Last thing a 29yrs old chemical engineer and fellow fa/t g/uy saw before he died on a plane crash was his favorite d20 flying off his pocket.

Must have rolled a critical success in someone's reincarnation tables, because next thing he knew, he was reborn in a world of swords and magic, the likes he'd always dreamt of, and furthermore, a world where the rules are those of old times RPG games.

Now aged 10, Eldric Lightbringer is staying in Eopolis for his summer vacation, visiting his grandfather, uncle and cousin, taking in the sight of the biggest city in the northern continent.

(A) Divine ~ You gain access to the following Divine powers
Divine ~ You can use divine magic
30MP ~ The mind's eye: As a standard action, you can extend your senses to perceive any point you can see or know intimately regardless of distance (as long as it exists within the same universe). You experience the area surrounding this spot as if you were present but unable to take actions besides free actions. Dismissing this ability is a free action.
666MP ~ The End: As a full round action, you can create a small black hole within 60ft. It appears as a tiny orb of nothingness floating in place, and you can move it up to 30ft as a move action. Any creatures within 5ft of the orb when it appears are pushed away 10ft in a direction of their choice, as are any creatures in its movement path. Inanimated matter within 10ft of the orb is instantly annihilated. Any creatures within 5ft of the orb take your Wisdom score as true damage (which ignores any form of damage reduction or redirection, including Spell Resistance) and again at the beginning of your turn. You cannot use any other Divine abilities while The End is active. You can dismiss the orb as a free action at any time. Add your Wisdom Score to damage, again, for every 5 Oracle of the Void job levels you have.

[A) Elemental ~ You gain access to the following Elemental powers
Elemental ~ You can use elemental magic
100MP ~ Absolute Terror: As a standard action, you can roll intelligence against either the MDV of every creature and object in a 15ft radius area up to 60ft away, or against that of a single creature or object that you can see up to 60ft away. Affected creatures and objects are pulled 15ft in a direction of your choice and suffer [Immobile] for 5 rounds. Unaffected creatures and objects are still pulled 15ft and suffer [Slow].

Alright, I think I got to a good compromise. Going to type more jobs. If you have suggestions, feel free to keep contributing
>>
>>36159911
I'll say again that any elemental spell with Blast and Thrust spell tricks added to it is strictly better than Absolute terror.

The Necromancer (this job requires 20 levels of healer and is only available in Sbastia)
+2 Dex
+2 Con
+3 Int
+3 Wis
+2 Cha

+6 HP
+6 MP

+2 Divine

(A) Divine ~ You gain access to the following divine powers
10 MP ~ Preserve Corpse: You can stop the Death Countdown of an adjacent body you can see. You can maintain the preserve effect on a number of bodies equal to your Charisma bonus at the same time.
??? MP ~ Create Undead: You can animate a preserved body with a likeness of life. It has 2HP per mana spent in this ability, and a Strength, Dexterity and Constitution equal to your Intelligence score. Its unarmed damage, PDV and MDV are each equal to your Elemental skill. Animated bodies do not count towards the maximum number of bodies you can preserve at the same time, and they can be assigned to simple tasks such as “guard this hallway against anyone not wearing the robes of the Black Spire”, “Sweep the street clean every day after sunset”, or the like.

(P) Honored Dead ~ Undead are not automatically hostile against your party members. After level 10 Necromancer, undead with Line of Sight to you will assist you in a fight. After level 20 Necromancer, they will assist any of your party members they can see.
>>
>>36160128

Since it's a Divine skill, shouldn't it be equal to the caster's Divine skill?

Your Point of Attraction from last thread was a good alternative.

Now for more suggestions...

Warrior Poet

Choir: An ally within range of your song becomes a source of the song. This effect extends to all sources of your song. Any songs with numerical effects gain 20% to that effect per ally within your choir.

Coordinated Strike: If your entire party is at the same initiative, you can attack a single enemy. Any successful attack sets that enemies PDV or MDV to 0 for any subsequent attacks by other members of the party that turn, depending on what the attack targetted.

Anyway, where were we... ah right, leaving the temple with grandpa

"So, your dad says you want to marry all those girls?"
"Yes! they're all pretty and nice!"
"Hah, well, as for love... yes, I guess it is alright to be greedy in love. Just don't make anyone cry, understood?"
"Yes, grandfather"
"Did you uncle took you hunting already?"
"Fishing"
"Uhmm almost the same. Did you visit the keep already?"
"Yes grandfather"

The old man stays quiet for a minute as he walks with you. He looks like a mountain of a man, or a great tree, growing straight towards the sky. His face is serious, but his expression is neither harsh nor hard.

"Would you like a treat?" ~he says when he notices the street salesmen selling candies and kebabs.
"Ah, sure"

He surprises you a little by buying a candy apple for you, and one for himself. Even without his gauntlets, his hands are huge, enough so that the apple and stick looks like a lollipop when he grips it.

"Don't tell Euphrosyne that I had one too, alright? She says I have to watch my sugar, or something like that"
"Alright, grandfather."

"So, tell me about your life in Albion"
"Well..."

Your grandfather seems happy to hear about your every day life at school, and about your friends, and your first adventure into a dungeon. He laughs a bit when you tell him that the dwarves seem to be having trouble telling your age.

"You've never seen a hobbit, then?"
"No"
"Alright, let's make a detour"

He steers you towards a neighborhood of lower buildings. Everything looks as if it was sized for children of about your size, and the grownups are about your own size.

The children are truly tiny.

"Come think of it, it may be a good area to get you a suit"
"I don't need that"
"Yeah, I never liked them either, really."

Well, looking around, its not that surprising that the dwarves keep getting your age wrong. These people are shaped perfectly fine, but they are much, much smaller than a normal human. It reminds you a bit of the pygmies in your old world.

After a while, you make it back home, and thank your grandfather for the walk before going to your room.

Grandpa seems like an OK guy, I just fundamentally disagree with his philosophy. We need to strengthen everyone we can rather than keep that sort of power limited to a handful of people.
>>
>>36160742
im not for every one getting stronger just those that wish to improve the world for the better
>>
>>36160742

He's an ok guy, I see where he comes from.

I just fail to see how he would handle it if things went south. He can go solo shit easily but still suffers to save or die or just die effects. A single person only has so many auto res effects.

Besides there is the undead city and the psycopath running it there, no idea what he is truly capable of. That also likely plays in the main plot.

We would not be a scion if shit were not going to go to hell during our lifetime.
>>
>>36160851
>our lifetime
I fully intend to create actual agelessness enchantments rather than the second rate crap we're currently aware of, so that might be a very long time.
>>
>>36160774
There are a vanishingly small number of people that exclusively want to make the world worse. Even someone who is 100% selfish is making the world a better place as long as they don't cause harm in pursuit of their own goals.
>>
>>36160989
true but a 100% selfish person doesn't care about the people they harm in their wake
>>
>>36161032
Sure they do, if the society they're currently interacting with then goes out of its way to punish the for the harm done. It would be simple self-preservation in that case.
>>
>>36160945
Which reminds me, we really do need to get Okaba to make us some agelessness amulets for our parents while we work on something better.
>>
>>36161082
It could be the better version would be a combination effect. LIke there might be something that grants unlimited lifespan, but not agelessness. So we'd have to find a way to get both those effects working at once.

Grandpa is a good guy, I won't argue that. It's just that he's kind of stupid and naive at times.

The Demonologist (this job requires 10 levels of healer and 10 levels of Wizard, and is only available after special training)
+2 Dex
+2 Con
+5 Int
+5 Wis
+3 Cha
+3 App

+6HP
+9MP

+1 Divine
+1 Elemental

(A) Divine ~ You gain access to the following Divine powers
???MP~ Demonic Summons: You can call on spirits of the netherworld to inhabit your summons, enhancing them in several ways. The MP cost of enhancing a summon in this way is equal to the cost of summoning it to begin with. These netherworld spirits disappear at the end of the encounter or when your summon is destroyed, whichever happens first. You can give another demonic trait to your summons at level 10 and 20 of Demonologist.

Darkling ~ Your summon teleports from shadow to shadow, effectively being able to charge any enemy on the battlefield regardless of distance or enemies along its path.
Horror ~ Your summon automatically pushes creatures out of its path as it moves, 10ft in a direction of their choice, and creatures of lower level than you refuse to approach within 5ft of it.
Price of Power ~ Your summon deals triple damage per attack, but you also take this damage. This damage can be reduced by abilities and armor, as normal.

(A) Elemental ~ You gain access to the following Elemental powers
30 MP ~ Demon's flesh: You can summon a demon within your own flesh and that of your allies, giving them a daemonic summon's trait, but also the [berserk] debuff until the end of the encounter.

(P) Blessing of the Dark gods ~ You retain the bonus from Demon's flesh out of combat, and are not affected by [berserk], as long as you sacrifice a intelligent, unwilling being at least once a week. If you fail to do so, you gain [bersserk] until the end of your next combat.

Need some WH40K chaos pic, I guess?
>>
>>36161176
to be honest, after thinking about a cost/reward for this topic for a long while, I think I have it

True agelessness. You dont physically age and continue to live until your death by violent means, but you cant reproduce and if killed, ressurrection effects fail on you.
>>
>>36161288
So could a necromancer cast preserve corpse on you, then someone else removes the amulet granting true agelessness, allowing you to be resurrected?
>>
>>36161243
The stats for that job are nice, but the abilities feel a bit lackluster. Like, if we could use demonic flesh on enemies, giving them price of power and berserk, that would be awesome. As is, darkling and horror are relatively minor buffs to our summons.
>>
>>36161326
thats awfully specific. I guess so?
btw I made the necromancer thinking on how necromancy used to be healing in 2e

>>36161288
As for the binder, I had thought of someone similar to the alchemist 2.0
Literally since its a tier above it
The idea was to summon spirits directly into golem bodies to make summons permanent so we could have angel-powered golems (or demon-powered if you are so inclined i guess)

Then I realized, you guys probably are thinking of the D&D Binder, which I never really used much, so, what do you prefer for it?
>>
>>36161326
>>36161288
so we were something take it off before combat
>>
>>36161405

I fail to see why do you want your enemies to do 3x the normal damage, be inclined to attack you, and deal to you as much damage as they deal to whatever they are hitting.

Price for power works like this

Your summon hits something for 300 damage
You take 300 damage (of course, substract armor from that)

It's not "your summon does and takes x3 the damage"

Granted, it would probably still be nice against enemy casters since berserk only allows basic attacks

anyway, I do agree that the enhancements are pretty lackluster, those are just the first ideas. Will include more later as I think about it. Feel free to suggest some
>>
>>36161407
D&D binders take supernatural abilities from other creatures and use them as their own, which given how jobs and abilities interact, is redundant. So I say go ahead with your improved alchemist binder.
>>
>>36161492
The idea was that they would pay the cost for price of power, so they'd do 3x the damage, attack a lot, but take all that damage back.

But if the ability can't work like that, then I guess I'll shelve the idea.
>>
>>36161413
seems fair. Will make it a curse so you at least pay 30MP, tho :P

Yes, I felt that merited a emote, so sue me.

Anyway, i remember someone saying he was excited about the binder, then remembered there was a binder in D&D. I was thinking on a upgrade for the alchemist, would you prefer a more D&D binder?
>>
>>36161517
I do like the idea of cursing them with demonic posession, tho. Maybe I will include some obviously shitty "enhancements" and allow you to do a int roll vs MDV to "bless" enemies with them, when I think of any
>>
>>36161546
Do monsters get special abilities that are otherwise impossible for us to gain? If so, go with a d&d binder. Otherwise go with your alchemist binder.

>real boy

Maybe there's a shrine to the Lady nearby?

The True Namer (is the arcanist version of the heavenly empire. Arcanist is massive damage. This is accuracy)
+2 Dex
+2 Con
+5 Int
+2 Wis

+6HP
+9MP

+2 Elemental

(A) Arcane ~ You gain access to the following powers
???MP ~ Eroding Tides of the Arcane: Whenever you successfully beat an opponent's MDV with a spell, you can attack that same opponent with a lower sphere level as a free action. You must pay any costs for this extra spell.

(P) Knowledge through disintegration: Whenever you use a elemental spell to deal damage to an opponent, you learn part of its true name, and receive a bonus to attack rolls against it's MDV equal to your Intelligence bonus. This effect can accumulate once, and once more for every 10 levels you have in the True Namer job.

I will say upfront, I got inspired by the Vel'koz first contact youtube video

I have no idea why the "Huuuumans..." word was taken out from the beginning of the video and replaced with unintelligible mumbling, tho

>>
>>36162101
Man that's pretty good single target DPS if you got the mana to burn for it.
>>
>>36162101
We're definitely taking this class to 20 at least. That passive would then let us actually beat the MDV of significant enemies.
>>
>>36162170
Well, somewhat significant. Grandpa's 3500 wis would require 7x our current 580 int to beat, which would mean level 50 in this job.
>>
>>36162163
>>36162170
Im still thinking between int or dex bonus, or maybe just a +30 (or other flat number) bonus since you get the bonus whenever you "deal damage" and you always deal damage (remember you deal 1/2 damage if you miss with a spell) so it may be too easy to trigger tha passive

Suggestions?

Also, checked... yeah. the video in spanish and other languages still has the "humans... you species intrigues me" at the beginning, but its been removed from the english version for some reason
>>
>>36162268
At truenamer 20, with the current bonus and hitting with 3 spells, we would be able to beat a mirror of ourselves MDV almost exactly 50% of the time.

I really don't know what balance point you want to shoot for, but this job is the only way we've seen to do more than 1/2 damage with elemental spells.

Eldric goes into his room and starts checking at the "help" section for his newly available jobs.

After a little while, tho, Zoe wanders in, and seeing him just laying down on his back, climbs up to cuddle or play.

"Zoe, wh-"
"Oh, I thought you were having a nap. Do you want to play?" ~she looks at him with a smile and flicks her ears softly as she swars her head gently from side to side
"Alright, how about going to make an icecream box?"
"Icecream!" ~the lion girl celebrates and rolls off from top of her brother before going to look for a box

As your friends and family ask her about the box, they all eventually end up in your room.

"Okaba, I understand everyone else, but can't you make your own box?"
"I could, but it's not my house. I can't just grab any box or chest I want to, right?"
"You could grab my chest, master" ~the succubi cooes as she rubs her pretty face against his side

If you didin't knew better, that would have been lewd.

Honoria doesn't knows better, so she does blush quite brightly.

A little after everyone is in the room, Euphrosyne also wanders in, wanting to see what the children are up to.

"Oh, that looks fun... could you make one for keeping in various things? the kitchen staff can't all have a copy of every fresh ingredient in their item boxes."
"That sounds fine. I will make one later"

It takes a while for the icecreams to chill, of course, so on the meanwhile we have fun playing with our family and friends.

Talking with our friends about the newly available jobs and what you want to do with the keep, it's a bit of a downer to see how uninterested Zoe and Stella are... but then again, if you asked them, they would just say they'll do whatever you want to, so there's no real point to pay attention anyway.

Are they really faithful, or are they easy going? well, it looks like its a "lil bit from column A, lil bit from column b" situation, isin't it?

They are fake fighting as they roll around, nibbling and paw batting at eachother like a real pair of pups or kittens... it's somehow heart-healing, isin't it?

They even manage to drag Mako in, albeit the princess is more on the receiving end than anything else. She gets nibbled, licked and tickled by the two beastgirls as they show their affection for her.

It's... well, it's lewd, but only if you want it to be. It's just really innocent frolicking, isn't it? you can completely see the image of Mako playing with a puppy and a kitty on the grass of some plaza or garden, easily.

Well, Euphrosyne and Okaba, Honoria and Alard are interested, at least.

Lyann is's attention if clearly split between the frolicking and the talking, and aura... it's Aura, she lives in Okaba-sama world, doesn't she?

Well, anyway...

It is thus that a meeting with five princess begins in our room, set around the freezer where the icecreams are chilling.

It is a serious meeting, even with all the laughing in the background.

Really!

>>
>>36163015

As for results? Alard is, quite honestly, more interested in support and melee jobs than anything else. He understands our suggestion to level everything, but he wants to first make sure he can at least raise and protect his allies by the time we leave at the end of summer vacations.

"I have several friends at school which I trust well enough, and I think they could help us if I raise their levels as well." ~he says~ "Thus, I think it's important that I can protect them in the beginning. Even if it's mostly healing, if we start leveling up in that undead-heavy dungeon by the graveyard, I can deal a large amount of damage and earn a fair bit of experience for them, right?"
"I see. This is what your lord grandfather was worried about. I believe we should rather discuss if we SHOULD teach other people about this." ~says Honoria
"Knowledge is a resource. Are we qualified to say who can and cannot have it?" ~says Okaba

>* Perhaps we should promise to keep this among us, at least for now.

We'll work things out on how to set this up later down the line, but for now, lets find out everything there is to know about how this'll end up working first.

For all we know, this could end up being insanely crippling compared to single-job dedication in the long term. So we should see if our approach to this is as efficient as we think it is before we spread it as common knowledge.

"Honestly, I am more interested in the Binder. It sounds interesting, and while I am unsure i'd trust most mortals with power, I could probably trust a group of heavenly guardians. Maybe do something like infusing a heavenly spirit into a rock-it ship to improve its maveuverability or completely replace its crew. Wouldn't that make the ship itself into a gigantic dragon made of rock, with canons?"

>* Alright Alard, if you really think you can trust them, then it's probably so. We will need strong companions to help us bring about all these changes
Honestly, everyone knows that they can become powerful by leveling up in a dungeon.
The only difference is getting powerful over the course of a few months versus over the course of a few years.

If they were going to be jerkasses when they got powerful, that would have happened inevitably anyway, when they got powerful in their teenage or adult years.

Yeah... let's not go there... suffice it to say... succubi instincts, full throttle.

That path ends in nudity

***
A few weeks after arriving at Eopolis, uncle wolfric takes us to the beach again.
Only, this time we are going with everyone, thus we are staying overnight in a coastal town.

This world has no such things as "weekends" but we are taking advantage of one of the four holydays a year to stay there for two days.

To be honest, uncle Wolfric enjoys fishing in his free time. Pretty much everyone else wants to play on the shore.

Well, Mako is the exception. She just sits under a parasol and looks at the sea. Her sister its on the other side of this sea, right?

Another girl just like Mako.

This is a pretty blessed world, in some ways.

"Waaah!" ~Ami is chasing Stella along the beach, since she ran away with the frisbee we made for her and Mai

She leapt up and bit it, then ran off with it.

Summer, summer never changes
The beach trips happen pretty much as you'd expected
Too many puppies, not enough frisbees

Of course, we got a sexy bikini for each of the ninjas- And of course, it's black. Obviously

Stella is running with the frisbee in her mouth... isin't that actually kind of dangerous? oh there she goes... she morphed into her wolf shape. Now she's pretty much a dog with a frisbee, huh?

She lost time transforming, tho, so Ami took the chance and hu- tackled her

They are both running back to Mai with the frisbee, now.

Stella is still in her wolf shape.

Lyann comes out from the water, wearing a 1 piece white swimsuit, and pulling her bright hair back with both hands.

convince mako to swim.
does she not know how to swim? we get to teach her
>>
>>36164680

Then she gets tacklehugged by Zoe, and they both fall into the water with a cry, laughs, and a big splash.

Lyann looks like she's having fun as she admonishes Zoe, but then she notices something, picks it up and stores it away in her item box while looking at Stella

Then, on the other hand, you have Okaba and Aura. These two are the stylish young adults in our group. Okaba was okay with the idea of swimming trunks, so he got a pair of black and blue ones, while Aura has a white slingshot.

They are cool, they look really cool... that's what I wish I could say, but.. actually, Aura is teaching Okaba how to swim, holding his hands as the prince paddles around.

Well... his wings aren't waterproof, so he sinks like a rock. It's not as if anyone could blame him.

On the other hand, Aura is something like a sexy, lewd super penguin, you know?

Lyann goes over to Stella and starts saying something to her. I see... when she transformed, she dropped her swimsuit, so Lyann picked it up for her.

She transforms to put it back. She has a really nice b- uhm? soft. These are some really soft hands. Small, too

"Eldric, don't watch!" ~says Honoria

OOooh... who'd have thought the dwarven princess had such soft hands. But I'm sorry Honoria, the truth is, we have seen Stella nude many times already.

But it's okay, because she's our sister, you know? it's been completely innocent

"You don't like the water?"
"Dwarfs don't swim"
"Why not?"
"Carps"
"Uhmm"

What do carps have to do?

By the time she takes her hands off, Stella is running around in her wolf form as Lyann chases after her with her swimsuit in hand.

No, Lyann, you are doing it wrong. Now it's a game to her... well, they're having fun, in a way.

"Do you want me to teach you?"
"Ah... n-no, thankyou."

Come think of it, we knew how to swim in our previous world... is that like riding a bike? maybe we should go try it out.

The water is pretty cold, but not terribly so. Since the sun its so strong, its all good, anyway... actually, we should look into tanning oils and sunscreen protectors.

Okaba is practically black, and Aura... uhmm... I wonder if blue people get sunburnt? but everyone else's skin is pretty pale, isin't it?

Well, as we try diving under, it becomes obvious that we still know how to swim, and that diving with this body its quite hard. To begin with, its much lighter than our previous one, so it tends to float. We are practically unsinkable.

That's a relief in some ways, but also annoying, right now.

After trying for a few times, we decide to try tying some rocks to our feet.

Children, don't do this at home, or at the beach, or anywhere. Just don't do this unless you, too, have an amulet that lets you breathe underwater, alright?

So... it probably looks kind of grim, a kid with rocks tied to his ankles walking to the water, but once we remind them of our amulet, everyone calms down.

"Oh, that's right. Could I borrow it later? when my wings get wet, I don't need any extra weight" ~asks Okaba
"Sure."

3/?

I'd figure we would actually sink like a stone considering our incredibly high Str score vs our age. We probably have 0% bodyfat.
>>
>>36165214
Ah, this world's underwater realm its pretty interesting, uh?

There's a lot of fish and creatures that definitively qualify as [sea beasts] but since we have druid on, it's not really a problem right now.

Oh! there's even underwater ruins!
It looks like, at some point, the water level must have raised a lot. There's a sunken shrine a few dozen feet into the sea.

By the way, in case you were wondering, the amulet makes a fresh air bubble around out head, so we can see just fine underwater, and even speak (and thus cast). Not that it would hinder us much, since we know chantless magic, but it's nice being able to talk.

Eldric approaches the shrine. The building itself looks incredibly well kept. It is a beautiful white stone plaza without walls or roof. Instead, it has a open stone platform surrounded by evenly spaced columns.

The altar itself looks as if a giant mess of tentacles, weeds and sea shell life was holding a large stone bowl.

Well, it looks heavy, but it's not part of the rock floor, so Eldric picks it up and starts walking towards the shore with it.

Almost immediately, it sounds as if a great shell horn had been blown in the distance, and a escor of mermen and mermaids swims over on a rush.

Uhmm... we don't bubble mermen... their language sounds like a lot of bubbles to us.

They are obviously pissed.

Well, when they see our amulet, they lower their weapons, but they are obviously trying to talk to us.

Oh, right... dad said we had to offer a coin, right? why do gods need sacrifices, anyway?

As we leave a coin on the offering bowl, the water around starts bubbling. The Lady emerges and takes shape, her body made from water and beach sand, a sand-skinned goddess wearing a dress of foam and flowing water.

The merman lord sends his people to get offerings while he bows, and your friends look quite surprised.

Well, it had been a long time since the mermen used coins, but apparently, a coral chip would have worked just as well.

Because those who were weak and opressed are the most careful with the use of their power. And in some cases because a massive error in the tapestry is coming, and the gods have limited range of action in the world.

we have to go deeper
>>
>>36167537
Well, we more or less knew what the treasure was, but having a good "official" reason would be nice. Something we can tell grandpa or maybe even the public that would tell them it's important but also turn them off from actually trying to get it.

>"As the prog-- I mean, as time passes, demons, errors. accumulate. They have been doing so for a long time. Soon, your family will need the tool to turn errors back into proper cod- proper parts of the world"
wait, WHAT. Doing that only needs demonologist, not the debug tools, right? RIGHT?
>>
>>36167629
nah, we just reincarnated into a funny world
>>
>>36167653
So we're just dreaming that we're in the matrix?

*foghorn blowing sound*

Demonologist just uses the errors, it apparently can't fix them.

>>
>>36167424
>Can we make giant combining vegetable mecha?

You'd need levels in botanist, alchemist and binder, I guess... unless you want to summon plant monsters and then use an archbishop ability?

"R-really!?"
"No, dear Eldric. It is something much more valuable than a tool. You cannot allow the demons to get it"

"Euphrosyne said it was the rules"
*sigh* "Yes, well... she shouldn't have said anything... its a pd- uhmm... it's a compilation of knowledge not meant for the inhabitants of this world."
"Alright..."
"Did you really want a tool?"
"Kinda... maybe?"
"Uhmm... if you are still a nice, clear hearted boy in five years, maybe I'll give you one"
"Really!?"
"Maybe"

>>36167602
>Hmm. Can we still level up demonologist for the stats or should we just write the class off entirely, then?
"How about you try summoning antivir- I mean, angels? It would be only a small change..."
"I can do that?"
"I'll see to it that you can" ~she winks~ "How should this job be called... Angelus?"
"Are you... are you going to make a new job for us?"

She smiles- Oh boy, seriously!?

"Is, is it going to be OP!?"
"I'll try my best, within the rules" ~she says

As the feast ends, the lady kisses everyone present on the forehead, and simply sinks into the water, disappearing.

ah, spanish speaker, too? i had to download them to see them

Well, the goddess is going to try and design us a net nav-- i mean, antivir--- i mean, angel summon class.

Yea... angels... thats it

So, the rules for classes are
All classes get 6 points distributed among dex, con and wis
3hp = 1 point
3mp = 1 point
+1 weapon, divine or elemental, 1 point
armor proficiency, 1 point each

All t1 jobs get 15 points distributed among stats and basic skills and powers
t2 jobs get 12 points, but better abilities and passives
t3 jobs get 9 points, but much much better abilities and passives

secret jobs get +6 points

What would you like to see?

>>
>>36167537
>"Only those who would explout and damage the "weave of the world would do so, Eldric! ~she admonishes you, pulling your nose as she frowns cutely
But then why does the job exist at all?

>>36168139
Well, maybe take the basic concept of demonologist but make it less evil?

Like instead of infusing a normal summon with angelic power, summoned angels have set actions they accomplish, like if you call a guardian angel, she automatically cancels one attack directed at you per turn. If you call a smiting angel, she grants you significant bonus holy damage on your first strike per turn.

Have it be a secret job coming off of justicar, requiring a god to bestow it?
>>
>>36167777
>None of you actually recognized that pic, did you? im so old, god

I did a quick search, and that looks like it was from late 90's.

I would have to say that was after quite a bit after my time watching TV cartoons.

So don't feel too bad.
>>
>>36168139
>ah, spanish speaker, too? i had to download them to see them
Hebrew actually.
>>
>>36168139
t1 is a normal job you can get from the Church, sort of a "fight the divine fight" recruiting.

t2 is the actual virusbusting job, and may or may not be secret.

t3...do we still need a t3?
>>
>>36168327
if its real in your mind then it is REAL. also its a quest so not even the MC is "real"
>>
>>36168347
Going off of this concept,

+4str
+2dex
+2con
+2wis
+4cha

+1 divine magic

divine
angel summoning - call a specific type of angel to support a single friendly target. You can call one angel for every 5 levels of the class.
guardian - automatically cancel one attack against you per turn
warrior - grants x5 base damage for one hit during your turn
supporting - lets you bypass sphere limits for casting healing spells once per turn

chivalry
Horn of the einherjar - Once per day, you can summon an army of ghostly apparitions to aid you in combat
>>
>>36168139
>Realize we are going to waifu the antivirus angel
Who is your favorite angel? esette, Kaspera, Bidef, Norta?
>>
>>36168327
Time spent is measured in years which the MC physically experienced. Dreamtime doesn't really do that. When's the last time you dreamed about years worth of experiences?

Besides, with the many worlds theory this could be an actual reality. That world behaves like a program/game, but the program is the whole world and the universe itself the computer. There is nothing "outside" or "beyond" the "system" save for yet other worlds and universes that have no effect on this cosmic mainframe and have no way of interacting with it outside of actually finding a way to become part of the "program" within it (i.e. "enter" the computer program itself as an established type of entity bound by that entity's ruleset. You couldn't make yourself the "one true god of all creation" and gain the ability to change everything on a whim, but you could become a "god" which are powerful yet also limited in the scope of what they can directly affect).

We are in a similar predicament. If there are other worlds and such out there, we have not yet the ability to perceive or interact with them. Apparently, the denizens of those places are having similar problems. Or at least I hope they do, because that also means we couldn't detect it if they were.
>>
>>36168347
>But then why does the job exist at all?
That is a good point. maybe it was created by demons? the gods are maybe not all powerful. just very powerful and opposed by other entities. Dark ones. Ones who would try to corrupt eldrik with promises of power, women, and wealth heh, all the stuff he already has as a champion of the light :)

Although there is a difference between summoning demons, and binding demons someone ELSE summoned for easier disposal.
Or maybe even to undemonify them (transform them into a regular monster via application of debugging)
>>
>>36168682
>Or maybe even to undemonify them (transform them into a regular monster via application of debugging)
that would be the antivirus equivalent of cleaning a file rather than deleting it.

I did consider it just to scare everyone for a moment. It was something like

"you wake up, having miraculously survived the crash. Your family and friends are all around you, having stayed by your side while you were sleeping. Lyann and Mako, your childhood friends, are crying of happiness while your pal Okaba gives a relived face"

Something like that

>>36168347
>But then why does the job exist at all?
because some gods think they're funny

I dont see what justicar has to do, summons are more of an archbishop thing

>>36168372
oh, so it wasnt just spanish speakers who got shafted then

Well, if you guys just want a reversal, let me think...

Speed of Light ~ you can charge/teleport against anyone you can see within the battlefield, as long as there is enough room for it.
Circle of Protection ~ You can only choose this ability during the first turn of the fight. Choose a type of energy. Holy, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, Unholy, Wood or Metal. Whenever a source of damage of that type would deal damage to you, you can pay 1MP as a free action to prevent that damage.
???MP - Forcefield: As you choose forcefield, pay X mana. All damage sources deal X less damage to you.

Thats off the top of my head
>>
>>36168139
I'm conflicted between making netnavis or white blood cells.

Netnavis
Buster
The summon fires a ball of "magic" that re-initializes, I mean restores a target to its base form. On non-demons, this move deals no damage and removes buffs/debuffs/modifications. Against demons, this move acts as a basic attack that ignored all Armor(too strong?).

White Blood Cell
Devour
Make a STAT check against STAT. On success, the white Blood Cell envelops a single adjacent target, stunning them while slowly dealing damage. Non-demons may make a STAT check against STAT to break out every round, killing the White Blood Cell.

they're more buffs than summons. And the concept seemed like an extension of the holy warrior thing paladins and justicars have going.
>>

>angel summoning - call a specific type of angel to support a single friendly target. You can call another angel every 5 levels of the job after the 1st.

i always liked the gods as very powerful, but not all powerful entities. In this case, they can only act within a limited range of their shrines, and have a limited number of shrines, for example

I like your idea of debugging the demons

Combat stats equal to wisdom bonus, don't count as summons though. Levels equal to 60+Angeuls job levels?
>>
>>36168776
That would likely require ascending beyond all known levels of all realities. To become "God" in a way that fits the definition given by the major monotheistic religions of the real world.

Some people theorize that this "true god" created things like us in the hopes they would one day become like itself, all-knowing and all-powerful. Of course, the ultimate goals of such an entity, if it exists, would be inscrutable to us mere mortals. But that may be something it'd go for. It was the "prime mover" or "first existence" after all, maybe he wants bros up there that won't go crazy and ruin everything in all worlds yet retains a free will outside its own control for some reason. Or perhaps we have a "will" because he gave us a part of itself and it returns to it upon death or crystallizes in a new, different reality as another type of entity with free will.

Who knows? Only one way to find out but I rather like being alive right now and so won't be doing that anytime soon.

>>36169454
That's actually a thing. In studies it was found that if one possessed a sense then lost it later in life they retained it in their dreams. In dreams the deaf heard music and symphonies and the blinded saw perfectly (some even claimed their dreams looked more beautiful than reality ever did).

And any day for me, I am currently a NEET.

Bearing in mind this is without adding any of the new jobs...

Assuming that the people getting xp are Elrdic, Lyann, Mako, Ami, Mai, Okaba, Aura, Honoria, Stella, Zoe, Alard, and further assuming only eldric gets a 1/6 share, everyone else gets a 1/12 share to signify two groups, eldric would get 768035 xp.

This lets us unlock most of the jobs in the pdf, barring the thief and warrior lines, with enough xp left over to bring all our t1 jobs to 30 and most t2 jobs that don't unlock anything to 10.

That's not quite grandpa-tier, but it's not that far off, anymore. Highest stats would be dex and wis, both around 2800. 200k hp, 4k mp, 1000 cha, 500 app, 900 melee skill. Mako, Stella, Zoe, Okaba, Honoria and Alard would all get gigantic boosts in power as well.
>>
>>36171701
Oh, since we have champion now, it would take more than 20,000 damage a turn to even begin to hurt us.
>>
>>36171769
Remember back in the day when Brass hit us for 75 damage and it made our knees all rubbery?

Yeah, good times.
