You are the PRODUCER, a former soldier hired to manage a group of teenage girls on their rise to stardom, assuming they don't get killed in the process!

Currently, your idols were sneaking in Delta City's sewer system, attempting to infiltrate the headquarters of Rose Entertainment. Unfortunately, things were a bit slow going. Not only were they running into multiple obstacles, but tunnels were narrow and winding, and easy to get lost in.

And then there was all of your idols' bickering.

"Oh my god, it stinks so bad!" Sparky grunts.

"I don't appreciate being knee deep in shit." Melissa grumbles.

"Technically, this is a storm drain, not a sewer, so this is just accumulated runoff, not sewage." Rochelle explains.

"I like it. Smells like home." Cole says nostalgically before pausing. "Actually, wait, no. fuck that. I hate this smell."

"Goddamn Morgan, not having to deal with all this shit." Julie sighs.

"Don't bring me into this." Morgan snaps.

"Girls. Focus." You snap. "You're all on mission right now."

"You heard the Producer." Rochelle says.

"Okay, okay." Cole rolls her eyes.

Your idols proceed through the sewers, quietly this time, with the only sounds being the sloshing and splashing of the rancid sewer water beneath their feet. Finally, they come up to a steel panel, no doubt covering up an opening.

"Hey, uh, are we under their building yet?" Rochelle asks, looking up at the panel. "This looks like a point of entry."

"I think you should be under their garage at this point." You say, referencing their positions on the map with the blueprints. However, there was a bit of a discrepancy between them, so it may not be entirely accurate."

"Maybe we should go in further for other entrances?" Melissa suggests.

"But we might run into a dead end." Julie warns.

We must post what sexy scenarios we believe Himawari has planned for our innocent idols!
I'll go first:
>Cole would be straight steamy shower sex
>Morgan would get railed on the rooftop, likely after plenty of vodka
>Melissa's would be a quick one, somewhere the other girls can't discover her and P-san
>Julie's would be after stopping some criminal scum, blowing off steam by blowing the producer
>Sparky would get some bondage action, as punishment for the kitchen explosion(Julie would be helping the Producer with the punishment).
>Niko would get it during dance or song practice
>Rochelle would be the most aggressive, having K-Zwolf restrain the Producer while she takes the P for herself
>Rin would be the most debauched, engaging in sex in the missionary position while holding hands and with the lights turned off, because it's always the innocent ones...

Sparky will dress up the Bombs from Mario.

The girls move forward slowly, with K-Zwolf trailing behind. After a few more twists and turns, and a few grates opened up with some special application of a bit of thermite, and eventually they come up to a set of stairs. Rochelle pauses and quietly waves for Cole and Melissa to take point. Cole quietly creeps up to the door and fires up her biosensor.

"Do you sense anything?" Melissa whispers.

"Nothing on the door." Cole shakes her head. "This door is completely analog. I think we can just break it open."

"What about behind?"

"No life signs. Some faint electronics, but I don't think anything too threatening."

"All right. Melissa, breach it." Rochelle orders.

Melissa then reaches forward with her augmetic arm and rips the lock out and the door swings open easily.

"Holy SHIT." Cole blinks. "JACKPOT!"

You switch to her feed, and see that you've actually broken into what appeared to be Rose Entertainment's armory. Just... lines of weapons stacked on racks and on the walls. The door was apparently hidden behind a false wall, which was why it wasn't noticed.

"What do we do?" Rochelle asks.

"Hey, hey! I found something!" Julie hisses.

The rest of the girls scurry over, where you see a large, sealed vault. No doubt storing all of Rose Entertainment's good stuff.

"Huh." Sparky examines the safe. "This is some pretty thick armor. I think I can blast through it, but it ain't going to be quiet, and there's a chance the stuff inside might get damaged."

Ideal playout: Open vault, no alarm, no demolitions. Steal everything, rig with explosives to trigger when opened, reseal. Since idols are highly likely to be present the next time they open it, don't use LETHAL explosives: Pyrotechnics, flashbangs, lots of smoke, anythign to DEMORALIZE THEM - and give the impression that what was left inside was blown the fuck up as a spiteful gesture.

That's a completely different ballgame from a combat loadout for taking on a concert that contains multiple combat idols and a corporation that's hell bent on protecting those idols for control of the city.

"Well, it looks like we hit the jackpot." Cole whistles.

"Oh....OHMYGOD." Rochelle squeals. "THIS IS AMAZING."

>Weapons gained!

>WEYLAND YUTANI FLAME PROJECTOR - After Vietnam 2, there was a resurgence in the popularity of flame weapons. One such result is Weyland Yutani's line of portable flamethrower attachments. This can be fitted under the barrel of any modern assault rifle, and gives the user a short range flamethrower attack.

>ARCHANGEL JUMPJET - A lightweight power armor developed by Cyberdyne, the Archangel is less about protection and more to house a small jumpjet allowing the wearer to fly or hover for short distances.

"Is this stuff worth taking, Rochelle?" You ask.

"YESYESYES." She says quickly.

That was a lot of gear. You couldn't very well leave it here, and it would weight down your idols if they tried to carry the extra weight. Perhaps you should have an idol take it back through the series...

Okay, so who should get the Jumpjet? It offers some protection, and has mobility.

Your girls quickly and quietly pile out of the armory and into the hallway outside. Rochelle takes a quick look both ways and gives the "all clear" sign.

"Cole, can you sense anything?"

"Hmmmm." Cole closes her eyes. "I sense... four people on this floor. Two on the second. Third looks like it's magnetically shielded. I can't see a thing in there."

With that, your idols begin moving up the stairwell. Fortunately, they don't run into any resistance. On the third floor, they come up to a hallway leading to an armored door with a viewing port made out of extremely thick glass, which you assume to be bulletproof. An electronic keypad sits at the side.

"Melissa?" Rochelle turns to the augmented girl.

"On it." Melissa stomps her augmetic foot on the ground to trigger its seismic sensor as she probes the interior of the building.

>STAR POWER SPENT

Cole hits the door with a massive electrical charge. You can see the lock panel go crazy as it overloads from the stress before finally exploding with a loud POP.

"Guys, just warning you." Jenner calls in. "Stig reported that DeRosa's combat idols are already headed back to base. Whatever you're doing, you need to do it fast."

Melissa rushes forward and pulls the now disabled security door open, grunting with the effort. Julie is the first inside, shield up. However, it really wasn't necessary. The moment your idols move in, you see three half dressed girls shriek and flee deeper into the building. Looking around, you figure you've just broken into the building's living quarters. You also see DeRoso himself as he walks into the entry hall. Even though he shouldn't be able to recognize your idols under their masks, he nevertheless pales in fear and surprise at the sight and he bolts back from where he came.

The smarter move is to kidnap his idols, actually.
Without them, he can't make revenue - force them to miss a few big performances, etc.

Or, hell, just ransom them back to him.

We CAN go after his idols without stooping to his level.
>>
>>35765282
I feel bad for his idols since they will be run ragged though
>>
>>35765279
I do want to hurt DeRosa, but I want to do it where it hurts the worst. His bank account. The building repairs/replacement and the loss of his armory will be felt for a long time.
>>
>>35765301
I feel like I'm the only that voted to go straight for that. They're running money. The money is running away. Go after the money!
>>
>>35765299
What is wrong about acquiring loot?

People were talking about it a lot when we enter the armory.
>>
>>35765301
With the cost of repairing his office, i doubt he'll be able or willing to pay the ransom
>>35765307
Such is life in the idol industry
>>
>>35765120
>You also see DeRoso himself as he walks into the entry hallTrash the place to send a message.

HOly shit!

He was probably in his office! Raid his files and shit.
Snag the computer, burn it, cripple the book, or just get finances we can dig for his support network with.
>>
>>35765301
Now you're thinking anon. Ruining his base won't do squat if he has any insurance, which any sane businessman in his position would have. If we strip him of his source of income, however, that'll throw a major wrench in his capacity to do anything.
>>
>>35765307
>>35765317
Hell, just imagine trying to rebuild after that.

>>35765325
That was serendipity, now that were in full mission mode we don't exactly have the luxury of time to do so.
>>
>>35765328
>With the cost of repairing his office, i doubt he'll be able or willing to pay the ransom

Yes that's the entire point. You force him out of business.

Also its highly likely he'll get an insurance payout from trashing the office FYI - he could come back from this STRONGER - so you need to hit him everywhere overall.
>>
>>35765325
There's a time and a place for loot. If you start loot whoring in a place or media not appropriate for it once it is past a certain point.
>>
>>35765345
The problem is, if we kidnap his idols and demand a ransom he'll know we did it. And he will still have perfectly capable combat idols. And if he thinks that he is going to go out of business, he's going to try to take us with him.
>>
>>35765120
>. Looking around, you figure you've just broken into the building's living quarters

>>
>>35765345
This guy gets it. Even if we manage to empty his bank account (which won't happen thanks to insurance coverage) he won't be stopped until we strip him of his income. The best way to put him on the street for good is to do both.

Hell, even if he can't pay us our ransom we can just let the girls go. The point is to bleed him dry.
>>
>>35765381
Awesome, get the time to grab them and make bank.
>>
>>35765376

>>
>>35765387
But the best method of hurting DeRosa is through capturing his idols.
>>
>>35765376
>demand a ransom he'll know we did it
I'll be honest. Don't care. He can try. He can scream. He do whatever he thinks he can but he'll get his teeth kicked in again.
>>
>>35765345
See >>35765376
and >>35765381
Even if we kidnap the idols, he'll still have his combat idols to try and kill our girls
That's why we just bring down the building: It cripples him while giving us deniability
>>
>>35765417
Mate, we are in a tricky position of possibly getting into the big leagues. We have to look spotless.
>>
>>35765120
Your idols make a move to chase them, but you stop them.

"Girls, focus! We're on a timer, so don't get distracted trying to chase them!" You snap. If the security measures you've run into so far were any indication, you had no doubt DeRosa and his idols may have secondary defenses or some kind of panic room set up. "Just trash whatever you can find!"

"Sparky, you're up." Rochelle says.

"Yesssss!" Sparky cackles as she takes out handfuls of grenades and starts tossing them into every room she can find. She even drops a few incendiaries, igniting a few other rooms and triggering the fire sprinklers.

"Producer, I see a VTOL incoming. I might be able to-" You then hear Morgan spit a Russian curse.

"Morgan! What's wrong?" You ask.

"One of the girls in the VTOL spotted me and took a shot!" Morgan scowls.

>>35765417
The entire point of doing this was to ensure that he doesn't try to fuck with our big concert. If we fuck up in a way that he knows it is us, he will do everything in his power to fuck us over.

It really should be engaging the vtol just keeping it from landing or being near the building.

"Producer." Morgan speaks up. "I've repositioned. The enemy VTOL has already touched down and unloaded. There are enemy combat idols in the building now."

"Thanks, Morgan." You nod. "Rochelle, you hear that?"

Yeah, you remembered riding around in these things. They were decently well armored, and they packed a lot of firepower, with a 30mm autocannon and .50cal automated turret that could cause some serious damage.

The engine roars to life as the mighty war machine is roused from its slumber.

"Yes! We're in business!" Rochelle squeals and slams her foot on the pedal. The Viper lurches forward, punching through garage door and crumpling it like paper.

"Sparky, can you do the honors?"

"Gladly!" Sparky grins as she mans the controls for the turret. The Viper's main gun spins around, and Sparky pulls the trigger, cackling as 30mm shells tear through the garage's walls, demolishing tools, fuel tanks, the remaining vehicles. Another loud WHUMP gives you an indication that the explosives planted in the armory have gone off as well.

"Shelling complete!" Sparky grins and salutes.

"All right, we're out of here-" Rochelle is cut short as machine gun fire ripples across the nose of the Viper. Up above, Rose's VTOL swoops down in an attack run.

Where is are VTOL at? Like really? We armed it for this kind of shit.
>>
>>35766306
I think that these autocannons have multiple ammunition types, not sure how many rounds of it we have or how long it'll take to change the ammo being used.

Right now, I'm assuming we have standard armour piercing.
>>
>>35766306
Probably. Any IFV worth its salt carries both APFSDS and HEI.
HEI is what you want, High Explosive Incendiary.
>>
>>35766330
Fires from an open bolt, usually dual feed so you can decide which round you want to shoot just by flipping a switch. We have more than enough ammunition of both sorts. Hundreds of rounds.

"ALright, girls, time for a crash course in military tactics. The thirty doesn't have good depression, so make sure to use the 50 cal - air defense and automatic point defense are what its made for, but I doubt they have the milspec software sensor package for AAA."

"Rochelle, drive. Use both lanes, swerve so they don't get a bead on you. IFV's a lot bigger than you think, but its got POWER behind it."

"Sparky, track the vtol, and wait for a good shot."

"Morgan, KZwolf? Do you have a bead on the vtol? Force it at the deck where the thirty can hit it. And this is why its called a CRASH course.""

"Stig, nemo - I want you to go to active sensors. Ping the vtol pilot with a missile lock. I want him to shit his pants and make a wrong."

"Sparky - wait for the right moment, then nail him with the thirty when you have a shot- but be careful what's behind your target."

Its a tense situation, but THIS is literally right up P-san's alley. Military gear, vehicle, tactics, situation - its what he was trained for, and skilled in tutoring how to deal with it.

But it wasn't because we told Morgan, and the VTOL, by extension, to relocate so that Morgan wouldn't get swiss-cheesed
>>
>>35766366
Fuck you, the 30 has great elevation. In fact, it's designed to also be able to take on helicopters.
50 cal is also probably a CROWS by the commander, gunner can engage independently with either coax or autocannon
Just laze the target and keep the thing in your sights, it will automatically account for lead.

"Watch out!" Morgan yells as the Rose VTOL unleashes a flurry of rockets at the Viper. The entire vehicle is shaken and rocked, and all the girls inside yelp at surprise. However, Rochelle manages to get the Viper into a tunnel eluding the VTOL's sight.

"Um, so I don't want to be the bearer of bad news." Julie says. "BUT THE VEHICLE IS ON FIRE!"

"Well put it out!" Rochelle yells. "I can't stop this thing until we're a safe distance!"

"Sparky!"

"Hey, I START fires. I don't know anything about putting them out!"

"Ugh, do I have to do everything around here!" Cole grumbles as she digs into the storage compartments for a fire extinguisher.

"Silly Americans..." Morgan sighs as she ropes down from her vantage point.

Eventually, Rochelle manages to limp the Viper to a vacant lot, where Stig rendezvous with them and takes over on the Viper. He gives a look over and indicates the damage it took would put it out of commission for a while, but some TLC from him and Falynn should get it back up and running 100% fairly soon.

Well, that was all and good. You achieved your objectives, your idols were back safe and sound, and you had a few new toys to play with. They only way his day could get better was if-

And complaining at Merc does nothing either so yay~ Fucking wonderful.
>>
I do apologize. This quest requires me to keep track of a lot of things and sometimes some stuff slips through the cracks, especially since I do very little prewriting.

The Hornet is still around. Just because it wasn't around for one battle doesn't mean you lost it forever, and it's actually gotten shit done or given you capabilities you wouldn't otherwise have had.
>>
>>35766907
We geared it up just for this very mission last fucking thread and even with us asking about it in this very thread, you forgot about it? Was an enemy vtol strafing our girls not enough of an emergency?

What the fuck merc, good job hamstrining us
>>
>>35767102
Maybe you should... I don't know. UPDATE YOUR FUCKING NOTES AT THE END OF EVERY THREAD. That might help. So would UPDATING THOSE PASTEBINS.
>>
>>35767102
You do realize people kept asking about throughout the thread and you blatantly ignored it. That's what's got me upset the most right now.
>>
>>35767052
I am complaining because the money spent on the Hornet could have been used to outfit half of our idols with bleeding edge weaponry and armor. Had Merc at least let on that opportunities to use the Hornet offensively would be few and far between, or that he would generally focus on the idols combat on foot, I would have been more inclined to go for a higher capacity transport aircraft.

I'm totally fine with him downplaying vehicle combat in favor of ground fighting, I just wish he would spell these things out. If we're hardly ever going to get a chance to use this tank, I would have been more inclined to bank that nat20 when opened the garage, for example. It's just the ambiguity of it all is a tad frustrating when it means the difference of how we spend our cash outfitting our idols.
>>
Drawfag once more. If we're bringing up stuff like this I was wondering where it was stated that it was only a maximum cap of 3 Star Power at once. Was it at the start of the quest? Not that I mind and not that I regret drawing any of what I drew, but I do feel a bit saddened at the loss of potential star power as while the overall main goal is to just have fun and contribute to this quest, I also did it for the helping everyone with Star Power as well.

Nevertheless, it was still a good thread and like all the others anon said it would be really appreciated if you did update the pastebins!
>>
>>35767102
You might want to slow down on the massive questing then as such details can be important in things like this.
>>
Guys, drop it. Merc made a mistake and he realizes it. No need to keep dwelling on it.
>>
>>35767143
No, I agree with you. But it's fucking clear Merc isn't going to change anytime soon in regards to explaining anything. He's been like this since VMQ. I really don't know why I expect him to get better at it.
>>
>>35767157
He makes the same mistakes over and over again. Forgetting weapons, upgrades, etc It has gotten fucking old at this point and has hamstring us in this very thread.
>>
>>35767174
And he realized it and, what's more, admitted it. Continuing to rag on about it is counterproductive.
>>
>>35767191
When he shows the change I'll shut up about it. But I'm not giving this much hope or any really.
>>
>>35767149
It's something of an unofficial rule to soft cap star power gain at 3, since art for star power is something that can be very easily abused.

And again, I have 7 different text files dedicated to just this quest, so don't think that I don't keep careful notes or track progress. However, one of my flaws it that I can be very absentminded when it comes to actually remembering to apply said changes to the pastebins themselves.
>>
>>35767196
And that right there is counterproductive. Just shut up and wait. Continued bitching accomplishes nothing.
>>
>>35767143
Well said anon, I'm half tempted to sell the hornet because of this and how little use we get from it, but then merc would forget we sold it

The thing is a massive fucking rippoff, 12 grand for it and nothing to show for it...
>>
>>35767214
I really, REALLY don't get this line of thinking. So because he forgets to include the Hornet in one battle, people already write it off as if it never existed? The fucking thing has been providing aerial insertion and extraction for the past few missions, which everybody seems to be conveniently forgetting.
>>
>>35767201
Ah alright, definitely understandable and I don't want to game the quest and churn out a billion lazy drawn doodles or anything to get infinite Star Power, so thanks for the confirmation on that.
>>
>>35767247
I'm fairly certain there is at least one person trying to start shit in several quests right now.
>>
>>35767271
Yeah, I'm under the impression that all this Hornet business is basically being stirred up by one troll or disgruntled anon. Merc's players are usually better than this.
>>
>>35767201
How is it abuse? Why is that a bad thing, do you not want art? You've never actually said anything about a limit and even the drawfag didn't know, kind of shitty that he's been making all that awesome art under false pretenses
>>
>>35767318
If you think the drawfag has been drawing to farm star power and not because he just enjoys drawing, then that's pretty goddamn disrespectful.
>>
>>35767318
You fucking kidding me. Merc has s number of times. Check the archives. Bloody hell.
>>
>>35767286
Okay something is causing anons all over this board to go mad with rage, I'll give you that much.

But this particular case is over a specific issue. The fact that we are simply not getting our money's worth out of this gunship. The Hornet is far and away the most expensive piece of equipment we've purchased, and we scarcely get an opportunity to use it. It has on the overall, been a massive money sink where when we could have bought super powered weapons for our idols we could have actually used. We spent a good chunk of the last thread getting it prepped, and most of this thread clamoring to use it, and Merc straight up forgot that it existed.
>>
