You are currently engaged in extreme lazing.

Is that a word? No, you're pretty sure it's a word. Maybe you're not using it right?

You let out a soft sigh as the sun's warmth does wonderful things to your back, tension evaporating in the blissful heat.

Screw words. They don't matter. You've got a rock and some sun and you aren't going to move for the rest of the day. And it's not because Mom beat you into the ground either, for once. If only Jin or Sheszka were big enough to carry you around, you could just nap to your hearts content...

You blow your hair out of your eyes as you crack them open, squinting lazily in the light as you watch your friends. At some point, Sheszka rolled onto her back, neatly tucking herself against you and snoring heavily. Jin continues to monopolized rock-space with her wings, a placid little smile across her face.

You let your eyes slip shut again, reveling in the heat and the presence of your friends.
This is the life.

There's so many things happening so fast- not the least of which is your growth. The growing up growth, not the evolution growth. Maybe you should think about the future?

You grumble a bit, internally. Maybe not the future future. Maybe like, a week ahead. One step at a time, right?
And there's lots of time. Years and years and years...

You drift off, dreaming of the time to come- of dungeons and monsters, spiders and wolves and harpies and moths, cities and caravans, the earth flowing joyously beneath your feet...

>Welcome to a short timeskip! There'll be a small pile of options to choose from, shortly. During the skip, you'll get summaries of the options chosen, and the choices of scenes as they arise.

Man, I really hope we can still go for lava spider. All the swagger of forge spider but with molten hot magma instead of weapon alteration.
>>

I really don't see the appeal in lava spider, we already got lava through our earth magic.
And molten steel manipulation is pretty much everything lava could give us and more.

Yes, but lava is cool. Plus, I'd assume it'd allow for finer control over Earth and Lava than forge powers would, which has broader combat applications.

Plus, lava is cool.
>>
An overwhelming victory for spidermom
followed by mikhael
and Earth practice eked out a single vote victory over forge.

Gimme 2d100 to start, and we can get this underway!
The next post will have the first bonus scene selection.
>>
>>36141480
Lava would actually just improve our melting ability, as REQM said when we got the forge blessing, lava is pretty much forge without fine control, so we would just melt metal into a puddle instead of forging it.
Hopefully it improves our ability to conjure lava too, because currently we need to drag it up from the depth every time, and we pretty much definitly get lava considering how easy the requirement is.

A few days later, spear in hand and Mom before you, you realize that you were wrong.
You don't have lots of time.
You barely have any at all.

Because your mother is clearly a madwoman, addicted to sparring, and if you don't manage to escape at some point you are fairly certian that you're going to die.

Sheszka is on the sidelines, cheering you on half-heartedly- Mom put her through the ringer first, this time. A trio of heavy blows has you backing up, frantically trying to knock them away with your buckler.

One blocked, two blocked, three- Nope.

The third sweeps under your guard, hammering solidly into your stomach. You can feel it through the bloody armour! You drop with a hack, trying to get your lungs running again as your mother leans idly on her spear.

This isn't fair at all. And every time you come up with a way to use your strength against her, it never works again.
Not that it's stopped you from trying. Last session, you even managed to pin her!

And when you tried it again she used some weird arm lock against you, and you had to tap at her elbow and plead for mercy. But you did get her once, so it's pretty much a victory in your book.

You manage to right yourself, though you can still feel the hammer blow she landed on you. She smiles, spins her spear and readies herself again.

You take the offensive this time- Locking your buckler arm in front of you, you take a few stabs at her as she steps side to side. You aim another at her leg- and when she shifts it, you snatch the haft of your weapon with both hands, and turn it into a haphazard golf swing, catching her in the side and knocking her back!

You actually got a half decent cheer from your wolf for that!
>>
>>36142380

And now she's back up.
And smiling.

You offer her a sickly smile of your own as she closes on you, laughing.

___________________________________________

You sleep in the arena, that night. Mom kept you working till you fell, and there really was no way you were getting back up. SHeszka managed to crawl over next to you and curl up, and you slept till the moon rose and fell above you.

so, timeskips have started.
Lets nail down a plan.

Airship?
No Airship?

Guild/No guild?
Kidnap Moth?

Which sisters do we wanna try and bring along?
Where do we go first?
>>
>>36143236
None of the above. Small party, lean party.
>>
>>36143236

We should find Mr. Mountain Spider again
>>
>>36143236
No airship yet, associated with guild but I think we'd rather wander first, we don't have a choice with Nim anyways but I'd welcome her company, bring Sara, and we go beyond the beyond.
>>
>>36143236
Finding the other forest races.
Full adventure party.
Mage(Sara), Barbarian(Sheszka), Rogue(Jin), Bard(Nin). We only need a cleric.
>>
I would like to see Lyra cook for her family. Or at least try to.

>>
>>36143236
We need to build that crabhouse.
>>
>>36143236
Airship - Not yet.
Guild - No
Kidnap moth - Yes

Which sisters do we wanna try and bring along?
All who will come.

First? No idea.
>>
>>36143426

And thus starts the Spider Family Dungeoneering Adventures! Plus Elfdad
>>
>>36143463
That reminds me that REQM should put Elfdad into the family list on the charhseets one of these days.
>>
>>36143236
>Airship?
Later. Defiantly want an airship, but later. Other things to do for now.

>Guild/No guild?
Yeah. We can still do other stuff but having a hook up with the guild is a good idea. Gives us a place to stay/leave messages for our family while we're on the road.

>Kidnap Moth?
Implying we have a choice in her coming. Kek.

>Which sisters do we wanna try and bring along?
Invite Sara.

I vote for the Forest Tour. Meet the other races that live in the Monster Forest.
>>

You were planning to take a few more lessons with Mikhael, of course. You're hardly even average at forging things, and...

Well It's frustrating to stand on the precipice of something, right? To look at your own work, and have enough knowledge to know it's not right, but not enough skill to fix it.

It's enough to drive someone mad.

So yes, you were planning for more lessons. Mom, on the other hand, was also planning for more lessons.

Which is why you dragged your spiderbutt into the village at dusk, groaning all the way. You begged your way into Jin's cabin, and passed out in record time, buried in blankets and a harpy.

You were not planning on being woken before dawn by a panicking owl.

"Lyra! Lyra!"

Your eyes slowly slide open, trying to focus.
"Lyyyyyra!"
It's Jin. Definitely Jin. She's hissing, whispering as loud as she dares, and she sounds... worried?

"Whaaaa- Jin. What?"
It's a bit hard to talk around a yawn.
Jin's hands, or claws, really- drop from your shoulders. She's no arachne, but she was giving it her all to shake you awake.

And for whatever reason, she drops them from your shoulders to your chest.

You glance down, flinching a bit as she squeezes.
"J- Jin, what're y-"
"This is our fault, isn't it?!"
"What?"

She looks at you, eyes wide, her pupils scanning your face as fast as they can move.
"Because we, we, we laid on you too often. Or too many hugs, or-"
"Jin, calm down-"
"We- There are healers, yes! In the forest. Or the moths! I'll, I'll get powder and-"

"Jin!"
"We can- I can fix this! Swelling is bad, but- Cold! Cold is-"
"Slow down, calm down-"

The harpy is all over the place, wings flapping and rattling things as she tries to move around. Her mother and father look around groggily as she knocks over a stool, grappling with a small box set on the floor.

"Wha' issss going onnn? Jin? Lyra?"
"Jin is-"
"Lyra is sick but it's okay it's my fault but it's okay-"
>>
>>36143908
"Jin, I'm not- AAAAAAAAGH!"
OH GOD ITS ICE WHERE DID SHE EVEN GET THIS WHY DID SHE STUFF IT DOWN YOUR SHIRT AGH AGH COLD COLD COLD-
"It helps the swelling, yes-"
"GODS WHAT-"

Your powers come on without any effort, your shirt starting to sizzle as you boil away the water.

At this point, the whole family is awake and watching you fanning your shirt, trying to get the ice out as Jin flails.
"Jin! Stop!"

The harpy finally comes to a halt in front of you, clutching at you despite the heat, rubbing her head into your chest.
"It's my fault I am sorry-"
"Jin!"

You manage to get your hands on her, hugging her tight until she calms. Sheszka's head has emerged behind you, watching curiously as the scene unfolds.

"Jin, what is wrong?"
"You- You're sick!"
"What? No I'm not."
"Your chest is all puffy!"

You look down at the harpy.
Yes, there is definitely a pair of breasts obscuring her.
Small, but they're there.

Oh, great. And now her mother is starting to giggle.

You try to explain as calmly as you can. Without blushing. No blushing.
"Jin, I am not sick, yes? It's- this is just something that happens. When girls grow up. Yes."
She pokes one delicately with a claw.
"You are okay? Not sick?"

You manage to catch her wings again before she starts grabbing them.
"I am fine, yes."

Her father's rolled over and gone back to sleep, but Lia is nearly cackling now, biting the blanket to try and muffle herself.
This isn't that funny! This is your job!
"We can talk about this later, yes? When everyone has slept."

She nods, solemnly, and you smile, laying back across your shell and closing your eyes.
A few seconds later, you are joined by a harpy nestling against your chest.

"Jin?"
"It is fine, yes? You are soft. And warm."
"Jin, I am not a pillow-"
She yawns.
"Jin!"
And closes her eyes.

I have a D&D character named Medio. After 10 attempts he still couldn't meet the DMs min stats, but none of his rolls were ever bad.

His performance is almost always average, percentile almost always 45-55%, and target rolls are either just over or just under what's needed. The DM has concluded that he will likely become the Demi-god of Mediocrity when he dies, as there is no other explanation for why the rolls happen that way.
>>
>>36144167
>http://pastebin.com/4YvunSEd
You got most of them correct. I think Lyra needs to say 'yes' and generally use more "spider dilect".
For example, maybe she could say "Then what about eggs Yes? Were do eggs come from?"

Other than that it was good, I had a laugh at "Lyra's innocent face". And Nialla's description of Lyra made me D'awww

There was a pair of odd phrases- Lyra calls it he delivery harpy a stork (Which may have been intentional, in which case, my bad) and tension building line was a bit awkward.
In any case:

Thanks! The stork line was already addressed as a typo, and the tension line was going somewhere but then I dropped that idea and forgot to adjust it again. I'll work on it later after I give it a break.

Forging, for the most part continues to be frustrating.

You're making just enough progress that you keep at it, but you're constantly pushing your limits.
On the plus side, you now have a fireproof harpy keeping you company.
On the downside, you have a fireproof harpy keeping you company.

"It is glowing! Is it supposed to be like that?"
You grunt, pulling the metal from the forge.
Probably a bit late. It doesn't look right, doesn't feel right.

"No, no. A bit less, yes."
Jin nods sagely, watching the fire dance.
"It is beautiful, yes?"

You grin, and the old man laughs from his post near the door.
"Never thought I'd be meeting a harpy that appreciates the forge. Or teachin' a spinner how to work metal, fer that matter."
He shakes his head, and hands you another bar.

"Into the fire again, lass. Watch it carefully."
You nod, and push the bar up to the burning coals, glowing in the forge's darkness.
There's a whole lot of waiting involved in the process.

More so when you keep messing up.

___________________________________________

By the second day, things have improved vastly.

Marginally, at least.

The metal is coming out better. You haven't missed an ingot all day. Mikahel even let you try your hand at a compound, using iron as the core of a steel blade.

That one... well, it took a few tries.
But noone can ever say that Lyra- uh. Huh.
Do you even have a last name?
Does Mom?

Dad would have to, right? He mentioned something about a family.
Anyway, nobody can say that you ever gave up!
>>
>>36145184
>But noone can ever say that Lyra- uh. Huh.
>Do you even have a last name?
>Does Mom?
Her name is Nialla Giantspiderssen.
>>
>>36145184
They can totally say that occasionally you drop from exhaustion, or that you pleaded for a break. But not giving up.
By the end of your sessions, there's so many words for metals and forging and ugh.

There's a lot of words.

Even in your dreams, you can't escape them.
Which is why you dream of being chased by an anvil while a forge angrily demands offerings of coal, while Jin dances with a living flame.
Maybe those spices were a bad idea.

You were relaxing at home-
You were trying to relax at home-
You were lying down.

Accuracy.

Anyway, you were lying down when it happened. Sara stepped up, smile on her face, and said those magic little words.
"Lyra, can you help me with a little something, yes?"

You managed to smile back, but inwardly, you froze.
Sara doesn't leave her books behind.
For anything.

Unless they're in danger.
Which usually means that she's practicing magic.
And she doesn't need you to practice magic unless-

Unless she wants a target.

You restrain your urge to cringe, pushing yourself up and standing.
"Sara? What do you need?"
Not magic not magic not magic not magic-

"Dad has been teaching me enchanting, yes? I want to try it out!"
You blink.
That sounds... Mostly harmless. Easier than dodge-the-explosive-balls, anyway.
"I can help you. No problem."

And so, down you went, Sheszka tailing you all the way to the ruins.

Strike one.

"Sara?"
"Yes?"
"Why are we in the ruins, Sara?"

Her smile stays fixed on her face, but her eyes slide away from your gaze, staring out into the forest behind you.
"Oh. Yes. Well, we do not want anything to go wrong. Of course."

Strike two.

She hands you a shield- just wood, but delicately inscribed with runes, glimmering in the sunlight. It looks like a work of art.
"What does it do?"
Her face lights up, and she starts to gesture wildly as she talks, excited to be able to explain it.
"Ah- I got the idea from you, yes?"
"From me?"

She coughs, one hand tucked behind her back as she straightens.
"Your, ah , talent. With spell disruption. I thought, if you can steal mana or spells, maybe I can make an enchantment that does the same!"
"So it eats spells? Or ruins them?"

There it is. That sinking feeling.
You knew you wouldn't get out of another rousing game of dodgespell that easily.

"Mhm, mhm."
"Sara?"
"Yes?"
"Which one, Sara."
"Oh, well, that's what the testing is for."

Strike three.
>>
>>36147033
There's something off. About the whole scene. Sara is stepping back, readying a spell to test her new enchantment, Sheszka is already standing behind her, and Dad is- Dad is-
Dad is not here.
Sara is experimenting with magic and Dad is not here.

"Sara!"
"Yes?"
"Where's Dad?"

She mumbles back an answer, and the meadow swallows it up.
"I can't hear you, yes?"
"The first one blew up, yes!"

"WHAT"
"Don't worry, this one is much safer!"
"SARA!"

The stars are already starting to move.

_________________________________________________________

"-How was I supposed to know it would explode?"
"Because the first one did?"
"It was safer!"
"How?"

"Hah?"
"How was it safer? What did you change?"
"Well, the first one, it just tried to redirect the mana, yes? But it didn't work. The enchantment just destroyed the wood."
"And this one was different?"

"Yes! This one was supposed to absorb the mana!"
"And do what?"
"What"
"What would it do with the mana, yes?"

"Ah."
"That is why it blew up, isn't it."
"Maybe a little?"
You sigh.

Either Seranthis or Nin finding us at the ruins.
>>
>>36147676
More Nin, definitly.
>>
So, next morning, you had a plan.
Specifically, you woke up at the crack of dawn, whispered to your Mom that you loved her, and bailed the hell out of the nest before anyone could use you for experiments, or as a model or as a punching bag or anything else at all.

You ran straight for the ruins, Sheszka over one shoulder. You didn't have the heart to wake her up, and you sure as hell weren't going to leave her to wake without you.
She deserves better than that.
You'll keep her happy.

You pet her head gently as you move, enjoying the crisp morning air, the scent of dew all around you.

The forest wakes around you by inches as you move, animals coming alive, bushes rustling and birds taking flight as the sky alights. The sun is making it's move, though there are a few clouds on the horizon.

You get to the ruins long before lunch, heading into them, letting the silence of the fallen stones embrace you.
It doesn't take long to reach the massive building. It sits, still and ominous, right where you left it.

Because it's a building, yes? It doesn't move.

You curl your fluff ball of a wolf up, tucking her neatly into your skull. You've gotten a lot better at keeping your temperature under control, and you raise it just a few degrees. You hear her sigh behind you, and you feel her snuggle closer to the red shell beneath her.

You nod to yourself, and pitch yourself wholly into your own reconstruction efforts.
Pillars shift, reform beneath your hands, your will. The entrance shudders, rising with a life of its own, stone knitting together. Even the wide steps beneath your feet form up, dust and dirt vanishing as the stone smooths.

You step forwards, and your will moves with you- Walls raise around you, and the room falls dark and quiet as a roof builds itself overhead. The grand stairs within, large even still, shine with a light all their own as they slip into place, cracks vanishing in the face of your power.
>>
>>36148049
You stand in a building, panting ever so slightly, your modest chest rising and falling in time with your breath.
It's probably time for a bra. Or just wrapping them.
You'll ask Mom. Maybe slip in a question about eggs, or something.

It's rare enough you can get her flustered. Without getting slammed into the arena floor, anyway.

You raise one hand overhead, calling a fountain of flame that illuminates the room, and your breath catches in your throat.

You knew-
You knew that you asked the stone to restore itself. To go back to what it was, that ancient and pristine building that had stood even through the fall of the city.
But the cracks, the dust... You didn't see this.

The walls glimmer like polished marble, shadows dancing-
Carvings wrap through the entire structure, crawling across the walls, broken only by the wide pillars supporting the roof above.
A giant spider standing over trees, monsters you don't even recognize hand in hand, water flowing in elaborate whorls throughout.
It's beautiful.

This. This is what was lost. This is why Mom and Dad pitch themselves into ruins, to glimpse things long lost.
For a minute, it all seems worthwhile to you.

You let the fire die, light fading till you stand silent in the room, the only sounds the rush of water below, and the quiet hum of your pack mates breathing.

And you turn, and head back into the light.

>>36148624

Very soon would be nice
>>
>>36148624
>>36148658
soon as we fix up the path to the main corridors.
>>
>>36148358
Of course we like Nin. Nin is best Moth and our first royal subject.
>>
>>36149062
Of course she is, she declared herself as such before we even considered the position.
>>
Outside the ruins, noon has arrived. Clouds are starting to gather still, but the heat is there. You spend a moment in the shade, leaning against the cool pillar, feeling the strength of the rock and the joy of the earth below.

You step into the light, shielding your eyes when a voice rings out through the clearing.

"You are rather awful at not being a Queen, aren't you?"

You sweep your gaze around, searching out the source of the voice- And there, atop a shattered pillar, an irritating little moth sits.
"Nin."
"Milady."

"It is Lyra, yes."
"You can't fault me getting in some practice, can you?"
"No, I am pretty sure I can. I thought you weren't allowed out?"

"Well, you know how it is."
"I remember you very clearly telling me how your mother had threatened to tie your siblings to the tree."
"Maybe."
"Nin."

"I am a lot better at not being caught than by brothers are."
"You don't think this counts as being caught?"
"You're not my mother."
"That's... fair."

"She is much smaller, to start. Why are you wearing a skull, anyway?"
The mothling flits closer, fluttering through the air and landing delicately on the edge of your bone clad carapace.
"It is a part of me, yes?"
"Has noone told you that skulls go on the inside?"

You snatch the little winged girl off your back, holding her out in front of you.
"It is-"
"Your hands!"
"Wha-"

Her fingers trace the shifting patterns across your arms, her eyes growing as she touches the warm chitin.
"You grew? Again?"
"Yes."
"It- That- When?"
>>
>>36149118
"A week ago, or so. After the dungeon."
"A dungeon?"
"It as near your village, yes? Some idiot wizard's lair."

She falls quiet in your arms, wiggling and biting at her lip as she thinks about... something.

"Lyra."
"We are using my name now?"
"Shush. When you leave- You will leave, right? The forest?"

She looks serious all of a sudden. Excited, but there's no jokes, no bowing.
"Yes. Probably. I haven't made any plans, but... I do not think I will be staying. There is so much more to see, yes?"
The look on her face is... Jealousy? Longing?

"Take me with you. Please."
You blink.
"Nin?"
"Take me with you. Hide me, if you have to. I don't want to die in the village, in the forest, without ever seeing anything. Please."

You pull her closer to you, tucking her into one arm, already reaching for her hair as she watches you.
"What about your sister?"
"SheeeEEeee-"
Her voice jumps a bit as you comb her hair, one eye drooping as she concentrates on what she's trying to say.

"-Rie. Rie is happy where she is. In the village. She even wants to be a guard, so what happened with her doesn't happen again. But I can't- I don't want that."
"You want to leave."
"Please."

We should at least tell her. I'm pretty confident Lyra can make a good case of Nin being nowhere safer than on the back of a giant spider.

random thought/ possible future goal

get a adventuring party of forest monsters, go out into the world, make a name for ourselves, then come back and start a monster mercenary guild out of the village
>>
>>36149700
So the ruins is the end-game raid or first stop? Both, visit the circus later?
>>
>>36149748
there's a CIRCUS to visit?
What are we waiting for!
>>
>>36149748
well the ruins don't really need to be conquered seeing as the spiders already control them, so it might be a good place to send recruits to test there skill, unless you mean set that place up as the guild's headquarters, then that's probably going to be a bit end game seeing as that place is probably going to take more then just one spider to rebuild completely, and it's probably going to cost a lot if we use more then one spider.

*cough*queens*cough*council*cough*

>putting adventurers out of business even more
What does lyra have against adventure, huh?
>>
Your fingers curl into her hair as you consider it. She makes a little noise, not really a word at all, biting her lip as she leans into your hand.
On one hand, it's dangerous for the moths outside the forest. And Nin... does not seem very strong. Sneaky, apparently, but not particularly tough or strong.

On the other hand, she is unbelievably soft. Her hair is silky smooth, and her antennae are like delicate, curving feathers.

She's wriggling in your hands as you stroke her scalp, twisting this way and that- though anytime your hands slow, she bumps at it with her head.

And then she squeaks.

Her eyes slam open, and she meets your gaze as her pale cheeks colour, blush flooding across her face.
You smile, all fangs.

"Wait- Lyra-"

Two fingers run side by side up an antennae, and she shivers, letting out a little hiccuping squeak again, and you laugh. You massage her scalp, watching as she squirms, squeaking more with every touch, trying to cover her mouth with her hands as you relentlessly pet her.

Your hand comes free from a breathless little moth, her chest heaving as you smile down at her.

You reach down, taking her hands into yours, pulling them away from her mouth as she looks up at you.
"We will talk to your mother, yes? She-"
"She won't want me to-"
"She will understand, yes. It would be bad if they had my mother chase us."

This entire situation is so romantic I'm puking rainbows over here.

Still trying to decide if sleeping wolfbutt makes it less or more, probably more.

Needs harpybutt though.
>>
>>36149140
I can't not draw this now... Lyra has enough limbs to cuddle with everyone.
>>
>>36150218
"Do you really think so? She'll let me go?"
Your thumb makes a slow, reassuring circle on the back of her hand. For one moment there's nothing but hope in her expression, her voice.
"She will not try to hold you against your will, yes? Parents want their children to be happy. Even if it is hard."

Her eyes well up, and she reaches up towards you, arms wrapping around your neck as she hugs you.
"Lyra! Thank you!"
"Nin, I-"
"You really are the best! You'll be the Queen, and everything will be better and-"

You can hear the capitalization in her voice.
Oh boy.

"-it'll get better. For everyone."

You'll let her have this. This once.

The first droplets of rain patter over your shell, your hair, and you look up into the sky. The clouds are still on the horizon, the sky clear and beautiful above you, warm rain falling with its muted tone through the ruins. You smile.

"Uh oh."
"Nin?"
"I, ah."
"Yes?"
"I can't fly when my wings are wet."
"Ah."

You look to the direction of the Moth's village.
It can wait.

You pull a blanket free from your satchel, throwing it over the little moth and heading for home, a rainbow already forming above you.
>>
Well we have finally recruited the party healer.

We have the Ranger, Jin, the Monk, Sheszka, the EVERYTHING that is Lyra, and Nin, our resident Mothbutt healer.

We just need tinysnek rogue.
>>
>>36150250
tinysnek rogue is the moth. They would never expect the healer to snek and be tiny!
>>
>>36150218
Lyra is getting dangerous with her head patting. You so need to add that to character sheet. She ahs to have almost max ranks in it.
>>
>>36149627

Healers / Hornbunnies don't need great exp ratio.
>>
>>36150243
Disregard this, I fellate ovipositors.
>>36150245
I have to draw this now. This is 100% gold.
>>
>>36150289
I think we need to ask mom about the head patting.
Does dad pat her head at night?
Is it something about Arachne that no other monsterkin can match, that our headpats are somehow better than all others?
>>
>>36150245

>That's it for tonight!

As a heads up-
Next week we'll have the usual monday thread, probably, But I'm out of province for a while for family stuff. I'll take a vote on monday and do some write ups.
>>
>>36150334

What is your favorite future pairing?

Spider/Wolf

Spider/Harpy

Spider/Moth

Or Spider/Moth/Harpy/Wolf

OR Spider / Selfbutt?
>>
>>36150334
Is there a reason you decided to arouse heartboners in regard to Nin? Because my heartboner is aroused.

Also, pettability really should not be a criteria for choosing adventuring partners, Lyra. But it is. And now we must examine Lann's ears.
>>
>>36150334
I honestly don't remember; what moth features do they have besides fluffy antennae and wings?
>>
>>36150334
what has the rest of the family been up to during that week? I mean we did see Sara is still learning all things magic, Lyra's brothers are probably still hunting like mad and pretty much gathering enough food for the rest of the family so they can focus on other things but still. I'm starting to feel bad because I feel like we're ignoring them
>>
>>36150334
Thanks for running!
>>
>>36150386
pitch black eyes and I think they're generally shorter the average person. That and really pale skin
>>
>>36150386

Moth collars, chitin thighs down and chitin arms.

Also Lewddust.
>>
>>36150390
I'm kinda surprised the brothers haven't evolved yet, given how much hunting they do.
>>
>>36150426
>>36150429
I was kind of picturing /tg/'s mothfolk for half of this scene.
>>
>>36150365
None of these.
I don't want to go out with party members.
>>
>>36150463
"Small" game, no challenge.
>>
>>36150463
They might evolve soon ish, but thats only because of the fact that they have been hunting small prey.
>>
>>36150289
>>36150331
Headpatting is a highly specialized skill- It needs to be retrained for every monster type. Lyra is just a natural.

>>36150374
I know a lot of players avoid them, but it's something I talked about on the ask.fm This has been Nin's deal from the start.
I really wish that site had a better set up, but it's supposed to be a social media hub, not a Q&A wiki.

>>36150386
Short and fluffy as hell.

>>36150390
Aria's been training and hunting, Elle has been taking advantage of the fact that Aria is hunting and you're out and about all the time to slug it up in the nest while weaving. Sara is trying her hand at enchanting. Dad is helping Sara and studying and always having a jar of healing dust on hand. Mom is being Mom.
And your brothers are experimenting with cooperative hunting rather than competitive. They don't know how they feel about it yet, but it is working.
>>
>>36150365
>Spider/Moth/Harpy/Wolf
The party of adventure.
>>
>>36150334

I like your idea for using compasses for the family to track each other. Maybe dad could take an elemental stone with one spirit, sunder it, and use the residual desire of the spirit to become whole to guide it toward the general direction of it's complimentary half.
>>
>>36150482
/tg/ has mothfolk?
>>
>>36150365
All the options.
>>
>>36150572
think it's on sup/tg/ but yeah awhile back tg got together and made a fantasy race based off moths
>>
>>36150506
Not to rush you or be rude, but when will we get to see Nin's pastebin?
>>
>>36150572
you can also find all the info on the 1d4chan wiki
>>
>>36150489

Then love is doomed.
>>
>>36150672
>dating coworkers
Not even once.
You date a RIVAL worker.

So, in this case, we should date our alternate rival party. The one with a dude spider, a cat-boy, an ostrich harpy, and... a butterfly?
>>
>>36150400
Thanks for playing!

>>36150386
Specifically a fluffly collar, thin, soft chitin on their legs and arms, light rings of fluff at their wrists and ankles. Black eyes. Hair and fur ranges from white to cream until they evolve, and they tend to be very pale.

>>36150566
It's one of the ideas I really liked. Knowing where each other are can help you send letters.
As long as you have a regular compass and a map.

>>36150643
I'll get to it before saturday's thread.

And I saw people asking about contacting me privately if it's needed- My email was in the Q&A bin, if a little hidden. You can reach me remxqm at gmail if there's something you need that you don't want all over the twatters or whatever.

>>36150365

None of the above. I like the quest and the action/adventure more than the would-be romantic sub plots.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the cute side of this quest, but I don't really care for romantic attachments or the incessant "jokes" about lewd/headpats.
>>
Did not choosing Sheszka's scene mean she hasn't evolved yet.
>>
>>36150788
Not at all!
I'll say it again- Any and all fan-anything is amazing, and not something I thought I'd be getting. I save every piece, and store it in the vault.

The vault is a folder on my desktop.

How about no.

Besides, you are even supposing that Lyra and her party HAS an equivalent to rival them.
>>

>>
>>36151022

>>
>>36150894

I really want half-lord type Shezka. The Great Horned Wolf would be amazing.
>>
>>36150788
dawww
>>
>>36151074
It's not all that far fetched.
It's basically a normal rivalry, except someone yells "JUST KISS ALREADY" after one of their empassioned confrontations.
>>
>>36150950
I don't think it's ever specified in the LN, so I've just been going with:
-It has to be night.
-Evolving character has to be asleep.
-Noones looking.

Lyra saw a hint of it as she drifted off.
I was actually contemplating having her look away, and then back, and Jin would have changed, but it felt cheaper than what I went with, so I scrapped it.

>>36151043
I don't mind at all!
I'd say add a note if you don't want a response, as that makes it public, of course. And there's twitter and the email as well.

I see you two have very different ideas on how this will play out.
>>
>>36151107

The problem with rivalries is that both parties have to be able to keep up and surpass each other.

With Lyra this is impossible.
>>
>>36151135

One guy thinks it's going to be passion building up on passion as they try to out-pace the other.

The other dude thinks it's going to be a poison that either ignites passion so thoroughly it burns both of them out in a week or a slow-acting poison of wounded pride that kills both of them in the end.

I miss good monster rancher games.
And good digimon games, for that matter.
>>
>>36151137
Of course it's possible, aria just isn't powergaming hard enough.
>>
>>36151137

>>36151239

mom kicks our ass. and then there is sessomething the giant spider
>>
>>36151408
Yeah, why aren't we shipping Lyra with Seranthis?
>>
>>36151408
whats-her-name might as well evolve with the gift of the god of jealousy witch would give her a perma xp boost whenever she is trying to surpass us. Just so that she can try. Or she can always go full dere route and just give up while spiritually broken.

oh and Sssetheissss could be one of our teachers latter one if we can get him to settle down for a hot minute and teach us the old way of doing things. or at least some history.
>>
>>36151460
Because if no one (except me) wants to ship her with the old guard on account of him being old, then there's no reason at all to bother with Big S.
>>
>>36151581
Do you know how hard it's going to be to find a date who's taller than Lyra?
>>
>>36151490
Prince Vegetta shows us how its done (eventually). Try to surpass yourself without getting too broken up about it if someone else outpaces you
>>
>>36151630
So? Lyra can just sweep them off their feet anyways. That's how Mom does it with dad. And if that's REALLY a concern for you, Jin and Nin can both flutter and Sheszka gets big as a wolf.
