The Umibozu and EPD guys were still here, waiting for their Phrogs to get fully refueled. Your crew and witches were also hanging around though your Ghost Hawk was already fueled and ready to go. You could leave right now, if you wanted.

You jump in the Ghost Hawk's passenger compartment while your witches start powering up their strikers, taking one last sip of juice from their packs. Your Ghost Hawk's motors begin to power up and pretty soon, your little formation is in the air and flying north.

"You get the flight data from command?" You ask Bullseye.

"Yeah, I got it. But it's kinda a wide search area, especially over the open ocean." Bullseye frowns. "Think we should loosen up our formation? It'll help us find her faster."

You stop to think. You well within the IJN's air defense zone, so you should be safe.

Then again, when has that stopped anybody?

"Got it." Janice nods. She and Tarin peel off to the right while Jetstream and Euclid peel away to the left.

You continue to fly over the open water searching for that lost witch. Every so often, you'll pass by an allied naval or air patrol, in which you trade customary handshakes over the radio and continue on your way.

"Hey, I think I got something." Bullseye quips. "Up ahead, three o' clock."

You head over to the right passenger door and stick your head out to get a better look. Sure enough, you see what looks to be a single witch flying low to the water. Your training manages to identify the silhouette of her strikers as a set of F-18s. That made her Navy or Marines. While your duty transcended petty things like inter-service rivalry, you were still an Air Force crew, and you had traditions to uphold.

"Hail her." You tell Bullseye. "Hoskins, Rex, get on the guns. She's most likely friendly but let's be sure. Red, get ready to put up a shield, if need be."

"Aye aye." Red salutes, while Hoskins and Rex wordlessly man the mounted miniguns.

The Ghost Hawk turns to intercept the witch.It was a simple enough affair, considering how slow she was going. Bullseye keys his radio to a standard naval frequency.

"Unidentified Witch, this is Recovery One. You are currently in Japanese airspace. Slow to cruising speed, lower your weapon, and allow us to properly ID you."

"Hey you guys were the ones sent to help me out? That's cool because I've been flying out here for like HOURS or something and I think I'm just flying circles or maybe- OH MY GOD do you think we flew into the Bermuda Triangle or something?!"

You see Rex's posture stiffen, though you ignore it for now and decide to take control of the conversation.

"Unidentified Witch." You announce. "This is Captain Pierce, US Air Force. Who am I speaking to?"

it didn't bother me at all with Young spawn but that was with Mav and it kind of showed it. When Frank POV told us the relationship kind of came out of random probably due to us not hanging out with Jess other then her jumping out and surprising us so that piece of character development was kind of glossed over.
