YOU are Mato Tsuruya, it's the first day of the month that comes after July (whichever that is), and you're cuddling Akari like no Akari has been cuddled before.

She's so warm and soft and-

Your red-haired girlfriend makes a cute little noise and adjusts her body's orientation a bit, burying her face in your chest. She murmurs a soft 'Mato' and warms ever-so-slightly, and you can practically feel the heat blossoming in your cheeks.

She's all yours, forever and ever. Your precious Akari.

You sigh quietly and hold her a bit tighter, pressing her warm form more closely to your own.

As warm and comfy as you are, you don't want to fall back asleep. You don't exactly want to wake Akari up just yet, either, though, so you find yourself just... waiting.

You're not sure if 'basking' is the right word to use, here, but you can't help but feel like one of those lizards in a desert, just chillin' out on a warm rock and being warm and stuff.

You lie there for maybe a half-hour before Akari begins to stir. A look at the clock tells you it's around 9 AM, and Akari's half-lidded eyes meet yours when you return your gaze to her. “Mato...chan...?” she mumbles, clearly still out of it.

You reach down and seize her bottom, using her bum as a hand-hold to slide her face closer to yours. She gasps a little at this, probably because you just squeezed her butt, but maybe because she just moved without her own volition (it was totally because you grabbed her butt, by the way).

When her face is close enough to yours, you bring her into a kiss.

Her eyes go wide for a moment, and the hand still on her bum is hastily removed in order to avoid being burned to a crisp, but, after she realizes it's you, she relaxes, and even returns your still-tender hand to her bum.

Which, by the way, /really/ hurts.

She doesn't seem to understand how uncomfortable burns are- which is understandable, really, given she can't be burned- but she says 'sorry' with her eyes when you yelp and pull your hand away.

“I'm sorry, Mato,” she says, pulling back away from your kiss, “I... you kinda startled me, and-”

TAKE THIS UNDER ADVISEMENT, AKARI!

Okay, writing!
>>
You decide that now is the time.

She can't just hurt people, even if she doesn't realize she's doing it.

'Cause that's a bunch of crap.

You've gotta make it clear to her that people aren't fireproof, so she won't make that mistake again, with someone who can't just shake it off the way you can.

It's time for the big guns.

You pout, pushing out your lower lip and looking straight into her eyes.

You give her a good fifteen seconds of this, before you hug her.

“I'm sorry, Mato,” she says, her voice somewhat stifled due to the fact that she's speaking into your neck, “I won't burn people with my butt anymore, okay?”

“Promise?”

“Yeah.”

You squint at her for a few moments, and she squeaks out an “I promise!”

You flex your fingers and find that your hand has returned to its un-burned state already.

Anon, that's not nearly p/u/re enough.
They can't even stare into each other's eyes like that.

Geez.
>>
Once more, your hands find their way to their rightful place- firmly grasping the posterior of the girl you love.

Akari gives you a Look, but your hands remain unburned, so, as far as you're concerned, the mission is a success!

You grin as you do a motion akin to the dance move some call 'the worm', popping yourself- and Akari- into the air by way of your superhuman strength. You plant a foot down on the floor as Akari yelps and wraps her legs around your waist and her arms around your neck in a desperate and instinctive attempt to not hit the ground like a log.

Which, really, is kinda silly.
Because that implies that you'd ever release Akari's bottom for something as petty as gravity.

Pfft.

You stick the landing, of course, and, ignoring the red streak that darts through the room, laughing and giggling like a gleeful child at play (and pair of cyan streaks chasing after the red one, for that matter).

Akari's eyes come into focus as her disorientation subsides, and she loosens her arms around your neck a bit. “Where...” she blinks a few times. “Oh, r-right. Slept on the couch.”

You grin and brush the tip of your nose against hers. “Akari~” you sing, causing her to redden considerably.

“M-Mato!”

You're about to tease Akari further when a head of yellow peeks out of the kitchen. “I'm gay and all, but... you guys are... something else. Like, gay to the gay'th power or something.”

Mato makes a pleased 'Hmmm' sound, deep in her chest, and smiles broadly. “Good morning to you, too, Fate-chan~!” She sing-songs, “And thanks for the compliment~!”

Fate chuckles, shaking her head, and says something that gets drowned out by Nee-chan's cry of surprise as a half-dressed Miku tackles her through a doorway and into the hall.

The Eye floats into view, pulsating warmly, and a greeting pops into your head. You return the greeting and ask the Eye what it's been up to, and it shows you a bunch of memories that seem to indicate it was riding between Mami's breasts and learning about magic and such from Kyouko.

You decide not to inquire about its predilection towards Mami's bosom.

After all, you can't really blame it.

You yawn, and Mato's stomach growls, a rather tame notification when one considers the ravenous hunger that Mato tends to exhibit.

You are Akari Takamichi, and you feel a strange sense of foreboding.

This morning is so... normal? Perhaps not exactly 'normal,' per se, but... it's like there aren't blue-gray aliens obsessed with using you as a living battery here on Earth. On the planet you call home.

You grimace.

You... how does it make you feel?

“I'm angry.” She seems to deflate a bit, so you specify, “Angry about aliens.”

“... Oh.” She blinks. “That makes sense, I guess.”

Fate frowns even as she presents Mato with food. “Why are you thinking about 'em right now, Akari-chan? I would've thought gazing soulfully into Mato-chan's eyes would've had your complete and undivided attention.”

Mato lets you down, and moves to the table and begins eating. You stand behind her and play with her long, black hair, massaging her scalp and just generally running your fingers through it. “They messed with her mind, Fate-chan. And they're out there messing with other people's minds as we speak, too.” You shake your head. “I can't just stand by and allow that to happen. It's vile and disgusting, and it warrants... correction.”

Fate considers your statement for a moment, then nods. “What're you thinking, then? How do we 'correct' them?”

You shrug. “Violence. We fight fire with fire.” You grin. “I'm pretty good at that, you know.”

She smirks and shakes her head. “Is that the whole plan, then?”

“Their asses are un-kicked,” you reason, “thus, we have asses to kick. Lots of them.”

“So,” you say, steepling your fingers and resting your chin on your thumbs, your elbows, in turn, resting on the table, “how do we deal with these aliens? These... 'Tau,' I think?”

Fate indicates that Mokarin can't handle the sort of output she displayed before on a regular basis, and, thus, that she can't really be relied on as an asset. She also notes that, while their foot-soldiers are pathetic in close quarters, the capabilities of those mech-suit-things of theirs are an unknown.

Nee-chan explains that the Tau seem to favor more decisive and rapid battle tactics, rather than participating in wars of attrition or sieges, and mentions that the tests performed thus far have shown that the armor on modern main battle-tanks isn't nearly tough enough to withstand any sort of engagement with the aliens and their weapons.

Miku comments that she's making headway with the weapon she's working on, and proposes making larger and more heavily armored tanks- modern MBTs are built to be extremely fast (for tanks, that is) in order to use blitzkrieg tactics similar to those used by the Germans in the second world war, and tend to fall short in urban environments anyways.

She goes on to explain the ways they'll probably influence people, and points out that it's similar to the way idols build a fan-base- they can't have their mind-controll-y guys using their powers on everyone at all times, after all, so they'll almost certainly use their abilities to make astoundingly-good first impressions, and then build their reputation on that good faith (and more mind controlling here-and-there, of course).

>>
>>36403107
So, This boils down to:
>Get in close and fuck their shit up.
>Make Land Raiders, Leman Russes and Rhinos. Basilisks are a good idea agaimst the Walkers.
>Don't let them make a Good first impression. Make sure the people are clad in the Armor of Contempt, to better defend themselves from the lies of the Xeno.
>Though making sure that there's always someone immune to Mind Control nearby should be sufficient.

“As soon as they slip up,” Miku says, “I'll do a 'super-important message from Miku-chan!' or somethin', y'know? Show everyone what's going on. As long as I've got something to back my words up, the whole world will look and listen.”

“Precia's working on developing some sort of armor that makes the wearer really fast and mobile or something like that,” Fate says, “and there's something about... psi-amplification, too.” She furrows her brow as she reads from her phone's screen. “Yeah... I think that would go well with whatever huge tanks you come up with, right?”

Nee-chan seems to have some ideas regarding 'huge tanks,' ideas that you think the Sisters and their 'BATTLE-BROTHER' would appreciate very much.

You peer at the sketches your sister has wrought and raise an eyebrow.

“Does it really need that many turrets?”

She just shrugs.

Mato places a baseball-sized rock on the table and says, “I could probably do a lot of damage if I had grenades or something.”

The thought of Mato chucking grenades the way a major league pitcher chucks baseballs frightens you a bit.
It also strikes you as being... kinda hot.

You shake your head.

Now's not the time.

You need to consider stuff and things.

I, too, refuse that fate.
This is just deciding what you, personally, look into.

I.E., if you don't look into tanks, then Nee-chan will, and she has my taste in oversized tanks.

The biggest tanks. But smaller than the Batomys, I think. I'm pretty sure, anyways.

... Does Akari know about LOLIBOT PRIME?
I forget. I don't think she does, but... if she doesn't, and I don't have her react appropriately... I'd rather avoid that.

Anyways, writing!

To the best of our recollection, she doesn't know anything about it, no.

Hmm.

You're no tank expert, but you get the feeling you'll be wanting a set of whatever armor you can get.

Being in armor sounds nice.

Like it'll make you less likely to get dead or something.

Additionally, you can't help but be intrigued by the amplification thing.

“Tell me more about this... armor, Fate-chan,” you say, “I'm intrigued.”

She nods and looks at her phone. “They call it 'Musume,' and...” she pauses as she reads some more, “the design emphasizes mobility and speed, both terrestrial and aerial, in exchange for being lightly-armored and unarmed- save for the Psi-amps, that is.”

You start to ask another question, and Fate shakes her head. “We can just go and see it for ourselves. It'll be easier than me trying to explain stuff I don't really know anything about.” She snickers. “Besides, I don't think you've seen my 'mother' with her new look yet, have you?”

You shake your head, and Miku chimes in to explain that Fate had her mother's brain transplanted into a robotic little girl body.

What.

Mato seems just as taken aback as you are.

The both of you try to ask questions, but you can't seem to formulate them.

After perhaps fifteen minutes of trying, Mato finally asks, “Why?”

Fate shrugs. “Seemed like a very 'poetic justice' sort of thing to do, y'know?”

Yeah, okay. There's no reason to get... sidetracked.

Neither of you even bother. You just hold hands and follow Fate as she leads you to her mother's workplace.

There's a cute little girl that you assume is Testarossa, who seems to be directing several groups of adults about from atop a stool that lets her be almost as tall as them, and drawings and clay models and computers whose monitors display all sorts of things you're not really sure you recognize.

She seems to notice you, Mato, and Fate as you enter. “Ah, Blondie! I was looking for you. You're an esper, right?” She looks at you and scratches her chin. “And I /know/ you are, Red. You want a Psi-Amp? The procedure's quick and easy, promise!”

Huh?

The tiny, orange-haired girl hops down from her stool and grabs something out of a drawer. “A Psi-Amp. It's a cranial implant, obviously. You have to have one if you want to use the Musume to its full potential!”

You frown. You'll need to know more about this thing-

“Easy! It's quite simple, really...”

Okay, I think that's it for today. We'll pick up on learnin' about Psi-Amps next time, when my brain's working.

G'night!
