You stand on the lower deck of the Manifest destiny, orbs of light float around everyone. You are Anthony Grant, leader of the <1st Panzer Division>, captain of the Manifest Destiny, and Ambrosis the level 40 cleric.

“We ready?” You ask.

“We better be.” Tarot comments, “We're almost out of water.”

“Eh, what's the worst that could go wrong.” You respond before flipping the switch. Ah, the wonderful sensation of flipping a switch; knowing that what was once lifeless and blocked from its purpose now knows both life and its function is gloriously obvious. You let out a bitter sweet sigh. If only your life was so simple as machinery.

Lilac yells out, “I can't look!” You glance over to see her looking away from the battery array.

You respond, “It'll be fine.”

“We're pretty much out of water now.” Tarot says, “So it's the moment of truth now.”

The hydra disappears in a flash of light and in its place comes a woman of water, dark water representing her body while lighter water forming a toga around her. She carries with her a harp and above her head floats the word Undine.

The summoner points to an open boiler and the elemental begins to play her harp, which causes a stream of water to slither across the air to the beat of the melody.

That is when you feel the ship slowing. You brace yourself onto a nearby wall, preparing for the worst, but the speed soon levels out and the Manifest Destiny chugs along at a steady pace.

“Ha!” Lilac shouts, “I knew it would work!”

You give her a certain look and say, “Really?”

“Oh, like you've never done something like this.”

A memory suddenly invades your thoughts and you can't help but remember the time you had to program a lego robot to navigate a maze, which you refused to look at for the first half of the maze, but upon your bot not only getting past the point most other bots veered off course, but be the only one to complete the maze you not-so-tactfully proclaimed yourself the best and invited everyone to suck your dick. It was probably not the best thing for you to proclaim before actually receiving your grade.

You shrug. “Yeah, well I did it with more class.”

“More class?” Lilac asks.

“Oh yeah, I pointed to the sky with both hands and yelled, 'I'm the best! Ya'll can suck my dick!'” You nod to your own statement and conclude, “True story.”

“Pfft.” Lilac responds, “Real classy.”

“It was!” You respond, “I told the entire class, professor and all, to suck my dick.” You pause, “Not individually of course, that'd just be weird.”

“Oh, so it's less weird if they did it as a group.”

“Exactly! See, if everyone's doing it, that's just conformity.”

There is a bit of a pause before hints of laughter escapes from both of your moths.

“What are we even talking about anymore?” Lilac asks.

“I don't even know anymore.” You respond.

“One tank full!” You hear Tarot announce. “Three left!”

You breathe in, then out, and then clap your hands together. “Alright, that's enough captaining for today.”

“We'll probably reach Pueblo late tonight.” Lilac comments, “Or tomorrow depending on when we stop.”

“Ah.” You respond, “So, what's so special about Pueblo?”

“Well, lore-wise, it's a city state ruled by Grandma Spider. Oh, and most of the friendly NPCs are spider people. It's pretty much right next to the server line and is surrounded on all sides by Misvert's territory. The king of Misvert more or less exiled all the spider people to the city and has been ignoring them ever since. The city itself is actually quite intricate. Can't tell you how many times I've gotten lost there looking for the AH.”

“Huh. So what's Gradma Spider like?”

“She's a an old spider-lady who acts like a doting grandmother. At least that's how she acted in the game. One of the first quests in the city is to present her with a blanket. Oh, also, some of her children tried to rebel against King Aubron. That event's actually a dungeon where you have to kill them all. I still don't know how I feel about it. A lot of people started saying how messed up it was and the devs responded that they don't HAVE to go to that dungeon, but...” She shakes her head. “Sorry, I'm getting off track. Uhh.. Right. Grandma Spider's pretty much a... well... spider grandma. I don't think there's any better way of describing her.”

“Hmm...” You can't really think of anything else to ask so you just say, “Alright. Thanks.”

The <Morning Star> HQ is in Pueblo, isn't it? Judi would know about the city, and it's always good to get more information. Knowledge is power, after all.

You start to walk away. “Whelp, I'm off to check on Judi.” You mention to Lilac, “Her guild is based there so she'll probably know something about the players in the area.”

Lilac doesn't respond.

You stop and look at her. “Are you okay?”

“Hm?” She looks to you, “Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking about things.”

You are pretty sure that wasn't honest of a response, but you decide not to pry.

You head up the stairs and to the center deck.

“So, I looked up and I see this chair flying at me!” You hear the voice of the no-word carry through the middle deck.

You hear your brother laugh and respond with, “So, first day, no, first HOUR, and someone just up and throws a chair at you?”

“No, no.” The not-word continues, “They put, like, a glider on the chair and crashed it at the ground! It was so dumb!”

Your brother's laughter lessens, “Oh! Someone was trying to reinvent the plane! ... How is that dumb?”

You travel up the next set of stairs and don't hear the rest of that conversation. You are not sure if you'd actually want to, though. Back on the deck you see Trove and Carnegie both relaxing and talking about something, although it is hard to hear over the wind. You look around, but can't see Takeshi anywhere. Or Edifice for that matter.

Oh well.

You travel up the steps to the helm. “Hey, Judi, know anything about Pueblo?”
>>
>>34517112
The duelist gives you a glance before looking back towards the road she is attempting to stay on. “Uhh... Well, it is where Brimstone put our guildhall. It is also where the PVP tournament for the Americas are held. Uhh... We pretty much have control of the town, well, not exactly. There are two councils set up. It was explained to me but I don't quite remember it. There is an Adventurer council and a Lander council and they can veto each other, or something. Also they mentioned getting blankets. I didn't really catch why they mentioned it. The briefing was very... short.”

“I see.” You tap your chin in thought. Two councils that can veto each other? That's just begging to be locked up. It might not happen now, but you get the distinct feeling sooner or later the two are going to disagree and just grind everything to a halt.

You glance around and see the setting sun. “Do you think we'll be able to make it to Pueblo today? Lilac mentioned we'll be able to get there, but it would be late at night when we arrive.”

“If... Tarot? If Tarot can keep things moving, I'm sure I can. I've driven for three days straight, remember?”

“Y-Yeah. I remember.”

She looks down to the wheel, then glances to you. “Do you want to try driving a bit?”

[ ] “Sure. Why not?” Drive the ship for a bit.
[ ] “Nah, I think I'll go see what my brother is up to.” Go check on brother.
[ ] “Nah, I feel like I need to go find Takeshi and Edifice.” Go find the two crazies.
[ ] “Actually, I think I'm gonna go call Canis. I'm a bit concerned.”

“Sure. Why not?” You respond.

She takes a step away from the helm, but does not let go until you take hold of the wheel.

You remember designing the helm control with Lilac. You wanted a more ship-like control system with a helm and everything. It's quite ingenious, really. It's similar to your old two-lever design, although far smoother, and turning the wheel actually does the equivalent of pulling back on one of the levers. Part of you wonder how slowly you'd need to turn to not flip the entire thing over. You probably shouldn't experiment with it right now, though. Nice, slow turns should be just fine. Maybe you should turn down the speed a bit.

“Hey.” You hear Judicature say, knocking you out of your thoughts.

“Hm?” You turn to her, and just as you do, she touches her lips to yours for the slightest of a second.

She smiles and her face turns a shade red. “Uh... Lilac told me to start being more forward.” She gives you a small smile that says I-regret-nothing.

You continue to stare at the duelist, not quite sure what to do.

Her smile fades, she looks towards the bow of the ship, then back to you. “Keep your eyes on the road!”

“R-right!” Your respond, gluing your eyes to the road.

“T... That was okay, right?”

“Yeah.” You respond. There appears to be nothing but bushes and red dirt as far as the eye can see left and right, and road forwards and backwards. It's the road to Ekechi all over again.

“S-so... Do you feel less confused?”

“Maybe."

“Well, that's a start, right?”

You don't respond. You simply watch the road travel beneath you.

Judicature equally remains quiet.

“How long do you think till we get to Pueblo?”

“It looks like we're about half way there.”

“Livin' on a prayer?”

“Take my hand and we'll make it.” Judi replies, “I swear.”
>>
>>34519398
You pause and then ask, “How does the rest of that song go?”

“No idea. My dad was never much of a Bon Jovi fan.”

“Yeah? What was he a fan of?”

“Old movies. Musicals. That kind of stuff.”

“Huh. Is that why you like that stuff?”

“Pretty much, although I didn't like everything he showed me.”

“Like what?”

“Like the Three Stooges. Didn't like them. I preferred the Marx Brothers.”

“Never seen them before.”

“What!? But... Santity clause..”

“I … don't get it.”

“Okay, well, Groucho is trying to get Chico to sign a contract. Groucho has pretty much removed everything from the contract but the sanity clause. Chico asks what it is and Groucho says, 'That's the sanity clause. Don't worry, it's in every contract.' So Chico says, 'Oh, no, you can't fool me, there is no santity clause.' Cause... Cause it sounds like Santa Claus.”

“Oh... I see.”

“T-There's more to it than that, though!”

“Okay. I believe you.”

“Uh... Could you take the wheel back?” You ask Judicature, “I have a feeling someone is doing something stupid.”

“Oh. Okay.” Judi replies before taking control of the helm once again.

You walk down to the main deck and ponder. If you were Edifice, what would you do?

Well, you'd probably try to find the secret JIF operative. Takeshi would be the one he'd probably investigate. So where is Takeshi?

You look around. Not here.

Possibly middle deck?

You head down the stair to the next deck. You look around the battlements and spot your brother and Symbology arguing next to an open gun port.

“You can't just laugh at someone who makes a bad prototype!” Your brother points out, “That's like laughing at Edison for everyone time he messed up making a light bulb! There are a thousand better reasons to make fun of him!”

“It was a chair!” The fake-name responds, “Of course it wasn't going to fly! Flight isn't some kind of super science!”

“Oh, and you can make a plane?”

“I can do better than a chair!”

You move into the central sleeping room and notice two people with cloth over themselves. The name plates above them read Takeshi and Edifice. You try to understand what they are doing and you can feel the blood vessels in your brain bursting.

You take in a deep breath. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING!?”

Edifice jumps to a sitting position, but Takeshi remains perfectly still.

Takeshi is the first to speak. “We are trying to lure out ninjas.”

“Exactly.” Adds Edifice, “Everyone knows Japanese soldiers can't help but kill people while they sleep.”

Takeshi rises to a sitting position, the blanket falls away from him before he turns to look at the guardian. “What do you mean Japanese? I thought we were after ninjas.”

“Where do you think ninjas come from?”

“China.” Takeshi says, “Ninjas come from China, that's why samurai hate them so much.”
>>
>>34522491
You can feel the warp overtaking you. Or perhaps that's just mind numbing rage. “THERE ARE NO NINJAS ON THE SHIP!”

“That's what I said.” Takeshi responds, “If there were, I would have sensed them. This was merely a test to further prove my theory.”

“That's just what the JIF want you to think!” Edifice comments.

This conversation is so stupid, you are quite sure your brain is trying to kill itself to avoid it. You need to leave! You need to leave before your brain bleeds out and you die!

You stumble out of the room, but you can still hear the voices. You try not to concentrate on it, but you almost clearly hear a word.

You cover your ears with your hand and go running from the deck screaming.

You get to the top of the stairs before tripping over yourself and tumbling to the ground.

Your brother comes rushing up after you. He shouts something you vaguely understand as, “Are you okay!?”

You grab onto his shirt and say, “I have heard things people shouldn't believe! Accusations of laser-forts off the shores of America! I've seen a man put a cloth over himself to attract ninjas! Moments I wish I could lose! Lose like tears in the rain!” You let go and fall back. “I want to die.”

Judi calls down, “How could to have not seen Clue or Casablanca, but you've seen Blade Runner!?”

You look over to the woman steering the ship and shout, “I've never actually read Blade Runner, I just know the quote!”

“Blade Runner isn't a-” She pauses, “Forget it!”

You look up at the orange sky.

We don't really have a driver's rotation but I guess getting drunk with trove wont prevent Judi from having backup.
>>
>>34522851
So unless we talk to someone they will continue to parrot the same shit at everyone else until we talk to them?
>>
>>34522868
We have to relieve her of driving duty sometime.

The poor girl has been driving nonstop for three days without sleep.

That may have been a bit of vague language on my part, but what she meant was She had driven three days straight before, so the 12 hours it would take to get to Pueblo would be nothing in comparison.

She's not been that long but if she had with drinking we just do the anti hangover spell and any member of the crew (like trove) is ready to relieve her since they've presumably been getting sleep while she rode.

Ahhh. Thanks littlefather for the clarification.

I guess the bullying starts now.

Although a drunk MC trying to be friendly to her would end up even worse. So I am preparing my popcorns, although I am a judifag.

Most likely.

At least that's a word.

I get the feeling my definition of bullying and your definition are very, very different.

What do people mean by bullying?

Writing
>>
>>34523200
Poking fun at her and inevitably taking it a little too far.
>>
>>34523200
Bullying as defined by having brotherly fun that both parties enjoy and can look fondly back to when they are 80 years old.
>>
>>34523200
>What do people mean by bullying?

Light-hearted teasing to provoke some form of flustered/cute reaction.
>>
>>34523200
Light teasing that in a movie would constitute either intentional or accidental flirting.
>>
>>34523200

Light teasing and flirting at her in such a manner that may leave her flustered and/or scandalized, but also inducing laughter and intrigue.

You kick up to your feet like in all those kung-fu movies you've seen. You feel like such a bad ass having finally accomplished it with such ease.

You nod to your brother.

He nods back with a “Hell yeah.”

You turn and swagger over to Trove and Carnegie, sitting next to a big barrel of booze. “Sup?” You say to them.

“Yarr!” Trove responds first, “We be talkin' about how to get to Big Apple faster.”

“Oh?” You question, “What have you guy got so far.”

The champion holds up his beerstein and says, “Get so drunk we feel like we're getting there faster!”

“Yarr!” The pirate agrees. The two clink their cups together and drink heavily.

“Guys.” You respond, “You need to give me some time to catch up!”

“Yarr!” Trove responds before tossing you a cast iron stein.

You open up one of the barrels and scoop out a nice helping of grog. You close the barrel and sit down again.

Carnegie holds up his cup. “To time travel!”

“Time travel!” You all repeat as your cups slam together.

You drink deep of your cup. If only it had taste. You can't wait to finally reach Big Apple.

Your brother sits down next to you. “What's a man got to do to get a drink around here?”

Trove pulls another beerstein from his bag and tosses it towards Zachery, but you intercept it. You give your brother a look of concern.

“What happened to 'I'm not 21, waahh waaah waaah?'” You ask.

“I...” Your brother pauses, “I changed my mind, okay?”

“You're not just doing this out of peer pressure or something, right?”

“No!” He responds in a manner your find very suspicious. “Besides, I already drank a bunch already.” That last part seems truthful, though, so you give him the cup.

“Thank you.” He responds before getting a cup full of grog. Sips it and looks a little disappointed. “I don't know why I expected it to taste like something. We can't even get any with taste. At least not for a while.”

He goes to sip again and Carnegie puts his finger under your brother's cup. He pushes the bottom of the cup up, giving your brother more booze than he bargained for.

In response, you slap the champion's finger away. “Stop that! He's new to drinking. He's probably a light weight.”

Your brother yells, “I am not a light weight!” And he chugs the entire cup to the cheers of Carnegie, then fills his cup again and does the same once more. You can only face palm at this event.

“What's the matter!?” Your brother asks, “Can't keep up with me!?”

Whelp, now your brother's done it.

You fill up your drink and down it. “Now we're even.”

The two of your down steinful and steinful until your brother falls over backwards. You slam your cup down, jump up, and shout, “Who's the bitch now!?”

Your brother makes no response other than half-conscious gurgling. You kick him over on his side. You'll Cure him later. Right now he needs to be taught a lesson.

You look up to the helm and some strange urges posses you. You travel up the stairs to the wheel. Judi is still there, driving the ship. “So,” You say, “Shouldn't you arrest yourself for theft or something?”

“Huh?” She responds, “What do you mean?”

You fold you arms. “That kiss you stole. That's theft.”

Her face goes red. “W-would you like me to return it?”

You give a quick chuckle, but then say, “Nah, I'm just trying to tease you. It's really not that big of a deal.”

“Oh. Well... It was... kinda a big deal for me...”
>>
>>34525689
“Why's that?”

“It was...” She gets quieter with each word. “kinda... my... first.”

You scoff in disbelief, “Really? With a pretty face like yours? Nah. Don't believe you.”

She looks slightly insulted, but mostly flustered at this point. “I-it's not very nice to call me a liar.”

“Yeah, but why should I believe you? You're a thief!”

She quickly leans forward and gives you a small kiss on the cheek. “There! I returned it!”

“That's not returning it.” You respond, “Number one? Wrong kind of kiss. Number two? That's just stealing another kiss. It's like you broke into a store and stole a toaster, and then you broke into said store again to put the toaster back, but ended up stealing some pop-tarts instead! You're a kleptomaniac, it's obvious now.”

“I'm not a klepto!”

“Well if you're waiving insanity, I guess I have to turn you in to the police.” You pretend to scroll through your friend list. “Where did I put Brimstone's name?”

“Don't tell this to Brimstone!”

“Well if I can't contact the authorities, what should I do?”

“M-maybe you should...” She keeps glancing to you over and over again, “B-become a vigilante and... forcefully reclaim the... st-stolen goods?”

You tap your chin in overly exaggerated thought. “Nope!” You respond, “I'm too lazy for that.” You turn and begin to walk away. “Think I'll keep drinking instead.”

Judi responds with a number of sounds which are not words, but certainly denotes frustration. “You're... So mean!”

You put a thumb in the air and say, “That's me!”

END SESSION

I'm really, really sorry, guys. I'm not feeling very well, so I'm gonna end it here. Hopefully Tuesday's session will be able to make up for this mess.

I can't even remember what I wrote anymore.
