The dark pipe surrounds you. Full of rust so fine it is practically liquid, it encloses you in a claustrophobic world of dust and metal walls. You squeeze your way along with your somewhat collapsible form. Tentacles push you along, squirming and writhing. At tight turns you find that strange organisms' spear gets caught. It irritates you to no end.

You are far below the surface of Praetorus Wharf. Your comrades somewhere above. They have no idea where you are or what you are doing. There is too much interference on your comm to get in touch.

As always, when ever you are seriously damaged, the edges of your mind seem to give way to darkness.

You blink then slam your head into the side of the piping. Static swims across your vision for a moment then clears.

A way up had to be found. No time for old wounds.

The echoes caused by your banging gives you an idea. Tapping the spear against the pipe you let the sounds paint a picture for you.

The spear taps off the walls with a steady rhythm. Vibration move around you, enfolding you in a three dimensional world of varying pitches. Most of the area surrounding you is surrounded by steel but in places you feel the vibrations of pumps and turbines.

You detect a large cavity a dozen meters behind and slightly above you.

Creeping back you move just below the cavity and start to twist. Your bladed fins scratch the pipe as you twist until a nice jagged groove is cut then you peal it away with your teeth.

Chomping through several smaller pipes and cables you find yourself in a room with a large computer tower in the center and a pair of doors leading out. It has a red color of oxidized metal and the computer hums quietly.

Emerging from the pip rust dust sloughs off you like sand.

Hissing like a boiler you activate your comm.

"Is anyone there? Can you hear me?"

Static burst through at first. Then:

"...ou Krack...barel..."

Not close enough it seems.

You grumble and growl, slithering about the room in pent up rage.

Remembering the locker you heft it up from behind you. The rust encrusted box looks alright, if filthy.

You place the locker in front of you and examine it. Barely as long as you are wide, it was as thick as your leg. Rubbing some grime off you find a Decepticon insignia on the front.

You pop the locker open and it does so with a squeal and you find most of it is padding.

Your optics narrow.

In the center is a vial with a crystal of red energon inside.

You had seen red energon before. They had samples in the bigger precincts. Never had you seen it in action before.

You almost laugh. Lucky day.

Using one of the nano-repair tubes you let the nanobots move across and into your hull, repairing damage as they go.

The area is silent except for the faint whir and hum of machinery.

You examine the computer tower. Nearly twice your robot modes' height it has a smooth outer shell and is almost featureless except for a keyboard jutting from one side.

Your best guess is that it either controls the pumps around here or the structure of the surrounding area.

Creeping up to the keyboard you raise yourself a little with your tentacles. The keyboard looks simple enough but the lack of a screen or anything to identify what it does throws you off.

You mentally shrug. Wouldn't hurt to see if you can make it do something.

You begin tapping away on it with the tips of your tentacles. Lights flash along the tower and you hear several loud whirs and whooshes, gears shift and levers click.

You hear a loud bang and a few clicks. Several seconds later they are followed by a massive crash coming from one of the exits.

Moving to look you see the ceiling has caved in and a number of pipes are pouring rust dust into the room. The room has two levels in it. The level your on, slowly being filled with rust, has a door on the side opposite of you.

A metal stairway leads up to the second level that consists of a walkway that wraps around the room and leads to a door directly above you.

The sound of grinding machinery continues to echo throughout the area.

You decide to check out the other exit and crawl through the computer room.

Edging around the hole you tore in the floor and peeking through the door you see a large room with several vats set in the floor. Railing circles the vats and you see they are full of some kind of slurry made of rust and something else.

Unfortunately your chemical testers had long since gone to disrepair.

On the opposite side of the room you see another door. Like all the rooms you had entered in this area the place is lit by soft white lights.

A burst of static comes from your comm. You grumble again.

The door takes you to a long walkway over pipes of various sizes. The walkway branches off into three other paths. Two lead to doors and the third continues for some distance before entering what looks like a large room.

Crawling along you hear a low humming and... something else.

You hear a faint, repetitive banging that seems to come and go. Turning around and scanning the area shows you nothing though. You can not tell where it comes from.

Moving forward across old metal paneling, you pass under dull white lights spaced far enough apart that you cross small patches of darkness. Your tentacles grasp the railing and undulate beneath you.

As you approach the room it appears to be cavernous and almost completely dark. The far wall is beyond your sight but the wall to your left sports a metal walkway with stairs rising from a floor you can't see. An open door pours faint daylight out onto the walkway.

A small piece of metal lands on the ground next to you.

Spinning around there stand a figure standing in the darkness between lights. It leans forward, just enough that you can see that its face is hidden below a hood. It holds a finger up to its face and motions for you to follow it down one of the side paths.

"Who's there?" You hiss lightly.

The figure hisses back, though they do it around a finger held urgently in front of their face.

Behind you, down in the darkness, you hear banging.

Deciding to follow the figure you crawl along the walkway. He turns down the right path and runs quietly ahead. You rush to keep up but trying to stay quiet at the same time slows you down.

Exiting the walkways you pass through a small room dominated by a large pipe going from the ceiling to the floor. The next room is another dark one, the right side a large pane of glass that shows dark rust on the other side.

The figure stands in the center of the room. Their hull is hidden under folds of some fabric.

Behind you you hear more banging and the sound of footsteps.

You press yourself up next tot he door, an audio receptor on the noise coming from outside and an optic on the shrouded figure standing in the middle of the room. They still have not moved.

You glare at them as the footsteps get closer. They sound heavy, and it sounds like something heavy is being dragged along behind them. It bangs off the railing as it approaches.

A moment later the steps reach the room the two of you are in and an ugly head pokes through the door. A dented face with a demented grin looks at the shrouded figure, who then nods towards you.

The ugly newcomer sneers at you.

"Fresh scraps." He says, then steps through the doorway revealing a hulking frame and a large hammer held in one hand.

Glaring back at your would be ambushers you then turn away and rush back the way you were going. Reaching the cavernous room you jump down several flights of stairs and into the darkness below.

When you land you make out the silhouettes of a number of other Cybertronians all hiding down in the darkness but you pay them no attention as they recoil from you.

Dashing towards the stairway that spirals up towards daylight you hear two sounds.

The first is another burst of static from your comm, followed by Gyros' voice.

"...o you have a slaggin' commlink if you never use the thing you rust brained..." ...and it kind of goes on like that.

The second thing you hear is the sound of the pair of ambushers reaching the end of the walkway you just left and yelling.

Hauling your hull up some steps you activate your comm with a tentacle not occupied with climbing or carrying the Decepticon locker.

"Gyro," You say before a -zzap- brings you up and out the door at the top of the stairs. "Turn the volume down, this thing is too close to my audio receptors for your gripping."

"Kracken you tin-plated jerk where are you?" She asks.

Looking around you find yourself in an alley between some warehouses. The sky is a bright orange and the setting sun castes a long shadow over your dilapidated surroundings.

"Don't know, give me a second."

"You don't know?!"

"Do I ever?"

You hear ranting from the other side of the comm but ignore it as you move to one end of the alley. You come across a dusty road lined with warehouses. One is marked XX-63. You relay this to Gyro.

"XX-93." She repeats, a little calmer than before. "Well the good news is that's pretty close to us. We're over near XXII-22, there's a sky tower here that Copper and Quarry are trying to break into."

"What's in the sky tower?" You ask while scoping out the area for ways to lose your pursuers.

"Well it's still locked, though the door is pretty messed up, so they figure there might still be some supplies in there."

You nod. There was not much to use out here, you could get on top of a warehouse or you could just run for it and loose them among the warehouses.

"Alright you guys do that while I lose some unwanted attention." You say while turning a corner.

"Yeah sure, tell me, was it you who ticked off that... thing that's running amok on the shore right now?"

"Big crab-legged bucket of bolts?"

"Yes."

"Na."

"Kracken..."

"Hey Kracken," you hear Coppers' voice cut in, "Why d'ya always run off t'have all th'fun while ah stay back an' watch the youngins'"

Behind you you hear the sound of angry hobos clamoring out of the warehouse.

Red energy arcs from your optics. The damaged ones' lens shatters completely. Your tentacles uncoil and you seem to disappear in a flash.

The vagabond with the sharpened metal weapon twitches slightly before he is launched into the air.

>Energon Reserve-168/171

The one with the baton finds his midsection wrapped in a pair of tentacles along with another and then the two are slammed into each other repeatedly. You pick the third up and spin, smashing him off the wall and ground before crashing all three together repeatedly.

You tear limbs from their battered hulls and pieces scatter like shrapnel.

>Energon Reserve-167/171

Tossing them aside you catch the first vagabond and slam him on the ground. Your mouth opens wide and the teeth inside begin rotating at absurd speeds. Sparks fly from your maw and a terrible screeching starts up again.

Then you slowly feed him, feet first, into your mouth. Slow for you at least.

His fingers claw at the ground and leave long gouges. He screams for a couple seconds before being drowned out by the sound of tearing metal.

>Energon Reserve-166/171

You roar a long, distorted roar.

Vibrating slightly you raise your tentacles then snap them down and launch yourself into the air. Your tentacles extend to the sides and the tips find nooks and crannies in the alley walls. You surge skyward and practically launch yourself up and over the road between warehouses.

>Energon Reserve-165/171

Dashing across rooftops you search out your target.

There, towards the shore, you see a large, oblong creature prying open a moored ship.
Its legs driven into the metal pier and the vessel, claws tearing into the ships' bowls and raising bits to its mouth.

You skitter across rooftops and leap across roads and alleys. Vision red. Crimson electricity arcing along your teeth and buzzing in your damaged optic.

You close in on the beast, to fast for it to notice.

Hurling your hull through the air you swing from a loading crane and fling yourself at its back. A tippity-tapping sound rings out as you skitter across its hull like an arachnid ad advance towards the front of the monster.

You hop up onto a large protrusion on its back and gaze out. you see several periscope-like devices emerging just above wear the mouth gapes wide.

One turns and sees you.

You snarl and charge.

Crashing into the periscope you bend one right over and tear another out with your teeth. Another two you yank out along with the wires connecting them.

A low wail shakes the beast and it lurches sideways, falling into the Rust Sea.

A loud splashing crash rocks your audio receptors. Fine rust engulfs you. Your tentacles scrabble to maintain your grip.

Your tentacles hook into the holes left by the periscopes, wrap another pair around the remaining sensor and ride out the turbulence. You whip one way then another, your grip constantly switching to best keep you from being sent tumbling through the depths.

Rust rushes around you.

Once the ride gets less rough you haul yourself closer then dig your tentacles into the empty sockets.

Another roar rumbles in your gullet.

You hook your tentacles back through the sockets and pull yourself out. The rust is slowing you down but only marginally.

You crawl across the beast too fast for the harpoons firing at where it feels you on its hull. You even manage to tear one out.

Then your sensors detect the rapidly oncoming wall of the shore line. The beast was trying to crush you.

The energy and matter roiling in your gullet threatens to spill out, burn you from within, explode.

You allow none of it.

As the plasma surges you focus it and force it to erupt as a brilliant red beam. It lances through the beasts heart, right through its inner mechanisms and its tough outer armour. The beam carries on for some distance before dissipating amongst the dust.

>Energon Reserve-97/171

The creature shudders once, then goes very still.

You slither out of its hull and spin through the rust. Below you the beast drifts ever lower.

You zip up towards the shore, rocketing from the dusty sea and land on the pier in a crouch.

Rumbling in joy, you transform.

"Always the life of the party, aren't you brother." A voice says. You look up and see the robust form of Cetus standing on the shore.

His arms are crossed before him, and a dark, wedge shaped ship rests in the sky above.
