You, Fluff and Forty is currently on the control deck, it has been many hours since you last visited Neewri in his quarantine.
Forty is still somewhat depressed.

You select mission 2 and inform the database that you and your crew is responsible for investigating,

As you head up to check on Neewri in the quarentine zone, one of the doctors sees you and signals you to come over a bit away from your crew
>Vioarr Doctor: "So, we changed the treatment we provided him, now, the reason we did not use this at first, was because, how do i put it, it has some side effects to some species, but it is much more effective. We needed to change to this because the goo was growing faster than we could battle it with the old treatment. Now, as long as his genetic code does not contain the 'seperationist' manti culture code of any sort, and that he has not been subject to other radiation, he should be fine."
Your crew members did not hear any of this.
You then enter the quarantine cell.
>Neewri: H, Hi guys. They ho- hooked me up to this n-new stuff. I actually start f... fe... feeling better, b, but i got this weird floaty sensation, and some tingling in upper back, b-but they told me i was going to-to be okay in no time, the goo is finally shrinking in-inside of me.

You then mention that you were exposed to some waves for 5 hours earlier, and about what the side effects would be
>Vioarr Doctor: Uhh, well the side effects would be, behavior changes mostly, and possibly some physical changes aswell. He still needs to have Seperationist Manti's genetic code, it is naturally suppressed but mutations are known to sometimes cause them to become active again in varying degrees.

You can choose to wait it out until Neewri is healthy again, since most of the facility has been explored by now and Neewri is in a stable condition.

>Dr. Nerwa: "No, nononono. I wanted to feel that sensation again,oh well. i guess i will have to wait even more... my lovelies will find new life, that's what i promise them... i hope our paths cross and you have changed your mind in the future..."
After most of the crew goes back to their sleeping cabins and the relaxtion area, while you and neewri practice hand-to-hand combat.

You are now close to the Vioarr Civilian ship you need to investigate,

Check for any passive transmissions or radiation, and any suspicious or unusual features to its exterior, like modified logos or recently-repaired damage.

Run a scan on it. We have sensors right?

Let's see what's up with that shit. But properly scan it and shit, no more goo or whatever pls.

You scan the ship, it seems to be fine from the exterior, with the exception of a possibly broken broadcasting system, it looks it has been shot to pieces.
It also seems that there are people inside of the ship, at least a lot of different entities that are alive.

>>33776304
Their broadcasting system is shot to shit, but they should still have a local/internal comm system. Inquire from Neewri or Forty if they can get in on their frequency. Bring the rest of the crew to control deck.
>>
>>33776304
>Attempt to contact them through comms. If that doesn't work, contact the medical facility we accepted the quest from and inform them of the situation.
>>
>>33776304
Send out a message, just in case there's some receiving equipment somewhere on it.

Check the motion of the ship's living inhabitants. Are there any signs that might look like someone struggling?

Are any of the gunshot holes large enough to see through?

There's a chance it could be some sort of biological infection that's incapacitating the crew. I'd recommend sending Forty as an advanced scout, on the chance that he'd be immune to it.
>>
>>33776345
It seems there are no powerful enough signals from the ship you can connect to from your ship.

>>33776362
It was the Vioarr Database that provided it, not the medical Facility.

>>33776371
You can just barely see different entities moving around on the ship through the signals.
There are no actual hull breaches, only a damage broadcasting system.
To send in forty you will need to land in the Hangar.

It seems the damages are too severe to repair with what you have on the ship. You land in the hangar and send out Forty And Alrak, and provide Alrak with a airtight suit to protect herself.
Fluff comes out to the control room.
You now have some time with Neewri and Fluff before Forty and Alrak report back.

you ask them about the situation you are in right now aswell as what they feel about Alrak.
>Neewri: Well, this entire ship is unnerving to me, i don't like that some people decided to seemingly only destroy the broadcasting system. Alrak also seems like a nice person, i haven't gotten to talk with her since i've mostly been training combat with you.
>Fluff: I don't really now what to feel about the situation yet, atleast we are all okay for now. Alrak is also really nice to me, we talk about all sorts of things.

>>33776939
You ask Neewri about how he is feeling now some time after the treatment
>Neewri: Well, i still feel a bit weird, i have this weird, urge, i can't put it into words, it's like it's a new need or something that haven't fully developed.

Shortly after the conversation Alrak used the civilian ships local communication system to connect with the ship since you are in the hangar:
>Alrak: "Okay, good news, we have not been attacked and the civilians seem to not be injured or captured, bad news, everyone seems to be incredibly ill, i can barely talk with most of them, since they just don't respond or can't talk, they also keep coughing up this black stuff, Forty says that it looks a lot like the stuff that almost killed Neewri. If it's true this is not good. Good thing my suit here protects me, i'll try to get to the bottom of what is happening, Alrak out."

As a precaution, I think we should all wear airtight suits while we're here.

Ask the scouts if they could give us info on the ship's schematics, so we can check where they are. Also, tell her to get a sample in a clean, sealed container if possible.

It's important to keep alert for potential dangers. Some civilians might be controlled by the black slime and suddenly attack, or there could be a monster lurking somewhere.

I agree we shoud report our findings, but we should also look for survivors/Non infected. There might still be someone who isn't coughing up their insides.

You tell Fluff and Neewri to put on the airtight suits, and you yourself take on the heavier void-secured one which will also protect you.

You tell Alrak to try and get a sample in a sealed container.

Alrak: "Okay, i found a second-in-command,he appears to be healthy and uninfected, what a miracle, should i escort him back to the ship? I also have a small container filled with the goo."

Be cautious. He might be a traitor, or in an advanced stage of infection that appears normal. If he's reasonably close, the remaining crew will leave the ship and escort him. If not, then I'm not sure I want to risk someone sneaking on board while we're out.

Before entering the ship, check yourselves thoroughly for any spots where the black goo might be hiding.
>>
Rolled 56

>>33777953
Bring him in. If he is indeed uninfected then we need to take the risk.

Stay with Neewri to keep him calm while we wait Alrak.

We could also go the other way around and put him in a sealed suit so in case he IS infected nothing will spill out?
>>
Rolled 98

>>33778079
That's a good idea, but we don't have a suit to spare, do we? Well, our captain is the toughest; she can go without a suit if necessary. Though it'd be a bigger risk to give him a void-capable suit.

Okay, here's an idea. Swap suits with Fluffy, and help escort the survivor to the ship. Then, after checking for goo, we can take off our suit and give it to him.

Rolled 69

Ask the guy some questions. The first being if he knows of any other survivors or immediate dangers. If not, then we ought to leave the ship and report the situation.

For other questions, when did the incident occur? How quickly did the infection spread? Have there been any deaths? Any known way of curing or treating it? What destroyed the communications equipment? Why is the ship covered in blast marks?
>>
Rolled 40

>>33778646

You warm up the engines and leave the civilian city ship.
You then ask him who he is and what happened.
>David: My name is David stein, second in command of the Vioarr Civlian City Ship 11A. The infection started a few days ago, it grew so slowly and all of a sudden it just sped up, the entire city was infected after a few days. I have no idea where it came from, but i think it had something to do with our shipments of supplies, maybe it must have accidentally been transported as well. But shortly after the infection got spread around enough to alert Vioarr, a ship shot down our broadcasting system, i have no idea who it was but i suspect it was Odin due to the ships design. We tried to treat it ourselves but all our doctors were infected before we could do anything, the last few of us who were uninfected split up to avoid spreading it to each other. I doubt the others are still well. I have been doing my best to avoid infection, and i am so glad they sent out people to check what was happening, i don't know how much longer i would've survived.

We need to send a report as soon as possible. If we can't do it with our ship, can we repair the civilian's ship's systems enough to send one, or go to a nearby space dock? I'd prefer to avoid the latter, so as not to risk spreading the disease.

How long does it usually take for symptoms to show up? Also, ask David about his general well-being.

You send an alert to the Vioarr Database about infectious gray goo that was on the civilian ship.
Then you ask David about the symptoms delay
>David: I have no idea, i was mostly just going about my day until, one day, hell broke lose. I would prefer not to talk about it.
Forty escorts David into a sleeping cabin for quarantine.
The civilian ships systems are fine, but the broadcasting part of the ship was completly ruined and would need to be rebuild from scratch.
Okay, i'm ending the thread here, it's been a fun 9 hours. Expect the new thread tommorow, although a bit later than usual due to life stuff.

Have a nice night, then.

I've got to say that the whole "rolling for choices" thing isn't a good idea. Leaving things in the hands of randomness isn't as fun as letting the characters decide based on their personality or what they think would be a good plan. It's also a bad idea to have a limit for suggestions, as that puts people in a rush to answer quickly instead of thinking things through.
>>
>>33779671
Next time i will made it the most popular and in-charecter choice that is made instead, it is probably better.

I also archived the thread over at:

>>
>>33779719
The tags are a bit weird. The "aliens" at the end somehow combines with the comma after it, making it "aliens," because there's nothing after it. Also, "drawquest" is one word.
