And here we are. Me and Gabrielle, sitting on the couch as we wait for Charlotte to come back from whatever the heck she's doing in her room. She's playing with her stuffed animal's ears, and I'm repeatedly stealing glances at my girlfriend's little sister.

Because oh my god she's just so cute. I'd ask to hug her if it wasn't for the fact that we just met and I don't want her to think that I'm some kind of weirdo.

Speaking of weird, Gabrielle mentioned that she saw Charlotte kiss me before she came in here... but I -know- that door was closed when I came in here, that kidnapping business has me even more paranoid about not leaving doors open than I already was.

And then there's the matter of how she was even able to open the door to begin with. This room is registered to Charlotte and she had no idea that Gabrielle would even be coming here to visit her so I doubt that she could've gotten her own keycard...

...maybe it's got something to do with her Branch? Charlotte mentioned that Gabrielle does have one, and now I'm curious as to what it is. But I can't just up and ask her about it since that's considered to be a super rude thing to do.

...I feel like a moron. Time to be quiet for a while before I stick my foot any further into my own mouth.

While I do this, Gabrielle gets up from the couch and makes a lap around the hotel room, inspecting the windows and the curtains and poking around her refrigerator and all that. I can't really blame her, that's probably the first thing I would've done if I was in her position.

Just as Gabrielle is finishing up her rounds and is heading back to the couch, Charlotte's bedroom door swings open and Loki comes flying out. With a loud caw, he circles around the little girl a few times before landing on her head.

I can't help but smile at the scene, this is just way too adorable.

"Hi Loki!" Gabrielle says, holding Shary up so that it's facing the crow.

With a proud smile on her face, Charlotte holds the dress up so that both me and Gabrielle can get a good look at it. It's got a red-and-white top with a black skirt... not overly gaudy but still the same kind of overall style that Charlotte's own clothing is in.
