Miss Nakamura does not blink as she is on the phone, and she does not break eye contact.

The small smile has slid off her face and a scowl has replaced it.

You feel uncomfortable already. When Miss Nakamura reaches into her desk and sets a small white block on the table and your hearing turns into nothing but white noise, you begin to feel a little panicked.

She turns around in her chair to face the wall. You’re left in a crackly silence for what feels like forever, but the chrono on the wall indicates was less than a minute or two.

When Miss Nakamura turns back around and disables the devices and sets her phone down and back into its cradle even you can tell that her mood has visibly soured.

Her smile doesn’t return as she says, “You and Wendy seem to have been spending lots of time together. Define the relationship to me.”

“Is she in trouble? ….am I in trouble?”

You begin to squeeze the arms of the chair again.

“Please answer the question, Miss Saint Claire.”

You pull at the crew neck of your t-shirt awkwardly as you say, “She’s a mentor. I guess. She could be a lot better at it…”

“I see.”

Her attention is suddenly diverted from you. She looks back down at her desk with great intensity as her eyes quickly bounce between left and right.

“I’m sorry, Miss Saint Claire, but our session must end early today. I have deposited your pay into your account. I will have my assistant send you an itemized invoice for your services rendered. Please see yourself out.”

O...okay. You could’ve used some more time with a counselor than this.

You push yourself up with your arms out of the chair and leave her office.

You have an entire day off. If only you knew what to do with it.

Wendy is around here somewhere. Supposed to be around…

You walk quickly towards one of the more common common areas, hoping to find her, nervously scanning ahead and behind you.

Hopefully you don’t look as panicked or paranoid as you feel right now, but you’re interrupted as you nearly run into the woman you’re looking for.

She looks better than she did this morning.

Wendy is smoking, a half burnt cigarette in her mouth. She seems anxious.

“I didn’t know you smoked.”

“Sometimes. Like when my meeting is interrupted by a phone call so important he turns on a white noise generator and turns his face away.”

“Wait...what? Your counselor is a man?”

Wendy takes a final, heroic drag on her cigarette to finish it and flicks it towards an ashtray.

It misses.

She exhales and shrugs, “Is that weird for you?”

“But what about, you know…”

You drop your voice to a whisper, “Girl stuff?”

Wendy groans and looks disappointed and disgusted in you.

“Unless you meant the phone thing. Mine did that too and like half the time before the white noise generator or whatever you called it she was just staring at me. Do you think something, you know...happened?”

Wendy pulls out a carton of cigarettes and a polished lighter from her purse, and brings one to her mouth and lights it. She puts them away before speaking.

She says in between drags, “I guess. It’s not like a phone call out of nowhere is ever a good sign in the first place, right? And they’re usually pretty ice hearted so if that mystery phone call rattled them enough to end early then we should probably leave right now.

Oh. My counselor was asking questions about you. It was...weird. He normally doesn’t give a shit about you. I didn’t say anything, obviously.”

“No. ...why?”

Wendy rubs her face. You can see heavy, discolored bags under her eyes. Did she not put on make up?

You can’t really see her facial tattoos, though…

“You said you needed to go shopping and get clothes. Plus I need to replace the outfit I ruined and threw away and there’s new seasonal li- why am I even explaining this to you. Do you want me to take you to all the nice places or not?”

“I don’t understand why you’re being…”

Wendy interrupts, “Being nice?”

You nod vigorously, “Yeah.”

“I feel bad for trashing the house, okay? Stop pressing it.”

You put a hand over your mouth in response.

“You got paid, right?”

You nod.

“A lot?”

You shrug, “I don’t know. She didn’t tell me how much, just that I’ll get an invoice and I was already paid. I’ll check.”

You pull out your phone and log into the secure financial server. You scan your thumb and index finger with the fingerprint sensor in your phone and wait as the credentials are checked.

At least you’re still connected to the company’s wireless out here in the parking lot.

After a few seconds of a loading screen you’re brought to the account of MICHELLE ODETTE SAINT CLAIRE.

You push the “balance,” button and…

Oh. Wow.

That’s a lot of money. Even more money than last time, which was already a lot of money.

So that’s...You don’t know how it’s broken down.

All you know is that there’s a cool forty thousand that wasn’t there yesterday but is today.

“I checked. It’s a lot.”

“How much is “a lot”?”

>Almost there!
>>
>>33964415

“Forty thousand lots worth of a lot.”

“Oh you motherfucker...goddamnit. You must’ve gotten the credit for the idol kills.

Whore.”

You stammer out, “S-sorry…”

“Whatever. I still cleared like thirty or whatever. I don’t need to buy another five or ten or fifteen or twenty thousand dollar dress or anything like that until the new fall/winter catalogues come out anyways.”

...what? Twenty thousand dollars on a dress?

Wendy must see your face because she asks, “You seem confused.”

“Twenty thousand?”

“Twenty is a cheaper dress. I haven’t been working here that long, though. I made it in time for spring/summer and that’s it. Skyler’s earned more since he’s worked here longer but he doesn’t spend money except to pay rent and buy heroin. Asshole.

Anyways. Do you want me to take you out or not?”

“Yes ma’am. I mean, if you’re sure…”

You look down awkwardly as you rub your hands together.

“Ho-lee shit. Whatever they did to you in the Army they did it deep. Holy shit.”

She kills her cigarette with a final drag and rolls down her window, flicking the butt out into the pavement and exhaling through it as well.

“Whatever. I wish you didn’t look so...poor. It’d be easier to blend in with the regular people, but whatever. We’re going to take two cars since I have my own shit to buy. I’ll text you the add-”

She’s on her phone trying to find...something.

“Oh. What’s your number?”

“It’s...uh…”

You pull out your phone and flip it over, and read the number you scrawled in permanent ink on the back cover to Wendy.

“I sent the address to you. Park wherever, but meet me in front of the south side entrance of
the store called Zoe de Paris. There’s a stupid umlaut over the e. It’ll probably be obvious.

...you know what an um- whatever. Don’t care. Get out, let’s go already.”

You push the door open and get out. Wendy parked a ways from you, in a different block of the parking lot.

You get in, nervously, and rub the steering wheel with both hands for a few seconds.

You start rolling, slowly. The entire trip from here to there could be considered slow, but you didn’t survive IEDs and artillery in Afghanistan to die in a car crash.

Slow and steady…

You get there, eventually, but you end up in a parking lot on the east side of the mall. You take a walk.

You haven’t been to this mall before. It’s...nice. Really nice. Too nice for you. Wendy, maybe, but definitely not you.

You haven’t even heard of most of these brands before. Armanté, Aston, Ami Feather...ok, Horizon you’ve heard of before, along with Renraku’s brands and you’re sure at least one of these is a Saedar-Krupp brand but still.

There must be more, too, since you’re only walking around the edge of the mall. You wonder what’s inside.

Wendy is standing in front of a large department store looking building made out of black glass and polished metal in front of a pair of sliding glass doors. She looks impatient, but she always sort of looks like that. You hope you haven’t made her wait.

She sees you and walks the distance between you and her, “Finally. I’ve been here for like ten minutes. I look like an asshole.

Whatever. Let’s just get inside. So, you know what you want, right? You’re the one who wanted to go shopping in the first place.”

“Yes. Absolutely. One hundred percent I know exactly what I am doing at all times I am in full control.”

Uh oh. She’s on to you.

She leads you through the whisper quiet doors. Inside is just as modern as outside, but with more luxury. In front of you is the perfume department. Pretty girls behind tall pearl white desks. The air smells perfumed and it’s climate controlled. You guess somewhere in the low or mid 70s.

It’s nice.

“Cool. Like what?”

“Uhhhhh… Pants?”

“Are you asking me a question or telling me something?”

“You know, like...general terms and...isn’t the point of shopping browsing and window shopping and whatever? Right? Exchanging ideas or whatever and everything, right?”

You force a wide smile at Wendy. Lots of teeth, right? That’s how a smile is right?

Wendy looks disgusted and says, “Okay, first, whatever this is,” she waves a hand all around your head and face, “I want you to never, ever do that again. Ever. Holy shit, I’m going to need to find a second therapist.”

She loosens her expression as she continues, “Second, you’re a retard but I guess I already knew this. I don’t know how you’re even able to string so many words together into a sentence but whatever. So anyways, ok, apparently you have no idea what Zoe’s so that’s a surprise I honestly thought that at some point in your short and miserable life you would’ve kind of heard.”

Otherwise, a couple of dresses would be nice.

AI upgrades meaning...what, exactly? I mean, if you wanted to you could call Karan.

I don't know if Michelle or Wendy consider her a reliable opinion.

Like, give her knowledge of clothing and what goes together. Or whatever they might have?
Also can you get something thats nice for an AIs? Do they even care?

Michelle buying a gift for Karan is too next level for me to ever have thought of. Official response is: I don't even even, but I'd like to see Michelle try.

Karan would be (or could be made) aware of fashion, but it'd be very technical/mathematical, and not very holistic (probably). Along the lines of "I sorted through three trillion photos of women wearing clothing and I have deduced that people wear pants with shirts" (but more useful than that, probably), but lacking understanding why people wear Item A with Item X, etc.

also I'll start writing now.

“I would prefer it if you held my hand.”

You try to say it as a joke but it comes out feeling like everything else you say.

“So help me god, Michelle.”

You chuckle awkwardly. “Heh. Heh. Joke.”

Wendy looks at you seriously, “You’re not funny.”

Yeah...you know….

“Seriously though.”

“Dress...ess…”

“I don’t understand your confusion.”

“It’s just...you know...I haven’t worn a dress.”

Wendy says, “Yes. I can tell. So what?”

“I mean like...ever.”

“What?”

“Never. Ever.”

“Not even once? Didn’t you go to prom or a dance or a wedding or anything at all?”

You shake your head. “Our parents died when I was seventeen, in the winter. It went downhill from there…”

Wendy looks...confused? Shocked or horrified? “What the fuck do you mean “our”?”

Oh….Okay. that’s weird. even for you.

You spit it out quickly trying to limit the damage, “Sister. That I have.”

Wendy looks relieved, “Jesus Christ. You need to stop being such a dipshit, I was about to bail. I could not deal with you calling me and you “our.””

She looks up towards the ceiling for a second, parsing through some emotions that you can barely see play out on her face.

“...Sorry for being weird about it. It just made me really, really uncomfortable which is a surprise because everything about you is uncomfortable and awkward.”

“Thanks…”

Wendy smiles like a bitch.

“Seriously, though? Not even once? Don’t they make you wear skirts and dresses or whatever for army formal wear?”

You shrug and say, “They told me to wear pants, so I wore pants. And no, still not even once…”

“You were deprived. We’ll start there, I guess, but don’t get your hopes up for getting too many. Like, two tops, maybe three. You can get more from other places that won’t or don’t cost like ten gees or whatever.”

I-is this what friendship feels like?

You try to enjoy the sensation of someone touching you, even if it’s only just holding your hand, but you quickly find it very uncomfortable and cough awkwardly, pulling away from Wendy.

She looks down and to her right, having either forgotten or internalized her act, and blushes and quickly looks away, head quickly forward.

“S-sorry. I got caught up in the moment.”

She pulls her hands away and holds them in front of her waist.

10 hours later than I usually start would make it 11 PM to 1 AM local...can't really start a thread that late ever, but especially when I start school in a week or so.

I could start a thread at 6 or 7 hours later than I do, but last few times I've done an evening thread (evening local), I end up saging off the board since a LOT of other, way more popular quests are run during the evening.

It seems that these afternoon threads (again, local) offer the best in terms of participation since not many other quests go on.

“I…”

“...ummm.”

You wring your hands together. You’re not comfortable with prolonged (or not…) contact.

You cough.

For her part, Wendy tries as well saying, “...so you’ll probably want to find one really beautiful dress for any formal stuff the company does, and then one or maybe two other dresses for,”

Wendy gags, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, and I definitely don’t believe it, dates or something important like that.”

The escalator ride ends and deposits you onto a black marble floor with white marble contrasts in between the tiles.

Wendy says, “So...hmmm.”

She begins examining you in detail, and spins you around by torquing your shoulders once or twice.

“My official diagnosis is you have a severe case of white girl. You have no ass, you have no tits, and I’m just guessing but I feel confident in saying your legs are gross based on the status of your feet and your hair and face are a mess.

The good news is these Zoe dresses are literally works of art so if there’s anything that can make you pretty it’s going to be one of them. I’m so excited!”

“...thanks, Wendy….”

Wendy smiles cheerfully and says, “No offense!” and she pulls you (by your clothing, this time, not wanting to experience it for a second time) towards a section of the floor.

It seems...emptier, than the last mall you were at. That one was so full of stuff that it was hard to move around if you weren’t on the big walkway, but this store is so much less cluttered.

It feels a lot more upscale. There are also a lot more employees.

You guess rich people demand more attention than poors.

“So, since you’re braindead and don’t know anything, we’re going to find me a nice dress first and then you can see the sort of styles and whatever that exist. Then I’ll begin my greatest trial and try to coach you through your own. Kay?”

“But I know what I want!”

“Really.”

She, clearly, does not believe you.

“Yes. A little black dress!”

Wendy just looks...confused. Dazed? “Where did you even learn that word?”

“I read it in a magazine!”

You feel proud, but you’re not sure why.

Wendy rubs her face with both hands before...laughing?

You’re not equipped to deal with this. Mad, or angry, or disappointed or drunk Wendy yes but not laughing Wendy.

what’s going on

“This is going to be hilarious.”

Wendy steers you away from where you were heading, which seems to be dresses that are not black, and towards another section which seems to have dresses in every color from white to black and then some that seem to transcend a single definite color entirely.

Wendy looks over the racks on her tip toes (she’s not wearing heels today!) (must be her probably crazy hangover), looking for something.

She must find it, because she grabs your sleeve and leads you...somewhere.

You navigate past a few racks and displays. Oh. It’s a...counter. booth. desk.

whatever.

There’s a very pretty girl behind it, along with a register and computer screen. She doesn’t seem to be aware of you two yet.

You do walk pretty lightly.

Wendy walks up to the counter and says to her “Ciao, Imai!”

She looks up, jumping, her hair bouncing out of place. It's a pale pink.

It's nice.

“Jesus Christ, Wendy. Why do you do that every single time?”

Wendy smiles and shrugs.

“Sorry.”

She doesn’t look very sorry.

[>1/2 or 3]
>>
...Imai?... is wearing a nametag that says something (今井) (what the hell is that?) pinned to a pretty white dress, and she’s wearing a cardigan over it.

She looks at you, and to her credit she does a better job hiding her disgust than others have.

“Who’s your...friend...Wendy?”

She says flatly, “A friend.”

“Michelle, Imai. Imai, Michelle. Imai works for Zoe’s dress department.”

Well...that’s nice of her to say. And with such finality.

Maybe she isn’t such a huge bitch.

Imai seems suspicious of Wendy’s answer but continues. She says, “What brings you in, Wendy?”

She replies, “Payday! I’m here for one or two and Michelle wants a little black dress an-”

Imai brings her hand quickly to her mouth, but noise still escapes.

She doubles over in pain trying to keep herself together. It takes her a few seconds to regain composure.

Wendy thinks this is funny and is smiling.

You don’t.

“I am so sorry. That was very unprofessional but…”

She laughs and tries to swallow it down.

Wendy says, “That’s enough, Imai.”

“I am truly sorry. I thought that was a joke. What are your measurements Michelle?”

You cough awkwardly, looking to the side.

>[2/3]
>>
>>33975038

Imai makes what you assume is a “I thought we were friends,” face at Wendy and smiles with a dead, hollow look in her eyes.

“Come here Michelle, please. Behind the desk.”

You walk over, nervously, behind the counter and stand rigidly.

Imai points at something at the ground and you follow her finger. Some sort of long rectangle on the floor?

“Start here, walk between the lines to the center please,” she says as she swivels the computer monitor(?) towards you.

You step over the black line and into the square and wait.

“Arms up, please.”

O-okay, she’s going to actually measure you. With her hands. You try to stand fast as she walks towards you with a tape measure.

There’s a lot of twitching on your behalf but Imai seems to be decent at her job and the amount of contact and time taken are both minimized. It only takes a minute or two of Imai telling you to breathe in, breathe out, arms up, and arms down.

She announces to you, “Congratulations. You are basically average is almost every way. Although you weigh less than I would have thought for your build and height, and your tread is unusual as well…”

Imai’s forehead pulls down as she considers something in the confines of her own mind as she looks at Wendy.

Wendy meets her gaze with a hard look. If Imai comes to any conclusions she keeps them to herself.

She smiles and says, “This way. So, what sort of little black dress do you want? Fabric, length, cut…”

“C-cut? Fabric? Wendy what do these words mean?”

You might’ve (definitely) said those all a little too quickly in a pitch entirely too high. You squeeze your hands together to try to control the anxiety.

“I just want a cocktail dress since apparently every girl is supposed to have one…”

Why do you feel so helpless all the time. Yesterday you executed two teenagers and murdered a handful of their guards and you felt totally fine.

What’s wrong with you, Michelle?
Wendy says, “Just fucking relax, Michelle. Jesus. Look, here’s what I’ll do. I’m going to run my hand from my hip to my ankle. When you see a length you right say when. Okay?”

You nod.

Wendy turns in place, showing herself in profile towards you and puts the blade of her hand against her hip and begins slowly moving it down her leg, bending at the waist as she dips lower.

could we maybe get a little bit high tech so the dress can switch and alter itself from thigh-knee length when we want it to?
>>
>>33977180
Costs extra.

My solution was Michelle panicking and settling on somewhere in between the thigh and knee.
>>
>>33977250
>somewhere in between the thigh and knee.
sounds good to me (knee length anon)
>>
>>33977288
You are in the ~future~, though, so if you want "non-standard features," Michelle is free to request them.

Or try to, anyways.

Wendy’s hand slowly slides down her thigh and you raise your hand to chest level before quickly bringing it back down as you realize what you’ve done. Wendy ignores you and keeps moving her hand down and you say when when she reaches knee level.

“I think. Maybe. I don’t know.”

“Executive decision, you’re going to get something in between. Knee length would probably make you look like a kid (which you still are, but we pretend you’re not), thigh length like a disgusting, cheap student and/or hooker. Mid length is probably fine. Probably. I don’t know...you’re pretty white and not in the pretty, milky way. More like in the gross continental way, you know?

Anyways, thank you for making that only mildly discomforting instead of your usual. I would ask if you know what fabric means but it’s not like you’d know what chiffon is, let alone how chiffon is different from satin different from silk different from cotton so whatever.

Imai can you just find her some fabric samples. I so don’t want to try to explain this.”

She nods and reaches under the counter into, presumably, some sort of shelf or drawer because she sets a small box on the counter and pulls the lid off, revealing a handful of black squares.

“These are some samples of most of the fabrics that are used in the dress you’d like.”

She takes them out of the box and lays them out in a row and points at one at a time, “Silk, cotton, chiffon, satin, and charmeuse.”

You rub each piece of fabric between your hands and along your lower arm and back of hand as Imai explains the differences between them.

They all feel so good.

Maybe Wendy is right about shopping being fun.

“So, is there one or two in particular you like?”

>Yes, ….

Silk and Satin

I have no fucking idea what fabric makes a good dress
>>
>>33978118
>satin

not choosing this for fetish reasons... nope, not at all.
>>
>>33978239
Between you and me, the option to >Can you explain that one to me again... would lead to me copypasting in a description of the fabric from wikipedia/distillation of my own knowledge

I try to make an educational, as well as fun, environment.
>>
>>33978239
satin and silk are awesome and feel ridiculously soft, cotton's cheaper and i know nothing about charmeuse
>>
>>33978262
Oh I know about the general qualities of the fabrics, but I know nothing about how they make or break a dress and how they wear from the perspective of Michelle, so I just went for them because it seems like she'd go for them because they sound comfortable and fancy.
>>
Cotton isn't always cheaper, although I did skew these choices.

If you walked into a Neiman or a Nordstroms today, you'd see that most of the little black dresses are going to be rayon/synthetic fabrics and, well...

that doesn't work for me. We're in the (not that distant) future where natural fibers are de juer and more "valuable," than peasent/prole tier synthetic fibers.

Back on point, though, the feel of cotton is super dependent on its weave and threadcount. 1000 thread count Egyptian or Pima cotton bed sheets, for example, compared to a burlap potato sack.

(Truth be told, satin is actually a kind of weave that could be silk, cotton, or synthetic fibers but this isn't a fashion/fabric class so...whatevs)

tl;dr: Cotton feels as good as you want to pay for, from itchy, scratchy whitey tighties to the most insanely comfortable bedding you've ever slept in.
>>
>>33978293
I like it. "It sounds expensive and feels nice, so I bought it," feels like a spot on summation of Michelle's character so far.

“Ummm...hmm…”

You grab the silk and satin pieces in each of your hands and test them again. Hmmm..

You set them both down, having made a decision.

“I like the satin a lot.”

Wendy rolls her eyes, but doesn’t seem upset. Amused, maybe? “Pffffffft. Typical.”

“Whaaattt?”

You look at her, wounded.

“Nothing. Go find a dress already.”

Imai swings the monitor towards. “Based on your tastes and measurements, these are what I have available for you to walk out with today. Tell me when you see one you like. I’ll go in cycles of three.”

“Wait. I like that one.”

You point at the first one of the second set.

Wendy chimes in immediately, “...Really? Are you sure?”

You frown, getting defensive, “What’s wrong with it?”

“Oh, it’s fine. It’s, you know...you.

You see how the model has hips?”

“Yeah…?”

“Well...you don’t.”

Imai doesn’t say anything, but she looks sympathetic.

“Well I think it’s nice.”

“Just saying. It won’t fit you like it fits her because your hips are smaller.

Look, it’s your call, but I think you should just see some more. You didn’t make that much money to buy like three or four of these. I think you’d look better in something that was a little less cling and a little more flowing anyways.

Most of them are...optimistic for you anyways.”

“Wait. That one.”

You point at a model that...well, ok, she’s prettier than you, but she seems about your size...and “size”.

You sigh internally.

Imai brings it into focus. Wendy bends over and leans in to examine, looking between it and you several times.

Wendy speaks. “Hmm…”

Well...better than last time.

“Go try it on.”

You smile, happily.

Wendy approves of a choice you made! That you made all on your own!

Why are you so proud of this whatever it’s not important.

Imai motions for you to follow her towards the racks and she leads you towards a specific section and sorts through a line of clothing on hangers. She finds it, and pulls it off the rail, and holds it up to your neck and chest.

Imai says, “Maybe. It will probably take some tailoring.”

Wendy nods along.

Imai says, “The changing rooms are across the walkway, right over there through the white saloon doors. You can leave your clothing in the changing room until you’re done.’

You turn with the dress, excited to try it o-

“Oh. Please leave your shoes off. I couldn’t bear you wearing a Zoe dress in….those.”

She looks towards your feet, her upper lip curled back and away from her teeth.

“We’ll find you a suitable pair to go with the dress once we’re sure it’s a good fit.”

Whatever. You’re still feeling good.

You hurry into the changing room and strip quickly, kicking your shoes and pants off into a corner and yanking your shirt off.

...hmm. How do you put a dress on? And why is there a zipper on it?

Is it...over the head? You try manipulating the dress a bit.

That doesn’t seem right.

Oh...maybe you’re supposed to step into it, like a jump suit or something.

You hold the dress at calf level and carefully step one leg and then the other through it.

This seems to work. You pull it up and over your shoulders.

The back feels loo- oh! Maybe you’re supposed to…

>[1/2]
>>
>>33979837
That’s it!

You’re not as flexible as you probably would need to be, but the zipper stretches like a rubber band so you can do it one handed.

this would get really weird if you needed Wendy to zip your dress up every single time.

You’re glad you live in the future where this technology is commonplace.

You adjust the fit of the shoulder straps one last time before zipping it all the way up.

...there doesn’t seem to be a mirror in the changing room.

You sigh. You walk out, to Wendy and Imai.

To your surprise, they’re surprised.

like, really really surprised.

“Holy shit, Michelle, you don’t look disgusting for the first time in th- for the first time this week.”

that’s weird. Why did she stop herself?

“Man. No tits, no ass, still not a problem. Good job, Michelle. You’re almost a person now.”

Imai smiles, and begins checking the fit by pinching and pulling the fabric away from you.

“It’s close to being perfect. I think we can take in the stomach and bust a bit.”

Imai steps back and bows to you saying, “You look very beautiful, Michelle-san. Thank you for shopping at Zoe de Paris.”

Wendy looks happy.

You feel happy too.

good night, catch you later. check the twitter to stay up to date on thread times. peace.

Eh, you'll always have some loyal readers at least. Wendy/Michelle's kinda sisterly relationship is more than fun enough to keep me reading at least, and the work-related stuff is nice too. I like how the two of them are basically learning to get better socially by learning from the immense dysfunction of the other, while supporting each-other.
>>
>>33979941
Have you ever told what happened to Michelle's arm and head and/or why she shun physical contact?
>>
>>33980079
ok I lied I'm still here for one more question.

gut feeling thinks I did mention (hint at, maybe?) how she lost her arm but the thinking part of my brain thinks my gut feeling is wrong.

it's late, so I think my brain is right with "not yet."

Michelle being uncomfortable with physical contact is the product of a life time, but key events include being taken advantage of by field doctor inna'stan, losing her parents, distancing of her sister, life in the army in general, michelle's own mental make up. recently it's stress related to the job and stress/frustration/etc with wendy.

at a glance. lot of other stuff that I'm missing or w/e, but that's probably a good start.

>>33980123
