it'd go a long way towards figuring out what Zeke is up to.""Is she always like this, or do you normally keep her on a leash?" Blitzen asks coldly, taking a dig at her cereal. This won't fucking do.>Order them both to stand down>Encourage them to find some common ground>Have Reiko switched off guard detail, keep them separated for now
>>33655655They're MOSTLY right. They're like many crazy people are: Accurate view of the problem, utterly wrong interpretation of what to do about it.
>>33655677>>Order them both to stand downIf you two are going to fuck, get it over with.
>>33655677> Encourage them to find some common groundBut have some guards nearby just in case.
>>33655677>Order them both to stand downJesus, what's up with you two? Do you have some history we don't know about? I never played the game you come from, did one of you kill the others' parents or something?
>>33655677>Have Reiko switched off guard detail, keep them separated for now>>33655702No I'll stand my ground. A tightly controlled federation would; wouldn't sell Char a giant rock he can throw at Earth, deal with that box bullshit because it's irrelevant, stop the rise of Cosmo Babylonia, Crush the Jupiter empire, and slap Zanscare in the face.A-Laws were right too.
>>33655677"She'd probably break my arms if I tried putting a leash on her. Play nice. Both of you."
>>33655796I'm not disputing that. I'm saying that if you want to maintain order, building your organization on a foundation of poison gas and insane telepaths is a bad way to go about it.
>>33655677"Oh, for the love of Christ, would you two just calm down already? You may not like each other, but at least TRY and keep things civil?""Should I consider that an order?" Reiko asks."If it's the only way to keep you two from killing each other, yes. Consider it an order."Sergeant Hollinger sighs, then turns to face you. "Right. I'll give her a chance, on one condition.""You're demanding conditions now?" Blitzen asks incredulously.Reiko ignores her. "I'll treat the ex-Zeke whose unit tried to kill you and the rest of us nicely if you'll agree to pay more attention to your mission briefings.""It's a deal," you reply. Blitzen falls silent and looks away from you. (1/2)
>>33656068The hangar is a whirr of activity. Anaheim techs are busy readying your machines to return to battle, with Lucette and Emary drifting back and forth across the room shouting orders. Welding torches and plasma cutters light up the area with brief yet intense flashes as the workers cut and shape segments of Gundarium alloy that you can barely identify. Against one wall, you spot the members of your team clustered against the wall. The computer you're looking for, which belonged to the Captain of the Musai cruiser that led yesterday's assault on the La Vie en Rose, sits next to them.>Ask what the others are up to>Get straight to work on that computer>Bother the technicians with some questions
>>33656216>>Ask what the others are up to
>>33656216Get to work on that deck, chummer.
>>33656216>Get straight to work on that computer
>>33656216>Ask what the others are up to
>>33656216Glad I got here in time! Gundamu Ho!>Ask what the others are up to>>33656271One mention of Shadowrun, and now we're using the Slang? Well, just remember to geek the Mage first.
>>33656427It's cool man. There's no mages in spess. Only crazy teenage space wizards.
>>33656493>wizardsSorcerer, actually. Teenagers don't prepare their spells from a book. But from their MIND.
>>33656493And all of those we've met so far want Dom's dick, so we don't have to worry about them. Until we meet some male Newtypes, anyway. Though even then, who knows? On that note, I'm hoping we get to meet the Albion crew. Because Bernard Monsha's response to us would be hilarious. He'd go up thinking we were some dumb rookie, only for us to reveal that we're actually a One Year War veteran too, and to make matters worse our kill count is much larger than his. And then when he's already fuming about that, he'll see that our entire unit is made of attractive women, 40% of whom are romantically interested in us. And then he'll just cry at the unfairness of it all. Oh, and we already know Nina, just to rub salt in the wound.
I've been thinking, Axis is moving about 2 years early right? Which means it'll appear in 0085 rather than 0087. Whilst this means we won't see some cool suits like the Bawoo, it also means AEUG won't yet exist. Surely it'll also mean that they get BTFO by a united EF, and also at the same time prove the Titans right, and legitimize their rule. This will probably also mean the AEUG is less likely to exist, because popular opinion is both with the Titans, and dissatisfaction with their regime would be minimal. Does this mean the Gryps Conflict would happen much later? Maybe at the same time as CCA?
>>33656918Don't forget Char's now acting independently and has a third of the Axis forces with him.
>>33656216Whatever the others are doing, it'll probably end up involving you at some point regardless of what you do. Plus, it's not like you're sneaking in or anything: three of them are Newtypes, and they've all realized you're here. So you figure you might as well try and get something done before your input is required elsewhere. The black laptop is a pretty beefy model, clearly meant to be used aboard a spacecraft where it could conceivably spend all day bouncing off the the walls and ceilings. The keyboard and screen are immaculately clean, and the speakers haven't got so much as a speck of dust trapped in them. The dead Zeon Captain must have been a clean freak.>WELCOME CAPTAIN DOUGLAS>PLEASE ENTER PASSWORD>0URD-356R-51T3-3111-DDDD"Wow," you mutter as multiple error codes show up against a blue screen. "What the hell did he do to this machine?""He probably triggered a fail-safe of some kind that fucked with the computer itself, likely just his own saved data," Audrey tells you as she looks over your shoulder. "Weird that it let you sign in, though. Oddly specific.""Can you recover any of what was on it?" you ask. "Also, good morning, Audrey.""Good morning, Commander," she replies, "and yes. I may be able to recover it, but I'd probably need to work with someone around here who's better at this sort of thing than I am."You sigh, shaking your head in disbelief. "Things can never be simple with us, can they?"Audrey laughs to herself. "Not where computers are concerned, at least. Speaking of which, I figured out why I couldn't hit anything yesterday.""Oh?""Yeah, the rangefinding system wasn't sending any data to the targeting system, so I could never get a lock," she explains. "It took me entirely too long to figure out, but at least I know now that it wasn't just me."You give her a smile. "See, I said you were better at this than you thought, didn't I?""Yes, sir."Focus on:>Repairs>Computer>Haman and the Sisters
>>33656918You have to stop thinking in terms of canon events. We've already jumped right off the tracks. It is not at all clear what Axis is going to do, or how the Titans will respond. For the moment at least, it looks like Axis is joining up with the Mars Zeon remnants and starting the Oldsmobile Army early. So who knows what they're going to build or when they'll deploy them? Though personally I'm expecting them to build their own equivalent of the Rick Dias.
>>33656918To clarify, Axis is "on the move", not "moving". They still haven't started to physically move into the Earth Sphere yet, but they're doing SOMETHING.
>>33656993>Computer"Do we have any Linux boot discs floating around in this tin can?"
>>33656993That's another problem with the targeting software popping up. What is with these machines? I wonder when it happened? Because if this isn't something recent, that means she was noscoping all of her previous shots. Which is pretty impressive.
>>33656993Goddammit, Æ how the fuck do you guys manage to screw up the targeting computers on such a consistant basis!?Anaheim Electronics, for some retarded reason, all of our targeting software still uses Imperial Measurements!
>>33656993> RepairsIn case Zeon decides to drop another fleet on us.
>>33656993>>Haman and the SistersI doubt we'll be much help on the others
>>33656993>Repairs>>33656945Oh yeah. Hmm I might be playing down the strength of Neo-Zeon thinking about it. Glemy Toto won't be old enough to earn the respect of the Soldiers, and won't be able to start a civil war, so Axis won't be divided and kill itself.>>33657007Yeah. The thing is the Oldsmobile army is based on later tech, so more than likely they'd only be able to make stuff equivalent to that at the moment.>>33657061Oh ok, I thought they were already on the move
>>33656993Double check all of the firmware and software on our mobile suits. That's the second bug in one of our machines. Run Norton '83 edition to sniff out any backdoors. We can pop the hard disk out of the laptop and run a data recovery suite on it. Will take time, though.
>>33656993Wait, didn't Audrey do well in the test flight we did right at the start? That could mean that someone's put the bug into her system since we've been mobilized.
>>33657138>Yeah. The thing is the Oldsmobile army is based on later tech, so more than likely they'd only be able to make stuff equivalent to that at the moment.Well, yes, it won't literally be the Oldsmobile Army. If for no other reason than that the One Year War isn't so long ago for designs inspired by the suits of that time to be considered old-fashioned. I'm thinking the Rick Dias, though, because a lot of the tech in it came from Axis, brought to AE by Char when he adopted the Quattro Bajeena persona. It's basically a mix of the Gelgoog and the Rick Dom, with lighter armor due to using the stronger Gundarium Gamma alloy that was developed at Axis. So I wouldn't be surprised if the main mass production suits of Mars Zeon are identical to it save for some aesthetic differences.
>>33657236We can have her check the computer systems later on. While we're doing repairs, she can check that laptop, then have her go through the targeting software just in case.
So how do those guided mines work? The way I figure it, having a Newtype practice with guided missiles seems way easier than having to use funnels and try to aim and dodge shots with them.Instead of space on an rechargable E-caps, just have them use non-recharable batteries, and fire them into the enemy en-masse. Suddenly the Federation's Guided missle doctrine becomes quasi-relevant again.I dunno what the hell's the difference with space-mines or whatever, but I figure with newtype missles, you just focus on overwhelm the enemy with a fuckton of missiles, which would seem to be easier and less stressful for a Cyber-Newtype.
>>33657283The Rick Dias isn't all that interesting tbh and I also think the Dreissen is a better target of mass production, since it's reminiscent of a OYW mech, and we all know how much the Zeeks love their nostalgia goggles.
>>33656993"Lucette!" you shout into the hangar."What!?" the technician shouts back. "I'm kinda busy!""You have some programming nerds on this station, right!?""You need one!?""Kinda!""Okay! MacDowell! Get yourself over there!" Lucette shouts at a pale, spindly looking young man with... hipster glasses. And a neckbeard. Way to reinforce the stereotypes, asshole. "MacDowell," you address the man as he floats towards you. "Get this Zeke computer working again, on the double.""... yes, Commander," the programmer sighs dramatically. "Right away, Commander.""And none of the sass," you add. Audrey raises an eyebrow. "So, would you like to see my report on the damage?""Would I ever," you reply tonelessly. The Ensign hands you a dataslate with both an updated roster and status reports on your machines...>Current Roster (Decreasing order of Rank)>Captain Karen Joshua (29): Unit Commanding Officer>Commander Dominic O'Hara (19): Executive Officer, Group Commander>Lieutenant Carya/Catrina Marseille (21): Pilot, Evaluator (Newtype Systems)>Ensign Audrey April (23): Combat Pilot, Data Analyst>Ensign Rossweisse (16?): Cyber-Newtype, Backup/Support Pilot>First Sergeant Reiko Hollinger (20): Secretary/Reserve Operator/Fixer>Haman Karn (16): Remote Weapons Operator, Future Co-Pilot for Lilium>Katherine Blitzen (20): Secretary, Informant>Mobile Weapons Listing >Lilium: Moderate damage to armor and severe damage to shock absorbers in arms due to loss of both shield boosters and recoil from Twin Hyper Rifles. Weapons secure.>Iris: No damage. All weapons secure. Suspected failure of targeting systems (Mechanical? Software?)>Viola: complete loss of left arm and shield due to close-range beam rifle fire. All weapons recovered. >Optional Loadouts available to Lilium: G05 Hyper Gatling, Twin Hyper Rifles, grenades, wrist-mounted beam saber, GM small shield, clay bazooka(1/2)
>>33657503The best thing the Rick Dias has going for it is FUCKING ROBERTO piloting it. Oh yeah, and Apolly and Quattro, I guess.
>>33657550Just give them Döven Wolfs and Char a Ball, cause screw him.
>>33657623Actually that's unfair to Balls, he can have an Oggo.
>>33657477The guided missile doctrine is coming back into its own even without psycommu missiles. New tracking mechanisms better able to pierce Minovsky interference are already available, they're just not cheap yet. But considering the cost of psycommu receivers, there's probably not a major cost efficiency to be had by using psyco missiles. What it seems like they're better at is close-in battles, actually. Haman was able to maneuver her mines around us to strike at nearby targets accurately. So psyco missiles could be an effective weapon not for BVR engagements, but intense melees.
>>33657623Char gets a Zugogulash as it is red and has a horn...
>>33657538"... you put our ages?" you ask cautiously. "Why?"Audrey grins. "Thought you'd appreciate it, Romeo." You decide to ignore her jab, for now."And what does it mean, 'moderate damage'? I thought the damage to the Lilium was mostly superficial?"Emary floats by behind your back, probably on her way from one work station to another. "It means the damage is widespread, and too bad to simply buff out. So we're going to have to replace a lot of parts all over the machine, as opposed to the Viola. That's just putting an arm back on as a single unit. It's a tad simpler.">Push for an upgrade while they're at it (what)?>Discuss something with Audrey>See what the Sisters and Haman are discussing>Something else?Note: these options aren't strictly exclusive of each other.
>>33657503I suppose you're right. What would be nice, in my opinion, would be if Zimmad's proposed combat doctrine based on mixed teams of Gyans and Doms was adopted. Take the Gyan Krieger and the Dom Funf so they're more versatile than their predecessors, outfit them with modern advancements like magnetic coating or Gundarium Gamma, and you'd have a nice fighting force. The Gyans do close range combat, the Doms do long range bombardment, they both can handle mid range.
>>33657477I'll say this much: Haman and Audrey have a few ideas of how to put them into use. Many of these ideas are quite brutal and devious.
>>33657623If we're going to give Char anything, we'll be shoving him into a Zogo->>33657654Goddammit!>See what the Sisters and Haman are discussingHuh, the age gap between Dom and Audrey is greater than between him and Haman.
>>33657688"So would now be a bad time to put in a second seat into the cockpit?"
>>33657688>See what the Sisters and Haman are discussingHmm, what would be quicker, fixing up the Lilium, or getting the Efreet combat ready? I'd rather have a full squad ready first, so we should prioritize whichever will be quickest. Although I can't remember if the Efreet was a land-only mobilesuit. If it is ignore this entirely. As for Upgrades, I mostly want a Beam Tomahawk for shield-based shenanigans like the Shinanju, but I won't push it if others don't like the idea.
>>33657623>Char in a ball>Char's Ball(s)>Ridden Scrotum>Johnny HappysackCome on Anon.>>33657688>upgradesLighten the shields by removing some of the propellant tanks OR increase hydrostatic/hydraulic/tinsel strength/whatever the hell it's called in the arms to help reduce the penalty to our aim.
>>33657883There is no Efreet. They literally just have the jammer, and even that took some effort to acquire.
>>33657688>Yes that Efeet
>>33657688>>33657799I'll back this. We want to train our backup pilots, let's get to it.>>33657922And even if they did have it, it's a land combat suit. No vernier thrusters, much reduced main backpack. It wouldn't be very good for our purposes
>>33657688> Discuss something with AudreyDoes she have any ideas for potential upgrades? We're replacing a lot of parts, apparently, so maybe we can get something installed.Maybe something to do with protecting our fuel lines or coolant?
>>33657688"When can we attach the mobile armor to one of our suits?"
>>33657922Oh, then nevermind. The jammer isn't especially useful when you're running around with a giant Mobile Armor blowing shit up left, right and centre. What about building a Psycommu into the left arm of the Viola? If they need to make a new one anyway, might as well see what we can do.
>>33658004Psycommu systems are currently the size of entire mobile suits. Give it time, we'll have suits equipped with them soon enough. Remember? Anaheim is making some specifically for our suits. They just don't have them finished yet. We might be able to speed it up if we capture the Tusche Schwartz. I'm honestly expecting we'll fight a Ple piloting the Schwartz at some point during Operation Stardust, so it might actually happen.
Can we get an ETA on when those new mobile suits are supposed to show up?
>>33658004Actually changed my mind on this, but the jammer would need to go in the Iris. My thoughts are this, if we have Rosseweisse and Haman train against Audrey in the stealth-ed suit, they can improve their situational awareness , and also their newtype ability to sense people.
>>33657538So we only have room for three more girls before we become the Shrike Team and start dying horribly, right?
>>33658193Anaheim's busy working on replicating the jammer. They want to put them on our suits with a miniaturized version of the sensor the GP00 used to give us incredible radar range through jamming while making us practically invisible. They're also talking about Psycommu units thrown into the mix. When the upgraded torsos are finished we'll have ridiculously powerful mobile suits.
>>33658211Am I the only one who thought Uso was a piece of shit?
Can we get a B gundam?
I wish you'd have updated your twatter, mate.
>>33657688"So while we're at it, what else could we do to the machines to improve their performance?"Emary loops one arm around Audrey's seat and arrests her momentum. "Not sure what you'd want, but still, I heard something about upgrades. What're you thinking?""That Dendrobium armor... can our machines pilot it?""No" Emary replies succinctly. "Even if we could get clearance, it'd require a complete rebuild of your power systems before we could give them the interface they'd need. Plus, there's only one to go around.""Sorry," she adds, almost as an afterthought."Well, how about protecting our fuel and coolant lines, or using differently shaped beam weapons?""The former we're doing," Audrey tells you. "The latter, I'm working on. It's complicated getting I-Fields to do anything more than a straight line.""We can give you the technology for a beam jitte if you'd like," Emary offers. "I'll clear it with Lucette, it's a dead simple upgrade.""Last... the cockpit," you continue. "Can you fit an extra seat?""No," Emary tells you, "but if you'd like I could put in a different style of seat that could be used as a trainer or something... but the psycommu isn't fully miniaturized yet. And the second pilot would need to sit in the first pilot's lap this way." The last half of that explanation has Emary blushing a little from the implications: you can tell she's imagining Haman sitting in your lap. She's probably embellishing it too, with her imagined Haman blushing and shifting her weight nervously against you as you guided her hands across the controls in the Lilium's cockpit."Would it be comfortable," you press, trying to get the technician's focus back on the tasks ahead."... yeah," she replies. "I'd bet it would be.">Do the beam jitte and the cockpit seat upgrade>No beam jittes, yes cockpit>Yes beam jittes, no cockpitAlso:>Haman and the Sisters>Something else?
>>33658270Personally I couldn't even finish Victory. The other V2 pilot an hero'd himself and I went "no, fuck this"
>>33658270He killed the most civilians of any Gundam protagonist. And not even counting the ones he killed by accident, I mean the ones he straight up murdered. Kid was fucked up.
>>33658327I was cheering for Katejina to kill everyone>>33658281Clearly superior
>>33658314>>Yes beam jittes, no cockpit>Haman and the SistersGiven Haman's confession last time, I'm not sure she'd be comfortable getting hot and sweaty with us....
I really like Dominic's take on UNDERSTANDING in this quest. Instead of getting into a fucking debate in the middle of combat and putting his allies in danger (I'm looking at you, Third Gen AGE), he waits until *after* the fight's over and his wingmen aren't in anymore danger.>>33658281Half the shit in G-Gundam were B-Movie quality Gundams.>Yes beam jittes, no cockpit>Haman and the SistersWhy don't they make a composite Sandwich of Gundarium/Beam Chaff/Gundandariam/Beam Chaff or something?
>>33658314>Do the beam jitte and the cockpit seat upgrade
>>33658314>I'd bet it would be"Only comfortable with the lights off in the missionary position for the sole purpose of procreation. Ma'am.""Jitte now. Seat later.">Bug the sisters and haman

does anyone else want to turn our gundam into wing zero?
>>33658354I think Jamil's got him beat on the number of deaths he caused.>>33658699No. I want this.
>>33658699Nope. If you're going Wing, it's gotta be Heavy Arms.
>>33658699That's where the development plan is already going, no need to make any changes. We already have the twin buster rifles and the shoulder cannons. Add that to the planned upgrades of improved sensors, a mind-machine interface and wing binders that double as shields and it's going to wind up that way on its own.
>>33658314Even though the Psycommune system is not miniturised enough to be installed into the suits, at least having the capacity to spend some time practicing and getting used to duel cockpits would be helpful... help get the pairs comfortable with working ontop of each other in the MS...
>>33655245Gates Kappa and Carozzo Ronah weren't too bad. And emotional withdraw is pretty common if you're a psychic surrounded by people who you KNOW don't see you as a person. Its frankly pretty arguable how much of the cyber newtypes problems come from the procedure itself and how much come from the incredibly shitty environment they're "raised" in.

>>33658314"Could the new seat be installed and removed when needed?""Sure," Emary replies. "I see no reason why not.""Good. I'd appreciate if you'd have your techs work on the beam jittes and prepare the new seat, but not install it until we have reason to."Emary nods. "Sounds fine to me. We should have the repairs done in two or three days.""Good," you reply. "And do you happen to know when the new machines Kowen is sending will arrive?""No." She shakes her head. "That's above my pay grade, Commander. You might ask your Captain next time you see her." With nothing else to discuss and a lot of work ahead of her, Ms. Ounce pushes off Audrey's seat and drifts back over to continue the repairs. The programmer Lucette sent you continues tapping away loudly at the laptop's keyboard, as if trying to remind you he was there."So," you finally ask Haman and Carya, "what are you ladies up to?""We're giving Haman a shakedown on the Lilium series and their capabilities," Carya replies. "I want her to sharpen her piloting skills before we get back into combat.""It'd be easier if you'd let me go out in the Iris," Haman replies. "You have no experience on a machine this responsive," Carya tells her. "There's no reason not to take it slow."Seems your say could be the deciding factor...>Let her try her hand with limiters in place, she'll work up towards our level>I'll ride shotgun in case something happens>Carya is right, cover the basics first
>>33658807True enough. Flit would've won the competition if he fired that missile in AGE and genocide'd the Vagans. Also, depending how things turn out, we might end up with the Ex-S. Which would be awesome.
>>33658821Our Gundam actually most likely looks like the Advanced Hazel. It has all the main features: A Gundam derived from an enhanced GM that features a retractable scope, heel thrusters, and shield boosters.

>>33658848>Let her try her hand with limiters in place, she'll work up towards our level Sometimes, you just have to jump into the deep-end, except this end isn't all that deep.
>>33658906Not really. Mostly we've been advancing our own suit towards speed and firepower. If anything we're more likely to become the Ex-S Gundam like >>33658863 wants.Besides, ALICE would fit into our group just fine. A cute AI trap would barely raise any eyebrows, here.
>>33658848Tassel her hair"Basics first kiddo."
>>33658848>Let her try her hand with limiters in place, she'll work up towards our level"Haman, she's not trying to be demeaning or anything, we're both veterans from the OYW and I had difficulty with how responsive it is. It's a very twitchy system. It tryies to compensate for Newtype pilots by having absurdly fast response time, and that gap from traditional suits is *massive*. This thing makes a GM Sniper II feel like it's moving through tar."Put the ephasis on the suit being rediculous instead of saying that she's a rookie.
>>33658986Yeah, let's infantilize her, that's a great thing to do to a girl who just recently professed an attraction to us.
>>33658848"I had to go through basic, Carya had to go through basic, so you have to go though basic. Unless... no, no that wouldn't be fair... So Basic it is!"
>>33658980The fact our suits are so modular/moddable makes me think Herr Doktor expected this. We have one hell of a good base to build and expand upon.
>>33658888I thought it was based on a GM Sniper 2 with thinner 'looking', but made from Gundarium armor?
>>33659055Well I don't think it's an exact fit for the Advanced Hazel's design, but I think Hearts definitely took some inspiration from it.

>>33659055And with a Crossbone-like thruster system in the back, IIRC.>>33659033That's a good point. Maybe we should focus on adaptability and modularity instead of pushing for specialization?
>>33658848"You have to walk before you can run, Haman," you chide the red-haired Newtype. "The Lilium is almost out of control, even for us."Haman shakes her head. "How can I prove myself if I can't even get into the cockpit? Isn't that what it comes down to in the end?""We just want you to be safe," Carya offers. "And you being reckless makes keeping you safe damn hard," Catrina adds. Suddenly, you have an idea. "If I went out with Haman in the cockpit," you ask Audrey, "would you be able to upload different sets of battle data and control settings to the Iris? Give Haman a taste of how the three of us fight, and maybe even jump Rossweisse in as well?"Haman seems excited about the idea, and you get the sense that even Carya and Catrina are interested in how this might turn out."It's possible," Audrey admits. "That new seat should be ready tomorrow, if that's something you want to do.">Prepare for the test, go talk to Rossweisse and Karen to clear it>On second thought, that may be a bad idea>Other
>>33659174>Prepare for the test, go talk to Rossweisse and Karen to clear it
>>33659111The thing is, Haman prioritized shooting the GM IIs instead of us, which make me think it's more similar looking to a older model than the almost-Gundam look of the Hazels.
>>33659111A specialization in adaptability would be hilarious. Each Lilium is a Lego set that can be pulled apart and reassembled in under an hour to fit the current situation.
>>33659174> Prepare for the test, go talk to Rossweisse and Karen to clear it
>>33659174To compare the question of sensitivity and battle data to something you may be more familiar with, imagine that all the MS pilots in the setting are all playing Call of Duty together. Most normal pilots have their sensitivity set to 3 (Default). Some veterans, like Monsha or Burning, have theirs set to 5 or so. The GP-01 is set to about a 7, which is where Karen would be comfortable. Audrey would play at around 9. Most Newtypes would play somewhere between 12 and 15. Char plays at a 16.Dominic and Amuro play at 18. Carya and Catrina balance out at 19. The maximum is 20.>>33659088>>33659111It's most like a cross between the Advanced Hazel, the GM Sniper II, and the Le Cygne, though the various possible upgrade routes I've planned out could turn it into either a very powerful conventional suit, or something very different altogether.
>>33659089If Sengoku Rance has taught me anything, it's that head pats lead to us becoming a Demon bent on destroying mankind named after a Catholic Saint.>>33659211There was the Zabi quest on SB's that lead to Zeon developing the Leo over the Zaku II, because despite the Leo being a good chunk more expensive, the modular backpacks made the Leo vastly more versatile.
>>33659174>Prepare for the tast, go talk to Rossweisse and Karen to clear it.
>>33659174>>Prepare for the test, go talk to Rossweisse and Karen to clear it>>33659211Yeah, we could prepare different packs for it which could be changed mid-combat. You could have a generic package, which gives better aerial ability, and one which focuses on long-range bombardment, and one with a big sword, and you could call it a 'Strike' suit.
>>33659246>Dominic and Amuro play at 18This Nu GM Sniper isn't just for show!
>>33659174Go clear it.Tell Karen that you know it IS a bad idea, but knowing Haman it is better we do this in a somewhat controlled enviroment then her pulling a Gundamjack to "prove herself" at a critical moment, possibly damaging the suit and more importantly hurting herself.
>>33659246Judau plays at "Fuck your computer, I have a baseball bat."
>>33659174>Prepare for the test, go talk to Rossweisse and Karen to clear itIt shouldn't be that dangerous, overall. Let's try it.
>>33659246Wasn't it confirmed that Char is actually weaker then the "average" newtype in sensitivity, he just made up for it by being Char.
>>33659246How different?>>33659367Yeah, I assumed that Char was a fairly weak newtype, but was a great pilot.
>>33659367Doesn't mean he can't have his controls set to high sensitivity, just because his Newtype sensitivity is weaker than normal. It just means that he's that good, even without clairvoyance to guide his movements.
>>33659246Banana is a 20 I bet.If we collect all of the Purus we'll unlock the admin console.
>>33659450ALL of the Purus?I could get behind this plan...
>>33659450Nah, Kamille is a 20.Banana is god-mode enabled.
>>33659476How many did they wind up making, anyway? At least 12, given Marida's designation, but were they any more?
>>33659450Banana gets like +10 because of the Unicorn. And even then it's the Unicorn playing instead of him.20s are Jewdough (raw strength) and Kamille (autism).
Okay, when he brought up the senitivity metaphor, he meant reflex-wise and not straight up raw power, right? Because I think that even if Amuro's a weaker newtype than Kamille, I think that Amuro's relfexes would still be better.
>>33659502I dunno. I'm not exactly a Gundam nerd.
>>3365950212 clones and 1 original, I think.
>>33659523Yeah, that's my bad, sorry. Not that having ALL THE PURUS is ever a bad idea.
>>33659503>it's the Unicorn playing instead of himFucking aim bots. Why hasn't Steam Guard caught him yet?
>>33659502I half remember a cloning room full of them when Puru Two was introduced, I'm looking for the pictures. In show, there are at least 24 distinct MP Qubeley during that fight, possibly more.
>>33659543Not sure about this, Puru 2 was the first clone, so I assume there were only 11 clones.>>33659560Yeah, but then there's also the possibility of them putting other newtypes into the MP Qubeleys
>>33659550More Puru = More better.
>>33659619I'm pretty sure the MP Qubeleys were only piloted by Puru Clones. Shit always discribes it as "Glemy's Newtype Army" and "The Puru Clones and their MP Qubeleys."
>>33659543Clones started at with the first one named 2. highest known number is 12.Original was implied to be a testtube baby to begin with in some material. The MP Quebeleys 3-12 piloted also had 30 funnels EACH, so they had like 300 funnels, though i doubt they used them all at once. Hamans by comparison had 10, and the MK.II had 12.
>>33659367And Amuro is arguably THE single most powerful newtype in the entire setting.
>>33659688Yeah, technically all the Ples are artificial life. It's just that Ple 1 was made before all the others as a proof of concept. That's why she didn't know about the others, she was raised separate from them.
How the hell did Banagher get the nickname Banana anyway? I can see Papsmere and half the others, but Banana?
>>33659723With the Japanese accent his name is pronounced "Banaja". Say it fast and it sounds like Banana.
>>33659723Because his name is stupid and sounds like Banana?
>>33659717As the strongest combat-oriented Newtype, maybe. Shakti can heal people from blindness, but has zero combat experience.
>>33659174"I'm going to go get this cleared with Karen before we do anything else. I guess I'll let you know what she says."Everyone quickly agrees. Haman is still eager to prove herself, but you can sense that there's a little bit of apprehension as well. It seems she really has examined the thrust to weight ratio of your Gundams, and realized herself what a step up it is from anything she'd have been familiar with on Axis. On top of the sheer performance gap, this was one time she won't be able to fly it with her mind alone... and she knows it. The trip down the hallway to find Karen and Rossweisse is uneventful, aside from nearly being bowled over by a technician who apologized profusely for inconveniencing you. You could tell he was terrified at your reputation: it was foremost in his mind and written all over his face. You find your commanding officer and the raven-haired cyber-Newtype sitting comfortably in the office assigned to Karen for the duration of her stay. The Captain is looking over some paperwork with distaste, and Rossweisse is quietly reading a copy of National Geographic."Karen?" you ask, knocking at the frame of her door."Yeah, Dom, what's going on?"You stand in front of her desk and salute. "Ma'am, I'd like to request permission to take Haman and Rossweisse out in the Iris for a training exercise, at 09:00 tomorrow morning."Karen waves her hand dismissively. "You have permission. File a flight plan with Reiko and try not to break anything. And quit saluting me, you cheeky fuck.""Yeah, Karen, will do," you grin, lowering your hand. "You wanna watch?""Maybe," she tells you, finally looking up from her papers. "If I don't sleep in."Rossweisse seems excited at the prospect of getting to pilot the Iris tomorrow, having turned her attention away from the magazine to listen in on your conversation. She hasn't voiced any sort of enthusiasm for your plan, but with that kind of look on her face she doesn't have to.(1/2)
>>33659723They say it like BANAGAH in the OVAs IIRC, so it is not too much a leap phonetically.
>>33659762Yes, but Shakti gets negative Infinite Points for being the most self centered useless fucking little bitch.God, I wish she died.
>>33659717Judau has the strongest pressure, Kamille has the strongest sensitivity, Amuro is second best in both. So he can beat Kamille at raw power and Judau at control. He's the most well-rounded Newtype, and the best at pairing his abilities with his combat style.
>>33659764You can't help but wonder how Rossweisse is handling her new posting in your unit, however... your Newtype senses can only tell you so much if she won't also share any specifics.>Try and get Rossweisse to talk to you>Excuse yourself, contact Nina about yesterday's incident>Skip to tomorrow
>>33659809In this case, of course, trying to get Rossweisse to open up to you a bit requires a write-in option.
>>33659762>>33659717Amuro gets pretty major points for whatever he did to Axis though. Probably the most impressive use of newtype abilities ever
>>33659804>Amuro is second best in bothThat we've seen. Honestly, it's impossible to tell how strong Uso and Tobia are simply because Uso's machine was so overwhelming, and Tobia only did a couple of obvious newtype actions.
>>33659809Let's contact the bitch also known as Nina.
>>33659809>Try and get Rossweisse to talk to you.
>>33659809>>Try and get Rossweisse to talk to youGive Rossweisse a hug, see if personal physical contact causes her to explode.Maybe throw in some headpats.
>>33659809> Excuse yourself, contact Nina about yesterday's incidentJob first.
>>33659809>>Skip to tomorrowI'm not really sure how to deal with Rossweisse at this point, she's not going to open up without us having an important topic to discuss with her, and atm we don't have one.As for Nina, I thought we needed to wait until we've got evidence to say anything.
>>33659804Judau gets better at it. By the time Crossbone/Victory rolls around, he's wiping the floor with state of the art MS, using a 50/60 year old ZZ Gundam held together by scrap and awesomeness.
>>33659840"DO YOU WANT TO FUCK?"But seriously.Just give a nod towards her. No reason to talk if she don't wanna talk. Track down the Engi who was fiddling with the Mac. See if he's made anyway headway on data recovery. After that, report to the Head Bitch on Terraferma about the incident.
>>33659787Fair enough.Tifa's also pretty much up there. She's essential to linking the GX with the Moon, and her precognition abilities are probably the best in the entire franchise.
>>33659915Yeah, but powerlevels are stupid. Look at Unicorn, the Bawoo was blowing up ReZELs, despite being 10 years old at that point.
>>33659809Talk about are home or famliy.
>>3365998310 years isn't as much of a technological gap as 50/60. Hell, miniature MS tore apart Jegans as soon as they were introduced. It's honestly a good look at how his abilities and piloting skill has grown.
>>33659809>Excuse yourself, contact Nina about yesterday's incidentI feel like asking Rossweisse about her opinion on being in the unit would work better after she gets to do some piloting. Fits in a bit more naturally then, makes it seem less like we're prying. For now just give her a nod and maybe some encouraging words about how we're sure she'll do well.
>>33659951Well, Tiffa is wrong at times, but that is more because she wants be wrong so she can be with her boyfriend so he derails them for her.SRW usually makes her more action by basically doing what Haman is gonna do for us and become a Co-Pilot using the G-Bits, so it is not like she can't do the other standard stuff. But it's SRW, so not canon.
>>33660092Considering the way things are going, we might end up with G-Bits ourselves.
>>33659809Suddenly driven by an unexpected urge, you walk over to Rossweisse, place your hand against her head, and gently tousle her hair. The girl quietly closes her magazine, and you can feel her head pressing into your hand slightly.“I wish I had time to just hang out here,” you tell her, “but I've got to finish getting things straightened out with Anaheim today. Maybe tomorrow after the test we can spend some time to get to know each other. That sound good?”Rossweisse merely nods in silence, and Karen leans back in her chair, smiling a little in spite of herself.“Good. Get some rest tonight and I'm sure you'll do just fine tomorrow.”As Rossweisse looks up she's absolutely beaming at you, her dark eyes shining as she smiles. That smile is practically infectious... but at the same time, it's a little heart-wrenching as well. What kind of sick bastard could perform human experiments on a girl like this?(1/2)
>>33660202My Cyber-Newtype Can't Possibly Be This Cute!
>>33660202Returning to your own room with mixed feelings that you're sure the rest of your Newtype teammates can sense, you sit in front of your 'private terminal' and key in the code for the La Vie en Rose's long range telecomm operator."Yes, Commander O'Hara. What can I do for you?""I'd like you to get Torrington on the horn so I can give Miss Purpleton a report on yesterday's... events."The operator, a brown-haired civilian in a plain blouse, nods to you. "Right away sir. Secure lines only?""You got it.""Very well, sir."It takes a minute or two for the operator to patch in a clear and secure signal to Torrington base, but eventually you see the image of Nina Purpleton appear in your screen."Mister O'Hara," she greets you rather formally. "What a pleasant surprise! I suppose you have a report for me on yesterday's engagement?"Off-screen, you can hear a male's voice... whoever it is, it sounds like he's complaining, and it's irritating.>Response?
>>33660202>dark blue eyesWhoops. Dropped a word.>>33660317I always thought that particular image was a bit odd. It looks like she's wearing rather fashionable boots and leather gloves over the pilot suit rather than them being part of the suit itself.
>>33660333"In short? You have one Hell of a security leak, ma'am. Delaz Fleet ships attacked the La Vie en Rose in order to capture the 03. My recommendation is to tighten the security around Torrington and the other Gundams yesterday. If they know about this one the Zekes sure as hell know about the other two."
>>33660333Can we talk in private? You seem busy, and this would be considered confidential data.
>>33660333"Yes, I do. But it's something that should be private, without an audience listening in."
>>33660333"Have you gotten Karen's report on the interrogation of the prisoner we captured yet? If not, this is best something we talk about in private."
>>33660333Have you seen my collection of 16 year old newtype girls?
I'll give this a minute or two extra to see if anyone arrives late.
>>33660333"Well, yes and i think that it may be in our best interest to have that report privately"Then simply give gist and that we have a suspicion that Zeon have gotten smell of the Gundams and the operation was about that and we wanted to give a heads up as soon as possible as they too may get targetted.Possibly throw in some compliments how impressive the Dendrobium is if possible.
>>33660333"I wanted to check in on the security situation at Torrington. Given what happened here I'm a bit paranoid about the other units' safety. They're locked down tight, yes?"
>>33660525>>33660571Wouldn't it be better to bring in Blitz and the dead Mackintosh? Physical proof would drive the point home further that shit's about to get real.
>>33660333I think we should add a formal recommendation that while the MA performed admirably, that any future Mass production model be a pure mobile armor, as the combination mechanism seemed too complicated for economical mass production.Pic most definitely related
>>33660605If it'll get this shindig moving faster I'll vote for this or whatever.
>>33660333"Have you gotten my Captain's report?" you ask her.She shakes her head. "No, not yet. it's lost in the official channels.""Then we might want to lose the audience. I get stage fright whenever something sensitive comes up," you suggest jokingly."Oh?" Nina asks skeptically. "I thought you were into that? But yes, you're right. This hangar SHOULD be empty, so give me a second."You see Nina turn away from the screen."Uraki? Get out. Now. We're talking about sensitive matters."You hear the male voice off screen say something that apparently manages to further aggravate Nina. "It's a secure channel, Kou," she says, rolling her eyes. "The only insecurity here is yours. Now leave."This 'Kou' person replies again and apparently leaves, because Nina visibly relaxes. "Finally," she sighs. "He's been hanging around all damn day eying either me or my Gundams. Or both.""Well, there were thirty-six mobile suits and several Musais. My unit responded first and inflicted heavy casualties before Defrah came to sweep the rest of them. Twenty survivors or so off the last Musai. The last surviving pilot is on a suicide watch after trying to slit his wrists with a plastic spork.""Jesus," Nina mutters. "Thirty-six? Where the hell did they come from?""According to a prisoner who cooperated with us, the Delaz fleet got word of Unit 3's completion and came to either capture it or destroy it. We're not sure which.""And casualties of our own?" Nina finally asks. "How's your team?""We're fine, but two of our machines got pounded pretty good," you admit. "I lost the shield boosters entirely and nearly lost the Lilium when the propellant tanks on the boosters ignited.""Well, I'm glad you're okay," Nina replies. "Shame your suits were damaged, they're wonderfully composed designs. Real masterpieces.""Yours is bigger, though," you remind her. She nods in agreement. "You'd better get some extra security out to Torrington, your site may be hit as well."(1/2)
>>33660794Nina waves her hand. "Don't worry, I put in the request as soon as I heard. I'll be looking forward to your official report."With a simple nod, you kill the comm.>Skip to tomorrow>Other business
>>33660835> Other businessLets check that computer. Or bug the sisters.

>>33660835Skip to the Gato shenanigans. Computer can come tomorrow after the eggheads have had time to defraggle the motherdisc.
>>33660856No, no it makes sense! This is the beginning of Stardust Memory, when she was still pretty nice. Right now she's got some insecurity issues but is otherwise an okay person. She doesn't become the Queen Bitch of Space until later.

>>33660794>Other busiaess>The computer and look at the Efeet
>>33660937There is no Efreet. The Efreet was trashed at the end of the war, and all that's left are the jammer and some cold weapons.
>>33660835>Skip to tomorrowWe're good for now. Nothing left to do but wait for some technical things to be finished.>>33660937The Efreet isn't here, just one part of it that Anaheim is reverse engineering and wouldn't let us handle. And the computer is going to take at least until tomorrow to fix.
>>33660979Oh sorry about that.
>>33660979Though technically Anaheim probably does have the parts needed to make Efreets, since they absorbed Zimmad after the war. They just don't have any of the awesome custom variants. Those were built at Odessa.
>>33661052Uhh why would we even care? I mean it's what, 0083, now? Anything that's older than a Gelgoog is obsolete.
>>33660835You pass the rest of the day constructively, helping maneuver parts to and from the Lilium as it's being repaired. At the end of the day, your whole team sits down to dinner together, and it's a surprisingly pleasant experience. Even Reiko and Catherine seem willing to talk to each other now, which is amazing progress considering how they were this morning. Finally, you turn in a few at a time. >>33660770Denbrobium II is a Pure MA. There's also an attachment to allow the Orchis to be used by a Core Fighter. The prototype was tested that way.
>>33661197The date is October 13th, UC 0083. The time is 08:45 GMT: fifteen minutes before your joint sortie with Haman in the Iris. Your own machine and the Viola are coming along well, though you have to wonder if the Anaheim techs know what they're doing assembling the Viola's new arm that way. It certainly doesn't look the same to you as it did before it got blown off.More immediate concerns take precedence, though. Haman still seems nervous and tired, while Rossweisse feels as cool and collected as ever. Audrey approaches you with Carya and Catrina in tow."So, how do you want the battle data and control settings to be set up?">Revert to standard, start easy>Use your Audrey's data, that should be about right for them>Use your own data, tough love and all that

Then we'll increase the difficulty if that goes well enough."Audrey nods and takes off to input the data. Catrina, meanwhile, looks you dead in the eyes. "Take care of them. You understand?"You nod back at her. "Don't worry about them so much. This time I'll be there to bail them out if I need to, but at some point they'll have to fend for themselves. That's the point of all this, remember?""Yeah... I know. I know."08:59. The Iris is readied for launch, with Haman sitting nervously between your legs. Her eyes dart across the controls, and inside her suit you can tell she's stretching as her shoulders, neck, and arms move back and forth ever so slightly."You're cleared for launch, Haman," you hear Audrey's voice over the comm. >>33661725"... one," you hear Haman mutter as the massive power of the MS launch catapult slams the Iris forward. Haman is pressed hard against your chest, and for a moment you feel uncomfortably like you're caught between a hammer and an anvil. The pressure thankfully abates as Haman approaches the debris field left by your battle against your recent attackers from the Delaz fleet."Debris, 32 degrees by 51," you warn her. "50 meters.""I've got it," she insists, throttling up the Iris' main thrusters. The machine lurches to one side, missing half a Gelgoog. Its new course, however, is sending it towards a large section of a Musai's destroyed battleplate. It's closing quickly, and you can feel Haman's tension mounting."Large contact ahead, 75 meters and closing," you warn her again. "I said, I've GOT it," Haman insists again as the Iris lurches wildly a second time. The young Newtype's anxiety is unbelievable. >83This time, you notice something unusual about Haman's performance... or rather at this point, the lack therof."That's impossible," you hear Lucette over the comms. "This telemetry just isn't possible.""Could be faulty sensors," Defrah offers. "Or Newtype magic.""It's Newtype magic," Catrina explains simply. "She's responding to potential threats before they manifest... even faster than Dom or I do, if I'm right."You key the mic so that your whole team, Haman included, can hear. "Wouldn't be surprised. All you need to do is cool down, Haman. Sometimes getting the right timing means you have to wait."You feel Haman's tension abate significantly at your encouragement, and the next maneuver is much better-timed. She's not jumping the gun or overcompensating as much as she did at the start, and you feel like she's more or less getting the hang of it.>Switch Rossweisse in>Ramp up Haman's difficulty (Audrey's level, or your level)

"Faster than I did at your age... though speaking of speed, you should probably be killing yours a bit by this point."Realizing that she's been coming in too fast, Haman quietly curses and taps the Iris' thrust in reverse. "Got it, sorry.""No big deal," you reassure her. Once aboard the station, you wave Audrey over again while the sisters and Rossweisse congratulate Haman on her performance. Even Defrah claps her on the back, hard enough to send her spinning. "Audrey, set the Iris for your specs and we'll go again," you tell her. "From there I'll decide whether to ramp it up to my settings.""You sure that letting her pilot it at your settings is a smart idea?" she asks nervously. "I mean, I've SEEN your data. It's hardly fair.""No," you reply. "Which is why we're working our way up to it." Audrey nods, and sets to work recalibrating the Iris. The process only takes a few minutes thanks to the ease with which you can swap data between the three more or less identical machines, and Haman quickly scarfs down a bag of eggs and bacon for breakfast before your next flight."Okay," you tell her as soon as the Iris is shot off the launch catapult. "This is going to be a fair bit more challenging. Audrey pilots at these settings, and I swear to god she's a damn natural." You can feel that she wants to keep sharpening all of her skills, until she's every bit as good as you or Carya or Catrina. Until she's an amazing enough pilot to stand her own against anyone else, and she's a powerful enough Newtype to win your attention. To prove to Char and her Father and Enzo Bernini what she could make of herself. To prove the value of her own existence. And she's unwittingly using your senses and instincts to do it."Something's wrong," you hear Carya and Catrina's voices in unison, but not through the comm system. Far away, you can sense Rossweisse is uneasy with this unexpected turn. You can see the sisters on either side of you, as if they're actually in the cockpit with you somehow. It makes the whole space feel incredibly cramped. "This is dangerous," Carya tells you. "An amazing breakthrough, but I'm afraid it's putting you both in danger as well."Catrina nods. "What... what was that?" she groans in confusion. "What was I doing?"Acting quickly, you take control of the Iris and reverse thrust, coming to a complete stop. >>33664805This time, it's worse. She pushes the throttle too hard, making the same kind of mistake she was making when you first started out. It's not that she's lost her touch, but you figure she's still just rattled from the experience just moments before.>90Maybe letting her go it alone is a mistake."Here," you tell her calmly as the Iris hurtles through space yet again, wildly out of control. The g-forces are just shy of bone-cracking as you guide Rossweisse's hands once more and save the Gundam a second time in as many minutes. Rossweisse seems grateful for the intervention, and her breathing and heart rate begin to stabilize as you walk her through a few high-g maneuvers. Your hands never leave hers as you twist and turn your way back through the debris field, aiming Audrey's 'blade rifle' at shadow targets and swinging it in simulated strikes against wrecked Zakus and Gelgoogs as you pass. All the while, Rossweisse sits in amazement at the way the Iris seems almost eager to follow your every command. Finally, you set back down aboard the La Vie en Rose."I thought that was a mistake," Audrey tells you as she comes in to check on her suit and its occupants. "You and the sisters are just too freakishly fast. No offense.""None taken," Catrina shakes her head. "And I'm not sure I'd call it a total waste," she adds, noticing how Rossweisse seems to be leaning into you.>Try and get Rossweisse to open up a bit (write in)>Call it a day (ends the thread)
Rolled 24>>33665106How old is ross again?
>>33665106didn't we roll a 95?
Rolled 53>>33665106>>Try and get Rossweisse to open up a bit (write in)Head pats and compliment>>3366514116
>>33665106>Try and get Rossweisse to opea up a bit.>>33665158This and talk to her too.
>>33665145No. That 95 was outside the first three, and linked to the wrong post.If it were a 100, I'd be pissed if I were you, but in this case it's not even a big deal.
>>33665106>>Try and get Rossweisse to open up a bit (write in)Everyone strip naked and run around repeating our names.
>>33665106>>Try and get Rossweisse to open up a bit (write in)"You did well Ross. How did it feel?"
>>33665106>Try and get Rossweisse to open up a bit (write in)This kind of thing requires experience. We can try again later, if you'd like. I wouldn't have been able to do it either, a couple years ago.
Rolled 91>>33665106"Whad'ya wanna do with your life? Ever put much thought into it?""How, ah.. did you have any friends in the labs? Anyone you know we could pull a Great Escape?""So, you like ice cream?"
>>33665106>Try and get Rossweisse to open up a bit (write in)"Please don't tell Emary Ounce any details about this. She's already practically writing fanfiction about our team, I don't want to encourage her any. That said, nice job. You handled the suit quite well. You had problems when we used my settings, but that seemed to be just a matter of you not being used to that much acceleration. You have to build to that level of resistance, so the fact that you couldn't handle it your first time in no way speaks poorly of your skill. You did good, Rossweisse."
Rolled 85>>33665274Not enough alcohol has been passed around for that to happen.Let's make it happen. Celebratory round of booze for not killing ourselves.
>>33665106"You did amazingly well for your first time, Rossweisse. How did it feel?" you ask her while mussing up her hair a little bit."With you..." she says softly, to your surprise. You see a flash of raven-black hair and those deep, icy blue eyes as Rossweisse pulls herself up to eye level and kisses you gently on the cheek."... safe."Audrey rolls her eyes, and the sisters take a moment to dissuade a couple of technicians she catches staring at the two of you. But honestly, you hardly care about your image anymore. You're pretty sure Emary is already writing a novel about you and your team, and that rumors about you have spread all over the station. But that matters little compared to how much you care for your team... every last one of them."You like ice cream?" you ask Rossweisse."I don't know," she admits quietly."Well, let's find out, shall we? I say it's as good a time as any to treat ourselves."The sisters float behind you through the hallway as you take Rossweisse to scrounge up some ice cream, making sure nobody bothers either one of you... for now, at least.(1/2)
>>33665569Today is October 14th, UC 0083. Your comm terminal starts making a racket at oh-dark-thirty in the morning. What bastard thought interrupting you like this was a good idea? They should be lined up against a wall and shot.>Ignore it>Answer it, go back to cuddling the sisters>Answer it, go back to cuddling (write-in)
>>33665569I'm getting flashbacks to Papa-N and his version of ice cream.
>>33665651>Answer it, go back to cuddling the sisters
>>33665651>>Answer it, go back to cuddling the sisters
>>33665651>Answer it, go back to cuddling (write-in)...Karin?
>>33665651>Answer it, go back to cuddling the sistersSomeone jacked the GP02, didn't they? That's not even metagaming, that's just Dom understanding his luck.
>>33665651>>Answer it, be professional..We're still an officer and it's probably someone important if they think the can get away with calling us this early.
>>33665651>Answer it, go back to cuddling (write-in)Your Teddy Bear.
>>33665651Other!>Answer it, continue cuddling sisters
>>33665651"Dominic speaking.""If the Zekes haven't started another war by stealing another Gundam I don't care what you gotta say."
>>33665720>"A Gundam with Nukes? Cute joke, Who in right mind would even make such a thing? Now tell me the real reason for waking me."Then he remembers Nina exists.
Rolled 80>>33665651>Answer it, go back to cuddling EVERYONEWhy the fuck does Gato always have to steal GP02 whenever it's inconvenient for everyone else? What a prick.
>>33665803And that he already knows about the GP02. Dom's known about it since the last time he was at Anaheim. The hacking, remember?
>>33665822He could have been genre savvy this time and nuked the 01, Albion, and Torrington. I mean, shit, Axis has to have nukes.
>>33665651"Mhm," you mumble incoherently at the screen as some blonde chick you sort of recognize appears on it."Dominic? Why aren't you wearing any clothes!?""It's 01:00," you observe quietly, trying not to wake the sisters. "And I'm wearing shorts. And you're interrupting our team's Dom cuddles time. You NEVER interrupt cuddles time, Nina. This is usually a court-martial offense...""Dominic, they stole GP-02." Your blood runs cold as the words sink in."How?""They had naval fire support, air strikes, Doms... the works. And they snuck someone inside beforehand on top of it, so all they had to do was hold our defense forces back. It was loaded with...""A nuke."Nina nods. "You'll be getting your orders tomorrow, and you're slated to ship out as soon as your machines are repaired. You'll meet us here at Torrington, and from there we head for Africa.""Roger," you reply. "What about GP-01?""It's... complicated. You'll see when you get here."Your rather disturbing conference call ends rather abruptly as Nina terminates the call from her end.Sighing, you pull in close to the sisters and wait for morning to come.>To be Continued
>>33665892Not necessarily ones that fit the atomic bazooka's barrel, though. And besides, he wants the symbolism. What's the point if he can't RETURN! to Solomon?
>>33665936And that's it for tonight, thanks for playing.Archive is up, and I am out.Feel free to discuss shit while I spend the next few hours comatose.
>>33665936>our team's Dom cuddles timeI like it
>>33665936Excellent. We've been setting things up for a while, now it's time for some payoff. This is going to be good. See you next thread, Hearts. Thanks for running.
>>33665936You had one job Nina!
>>33665936So he didn't nuke the shit out of Torrington, but he sabotaged 01 by cutting it apart with one of the beam sabers. Just as keikaku Gato. Just as keikaku.
Rolled 41>>33665936Rolling for how much Nina was blushing and wet seeing a topless Dominic. You know she liked it.
>>33666005Nina's job is to fuck everything up.I say she did her job spectacularly.
>>33666024On the plus side, we can requisition the 03. Time for Musai hunting season.
>>33666015Seems like she had moderate enjoyment. No loss, She is kinda more like Frienemy anyway.
>>33665993When are we getting a male pilot named Rick? Or a souped up Rick Dom so we can finally make those puns?
>>33666122We're going to get cyber newtype Jonny Ridden.
>>33666122>>33666138>Implying we ain't gonna grab Monsha off the Albion Team.Speaking of which, we should give their MS crew some sign of good faith when we meet, like a Cake or something.A Carrot Cake.
>>33666209Fuck off, Kou doesn't deserve it.
>>33666209I'd rather have Alpha A. Bate, if only because he is a man named Alpha Bate! I would never get tired of calling for "Lieutenant Alphabet".
Rolled 25>>33666209>MonshaWe don't need his shit tryin' to get with the Newtype girls like Haman, Rossweisse or the Sisters (who'd kick his fucking ass).
>>33666512But anon, he is gonna try that anyway.
>>33666628And it will be hilarious when he does. I said this earlier, but Dominic is going to mess with Monsha's head just by existing. There's this hotshot young pilot, not even 20 yet, and he wants to dismiss him as a rookie like he does Kou. But it turns out the kid served in the One Year War and was highly decorated for his actions. Hell, he's got one of the highest kill counts of any pilot, has even fought Char Aznable to a standstill, and is actually his superior officer by several ranks. And when he's trying to get over that, he'll notice that the rest of the kid's team is made up entirely of attractive women, many of whom have a romantic interest in him. Even Nina seems to find him attractive. It's just not fair, why doesn't old Bernie get some of that treatment? To top it all off, while the GP01 that Monsha so badly wanted to pilot is rendered inoperable, Dominic turns out to have a souped-up custom Gundam that only looks like it's a GM so it can mess with the enemy's head. And then Bernard will will do nothing but weep into his bourbon for the rest of Stardust Memory.
>>33667148Except Dominic is a famous Newtype ace, so Monsha will more than likely know who he is.
>>33667177I wouldn't count on Monsha not being so self-centered he wouldn't be aware of other aces. But even if Dominic being a OYW veteran doesn't come as a surprise, it'll still annoy him to have to acknowledge. And the other stuff still applies. "Stupid kid with his psychic powers and awesome mobile suit and harem of women. I could be that cool too, if I had space magic!"
>>33667260"Fucking Space Autists."
>>33667260Exactly why i want him on our team.To rub it in.
Rolled 24>>33667398>"Fucking Space Autists."WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?
>>33667465If we do wind up meeting Kamille, we have to mess with like we do Char. I suggest that instead of mocking his name for being girly, we mock it for being French. "Kamille, huh? Isn't that a Frenchman's name?
>>33667508Not like we could mock him for having girly name since Dominic, Dominique.
I just realised, that we are kind of simmilar to Sirocco in regards to being surrounded by newtype girls with a thing for us... We just lack the resources of the Jupiter Energy Company...
Rolled 17>>33667621>>33667508HAHAHA SO YOU LIKED TO GET DOMINATED DOM? WHAT A LITTLE BITCH.
>>33667651Yeah, we've made that joke before. If Scirocco does show up we're going to wind up with an instant rivalry.
