/tg/, you have my sincere apologies for how long this has taken. I don't really have an excuse, unfortunately.

The twitter:https://twitter.com/DigimonQuest
The archive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Digimon%20Quest

The Storybook: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vIIWBQ-sHlw3PZ4D4yH9hiIl8YiqEVpy1ZUztKlSzzs

Last time on Digimon Quest:

"Well," You pause, rethinking your polite request of aid into something a bit more informal. "We'd like your help to...in all honesty, smite evil, punch things, go wild." You shrug. "More or less have some fun."

Another round of earth-shaking laughter meets your answer. Once the bellows subside, Aegisdramon brings one of his claws up and out of the water, slamming it on top of the shore in front of you to leverage himself further.

"YE GOT GUTS, LAD. BIG'UNS. YER ASKIN' ME TA FIGHT A WAR AH GOT NO STAKE IN, JUST FER FUN AND A DISTRACTION FOR YOU." Somehow, the metal that forms his mouth turns up in an impossible smile, wide and full of metal teeth.

"SOUNDS INTERESTIN'."

He pushes back, regarding your group with a decidedly intrigued expression.

"SO, WHAT'VE YE GOT SO FAR?"

Huh?

Seeing your confusion, the sea monster continues, waving a claw lazily.

"WHAT KINDA FORCES'RE WE LOOKIN' AT? WHAT MANNER O' MEN HAVE YE ASSEMBLED, BOY?"

Oh. Oh dear.

You look back at your friends, and the combined worry and amusement you're getting from them doesn't help much. Sally smiles in support, at least. You look back to the Dead Zone's leader, and take a deep breath.

"You're the first I'm asking for help, actually." Surprisingly, the golden reptile(?) merely nods.

"AH COULDA GUESSED, BUT HAD TA KNOW FOR SURE. THE QUESTION IS, WHO YA THINK YOU'D WANT IN THIS LIL' SCUFFLE A' YERS."

You think about it, about the rumors you've heard and the digimon you've met...

>who do you think you'd like to recruit, Wayne?
>>
>>33870969
Digimon Quest!
Man, been a while.
How're you, Gale?
>>
>>33870969
,,,Honestly I'd like to recruit the Nightmare Soldiers.
They've got it in the name, and everything.
>>
>>33871068
Now why did I put ","s there...
>>
Anyone want to go with something besides Nightmare Soldiers?
If anything would be able to match what we're talking about when it comes to getting the assholes hiding away to get out and play, it'd be the Nightmare Soldiers marching.
...We'd, of course, need to tell Olympus that this is not an invasion.
>>
>>33871068
Most of them are in the City, though.

>>33870969
We'll take anyone who wants to fight. The more and the stronger, the better, of course.

So...
Should we go for pretty much being open for anyone, but with a preference for strong Nightmare Soldiers?
>>
>>33870969
Yeah I think the lack of structure is really hurting this quest.

We're not even nearly ready to take on Yggdrasil, but we don't have a sequence to follow either.

We don't really know anything.
>>
>>33871502
I'll be perfectly honest, this really bothers me and I don't know how I can fix it. I'm genuinely surprised you guys are even reading this at all with how badly I'm doing. I really wish I knew how to git gud at this.
>>
>>33871549
Maybe give us some clear goals that this guy can suggest to us?
He should know, after all, since he's got some experience.
>>
>>33871549
...Try and set up subquests and such that we need to succeed on?
>>

I can do this.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to say that if there's something you think I'm doing wrong or could be better at, please tell me. The "First Quest" excuse ran out a long time ago, and I'm still pretty shit at this. Any improvement you guys can help me make, I'd appreciate, both story-wise and how I run things.
>>
>>33871694
I would like some fights that we don't just auto win
Like the ogre fight
>>
>>33871549
Well look, the Sovereigns gave us the digivices didn't they?

They could pretty much just text us assignments, or the Laird could ask us to do something just to make sure we won't get ourselves killed first chance we get.

Like yeah, it might be too much to be like season one and neatly move up the ladder of level appropriate enemies, but it seems like there's nothing but friendly and powerful NPCs wherever we go.
>>
>>33871694
As the other guys said, a couple of subquests would help. And make them result in the other Digimon in our party digivolving, please. Our companions aren't as relevant as they should be, both human and Digimon. Zoe, especially, should have the spotlight as the official strategist of the group more frequently. She is the smart one, after all.
>>
>>33871779
Sovereigns texting us, now that they have some time to rest after we brought the greek gods into the fight again, could be good.
>>
So Sovereigns should take the place of Genai, basically?

These have all been noted. I've got a new document just for shit I need to work on now. Thank you, anons.

For now, however, it seems like we want to ask Aegisdramon his opinion, and make the other kids relevant again. If you'd like, I can do both of these and get a head start on shaping the fuck up.
>>
>>33871978

>>
>>33871978
Venusmon is our patron right? She should send us some missions or whatnot as well
>>

>>
>>33871925
Possible.

I feel like, seeing as what we've done so far, we might as well accept that we're effectively couriers more than anything else.

The problem is that while the Dead Zones are a good concept, they're not so great to play as because nothing is left.

"I have some ideas, but nothing solid enough to seriously suggest." You answer, and the digimon nods. Then something occurs to you that honestly makes you feel more than a bit ashamed. "To be honest, this isn't even really my deal. Zoe's much better at this kind of stuff than I am, and I haven't been asking her help." You look back to your oldest friend, and send her an apologetic look. zoe only huffs in response, but steps up beside you, ignoring you in favor of Aegisdramon. While you know you should be feeling worse about how you've been treating the others, you can't help but notice how much healthier your friend looks now, how much stronger she is in the way she carries herself and speaks.

"Aegisdramon," She begins, "This might be rude of me, but I have to ask this: it's obvious you've got experience in battle, but I need to know how much of that is leading an army, and how much of it is being led?"

The great digimon before the two of you blinks in surprise, the glow in his eyes flickering for a moment, before he hums in contemplation.

"TA' BE HONEST, LASS, AH 'AVEN'T TAKEN PART IN A FULL-ON WAR IN 'UNDREDS OF CYCLES. AH'M MUCH OLDER THAN AH LOOK, AH'LL HAVE YE KNOW." A giant claw comes up to scratch its metal chin. "BUT AH'VE SPENT A COUPLE'A CYCLES UNDER THA COMMAND OF SOME AH RESPECTED. THERE WAS ONE, LONG TIME AGO, THAT AH WOULDA CONTINUED TO FOLLOW, IF HE HADN'T UP AND VANISHED."

Zoe, seeing something she can use, cuts in rather suddenly. "Then you only follow those you respect?" A growl is her answer.

"YER DAMNED RIGHT, LASS. STRENGTH AIN'T THA ONLY THING IN THIS WORLD, AN' BEING STRONG AIN'T ENOUGH TO GET MAH RESPECT."

"So we'd need to prove ourselves to you if we want you to join this war." She muses, earning another nod from the metallic beast.

"JUS' SO." Another smile forms on his metal jaws. "AN' I GOT JUS' THE THING, TOO."

They both look at you expectantly, waiting for your answer.

Let's not be rude.
This guy has been pretty reasonable thus far, what with us asking him to go to war for us.
>>
>>33872512
I can't be the only one who loves hearing this guy talk, can I?
>>
>>33872512

>Let's hear it

Hey, maybe it'll set us on the path of some decently challenging mook that we can beat for some experience. That, the guy seems to be reasonable so far, no reason not to hear him out.

Also, damned shame I just caught this quest just as I was about to head out for groceries.
>>

>>
>>33872841
Probably, for what we know. We should ask him about it at some point.
>>
"Alright, let's hear it."

Aegisdramon grins, before his expression suddenly becomes much more serious.

"NOW, AH TOLD YE AH TOOK THIS PLACE A WHILE BACK, AN' THAT THOSE UPTIGHT LADS IN THA WOODS THERE CHOSE TA FOLLOW ME." He pauses, and you realize he's waiting for you to indicate that you're listening. Kind of a needless gesture. You have no choice but to listen. You nod quickly, and he continues, pleased. "PROBLEM IS, AH HAD TA PUSH SOME ANNOYIN' LIL' BRATS OUT HERE TA DO IT. FOR A WHILE, IT WAS QUIET, AND I COULD ENJOY SOME PEACE FER ONCE. BUT THEN THE LIL' SHITES CAME BACK, AND THEY'VE GOT SOME OTHER ANNOYANCES WITH 'EM." He gestures out to the forest on the far bank. "AND THA FOREST THA' WAY ENDS 'AFORE THEIR NEW TERRITORY STARTS. MAH PEOPLE WON' GO ANY FURTHER THAN THA' 'LESS THEY GOT NO CHOICE." He closes in with the bank, his face coming level with your group and his voice actually lowering, though you can tell he's having trouble keeping that way.

"So Here's What Ah Need Yew Ta Dew Fer Me, Boyo: If Ye Can Get Those Bastards Ta Fuck Off, Or Better Yet, Figure Out Who's In Charge O' Their Lil' Operation And Take Em Out, Ah'll Consider Yer Offer. I Won't Be Joinin' Just Yet- This Kind O' Thing Ain't Enough, But It'll Be A Start. WHAT DO YE SAY, BOYO?!" His yell at the end was louder than necessary, but it got the point across rather well.

>What do ye say, boyo?

>>
"I can't make this call myself," You say, and turn to the group as a whole.

"What do you all think? Should we do this?" Though they're a little surprised, your friends seem pleased that you asked, and talk amongst themselves for a couple moments. After a brief discussion, it's Daniil that leads them to the shore to stand with you and Zoe.

"I'm all for it, Rogers, and so is Troian." He says, jabbing his thumb towards himself and his partner, who nods in reply. Aslan merely grins and flexes his hands, knuckles cracking ominously. Your own partner gives you a wide smile as her answer. It's Niklas, however, that voices something other than agreement.

"I'm not one for violence, to be honest, but while I may not like it, I know it's necessary for what we need to do." He sends you a pointed glance, his arms crossed. "And we don't even know who or what we might be up against. Until we hear who or what it is we're fighting, I'm not giving this my approval."

You can definitely see the reasoning in his answer, and honestly you're glad he said it, rather than agree with the rest just to avoid looking like the odd one out.

You turn back to Aegisdramon, a sigh on your lips as you do so.

"I'm sorry, but unless it's unanimous, I can't agree to your request just yet. Though, if you'd like to tell us who it is that's causing you trouble, that might change."

The sea monster nods thoughtfully before addressing Niklas directly.

"AYE, THA'S A GOOD WAY TO LOOK AT THINGS, LAD. YE'VE GOT A GOOD HEAD ON THOSE SHOULDERS." He rubs his chin again, the scraping metal causing you to wince. "THERE'S ALWAYS A BUNCH'A THESE SMALL, IRRITATIN' ONES, BUT EVERY NOW AN' AGAIN AH CATCH SIGHT OF A COUPLE STRONGER ONES. NOT TOO MANY O' THOSE, HONESTLY. BUT THA ONE IN CHARGE, HIM I KNOW."
>>

He growls again, his scratching claw forming a sort-of fist and slamming into the shore. "AH THOUGHT THA' COWARD DIED IN THA' DARK MASTERS' WAR, BUT APPARENTLY AH WAS WRONG. IF AH'M CORRECT, THO, HE'S BEEN WEAKENED MIGHTILY BY THE INJURIES HE WAS DEALT BY A FRIEND O' MINE."

He motions to the centaur digimon- centaurmon?- still standing to the side, and the creature nods, before disappearing into the forest.

"ONE O' THEM HAD THIS ENGRAVED ON 'IS ARMOR, AND WHEN AH GAVE THA BRAT A GOOD THUMPIN', THIS BIT DROPPED OFF."

The centaurmon returns, this time carrying something with him. It's a scuba tank, of all things, but what's on the side is what interests the lake's master. When he shows it to your group, you start to see why.

A metal mask surrounded by four blade-like fins decorates the tank, and you can tell it's not part of the original metal.

"So, this is the mark of whoever the ones bothering you serve?" You ask.

"THA'S RIGHT."

"And...who is that, exactly?" Daniil asks, a hint of anticipation in his voice.

"HIS NAME'S METALSEADRAMON, BUT DON'T LET HIS FLAIR AND BOASTIN' FOOL YE. HE'S A RUDDY COWARD, AND WEREN'T EVER THAT STRONG TA BEGIN WITH." A grim chuckle escapes him. "AH REMEMBER SEEIN' HIM TRY AN' TAKE ON MAH FRIEND, ONE ON ONE. 'HONORABLE COMBAT', HE SAID, AFORE HE USED EVERY ROTTEN TRICK IN THA BOOK. STILL DINNAE WIN. AND IF HE'S EVEN OLDER AN' WEAKER NOW, I CANNAE SEE HIM GIVEN' YE MUCH TROUBLE."

Niklas takes this in slowly, and you give him time to think about it. After a couple of minutes, he nods, hesitantly.

"If he's no longer as much of a threat as you say, then I can't think of any more reasons not to." His expression grows much more determined and serious, much more than you've ever seen him. "If we have to fight, then it's better to fight those we know we can win against for now." Daniil nods in agreement, as does Aslan, though the lion seems much more interested in the fight than the reasons for it.
>>

>>
>>33874224
So that's it. With Niklas's agreement, the group has spoken.

"Then it's settled," You find yourself saying. "We're going to finish off this nuisance and those that are with him." The others all confirm, whether by nonverbal or spoken agreement, and you return your attention to Aegisdramon, who still has that grin on his face.

>Is there anything else you'd like to ask or inform him of, or anything else you'd like to do before you go?

With nothing else to to but go, you give Aegisdramon a respectful nod, and motion for your group to move out, intending to hug the bank until you reach the side he indicated earlier.

It soon becomes apparent just what he was talking about, however, when the green, healthy foliage around you abruptly gives way to gnarled, withered trees and leafless bushes. The ground goes from a soft, earthy loam to dusty, dried dirt caked with dead leaves until barely any of it is visible. The trees around you, once lush and thriving, now are barren husks with dried bark and cracked trunks. At least, those you can see- the only thing that hasn't changed from the forest you left behind is the all-encompassing gray blanket stretching as far as the eye can see. This is a Dead Zone.

And then there's the chill. The cold, carried by the fog, seeps into your clothes, rendering any warmth they might have given you null. You can see Sally shivering in the corner of your eye, her cape not offering much warmth, while behind you, Niklas is huddled further into his coat. Zoe has claimed a spot on Aslan's shoulder, and surprisingly, so has Troian, the lion's mane offering some sort of protection from the cold. Daniil and Tesla are the least affected- not very in Daniil's case, and not at all for Niklas's partner, though that is to be expected.

And it's silent. Deathly so. The kind of quiet that turns every noise, down the smallest twitch, loud enough to hear for miles before the fog swallows it up. Before, the silence was uncomfortable, but not unbearable. You were trying to meet with someone to talk with them. Now, it's unnerving, troubling. You can barely see or hear, and any noise you make is bound to carry to whoever else might be here.

The idea of being watched in these conditions is more than discomforting, but there's nothing you can do about that.

What you can do, though, is try and plan for whatever you might encounter.

>Ask Zoe if she has any Ideas
As you walk, you slowly make your way towards Zoe, catching her attention easily.

"Anything you'd suggest for a situation like this?" You whisper, though even that seems too loud. She looks thoughtful, then her eyes widen as she comes to some conclusion.

"Sally's broom. If she can move silently, and get out of sight, we might have the advantage of another fighter they won’t suspect.”

The plan is sound, and nobody else seems to have a better idea, so you quickly and quietly relay it to your partner, and in seconds, she’s left the ground, the fog enveloping her form far too swiftly for your liking.

While you might have a secret weapon now, you’ve lost a member of your team on the ground, for all intents and purposes. Even worse, Sally is one of your two strongest fighters. You’re now left with two “child” level digimon and one “adult” level, against...who knows what.

You try to listen to your surroundings, to find SOMETHING, but only deafening silence answers you. In fact, you can't even hear your group anymo-

Your group. Your friends. You can't hear them.

You spin on the spot, trying to find the others, but the fog's thickness and your apparent sudden loss of hearing keep you from locating in your surroundings. You can see nothing and hear nothing.

A spike of panic blasts through you, and for a moment you almost begin hyperventilating-

When a sudden weight on your shoulder shakes you out of your thoughts, and almost out of your skin at the same time. You almost hurt your neck from how quickly you turn to face...

Daniil. You breathe a sigh of relief, and then take a deep breath to try and quiet the hammering of your heart in your chest.

"Rogers, what happened?" Your companion asks worriedly. "You were besides us, and then..."

You have the presence of mind to feel embarrassed, at least.

"I- I was trying to listen, figure out if there was anyone else...but something happened. I couldn't hear anything, or see anything. It was..."

You shudder, trying to forget the experience already.

"Well," the Russian frowns, definitely as unnerved by the idea as you were. "The group is this way. We stopped as soon as we noticed you weren't with us."

You nod, and let him lead the way back.

I'm sort of running low on steam right now, actually. I'm probably gonna call it right now, then pick up tomorrow. If the thread lasts through tomorrow, or if it ends too early, I'll probably continue into tuesday as well.
>>
>>33878633

Darn. Oh well, if you're tired, you're tired. Catch you tomorrow night.
>>
>>33878633
Alright good night, thanks for running
>>
>>33878633
That's fine, thanks for running and sticking with it.

You're already showing good improvement.
>>
>>33878633
I seem to be late to the party, but for what it's worth:

It's been mentioned before that the structure usually leaves the players with no prompt. I think a major factor in that is how we are playing as Roger rather than the entire party. We don't know what they think or what they would do, so a good third of player choices is "find out what they think". This is compounded by the whole "not actually leader" bit.

Having the NPC give the quest is a perfectly fine method of doing things, considering that this is based of of the show, but it feels like we're not going to feel in control unless everyone splits up again.
>>
Since we're going up against a boss (or possibly mid-boss), might I suggest something? Maybe at certain points during the fight have us switch to a different character, and have us give him/her input on what to do, and then keep on switching until the boss is finished, or something like that. It'll probably give us some insight as to what the character's like and what he/she is thinking.
>>
Just as an aside, if you're really worried about pacing throw more encounters in. Not necessarily random packs of enemies, but presumably the digiverse is moving around us, so things should be happening on the road and not necessarily part of the main plot.
>>
>>33884566
>encounters
yeah, rather than tests of skill or power(although we ARE lacking in those as well), the encounters needed to digivolve usually involve understanding your partner better. This usually comes in the form of puzzles or scenery that brings certain topics, opinions, or lifestyles to focus.

Man, don't know if my heart can take even-lewder Sally
>>
Gale should be here soon right?
>>
>>33889304
R-right, guys?...right...?
>>
>>33889542
r-right.

I'll be back up and running soon enough.
>>
>>33890400
Yay! Thanks Gale
>>

So...

Checking Gale's twitter...
Apparently each major digimon has a song associated with them.
I wonder what Sally's would be?

Glitch Mob's Between Two Points if the twitter is to be believed.

I'm so sorry- something came up and I had no time. I'm back now.
Again, I'm sorry.
>>
>>33897107
Ah, well, good to see you again.
We're going to continue now, then?
>>
>>33897158
Yes. That is what will be happening.
I'll get to writing up the result from last night.
>>
>>33897317
Nice. It's 2 AM over here though, so I don't think I'll stay around for more than one or two posts.

What a shame. It's 10AM for me, so I can quest all day long!

You in Europe as well?
>>
>>33898092
Yeah. I was able to follow quests before, when I was used to sleeping from 5 AM to 2 or 3 PM. Now going to bed at 3 AM is pretty tough.

Sorry for blogging, but we gotta do something while we wait for Gale, right?
>>
>>33898405
Yeah, I hear ya.
Been rough on me as well.

Yeah, might as well talk with each other while we wait

Gale, still alive?

Classic Gale

Something is terribly wrong with this forest, you decide. You didn't move one step while you were trying to listen for something, and somehow you lost track of everything. That's not normal. This forest is not normal. Daniil looks just as disturbed as he leads you back to the others, constantly checking the corners of his vision- as if he expects to be attacked any minute. You don't blame him at all.

The trip back to the others is short, but filled with a tense silence, one that doesn’t go away even when you reach the group. You shake your head in response to their questioning gazes, motioning to keep quiet. Zoe gets the message and passes it to the others quietly, while Niklas didn’t seem inclined to say much in the first place. He and Daniil exchange a couple quick words, but it seems everyone more or less understands: this place is fucked. Something is wrong here. Very wrong.

You’re even more worried about Sally now- she’s up above your group with no idea of what happened, or what could happen. You’re not sure if you want to call her back yet, but the thought does occur to you. Part of what’s bothering you, though, is how empty this forest is. You expected to run into SOMETHING by now, but instead, nothing is what nearly got to you. You feel like you shouldn’t have to remind yourself that the digital world isn’t normal, but when things like this happen…

You try and keep calm as you walk, and for the most part you succeed. The others seem to be holding up rather well, too, with the exception of Daniil, who keeps looking over his shoulder periodically. Then again, you only see him do so because you’re doing it as well.

And then, when you turn back to the path, you see-
>>
>>33899330

...a TV. It’s just sitting there, in a gap between the trees, the light from the screen cutting through the fog more easily than you thought possible. You can’t see what’s on it, but you’re hesitant to move closer, for obvious reasons.

While you consider your options, it’s Niklas that continues walking, heading straight for the television.

Call Sally, let Niklas approach and examine the TV with his partner. Form a circle around him to make sure that nothing gets close without you noticing.

6:30 over here in beautiful California. The 6-6 workday usually means I only catch Gale during my breaks so this is perfect for me.

>>
>>33899859
Whatever this is, you're not taking any chances. Pulling out your digivice, you hit the option you know will get you into contact with your partner. Her voice comes in loud and clear, and more than a little worried.

“Wayne? Is something wrong?”

you have to think for a moment, trying to determine if anything IS wrong.

“I don’t think so, but we’ve found something. Just to be safe, do you think you could come down a little lower, keep an eye out?” Her response is immediate, and you see a flash of red pass by overhead.

“Consider it done, Wayne. Just…” Her voice takes on a concerned, almost pained tone. “Stay safe, please?” You can’t help but smile.

“I’ll try.” You snap the digivice shut, and move to catch up with Niklas, who it seems has already reached the TV and is inspecting it. His partner seems one step ahead of you, already by his side, one claw ready to do...whatever Tesla does, should the TV prove to be a trap. Wow, it feels really weird saying that.

The TV isn’t a very contemporary one- you’d say it’s more from the 90’s, maybe 2000’s. Old, curved glass, and sitting on a plain stand. What you can’t understand is that it’s ON, but there’s no cords. It’s not getting power from anything. It doesn’t make sense.

Right now, the screen is filled with nothing but static, and the sound coming through is no better. Niklas, however, has his ear to the small built-in speakers.

“..What are you-” You stop when his hand shoots up, asking for silence.

“...I heard something. It was coming from this.”

“...From the TV?” Zoe asks, an eyebrow raised. The other boy nods.

“It wasn’t static. I heard someone speaking.”

And now this just got a hell of a lot creepier.

"Can you hear anything now?" You ask, and Niklas frowns, before shaking his head.

"No, not right now."

"What did you hear?" Daniil asks, still looking around warily. His friend hums and taps the side of the TV idly.

"I don't really know. People talking. The voices were very different. I couldn't make out all of what they were saying, but I know they were arguing."

Well, that's interesting, even if it only leads to more questions. Ignoring how this thing works or why it's here, why is an argument between two people showing up on it? Who were they?

Maybe you could try and fiddle with the tv's controls, fine tune it to clear things up some. Still, something doesn't seem right about any of this.

You look at the others, trying to gauge their reactions to this. Daniil looks very much unnerved, but otherwise you can't tell what he thinks. Zoe is more open, in that you can tell she wants to know more despite her own unease. Aslan looks a bit interested, but is more worried with watching your surroundings for enemies. And while you can't see Sally right now, you know she's watching too.

There are too many questions all of a sudden. You're not sure what to do here...

Hm. Maybe ask Aslan if he could carefully lift it up? Maybe tilt it a bit?

We don't really need to go home, the focus is saving the Digital World.

I'd like to just raise a concern that turning our back on this thing might not be a good idea.

alright, if we're tuning the tv, then please roll 2d20 to not only find the right frequency, but to tune it so it's audible.

tentatively, you reach for the buttons on the bottom edge of the screen, and begin to, for lack of a better word, fiddle with the settings. You flip through channels, inputs, mess with the volume, trying to prompt any sort of change in the endless static. It takes a while, but eventually Niklas, who still has his ear to the speakers grabs your hand, just as you're about to change the channel again.

"No, that's it. That's the one." You nod, and begin to turn up the volume, messing with a couple of the settings, though with something this old you can't do as much as you'd be able to with a newer model. Those thoughts are gone from your mind, however, as soon as you hear the voices coming from the television.

"...do you mean he's trapped there?! What the hell were you doing?" The audio quality isn't the best, but you can tell this voice belongs to an adult. A very angry one. "It's your job to make sure shit like this doesn't happen!" For a moment, you're wondering who they're talking to, until a second voice speaks up, this one somewhat younger-sounding.

"I can't keep an eye on it all the time, and besides, how was I supposed to know?! He had the proper clearance- clearance YOU gave him, old man!" The first voice lets out a growl of anger, before the sound of something shattering comes over.

"Then all that's left is to hope he doesn't fuck everything up from the inside."

...and then there's nothing more but static.

You stand there, for a moment, before looking to Niklas. If his expression is anything to go by, he's as bewildered by this as you are.

you have discovered the first of the Televisions. Perhaps, if you find more, things may become more clear...

>and this is where I stop for today. I know I've been a disappointment so far, but I've been finding it very hard to concentrate all day. I'll probably pick back up tomorrow, and if I don't, I'll let you know when.
