Previously:
San Diego is wiped out by a tidal wave, a young man caught in the deluge as the city is erased by what some might consider the very wrath of god in a world with a sky of endless colors. Snatched from the brunt of the wave, the young man faces an inhuman creature of humanoid form that strikes out his eye to deliver onto him the gift of magic by means of the followers.

Praise be to Susej they say. These followers.

Selfish in his means of survival, a young man rallies with these people for his own safety as the government seeks to keep the truth of the world under wraps, that magic exists and that people like the followers are throwing it into chaos.

Sent on a mission to liberate people captured for conscription based on their awakening to magic, he journeys with others to meet with a woman planted for this very purpose, finding adversity on the way.

Having left a trail all too easy to follow, he's been captured and taken to the very place he'd been looking to gain access, though not exactly on his own terms...

Recently rescued by unknown allies, the young man takes on a new alias “Faust” to help him lay low.

You are Faust, welcome to Over(human)Limit S2
>>
>>35137172
It's alive
>>
The mirror lays black before you, a circle of dubious alchemical origin laid out before you with characters twinkling like stars in a midnight sky. The characters gleam as the man speaks through the threshold. His voice is old and wise though in possession of a certain kind of spirit, like that you might see in the eyes of an elder that's seen it all.

Yet then he asks for you to introduce yourself.

“I've started to go by Faust. Names Asher, but I don't know if I really want to keep that.”

An amused laugh precedes, “So you felt a need to change it, did you? Why? And why would you choose my own name?”

You tell him your story, laying it all bare. The recount is detached, an unwillingness to try to remember the vivid detail of all that's happened. The wave, the followers, Asherah and Lucifer. You figure it couldn't hurt. You haven't really been able to talk to anyone about it.

There's Emilia, but she's too involved. There's Saph, but she's too unnerving for your taste. Too much like friend right down to the color of her power separated by only a few shades.

Faust listens diligently, asking questions here and there. He's courteous without necessarily being kind. You can tell that he's prodding here and there for the parts that interest him but not with any insistence or demand.

It's like talking to a grandfather or something.

He's interested in the whole case with Lucia, “So in the end you stole fire from a god?” An uproar of laughter breaks through the communication. “And you flaked from an agreement with a devil!” He calms down from the high.
“Are you trying to mantle me or something? With that eye I'd wager Old Odin would be interested. At least, if you were more inclined for wisdom.”
Faust clears his throat, “So this is who my unlikely guest is. What did you seek from me? Entry to my library? Knowledge and power?”
>>
>>35137232
You shrug, playing it off as nothing especially important, “Pretty much. I'm being chased by a fallen angel that has sway with judeo-christian demons and I figure who else to turn to?” You steady your gaze on the symbols.
“Not sure exactly where else to turn from here. It's been a while since I've even sort of been on my own... But I'm with a group called Zeitgeist now.” Thinking for a moment, you go ahead and ask...

“Is it possible for a human to ascend into a god?”

Faust is silent for a moment. “Zeitgeist. Spirit of the times. Sounds like a revolutionary group, eh?”
There's a silence shared between the two of you.

Broken by the real Faust's laughter, “Yes. There is a way to ascend into a deity. It can happen to places, animals of repute, and people. If you ask that question I must assume that you know that this is a time where legends can most certainly be made.”

“What do you know about all this?”

“More than we have time for. I have business to attend to and I sense that you'll be waking soon. Call for me at the end of the week. Goodbye... Erm... What should I call you?” The man chuckles, “Shame on you for using my name.”

“Just call me... Asher. Yeah, Asher Faust sounds good.” You decide and the man seems to accept that.

“Johann Georg Faust. Say that next time. Farewell young alchemist.”

The image upon the mirror fades and you wake up to the comfort of Emilia at your back, one of her arms curled under yours, clutching at your chest. She must have moved at some point.

The fashion show is later in the week, you have time to devote to summoning, and practicing some other spells or speaking with Dorothy. You feel that the Witch has a number of answers that you seek concerning magic. And then there's the case of getting her to give you a portal bag... Reaching her is just about any door away, right?

>[] Visit Dorothy. You've got questions to ask.
>[] Train your magical talents. Might be able to invite others along to see their progress.
>[] Practice ritual magic... Might as well jump into it feet first. You need to get a reliable summon after all.
>[] Ask Saph some questions, you don't know enough about what's going on or even why a fashion show.
>[] (Other)

>>35137312
>[] Practice ritual magic... Might as well jump into it feet first. You need to get a reliable summon after all.
We should either try Celtic,Greek or Norse.
I guess since we're more neutral now we could attract something/one that isn't a complete dickbag
>>
>>35137334
>more neutral now
This is true.
>>
>>35137312
>[] Practice ritual magic... Might as well jump into it feet first. You need to get a reliable summon after all.
I want a new summon and Asmodeus isn't going to stop me
>>
>>35137312
>[] Visit Dorothy. You've got questions to ask
Maybe we could find a copy of Alchemy for Dummies so Faust doesn't think we're a total dumbshit when he starts to train us
>>
What do you guys think of modifying the baby hydra instead of going for something entirely new?

We need to get rid of it anyway, at least as it is now, and a new summon would be pretty ok, so this kills two birds with one stone.

>>35137312
How many days until the end of the week?
>>
>>35137312
>[] Practice ritual magic... Might as well jump into it feet first. You need to get a reliable summon after all.
What could possibly go wrong
>Johann Georg

It would have fitted better

5.
>>
>>35137312
>[] Ask Saph some questions, you don't know enough about what's going on or even why a fashion show.
We need to ask what the deal with Marcus is. Our divination session showed that Saph thinks he's the biggest fucking monster ever, but we haven't seen him do more than be a cranky asshole. I don't want to get blindsided by some crazy shit out of nowhere.
>>
>>35137425
Which day is it again?
How long until Halloween?
We either need to have a bunker or ride the flow
>>
>>35137410

Lava. Lets turn it into a lava hydra dragon thing.

We can totally do that.

Inb4 Asmodeus keeps hijacking out summonings.
>>
>>35137312
Since it looks like we're about to try to summon something,

CIRCLES, MOTHERFUCKER. CIRCLES AND RUNES AND BINDING WARDS ON WARDS ON WARDS.

Make them recursive fractals and incorporate the seal of Solomon a few times because I'm fucking paranoid.
>>
>>35137544

Not anymore. At least, not the judeo-christian ones. Demons like Donner would work, but we don't want anything that could be influenced by Luci.
>>
>>35137720
>She really did a good job making us into her
A bit too good
>>
>>35137720
She picked her champion a tad too well, it seems.

Nigger donneth is useful as shit and he ain't no demon, I kinda wanna get a Minotaur now, big fucker that can tank hits while we play artillery, actually a non shit hydra would be good for that, they are nigh unkillable bastards
>>
>>35137711
If we ever do summon demons the contract needs to explicitly state that they are never to speak of their time in our service to any but those we explicitly tell it to.

>>
>>35137733

>>
Remember to get something that's not weak to fire or cold iron(this includes steel here) this time.

Both Donneth and Morgan have some overlapping weaknesses and we don't want all our summons to suffer from the same things.
>>
Guys I know you don't want to do it now, but can we please agree to ask Saph about Marcus later? I really, /really/ don't want to get surprised by something with him once missions actually start.

>>
>>35137944
Then it's metaknowledge that we can't act on in quest if we find anything at all. You're also disregarding that the problem might be with Marcus himself at a more fundamental level than what powerset he chose. A crazy fucker with a shotgun is just as likely to kill you as a crazy fucker with a bomb. Finding out the history of Marcus' weapon is less important that figuring out what flavor of crazy he is.
>>
>>35137994
>we can't act on
Anon do you know how much meta bullshit we have acted on so far? You can't even count all the shit we've acted on that was meta as hell
>>
>>35138190
We can still pick the choices based on meta knowledge, but what Asher does will be different. If we figure out what Marcus is OOC vs IC, what happens will be very different.

>>
[x] Practice ritual magic... Might as well jump into it feet first. You need to get a reliable summon after all.
>>
>>35138373
We're not his inner monologue, we're a tiny tiny subtle little astral thing that pushes his actions down different paths which he could have ended up taking on his own. Asher's knowledge pool is separate from the players even though there is a lot of overlap in terms of content.
>>
Okay sorry about just now coming back in.

After breakfast you knock on the door. Three knocks for the rule of three, three moments and then, “Blessed Be.” The door opens and you're in Dorothy's shop.

Solace stares silently at your passing from his pillow upon a stool, something of a knowing air about the feline. He's not as testy as before, wonder why?

“Welcome! You came again! How are those focii treating you?”

You scratch your chin a bit, thinking about exactly how to word this, “Well, incidentally, it seems that the amulet was a bit too ripe with sexual energy and it confounded my senses-” What the hell is coming out of your mouth? You can't help but to keep smiling. “- and I ended up sharing more than just a bed with a significant other. The dagger-” You look down at your arm, Hydra stitched it up good and used her blood to accelerate healing. It still stings like a bitch. “Seems to have a penchant for killing.”

Dorothy seems thoughtful for a moment as she brings a nail to press lightly against painted violet lips,”Such a shame. Perhaps they were not meant for you? Well, more the dagger really. The amulet worked wonders.” A knowing, coy smile draws itself across her lips.
“What do you come here for now?”

“I would like to know about runes, Norse ones, if you're privy..”

Dorothy smiles, stepping from behind the counter, she moves a curtain of beads into another section of her shop, “This way, my dear...”

She offered runic stones, a book of runes translating their meaning and descriptions, and finally a small effigy of a raven cut from Ashwood. All of this in exchange for one service.

“So about these services if I might ask... Is there any restriction on what you would demand of me?”

Probably because Asher can only fake politeness as well as any mediocre politician. We may be polite, it doesn't mean we're genuine.

It's not the contract that's speaking. Asher's the one coming up with this shit, he's just being compelled to come up with it by the contract.
>>

>>35140667
He's a douche. The only time he's been even remotely polite was the first time he met Asherah, and that went out the window fast as fuck.

Dorothy cackles out loud, like a witch you'd say, but there's something admirably attractive in tune of her voice. “Well, it's nothing that would endanger your life normally. I will not ask for eternal service or anything like that. I abide by the rule of three after all, and I'd have good come back to me- no. My services will be participation in ritual and spellwork, the possible collection of a non-contracted debt to be paid, the creation of circumstance for exceptional crafts and so forth. I run a business after all and your abilities are a commodity.”

“But how do you afford...?” You look around, the shop's like an antique store filled to the brim with magic and furnished with simple yet exquisite displays. Running a charity couldn't possibly-

“Sometimes I request a donation. Some of my clients are rather wealthy.”

“Right... Well thank you Dorothy, have a good day Solace.”

“Stay healthy Customer.” The cat says as he snoozes away, eyes pressed shut.

You almost reach out to touch him, but his eyes snap open and a low rumble boils at the back of his throat, “Don't.”

After waiting for nightfall, you take the dimension door out to the woods. You still don't know where this is. You pull your clothing a bit tighter, shivering with cold on your breath as a wind blows past. Emilia, Echo, and Hydra are with you to watch over the process.

You know that you could never sustain the summoning of Odin... But you could always ask for a recommendation...
>>
>>35140841

A circle drawn, runes set and the ashen raven placed in the center to be meditated upon. You take a breath and concentrate, slipping into the astral world, you see your boundaries set. Whatever will be summoned shall be contained by the intent of the circle. You inscribed runes for peace, law, protection, and balance. You don't want some psycho prick this time.

“Hey, I want to talk to Odin!” You call out into the ether and your words carry on a great distance.

After a while, a shadowy figure forms before you, a single shining eye. “Ye who doth not have entry yet to Asgard, what dost thou-”

“Not even Asherah talked to me like this. Is that really necessary?”

The figure smirks, “Nay. It is not. What can I do for you as a kin of sacrifice?”

“I'm looking for power and friends. I was wondering what you could do for me.”

“And it would be trade of what you could do for me.”

Of course, you can't help but to roll your eyes here in the astral, always something... “What'll it be? I'm used to this anyway.”

Odin offers a sly grin, “You've been touched by the gestalt of Loki and Lucifer, your Lucia. Honestly, I'm more interested that you've gone from them to seek me out.”

“Yes?” You cross your arms. Where is this going...”

“You've done a some foul things, at least by the purview of others. I understand their necessity and the cause for such action. I will not hold your past against you. However.”

Always some catch. “I will ask that you have a warrior's decency. Do not desecrate the dead and have some dignity. This is no contract, but know that this is what I'd expect of someone requesting my patronage.”

“That's it?”

Odin nods, “That is it. We may drink another time. Though I will give you the gift of a companion.”

“A companion?” You raise an eyebrow, “So long as I can form a contract.”

“We can arrange that.” Odin smiles. He sounds out a whistle with fingers gathered in his mouth, and the astral heavens part for a beauty in shining armor to fall between the two of you. Landing upon glorious white sabatons, she salutes with blonde hair, blue eyes and a winged helm beset upon a young face.

“This is a young Valkyrie that's yet to earn her steed, Legna.” Aron Nora

“It Is good to meet you sir, I shall offer you my sword and shield!” Her confidence despite apparent youth is apparent.

“This is it? A new recruit?” You say with a near scowl. You're ungrateful, and sure. It's a pain in the ass. You expected something... something more.

“Don't you worry. She's plenty fierce for the trials you have ahead of you. Her youth and lack of legend lean her to be simple to summon. Her shield is strong, and her blade is sharp. With a warrior's spirit she lends herself to be swift as the wind and as flexible as a bending river. She will help you become a warrior of legend and aid your cause as you shape her into a true Valkyrie.”

I mean we might as well give it a shot. Not taking her is like spitting in his face. If she doesn't work out we can change our mind then.

We can probably subtly influence/thoughtform her a bit since she doesn't have her own legend, so moralfaggotry warrior code shit shouldn't be an issue, at least in the long run.

But for the record, I vehemently oppose waifuing this bitch.
>>
>>35141667
>waifuing summons
>not going to blow up in our face

So what are we going to do for the contract? Standard "don't kill/attack me or my allies" and then tack on a bit about keeping things secret if we ask her to?

Should we require that she not leave us to bleed out on the ground should we become injured? Could offend her some that we think so lowly of her, but I would like at least one of our summons to be obligated to save our dumb ass and not be able to just leave us to die if they want us gone and the opportunity presents itself.

We probably need to include a clause about how when her honor feels violated, she can't interfere, and should just fuck off instead.

All that depends on what her personality is like though. We definitely need to have a clause saying she can't fuck with Donner. I feel like she's gonna have a problem with him. Son't particularly give a shit how she feels about Morgan because I'd honestly like this Valkyrie here to keep an eye on her anyways.

“Sure, I'll take her. I guess I'll talk to you later?”

Odin nods slowly, a grin upon his weathered face, “Yes, we will. May you find some honor in your heart, and mind that Legna does have her own feelings.” The raven feathers disperse, one taking a shining eye as they melt into the ether.

All that's left here is the beautiful Valkyrie that stares back at you with a mix of determination and appraisal in her eyes, “There is something I would first like to ask.”

“What?”

“I would like to be able to send the dead on their way during moments of peace. I guess it would be okay if it were only the ones that fell by my blade.” Her eyes shift and you get a feeling of what's going on.

Odin seemed cool with what we did. He said it was fucked up, but he gets why we did it and it's less fucked up if you consider the circumstances.

So long as we don't start forcing her to bark like a dog or eat dirt or smack her around for stress relief, we'll probably be fine.
>>
>>35143079
Camradare implies equality. The very nature of our contract prohibits equality thus she is not a comrade. She is a tool. Q
>>
Y'all think she's going to be rank 2, 3, or 4 when we summon her initially?

For reference: Baby hydra is rank 1, Donner was rank 2, Donneth is (Nora was) rank 3, Morgan is (Fara was) rank 4
>>

She needs atleast 3 to materialize if I remember correctly

“This that good counsel?” You say, an amused smirk parting your profile. “I'll adhere to your second request so long as they offer me mutual dignity and respect. That fair?”

She nods, from her kneeling position, “Very.” She seems to think of something for a moment, “What should I call you?”

A good question... Lord or master are too condescending... With a sigh, you realize that some time ago you would've jumped on that. Well...
“Faust is fine.” If you're using that as a last name... well, yeah, just formal enough.

“Faust then. I, Legna Aeirth will be your sword and shield till we part ways.”

The contract is finished and you awaken with the Ephemeral Valkyrie standing at your side materialized within the confines of the circle. “Where you walk, so too shall I.”

You break the circle and her form is released back to the ether.

Xix looks a bit concerned, yet more intrigued. Echo seems thoughtful and Emilia asks you straight away what all that was about...
You've still got a few days before the fashion show. Saph says that Zeitgeist will be participating in the Fashion show. She hasn't really told you what it'll entail exactly but it seems like you'll be doing more than just watching...

We need an army.
Also rework that piece of shit we called contract
>>
>>35143487
>“Where you walk, so too shall I.”
Does that mean if someone looks at us in the astral, they can see faint hints of her presence nearby? That sounds pretty badass if we have the outlines of her+Donneth+Morgan around us.

Anyway, what kind of practice would the magic practice be? Would it trigger a second vote?

Why do we need a fire based summon? We kick ass with fire for much less burn
>>
>>35143567
>Have morgan help?
Probably, but I'd rather she didn't. If she helps with it, the hydra will take on fae weaknesses and I don't want 3 of our summons to have a weakness to iron and steel.

>[] Practice magic (Trigger montage.)
I think it's time for the iceboard.

If we do the magma thing I want Marcus around.

Nobody said wizarding was easy. Still, let's take every precaution.
>>
>>35143487
What would the magic practice be?

I remember that you said Asher hasn't had much (any) practice with using Alchemy for combat applications, so could we do that? Or maybe see what the wand does for Hydro since it's supposed to boost that too?
>>
>>35143622
I'm thinking we have Asher and Emilia make a big fucking pit to do the summoning in. This thing is going to be a mess.
>>
>>35143624
>inb4 it uses ice to attack and we break that one oath

>>35143487
What are our burn levels like right now?
>>
>>35143586
Can anyone else help? Where would we gain the skills to improve current summons?
I would look into improving the ravens in some way.
And when upgrading the Hydra make sure we give it intelligence after the fact of the contract. Make an iron clad contract.
>>
>>35143646
>Where would we gain the skills to improve current summons
We already know how to do it. We improved Donner on our own, then Morgan offered to take him on the wyld hunt and that was a second change.
>>
Sorry.

Magic Practice will have a second vote and cover areas asked about and voted for.
You'll also test out the wand.

Turning the Hydra into magma will be messy. Real messy.
>>
>>35143633
>emilia
No.
>>
>>35143578

>Real messy.
Do you mean in terms of landscape destruction, magical strain, or it's going to attack us or what?
>>
>>35143633
Definitely gonna second a big fucking pit if we go through with Hydra transformation.

>>35143665
...
I'll note that you tried to warn us.
>>
>>35143665
Would making it into magma really change its effectiveness much? Seems like a waste of time to me
>>
>>35143668
Yes you mongoloid she has geo. She can help with making a pit.
>>
>>35143668
Jesus Christ, anon. Stop being such a chode about things just because you don't like her. She's already here and she has geokinesis. If we need to dig a pit, she should help.
>>
Isn't magma so hot that it will ignite anything within something like a dozen meters? And aren't we in a forest?
>>
So our reasoning for a magma hydra is that magma is better than water? This seems like a shit idea to me.
>>
Okay... so magic practice seems to have won.
>>
>>35143657
could you elaborate on that?

Also we could upgrade Ravens to Crows apprently they are as smart as 7-10 year olds. Should be better to gather more information.
and
Crows are associated with war and death in Irish mythology. In Cornish folklore crows are associated with the "otherworld" and so must be treated with respect. In Australian Aboriginal mythology, the crow is an ancestral being. In Buddhism the protector of the Dharma is represented by a crow in one of his physical/earthly forms.
>>
>>35143734
alchemy!
>>
>>35143756
>could you elaborate on that?
It's exactly what I said. After we took the hex off Donner, we modified him. Changed him from "vicious animal" into "cunning hunter". Then afterwards Morgan asked if we wanted her to do a tad more to him, so she took him on the wyld hunt. When he came back, he was some kind of knight of winter / hunter hybrid thing.
>>
>>35143756
I'm pretty dure that ravens are about as smart as crow
>>
>>35143756
Crows a shit
Ravens a best
>>
>>35143724
I think the idea was that the hydra is useless as it is, and we don't really have a raw power / damage summon, and magma is better than water for raw damage and would fuck up most things just by its presence.
>>
>>35143724
I just want to... DO something with the damn thing, even if we get rid of it.

>>35143734
In a related note, it'd be kinda cool if we finally had some kind of contact with the waitress. I feel like it could make a good scene for Asher trying to stumble through that awkward shit, but mostly I just want to get it out of the back of my mind.
>>
>>35143850
>implying Asher cares
She's enlightened now, she should be thankful
>>
>>35143850
I think our baby hydra is doing just fine in astral limbo
>>
>>35143871
I know Asher wouldn't care, which is why I'm asking Dranzy to actually make an encounter happen against his will. I know damn well Asher wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole, but I think it would be interesting if he HAD to.
>>
Anyone else thinking we should blow some ZG money on a summoning room? Metal circles inlaid into stone walls, circles in circles in circles, runes on runes on runes. Get the whole place blessed by as many religions and cultures as we can. Etc.
>>
>>35143942
Problem is that our main method for getting the summons out of the circles has been to just break them.

So we'd need some switches to move the circle parts kinda like railroad tracks.
>>
>>35143942
We'd just accidentally summon another fallen angel and they'd break everything.
>>
>>35143942
Circles on all the i ward facing walls. Outside absolutely covered in protective runes and other shit. It could also serve as a panic room to hide from whatever we pissed off

The next few days you deign to practice magic, taking the wand in hand, you practice with Emilia, and Echo in the woods, Hydra not too far, just watching at everyone do their own thing.

You head down to the river as a means of strengthening your connection with the power of water. In short time you find that any water wielded by the wand blackens as though polluted. As you turn it into ice it's frail and brittle, crumbling with the slightest contact.
Conversely, it explodes into superheated steam when you deign to heat it. A whiff and you can tell that it's kind of noxious, the slight smell of sulfur and smoke...

The effects the wand has on Fiend are... Wild to say the least. Once the first fiend is cast it rampages out of control. Without a target it ends after 3-5 detonations. When you turn it on a tree it passes its flames around it leaving it unharmed. Yet then you turn it to a stone and it continues until it's destroyed.

The Black Wand is dangerous, almost as though it has a mind of its own- for the destruction of everything but plants. You're hesitant to tamper with whatever energy's effecting it. Who knows what other effects it could cause?

Over this time you train your alchemy skill and the others join you: Henry's out here practicing with a bow enchanted with the power of his soul. Arrows flying far and deep, Saph instructing him on alterations such as homing arrows, rope arrows and more.

Emilia's started to test out new methods of projectiles. Shards of frozen blood no smaller than a bullet shed and thrown impacting trees and stone with deceptive force. Splintering wood and shattering even the river stones. She's constantly improving.
>>
Saph is just gonna kill Asher when he asks for all this shit.
>>
>>35144540

Echo's taken more to controlling the will of her spiritual flame. Lacking heat she's been able to use it to block, grab, and even shoot out in short bursts.

Near the last day she sees you attempt an alchemical variation of lightning and immediately sets herself to try replicating it to some avail. Short bursts of sparks here and there, though she quickly grows bored with it, instead trying to do other little tricks.

By the end of the week you're more than a little confident in conversion methods and everyone seems ready.

Updated the wand description if you can copypaste this into there sometime.
>-Blackened Poplar wand: Bears the memory of a forest burned down and the rage of old lands. This wand serves as a focus for spells involving fire and water. Causes use of Fiend to chain multiple detonations until the target is destroyed, though it will avoid plants. Fire is blackened and turns smokey, water polluted, and steam more violent and noxious. Ice formed using the wand is far weaker than normal.
>>

“We'll be taking the place of models for Eloc's company.” Is the first thing that Saph says during the debriefing.

A million questions run through your mind concerning the implications. She gets to the “why” quickly enough.

“They'll be showcasing prototype models of various new fashions, technology, and textiles that are set to be mass produced or the government and private sector. These pieces will be vital in enhancing our performance and making a part of us known. This does not mean to show your faces. The equipment will feature full coverage. In the final showing you will all walk off stage and Eloc will declare you thieves.”

“So we're procuring equipment illegally to avoid him being affiliated with us.” You say, stating the fact for everyone else.”

“Exactly.” Saphira confirms.

You can't help but to smirk a kind of smug grin, “What in the world would be worth stealing when we have magic?

“A suit that makes a burning building feel like a spring day, armor that can stop a bullet dead, an augmentation that can increase a normal human's agility to beyond human level, and those are just a few.”

“So?” You're really failing to see the point here.”

Saph's eyes lock on you, smiling, “It's good for nerves especially.”

Right.

So you're going to be up on stage... Really, what's the worst that can happen at a fashion show?

>[End Thread]

Sorry about the slow rate, gonna do another thread sometime late during the week and at a regular time on Friday. Had some issues during this run aside from the typical clog up during a summoning thread which really didn't occur this time.

>A suit that makes a burning building feel like a spring day
Well that's kinda useful I guess. Should be really useful when/if we try to mod the hydra.
>>
>>35145219
Saph seems to think we are gonna do anything ourselves. Summoning and long range magic somehow gave her this impression. I don't like the idea of her being a god

Considering our track records on engagement, I'd rather have this stuff than not have it. We've not been too good at not getting into close range shit.

At the very least, it should stop us from blowing ourself up again like when we tried to use Knight in a room full of methene.
>>
>>35145257
That was my first thought. If we can figure out how to make more of this stuff, then that's fucking amazing.

Copy, improve, incorporate into our biology, add more shit on top of that.
>>
>>35145263
No it won't, fire proof isn't explosion proof, we are still gonna crack our head open

It's more to the point of giving an answer to, "Why do they have our gear but BETTER?"

And keeping suspicion at a minimum.
>>
>>35145352
What? The only reason we're doing this roundabout is because these are suits made only by Eloc and we're going to be wearing them for missions where people will see them used. They don't want the suits, and this Eloc, being associated with Zeitgeist.

That's totally different from a secret lab that nobody but Zeitgeist and our test subjects will ever see.

FUCK. I forgot to post this idea during the thread when we did magic training. If anyone else thinks this is a good idea and wants to try to set it up, try to remember it for next thread.

Anyway, here it is: One of the main benefits to using summoning for spell programming is that it can detect things in the astral. It's how the hypothetical Wisp programs would work; they'd target astral signatures and chase them. I figured that we could take advantage of this and make an early warning program. Something that scans the astral around us and beeps at us if it sees a spell about to go off near us. Something like an astral spidey sense.
