> PREVIOULSY ON MAGICAL GREEN LANTERN: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Green%20Lantern

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJOjTNuuEVw

You whistle to the tune projected from your orange construct of a radio, which is yours by the way. You are Lumière Berger, and everything is yours! This huge temple to the Orange Lantern which sits glowing in your lap is yours, Clarissa the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 is yours, and Chaselon the Green Lantern of Sector 1417 is yours as well, and all these orange Power Rings are yours.

Basically speaking a lot of things are yours, and you could really go for some strudel right now.

You sit back on your projected throne, then snap your finger, giggling as Clarissa reluctantly grovels her way to your feet. She glares at you, her teeth gnashing together as she says, “What do you want?” Oh man, if she access to her powers, she’d be rolling all over you, but those orange chains of yours are wrapped around her body tight.

You kick off your boots, then present your stinky, sweaty feet to her. You wiggle her toes at her, to which she recoils in disgust. “Foot massage.” You plant your foot on her face, to which she groans very loudly, then starts massaging them gently. Ooooh lala~…

“Um. Green Lantern Berger.” You look over to Chaselon, who hovers over your shoulder. “Perhaps you should give up your Orange Lantern? And return it to Larfleeze?”

You tighten your grip on the Orange Lantern, pouting at him. “Never! It’s mine! And not yours!”

“I did not say-“

“You were implying it!” you yell. Chaselon simply floats there, also wrapped up in orange chains.

Hm… You actually haven’t seen Larfleeze since yesterday. You wonder what happened to him.

You kick Clarissa in the head, knocking her down. “Agh! Son of a gun!”

“That’s it!” you yell. You stand up, sweeping your showgirl skirt back with a projection of orange wind for dramatic purposes! You pick up Clarissa and slide down the mountain of Orange Power Rings, then stand her down on the floor. “Clarissa, let’s play some dress up, it’s been ages since I get to play with a dolly and now I have one right here and she is mine, how jovial!”

She sighs. “Oh. I knew this was coming.” You quickly sweep all her clothes down, to which she immediately covers herself. Chaselon floats up behind you, curious. “Hey! I wasn’t ready!”

You sit down in a projection of a director’s chair, cross your legs, and then give yourself a loudspeaker, a beret on your head, and cigarette holder. Now you are D.W. Griffith or even Cecil B. DeMille! “Alright, mademoiselle! Time for the show!” You clap your hands.

A very tight orange shirt wraps around Clarissa’s chest with a black vest, then a pair of shorts over her legs, then high cowboy boots, then one of those ridiculous Stetsons to finish it off! Now there is an American you can be sure of! “Now all you need is a horse!” You snap your finger, and a horse immediately appears next to her, whinnying and neighing.

Clarissa glares at you. “Sweetcheeks, come on, you need to snap out of this-“ You plant tape over her mouth.

“DO NOT INTERRUPT ME!” you scream. “THIS IS MY SHOW NOW! NOT YOURS!” Hm, speaking of strudel. You do need to go back to Earth. THERE ARE NAZIS ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE NOW. Ugh, that is going to suck. “However, I say the show ends now, because we must be going soon.” You pull up the Orange Lantern, then plant your orange and green ring against it. Time to recite the Oath.

What’s mine is mine!
And mine and mine!
We hold true these three inalienable rights, property, property, and property!
And it’s all mine, Orange Lantern’s light!

Your orange ring flashes orange, while your green ring simply stays solid green, inert. Whatever, it’s time to-

The Orange Lantern flies out of your hand, and gets pinned to a wall in the back of the room by a red glowing spike. “WHO DID THAT!?” You look to the entrance.

A young girl, wearing a red glowing armored dress, and wielding a glowing red lance stands at the door. “If it isn’t Berger the Lesser.”

“AND IF IT ISN’T-…” You blink. “I am sorry, who are you?”

“Cherry Brigantina. I tried to kill your father. Red Lantern. Jewish.” She shrugs, her eyes squinting at you. “I’ve been busy, and so have you apparently.”

“YOU CAN’T HAVE MY LANTERN! IT’S MINE!” You whip an orange chain at her. She spins her lance in her hand, then smacks it out of the way. Oh boy. You run back for the Lantern, still pinned to the wall.

“Nope.” She hefts up a javelin overhand, then lets fly. It zooms right through your skirt, and pins you to the wall. You’re just out of reach of your Lantern, darn it! You grab the Javelin.

And immediately regret your decision! IT BURNS, BURNS! You grab your hand, screaming as your hand scorches. You immediately regret doing that! You look back at her. Hm, she’s quite pretty. SHE’D MAKE AN EXCELLENT DOLL LIKE CLARISSA! You grab your skirt, then pull, tearing it away from the javelin. “Alright, alright! There must be some kind of misunderstanding here!” you say.

Larfleeze pops out from behind her. “There she is! That’s the girl who took my shiny! Get her!”

“LARFLEEZE!” You point at him. “YOU LITTLE GOATHEADED MONSTER! I’LL KILL YOU! THIS IS MY LANTERN NOW!” You pull the Lantern from the wall.

Clarissa and Chaselon simply stand there, awkwardly as Cherry begins advancing on you. “Look here, you are going to come with me and you will-“

The ceiling explodes. Kilowog and Tomar-Re drop in, pointing their rings at Cherry. “In the name of the Green Lantern Corps, stop right where you are!” yells Tomar-Re.

“DOES EVERYONE WANT MY LANTERN! JESUS CHRIST!” You scream. You heft up the Lantern. “IT’S MY LANTERN, SCREW YOU ALL!” You start running like the little girl you are, to hell with everything.

“Oh no you don’t!” Kilowog blasts a ball and chain onto your leg. You flip over and fall flat on your face. Tomar-Re splits the chains on Chaselon and Clarissa, and immediately the two surround you, aiming their rings at you.

“Give it up!”

“Noooo~!” you whine, hugging the Lantern like a teddy bear.

“MINE!” Larfleeze grabs one end, and you pull on the other. The great ancient artifact which has powered the Orange Lantern Corps is now being used in a tug of war session! You both scream.

Clarissa forces her arms under your armpits, then pulls on you. “LET IT GO!”

“NO!” you scream.

“Green Lantern Berger, please let it go!” says Chaselon.

Cherry, Kilowog, and Tomar-Re walk up to you. “YOU CAN’T MAKE ME LET IT GO!” you scream. “IT’S MINE! IT SHOULD BE MINE! I DESERVE IT!”

Cherry responds with a whack to the face.

-

Ugh… You open your eyes, then see the Orange Lantern is back in Larfleeze’s hands. He cuddles it, laughing and adoring it like a child on Christmas! The little goatman! You try to charge forward, only to be stopped by green chains.

You look to your hand, the Orange ring is gone. No! No!

Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Cherry, Clarissa, and Chaselon look down on you, huddled around you. “We have stripped you of the Orange Lantern, Green Lantern Berger,” says Tomar-Re. “How do you feel?”

You look at the Orange Lantern. “C-… can I have back?” They all look at you, cautiously. You give them the full puppy dog Steel eyes, pleading. “Please, I want it back.”

“NO!” Larfleeze yells in your face, surprising you. “IT’S MINE, NOT YOURS!” He spits on your cheek. That little monster! He looks to his puddle on your skin, and then quickly scoops it up in his hand then licks it. “That’s mine too.” He turns away and starts crawling back into the darkness. “Now get out of my house you freeloaders!”

“GET BACK HERE!” you scream. “YOU LITTLE MONSTER, I’LL-“ Clarissa tapes over your mouth. You yell at her, trying to insult her in French as they drag you out.

Tomar-Re looks to Cherry. “What brought you to Green Lantern Berger?”

“I was seeking her out for information,” she says. “I was in Atrocitus’ court with the Red Lantern Corps, when one day a giant yellow beast calling himself Legion came to Atrocitus. He offered power, and revenge against the Guardians in exchange for his help.” She looks down at you, struggling and writhing. “I did not trust him, so I figured I’d try to gather some information.”

Kilowog huffs. “Well, we ain’t just going to trust Red Lanterns with no confidential information. Legion is an enemy of ours, and we ain’t saying anymore.”

“Yeah!” Clarissa slides in front of her, jabbing her chest with her finger. “So buzz off, spear lady!”

And we found it in the Orange Lantern Corps, which is why me and Chaselon came here. We found that Lantern and it was…” You blink, looking back at the temple. “It was so shiny and… mine…”

Clarissa pats your cheek, snapping you out of it. “Come on, hotbuns, don’t turn on us now.”

Cherry tilts her head, crossing her arms. “Legion intends to destroy Oa? That is ambitious of him, but I suppose not unfounded. I was told of Legion being one of the victims of the Guardian’s wrath, alongside Atrocitus’ people at the hands of their automaton police force, the Manhunters.”

“Pardon?” Chaselon floats up to Cherry. “Did you say Manhunters?” Cherry nods. “Why, Legion has recruited the Manhunters to his cause!”

“What?” Cherry looks at you all. “Is this floating pearl speaking correctly?”

“Oui,” you nod. “Why?”

“The Manhunters slaughtered his people, and everything else in his Sector,” says Cherry. “Nearly everything was wiped out. And now Legion recruited them to his cause? Atrocitus would never stand for that!”

Red lives with her parents.
Clarissa must be a model or something.
Clarissa lives alone in a small apartment.
She doesn't have any friends besides Lumière and Red.
Her life outside being a Green Lantern is horrible and she idolized Lumi before she became a Lantern herself.

“Wait, the Manhunters did what?”

Cherry sighs. “I’d hate to explain but…” She begins explaining anyway. “Many eons ago, the Manhunters swarmed over Sector 666, the home of my Lord and Master, Atrocitus. He lost home, wives, and children when they came and rendered nearly every sentient species there extinct, and he along with five other beings became known as the Five Inversions. He crafted the first Red Lantern, and in turn swore revenge on the Guardians for what they did to him.”

Tomar-Re. “My goodness.”

“That can’t be right!” says Kilowog. “The Manhunters were shut down because they were obsolete, not because they…” He growls, knowing it to be true.

“Well, you should him then!” you say. “Perhaps the Red Lanterns and the Green Lantern Corps can work together.”

“Hold on,” says Clarissa. “Why would we work together with a bunch of rage-filled floozies?” Cherry stomps on her foot, and she quickly recoils in pain. “Ah, you little bitch!”

Guys.

I know what the issue was.

The orange did not compliment the green, and easily was able to override it. We need complimentary colors for this to work.

We need a red lantern, and we need to fuse them.

And lucky us, there's a member of the Red Lanterns right here.
>>
I swear, the orange light is going to be like crack in it's always sunny in Philadelphia

You push Cherry away, glaring at her. “We have to. Unless you prefer the Orange Lantern.” The Green Lanterns all glance at each other, agreeing that it is not the preferable solution. “Good.” You look to Cherry. “Go inform Atrocitus. Hopefully he will do what is expected of him.”

Cherry nods. “Just to let you know, Berger the Lesser. My vendetta with your Father is not yet fulfilled. I will have my revenge after this business with Legion is done.”

“Noted.” With that, Cherry blasts off into the sky.

Tomar-Re scratches his beak, grim. “This complicates things.” He looks down to you. “If the Manhunters really did massacre an entire Sector, and the Guardians never told us… Maybe even lied to us.”

“This is out of control now!” says Kilowog. “Every day, Sinestro is looking more and more right! I can’t believe that little pisser…” He looks down to you. “Listen, poozer. Me and Tomar-Re will do everything we can to help you.”

“That is right. The Corps is whom we served, and we will defend it with our lives. What will have us do?”

>>
>>36311356
No, I don't think Lumi has ever expressed much hope in anything. She's sort of charged through with an ignorant confidence. She's despaired a bit, and she's entirely entitled to do so. Maybe she could use hope, but it's not a native occurrence in this situation.

Tomar-Re nods. “I will seek out who I can. Kilowog, you know Ganthet as well as we, but he has always deferred to you as the Corps’ trainer. We believe you should go.” Well said, you, Clarissa, and Chaselon agree with that.

“Fine,” says Kilowog. “Better not be a waste of my time.” He puffs air, turning to leave. “Hope, stupid power.” He blasts off.

Tomar-Re looks to you. “As for you, Green Lantern Berger, the Guardians will want to see you.”

“Right,” you say. “Don’t worry, I got it.”

“Incompetence, arrogance, recklessness!” You do not have this. You nod. “I would’ve done a lot of bad stuff.” Ouch, that could’ve been phrased better.

Legion is going to the Red Lanterns for extra power, just like I said. We’ve done all we can to deter it, and with them out of the way, we have a shot. When I told our Red Lantern friend that Legion was being supported by the Manhunters, I was able to turn it in our favor. Do you know why?”

The Guardians are quiet.

“Tell me, Guardians. Why exactly did you shut down the Manhunters?” you ask, full well knowing the answer.

They glance at each other, their expressions betraying nothing. Finally, they look upon you. “They were declared obsolete, and thus were retired in favor of the Green Lantern Corps,” says one, simply.

Clarissa steps up. “You know that’s bullshit!” You look at her, oh here we go. “They slaughtered entire galaxies in one sector!”

“That is an unfounded rumor based on the thoughts of a mad extremist,” says a Guardian. “We will speak no more of the Manhunters. As for you Green Lantern Berger of Sector 2814, your punishment must be more severe.” Oh great. “You will be confined to your home planet for a period of one of your Earth months, pending a trial for your dismissal from the Green Lantern Corps!”

You nod. “I will look into it, Monsieur. Thank you for not interrupting me on the bath for once.” He nods, then his screen disappears. “Clarissa, would you come with me?” She nods, crossing her arms, serious. “Good, good. Let’s head out.” The two of you open up your window, then head out.

The biting winds of the arctic chill and make your bones run cold. Winters never really appealed to you anyway you suppose. You scan the area with your ring. “You see anything?” yells Clarissa. You shake your head.

Your ring beeps. Wait, you got something.

> SCANNING…
> DIMENSIONAL TEAR SPOTTED, RECOMMEND CLOSURE.

“Alright! We have a tear!” You both drop down through the clouds, and right over the vast white wasteland of the arctic. You drop down into the snow, and face the rip in reality, as big as a house. You can see what appear to be vast green fields through the static and the noise as it swirls and distorts. “Wow,” you say. You can hear voices from within, some calling to a Princess, horses, and other things. It’s like a fantasy kingdom in there!

“Right,” says Clarissa. You and Clarissa hold up your rings. “Let’s shut this thing down.”

“… help me!”

“Wait!” you say. “Did you hear that?”

Clarissa shakes her head. “No. What did you hear?”

Clarissa crosses her arms. “I dunno, it seems sketchy.”

“Just trust me.” You walk up to it. “And if it is sketchy, then I will owe you a favor.” She shrugs, satisfied with that. The two of you step into the tear.

You both fall to the ground, making neat imprints of your bodies as impact craters. You both stand up, to find yourself in a strange little village. The roofs are thatched, the walls are wood, and the streets are non-existent! It looks like a medieval village of some sort! “Where are we?” asks Clarissa.

A frog pokes his head out of a window, a very big frog. More poke their heads out, curious. You can hear them whisper to each other, murmuring about you two.

“Pffft! No!” She huffs, folding her arms up and turning her nose sky blue high. “To heck with that, I eat frogs for breakfast!” Oooh lala~! This is precious. But you have a task to attend to however.

“Who are you!?” you yell to them. “Where is this?”

A frog leaps out of his house, wearing clothes fit for a peasant. “We are the people of the House of Amethyst! This is our village, in the fiefdom of our lord and master, Princess Amethyst!” He points behind you, to which you all look to see a great big crystal castle in the distance.

Wow, how did you not notice that?

“This is Gemworld!” he says.

You nod. “Okay. Okay…” Weird. Frog people, Princesses, you’ve definitely walked into something weird. You look to the frog people as they start gathering around. “Oui, so, I heard someone cry for help. Is there-“

A village house explodes. “Help me!” A frog person leaps from place to place, screaming in fright. “It’s an ogre! An ogre!” A giant brown beast roars, throwing a club around and smashing buildings left and right. Oh boy.

Clarissa and you raise your rings. Time to work!

“Clarissa!”

“Yeah!”

The two of you fistbump your rings, giving your rings the charge it needs. You slam your ring into the ground, creating cracks and fissures in the earth. Out of it, pops out the flag of the Old Guard, of the Imperial Guard. The Immortals. They form a disciplined line, surprising the ogre.

Clarissa forms up at the head next to the Imperial Eagle, with a bicorne hat and a green overcoat. She holds up a sword. “Make ready!” Their muskets clatter as they raise them up. “’SENT!” They aim them at the ogre, who roars defiantly at them. “FIRE!”

The volley booms throughout Gemworld. The ogre flies back, its tough skin ripping and tearing from the green bullets of the Old Guard. It immediately charges however, undaunted. The Old Guard roar like furies, charging it. They are swatted away like flies, crushed like bugs, and punched like amateur boxers.

Clarissa flies up and punches him with a green fist, knocking him back.

The ogre roars, slapping Clarissa down to the ground next to you. She digs into the ground with her landing, stopping right by you. “Ugh!” She stands up, dusting herself off and mending her dress a bit as the ogre continues to wreak havoc on the village. “That thing’s tough! The hide’s as thick as Hoover’s skull!”

You nod, putting on a helmet and taking a lance one of your projections offers you. “That may be, that may be…” you say grimly. Clarissa turns around, to see what you’ve got in store. “But we’ll match him with our lancers.” Behind you and ready to follow your lead are the Lancers of the Vistula Legion, some of the most noble cavalry, each Lancer here worth ten French cavalrymen. A bugler calls down the charge, and you lower your lances. Clarissa hops onto your horse with you, summoning up a gun harness filled with machine guns.

“Charge!” you scream. The Vistula Legion thunders forward, trampling grass and dirt underneath their hooves and bringing their lances ahead. The ogre wails, defiant. Big mistake. The first lances connect, snapping their heads into his skin and stinging him. Then the next row of lances find their marks, slashing his legs and skewering into his arms.

Clarissa stands up on your saddle, then fires off all her ammunition, screaming over the sound of bullets. They wash over the great beast’s skin, like fire on a rock. He can do nothing but scream in pain and cover his eyes.

Big mistake. You lower your lance, and smash it right into his neck. It skewers through like a kebab, right through his throat.

The ogre falls down, dead. The Polish cheer hurrah, one last time before you whisk them away. The frog people cheer and shout in glee, as the ogre is dead.

“Well-“ War horns sound. You all look around, confused. The frog people stop their cheering, and start trying to make their village tidy. “What’s that noise?” you ask.

One of the frog happily cheers, “Princess Amethyst approaches!”

“Tut, tut, let’s see what she is like first. Perhaps she will be grateful, we’ll even get a reward for taking down this ogre!” you say. You really do hope you get a reward, that would be wonderful! You sit down on the ogre’s head, as does Clarissa, who simply sulks, crossing her legs.

“This better be worth it,” says Clarissa.

You smile at her. “Do not worry.”

Soon enough, in the sky, you see what appears to be a pegasus with a horn on his head. On his gemstone-encrusted saddle, sits a young lady, wearing a violet dress, with simple armor plates, and with a simple tiara as well. On her skirt are two great glowing gemstones. Her red hair flows, curling much like Clarissa’s hair. The frog people all bow to her, welcoming her as the Pegasus lands. She looks to you two, surprised. “Oh, did you two already kill the ogre?” she speaks with quite the British accent. “Thank you.” She dismounts, smiling as she approaches you two. “I am afraid I…”

Wait. She looks familiar.

You stand up, narrowing your eyes. “… Amy Winston?”

She blinks, turning away. “Oh, no! I am- I’m Princess Amethyst of Gemworld!” She raises her arms, smiling forcefully. “See! I don’t know any Amy Winston, ehehehe…”

Princess Amethyst as you will refer to her looks at you both, shyly. “Ehehehe… well uh… Okay um.” She twiddles her fingers nervously. “You know, I’m not normally mousy or shy or nothing but- I am having a very difficult time trying to figure out how to explain Gemworld to you.”

You shrug. “I’m used to interdimensional travel by now.”

Clarissa nods. “Yeah, nothing surprises us anymore.”

“Okay, okay um…” She looks over at her Pegasus, who simply neighs gruffly. “Oh, don’t give me that look.” She looks back to you. “Right, my name is Amy Winston. But during times of crisis for Gemworld, I am Princess Amethyst! They first came to me by forcefully sucking me out of my room and into this book!” She holds up the book that you autographed, the Principality of Gemworld. “It’s a magic book that leads into this world!”

You nod. “Oui, we entered it via that tear up there.” You point up to it, where it still swirls about.

“Oh.” She blinks. “Well, um.” She folds her arms up, trying to find words again. “Apparently, I was born here, and apparently everything here is magic, as am I. And that means I live a double life as the ruler of the House of Amethyst and as Amy Winston, normal British girl, yes?”

“Fair enough,” says Clarissa. “Seems like a nice place.”

“Oh, wait until you see Dark Opal,” she says. “Actually, I am glad you two are here. I wanted to request a favor from the Green Lanterns.”

“What do you need?” Anything for a fan after all!

“Gemworld is under siege from a strange force from beyond this world. We do not know what it is, but they seem to inspire great fear in even our greatest of warriors,” she says. “I would like for you two to help me defeat them and drive them back where they came from!”

Even though she's a ruler in this world, there is a very present and looming threat that may engulf the whole of the other world that she lives in as well. Any assistance she can give would be greatly appreciated.

You nod. “We will do this favor for you, no strings attached.” She grins, happily. “However, we must note that there is a threat hanging over our heads in the real world. Any assistance you provide us will be most welcome.”

“Of course!” she says. “I will gladly fight by your side, Green Lantern!” She coughs, quickly, smiling nervously. “Of course, you probably get that a lot, sidekicks trying to uh… be your sidekick.”

You nod, smiling back. “Well, I’ve got a few here and there,” you say. You snap your fingers. “One thing I must ask though, do you have helmets?” She nods. “Once we’re done with this, I would like a look at them. I have a friend who could use one.”

“Right!” She hops on her Pegasus-Unicorn. “Follow me!” She taps her gemstone on her skirt, and pulls out a glowing violet sword and a glowing violet heart-shaped shield. “To the everlasting glory of Gemworld!” You hover up, then fly on after her.

Clarissa sighs. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”

Before stands a great stormcloud, like a hurricane of sorts. Yellow lightning strikes the Earth of Gemworld, sprouting great big yellow crystals from their impacts. You can see trails of fleeing townspeople of various animal ancestries and races. “There it is,” says Princess Amethyst. “Many heroes of Gemworld have attempted to break the cloud and restore peace to the region, all have failed. Even my beloved Prince Topaz was forced to retreat from there.”

You nod. “What can we do?”

“We move in, and smash the thing to bits!” says Clarissa.

Princess Amethyst grins. “I like the way you think, yankee!” She snaps the reins on her Pegasus-unicorn-thing. “Forward then!” You dive down after Princess Amethyst and Clarissa, ready to rumble! You set foot on the soft Earth, standing in the presence of these great giant yellow crystals.

You feel unnerved, scared even in their presence. Even Clarissa looks a bit shaken. Princess Amethyst sends her steed away, leaving you three. “Right, what’s the plan, Green Lantern?”

Clarissa knows how to handle herself, and this is a good time for us to get a feel on how the new girl goes about her business.

And we actually get to be sempai for once.

Giant yellow crystals are something to be concerned about. Strength in numbers.

She's the one with doubts about all this. I'd like to know why.

You pull up your ring. “Follow me.” They immediately hide behind you. Ugh. You step forward, scanning around corners with your ring through this forest of yellow electric crystals. Your ring beeps.

> LIFE FORM DETECTED

“There’s something in here with us,” you say.

You keep stepping forward. Lightning crackles around you. The hairs on the back of your neck stand up, your skin feels clammy with goosebumps. Oh, nothing is good about any of this!

You hear a tap.

You spin around, aiming your ring. “Show yourself!” you yell. Clarissa pulls up her ring as well, and Princess Amethyst readies her sword and shield. Whatever’s here, you’re ready to take it down!

He steps out from behind the crystal, bearing a yellow ring on his hand.

“No…” You step back. “Y-… It cannot be!”

Clarissa charges at him. She’s slapped aside by a yellow blast of energy, smacking into a crystal, KO’d. Princess Amethyst follows suit, but is binded by yellow chains, and is then thrown aside to the ground. You simply stand there.

No, anybody but him.

He smiles. “Lumiere. Lovely to see you again.”
