Last time one LHQ:
You, Anthony Grant/Ambrosis, had decided to take the long way to get to Big Apple, not that you could have taken the short route, at least that is what you concluded: Giant tanks and dense forests probably don't to like each other very much.

Later you found yourself in the city of Pueblo, taking in all the sights.

There, you spoke with Grandma Spider, an old, giant spider-lady. She told you about star-water, a strange substance that glows like starlight during the night, and that is when you began asking her questions.

Now:
You look up to the decrepit woman and ask, “I don't suppose you have any extra star-water laying around?”

She shakes her head. “No, I'm sorry, deary, I already used all the star-water I had to decorate the town.”

“Ah. So you used to collect the stuff back in the day?”

“Oh, no, deary. I was simply allowed to take the my left over star-water home.”

“What?”

“Oh, long before all of my children were born I helped make all the stars in the sky.”

“Like... The star... stars?”

“Yes. Oh, it was such fun to be with so many people like me. Previous to my children, I thought the only people like me were Coyote, Wolf, Ra-” She stops and smiles, “I'm sorry. I shouldn't list them all, or else we will be here for so long.”

“Ah. So, there are spiders in the sky making stars?” You try not to think of a night sky filled with scurrying spiders.
>>
>>35173199
“Hm? Oh, no. I mean...” She silently ponders for a while, “Special? Ancient? I am not sure how to describe it. We are not dwarves or elves or humans or alvs or beastmen. We are Different. We are not like the Chivalric Orders, but we are also not Beast-men: we predate both. Helpers of the gods?”

“So, you and a bunch of other animal-people got a bunch of star-water together built the stars?”

“Not all of them were animals and not all of them used star-water. One man dreamed stories and threw the stories into the sky where they took the shapes of the characters. One woman took all the wood she could find and made a giant fire so her tribe would always be warm.” She smiles with a look of nostalgia. “There were so many different people there. I wish I could see them all again.”

“So...” You interrupt her nostalgia, “How do you find fallen stars?”

“Watch the sky.” She says with a nod, “I'm sure you could find someone to do that for you, but it is more fun to do it yourself.”

“Ah. I see.” That was not what you wanted to hear, but it is not like you can raise a complaint. “So, what do you think about... flying ships?”

“Flying ships?” She inquires.

“Yes. Flying ships.” You say with a smile. “You see, right now, I have a land-ship, a ship that sails across land instead of water.”

“You must have some strong rowers.”

“Our rowers are fire, water, and lightning, so, yes, VERY strong rowers.”

She nods, “Those ARE strong rowers.”
>>
>>35173210
“Yes, but the ship only goes across the ground. I want a ship that can go through the air!”

“I would love to help you, dearie, but I cannot control the wind nor the birds.”

“Oh, I don't need wind or birds to fly. I need spider silk. Lots of it.”

“I'm sorry, dearie, but no amount of webbing will reach the sky.” She responds, “We've tried before.”

You take a moment to imagine what it was they could have possibly tried, but you vanish the thought and simply continue with, “That wasn't my idea. I need the silk to build a giant balloon.”

“Balloon?”

“It's like... A big sphere that holds helium and floats.”

“Floating silk? Oh, you just need gossamer, dearie. That's not too hard to get.”

“So, how would you feel if your people were the first to traverse the sky?” You ask.

“I'm sorry, dearie, but the wind was made for the younglings, not old ladies like me.”

“Well, with an air-ship, ANYONE could be able to fly. Not just younglings.”

She gives a small chuckle and says, “I would love to feel young like that again, but a body like mine needs to stay on the ground.”

“Well, if you could help me get all the materials, I could teach you all how to make sky-ships, and then your people- All of Pueblo would really become a hub city for air-ship travel! There would be people coming from all over to here and there! You'll be like Atlanta, except without Dragoncon.” You think a moment about what Atlanta would be like without a reason to go there. “We'll probably need a good reason for people to spend time here, though, but you could still make a lot of money off of just having people going from here to there and everywhere.”

“That sounds exciting.” She responds, “Do you think I will see that story teller again if we do this?”

You shrug. “Maybe? I mean, it really depends on how far we can get. Helium is really small, chemically, so it will probably be able to escape through just about any material. It would be a question of how far we can get before enough of the gas escapes that the ship sinks.”

“Helium?”

“It's... It's a really light gas that floats upwards, so if you capture enough of it, it can pull whatever is containing it up. Get more and it can pull more things up. Like people.”

“If the gas floats up, how will we get it down?”

“Well, it doesn't come from the sky.”

“Then where does it come from?”
>>
>>35175233
You lift a finger to make your point, but suddenly realize you have no idea where helium comes from. It's a noble gas, so it's not like it can be gathered from chemical reactions like hydrogen can. Maybe there are patches of it trapped underground like oil? “It's trapped under the earth. I think.”

“Ah!” She nods, seeming to understand, “It's from the previous world. And I guess the gas that escapes here goes to the next as well!”

“Uhh... Sure.” You begin to wonder if you could even GET helium. You know it had to come from SOMEWHERE on Earth. We've had balloons before we had rocket ships, but other than that you know nothing. “I'll have to talk to a friend of mine to get the better details of the plan, but other than that...” You try to think of what to ask next. “How are the <Morning Star> treating you? I mean, they never really felt right to me. The whole hanging thing always felt a little extreme to me.”

“They are very respectful to Landers.” She responds. “But I'm not sure about how they treat Adventurers. We have agreed to stay out of eachother's business for the most part.”

You rub your chin. “I guess that is the most I could hope for.”

She gives you a bitter sweet smile. “I know it may seem strange, but some times things like that are needed to keep most people safe.” She looks away. “At least, that is how I have to view it.”

“What do you mean?”

She looks back to you, “I had to come to that conclusion or else I would need to fight against Adventurers, and if I did that, I would have lost all of my children by now.”
>>
“What do you mean?”

“If my more rebellious children hadn't been...” She pauses. “Dealt with... there would have been a war between us and the other Landers. The Adventurers were not on our side of that conflict. They would not be on our side if we sought revenge.”

You suddenly remember Lilac telling you about the dungeon that was Adventurers putting down the spider-people rebelion. You are very glad that you never went to that dungeon.

She sniffles and begins to wipe her eyes. “Oh, I'm sorry, dearie. I started talking about something sad. Let's change the subject to something happier.”

“Uhhh...” You try to think of something to change the subject to.

You decide to start off simple. “So, what do you think about us now that we can talk and stuff?”

“Oh, I like you all much better this way.” She responds, “I mean no offense, but before you were all very strange, you all gave me blankets, so I knew you all weren't bad.”

She actually received all the blankets from back when it was a main quest!? “How man blankets do you have?”

“Oh, I lost count after they filled up all of the closets.” She chuckles, “It's funny. When an Adventurer first gave me a blanket I told him it was too tiny and I'd need at least a thousand sewn together. He didn't say anything, of course, but this is what happens when you say something like that.”

“Ah. They were really cheap back when the economy was going.” You pause. “Do you have any ideas on what to do with that?”

“I'm sure things will turn back around in time. Adventurers love buying and selling things.”

“I'm not so sure things are still that way now.”

“Are you so sure? You bought me a blanket. The only thing that seems to have changed is we speak now.”

“Perhaps for you, but the person who sold me that told me no one was buying them anymore. I don't think Adventurers are interested in the same things anymore, if anything at all.”

“Then what would you recommend?”

“Silk underwear. It's gonna be big.”

“Underwear?”

“It's something you wear under your clothing to keep your sensitive bits warm and keep them from flopping around too much.”

“Sensitive bits?”

You mime the anatomy you were referencing.

The old lady nods, now knowing what you meant.
>>
>>35178272
You nod as well, but can't help feel awkward now that you've just grabbed your junk in front of an old lady. “So... Have you heard about Coyote and the First Man?”

“I certainly know of that old story, dearie. I can tell it to you, if you want.”

“No, I mean what happened recently. Coyote revived the First Man.”

“O-oh....”

You tilt your head to the side slightly. “Is something wrong?”

“Hm? Oh. No, I'm sure things will turn out fine this time.” She puts on a reassuring smile. “We all learn from our mistakes, dearie.”

“What mistakes?”

“He-” She shakes her head. “It doesn't matter.”

“Uhh... okay...” You have no idea what's going on right now.

Sh yawns. “I'm sorry, dearie, but I'm feeling a bit tired now. You wouldn't mind if I leave you to take a nap, would you?”

“Oh, no. That's fine. I should probably check up on some things in the mean time.”

“Okay, dearie. Be sure to talk to me tomorrow about your sky-ships.”

You nod and turn to leave.

We don't know...maybe if someone has a fire resist type spell, we could imbue it in the silk...
>>
>>35180731
spider silk doesn't actually burn, mind. When a web catches fire, it's the dust collected that is on fire. Fresh web is a little damp, actually. What's really happening is that spider silk has a very high heat:expansion ratio, so the web becomes so loose it collapses itself.

Relax. It's not like Snow or Cosgrove who abandoned there quests for like a month.
He probably has some things going on right now and from before that put the breaks on the quest for a bit.
>>
>>35181736
Yeah the problem with that is that helium makes up the barest fraction of those deposits. Like 0.02%.

It might be more practical to consider using an ammonia envelope around hydrogen, at least all of the components can be synthesized. Then again this isn't earth, so for all we know there could be colossal reserves of helium underground just waiting to be tapped. Or maybe some fantasy equivalent that's just as light and flame retardant as helium. We'll just have to see what Shep gives us to work with.
>>
We could just use basic hot air since spider-silk is a nonburning material.
Helium would be better as we go along but the basic results of showing what you can do with basic hot air balloons should get the ball rolling on industry to mine helium.

If ancient chinese could farm natural gas and make a vast network to distribute the gas for heat with baboo we can work together with other adventurers to make new infrastructure for the possibility of being sky captains.

You leave the audience chamber and head back through the council room where <Morning Star> white hats continue to discuss finance, completely oblivious to your walking.

“If we can't make a sales tax or a toll, what will we do to raise money?” One of the white hats asks.

“Why do we even need to raise so much money? What are the chances that ANYONE gets enough money for us to care?”

“Because if someone DOES get that much, what's stopping them from just taking over?

“Okay, fine, what is YOUR idea then!?”

“Man, let's jus' calm down now. Ain't no need fer us to to be angry.”

“I!... We need to make a decision. We tax and guarantee our territory OR we don't tax and possibly lose it. If we choose to tax, we find what to tax and don't try to go back.”

You leave before you can hear how the rest of the council responds.

Walking through the streets you decide to check up on Lilac. She would be needed to make blueprints of the air-ships.

Down some ladder and onto the main street, you reach the inn in a couple of minutes. Opening the door and heading for a certain room, you knock. Lilac answers the door.

“Oh, hey.” She says, “Something you need?”

“Yes. I need blueprints for an airship and underwear.”

“W.... What?”
“Yeah, that's right. Zeppelins. Grandma Spider said she could provide us with spider silk. Imagine! A spider silk zeppelin~!” You smile. “You know you've always wanted to make something out of spider silk. I'm not even an engineer and I wish I could work with spider silk! It's as strong as steel and weighs almost nothing!”

“It depends on the species, actually.” She informs you, “Most have tensile strength of high-grade steel, which is about half that of Kevlar, but one species actually has a web with a tensile strength ten times that of Kevlar.”
>>
>>35182144
Your jaw drops. “That's amazing.”

“Too bad they aren't in the game.” She squints her eyes in thought. “Maybe.”

You shake your thoughts away from super-powered spider webs and back onto the important part. “So, what do you think? Zeppelin time, fun time?”

She turns around and walks into the room. “I'll get the paper.”

Walking into the room, you spot Judicature sitting on the floor next to a porcelain tea set. You hold up a hand to greet her.

The duelist replies with “Hey.”

You sit down next to her. “Want to help us with something?”

She nods her head excitedly. “Yes!”

“Good. We're trying to make a Zeppelin!”

“I... I don't think I can help, then.”

“Well, I also need someone to help me design underwear.” That probably deserves an explanation. “There is a seamstress in town that agreed to make underwear if I can teach her how to make underwear.”

“I... I guess I could do that. It doesn't seem like it'd be too hard.”

“Great! I don't know about you, but I know just about everyone's missing their underpants right about now. Especially the guardians. I don't want to imagine getting pinched down there by the plates.” You wince because you made the terrible mistake of imagining it.

She looks away from you, face turning red. “We'll... probably need someone to model for it.”

“Oh, don't worry about it.” You say, “The seamstress will be the one actually making it. We're just telling her how it's made.”
>>
>>35182166
“Yeah, but we need to make it to know we've made it right, right?”

You shrug. “I guess.”

“She has a point.” Lilac adds, “You'll need to model for us so we know how to make proper underpants.”

“Me?” You ask.

“Yup.” Lilac says.

“Actually...” Judi begins, but she is quickly cut off by Lilac putting a hand over her mouth.

“You probably won't be interested!” Lilac continues for Judi, “Unless you really believe in this plan.”

“Of course I believe in the plan!” You respond.

“Well, for us to make something really accurate, you'd need to take off the robes.” She looks to Judi. “That makes sense, right?”

The duelist, mouth still covered, nods over and over.

Lilac removes her hand and adds, “It's science; you can't know how to design for something you don't have data on.”

“Science.” Judi agrees.

You look down to your armor and robes.“Uhhh....”

what is this i don't even
>>
The funny thing about this is we don't have the proper hips for this unlike women so the girls are only ruining their future panties.
>>
>>35182550
I think we're just the male model.

We should get them to model for the female versions.

Both of them, because they have different body types. Women vary more than men in that way, after all.
>>
>3 hours of nothing then a story post followed by a (comparitivly) massive surge of replies over the span of a few short minutes
This playerbase is certainle interesting. Perhaps I'll make an effort to post more rather than simply lurking.
>>
>>35182646
The playerbase is pretty lewd
>>
The thing I like the best about this?
In the anime I half watched the adventurers really liked freedom. I'm pretty sure a bunch of people who like freedom will love that they're free to wear frilly panties if they want to.
>>
>>35182646
TinyShep runs one of the best quests on here. Occasional leads with an interesting story.
>>
>>35182253
hopefully she will repay the favour
>>
>>35182880
>>35182705

I read the quest guys I just tend not to participate or read the player posts
>>
Soo.... what are the chances our brother gets mad that he wasn't the one to wear the frilly panties?
>>
>>35183237
Zilch, why would he be mad?
>>
>>35183237
Just because his boyfriend always dresses him up like a slut doesn't mean he likes to dress up like a slut.
>>
>>35183278
>implying he hasn't been broken and trained to like it
>implying he will not look upon us with envy or at the very least reveal a bit too much understanding of th proper mechanics of frilliness..
>>
>>35183278
Okay but he actually does like being dressed up.
Just not dressed up in public.
>>
>>35183278
>implying he has a boyfriend
>implying he is a faggot
>>
I just thought of something.

Has anyone ever needed to shit?
Or take a piss?

Is that a requirement here?
>>
>>35183363
In the LN they mention needing to piss.

More specifically, Naotsugu comments that Akatsuki probably had problems peeing when she still had a male body because she had to get used to looking at a penis. Or something like that.
>>
>>35183457
... So, do you think she decided to experiment with her new parts before turning girl again?
>>
>>35183363
To follow up: How's the plumbing in here?
>>
We also have to find out whether you can get pregnant. We should experiment a little. For science!
>>
>>35183457
They also mention shitting so yes this is a valid concern and I'm sure there are bathrooms somewhere in the tank.
In retrospect this means we have a ton of fertilizer available for bombs or some sort of fuel source.

There is however no comment on if the adventurers used to pre apocalypse. I'm fairly sure things might get fairly weird there.
>>
>>35183487
Are you thinking what I am thinking?

Are we becoming Mario, the great plumber?
>>
>>35183562
Wait.

What if we invent toilet paper.

Soft fluffy toilet paper made out of silk.
>>
>>35183588
I'll support your idea only if one in every thirty rolls has bits of really sticky webbing in it.
>>
>>35183588
We could just use a duvet or whatever that frenchy thing is called that sprays water to clean it off.
seems simpler for the casters at least but yes some sort of cheap yet soft fabric/material for TP would probably sell an amazing amount.
>>
>>35183588
The strongest, softest toilet paper you've ever had.

Spider Silk Toilet Paper: From a spider's butt to yours.
>>
>>35183635

>>35183649
Mage privileges. Only water mages and summoner can have bidgets.
>>
>>35183672
Hey, if you're going to think up the adlines for it, we're going to have to do it.
>>
>>35183649
It's called a bidet.

A duvet is a quilt.
>>
>>35183685
Or use the holy light of cleansing fire to sear the filth from thine butthole!
>>
>>35183873
Wouldn't be surprised if someone's tried that.

Or if Ambrosis will.
>>
>>35183891
I am all for trying.
>>
>>35184046
The funny thing is adventurers and their greater pain tolerance totally could manage to do that without trouble because finding TP is harder and then chug a potion.
>>
>>35184151
You know what that means. Get the paper mill running boys.

I feel sorry for TinyFather. Now we gone on a tangent for toilet paper after one on underwear after one on steam landships. We are the PCs who can never be herded in the direction of PLOT.
>>
>>35183562
Highly doubt there's a septic system. If anything, it's just a seat that opens up onto the ground.
>>
>>35184306
We could either dig sewers ourselves or give the landers a job titled shit runner.

Think Bubai with its shit trucks.
>>

>>

“Well, I guess that makes sense.” You admit, “But afterwards we're working on the zeppelin plans.”

“I promise.” Lilac responds, handing a sheet of paper to Judi.

“You know,” Judicature mumbles, “You don't... have to...”

You shrug. “It's fine. Putting the economy back on track is more important than being embarrassed.”

“Exactly.” Lilac comments, “This is about something bigger than ourselves.”

You nod in agreement and remove your armor.

You are about to throw off your robes when Judi suddenly blurts out, “Actually, we're doing this backward!”

The dwarf slowly turns her head towards the duelist. “What?”

“I-I-I mean, if you think about it, we need to think of how we will put it together first. Then we'll need to cut out the cloth, and THEN we can see if it works!”

“OR you could get his measurements, I could write them down, THEN we can do all of that stuff.”

Judicature's face goes a deep red, but she does not respond.

“If you're too embarrassed to,” Lilac says, “I could take his measurements instead.” She gives a mischievous smile.

“N-n-no!” The duelist protests, “I can do it!” She pauses. “I mean... What I mean is that I COULD do it if we had measuring tape.”

The dwarf reaches into her bag and from it pulls an even bigger bag? Well, that's game logic for you. The mage tosses the bag onto the floor and says, “There should be something to measure length in there. It's the tailor starter kit.”

You raise an eyebrow at the bag and ask, “Why do you have that?”

“Because if I ever decided to change to a more useful subclass, I would be ready.” Lilac responds, “It's not like I could have planned for something like this to happen.”

You give Lilac a strange look. She's probably telling the truth, but some part of you wonders if you've just been apart of the most convoluted plan since Death Note.
>>
>>35187226
Judicature rummages through the bag and pulls out a strip of measuring tape. She looks to you, then down to the measuring time.

“Alright,” Lilac says, “We'll need to know the length and circumference of his thighs, the length of his waist, and his crotch depth.”

“H-his what!?”

“It's the distance between his waist and his crotch. You know, to make sure he has space.” She smiles, “You can measure other things if you want to make it extra comfortable, though.”

“W-w-what!? No! I mean... not no, but...”

Lilac laughs. “I was only kidding, Judi.” She points to you, “Go ahead and measure him already. We'll be here for hours at this rate.”

You take this time to finally remove your clerical robes.

Judi looks away.

Lilac dawns a thoughtful face and writes something down her paper. You wonder what it was she wrote down.

“Umm...” Judicature says, “I'm going to measure your waist now.”

You glance over to her and see her still looking away. “You know, it'd be easier if you actually looked at what you were doing.”

The blonde gives a quick glace to the measuring tape and calls out your waist size. Lilac writes something down that seems to be more than just the measurement.

“What are you writing?” You inquire.

“Just engineering things.” Lilac replies.

“Like...?”

“You know. Lengths, shapes, that kind of thing.”

You feel the cold tape from your knee to just below your hip. Judicature calls out another measurement.

Lilac writes down some more “Engineering things.” Then she looks up to say, “And his thigh circumference?”

Judi looks away. “Uh... Can't I get something else... like knees, or we could guess, or something?”

“No.” Lilac quickly replies, “It's not the big of a deal, it's just wrapping something around his leg. That just so happens to be close to his crotch. It's not like you're touching anything.”

“I... I know.” Judi responds, “It's just...”
>>
>>35186693
Lilac can't decide whether to look, spur Juli on, or think about finding lighter than air gasses

Juli has shut down. Ambro makes a comment about not giving a fuck.

roll for which of the male party members walks in on this.
>>
>>35187252
“It's fine.” You say, “If you touch anything it's just an accident, right?”

The duelist does not respond. She wraps the measuring tape around your leg and brings the loop up your leg to where your thigh is thickest, which touches your dangly bits.

“Umm...” You say.

She ignores you and simply calls out the measurements before dropping the tape and walking away. “There!” She says, “All of the measurements.”

“Actually.” Lilac says, “You forgot crotch depth.”

“But... How am I supposed to measure that without... touching...” She mumbles something.

“I could just measure myself.” You say, picking up the measuring tape and measuring the distance. You put your thumb on the answer, look at it, and add an extra half inch before telling Lilac.

You put on your robes again and travel over to Lilac to get a glimpse of all the diagrams she is making.

You see four different ways that sheets of cloth can be combines into a pair of boxer shorts. However, certain images boarder the paper that you just feel a distinct need to talk about.

“Why are there stick figures of what I can only assume to be me, naked, in different positions?” You look to Lilac to see her reaction, but she continues to focus on her diagrams.

“I just need to imagine how you'd move.” She responds, “It's important to know that for the design.”

“And the fact that they all have a dick and balls?”

“I need to know how those would move too, or else they would get chafed, right?”

“And the one where I'm flying away with a helicopter dick?”

She stops drawing and looks around the page. “I... thought I erased them all.”

“There were more!?”

She looks up to you, then back to the page. “Maybe.” Then she goes back to drawing the diagrams.

You notice the newest incarnation of her diagram is filled with frills and all you can think to say is, “Frills? Really?”

“Don't like them?” She asks.
>>
>>35187272
“That's more of my brother's thing.”

The mage does a double take. “Wait. Really?”

“You didn't hear it from me.” You respond.

She looks back to the diagram and says, “It was really supposed to be elastic bands, not frills, but... Well, if I ever need to get him a gift, I'll know what to give him.”

You turn to see Judi standing in a corner muttering something. “You okay?” You ask, heading over to her.

She nods, “Y-yeah. It's just... Umm... We'll also need a lady to model after, right?”

“Uh... Yeah.”

“So... You'll need my measurements too, right?”

“I... guess. Yeah.”

Lilac suddenly announces, “Oh, I just remembered, I need to test the tensile strength of the spider webs around town. Ambrosis, you get and write down the measurements on your won right? Right.”

Before you can even say anything, the dwarf is already out the door.
