I wasnt aware willpower had a cap, but social combat doesnt relies just on willpower. Your social fi defense is based on manipulation (which is, for purposes of social fu, identical to dexterity in normal combat) and charisma (which is your stamina)

So her willpower isint instantly eaten through. First I need to roll her manipulation and then her charisma, but she's not a social butterfly, for sure. Hold on a minute

BTW appearance does the same job as strenght when it comes to social combat, so Ned's social fu damage has a lot of automated successes.
