http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/35631395/
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/35652246/

So this is a cooperative project for all of /tg/.

The system we will use for system creation will be Mongoose Traveller. I am using the 2008 printing of the Core Rulebook, pg.s 1697 to 181. Any Entry in the Universal World Profile(UWP) may be altered if /tg/ doesn't like the result, but once a world is complete the code is fixed.

Currently no world is complete and only tentative descriptions are in place. If anyone on /tg/ wishes to add, correct, or otherwise alter a description, UWP, Trade Codes, or Travel Zone, please green text or otherwise quote the original entry and post it with your submission. This can be done here on /tg/ or on the roll20 Tiji Sector forum.

The project is not limited to just building the sector, the cultures and races are also under discussion. Currently the only inhabitants are humans, the scattered Zoani, and the terrifying Coral Minds. Random creature creation can be found on pg.s 69 to 75.

The goal is to develop the sector enough to allow gaming groups to adventure and explore using the Traveller ruleset. Keeping with this, some parts of sub-sectors, or even some entire sub-sectors, will have locations of systems that haven't been explored, surveyed, or otherwise documented, letting groups have their own bit of the Tiji Sector just for their game.

I'm going to be out pub crawling tonite so this thread is it for today...unless the specialty brews are shit, in which case I'll probably be back much earlier than I planned.

System Generation summary, dice rolls will be generally follow this sequence:
Size: 2d6+-2
Atmosphere: 2d6+-7+(Size), this can vary if using Space Opera or Hard Science system generation
Temperature: this stat isn't included in the UWP, but is instead a story mechanic for detailing a system, may also effect Hydrographics
Hydrographics: 2d6+-7+(Size, may have modifiers for Temperature and Atmosphere also)
That the raw physical data for the primary location within the system, and lets us know what the planet/moon/asteroid is like, then we have:
Population: 2d6+-2(or other modifier in Hard Science)
Government: 2d6+-7+(Population)
Faction/Faction Strength: these are more hidden stats that gives some background for shenanigans to happen within the system.
Law Level: 2d6+-7+(Government)
These are the social data of the system, it lets us know how populated the system is, who is in charge, and how badly the PC that just shot at a cop screwed up.
Finally we have the Technical Data
Starport: 2d6(may be modified if using Hard Science)
Tech Level: 1d6+(a variety of modifiers based on both the physical and social data of the planet.
The UWP is a string of alpha-numeric characters translating each value into a data range from 0 to 15(F) and is read as:
(Starport)(Size)(Atmo)(Hydro)(Pop)(Gov)(Law)-(Tech)

I thought we would try something new today and work backwards through our list of remaining systems for the rest of the sub-sector. So if any of you bright young stars are just dieing to test your writing skills or you luck with /tg/'s RNG hop in for some crazy shit.

That leaves us creating system 0803.
Unless of course anyone wants to try their hand at producing write ups for the previous systems, or even the terrifying Mind Coral that inhabit the planet Porpoise.

Are we actually using any of those generated above?

This subsector may end up being a deep backwater. So be it. We'll figure it out as we go.

if we want to shape the map, then I'd suggest generating a pile of worlds and *placing them* on the dot map we have. If we want to just roll and see what floats to the top and where, and build on that, let's keep on trucking.

Inzidi (0710 A9C1555-C N Fl Ni Rs A 104 Im)
A thoroughly unpleasant world in a young system, Inzidi is drowning under a very high atmospheric concentration of hydrogen gas. The remainder is hydrogen compounds, the result of the world slowly spouting new material to react with. Hydrogen can and does find its way through any protections the Imperials can devise, though the ancient Core Lords facility built into the side of a mountain manages to keep the hydrogen at bay. Studying this facility is just one of the reasons Inzidi hosts a legion of scientists, engineers, and other disciplines above and beyond the small permanent populace. The concentration of talent here also serves the Imperial Navy, and the small shipyard here can produce any prototype the Navy requires, often to the exclusion of any other construction.

Feldspar Belt 0701 C0009CC-C As Hi In Va A 314 Fb
A draconic dictatorship with what most outsiders describe as "religious trappings" rules this belt. Despite the potential for spread across the belt, most of the populace is found in a very small part of the total arc, in a cluster of large asteroids hollowed out and blistered with domes. Despite the high technology available here, living is close-set and no better than passable for most of the three billion inhabitants.
The Feldspar Belt has no commercial capability to manufacture spacecraft. Every starship is a State project, is hundreds of years old, or was "liberated" (ie. stolen) from Imperial or free state visitors. This remains enough to tie the Belt to its primary source of food, the neighboring Nikorr system.

The Imperium maintains a Consulate beyond the Habitat Arc as a snub to the Feldarchy and as a destination for desperate defectors. Outside visitors are strongly urged to stop at the Consulate instead of accepting the smooth invitations of the Feldarchy.
>>
Nikorr 0801 B9767BC-5 Ag Ga Lt A 525 Fb
A rich, if somewhat cloying, agricultural world tied to the Feldarchs of the Feldspar Belt by family and ideological connections. Nikorr feeds the Feldspar Belt at its own expense. In exchange, Feldspar maintains a tiny boatyard in orbit here, allowing the often brutal dictators of Nikorr to travel as they will above the heads of their farming serfs.
Nikorr's atmosphere is sulfurous. The windy altitudes of the overlords get very little of the stink and shortened lifespans, but the lowland agribusiness serfs do not have it so well.
