ignorant fools who do not know their place

weak fools who pick fights with their betters

there is no benefit to associating with them

there is only anger

frustration

yet you fear the consequences of removing them

because you are also a fool

"Umm, sorry about yesterday," I say. "I probably should've called you after we left the hospital but then some, uh... -stuff- came up, and-"
"No, it's fine," Mina shakes her head. "I'm not mad at you or anything.

I have half a mind to tell her about that whole thing with the werewolf chick yesterday, but I should probably hold off on that for now.

"So how have you been doing?" I ask. "I know that all of this has to hae been rough on you..."
"It sucks," Mina grumbles. "I honestly felt like skipping today too, but my Mom thought it would be better for me to be here than sitting in my room brooding all day," she sighs. "Clearly she didn't know that the entire school would be talking about what happened."
"Yeah, they've been getting at me too."
"Sorry to get you caught up in all this, Cecile," she says, looking really guilty. "Not just this, the Branch stuff too. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't keep getting caught up in these fucked-up situations."

"Ummmm..." I mumble as I suddenly feel really stupid. "...so how's Andy doing?"
"Andy?" Mina's expression softens. "Charlotte talked to the doctors and worked things out with her boss so the bills won't be a problem," she says. "I think they're doing some more surgery today... that's the main reason why I'm not at the hospital right now, I don't want to get in the way."
"Oh, really? So he's doing well?"
"Looks like it," she nods. "Marcus gave her the address of where Andy worked too, so she said she'd be investigating that... I hope she's careful, though."

I really need to thank her for that the next time I see her.

"...uh..." Mina stares at me, looking kind of confused.
"Huh?" I turn to her. "What's wrong?"
"re those the clothes that you were wearing yesterday?" she asks.

Before Mina can elaborate on her warning, the teacher finally shows up and so class begins. To be honest, I barely pay attention to anything that the teacher's saying. I'm too busy thinking about crazy mafia werewolves and molester split personalities and all the other weird stuff that I've been subjected to lately. Thankfully, the first half of classes for the day don't have much in the way of participation.

And so, we make it to the oasis that is my lunchtime.

>>
>>34450879

>>
>>34450964
There was a lot of bitching about CC being deceitful towards Charlotte by hiding the books, so that's probably where the confusion is from.
>>
"I'm starving..." Mina says as we make our way to the library.
"So am I," I nod.
"Yeah, I bet you are," she sighs. "So what're you gonna do about lunch? If you stayed at Theresa's huse last night, I doubt you had time to go back home and make something yourself... don't tell me you're expecting to mooch off of me."
"You're offering?" I say, leaning in with a wide grin. "How kind of you!"
"Cut it out, dumbass," Mina pushes me away. "You're lucky that I have extra food today."
"As much as I appreciate that you're always looking out for my stomach, Theresa said that she'd foot the bill for my lunch today," I say.
"...oh," she mumbles, noticeably dejected.
"But if you want to contribute, you KNOW that I'm not gonna refuse..." I say as I wrap my arm around Mina and lean on her.

>[1/?]
>>
>>34450989
I think it was less bitching and more "This is going to cause some shit when it comes around, Charlotte is less likely to want us is a romantic partner what with her trust issues and all."
>>
>>34451026
Yeah I can see that reasoning. But the best way around it is totally, "Bubbut.. if I gave you the book you'd leave and then I'd never see you again!!!" Which is a legitimate concern.

Our happy goofing off on the way to the library is cut short by a single sentence.

"Oh look, it's the two dykes."

The second we hear that, Mina stops in hr tracks and goes tense.

"Who the FUCK just said that!?" she shouts.
"Who do you think?" the two girls from earlier this morning say as they saunter toward us. "Don't think I don't know that it was YOU who did whatever the hell that was to my eyes, you bitch," she points to me.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," I reply nonchalantly. "And I have better things to do than put up with you, so if you don't mind..." I say as I try to walk past.

I say "try" because they immediately block my path.

"Leave her alone," mina growls.
"Or what?" one of the girls scoffs. "The multicultural dyke squad will call a teacher on us?"

I assume we're in a fantasy world where sexualities and races are completely different to how they exist in the real world, and that stereotypes no longer apply.
As such, SJW stuff cannot be used as a destructive weapon to sabotage a nation, and it might not be as popular as it is in the real world.

"We don't have time to waste on you so get lost," I say, pushing the girl closest to me aside with one hand while I grab Mina's forearm with my other and walk past.
"You're not getting away that easy," one of the girls says as she reaches for me...

...and trips over her own feet, her arms flailing so much that they actually sweep under her friend's feet as she falls face-first onto the floor with a VERY satisfying thud. And I don't even have time to enjoy the sight before the other lands on top of her friend, her knees bent in what looks like a very painful angle.

"My leg!" a girl cries. "I think it's broken!"
"Cecile, you stupid bitch!"

"So, uh... what's going on here?" Theresa says, leaning over the pile of girls on the floor. "A fight?"
"Not a fight," Mina shakes her head. "Just a stupid accident."
"A REALLY stupid accident," I nod.

For once, I am completely innocent in this mess! And Theresa's pretending to be just as innocent... it's kind of scary how good she is at this.

"Huh, I see," Theresa nods. "You two want some help getting up?" Theresa says, extending a hand to the girls.

"My leg's broken!" the other cries.

"Why are YOU such a fucking klutz!?"
"So you -don't- need any help, then" Theresa asks.
"No, fuck off!" they both shout in unison.
"Well okay then," she shrugs.

That really doesn't track based on the information we have, unless either Charlotte is the best liar on the face of the earth, or Gauthier is doing a ton of shit behind her back for no discernible reason. It would also go against Gauthier's known policy of trying to avoid random civilian casualties.

Plus, why would Gauthier want to own a restaurant of all things? There are much better covers that someone of his resources and connections could use, he'd have no reason whatsoever to buy out a random restaurant, and even less reason to conduct business there that is sensitive enough to force him to use brain bamboozlement on the off-the-books employees.

It's not impossible but it just doesn't track.

>>34454362
Doesn't make the theory any less retarded. There is simply no possible reason for a guy like him to conduct sensitive magical business in the back room of a goddamn TGI Friday's.

May as well hypothesize about a previously completely unmentioned cult devoted to Nyarlathotep being the culprit, because it only makes marginally less sense.
>>
>>34454378
I thought Irene didn't know anything about him, like he was the NWO or some kind of shadowy overlord.
>>
>>34454378
And she's just spouting the party line of her religious extremist organization who by all accounts (including their own) feel like they have the right to be the world police of magic.

"...does it want to, uh... 'remove' me?" Mina asks.
"No," I shake my head. "It wanted me to laser those girls who were badmouthing you earlier," I say.
"Great, so you have an evil split personality. and what about you?" she turns to Theresa.
"Uh..." Theresa mumbles. "Mine isn't evil?"

Mina rests her head on the table.

"Great, so superpowers come along with nice helping of schizophrenia," Mina grumbles.
"Well I do a pretty good of keeping it under control... I think," I say. "And if I do lose it, all you have to do is shock me back to normal."
"What, like with one of Theresa's stunguns?"
"No," I sigh. "Just, uh..."

Nope. I am not going to tell Mina that THeresa stole my first kiss in order to keep me from killing a bitch yesterday.

"Yanno, whatever you think would shock me normally," I shrug.
"Like saying that her panties are showing through her clothes," Theresa says, snapping her fingers.
"Yeah, like-" I scramble to make sure that my borrowed lingerie isn't in fact visible.

THAT WAS NOT FUNNY.

"Okay, I get it," Mina nods. "So you're not going to go insane and murder everyone."
"I certainly hope not," I reply.
"And you claim that yours isn't bad," she points to Theresa, "so I'm gonna leave that alone.

Not evil, just perverted.

I hope.

Is it seeing Charlotte? I kinda got lost with Princess Guard getting in the way.

I don't think telling a cosmic horror what he is and isn't allowed to do is a very good idea.

It's ambiguous whether the split personality are truly different persona (in which case I suspect ancient aliens to be behind this whole Branch thing) or just an extension of hidden desires.

So far the only thing we know about them is that both REMOVE and Anotheresa are possessive and want to destroy the wicked, but that could just be Cecile and Theresa's subsconcious' talking. Theresa in particular seem to always have been big on the crime-fighting sutff.

I start to mention that I'm going over to Charlotte's after school today to talk to her about this whole split personality business, but then I decide not to after all. Having them tag along would only serve to complicate things, and I don't want to risk Charlotte getting jealous because Theresa's there or vice-versa, and-

...Charlotte sounded jealous that I spent the night at Theresa's house. Does that mean that she likes me? I mean, I like her a lot and it'd be awesome if she liked me too but I don't even know how I'd BEGIN to go about-

"Hey, what're you smiling like that for?" Mina asks, poking me on the cheek. "It's creepy."
"Huh?"

Great, snapped back into the real world. So much for my innocent maiden's fantasies.

Thoroughly embarrassed, I focus my attention on the bounty of food that my friends provided for me. Yeah, that'll take my mind off of this.

And since I'm not talking and Mina and Theresa clearly have no desire to talk to each other, we all spend the rest of the lunch period quietly eating like the nice polite girls that we are.

Before long, the chime rings that signals the end of the period and so we head back to class... thankfully, I don't have gym today. I'd sooner die than get changed in front of other people while wearing the underwear that I' wearing.

Not to mention that this is the second day that I've been wearing it and that's gross.

"Looks like those two assholes aren't around," Mina says as she looks around.
"Good," I reply with a scowl. "I don't even want to THINK about those two."
"Just try not to go nuts and kill them, okay?"

Very funny.

Guilt.

Guilty guilt.

I feel so crappy for making Mina's crappy day even crappier with all the badness I just dumped on her. She's had it rough enough as it is over the past few days, and I really didn't want to make it worse.

"Hey, Mina?" I turn to her as we walk.
"Hm?" Mina glances at me.
"I didn't mean to ruin your day even more with all that bad news, but it seemed like things that you really needed to know," I say.
"Yeah, I get that," she nods. "And don't think that I'm md at you for telling me or anything, I just have a lot on my mind and you kind of added to that," she sighs.
"...book stuff?"
"Yeah, pretty much," she says with a tired smile.
"Well whatever you decide to do in the end, just know that I've got your back."
"You'd better," Mina says, grinning at me.

The rest of our school day goes by peacefully. Mina doesn't give Theresa the evil eye during Math class, we don't get harassed by those two whores... and none of the teachers try to ask us what happened to them either.

Too bad the first half of the day couldn't have been as uneventful.

And so, the final bell rings and me and Mina make our way toward the exit and to FREEDOM!

That be all for tonight's thread, folks.

Sometimes you can just tell. You don't need to see someone engaging in homosexual orgies in public to correctly intuit that they bat for the other team, and teenagers tend to be especially bad at hiding their preferences, doubly so when they're actively engaged in any sort of relationship.
