Welcome to the XIX installment of "Disney Villains Victorious."

Disney Villains Victorious is a new /tg/ homebrew project based on the idea of a world, not entirely unlike our own, in which all the villains from all the Disney animated feature films were not defeated at the ends of their movies but were instead victorious, completing their goals in part or in whole.

It is a world in which Ursula rules the seas, defied only by the uncatchable Pirate Lords, the cutthroat merchants of the East India Trading Company and the might of Atlantis and its magitech-toting mercenaries. It is a world where the grasslands and jungles and forests are prowled not only by fearsome primal beasts like Shere Kahn and Scar but also by the ruthless, tireless hunters that stalk them. It is a world where Europe has been divvied up between evil sorcerous monarchs like Maleficent, the Horned King, Grimhilde and Jafar, mad, inquisitorial clergymen like Frollo, and Dark Gods like Hades and Chernobog.

It is not, however, a world completely devoid of courage, heroism or hope. Around the world, the PCs' characters and their allies plot and plan, fight and strive and win their own victories against the villains that would rule them. The time to fight and to be free is now.

I searched all the Disney characters considered to be 'giant', which includes guys as small as Black Pete. If there were ogres, I would have found them.

But, as you said, it wouldn't be unreasonable to include characters from Mickey shorts just for the sake of having giants. After all, giants are a pretty ubiquitous monster throughout Europe.

So, Prydain and the rest of Europe has giants now, and they are indeed quite giant. How does this change everything, other than giant skeletons showing up among the Cauldronborn?
>>
>>36140835
Chances are they serve the Fae as shock troops. When they want a particularly persistent fortress destroyed and the Fey Hunters (Manhunters?) just aren't doing it, they send the Giants.
>>
We also have dwarves, who I imagine are enslaved by Grimhilde to mine and make excellent weapons and armour for her troops. Nothing but the best! I probably should've included that in her KLR.
>>
>>36140893
I'd imagine the Seven might be leading an uprising.

Not much of a song writer, but I took a shot at adapting "I'll Make a Man Out of You" into a song that our Mulan the Undying could sing to her new recruits, living and dead.

[Mulan]
>Let's get down to business;
>To defeat the Huns;
>They thought my death would end this;
>But it's just begun.
>I know you're mad, scared and upset;
>But you can bet before we're through;
>Somehow I'll free our land from Shan Yu.

>Tranquil are the grave sites;
>But there lie within.
>A thousand-thousand soldiers;
>That will help us win.
>Be not afraid to do what it takes;
>Because together we'll make it through;
>Somehow I'll free our land from Shan Yu.

[Recruits]
>There's blood and incense on her breath.
>Can't live up to what she's demanding.
>I am but one man in the crowd.
>This woman's got 'em scared to death.
>How is it now that she's still standing.
>I'll do all my ancestors proud.

[Chorus]
>Free our land
>We heed the will of the reverend spirits;
>Free our land
>Prepared to fight on through death and more;
>Free our land
>Minds, hearts and souls joined in righteous purpose;
>Together we will unite and win the war!

[Mulan]
>Time is racing toward us till the Huns' demise;
>Heed my every order and you might survive;
>Be not afraid to do what it takes;
>Because together we'll make it through;
>Somehow I'll free our land from Shan Yu.

[Chorus]
>Free our land
>We heed the will of the reverend spirits;
>Free our land
>Prepared to fight on through death and more;
>Free our land
>Minds, hearts and souls joined in righteous purpose;
>Together we will unite and win the war!

>Free our land
>We heed the will of the reverend spirits;
>Free our land
>Prepared to fight on through death and more;
>Free our land
>Minds, hearts and souls joined in righteous purpose;
>Together we will unite and win the war!

Mirror Kingdom's pretty big, though, and so is the land of the Holy Lich. With such stiff competition around, are they still able to carry on their violent and fairly carefree lifestyle? Or have the days of pillaging giants come to an end?
>>
Ok, i'm new and I haven't looked through all the archived threads so maybe it's already been suggested, but what about The Nightmare Before Christmas? Has that been included or have you guys decided it wouldn't fit?

You could do something like a seperate realm or a pocket dimension where Oogy Boogy has defeated Jack Skellington and taken over the christmas, easter, whatever other holiday world. So instead of the standard fare you get messed up mockeries of what those holidays used to be.

played with, but never went anywhere

Someone mentioned 365/24/7 Bug Day
>>
>>36140990
Don't think anything's been cemented for Oogie yet, couple ideas floating around.
One is that he succeeded in killing Santa and runs the North Pole now.
Other is that he loves gamblin' so much that he's in charge of all the casinos out west.
>>
>>36141017
I think so, but whoever's in charge of the pastebins needs to start digging through the past 5 threads or so, lots of new traits have shown up recently.
>>
>>36141064
He gives bugs to all the naughty boys and girls. Grimhilde is really pissed off about the worms in her makeup box.

>>36141064
There was also this from one of the past threads.

>Just like the opening of Nightmare Before Christmas, the Bugs Day parade sweeps through towns and causes people to dance and sing before hurling themselves into the pot of snake-and-spider stew.

>As the king of Holidays, everyone gets a Boogie Present. Pray you don''t survive your Boogie present.
>>
>>36141017

Thanks. The idea just caught itself in my brain until I banged it out. Wish I wasn't at work so I could contribute more.
>>
>>36141191
Hate to disappoint, but the Refuge of te Far was cut about 4-5 threads ago and replaced with Yzma's tributaries. The idea of a big "good" empire just didn't really fit. We could reuse this for something else though.
>>
>>36141204
>>36141105
Bug's Day would be a good angle, sort of a holiday event boss.
All of the kings get annoyed because Oogie's parades somehow worm their way into their realms no matter how well-protected, where he sows chaos with his bug brigades in the name of holiday spirit.
>>

Reposting my punch fairy stat-up from last thread in case anybody has tips or ideas

-But I Did Not Shoot The Deputy: +3 when trying to determine someine's character (can't quote it perfectly because in my phone)

-Combo: If your Nimbleness exceeds that of the foe by at least 5 points, you can attack a second time in the same turn.
>>
>>36141304
So, it's a small thing, but should Turbo-Racing be the most popular game in the world?
>>
>>36141273
Oh, and Merida up in Scotland against the rampaging Mor'du.
>>
>>36141273

If I remember rightly, there a few VERY rare Pixar references, like Charles Muntz being a member of the Huntsmen and his airship being heir mobile base, but that's it as far as I know.
>>
>>36141323
WiR is actually Disney, but a lot of modern/sci-fi Disney is being put off for now too, like Big Hero 6 or Lilo & Stitch.
>>
>>36141350
Did we ever settle anything about the Sheriff of Nottingham? Or is that too cartoony now?
>>
>>36141216
And I wish I was at home too, plinking away at the tales of King Arthur's knights.

Speaking of King Arthur, I was reading through the lore document and found a bit about Eugene being a member of the Round Table...it got me thinking. What if the Round Table extends far beyond Prydain, and is actually an alliance between many of the Disney princes, made for the purpose of getting their kingdoms back one at a time?
>>
>>36141324

Someone suggested having Robin Hood be a legacy type character because the actual fox himself is missing, presumed dead.

Merida would be really neat to have as a successor IMO.
>>
>>36141350

Right. As if now, they're part if a theoretical modern-age expansion.
>>
>>36141365
The beast-men of Britain are now counted among the ranks of the Horned King's Cauldronborn legions.
>>
>>36141365
I think the plan was that Prince John and the Sheriff succeeded, but the Horned King transforming most of Britain into a zombie wasteland forced him out. He's sulking on the Island of Naboombu right now, but it hasn't been added to the map, we need to wait for the Cartographer to get back.
>>
>>36141417
Either on Naboombu, or in the courts of the Pridelands, petitioning Scar's aid against the Horned King.
>>
>>36141437
Either way, still pitching a fit while he demands everyone else fix things for him. Classic John.
>>
>>36141417
I liek to think that as soon as they killed Robin, king Richard and start gloating, the Cauldron-Mist starts rolling in, with the Horned King at the storm's front.

>Two kings in one day. My my, this will be one for the books.
>>
>>36141365
Either he's still the bodyguard/right hand man of King John (general consensus is that he has found refuge in the Pridelands, and costantly pesters Scar to launch an assault on Prydain and help him reclaim his kingdom) or he told him to take a hike and is now another of the Horned King's henchmen.
>>
>>36141461
>Why does every other king have their own country except for me! It's unfair! It's miserably unfair!
>[thumb sucking intensifies]
>>
>>36141511
>God-liege, why did you not kill and raise King John?
>And have him sully the ranks of my beloved Cauldron-Born?
>>
>>36141511

>[thumb sucking intensifies]

Did you think up any fluff for who Simmertap is as a character? Could add the to the example character list with the other three. Also, I don't think those three are up to date on the pastebin. I remember Anon fleshing their descriptions out a but more in the early threads.

There has to be a link between this guy and Kaa. Two snakes, clearly not of the same species, separated by thousands of miles, nearly on opposite ends of the continent, and they both have the same hypnotic ability? Unless hypnosis is just something inherent to constrictor snakes, something has to be up.
>>
>>36141632
Maybe a power/trait for snakes is Swirly Eyes/Dance of the Hunger (from the book), available only for large snakes.
>>
>>36141655
I'd only have called Hiss a medium snake, though. No way he could've fit a child in his gullet.
>>
shouldn't we make the mission in hunnic china twofold:
first part: depose shan yu and have him executed
second part: prevent the 12 great houses from wiping each other out to find the next emperor
>>
>>36141699
>first part: depose shan yu and have him executed
>second part: prevent the 12 great houses from wiping each other out to find the next emperor
>And that's the story of how my character ended up as the Emperor of China.png
>>
>>36141632
I'd be down with Hiss abandoning John and setting up shop in Kaa's realm.

He's still a simpering toady but now he's got a snake to suck up to.
>>
>>36141770
Makes sense, heard about Kaa from Scar and abandoned John now that he's utterly powerless.
>>
>>36141802
John still has the Sherrif though. Although he's a washed up drunk.
>>
>>36141770
>>36141736
I presume that the ability of medium and large snakes to hypnotize would be something known instinctively. Otherwise, we'd have to figure out exactly who they learned this ability from...
>>
>>36141655
I am in favor of this

Trait for snakes, perhaps all reptiles
Like a Bird in Front of a...: Snakes of Medium or larger size can hypnotize one target per scene. Target must be able to make eye contact and Hypnosis takes 2 rounds to happen. If successful, +3 to all persuasion checks. Any command that would cause the victim to harm themselves causes them to snap out of it and distrust the Snake, -4 to all further attempts.
>>
>>36141531

Not a lot. I was thinking that she'd have escaped from being a prisoner in a pirate ship and would be incredibly frustrated about how there's so little fun and good in the world nowadays. Wants to beat back evildoer with magic and bring back good magicians because magic is for fun, tricks and hilarious mischief, notnfor enslavement and eternal darkness

That said, if I had to decide on ideals and goals...

Ideals:

-Defend and support those that use magic for good

-Defeat those that use evil magic

-Have fun! (Punching is fun.)

Goals:

-Bring good and neutral magic back as the most proeminent

-Personally take down evil sorcerors like Jafar and Maleficent

-Fun! (I'm not very good at this)

Anybody got tips? I know I missed up some
>>
>>36141817
I'm guessing that Trigger and Nutsy are hanging out with the Beatles vultures somewhere in Shere Khan's domain. They're still trying to figure out how to fit in without armor and crossbows.
>>
>>36141853
Just shallow enough to be the comic relief.
>>
>>36141732
>>36141699

That's actually a good point. I like that. In the same way that the Adendelle Campaign teaches players and characters that not all "BBEGs" necessarily need to be killed for the party to be victorious, having killing Shan Yu be only the first half of the Hunnic China Campaign shows then that just because the BBEG is killed it doesn't immediately make all the country's problems go away.
>>
>>36141732

Now, this is the story all about how

China's life got turned upside down

So I'd like to take a minute, just listen up Mina

And I'll ya about how I became Emperor of China
>>
>>36141947
Proceed.....
>>
>>36141853
>>36141873

I what you've got a lot. She'd make a good comic relief but with a good deal of depth of feeling and conviction in her. She's probably get along with the Atlantean Mechanic character as they both seem to have a penchant for trouble making.
>>
>>36141873

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Is there any way I can make her a little less shallow? I always end up making shallow characters and then they just spiral out once I start playing
>>
>>36141892
Should we employ this mentality for the other campaigns?
"Not everything is as simple as it first appears."
Could we make it so that defeating doctor facilier makes the friends collect everyone's debts at once?
>>
>>36141971
I've always started with shallow characters myself. Relying on campaign events to provide character depth doesn't work for everyone, I guess.

Try tying her to a specific ship, a specific part of the world, a specific ideal of 'fun'.
>>
>>36141975
Maybe not at once, as Facilier's promised every Shadowlander's soul to the Other side and the party should have some way to stop it before everyone in his realm gets their soul ripped out.
>>
>>36141975
>>36142012
That can tie into the Other Worlds too, since Facilier was keen on snatching those up for his Friends.
>>
>>36141417
Sorry, I've been pretty busy today
Check the Chagos Island
>>
>>36141975
Killing Facilier seems to restore order to the deep south but it marks the player characters for death. They will be targeted and hunted by a vicious killer. They can run, but they can't hide. Not as long as they are stalked by the assassin known only as Proud
>>
>>36142053
Thankye
>>
>>36142006

Well, it always worked well for me, but I tend to keep my characters simple without even trying

Eh, at least I'll be able to cheer up the party ofteb
>>
>>36141975
>>36142012
Or perhaps those of the Other Side need an agent to be able to interact with the mortal world. Provided Facilier is the only agent of this particular group of Friends, killing him would save all the souls of the Shadowland, as the Friends would be unable to collect.

There's always going to be political loose ends to clean up, though. That shit's like death and taxes. Or for the tributaries of Yzma, death, taxes, more taxes and even more taxes.
>>
>>36142012
so in a way, Killing the BBEG in this campaign puts the party on a timer.

So would beating Frollo make it easier to take down the Hunters Club in some way, after all with one of their members distracted it will be harder for them to co-ordinate once you do take them on.
>>
>>36142088

Could always make it so that in order to get the true disney ending, you have to find a way to first cancel the the soul-debts - this is where a guy with a lot of Occult ranks starts cracking his head - and then defeat Facilier

The Friends will be mighty pissed off
>>
>>36142053
Is it just me, or is Chernabog's realm expanding ever so slightly with each new map?
>>

Nah, Alameda Slim has nearly the same color though. The lists are divided up by continent.
>>
>>36142180
Yeah, Dread needs to start using a different yellow for Alameda's realm.

Do we have plains Indians out there in the Wild West?
>>
>>36142078

There's nothing wrong with having a simple or comedic character idea. In a setting as relatively dark as this one, a little levity will go a long way.

If you wanted to make her a more complicated character though, you could go the ugly duckling route with her being a ROBUST fairy that had to learn to make her own fun and make one of her Goals to find acceptance, or give her issues with authority or responsibility that get explored throughout the campaign or something.
>>
>>36142182
>>36142169
>>36142159
Well alright, but if I start seeing him reaching outside of Eurasia.....
>>
>>36141632
Disney was cheap as fuck and wanted to reuse as much animation as they could.
>>
>>36141817
I still like the idea that the Sheriff works for the Horned King now. Gives a midlevel boss for anyone involved there, and someone to lend some character to mobs of Cauldron-Born.
>>
>>36142290
Oh, I knew that, but if he just wanted to cut down on new things he had to draw, he didn't really accomplish anything by giving Hiss hypnotic powers.

>>
>>36142317
A Cauldronborn Wolf? I can dig it. It might also characterise John a bit more. He's a guy who's literally lost everyone who was ever loyal to him but he's still plugging away, desperate to get his realm back.

>>36142336
Yeah, he was the only candidate that fulfilled the most important of the Horned King's requirements: a deep, gravelly voice.

>>36142267

>>
>>36142459
At the very end, a Nazi landing party arrives in England but get scared away be magically animated suits of armour. It's all very silly but if the villains won, then technically there should be a pocket of Nazis in England.

Nazis that are now under the Horned King's rule...

so lets get this straight

literally anything that has died in the horned king's lands have become couldron born

this effectively means

The people of sword and the stone are cauldronborn
Cauldron born Insects,mammal and reptiles
Most of the people from Robin Hood are cauldron born
The Nazi's from Bedknobs and broomsticks are now cauldron born

Bruce Forysth is a cauldron born (played as a muggar)
>>
>>36142474
OK, my thought is this. So that guys wanted a pure civilization unsullied by dangerous outsiders.

He can't send Radcliffe back into the sea, and he realizes more of them will come. So he uses his demagoguery and violence to drive the Powhattan inland, away from Virginia, and start a violently isolationist society that drives off or kills outsiders as soon as they're spotted.

That possibility would be very interesting if there were already plains Indians (let's call them Sioux, it's catchier) whose land the Powhattan are now trying to settle, creating a three-way territory war between the cowboys, the Sioux and the Powhattan.

I like it. Sort of puts me in mind of a down to earth western character in a world he views as having gone mad, but that he's obligated to make a name for himself in.

>>36142506

Elsa did not save Anna, but she isn't evil. Not in the way that most other Villains in this setting are evil. She's frozen Arendelle solid because her grief has turned into madness and she's lost almost all control over the super blizzard she'd conjured up. Meanwhile, her longing for her dead sister has animated her body, now completely turned to ice, creating the character Ice Anna. She knows that she's not the real Anna, but tries her darnedest to pretend to be for Elsa's benefit, and to try to experience what it's like to be human.

The cauldronborn possibilities are endless.

Question: What sort of basic adventure might a low-level party have in Atlantis? Ideally emphasizing the peculiarity of the nation's militaristic, "Atlantean Americana" culture and environs? So far all I have in mind is that the party begins finding "Kida Lives" graffiti around the city and try to investigate who this "Kida" is and what it means.
>>
>>36143101
The city's been portrayed as having a not insignificant refugee population. Maybe they've been hired as private investigators to look into a murder in the tenements?
>>
>>36143101
>Something's been digging up gardens and lawns in the nice part of town.
>The holes are massive, easily big enough to fit a man in.
>The local community group has hired you to go down into this tunnel network and flush out whatever's causing it.

>It's just that Mole's gotten bored.
>>
>>36143157

A good idea! Since Atlantis is arguably to most modern nation in the world, a lot of early 20th century themes and plotlines could be fit right in without any muss or fuss.

And there folks, we have the next Disney movie to use the magic feather.
>>
>>36143860
I like this story.
>>
>>36143808

Exactly. Maybe, depending on the perp's Debts and the Friends trying to collect them, everything starts off real small time: some Atlanean youth's comic book gets filched, an exile's luggage gets ransacked while they aren't paying attention, things are getting stolen or messed with and the refugees' harborside slums and dockside tent city starts buzzing with rumors and mistrust. It doesn't just stop at petty thefts though, and slowly but surely escalates as the Shadowlander in question gets increasingly desperate to pay off what he owes by any means the Friends offer him.

One possible solution might be, somehow, to beseech Kidagakash, the Heart of Atkantis for aid. I bet that bright old crystal could shine a light bright enough to melt those shadows away for good.

Martin av Sverdkyldige
Medium-Size Knight (Strong guy)

Agility: 10
Intelligence: 6
Sensibility: 6
Charm: 8

Skills:
Melee: 3
Athletic 2
Travel 1 (+3? 4? in cold/forest)
Persuade 1
Prevent Harm 2
Endure 2
Brawl 1

Traits:
But It Is Not This Day!: Can make speeches to render the party immune to fear.
Etiquette: Gains a +3 to social situations among the nobility.
Not On My Watch!: +2 to melee when fighting those that would hurt the innocent.

Powers:
Class power goes here
The Tale is not Over: When fighting with a sword and on his last strike, Martin may spend a will point to gain a single strike back, at the cost of -2 Prevent Harm for that round.

Ideals:
Protect the weak and innocent.
Challenge things to noble combat.
Make and help friends.

Goals:
Restore the Kingdom of Arendelle.
Bring God back to the world, figuratively or literally.
Create a personal epic.

He's intended to be an Arrendellian knight (A dying breed since muskets came around) who, being 20 and never having been in anything outside of a tavern fight once, is, while sarcastic and witty a-la-Phoebus, very much naive and sheltered, believing fully in the ideas of Chivalry and personal honor and glory and whatnot, to the point of not only straight-up refusing to fight Elsa, whom he still views as his legitimate queen, but actually attacking any party member who does. High focus on character development - potentially becoming more jaded, etc. Also prefers to be called 'Sverd' because he thinks Martin isn't manly enough, and is torn between his teachings of pursuit of personal glory, loyalty to Arrendelle and loyalty to God, as well as his 'personal' ideas that everyone ever can be redeemed, and absolutely no one needs to die. Not stupid, but SUPER easy to manipulate by praying on his incredibly innocent ideals.
Pic related is a pretty decent char art similar to him appearance-wise, quite lean.

Thoughts and honest criticism GREATLY appreciated.
>>
>>36144100
Also:
Equipment – 1x Aging Heraldic Fur-and-Plate Armor, 1x Unmaintained Heraldic Longsword, 1x Hunting Knife

Little extra note since character limit was on last post: I intended Martin to be as close to a Disney Prince as possible, without being a ‘generic fuck toy’ like that one anon put it a few threads back, while still being an interesting enough character and relatively distinct with some actual flaws (Belief in personal inadequacy and unworthiness + unmanliness in eyes of parents/superiors, peers, God, covered up by sarcasm and occasional holier-than-thou attitude). Hopefully putting quite some emphasis on character development based on how the story goes and background, which I have planned out pretty nicely in contrast with his naïve character. Did I do okay? Totally open to criticisms and stuff here. Also, if anyone is hosting a game, please tell me, I don’t have a real-life group because no one likes /tg/ stuff where I live, especially my friends.
>>
OK, so I kind of feel like Louie should be trying to ingratiate himself to Roarke and any magic user her can find.

His whole character was a self-centered prometheus. He's not going to be satisfied being Jungle VIP. He's going to be bored and frustrated and his ambitions will take him higher.

So given his appreciations and understanding, it seems like he'd be desperate to get his hands on the latest technology, and magic.
>>
>>36144155
Also, given his goals, shouldn't a significant portion of his kingdom be human?

I figure he probably also dresses like a human too.
>>
>>36144100
>>36144127

Wow, you basically made a really solid prince for Elsa. One that's arguably better and less one-directional than other real princes like prince eric, while still being a viable and cool character.
I'm actually pretty impressed. Would adventure with.

>>36144208

>>36144155
>>36144208
>>36144244
I'd assume he would be trying to get anything he can from the East India Trading Company, though he'd be a sucker for any deal. Hades might be a better choice though, he's closer, plus has the whole fire aspect that has Louie so obsessed.
>>
>>36144233
Aw, thanks, anon.

>>
>>36144100

Very good, very good!
>>
>>36144279
See, here's where extrapolating from the movies gets complicated. Louie didn't strike me as obsessed with fire, he was obsessed with social climbing, and becoming civilized.

He just seemed to think fire was the key to that. I'm assuming once her got fire and "strolled right into town'" trying to be a man, he quickly discovered he needed other things, primarily money, and shortly thereafter weapons.
>>
>>36144100

Chivalrous/10

Would adventure with
>>
>>36144127
Pretty good, I like that he's prince material without being a bland figurehead. Might need some tweaking (I don't know the technical stuff as well), but he's a guy I would DM for.

Fair point, he'd be after just about everything.
>>
>>36144100
>>36144127

You've got a really solid character here, and I think you've done a pretty good job at making a believable DVV prince.

How would he react to meeting Ice Anna and Olaf, do you suppose?
>>
>>36144477
I'm kind of picturing, like I said, Louie has all the trappings of being human these days and thinks Kaa and Scar, and Sher Khan are gauche.

I think maybe his kingdom is also happy to take human refugees so long as they're useful.
>>
>>36144127
>>36144100
Offhand, I'd like to point out that It's Just A Flesh Wound gives you back 2 strikes for a will point, no penalties, no special circumstance, no questions asked and no one seems to have objected to it. Also, if you dig back 3 threads (or maybe 4) in the archive, you'll find a bunch of knightly powers and traits I put up.

By now I'm sure that my brain has been thoroughly poisoned by D&D 3.5, because the first thing I thought when I looked at the build was "It's trying to do two things, and it's not optimized for either." But then I remembered that this system won't repeatedly stomp on your head if you're not perfectly optimized. And of course, you'd only suffer from having a less-than-optimized party face if your GM hit you with intrigue and courtly drama all the time. There are plenty of campaigns I would gladly accept this guy into, both from the point of a player and of a GM.

Oh, and the concept is sound.
>>
>>36144540
Oh man, here's a really dark thought: Louie is really happy to spend time with McLeach. He has distanced himself so thoroughly that he has no problem hunting animals for sport, and even hosts McLeach in his kingdom where they hunt his former subjects.

Louie refuses to acknowledge them as such.
>>
>>36144526
Not totally sure, but it'd probably involve at least a minor flip-out when he realized it was actually Princess Anna - he's never actually seen either princess, and rumors about them have been few and of little substance since Coronation day was the first day either of them had come out to the public, and was immediately followed by the freezing of the entire subcontinent. Martin was maintaining the family house (Much to his personal anger) while his father went down to pay his respects as a minor noble. The rest is history.
>>36144623
Yeah, I designed him with less regard for practicality than I perhaps should have, but he works pretty well as a minor diplomat and mainly as a fighter. That's also quite useful info, I'll definitely check the archive and revamp stuff.

That, and I think Louie could be very easy to get to at least cooperate with the party. He doesn't actively try to hurt people. And I think he admires a party of PCs that are trying to pull themselves up by their bootstraps like he did.

I also had this thought, Louie and Khan have to be caught in a perpetual no-contest scenario.

Louie wanted to be a man, and have the power of fire.

Fire is the one thing Khan can't stand against.

But Khan wanted a Jungle free from man. So by becoming a man, Louie can no longer contest Khan's jungle.

And so, their only hope is for somebody else to take out the other one. Cue endless Plot Hooks.

The tiers have been expanded.

Social mechanics are fine as they are. Not sure why they need to be expanded.
Number crunching is.... as done as it's going to be without a playtest. I've balanced it on statistical averages on 3d6.

I'm working on Powers now right after I finish a surprise ally for the PCs.

Also, holy shit, 20 threads in a week. Well done, /tg/. You've made me proud.

Alright, I'm doing a small archive dive here, so I'm just pointing out what's going on

I'm taking all traits that I can find, including the ones already approved, and compiling them all. I'm making the format a bit more organized too, because frankly the current pastebin has like three different kinds of formatations and spacings and it's a mess

I'm putting the generic traits right on the top, so if anybody want to take the pastebin later and just copy the more organized version on its pastebin, be my guest.

Also, powers. I'm placing the powers on where I, personally, think that they should be but feel free to discuss and change them somewhere else, I'm just trying to get as much info as I can into those.

That said, I'll go back to diving.
>>
>>36146017
It is rather impressive, moreso because its not JUST discussion of the fluff but also crunch.

Still, no reason to get cocky. Game needs playtesting, expansions to expand upon, space to space spacing spacerton. SPACE.

well, it's more that you can't play a magic hero in core (what we're building right now) in Villains Victorious. They'll probably be available in one of the first splats we do though, the vote on magic was 11/10 against magic.

Nothing definitive has been decided yet. But just for you, I have two powers that could be seen as magic -- offensive, and defensive.

Alright everybody, listen up.

I did a quick search throughout the last six threads and this is what I complied

TRAITS: http://pastebin.com/uHCXg4EV

POWERS:http://pastebin.com/pQDDqisU

Apologies in advance for not separating any of them properly, from balanced to imbalanced. I know it's kind of a mess, but I got as many as I could.

I did NOT GET RACIAL TRAITS, OR AT LEAST I TRIED TO AVOID THEM.

And yeah, those are seriously all the powers. We really didn't manage to pump out too many of these, did we?

In any case, I hope this can be of some help.

Obs: The ones from the most recent threads are at the top, with the ones nearing the bottom being the earlier ones.
>>
Are we planning on posting the three example characters we were working on into the 1d4chan article? Got stats for all of them, but only the Black Knight, who was intended as a challenge of brute force, has his fully story written up. The Green Knight is next; as the test of intellect, Arthur must beat him at Nine Man Morris. The Green Knight is so good at the game that Arthur resorts to drawing his own lines on the board to win. Then comes the Blue Knight, the test of Agility; not sure what I should do for him. Then comes the Red Knight, who tests Arthur's charisma by summoning a court of noble ghosts and seeing how he does. The last is the White Knight. Seeing Arthur with the other 4 knights is proof enough for him; instead of a challenge, he explains that each of the knights are 5th in their own line of masters and apprentices who have been waiting for Arthur's arrival for over a century.

Now I'm home, time to get to typing....

So it's one word?

Nob, back me up here.
>>
>>36147171

I've been there since that discussion and I'm ready to put my hand on the fire and say it's Prevent Harm/Avoid Harm

People get a little too touchy with the literal interpretation of words, and "Withstand" sounds a lot like tanking. It's the same deal with "Dodge", except it's the opposite word

I mean, that's what the reasoning was, right? Guys?
>>
>>36147171
I may not carry the weight Nob does in the crunch department, but I seem to remember it being Prevent Harm too, like >>36147215 said. We changed it from dodge because some anons were freaking out that "Dodge" included parrying.

>>36147171
I've been calling it Prevent Harm. It's clunky, but it describes exactly what it does.

This entire project is a collective effort by anonymous neckbeards on the internet.
Adding in a 'thanks page' to plaster a bunch of shitty screen names for a second of internet fame is attention whoring at it's prime. I refuse to acknowledge any 'thanks page' you make. The ONLY reason you should be tripping in the first place is so that we can identify chains of work and people who are doing specific, linked work, not so that we can have some names on a page at the end.

And that shall do for the thanks page, Nob.

>>
>>36147584
I'd agree with a general thank you statement, but no names should be said. I'm pretty sure none here are using internet handles that they use outside of these threads, so a list of names would be pretty pointless.

Either a listed person drops the name after the project's done and putting it there is basically pointless, or they keep it and we've created a new tripfag.

Although he was at some point a outlaw, he has created his own set of laws, and feels sympathy for the little people shoved aside by the villains reign
