>For some reason brother Maltheas lives five miles out of town
>Oh wait it’s because he’s an antisocial prick
>Who always leaves me his messes to clean up
>At this point I can’t believe that he’s actually so irresponsible as to leave a demon, and still worse a child, unsupervised for days
>He’s going to have quite a bit of explaining to do when he gets back
>At this point the brat asks me why I’m muttering under my breath
>I’d like to change the subject to why she decided to start associating with brother Maltheas
>Given how out of breath she sounds I decide against it
>The path winds drunkenly through the trees, but I know there aren’t any wolves about anymore
>It’s good to keep your hand in
>I notice that the brat has fallen far behind, hands gripping her wobbling legs as she gulps air
>Probably a good time to switch off to carrying her
>Lift her into a fireman’s carry
>Her bare skin touches mine and I immediately notice how soft it is
>Me: “Do you have to do that every time?”
>Brat: “It’s [huff] reflexive.”
>Me: “It’s disgusting.”
>Brat: “I don’t tell you how [gasp] to do your holy warrior thing…”
>Me: “And you shouldn’t. I am a paladin ordained in the light of the Shining One. We are called upon to conduct righteous acts on the behalf of the downtrodden and innocent.”
>Brat: “You think I’m downtrodden and innocent?”
>Me: “It’s really all that’s kept me from smiting you and burying the body in the woods.”
>She squirms
>Me: “That was a joke. Paladins have lots of jokes. Mostly they’re about smiting the wicked.”
>Brat: “You think I’m wicked?!”

>We finally reach brother Maltheas’ cottage
>The brat has been carrying the lantern for warmth
>Really should have remembered to bring a blanket or something to wrap her in
>Wait a minute…
>Me: “Aren’t your kind resistant to blasts of flame and ice?”
>Brat: “That doesn’t mean it’s comfortable.”
>Shrug, shouldering the door open with sword held aloft
>With brother Maltheas, it especially pays to be prepared
>No hellhounds
>No swarms of sentient bees
>No buckets filled with grey ooze and balanced on the door
>Just a small, one room cottage with the hearth cold
>Find a candlestick left with the candle still in
>Dribbly candles really don’t help convince people that brother Maltheas isn’t a necromancer
>Turn to face the brat, who’s swaying on her feet
>Me: “So.”
>She looks up
>Me: “I saw goats asleep in the pen outside.”
>She nods once
>>
>>35699694
(cont.)
>A pause while I consider what to say
>Me: “Do you go in the pen and set about them, then?”
>Brat: “The goats recognize my scent. I don’t think I could chase one down.”
>Me: “What does brother Maltheas usually do?”
>Apparently he ties one to the gate and lets her feed
>Apparently she gets uncomfortable when she’s watched
>Apparently dear brother Maltheas watches this diabolic display
>Resolve that we will definitely have pointed words, oh yes.
>The sounds of tearing flesh begin and I move inside to start a fire in the hearth
>Yes, a paladin of my standing gets uncomfortable around scenes of dismemberment
>An uncomfortable paladin tends to start charging in with fire and sword
>Have the fire well in hand by the time she comes back in
>It pays to be prepared
>What’s disconcerting is that she seems to be less bloody than when she first turned up on my doorstep

>Me: “Was it, er… filling?”
>Brat: “I am compelled to do evil, regardless of its utility.”
>I guess she is her foster father’s foster daughter
>Me: “I’m not really sure what to make of that, but you don’t seem like an evil creature to me.”
>Brat: “Please. I’m roughly 86% condensed evil from a plane literally made of the stuff.”
>Me: “Oh, don’t get me wrong, you set off every divine sense the Shining One has bestowed upon me.”
>Brat: “And you still haven’t tried to kill me.”
>Me: “My order believes that when the hero Kollus stole the flame out of the moon and made it darken in the sky, he cursed all living creatures with the taint of evil. As such, all paladins of my order see the evil in all things.”
>Brat: “So I don’t look any different to you than anyone else?”
>My divine insight shows her as a black void dripping with sin and howling with corruption
>No more evil than a cassowary with a temper, really
>I tell her as much
>She sits, crestfallen
>Me: “We have to see the actions a creature takes to make any real assessment. Frankly, miss, you’ve done nothing that even carries a whiff of evil since you’ve shown up here.”
>The rest of the night passes in relative silence
>I’m trusting enough to wait with her for brother Maltheas’ return
>I’m not trusting enough to sleep in the same room
>It pays to be prepared in this sort of situation

>Me: "Yes, but you do, um, have parents right? Someone obviously was raising you before brother Maltheas came along."
>The idea of some sort of orphanage for demons is almost too silly to contemplate
>Brat: "I have a mother who gave birth to me and a father who sired me. He is dead; males don't last very long on that level of <the Abyss>. She is also dead. Slain by Maltheas and his band of merry men. Is that sufficient for your purposes?"

It's fun to do this kind of spontaneous flash fiction. Keeps you on your toes.

Do you think the reason there hasn't been any shitposting is because the subtitle is Nonwaifu Edition and there's never anything else to argue about?
>>
>>35707133
I would like to hope so. You're good people anon.
>>
>>35707133

I think people are a bit tired of the "redeemed succubus" nonsense that has been going on for a couple of weeks.

Considering your story is one of a paladin struggling with his morals and his code, it's different enough not to attract the pro/anti shitposters.
>>
>>35707265
I'm sad that people are tired of redeemed succubi, but that's fine. It's an overplayed meme thread, especially with how it ended (Vore succubi? What the fuck...) and with how much vitriol people from either side keep throwing at one another.

I just like writing stories about a little girl and her experiences in a town that begrudgingly tolerates her demonic body.
>>
I would write stuff but I suck at it. the best I did was the first of of >>35704445
>>
>>35707668
I thought you wrote the both of it, man. Seemed pretty flow.

...what the fuck does flow mean.
>>
>>35707133
The problem is that, when you take out the arguments of religion, paladin favoring / shaming, and waifu waifu waifu, people don't have much to argue about. We're just talking about cute / silly / dramatic situations in which demons and paladin's don't act like stereotypes. We're writing about situations where a demon girl fails to make a cake for her adopted dad, or where a paladin of the Shining One saves a demon even though he shouldn't.

Go with the flow, bro. Go with the flow.

Apparently, someone archived the thread on Sup/tg/ as a passive aggressive jab against it:

http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Redeemed+Succubus+Waifu+Greentext+Thread+

When did this become a common something that was done?
>>
>>35746959

It isn't. Refer to >>35707265's post, it's part of the backlash from the "Redeemed Succubus Goddess" wars.

I hate that thread. I'm happy that it got turned around and now half the people that were in it are pissed that they got trolled, but I hate that people are assuming that our stuff is like that.

Most of the demon girls in the stories listed are either repentant, simply mischievous (CN at the worst, CG if it's possible), or evil, but their actions are misunderstood. We don't have anyone pretending to be good for the sake of evil, and none of us are waifu-ing at all.
>>
>>35748181
I ain't even mad that they archived my shit. They also bumped my thread, which was damned decent of them. I think the thought of one of the liliumfags or the berserkerpaladinfags reading it expecting smut at the end will keep me warm for many a night.
>>
>>35748283
They were expecting vore, man. And that's where I draw the line. Besides, I like my stories with no ulterior motives or trolling involved.

Like what you like, but don't bring your trash over to other threads. We already have WST which I parouse and sometimes participate in and other general threads, and there's already a redeemed succubus thread.
>>
>>35748330
Once this got long I felt kind of bad about not just typing it up in advance, throwing it on a pastebin, and posting in that writing critique thread, but hearing feedback the entire way through was really encouraging.

Also vore succubus is my fetish but don't fucking post about it like it's a serious topic and not expect backlash I mean goddamn.
I honestly don't know what smut I would write in this setting honestly
>>
>>35748466
In yours? Well, you don't even need to. I like the paladin questioning his morals, but deciding to help what is clearly a girl trying to repent, in the end. I like the succubus girl struggling with herself, but honestly trying to be good, even if it's against her very core. It's a good thing going on.

Don't worry about not having it prepped. It's good to improv, and I wish I was just a stronger writer so that people would like my stuff as much as they liked yours.

Some people just into autism way too deep. And people were expecting something nice, got trolled, and are now butt mad. It's the cycle of life, really.
>>
>>35748466
It's hard to properly criticize greentext stories since they all the proper grammar, tone setting, and general good writing skills required to make an interesting story. You'll either get people praising your bare bones concept or hating it, since your actual writing skill isn't required.

Quest would be when I'm not doing senior design. Also when I'm not overlapping with the currently extant magical burst quest.

I'm not sure whether to switch to the brat's POV, since she's supposed to be in the "evil cannot comprehend good" zone still. She wants to conduct herself in a good way but there are a lot of mental processing steps between how she would first think to do something and how she actually does it. Mental compulsion versus giving a gift, for example. Thankfulness versus threats. Acting selfishly versus being deathly afraid of disappointing a father figure

>>
>>35757138
Maybe if op stopped being an egotistical cunt we could. I wanted to write some stuff on the subject but after all the cult of personality worship and hugboxing going on in this thread I'm severely turned off to the idea.
>>
>>35756930

Then go post some of your own writing and enjoy a little anonymous praise in one of the writethreads.

Almost all writing done here is of low quality, but that's because it's someone just cranking out a short little story for the amusement of others. I have been enjoying it, other anons have been enjoying it. If they weren't, there would have only been one thread because OP wasn't getting any response to their work. Despite the utter loathing some have for Quest threads, they wouldn't exist if there wasn't a fan base among the fa/tg/uys.

So how about you go make your own thread, and actually make something for /tg/ to enjoy instead of coming around to other threads and shitting about while others are having fun that you don't like.

>"Why do you keep making fun of me!? Why can't you just act normal!?"
>"WELL, HOW ELSE IS A DRAGON'S DAUGHTER SUPPOSED TO TRY AND BE YOUR FRIEND!?"
>dragon girl clasps a hand over her mouth
>now it makes sense
>dragons don't like being seen as weak
>she wanted to be my friend
>it's super hard for her not to act like the paladin's son because she's a dragon
>now she's holding her tail in her hands and trying to look away
>"Yeah, it's hard for me to make friends, okay? Is that what you wanted me to say!? It's so easy for you to do all this cool stuff, but when I do it, everyone's afraid that the big, bad dragon is gonna swoop down and eat whoever makes his daughter cry! No one likes talking to me, but they only have to because they don't want to be burned to a crisp! And when I see you walking around like you own the place, even though you're a weirdo like me, it just - RRGH! Just go away! I don't wanna talk!"
>dragon girl is sniffling a bit
>she doesn't want to look me in the eye
>put Beary on the ground
>hold her hands
(One more.)

It's just an image, Anon. The writing is what's important. I'd find images of demon girls, but when I try, it's all lewds.
>>
>>35758748
And the writing is about a girl and her demonically possessed stuffed bear. Be more original

>space out for a bit while walking around the market with Auntie Rose
>Notice a group of people on the edge of the market
>I can kind of hear them
>Sounds like they are telling each other stories of some kind
>One of them tells, what is clearly a joke
>Something along the lines of "Let me just pretend that people like my stories because they are good"
>Apparently no one else understood that it was a joke
>Everyone suddenly starts arguing about the stories
>Ask Auntie Rose who these people are
>She tells me to just ignore them
>And that's how I learned people can get REALLY mad over a joke

>Anyone being this mad over nothing.
Fuck anon, if you feel it necessary to shitpost over every single post on this thread, you could always, oh I don't know, not view the thread. Or keep foaming at the mouth if you like, I find it almost as entertaining as the stories themselves.

Very heavy handed, but otherwise okay.
I like your story, man. Always good for a nice, gentle read.

You got images to the knigga threads? I kinda want them on my iPad.

>"W-what do you want, dummy?"
>"Hey, look, i know it's tough, okay? I'm sorry for being - well, you're the one being mean, but - okay, what I'm trying to say is that I used to be teased, too. Before I met my friends, the paladin's son always played pranks on me, and the people in town kept on trying to avoid me like I'd curse them."
>she's still not looking at me, but her tail's kinda going down
>that's a good sign, right?
>"I'm not saying they're gonna like you right away, but if you want, we can go and play with my friends! I don't know their names, but we have sleep overs and stuff all the time! It's fun! Wanna join?"
>smile at her
>smiling always made Mister Lighthammer give me a pat on the forehead
>dragon girl tries to look at me without me noticing
>act like I'm looking at Mister Beary
>after a while, she starts smiling
>tries to hide it behind a mad cackle
>she jumps away from me, hopping onto her treasure hoard
>"W-well, maybe I WILL go and head into town with you! Then your friends will see how cool I am, and how I'm so awesome! Then they'll leave you and hang out with me, because you're a zero and I'm the hero!"
>wow, what a butt
>but at least I get her now
>Maybe
>"Now go! Leave my cave, stinky pee-pee peasant!"
>"And...thank you."
>"Whaaaat? What was that? Did the dragon girl say THANK YOU?"
>"I said your bear looks like poop!"
