You're Commander Dominic O'Hara, EFSF, and the last few days have been surprisingly calm. An unusual point, however, was when your superiors and patrons in the Admiralty sent a psychologist to talk to your team, as well as to examine the fitness of the Albion's crew before it returned to space.

She was a young woman, maybe somewhere around you and the sisters in age, with shoulder-length blonde hair and a strange air of familiarity about her. After collecting a few psych evals from the various section chiefs aboard the ship, she made it a special point to interview the officers, pilots, and any important members of the crew. First she met with Nina Purpleton for nearly a full hour, during which you felt a wide range of emotions on full display. Then she began to interview your team: Karen and Reiko took all of ten minutes each, and you didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Haman and Audrey both went in fairly anxious, but after around a half hour each they both left seemingly much calmer. Rossweisse went in completely relaxed, but the twenty minutes or so she spent in the room seemed to upset the psychologist a little.

The sisters seemed to switch back and forth for a while, and by the time they came out after around a half hour the three were smiling.

“You're up, Dom,” Catrina told you. The psychologist waved you into her temporary office and had you sit across the table from her.

“So,” she began, “I think you realize why you're here, Commander O'Hara. Don't you?”
>Yes (write-in)

Standard psychological screening and checking for PTSD after a highly-stressful operation?
>>
>>34188252
Yeah, this works out the gate.
>>
>>34188132
>Not really (write-in)
I suppose it is proper protocol to include a psychological evaluation to coincide with the physical fitness check, especially after that mission. The loss of Lt. Bate might've caused a shift in morale among the Albion crew, among other things.
>>
>>34188416
And Gato's death might've hit Uraki and Nina. Well, Nina especially.
>>
>>34188132
>Not really (write-in)
"Not entirely sure, whilst logically it's routine psychological screening after a combat mission, on the other hand I'm imagining horrible conspiracies ensuring that you keep Newtypes heavily monitored and in check."

So this is Sayla right? Blonde Shoulder length hair, same age as us, familiar (Char), and she's made the others feel relaxed (Newtypeism), except for Rosse (icky Cyber-newtype bleed effect)
>>
Is that Sayla as the psychologist?

Don't forget to ask the name.
>>
>>34188132
You still remember your answer. “I don't know. We just came off a high-stress operation, so I figure you're here to screen the crew just to be sure.”

“See,” she replied, smiling. “You were on the right track, at least. You should give yourself more credit, Commander.”

You got the feeling there was something more she wasn't allowed to share, but you kept it to yourself.

“The loss of Lieutenant Bate may have also had an effect on morale, of course,” you added.

“That was a concern,” the psychologist admitted. “But that isn't why you in particular are here.”

“Then why am I here?”

“To make sure there are no 'unexpected issues', as the Admiral would call them,” she explained, doing a particularly poor impression of Admiral Kowen. “So I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you a few questions which may seem... personal. I won't be taking any notes, so nothing we say here will ever leave this room. Is that okay?”

You remember shaking your head at her. “So even if you're not going to repeat everything I say, I take it this means you really are here to keep tabs on us?"

She nodded wearily. "Yes, those were my orders. I have a personal interest in you, however, which is why I agreed to this whole business."

"Fair enough," you remember mumbling.

"Very well. First of all, I've heard some rumors that suggest that you and Miss Noin may have slept together in the last few days. Can you account for those rumors?"
>They're not rumors. I slept with her (write-in)

>>
>>34188749
Uh I didn't think we had slept with Haman yet? or is this to decide if we have or not? If that's the case;

>They're just rumors (write-in)
>Other
"We had been considering it during the operation, but she feels somewhat guilty over the death of the GP02 pilot, and as such I wouldn't consider doing such a thing whilst her emotions aren't under control."

Well either way I'd imagine we'd be fairly open about it, if we had or not.
>>
>>34188749
>They're just rumors (write-in)
>They're just that rumors.
>>
>>34188896
She only kissed Dom once, after the whole deal with her breaking Gato's morale.

>>34188899
Yeah, same here. I thought Dom only had sex with the sisters so far.
>>
>>34188899
This is where you decide.

There were a few things that could happen between the 23rd and the 31st, but not really enough to make a thread. So this is how I'm handling those few "loose ends".
>>
>>34188970
>Of course we did!

I want that smut dude....
>>
>>34188749
>They're just rumors (write-in)
"Just in the past few days? Because I've been hearing those rumors for about as long as she's been on the team. I'm the sole male member of a group otherwise composed entirely of attractive women. There are rumors about me sleeping with any and all of them. Noin and I have not yet entered into that sort of relationship, though we have discussed it and likely will at some point."

“It's come up,” you admitted, “but no, not yet. Especially not since she's been feeling guilty over the death of the GP-02's pilot, and her emotions are still out of whack. Though we do have this thing we call “Dominic Cuddles Time”, which is a whole thing. Newtype bonding can be a strange and confusing process.”

“I take it having organized group cuddle sessions with my combat team made entirely up of young women is significant?”

“It's probably fine,” she told you. “Everyone deals with stress in different ways. Some withdraw, some grow violent and agitated, others cause harm to themselves: apparently you get 'cuddly'. Which isn't what I'd expect from someone with such a fierce-sounding nickname, but it seems much better than most cases.”

“I'll take that as a compliment,” you remember replying.

She shook her head. “I'm a little concerned that she's come to expect something you haven't been giving her, but your reasons for that are your own. I'm unfortunately not in the business of relationship counseling, so I won't continue to pry.”

You nodded at her. “Good.”

The psychologist continued. “I know I said I wouldn't pry, but I've also come to suspect that you and Ensign Rossweisse have grown close recently. Exactly how close have you gotten? Feel free not to answer, if you wish.”

“I... really wish I could say,” you remember telling her. “I know Rosse's been opening up, bit by bit, and I think it's been good for her. She really seems to benefit from having a few newtypes around, as well as a small number of people she works with every day.”

“I sense a 'but' coming on,” the psychologist interjected.

“... but I just don't know what happened,” you admitted. “There was a night there where I honestly don't remember if I slept with her or not.”

The psychologist shook her head. “How can you not remember?” she asked incredulously.

“I remember we were together, and the mood was right, and Lieutenant Marseille gave us some space because she kind of knew what was going on...” you recounted. “And then there was this whole thing where we were naked and glowing, and I know it wasn't our physical bodies. So while it got pretty intense, we woke up the next morning and there was no evidence we'd actually done any of it.”

“No evidence?”

“Exactly. It sounds insane, right?”

“That's a Newtype for you, I suppose,” she admitted. “You may want to keep track of that sort of thing in the future, though. A bond that close strikes me as incredibly rare, and our 'experts' still aren't sure what the possible side effects might be.”

“Right,” you replied, somewhat relieved. “I'll be sure to pay more careful attention to strange 'events' like that.”

“Speaking of experts, how have things been with Miss Purpleton since you executed Anavel Gato? I take it she was upset?”

"She was pretty bad at first, but I think hearing Gato's apology, and her having a shoulder to cry on in Kou has helped her deal with it. I can only hope she opens up a bit more and doesn't try to hide in her work."
>>
>>34189914
There is no "wrong answer". As I've explained, this is merely clearing up a few things that would have come up between Gato's death and returning to space.
>>

I'll second this.

>>34189819
>>She was, but she's been handling it (write in)
I'm okay with most anything not stupid as long as we made sure to give her the message from Gato.
>>
>>34189914
She's pretty hot. She's also a legitimate heir to Zeon.

King also pretty much said this is just a method to recount the events between the 23rd and the 31st, because playing through those days would be somewhat tedious because no major plot would be happening.
>>
>>34189926
Yeah, seconding this.

Maybe throw in how our team's been there for her as much as possible?
>>
>>34189819
>She was, but she's been handling it (write in)
"She's doing better than I expected. I think that between my relaying Gato's last words and Kou being there for her it's made the situation easier for her to cope with. We're trying to keep her interacting with the rest of the crew and not just retreating into her work, too. She's clearly still upset about it, but I think she'll recover, given time."
>>
>>34189819
>She was, but she's been handling it (write in)
"She might've buried herself in work to cope with it. And Ensign Uraki has provided some support in his own way. For now, I think I should maintain some distance from her to lessen any association regarding Gato's death."
>>
>>34189819

>She's handling it
"She still held feelings for him. I could tell as I destroyed the GP-02 and it's Nuclear Weapon. She may have spent a fair bit of time thinking about how it might have turned out differently if X, Y or Z happened, But She has accepted that He chose his death, Not for Zeon, Not for the War, but because his Ideals. I hear that Ensign Urosaki is providing her with some much needed support."
"And No. I have not slept with her, or even entertained the Idea...
My team is difficult enough without adding to it...

>>34190142
Nah, the next question is how do we feel about killing Gato.
>>
>>34190167
It might still be brought up at some point. And I'm convinced that most of the players here already have a handle on how Dom would feel about taking Gato's life, judging from the last thread.
>>
>>34189819
"She was," you told her. "I could tell she still had feelings for Gato, even as I shot him. But I think that after I told her what happened, and his last message to her, she'll probably be okay. After all, she still has her work to distract her, and Ensign Uraki's shoulder to lean on if she needs it."

"You're probably right," the psychologist agreed. "But you know I have to ask, have you..."

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman," you told her flat-out. The psychologist simply laughed.

"Alright. Romeo. I believe you. But in case it ever comes up, I think not sleeping with her is for the best. There's still a part of her that wants to blame you as his killer, though she understands why things turned out the way they did."

"So," she finally concluded, "I think that about covers things on my end, though I wouldn't assume I would leave without being asked a few questions myself."

"If you don't mind me asking," you pressed, "could you give me your opinion on how my team is handling the stress? Is there anything you feel I should be concerned about?"

Sayla shook her head at you. "I don't think so, though you may want to continue keeping Lieutenant Monsha away from Ensign Uraki. I think the former has given up on ever besting you at anything, and decided that Uraki might make a better target."

"I'll handle it," you told her. "Thanks."

That was two days ago. Today, your team was sent for a loop by a declaration of war by Admiral Aguille Delaz and his fleet. Haman seems especially unsettled, as her capture was mentioned explicitly as an example of "Federation oppression". Karen left the room almost immediately to contact Admiral Kowen with Captain Synapse, and Audrey and the Sisters have already started to debate where Delaz was most likely to strike first.

Hollinger and Blitzen are listening to Audrey and Catrina arguing over the effectiveness of striking military and civilian targets, while Rossweisse has gone back to reading a book she seemed interested in before the announcement from Delaz came on. You think it's Moby Dick.

How about preventing Delaz from consolidating any possible assets that he might use? Namely, factions that might still be in the fence about partaking in his declaration of war?

You decide to approach Haman, who seems thoroughly uncomfortable at the thought that she's currently being used as justification for a new continuation of the War. As your intention to speak with her becomes clear, she sighs and looks down at the floor.

“You going to be okay?” you ask her quietly. “I'm guessing you didn't expect leaving Axis with me to lead to this.”

Haman nods. “I'll be fine. I'm just a little surprised... although I'm not sure why, really. I always guessed Bernini was a scumbag based on what my father said about him.”

“You have a history, right?”

“If I had remained at Axis,” the young Newtype explains, “Bernini's pro-war faction would have ended up fighting against me to take control over the asteroid. I thought I'd left that bullshit behind, but it seems even now he can't help but drag me into his stupidity.”

“You think he's directly involved?” you ask her. “Possibly aiding the Delaz fleet somehow?”

“I was considering the possibility myself before we met,” she admits with a sigh, “and so far as Axis is concerned I was a 'moderate'. I'd be very surprised if Bernini didn't use some of Axis' resources to aid the Delaz fleet in lashing out at anyone who he feels has slighted him or the Principality remnants... whether they're military or civilians.”

“Axis had newtype weapons and mobile armors,” you recall.

Haman shrugs. “At that point of the discussion, things get less certain. He probably knows I'm staying here of my own accord, and if Char's truly defected it's probably left him with a deep distrust of Newtypes. He'd probably try and find some way to enforce loyalty... the Flanagan institute was working on such measures, though my father refused to tell me what that entailed.”

“Too sensitive?”

“His exact words were a “mockery of nature” and “an affront to human dignity”.”

"Then it seems safe to say he's coming," you conclude, "but we can't know with what or where."

"That's the size of it."

"Then we'll just have to prepare as best we can, and beat him when he shows his hand," you tell her. "Simple. And Haman?"

"Dom?"

"It's not your fault," you reassure her. "Don't take it out on yourself. We had no way to know that things would play out this way. We Newtypes may be more sensitive, but we can't see the future: the best we can do is the best we can do. So ask yourself, was coming with us the best choice you could have made? Are you still happy that you met us?"

"It was, and I am," she replies immediately, followed by a quick hug. "Thank you, Dominic. I needed to hear that."

"I know," you reply. "Shall we join the others?"

When you approach the ongoing discussion, Audrey turns to you.

"So where do you think he's going to strike? I think he's going to try and attack the Naval review, but Carya and Catrina think it's going to be the capital at Dakar."

Rossweisses closes her book and looks at you strangely, as if suddenly curious as to what you were going to say.
>What are your current thoughts on the situation? Or do you have any?
>>
>>34191974
Care to explain why they think that?

My guess is that they would've hit the Naval Review if they still had the nuke. Bomb them, and use your until-then smaller fleet to pick off the remaining survivors.
Now without Gato, the 02 and the nuke, they'll have to change that plan and hit somewhere no one is expecting them. So Dakar seem likely.
>>
>>34191974
>"Probably the navel review. If they were able to get GP02 into space like they wanted, that nuke would do some very serious damage to the fleet. Plus isn't the review at Solomon? That's rather significant for Zeon"
>>
>>34191974
>What are your current thoughts on the situation? Or do you have any?
I certainly hope we received a proper report from Defrah, otherwise this write-in is gonna look stupid.

"Regardless of where they may strike, we already blunted their offensive output with the GP-02 gone. And according to Defrah, the Delaz fleet might not be as unified or consolidated as Delaz is implying in his speech. It seems to me that's he's banking more on some other Zeon remnants forced into hiding to reveal themselves and put them into play."

"If we sap their support base further, it'll narrow down the possible targets they'll be able to engage successfully. Facing the assembled fleet at the Naval Review might be unthinkable by then, unless they have another Ace in their sleeve."
>>
>>34192090
So no colony drop than?
>>
>>34191974

"Well, we managed to stop their plans for the Nuke, and If Axis is providing support to Delaz, they are likely to assault an orbital target... Assaulting the Navel Review at Solomon might provide a kind of Ironic symbolism; then again, with the Fleet assembled there, he would need an overwhelming number of ships... I would lean more towards less defended targets, or places where they can obtain more resources and or advanced weapons... Maybe one of Anaheims orbital installations?
>>
>>34192154
>Zeon: "Oh comeon just because we dropped a colony or two before DOESNT mean we will drop another one! What do you take is for, one trick ponies?"
>>
>>34192154
I don't think so, not unless they decide to grab some other colony and lob it at Dakar while every vessel the Federation has is at the Naval Review.

And if we're going with Haman's guess that the current Axis leader has a recent hateboner for Newtypes, they'd most likely drop the one holding the Flannigan Institute.
But that's just me being utterly paranoid.
>>
>>34192263
Nah Flannigan is pretty much the only way he'd be able to enslave them. He's a racist extremist but he knows the power and usefulness of Newtypes.
>>
Maybe they'll assault Luna 2 to steal the Nuclear Arsenal stored there then use those Nukes against key targets...
>>
>>34192235
No, two colonize and one Axis.
>>
>>34192305
A means for controlling Newtypes produced by the Flannigan Institute? Oh boy, I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself by anticipating Monoeye Gundam being involved in this quest.
>>
>>34192305
Guess that's possible too, though considering how every Newtype either betrayed him or fights against him, he might as well go along with hitting it just so he denies the Feds any chance on getting more Newtypes to fight against him.

Though if they're going to attack, they need to make a symbolic move. Not just attack willy-nilly, they need to hit hard, get results, and most importantly, make a statement. They're looking for something that has symbolic value to the Feds, but that isn't too protected at the moment so they don't lose too much people in the process.

So, if not Flannigan, then what? The one where Char's at?
>>
>>34192450
The Republic of Zeon?
>>
>>34191974
"Let's look at it like this," you tell them. "Why would they attack either target, and with what?"

"They'd hit the Naval review, because there's a large number of ships that will be in a relatively tight formation," Audrey explains.

"But that'd require a large fleet, or some sort of superweapon in lieu of the nukes they DON'T have," Catrina adds. "Attacking Dakar would only take one colony, and that could be hijacked during this new round of the Reclamation plan. To get a hold of nukes they'd do what? Attack Luna II?"

"Either way," you interrupt, "they'll need some sort of force multiplier. If Defrah's reports are accurate, they're relying on pirate fleets that may or may not really support Delaz's ambitions. Their naval 'fleet' itself is only a threat insofar as they can use it to get whatever they're really after, or else mop up after a larger operation."

Haman nods in agreement. "I can't help but think that if Axis had a hand in it, one of Bernini's terms would be to strike at the Republic."

Audrey cocks her head, and the sisters frown. "Of course," Carya adds. "To the supporters of the former Principality, the Republic of Zeon must seem like the ultimate traitors."

"So we have three equally likely targets, but no certainty of how the Delaz fleet will assault them," you conclude. "Well, I suppose that's something."

No, they may consider the Republic to be traitors but attacking them would prevent recruiting sympathizers. It would cost them too much to be seen as just as much an enemy to the their own people as the Federation is. So far they've managed to get most people to forget that they killed three billion people in just the first week of the war. If they attack the Republic people will start to remember. Which could make recruiting Cima, if we can do it, incredibly useful. She would be great for propaganda videos condemning the actions of the Principality and calling for the mistakes of the past to not be repeated.

True enough.

Though they will go after Char eventually, maybe even get Cima to do it so that their hands remain clean - after all, it wasn't Zeon who attacked the Republic, but some pirates. But that's just wild guessing at this moment.

What about A Baoa Qu? It both has symbolic meaning as the place Zeon signed the peace treaty, where Delaz lost the battle, and can work as something to drop.
>>
>>34192556
>Let's face it, there's no reason not to ask her.
"Rossweise, what do you think?" you ask the quiet young woman.

In response she looks at you as if she's confused that you're somehow missing something she can see plainly: as if the two of you are staring at a picture of a cat and you've just told her it's a fire truck.

"They're deluded," she explains to you quietly.

"Well yeah," Haman reminds her, "they're Zeon loyal... oh. OH." She frowns as she realizes mid-sentence what her friend meant.

"That's right," Catrina muses. "We've been approaching it logically, but to be a Principality loyalist at this point you'd either have to be forced into it like Catherine or completely delusional. They're in their own little fucking world, aren't they?"

"Why choose," you mutter. "If you can acquire the means for one attack, why not just attack multiple targets while you're at it?"

"Well, shit," Audrey swears.

Possibly. But based on this line upthread...

... I'm inclined to believe that she got into Monsha's head enough that he spilled a lot of details on his life unknowingly. So Sayla may have been in control of him enough to derail his train of thought.

The first one was initiated without due authorization, through means that would burn our team down the line, and I distinctly recall that the info it contained may also cross into what our "dead-but-now-a-hobo-scientist" was investigating undercover.

As for the second one, Benini can still justifiably render plausible deniability on his involvement with Delaz, if we present a weak case.
Federation admirals they may be, but politicking would still be a factor on convincing them with this info.

"We'll cover the hiring of former Zeon scientists by AE, the GP-02 theft, the attack on La Vie en Rose, the Cima fleet, and Orville," you tell your team along the way.

"Nothing on Bernini?" Reiko asks.

"He's concerned it could draw unwanted attention towards 'Noin'," Audrey explains. Haman frowns, but says nothing.

"Carya," you add, "could you call Nina up here? I think anything involving Anaheim should be her responsibility to discuss. Especially since the memos we accessed were accessed illegally."

"I'm on it," she replies, splitting off from the group to find Nina.

As you approach the bridge, you wave your team off. "Stand by," you order them, "but leave the talking to me. I'm the ranking officer, so I'll take the lead and any repercussions."

You receive a series of salutes in response.

"I still don't believe the Delaz fleet is a serious threat," an old man on one of the many screens surrounding Captains Joshua and Synapse insists. You spot Admiral Kowen on one monitor, and you recognize Admiral Wyatt on another. The others are a mix of faces you recognize but can't attach a name to, and other, less distinguished officers who came out of the One Year War.

"Ah," Kowen interrupts the debate. "Commander O'Hara. What a pleasant surprise."

"He shouldn't be here," Wyatt replies. "I was under the impression this meeting was restricted to the Captains responding to the present crisis."

"It was," one of the men you don't recognize agrees. "But I think we should let the young man speak..."

"Welcome to officers' bullshitting hour," Karen mutters to you as you take up a spot next to her. "You want to just take my job? Say the word and it's yours."

"You look better in the uniform," you reply in a low voice. "And besides, I want no part of your job."

I certainly hope we don't start off on information sharing with this, otherwise we'll get blown off-course with the constant grilling from the Admirals regarding the procurement of this data.

"... and so I think it's in our best interests to listen to all possible points of view," the ancient Admiral finally concludes, after having droned on oblivious to your side conversation.

"Very well, sirs," you reply, taking that as your cue to speak. "First, I take it you're aware of the theft of Gundam GP-02, the "Physalis"?"

"We have been made aware, yes," one of the younger Admirals informs you.

Kowen nods at you. "We already congratulated your Captain on a job well done, but I see no reason not to extend the same congratulations to you. Quite the flashy ending too, from the look of it."

"Yes sir," you agree. "Part of that heist was orchestrated by a Zeon mole, Nick Orville. He had been working for Anaheim Electronics, and relayed sensitive information to the enemy, which assisted in their operations."

There is some murmuring among the Admirals, and a few of them order their subordinates off-screen to fetch various reports and dossiers.

"That information was only just released to the Admiralty," Kowen replies. "Part of our discussion with Captains Synapse and Joshua was to cover their report."

Karen seems grateful to have been all but excused of that responsibility, where unless you're mistaken Synapse seems a little put off.

"Have you informed them of the reports from La Vie en Rose?" you ask Kowen, to his apparent surprise.

"No," he admits, "my staff is still compiling the data."

"... what reports from Anaheim is he talking about, John?" Wyatt asks pointedly.

"You do the honors, Commander," Kowen orders with a sigh. "You were involved in both ops, after all."

"The first was a raid on the La Vie en Rose, designed to catch GP-03 before it was ready to deploy," you explain. "The Dendrobium and my team destroyed or damaged three Musai-class cruisers and a strike team of around three dozen Gelgoog marines."

There's a low whistle of appreciation from the older Admiral who was so insistent on allowing you to address the Admiralty.
(2/3)
>>
>>34194020
What?
What about during our time in the La Vie en Rose, and Nina gave us a free pass to snoop around for incriminating data? E-mails were recovered from that, but the method to acquire that still wasn't legal or at the very least not authorized by any means.
>>
>>34194112
An unofficial free pass. It was still espionage, technically.
>>
>>34194108
"While that is certainly a testament to Mister O'Hara's combat prowess," Wyatt counters testily, "I see no evidence to indicate any sort of larger plan in it."

"No?" you reply, quietly reaching out with your mind and urging Carya and Catrina to hurry the fuck up. "There's also the matter of Defrah Kar's report on her contact with the Cima Fleet, who are suspected of attempting to recover the HLV we thought at the time was carrying the GP-02."

"The pirates are wild cards, to be sure," Karen backs you up, quickly seizing on your main point. "Relying on them to recover a superweapon smacks of desperation, but also seems to set a trend."

"And what trend would that be?" Wyatt asks skeptically.

"They're focusing on superweapons," you reply. "Force-multipliers that could serve to make a large-scale attack possible, likely on multiple fronts with several objectives."

"And we are to simply believe the word of a few mobile suit pilots, when our own intelligence service can't figure out what Delaz has planned?" one of the Admirals who has until now remained silent counters.

"Not quite," you hear Nina's voice reply as she walks into the room. "I have here evidence of several Zeonic and Zimmad specialists, hired by Anaheim after the war, who may have conspired to leak data to the Delaz fleet."

"Meaning?" Wyatt asks.

"Meaning that it's not just two superweapons the Delaz fleet has tried to acquire, but THREE," Nina emphasizes. "Delaz is coming, and he's trying everything possible to seize something to strike at the Federation with."

Wow, she must be committed to getting some action out of the Admiralty if she's willing to put that project on the table. You figured she was going to keep quiet about it, to try and keep the problem in-house.

"Very well," Admiral Wyatt replies after a fifteen minute-long debate between the Admirals. "I will have the location for the Naval review on the 10th moved to low Earth orbit instead of Solomon, to pull the event well within our defensive perimeters. I will also request an expedited inquiry into possible caches of weapons that the Delaz fleet could seek to utilize, then take ant appropriate actions."

"I would suggest posting a small reaction force outside Earth's gravity well, in case of an attack," Captain Synapse tells Admiral Wyatt.

"There's no need to.."

"Admiral Wyatt," Kowen interrupts. "It's a sensible measure."

"It's also possible Delaz could be trying for a colony drop," Karen adds.

"Which we could not stop otherwise," the friendlier of the two old Admirals you've heard from admits. "I knew there was a reason we old farts kept you younger officers around. Otherwise we get too fixated, and start ignoring the most obvious of facts. It comes from being old and set in your ways."

"Fine," Wyatt concedes. "I'll have a small reactionary force positioned in a higher orbit."

The meeting is quickly adjourned, but not before the old Admiral and Kowen congratulate you again: this time for convincing Wyatt to change his plans. You gather the man's ambitions and single-minded focus make him more enemies among his peers than allies.

"We're almost to Von Braun," Synapse tells you and Karen as you move to rejoin your team. "Your team will have one day shore leave in the city while repairs and refueling are performed. We'll also be taking on parts for upgrading the Zephyranthes for space combat, so do try and keep out of that hangar if you can avoid it."

"Well then, how about dinner?"

"With both of us?" Haman looks over at Rossweisse, who shrugs noncommittally. "I guess..."

"It's only fair," you remind her. "It's not like we have loads of time. If we did, I'd insist on taking you out separately. But I'd like to make sure we make the most of it."

"I understand," Haman finally replies. "I suppose it really wouldn't be fair to monopolize your time like that."

"Then it's a date," you tell them both.

>That's a wrap for today. I'm out of gas, and I need to pack up my flat later this morning.

The last of the business from the GP-02 incident is tied off. Now the stage is set for Operation Stardust itself, and you have a date with two young Newtype women. Which of those will kill you first?

Thanks for playing. Hope you enjoyed it, and I look forward to my eventual return.

I'm fine with Italians from Shangri-La so long as the crust is made by Hebrews.

Thanks for running, Hearts. See you next time.

Oh dear we might be having some trouble.

Haman hopefully.

Thanks for Running KoH, enjoyed it as I always have. Shame I was so late to this one.

Archive is up.

So here's the deal: I'll be heading back to the states for about a month, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to run. It probably won't be at the same time, if I run at all during those weeks.

All I can say at this point is that I WILL finally get a chance to finish writing the promised smut, and that I'll keep the Twitter updated on when I'll be able to resume running.

I'll hang around for a bit to answer any questions.

Was one of the admirals present in that meeting Jamatov (and Bask Om)?
>>
>>34195817
That's fine, man. This is a good quest, I don't think anyone will particularly mind a hiatus. Have fun.
>>
>>34195817
Rossweisse and Catherine is what I ilke.
Thank you for the smut and thread and a safe journey.
>>
>>34195817

Thats fun.

How fucked are we, taking the two on a date.
>>
>>34195926
Bask Om would not have been there, as he was a Captain whose status with Titans translated to two ranks of superiority when dealing with regular forces. Jamitov was not there either.

Dominic would not have recognized them at this point anyway.
>>
>>34196071
If you're unfortunate or inept? Very. If you're lucky and thoughtful? Very.
>>
>>34196071
Not that it would have mattered for Dom, I was just curious. Thanks!
>>
>>34196071
So is Bright also in the same military ranking totem-pole as them too? Which I guess means he wasn't among those assembled at that meeting either?
>>
>>34196142
No one cares about Bright right now. He was the brevet captain of a now-decommissioned ship. He won't be important until Gryps.
>>
>>34196142
>meeting of the Admiralty
>Bright is a Captain who's currently irrelevant to anything
Yeah, no. He wasn't there.
>>
Alright, I'm out.

Anything else that gets posted before the thread dies, I'll look over in the archives later.

Alright, thanks for answering. Just having my curiosity sated is all.
I was in the dark as to what situation the OYW veterans would be in at this juncture, since there was a gap between Stardust and then Bright getting roughed up by Titans officers by Zeta, and I only got those series (and it's been a while) for both to work it out in my head.

I'm guessing one of the side materials might be relevant to this, but I'm rather unsure as to which ones I'll have to sift through. In which case, there's only unreliable wikis to supplement any further knowledge.
Apologies if the question sounded dumb.
