Welcome back to Civilization: Lizardfolk! Previously we tamed the remnants of the harpy tribe, gained an attunement to nature, and explored much of the surrounding area. We return to find the Mosstooth Tribe still split between a hunting party and those remaining at the camp.

Currently the hunting group, druid accompanying them, is one day's travel from camp. V spends the evening communing with the beings within the glade they're camping in. It seems her newfound powers do not give her much insight to the nature of these beings however. Brikit, one of the tribesmen in the group, curiously touches the tree, but there is no response.

The night is calm, tranquil even, as the nocturnal creatures begin their foray into the jungle. Neither of the two portions are troubled.

A new day dawns, what does the Mosstooth tribe do?

If I remember right th hunting party was on its way back so I'll just say do that and second the Builder

Village:
>Lodge Building
>Bowdrill

Hunting Group
>Navigate: Northwest

Okay, now to explain my plan

>First, dig out the land at the edges of the settlement/future lake
>Continue our way inward
>Once the land is a uniform 20 feet deep, build interconnecting tunnels to different lodges
>Cut away at the dike holding out the water
>Start work on dam, might contain housing
>Leave tubes through the dam, to act as drainage and for sanitation
>Continue expanding lake settlement as needed
>>
Rolled 3, 67, 5 = 75 (3d100)

Wouldn't be Civ:L if I didn't forget to roll dice.
>>
>>36152076
Well, at least the bowdrill is done
>>
The tribesmen, despite being under Rasquars guidance, continue to slowly build the lodges. One is finished, though it takes the whole day.

Chalax and his peers finally make a breakthrough! They have a working prototype and will be able to advise upon the creation of more bowdrills in the future.
>Bowdrill (100%)
>Gained: 1 Bowdrill

The hunting group finally makes it home, no worse for the wear. V seems to be inwardly contemplative, perhaps meditating on the new developments. The rest of the party informs Quillock of the new development, upon which he formally inducts her as the Mosstooth Druid.

The day ends with a large tribal meal, though each of you may note that the tribe needs to begin hunting soon, as there are only two days worth of food remaining.

Lumber(9)

We gotta get this done

go on a massacre/rampage in the neighboring Dark Elf territory

You cannot focus on lodge building and hunting during the same day, as both are major actions. One may consider putting 25% of the tribe on gathering as a minor action to produce one day's worth of food, but it'll just eat the minor until you hunt.
>>
>>36152377
Lodge building as a minor action.

Hunting as a major action. we only have two days worth of food left.
>>
>>36152377
Hunting for major, bowdrills for minor then
>>
Rolled 75, 17 = 92 (2d100)

Major: Hunt/Gather
Minor: Bowdrill (Lodge building won't get much done as a minor.
>>
The tribe sets out again to hunt, and with the whole tribe to bear and a druid to boot, the hunting is quite plentiful! A whole week's worth of food is harvested!

On the other hand, the few lizardfolk left to craft the bowdrills don't have such a good time at it. The new tool, relatively complex in creation and in materials used to make it, is time consuming to create. Only one functional bowdrill is created throughout the day.

>Gain: Food(7), Bowdrill (1)
>Current: Food (8), Lumber (9), Bowdrill (2)

Major: Lodge building
Minor: Bowdrill production
>>

As the tribe returns from gathering, they find a surprise! There are a total of ten harpies roosting in the net above the village! Five of the previous captives and five new arrivals, not counting the chicks brought with them! They are quite friendly, and offer their services as scouts, amongst other things.

>Gained Alliance (Minor) Harpy!: Half of the Harpy's number are added to population, and give their stats when in combat as a unit.
>Milestone: 50 members! May take two major actions per day without penalty

A new day dawns, what shall the Mosstooth Tribe do?

The tribe splits once more, this time to both build more lodging and to begin using the plantlife in and around the river for sustenance. Both ventures go fairly well, and another lodge is build to completion, and three days worth of food is harvested from the river. The harpies do their best, mostly scouting into the forest to make sure that the laden tribesman are safe from any attack, and carrying messages or small parcels to and fro.

>Gain: Food(2)
And thus ends the twentieth day of the Mosstooth Tribe!

The night is noisy, the nocturnal fauna taking to the jungle as the tribe returns to the safety of their settlement. The dawn comes soon though!

What does the Mosstooth tribe do on this day?
>>
>>36152887
Now you got me worrying about the local animals. Is the town fully encircled by the palisade? How many more lodges before we can flood the basin?
>>
>>36152933
I would say we should manufacture more weapons or get started on some armor. Outfit our guards with the best stuff we got. Good defense.
>>
>>36152933
The camp before the clear cutting is encircled, the lodges are in the open currently. Two more lodges would be required.
>>
>>36152991
What do you suggest we make armor out of?
We should skin the animals we hunt to get hides. Once we have those, we can reinforce hide armor with wood. (see pic)
>>
>>36152993
Okay.
>Start making weapons(stone clubs, macuahuitls, spears, etc) from river rocks and flint. Our scales should work for armor.

>Look more into the river
Anything new, a lot of dirt in the water, branches, loose leaves, etc.
>>
>>36153062
Animal hides, woven armor from trees, whatever.

Just some armor for our warriors would be nice.
>>
Hmn. Actually guys, I'm going to call it here. We really don't have most of the tribe here to give input, and things feel fairly slow. We got the hunting group back and the harpies in. Going to just call it Civ:L 2.5.
>>
>>36153218
Plus I made this on really short notice, which is kind of the reason for both of those.
>>
>>36153218
okay, see you next thread. Saturday, right?

Correct

okay then

Dang, just got here.

lol, I checked your twitter, got excited, then you cancelled, then I didn't check it again, then I saw the thread.
>>
>>36153218
back if you want to keep going
>>
Been here since day one, coined the mosstooth name. Hopefully thread will pickup soon.

And possibly I could act as a refuge seeking help from the tribe we were originally exiled from?
But as a spy of course?
