Cotton-spun cobwebs, decorate stone columns, the cold autumn wind blows the wispy hair of strawmen with ghoulish masks. Their eyes watch your party as they pass. Echo, who's insisted herself along gives them a little wave before running to the fore of the group, she's the first to buy a ticket, running inside with no one willing to call out for her to stop.

“So, it's here?” Saph whispers, as she comes in close to you, her auburn bangs getting blown in her face every so often, forcing her to push the hair back.

You touch the rail to the staircase as you walk up to the double glass doors of the entrance, “Yeah. Legna, my valkyrie, found it.”

“The energy here is good, though we need to go down below the ground.”

“There's an exhibit we can use for that.”

As you buy your ticket, you notice Tony, eying other guests touring around inside. After entering, he says soft and low, “We'll need to get these people out, yes?”

You shrug, pushing up the gaiter hiding your deformity, “We could pull a fire alarm, or I could start one.”

“That'll call the fire department and complicate things if the Watch shows up.” Saph says as she quickens her pace and turning to walk backwards, “Best time for the Seelie is twilight. We can scout the area, then get some preliminary setup before we start anything.” She smiles, patting a bag slung over one of her slight shoulders, “We can split up and check out the exhibits while we're here, sound good?”

You tag along after Tony, Emilia holding your arm as Saph heads to the Underground adventure to scope out the area. You soon find signs and a sudden change that let you know you're in the attractions devoted to Ancient Egypt. Modern artist's heiroglyphs decorate the quiet walls with loe lighting casting them into an almost mystical light.

You find displays that show ancient egyptian bronze and gold, tarnished ritual daggers, urns with organs that have long been dessicated, and ornate sarcophagus of more than one mummy.
In an especially dark-lit area there's an exposed mummy on display behind glass. You can see every bit of the old rags used to protect and dry the body, the empty eyesockets, the withered hands of a corpse that's seen the turn of the era.

As you come up on the mummy, you see Echo squatting low in front of it, staring intently. Tony wanders around, taking slow and deliberate strolling steps, the tap of his dress shoes clicking upon the thematic stone floor.

You can hear Echo whispering, and nodding as though she's listening to something. As you peer into the astral to investigate, you see a person of light staring back at you, tall, proud, and peerless.
Echo looks over to you, her astral foxtails twirling about in a flurry of faux-flame, a grinning fox mask upon her face, “Oh, hello Faust.”

The silent Egyptian turns away, back to Echo, whispering something only for her before taking a seat back where the real-world corpse is. Squinting your eyes, you ponder at whether or not this entity is a shade. By the look? The understanding? No, it can't be... It's more like it's been anchored here to this world by the preserved body. Looking around at the room, it stands alight with the power of the glyphs, ancient sentries and familiars sitting at their masters' side, sneering, and shunning yet another desecration to the mummies' sleep.

Emilia pulls at your arm, “I don't think they like us here.” She whispers just as Echo passes by.

Finding the nearest door, you give it three knocks and whisper the password for Dorothy's shop. Twisting the doorknob, you find that it's... stuck? Deciding on the Acorn, you give the thing a charge and bury it beneath the ground. With a pass of magic, you lay the ground flat as Solace waltz's up to begin drawing runes. For a lack of thumbs, the cat scrawls complicated runes at a terrifying speed with nothing but his claws scratching right through the stone.

As you set up the circle, a guard comes around to which everyone present turns to look at them. The guard looks down at the cat drawing, you with your eyes shining. They start to call alarm when a cluster of shadows wraps around their mouth and pulls them to the ground, stifling any noise from them.
Tony walks up to the man, squats down over their subdued form, puts a finger to his lips and says, “Shhh. We need quiet in this exhibit.”

With a wave, the shadows drag the man up against the wall, driving them into it headfirst, rendering them unconscious.

Echo hops in, “I found mushroo-”

“Shhh.” Tony says again with a smirking look on his face, “Quiet in the exhibit.”

Camille watches you work and begins to assist with the scrawling of runes, creating floating paint with the same inscriptions that Solace is making upon the ground. Now and then, the cat corrects her and she fixes them. Eventually she says, “We'll see just how this goes. Asher, I'm helping you this once to repay what I owe you. After that...”

“I get it. If you want to return to Overwatch, Saph said that's fine.” You shrug, “As for me, I'm stuck here because they don't want my stupid ass running wild.”

“Aren't they letting you already?”

“Already on strike two.” You reply. Saph watches you from across the room, supervising everything.
“So, what's your connection with the fae anyway?”

Saph straightens up abruptly, “I'm going to get people out of here, gently. Do what you need to.” She heads off without answering the question.

Not to mention, all the vets around us got offed.” You look over to Emilia for a moment before looking at Camille, “Say, how's Hunter anyway?”

“He's good last I heard.” Camille sighs as she resumes scrawling. “He wasn't allowed to leave base until a couple weeks ago because of what the Followers did, but I've heard he's very effective at what he does.”

“What does he do?”

“I'm sure you know.” Camille forces smile.

Tony shifts in place, leaning against a wall, hands in the pockets of his long black coat, “Followers, hm? I've not heard about them, who are they?”

The chant is repeated three times and echoed thus the same as you lead the incantation. After the first, the acorn sprouts, rapidly growing into a sapling, breaking through the floor and spreading out its roots to match the runes scrawled for the circle. The branches too reach out to the paint as it concentrates the mana further.
After the second chant, a notch in the tree folds in on itself like a door at first, only for the hinges to break off. The whole thing begins to shake as other roots dip down especially deep to tap into the ley line. You can hear the voices now of the faeries on the other side.
The tree keeps growing, pushing through the roof, moving it unabashedly out of the way.

After the third, the space distorts and the notch widens to the ground as a yawning hole to the other side, the faeries peering though with sheer curiousity and excitement.
The first one steps through and a wave of mana erupts from the tree. Slow and deliberate, as soon as they pass through, mana erupts from the ley line, exploding out in a wave of blinding light.

Everything goes black as you're blasted away, the slight tingles of Faerie magic coursing through your body...
