I am Razsezsunael, I was until recently non existent, but now I am, and I like the feeling of being a something rather than a nothing like I was before. Of course there is one downside to be being a something, and that is the clawing hunger within this form of mine, I want to eat everything around me, and I would, if I wasn't so curious as the what the things before me were. Hunger and curiosity, the two things I've been feeling since my "birth", that and annoyance at all the cowardly....humans? I've been forced to interact with.

One of which is before me, or at least I think it is human, I am not quite sure, as it is fatter than any human I've seen in my admittedly short existence. It has hair on its face and none on its head, and it currently has a crate on its head and is covered in salt.

The Rotund human, who I think is one of their males, presses his back against the wall, having told me about the letter I found about something ordering human body parts and other such strange things, the only thing stopping me from tasting his well salted flesh raw is my curiosity as to why this one is so different from the ones who made me a something in the first place with the life of a rather dull tasting girl who's form mine resembles unfortunately.

His eyes pass between me and the door, or They would if it weren't for the crate atop his small head.

He makes a strange noise as I take a step towards him, my drool melting the floor boards beneath me as it does everything else it touch, a strange steam rising into the air as it does so

"You, Stay" I command the strange round creature "I shall be residing here until I find a more accommodating abode, you tell any other about me and you shall be the next on my platter"

The human creature nods. And my curiosity finally comes to a boil.

"Human, why are you so much larger than your smaller kin?" I ask him as I stare at his large stomach.

"W..well" He says "I..I..I"

"Answer me" I growl sounding like metal grinding together beautifully.

"I like to eat" He says suddenly

"Where is the lord of this land?" I ask walking closer to the human "and what is the best way to get to him?"

"Duke Hrigan?" He says "most likely somewhere around his manor, and well, I'd say through his guards". I step closer, smiling as I feel the pangs of hunger once again.

"W..wait, I thought you were going to let me live" He shouts, his voice wavering as he hears me get closer

"Oh I never said that" I say "Now stay still, it will be over soon.

Soon the sound of flesh tearing and bone cracking echo through the small building.

I lick the blood from my mouth as I drag the humans remain down the stairs, to store them in an empty box for later consumption.

"Creature" I call out to the thing made of rusted metal and dripping sorrow "Why are you tormenting that thing?"

"Ah" It speaks with a voice like rotted fruit and trodded dirt "it is the soul of a sinner, this is its fate after all, though I must ask, what is a little thing like you doing outside?"

"I do not know what you mean, strange beast" I say "I was created here, and here is all I've seen"

"Oh so you're artificial are you" the thing laughs a laugh like cracking stones "well isn't that most quaint".

"Explain, metal one" I say staring into the wonderfully delicious looking place.

"We are demons" says the thing "creatures who torment and corrupt, you however are artificial, born from dark magic and a soul torn from its owner I imagine"

"I was asking about why you're tormenting the sinner's soul" I say "and why I want to eat it, as well as most everything else my eyes see"

"AH, well I imagine you're a demon of gluttony then, born of hunger, you shall forever hunger" the thing says as he tears the "Skin" from the soul "Oh maybe you just need more energy with in you, who knows"

"Gluttony?" I ask "What is this you speak of metal one"

"It's what humans call eating more than you should, or wanting to eat and eat and eat and eat" He says "rather self explanatory really, though you look little like any gluttony demons I see".

"How so?" I ask.

"My aren't you a curious thing" it says "well first off you aren't so large around the waist, and look far more grotesque"

I scratch my chin, as large flies burn past me

"I am also compelled to learn everything I can" I say as the world around me begins to wilt and rot, the ground getting dirtied and befouled "can this perhaps account for my strange appearance"

"Perhaps" the thing says jamming a spear in an unmentionable part of the soul "it could also be because you were made via a soul of a human, rather than say an atrocity"

"That answers one question, now what's all this then" I say gesturing at the world in the door "I can't imagine the humans would much enjoy being around this, do they even know about this door". The thing laughs

"Why it's home, my curious imp" It says "And they don't, they tend to turn a blind eye towards such things, can't even force themselves to see what's before them".

"Why am I on fire?" I ask pointing at my "Hair".

The thing shrugs as it carries the soul to a pot of boiling oil. I glare in anger that my question was not answered, but the oil makes me hunger once again.

"What would happen if I ate a soul?" I ask.

"Well, you'd gain power" it says "but well, it may make the lads up top a bit angry with you, they don't much mind us tormenting the rotten ones, but eat enough souls and they start wanting your hide, but If I was you, I'd just eat whatever is sent after you, you need some meat on your bones"

"What other kinds of demons are there?" I ask

"Let me see, Envy, Lust, sloth, greed, pride, and wrath" it says going to torment a new soul "Those are ones that feed on sin, there are others types, but they're far to numerous to number, so I won't bother"

"What is a sinner and why is there fate so?" I ask

"a human or monster who commits sins" it says pulling a resisiting soul along "and their fate is so, because it is their punishment eternal"

I nod

"Sounds fair" I say

"Who are the lads up top" I ask "and why aren't you feeding to gain strength right now?"

Nah, screw black marble, too cliche. Obsidian is where it's at: black, glossy, and easy to make into razor-sharp ridges and spikes.

And I have no clue if the pentagram has any significance. We should come up with our own unholy symbol for our soon-to-be-faithful. I personally recommend forcing them to burn their good hand in order to symbolize their reliance on us for everything good that comes their way.

I also think we should claim the title "Lord of the Flames." Or maybe "Mistress of Magma" if we can find some magma.
>>

Also, just a thought, but we could probably do some very nice work of the sculptures with our acid spit. It'd be kinda like fingerpainting, but with stone as the medium..
>>
>>35924313
I was thinking more in a ceremonial fire. And then they let us eat their lightly-seared hand, still fresh and sizzling from the ritual.

>>
>>35924351

I wonder what human meat tastes like when cooked, luckily this one is all nice and wrapped up still. And like most humans is to slow to resit me making sure it is nice and tight in it's sheets as I grab a handful of hair and rub it on top of it, causing it to catch fire as it's contents to cook alive

it starts to thrash about and the scent of it's burning skin cause me to loose my paitence and begin to dig in before it cooks properly.

I see the soul begin to rise from the mess of meat and bone that used to be it's body, and I catch it in my hands and bite into its neck, sucking down all that made it it, fueling my inner fire even more

I hear voices downstairs

I run my hands through my hair, handfuls of fire falling from the cascade of burning on top of me head as I walk towards the window, and pull myself out, holding onto the unpainted ledge of it, before dropping it down, dusting off my clothing as I tear the door open with my inhuman strength as I hear footsteps behind me.

A little pack of humans, two smalls ones, one female.

The room is bare except for a few broken and aged pieces of boring and flammable furniture. The walls are unpainted, cracked, and repaired with wooden boards.

Raising kids sucks... good thing we have a cult to do it FOR us!
We kill the parents, kidnap the kids, bring kids to cultists
cultists raise kids into more cultists!

Once we learn magic, we can arrange for spells that trap the soul of anyone who dies within our sanctum. our cultists will provide us with ever replenishing source of souls

basically, play sorta dungeon keeper with humans serving as sycophants/cattle/slaves
>>

Good point. Maybe we should try and convert the mother too, so she can raise up her little cultists for us while we gather power and nom souls.

We're going about this all wrong.
We can't just eat souls, we have to eat EVERYTHING.
Let's go to the bakery, eat all the baked goods, eat the baker, and then eat the bakery.
Imagine the looks on the villager's faces when they realize someone fucking ate their bakery.
>>
The little ones, could they be trained as hounds? this train of thought enters my head as I approach them, intent on devouring their little bodies. My hunger and curiosity battle within me as I try and decide if I should eat them, or see if human pups can be trained to not be cowards as most of their kin seem to be.

I decide to take them for training purposes, wrapping them in the....carpet beneath them, their mother screams of terror covering up their screams of confusion and fear as I wrap them into the ball of carpet.

I'll at least have snacks for later if I decide that training them is to boring or difficult.

And now for the mother.

She runs down the stairs, possibly looking to save her brood from being cooked, or maybe to flee.
she sees me and....doesn't run as the fire quickly spreads, almost as hungering as me.

She glares at me as she sees my makeshift sack for snack or future project.

She's by the cooking area of this abode, I watch her curiously as she grabs a knife and charges me screaming, trying to hide her fears. Her arm makes the most lovely snapping noise as I wrench it upwards, grabbing the knife, along with a few of her fingers.

then I turn it to her, carving a nice hole into her chest, before I begin removing her organs and various meats, trying to taste the difference between them as she gurgles and cries, reaching futilely toward her captured young.

Her soul leave as her eye grow dim, and I grab it and stuff it into my mouth, chewing it with a few wet crunches

souls consumed: 3

I grab my sack of children and notice human voices over the flames, seems a crowd has gathered around the now slightly burning house

I hum a tune as I walk through the back door, the squirming humans in my sack putting up and kind of funny excuse of a struggle as I open the door again, closing it behind me as I leave.

"Oh hush now" I say to my two new things "I'm not going to eat you, I just ate parents, so I shouldn't be hungry for at least a little bit, so stop crying and whining or I'll make you silent". They do not obey me as I make my way back to the basement of the shop, my birthplace. Only due to the fact most of the humans in this area of the town were to concerned with the fire than with me.
I open the door, and follow the streak of blood down to the basement, ignoring the gaggle of cultists around the half eaten corpses of the shopkeeper, his low jaw was the tastiest part.

I open the iron door, and plop the carpet sack onto the ground, turning to a human who isn't in robes, but seems rather tired

"You, make sure these two don't leave" I say flashing my teeth to make sure it listens

RIP wall, we hardly knew ye.

The walls come tumbling down?
>>
I lick the wall, my green colored Saliva eating away at it in an alarming speed, even to me, making a nice, perfectly round hole for me to walk into the grounds of the manor with

Inside I see a line of humans getting into the manor, a small forested area with a pond, a garden filled with pink flowers and some humans milling about.

I hide behind a bush
I can smell food on the air

what do I do?

[x] Head straight to the manor entrance. Act natural.

Go check out the pond. I don't think we've ever seen water pools aside from the mermaid pit underground.

Duke is your dinner tonight. Resist urge to go straight for the food. Try to search for the Duke.

>>35927275
skirt the wall til you're out off sight of the entrance then hide and wait till the party is over and everyone is reeling from it.

Thirded.

Kind of burnt out on running today

and I need to think of how to make the duke's manor an actual challenge

see you guys tuesday/wednsday

sorry for ending this early
>>
>>35927275
Spy on them in secret to identify the duke (based on whatever speeches go on)
Then hunt for ghosts until the party ends and the guests leave. Then murder the duke in his sleep with a knife, eating his soul. and avoiding raising suspecion

And yes, I am the same guy as >>35927174

Alright, thanks for running. Out of curiosity, did we ruin any original challenge by walking through the wall?
>>
>>35927543
Do you have a twitter?
