The rules are simple. After each post, there's a ten minute window of response. You're free to respond accordingly or add in with Free Writes. Responses that are too late won't be tallied or counted. Majority always wins.

“We’re going to make you into a genius.” You declare, looking at DP with a satisfied expression.

“Does that mean you think I’m stupid?” He asks, staring at you blankly.

“No, of course not.” You refute. “I never said that. I’m just saying, we’re going to teach you battle tactics. That way, when we fight, we’ll be better coordinated.”

“Okay.” He nods, conceding.

As you look at the “training” mechanism, you see the ladder game. However, instead of it normally being a 2-dimensional model, it’s a holographic model connected to each other in a triangle. Furthermore, while there are three starting points, as you look down the model you notice that there are two bombs at two of the ending points, and only one with no bomb.

“… Akiho really wasn’t fucking around when she said this place was “upgraded”.” With fucking bombs in the equipment. What other kind of fucked up exercises did this gym have? Well, you can look at those later, at the very least.

>Enough musing, it’s time to train. (Roll 1d20)
>>
Coliseum Gym (Roll 1d20):
>1. Failure, with stat decrease.
>2-5. Failure.
>6-11. Failure.
>12-15. Small gains. +15 to the main stat (if HP/MP, +275), with +9 to secondary stat. (+100 if HP/MP)
>16-19. Large gains. +45 to main stat (if HP/MP, +400) , with +27 to secondary stat. (+250 if HP/MP)
>20. GAINS. +150 to main stat (if HP/MP +600), +60 to secondary stat (+355 if HP/MP) and with additional opportunity to train.

The training guide you received from Akiho nets you an additional stat boost of +5 in Atk, Def, Spd, or Brn-- It's +50 if training in HP/MP. However, this only applies if you successfully roll.

As you go through the training, you think it’s bullshit that you have a time limit to how long you can look at this goddamn figure before picking a single route. Fuck this game. In your haste, you yell to DP.

“DP! Pick the third one!”

“O-Okay!”

As directed, he picks the third option. Suddenly, a spark lights and begins going through the ladder game—and suddenly the placement of the bombs makes sense to you. That’s a fucking spark. Fucking up this training means blowing up your partner.

“WHAT KIND OF FUCKING TRAINING IS THIS?!” You yell, just as the spark hits the bomb. Immediately, it explodes violently—but much to your relief, it’s a smoke bomb. Still, it manages to cover your partner in powdery residue. As he blinks, he looks over to you with a bewildered expression.

“Aw fuck.” You say.

“Fuck giving up?” He parrots, as he tilts his head.

“That’s right. FUCK giving up.” You fold your arms. “I said I’d make you stronger, so a minor setback like this? Who gives a shit.” You pat his back. “If someone says something or if you mess up, it’s not supposed to faze you in the slightest. Do you know what you’re supposed to say?”

“No…?”

“You say you don’t give a single fuck.” You start up that retarded training exercise again. “GO!”

Like the last time, you do the retarded ladder game again. As he flounders briefly before picking a random option, just like before, a flour bomb explodes in DP’s face. While he does look a little discouraged, he shakes the dust off his fur and looks at you staunchly.

“That was nothing.” His fur seems to be puffing up just a little. In response, you grin at the little bastard. Not what you were completely expecting, but it’s a start.

Admittedly, I was already thinking about having the training manual act as a multiplier over a stat boost even before I started this session. However, due to my lack of experience as a QM, I was unsure.

After glancing through all three options for the ladder game, you direct DP to place his bets on the second option, the both of you brace for impact. However, as the spark harmlessly goes through the end without a bomb, you fist pump and yell loud enough for the entire gym to hear you.

“FUCK YEAH!”

“We finally did it!” He cheers, looking over to you with a happy expression.

“Well, it’s not like we could fail forever.” As you say that rather idly, you lift up your phone to check on his stats.

HP/MP: 1332/1332 | 864/864 → 964/964
Atk: 89
Def: 51
Spd: 73
Brn: 80 → 95

Fuck yes. This is a start. However, as you look at all his other stats, you figure he could use some training in something else.

“You know what buddy? You’re already pretty smart as is, but it looks like you need to learn how to take punches.” You nod to yourself, scanning around the gym. The moment you lay eyes on the training mechanism for defense, you’re not sure whether you should laugh at the irony of it all.

For starters, the machine has a giant boxing glove loaded onto a machine. Judging by the way it looks, it seems as if there’s a timer that will released the glove to punch. As you open up the training manual for tips, you realize that the objective of this training is for your Digimon to learn how to properly block and defend in the spur of the moment.

“What the hell, let’s do it. Stand right there would you, DP?”

“Okay…” Once he stands directly in the hit box, the boxing glove pulls itself back.

“When I tell you to block, block. You got this?”

“I-I got it!” He nods, gulping as he stares.

You didn’t even see the punch coming. Next thing you know, DP is flying from the force of the punch from that stupid goddamned contraption. Naturally, you catch your partner despite the impact causing you to fall down, but it’s not a big deal to you. Screwing up all those times, though… that might be getting to you.

“You know, maybe today isn’t my day.” You sigh, ruffling DP’s head. In turn, he nuzzles your hand just a little before hopping out of your lap.

“I can go one more time!” He nods. He seems to be trying to motivate you to help him one more time. “I-It doesn’t have to be this one, but I know if we try again… I-I think we’ll definitely make it.”

Hmm.. Judging from past experiences in dice rolling, the dice may give us better average results if:

>A. The situation is dramatic and intense.
> C. The poster rolls while saying self deprecating words or while temptimg fate in a suitably ironic fashion.
>C. We (as in the character) are doing something stupidly awesome and awesomely stupid while yelling in a hot blooded and/manly way.

Since we cannot control when option A happens and option B is both dangerous and unreliable by its very nature, that leaves us with only one method to ensure good rolls.

Therefore, I propose that from now on, whenever we roll our dice, we do so while yelling in the most Hot Blooded manner possible. Saying inpirational speeches and memorable quotes from Tokusatsu and Giant Mecha Anime is also acceptable.
>>
>>34324227

“All right. One last time. We’re gonna go for speed.” You figure that if he’s fast enough, you won’t have to worry about his piss poor defense. As he nods, you look at him with a contemplative expression.

“What’s wrong?” He tilts his head at you, almost worried.

“You know what? Regardless of success or failure, we’ll do this: You can pick any one of these training exercises and I’ll do one myself. Just for shits and giggles.” You say.

“W-What? Won’t that hurt?”

“What? Did it hurt?”

“N-No…”

“That’s right. NOTHING HURTS THE PRIDE OF MAN.” You declare, folding your arms before glancing to him and nudging him lightly. “At the very least, we’re partners, right? I’ll let you tell me what to do. What do you say, DP?”

“U-Uh…” He looks at you with a concerned expression, but shrugs his shoulders. “… If you really want to.”

“I leave it to you. For now…” You glance through your training guide as you head over to the speed machine. Apparently, your task is to direct him to dodge bombs that are automated to hit three spots this time around.

As you direct him to dodge to the left and right once a bomb appears, you’re flabbergasted to see two bombs at once, and scramble to direct him to the left panel. Unfortunately, just before he makes it, he gets hit by another flour bomb.

“FUCK! We were so close…” Your shoulders sag as you facepalm. Looking at you, DP walks over and deliberately shakes the flour off of his fur within direct vicinity of you, resulting in your clothes and face having flour smears. As you glance over to him, while he does look notably tired, he smiles at you cheerfully.

“There’s always next time.” He says as he sits on the floor. “We can still go out to train somewhere… after a break, hopefully?”

I wake up to see this. This is a little sad, both from a mechanics standpoint and a "dice gods are laughing" standpoint. If you don't want to watch someone rant, ignore this.

>d20 is crit heavy
Unless you deliberately want crits everywhere, d20 is kinda bad for multiple rolls. 3 posts of 3d10 or 3d12 will suit you better. That said, if the QM's and the players' definition of hot-blooded means "fail until you get 1 good success"....sure.

>Literally 4 hours of training
This isn't sustainable. Plan a regiment of training: anywhere from 4-10 rounds of training, and just roll/write for all of them in a single go. Otherwise, this shit will get old real damn quick.

>Offering to do the training yourself
That's actually a really bro AND a really smart thing to do. If there's one thing a human can always teach a digimon, it's technique. A shame teenagers usually don't have a skillset that benefits digimon...

Moments tick by as you hold your pose in front of the machine. You’re not shifting out of it until DP gives you the signal. Speaking of DP, he’s no longer sitting down, and he’s looking alert as he can be for your sake.

“Now!”

Before the punch comes, you raise your hands in front of you to shield yourself. However, the blow never comes. Instead, as the machine cranks back into place, you find that DP ran from his spot and has defended you from the machine.

“DP,” You start to say, folding your arms with a frown. “Why didn’t you let me take that fisting when you’re obviously tired? Did you think I couldn’t take it?”

“N-No… It’s because…” He pants, glancing up at you as he sits back down on the ground, clearly tired now. “I-I promised I’d protect you. And… A-And…”

“And?”

“I’m a man of my word too…” He nods tiredly.

That little bastard.

“That’s enough out of you, you little bastard.” You grin at him, patting his head as he looks at you sleepily. “Go ahead and sleep. I got you, buddy.”

Nodding, DP easily curls up into a small ball to rest for the night. After, you pick him up, and begin looking for a place to rest for the night. Ultimately, you find no such place in the coliseum, and end up occupying a bench while allowing your partner to rest on top of you.

Soon enough, you drift to sleep too. After all, you haven’t slept at all since you came to this place.

--

You didn’t dream. Maybe you did, but you can’t remember it. After catching shuteye from the day’s previous events, you wake up to find DP coming out of the Coliseum restroom. He looks a lot livelier by comparison to yesterday.

“Feeling better?”

“Mhm. Yesterday was really crazy, don’t you think so…?” He shakes his head almost sheepishly. “I mean… we met, and then you met those other people, and then we went into Signpost forest and—“

“Hey, I don’t need a summary of what happened.” You grin, reaching down to pat his head. As you do, his stomach growls rather loudly. “Looks like we gotta get you something to eat too, huh?”

However, speaking of those other people you met yesterday… you see the kid with goggles—Taiga, was it? Anyway, you see him and his Agumon at the Coliseum counter, chatting to an even bigger Dinosaur-like Digimon.

Without saying anything, you get off the bench and head over towards the exit. A small part of you does make the time to make a small wave at both Taiga and his partner, but other than that, you do nothing else to try and grab their attention. After all, you have absolutely no intention of joining that retarded tournament. Why would you change your mind?

With DP trailing behind you as you walk down the stairs, you get on your phone and call Akiho.

“Hello?”

“It’s me.” You say bluntly. “Did some training, got gains. I think we did pretty well for a bunch of casuals.”

“Casual?” Akiho repeats over the phone, sounding a little confused. “Well, as long as you did well, that’s important, right?”

“So, now that I’ve trained a little in the gym, what do you suggest we should do next?” You go on, making a right turn at the plaza towards the Meat farm. “Is there any place where we can armor up? Get some weapons?”

“Whoa.” Ahiko sounds a little startled over the phone. “I’m not sure if you can find things like that… I know Digimon have accessories like hats and goggles, but don’t you think it’d be a little weird if Digimon would give away weapons like that?” She asks.

“Nothing weird about a guy trying to survive with his Digimon.” You say, casting a glance towards DP, who has already run towards the Meat Farm.

“Well, I guess that’s true too…” She hums over the phone. “I’m not too sure, honestly. I’ll go looking around, but in the meantime, why don’t you try exploring Railroad Plains?”

“Railroad, right. I'll suplex a train and see if any digimon want to rumble. You sure about the weapons though?” You ask. “Like, not even a pair of brass knuckles?"

“… Not that I’m aware of. Sorry.” She sounds confused. “I mean, I’ve never heard about someone wanting to fight like that—though, Taiga just told me earlier he fought a guy in the Coliseum who tried, I think? He got carried out by GeoGreymon, though.”

“Huh.” You shrug to yourself. “While that’s interesting, I think I’ll try exploring Railroad Plains after Deep Purple and I eat.”

“Yeah! That’s a good idea.” She chirps in response. “Plus, you’d get to see the world with him, like you promised, right?”

“Right.” On that note, you hang up the phone and head over to Palmon. After acquiring five meats, you stow away several in your phone’s inventory, and glance through what you have. Previously, you still have the other three HP disks that Akiho gave you yesterday, in addition to the two meats you also had. Taking those two, you hand one over to DP and take one for yourself as you both eat. Once you both finish up, you get directions and enter Railroad Plains.

While not the same entrance you used to come to the city, you find yourself at a similar place where you were before, when you first arrived in the Digital World.

With Deep Purple trailing behind you, you wander around the area. While there are Digimon around, none of them seem to want to pick a fight with you at the moment. Disregarding that, you go inside a ruined train and look around; it’s exactly what you’d expect it to be.

While ruined and in disrepair, it seems quite like the genuine article. You wonder about that—if this is the Digital World, then how the fuck are there trains from the real world you came from here?

“DP.”

“Yes?”

“Why are there trains and other shit, if this is supposed to be an entirely different world?”

“Well…” He starts, humming in contemplation. “They say that the Digital World “borrows” concepts from the human world. I mean, it kind of makes sense, doesn’t it?”

“Not really, no.” You shake the controls, only to break a lever out of its compartment. “I’ve seen a meat farm and I still don’t know what to make of that.”

“Meat doesn’t grow in your world?” Deep Purple asks, baffled by the thought.

“What do you really think about the Digital World?” You ask, glancing over to your partner as he hops on the ruined seats, and inspects the inside of the train.

“I think it’s… Well…”

“Well?”

“I-I don’t really know what to think. But… I don’t think it’s a bad place. There’s all kinds of Digimon, and even if we’ve met bad ones, there are nice ones too, right? Just like how you humans aren’t bad at all.” He stares up at you. “Like I told you before, up until I met you and before Analogman woke up Machinedramon… I’ve always been at Mt. Infinity.”

“So you’re just like me, then.” You comment as you toss away the lever and begin looking at the shelves for abandoned belongings. “You’ve never seen the world, have you?”

“I guess so. But… I can tell you for a fact, Mt. Infinity is a whole lot different than this place. You can see grid lines everywhere, with blocks floating in the sky, too.” He comments, peeking out of the train to look up at the sky. “But it’s not like this sky. Everything’s a little different there.”

“Did you like it there?”

“Not really…” He shakes his head. “I like this place better.”

“What do you really want?” You ask, breaking off a seat railing. It’ll have to do as a club, if anything. However, you pause your ransacking of this train to look over to where DP is.

Curiously, your partner is watching the sky for no real reason—no reason is what comes to your mind, anyway. As such, you sit down beside him and look expectantly for an answer. Regardless, he seems to be lost in his thoughts—or is he ignoring you?

“Not knowing is an acceptable answer too.” You say, before looking at the sky and searching for what he might be staring at. “Hell, I—“

“You what?” He asks abruptly, with a far-off expression. “Is it really hard to find a reason to do anything? I mean… you seem to do things a lot just because you want to.”

“That’s because a man lives unhindered by everything. A man lives by his own rules.”

Jeez, guys i'm blushing here...
But really, i'm seeing some parallels to Kamina and Simon here.

DP is really shy and insecure about many things, while we act really boastful and full of confidence and we are always trying to teach him how a Man acts, uppercase M most definetly intentional.

And I personally think that's a great thing. If DP really is Destined to become Alphamon (and I intend to make that happen, one way or another) then he Must know how to be a good leader and a warrior of Justice.

And of course he wont be the only one to grow up and change. Character development is a thing.

“Listen, DP. A man must always do what his heart tells him is the right thing to do. If he is right and his actions bring about justice, then he may be proud of his deeds. If he is wrong and he causes those around him to suffer, then a Man must strive to right his wrongs and redeem himself. That is what it means to be a Man." You say, nodding to yourself.

“B-But then, the tournament—“

“With that said,” You interrupt. “A Man doesn’t play by the rules of people you don’t respect or trust. That’s fucking stupid— I’ll keep bringing that up each time. That whole tournament is obviously a set-up. See, DP, we’re good because we’ve chosen for ourselves. Not like Akiho and those other morons.”

“But, if we’re good then… I-I don’t understand. W-Why was it okay to leave the others like that then?” He asks rather intently. “Why is it so bad to trust other p-people because we don’t know them? W-We made up to Akiho the other day, but then we were really mean to the others t-too…”

You could say that Akiho is the exception, but for now you hold your tongue on that statement as you aren’t completely sure of it yourself. “There’s a fine line between righteousness and stupidity.”

“I-I know!” He stammers now. “B-But, if we’re really doing the right thing, why— w-why can’t we trust other people?”

That said, let me try another write-in:

"Urk. Damn... Oh, all right.

I couldn't help it, that smug bastard was pissing me. But don't think for even a second that I don't trust you, that i'm using you. >>34330983
>Our character ain't really all that strong, he's indecisive and wishy-washy, but plays himself up as being cooler than he really is to cover up his insecurities.
Also boosted by the fact DP hangs on his every word and idolises him.
>>
>>34330983
Damn DP, this is going to suck for you.
>>
>>34330983
>>34331017
And this is how you birth an amazingly fun character to play with.

I've only ever "seriously" played pen and paper games with one group and the GM, who has become a close friend over the course of things, has a love of Rich Characterization.

He would much prefer to fudge rolls for us and have us come out of a tough fight beat up and victorious because we made a more "fun" or "interesting" character in D&D than he would like for us to optimize and never have any challenge or growth.

I hated it at first, but now I couldn't imagine a more fun way to play.
>>
>>34330983
Wow...we just rolled up our character's problem without even trying...
>>
>>34331092
It just sucks that we'll never get a character who is pragmatic AND hotblooded.
>>
>>34331143
Maybe.

I still like to think our guy has his reasons. It seems pretty obvious that the QM is building up to a story of our guy having been betrayed.

I trust him. He'll make it work.
>>
>>34330938
I realise that. Thats even more true whem you realise we are still in the formatuce stages of our character's personality.

Looking at our actions from an in-universe perspective, I can safely say we have trust issues.
We trust DP completely, but that's mostly because he is an introvert and someone that helped us in times of danger.
On the other hand, we were wary of the tournament guys (whose names I just can't seem to remember) from the moment we saw them. We rejected their offers of friendship and attempts at mediation at every turn and when we left we were barely on speaking terms with them.
OOC we know that is because /tg/ wanted to do something different, but IC it just makes us look unreasonable.

And before someone tries to say the GM attempted to railroad us into the tournament with that conversation, we must consider the IC logic behind the other tamers side of the conversation.

As far as they know, the tournament is the only way to save the Digital World. And they need all the help they can get, even if the only other guy they found is a noob with an attitude problem.
Becauae thats probably how we looked like from Their side of the conversation, a noob with no knowledge of how things work who let himself get riled up by some trolling.
>>
>>34331218
I'd say that's a fair assessment.

I wouldn't go so far as to say we were being railroaded. I think the characters had an extremely good reason for wanting us to join in. That we rejected the obvious and chose another path is very much in line with a good story.

Maybe not a "normal" story, but still a good one!

The quality of the writing has been surprisingly good so far. Above the expected for the average quest on /tg/, that's for sure.
This is the first quest I've been involved with since the first thread, and I think my passion for this quest shows in how many write-ins I wrote.

I expect great things in our future, guys and I hope we can be here for a long time.
>>
>>34331143
Don't say that so soon, anon.
Considering he didn't join the others even when they told him it was to save the digital world, treating most characters like shit (though he feels bad about some) exept his best bud DP AND the fact he doesn't mind dropkicking digimon in the face. plus we took a seat railing and we plan on using it as a club in a place that's probably not too fond of the idea.
While not completly pragmating we're heading there, slowly put surely.
>>
>>34331346
Right now, we're a fair ways closer to paranoid than to pragmatic.
>>
>>34331401
Slowly but surely, we're heading there.
Everyone's not born pragmatic, it's something we grow into.

“…A-Are you… just u-using me?” He asks, looking up at you with a saddened expression. “B-Because if you keep saying stuff like that, I-it makes it seem like you w-were using A-Akiho y-yesterday too… S-So why would it be a-any different if you were using me the same wa—”

“Listen, I would never betray you. You’re not a machine. You’re not a tool for me to use and cast aside when I’m done.” You say. “You are 「DEEP PURPLE」. And you're the most important thing to me. So long as I'm me, I will not betray you or use you.”

“But why am I-I i-important to you?” He says, looking confused. “A-Am I just an excuse for you to do things?”

“No. Hell no. I’m never going to use you.” You sigh, before standing up. “The reason I trust YOU is because out of everyone we’ve met, you put yourself out there for me without asking for anything. I’ll do the same thing for you—Fuck, You’re not an excuse for me to do whatever fucking shenanigans I want! Joining that tournament? I didn’t do it because I was mad at that stupid cunt of a kid.” You shake your head. “Like the fuck I know what I’m doing. I barely know what I’m supposed to be doing here.”

You look over to him with a solemn expression. “If it really means so much to you, we can go back and ask more about the tournament and think about it some more.”

(Cont.)
>>
>>34331287
That's exactly what I was saying, dude.
We have to examine things using both the... whatsitsname... Watsonian and Doylist perspectives.

On the Doylist side we rejected the tournament because we didn't like the idea for that storyline, while on the Watsonian side it was because our character thought the tournament was a big trap.

On the other side of the discussion, still on the Watsonian perspective, the other tamers needed all the help they could get, so they did their best to make us trust them (except for Bastard McSmugface, but fuck him).
On the Doylist side, the probable explanation was that RKD had much more material planned for the tournament than he had in case we rejected the idea.

It's pretty easy to see that.
>>
>>34331508

What comes next surprises you.

“—I don’t care about that…” He mutters, before shaking his head again. “W-Well, I-I do, b-but…”

“But what? I thought all this time you wanted to join that tournament.” You press, looking at him for an answer. “What haven’t you been telling me?”

“It doesn’t matter to me w-whether we j-join or not b-because I believe in what you said that d-day. T-That we’d find our own way of doing things, even if they're different… I believe in that! B-but…” He takes a deep breath and shakes his head. “I-I-… I don’t like how you keep pushing everyone away… Saying that I'm the only one you need...I promised I'd protect you, but I-I shouldn't be the only one you want to rely on! D-Don't you want friends?”

“Friends?” You parrot. A expression appears on your face, but you cover it up with a hand shortly after. You didn’t need to hear that noise. “Were you worried about me?”

Deep Purple nods, looking over to you with a worried expression.

“—I guess it would be nice, but I’m fine. I’ve done fine like this so far.” You respond.

For a while, there’s a pregnant pause between you both. You can’t think of anything to say, because there’s nothing you want to say on this topic. You don’t have to though—he breaks the silence for you.

“Where I was before… everyone wanted to kill each other to get stronger. That’s what kind of place Mt. Infinity is. A-And… I-I know better than anyone that I’m not strong… I was lucky I made it out.” He admits, still not looking at you. Is he ashamed? “I was lost… I didn’t know what to do anymore, b-but then I heard your voice.”

Of course you remember that part. That’s when you first met him unexpectedly. But you don’t say that.

“W-When I came to meet you, you thought that too, r-right? But even then, you protected me. Y-You’ve protected me twice! Th—That’s why, it feels like I can’t… protect you by myself. I-It’s like you don’t even need me at times. But I want to protect you still, not only because we’re partners, but—…”

He takes a deep breath, and finally looks up at you.

“You… were my very first friend…” He looks down. “… That’s why, I don’t like it when you try to isolate yourself from others. B-Because doing that… isn’t it lonely?”

>A. “It’s easier.”
>B. “Being alone doesn’t mean I’m lonely.”
>C. “I’m not alone.”
>D. Write in.
>>
>>34332359
>A. “It’s easier.”
I think our MC would say something like this.
>>
>>34332359
"You've got to realize something here, DP. I'm not alone. *We're* not alone. We have each other's backs, and we always will, right? Besides, having other people around is too noisy and obnoxious for someone like me, even if I'm exactly that. Even if we don't have anyone else, we'll always have each other."
>>
>>34332359
>>A. “It’s easier.”

It's alot easier considering I don't have to care or worry what others do... But now that I have you, I had to change that way of thinking for awhile now. Tell you what, the next time you digievolve we will get close and become friends with Akiho the next time we see her, sound like a deal?
>>
>>34332359
>D. Write in
Something that mixes them a bit
>>"It's easier like this, but that doesn't matter since you're here and I'm not alone anymore. We're here together."
>>
B
&
D-and besides, you give yourself far to much grief, You have helped me, and I do believe in you DP you have strength, you have power, the only real thing you're lacking is experience and that comes with time. And no matter what we have each other, besides I've always been a quality over quantity kind a guy anyways. I much rather just have a small group of friends that I could trust with my life then a large group of people that would probably stab me in the back at the first sign of trouble, like that cunt bag with the black war greymon
>>
>>34332359
D
Pet that little lovable bastards head.

"I'm not alone right now. And neither are you. I... I don't really know why, but I feel more comfortable like this. Just us. Nobody else to try and make our decisions for us. Maybe... Maybe you are right. I don't know."
>>
>>34332359
C. I'm not alone

We must establish that we consider DP as a friend so he doesn't doubt our relationship
>>
>>34332359
>D. Write in.

"... fine, i get it. I said that when a man makes a mistake he must try to fix it, as best as he can. And I'm a man of my word. If you really think I should try to be more sociable and all that then I'll do my best to make more friends. Hell i'd even be civil with that smug dude from last time. We're partners. We're Friends, DP, and I expect you to tell me when I fuck up, because thats what friends do. We help each other and make sure the other doesn't fuck up too much."

And thats my last write in for today.
I'm going to bed, hope to see you guys next time

“…It’s easier.” You answer. You don’t refute it being lonely however, but that’s not something you need to say out loud. “But I’m not alone either.”

“T-Then…” He looks up at you again, but this time, you sit down so he doesn’t have to look up so high. “I-I’m your friend?”

“Yeah you are.” You smile, just slightly. “Partners, too. I can’t guarantee I’ll be civil to that smug cunt from before, and you already know by now I prefer playing by my own rules. I’ll attempt to be civil. But from now on, can you do me a favor?”

“Yes?”

“Call me out on my shit. Do it because you’re my friend.”

“Okay. I can do that.” He nods. In turn, you hold out your first to him. He looks at you puzzlingly before beaming in delight and meeting you halfway for a fist bump.

Fuck yeah.
