Jaffar seems to be in genie form in that pic

Does that mean that he simply killed Alladin before he got trapped inside his lamp?
>>
>>36002480
I am aware that it is a thing, but I was not sure if it made sense give the setting we're dealing with.

Another question comes to mind: who exactly are Facilier's friends on the other side? If he won, then he is presumably still on good terms with them: which implies that New Orleans is now a necropolis.
>>
>>36002626

Demons, spirits, something else. Things that are simply not of this world.

I like to think that the magic of his friends would be simply a "what the fuck is this shit?" situation for any other villain, because it's like its source is a from a different dimensions.
>>

Now isn't that interesting. So Jack went with the winning team? Is he playing mole for the good guys? Something else?

Scar rules the Savannah, while Sabor rules the jungle.

I'd like to think Kaa gets closer to being the character from the actual Jungle Book - an ancient terrifying creature that doesn't sound like Winnie the Pooh.
>>
A problem we have with this setting is that some characters very clearly belong in specific time periods, and in certain cases they clash horrendously.

Are we seriously suggesting that Frollo and Cruella are in neighboring nations at the same time?

Well, some of the older villains are clearly immortal - like Jafar - or incredibly long-lived - like Ursula. You can set it in the time where it'd make sense that everyone is alive and well somehow.

So, a map in progress of the Disneyverse.

The real world overlaps in places with Neverland and Wonderland.
Underneath it is Hades' realm, and even even deeper down is Tartarus, where the Titans are trapped.
I was thinking of adding Triton's Kingdom alongside them, but it's technically a part of the real world.

The Other Side is somewhere out there. Nobody knows what's there or how to get there, not even the people in touch with it.

>Tremaine
Married off one of her daughters to the Prince, possibly by stealing a fairy's wand and going back in time. Now ruling family of wherever the hell Cinderella took place; Cinderella herself probably starved under a bridge.
>Horned King
Since his army is vast and powerful, but completely unintelligent without direct orders, he only controls what is now Hungary and Batislava and basically acts as a cushion between the politcally savvy Grimhilde and the evil-even-by-villain-standards Chernabog.
>Mother Gothel
Has managed to extract some sort of long-life elixir from Rapunzel's hair: she regularly sells it to the other villains. Does not directly control any land (I imagine she's somewhere in Maleficent's side of France?) but having access to this singular resource that everyone wants has made her a rich, rich woman.
But Rapunzel's hair is getting less shiny every day, and the girl herself is getting paler and paler, and Gothel is afraid of what's going to happen if she doesn't manage to provide her products...

Narnia is a post-rapture, hell-ravaged land
after aslan and all the good men and animals left for the land-across-the-sea, the combined forces of evil (I don't quite remember who they were off the top of my head) ravage the landscape while the heathens and evil men run from ungoliant-esque protomonstrosities
all attempts to invade it have been Pyrrhic at best (some hold lands, but they're constantly seiged and barely hold out).
rumors abound of aslan returning to kill all the evil shit, but so far they've been rumors at best. many villains have vowed to close all the narnian gates to prevent any sort of "good" from ruining their evil paradise, and fight against those who seek to control the gates.

The green area around Grimhilde etc is their domains as shown in the works they're in.

I can't help but think that, After Elsa has fucked EVERYTHING up in her despair, Chernabog is just going to look aside and say "Oh. Well, hello there."

Just imagine it. A voice in the dark of her palaces whispering things from the shadows to her, just muttering about everything that she's lost and the little that is left.

Eventually, despair would turn to anger. And then it would be just a hop skip and jump to maybe point her towards south.

She might not be powerful enough on her own, but hey, it's not like Chernie cares for real. Or maybe he adds his power to the whole deal, and then.....It happens
>>
Didn't see in the last thread so I'll bring the idea up here

In Beauty and the beast the villain wasn't Gaston it was loneliness. So Belle decides she doesn't love the beast and escapes, Beast then finishes turning into an animal and becomes a giant wolf bull thing that would likely be protected from most minor magic since the form is caused by a true love curse.

And Walt knows how many diseases they brought with them.....

Darksun is sort of a post apoc world. Destroyed by magic.
There are two types of spellcasters, preservers and defilers, defilers is the easy way and tons of defiling magic has pretty much drained the planet to a desert.

What is mostly left is a huge wasteland with some walled city states.
Most of these city states are ruled by a single "sorcerer-king" and they're pretty much the only ones who do magic in the setting, they are sometimes worshipped as gods and even offer powers sort of like how gods give clerics spells.
Psionics is common in the setting.
A lot of races have been genocided by the sorcerer kings as part of cleansing programs that they were tasked with by their masters. I think they turned on their masters when they found out that they, the humans weren't the ones who were going to inherit the world.

Here you go.

The gods are long gone, there is no more water or minerals, only burning sand and a dying sun. What remains of civilization is living under fascist city states, vying for what little resources remain. Insane and ancient sorcerer-kings rule these cities, worshiped as gods.

To survive, you need to rely on what you have on hand. Most weapons and armor are either made from bone or stone or chitin, since metal is as rare as water. Magic is destructive and forbidden, since said sorcerer-kings used (and continue to use) the very life force of the planet to fuel their spells. This had led to a rising number of psychics, who use their own disciplines to do heroic deeds or become new tyrants.

Also, halfling cannibals will fuck your shit up.

The landscape of Corona is based on Pomerania, and they studied Prussian and Polish culture in the late 18th century. Damn, didn't even think about Yancy O'Del.
Doesn't seem to have big aspirations for ruling as it stands, but the ability to control cows and possibly people (didn't his accomplices put earplugs in while he yodeled?) could be a really great boon.
The most obvious other villain he'd clash with would be Dr. Facilier, but I haven't seen The Prinvess and the Frog in forever so I can't really make any predictions there.

But he doesn't really seem outrightly evil, just a rude dude searchin' for the big bucks and disinterested in the means. Maybe he's even become some kind of anti-hero who rides into battle on a thousand-strong army of bovine slaves to save the day from the REAL evils.

Going back up in the thread a bit, I like to think that the Friends are something else entirely. Literally nobody in the disneyverse knows what the fuck they are, and their magic is a huge case of "What in the fuck is this shit?" for everybody else

So let us recapitulate

>Frollo runs France as a theocracy with an iron fist, ruling for years upon years upon years. The tales of the Chosen of the Gods, he who does not die, for he is the one to rule.

>The Savannah is in a near constant state of drought, with hyenas and starving animals roaming. The Scarred Lion is the most feared beast of all, although he seems to only lurk inside his own lair

>The Seas are the no-man's-land. Chaotic waves and humongous storms, controlled by the Witch-Queen Ursula, who wields a power equal to the Gods. Only the Pirate Lords can navigate safely, and some say they'd rather take their chances with the storms.

>New Orleans, the Necropoli. The people go about their lives with souless eyes, and the shadows dance on the night. Dark Magic seeps from every corner, and the inhabitants live a half life. In the city of the Shadow Man, the phrase "Afraid of his own shadow" takes a much darker meaning

>Frollo
>Villain

The gypsies were the real villains, anon. The entire movie, Frollo is trying to get the guard to find and arrest the massive criminal underworld of gypsies that have taken root in Paris.

One hot gypsy happens to show up in the movie, suddenly the gypsies are the good guys and Frollo is suddenly the bad guy, everyone assumes he's delusional, and just a big meanie. Just because everyone wants to bang Esmerelda.

Well a little later in that movie and what do we find? Our "heroes" stumble upon the actual secret gypsy hideout, in a burial tomb no less. This is where all the gypsy thieves and murderers assemble to plan their next crimes and divide their loot. Their first reaction is to brutally murder these two innocent people. Only Esmerelda, the queen of the cocktease, is able to stay their executions.

The gypsies in The Hunchback of Notre Dame are pickpockets, cutthroats, seductresses, whores, trespassers, defilers of sacred places, tax dodgers, murderers, and undoubtedly in LEAGUE WITH THE DEVIL!!

Frollo was perhaps overly zealous in his dealings with others and in the performance of his duty to safeguard the people of Paris from the scourge of lawlessness and heresy. But he is without any doubt, justified in his suspicions and actions to put down a powerful and insidious criminal cult.

SO SAYS PONTIFEX FROLLO!

FORWARD BROTHERS! THE TIME FOR THE PURGING HAS COME!
>>
>>36005832
On the coast, the Horned King denies mankind of art, lore, magic and technology, making himself the true keeper of secrets that he made secret.

To the east of the Horned King, a mad witch, a spiteful fey and a vain queen war against each other.

Further east is a surprisingly fertile mountain range ruled by a malevolent old bitty, and further still the fierce Shu dynasty.

South of these kingdoms but north of the Lion's lands is a vast desert ruled over by a djinn tyrant.
>>
>>36005936
All hail Pontifex Frollo Infinitatus! Frollo ∞!
>>
>>36005984

>There is nothing on the coast, except empty lives. Progress, art, inovation, all of that has been sealed away. Those that wander there are forced to be alive, without anything to live for.

>Deeper into the continent, the Forest of Lights awaits. Illusions, trickery, madness and bizarre powers roam amongst the trunks. The laughter of a mad witch who sings about suffering and disease measures itself against the quiet hate of a fairy of shadow can fire, and the machinations and bitterness of the Beautiful Mad Queen. Nothing escapes her sight, for the whole world is as clear as a mirror to her. She cares not about anything beyond her domains, of course.

>Go not to the east. The mountains are alluring and promise safety, but the malevolent shadow that controls them is anything but. There is nothing to the east, anyway; the dinasty that broke the Wall controls everything. Their savagery is only not within us because they have decided to stick to their territory for millennia, and there are no tales of anyone getting in or out, ever.

>Speak not of the desert, for there is only evil. The sands tremble with the power of the Red Djinn, and they all live to serve him within the infinite sands. With one hand he produces sandstorms, and with the other he parts the earth. No, child. Speak not of the desert.

Maleficent, Grimhilde and the Horned King next
Gothel and Frollo next
Then Tremaine, Scar, etcetera.
>>
>>36006181

I'm having too much fun with this.

>The only seas that are not within Ursula's commands are arguably worse, those near the southern coast. The seas boil with serpents and monsters. Sacrifices and offerends are to be made daily to the Titans so that they spare the lives of mortals the wrath of Gaea. And you can hear the sounds of the departed, child; for up tin the highest mountain, there sits the Fiery God Hades. Above, on his throne, he observes all of the universe, and below it, the depths of the Underworld seep into the mortal realm. Beasts that should be no longer alive roam freely, for he says so. And to him belongs, above everything, the Realm of the Dead.

>North. The land of cold. Going north and to the east....I don't know, child. Nothing but darkness. I have never found a soul who knows what is there; maybe the Mad Queen knows. I don't, however, and it disturbs my soul. The only thing that comes from the dark and the cold is the laughter, the mad laughter of The Dark God. Let us not speak any longer.

>And to the north and to the west....Ah. The Frozen Kingdom. There is nothing but cold and death in there now; once, the Ice Queen walked as any other, but not anymore. Her people are frozen in an eternal ice, and the snowfall never stops. She walks the frozen streets talking to the frozen people and weeping in despair. And every day, the ice inches closer to the rest of the world. She was driven mad by her own curse, and her despair shall eventually bring the cold to everything else.

If she really wanted to, and went crazy enough, she could make all sorts of horrible icy abominations out of her frozen subjects.

You're in Agrabah and you're hired as mercenaries for a trade caravan, you also have a message to deliver from Jafar to Hades

So the two major forces in the world are the two dark gods, Hades and Chernobog, yes? It seems that their rise to power could easily be what tipped the balance in the favor of villainy as a whole, and I'd imagine that many of the villains are enthralled to them in some way.

Time travel is a major plot point is Cinderella 3. After the fall of Atlantis, the Victorians combined their knowledge of time magic and the power of Atlantean crystals to visit various eras directly, fulfilling many a Victorian romantic's history dreams. Unfortunately, on one of those trips, Shan Yu killed the visitors and stole the machine. He then found allies throughout the timeline and selectively altered history to ensure his immortality and dominance.

But foolish princes wielding magic swords of truth have risen to oppose him. Before the final blow was struck, he hurled them into the future where his evil was law. Now they must return to the past and undo the future that is Shan Yu.

>>
>>36007100

Why would Elsa be a lich?

I can see Frollo, but I'd think that Elsa would just want to die after everything went fucked up for her after Anna's death and her kingdom froze forever
>>
>>36007100, I really like those ideas, but I'm sort of inclined to make Elsa less a villain on the world stage and more like what >>36006463 suggests: a lonely, mad ice queen ruling over a country that only she can live in along with her frozen subjects and her snow golems. She tries to keep everyone away, and just wants to be left alone with her failure and her people. If the players could only manage to heal her heart, a tiny bit, she might actually be an ally, and a strong one.
>>
The Horned King overthrew King Richard, and banished John to Naboombu, where he lost what little sanity he had left.
>>
>>36007100
>>36007172
I don't quite see her being a lich, but at the same time I do see her as one of those beings who is cursed to never the release of death.

>>
>>36003268
this
>>36003340
>>36003268
The Horned King ends up as somebodies subordinate. Likely Maleficent's or Hades'
>>
So can we assume that Arrendelle might be the only place that is NOT corrupted by sickening ammounts of evil, but is just full of shit because Elsa has gone mad with despair?

I think it is nice to think. Nobody else wants to rule what is essentially neutral territory - Hell, Chernabog is the neighbor and he isn't there. That must mean that Elsa's magic is some Elder Level shit.

And this is how the world would start to change? The party would have to try to melt the Ice Queen's heart, bring the tiniest ammount of hope to that land, and so they may have something to hope on if they want to change the world
>>
>>36007221
If we want to connect the plots, King Richard wasn't always an animal.

Blame Madam Mim for his transformation.

Then they tried to go on a crusade to get rid of the curse, and their target was Jafar.
>>
>>36007242
I don't see him being a subordinate, at least not knowingly. He's not too bright, and Hades is quite cunning and charismatic, so he may often be a pawn in the plans of the Lord of Death.
>>
>>36007242
Eh, Horned King seems to be doing his own thing. Probably in league with Hades
>>
>>36007300
It's simple. Elsa's frost magic just rendered the place so cold that everything is frozen solid. The place is only neutral because there's nothing there but despair and ice. You can hide there, but eventually you too will succumb and walk out into the frostmourn.

As for Chernabog, why would he care? That place is already devoid of life. It's ruled by a queen of despair, who will do nothing to oppose him or stand in his way. And those fools that go there hoping that they ran away from his evil? He laughs as they freeze to death, their hopes of freedom and a better life snuffed out in the ice.
>>
>>36007300
I originally posted the idea of the ice-people-golems and I didn't imagine it like the scourge but more like an Elsa driven half mad by grief trying to bring her fallen subjects back to life using her powers of snow based life making.

They're not evil or zombies, just not very good at being normal people, as they were brought to life by somebody who hadn't seen her subjects since she was like, 8.

A grim, and sad reflection of the queen on her kingdom. An entire people reduced to little more than icy puppets playing house.
>>
>>36007306
Madam Mim and the Horned King are in cahoots. Those houses that swore fealty to the Horned King were allowed to keep their land - Clayton, Radcliffe, Wendy, Cruella de Vil, Alice, etcetera, are descendants of these houses. Those that didn't were either exterminated or transformed into animals.

Perhaps the Horned King managed to get his hands on the once-lost Sword in the Stone dipped it into the Black Cauldron, and now it resurrects those it kills

Right. I like the idea that Arrendell is not an evil place, but is a place that has become utterly devoid of hope and warmth, ruled over by a queen driven mad through loneliness and despair. Not evil, and not completely and utterly beyond saving.

Frozen was more a movie with multiple half-villains. Elsa works better for the tone of this setting.

Atlantis, under the rule of the immortal President-For-Life Rourke, is- surprisingly- one of the last bastions of relative freedom in the world. Protected by its shields and the thread of MAD, it has become a safe haven for refugees. It's extremely militarized; loyalty to the President and military service are rewarded with the immortality crystals, reinforcing the regime. Its armed forces are essentially mercenaries, capable of turning the tide of any battle with their Atlantean weaponry, and the President-For-Life's rule is dictatorial at best, but at least he's human, and joining the mercenaries- or becoming one of their camp followers- is a better life than most.
>>

Dear God, I see Mulan marrying the Hun in order to further unite her people against the forces of Chernabog and the Horned King, who was forced into Chernabog's servitude after being forcibly expelled by the Fey and the Witch-kind of the West.

The Hunnic Dynasty just barely stands against the apocalyptic forces of the Cauldron Born, while Hades, Jafar and Elsa wage war against Chernabog.

The Great Devil could be put down, if only those spiteful women of the West would get their shit together and join forces with the current three.
>>
>>36007646
The Black Cauldron might have been a forgettable movie, but its source material (The Prydain Chronicles) was a pretty good series of novels. Not to mention that Annuvin, one of the characters that the Horned King is a composite of, is basically a Welsh Sauron Medium-Light.

What of Princess Kidagakash? I know that her being fused with the Heart of Atlantis was meant to kill her eventually, but it's more fun if she is still conscious and aware, and she works through whispers and golems and is a subversively stabilizing force working within Rourke's regime and his Grand Temple/R&D Department.

>>
>>36007996
as soon as she learns whats out there, hell, she will probably help him

In this setting, Rourke's desire for militarization isn't even villainous. Hell, he probably told Milo that this was the only Human force with may have harnessed magic as technology.

He's a rough man, but he would be the right one.

I propose that in the next thread we go in a little deeper on what's going on with the different parts of the world and how it would be possible to run campaigns in that setting

Even if the world has gone to shit there has to still be some sort of chance for heroes to arise around the world, right?
