Wow for once I ran late...been awhile since that last happened.

Anyway.

A new path is forged, the forest is scouted, and heroes are acquired.

Also Murphy is causing trouble again like connecting the chocolate machine with a sewage pipe.

We have yet to hear an explenation besides 'uhm...'

Bandit bases were located and zombies tried to eat our troops when they delved some ruins.

Really a pretty typical day by post apoc standards got the mads, monsters, banditry, zombies, and other weird shit as usual.

"Ah typo sir was supposed to be Murphy."

"Well sir we are hoping that by studying his pet zombies we will be able to determine just what we are dealing with sir."

"Oh HEY GUYS NICE ZOMBIE YOU GOT THERE" shouted Murphy as he took his pet zombie for a walk right on past the area.

"...wait if this wasn't Murphy's zombie then just whose was it," muttered one of the researchers as he looked over at 'Maury's' pet zombie who had a wicked drooling grin on its face as it stood up before them with broken restraints.

"Oh shit."

"AAHHH!"

And so Murphy walked down the whistling a cheery tune while wearing earphones, walking his pet zombie wearing a head set and attempting to master the art of the moon walk. All the while both seemingly oblivious to the carnage that was going on behind him.

"That you did Murphy that you did...sadly for once I wasn't lying actually it was the truth this time."

"WHHEEE."

"Now about those others that weren't requested..."

"Aww" deflated Murphy.

Meanwhile a certain weapon aka the chocolate crap cannon was unleashed...

ERROR

Do not have access to MAD protocols. MAD protocols require for there to be both those willing to FOLLOW IT and a mad designer/leader who create it. You never bothered having some designed and hence are merely limited to basic protocols. Not to mention the first part used up the MAD as Murphy is required to take part in order for it to be deemed MAD and that was used for the cannon. Otherwise possibly could of done it.

The chocolate crap cannon as it turned out the zombies LOVED it...a bit too much. It was like...chocolate for zombies and they just kept on coming.

While it DID draw zombies out and concentrated them sadly new infected are popping up all over the place.

At this rate containment may fail as previous defenses have already been breeches.
'
"Uh sir we while we ARE able to set up containment and shit don't do us any good if the infection are already passed it. Might need a full blown bunker lock down or some kind of proper quarantine. As is this plague doesn't seem to be halting and keeps on blowing up."

Number of believed infected 300.

Military forces are able to sustain current containment measures to lockdown zombies but are unable to prevent the plague from spreading beyond those points.

current estimates indicate the zombies number anywhere from 200-500. Sadly the usage of hell hound purge makes it hard to determine with any certainty how many zombies have been slain.

current non zombie pop is approximately 1.2k.

Morale has taken quite the hit.

Prez indicates that the zombies...while capable of finding breaches...are also somehow being spawned beyond the points in question.

In other words while we MAY contain the zombies themselves...their sickness not so much.

Zombies have been purged.

places are 'contained'.

Research indicates its some sort of infectious virus and that it doesn't solely rely upon body fluids to spread around easily. This makes it quite sickness happy.

Basically the zombies alone aren't the only carriers of the pathogen. It possesses other ways to spread around.

Current indications unknown as we only have samples from the zombies themselves and they appear to 'radiate' the infection by both breath and other means.

Currently we know its spread by droplets(breath) and bodily fluids.

ALERT

The sickness spreads.

Hmm, so we're dealing with an airborne virus that can't be contained, nor can we adequately purge the air either.

Hell, all the flames we did previously should've burnt out the germs and evaporated the water, but that didn't do diddly. It's heat resistant.

My vote for action is to go Mr.Clean on their ass and run a bleach mix thru the system and empty the air vents with cleaner to make sure the crap is gone for good.

Evacuating the base is not the same as losing it, we evacuated the base in response to zombies moving through the tunnels before, and they left. Zero casualties.
We are a guerrilla society, running away is a legitimate tactic. Especially against zombies who have absolutely no use for our base but will not leave while there are a bunch of uninfected in one place to defend it.

That is fair, but the problem is also coming from the infected on our ranks. It's the infection that turns people and we hadn't been able to tell who they are. Lockdown commenced.

All non essential personnel please enter required stated quarters.

All essential personnel please deploy accordingly.

The zombie plague continues...

losses unknown

--------

Mass amounts of combat and gunfire detected below the bunker.

Unknown forces have entered from the surface.

"All 1a required places to hit is life support, group 1b commencing holding formation, group 1c exploration required, 1d reinforce 1b until word from 1c is acquired, and 1e check ups required make sure to bring escorts."

"Sorry for running late sorta had to go around thanks to certain...concentrations. Must say you really weren't kidding on the whole zombie bait deal."

"Anyway people lets see who have survived and watch out for infected. Never know when they might finally bother showing it."

WARNING
Red Army forces are pouring into the bunker. Setting aflame to everything, pouring gunfire down corridors, and hacking into systems before...manipulating them. They are even busting open areas where are people are holed up in and will either open up with gunfire or drag them out and separate them for god knows what.

Life Support Systems they have locked down first and are cracking them.

Meanwhile strike teams are pouring throughout the bunker while defense formations are made acting as beach heads for further operations. As soon as they 'clear' out an area they then perform a 'cleansing' before securing it and moving on.

mfw you called in Red Army.
>>
>>36433760
And they got a 100 on top of it all.
>>
Rolled 22 (1d100)

>>36433760
...fucking red army bad asses.

So much for all of that I had planned...

The reds...move with alarming efficiency. Overwhelming our forces and defenses much less the zombies. Sifting through their 'captures' before dishing out either an execution or moving them onward to somewhere else.

Meanwhile they swiftly cracked our Life Support Systems despite their heavy protection before commencing manipulations. Ranging from anywhere from outright deactivation to changing air flows, pouring in strange gases, or flooding areas with odd fluid mixtures.

All the while their forces poured throughout the bunker eliminating threats, wiping out entire sections, and commencing a bunker wide purge even far beyond the usual limits of our bunker.

Somehow they find every goddamn nuke and cranny some of which we weren't even aware of.

Regardless it ended...eventually.

though our populace is rather...lacking.

current pop 600.

Military 200.

"Damn you really weren't kidding when you got your ass kicked by that zombie plague. You did a good job with...limiting it but failed in outright removal. Now THAT we have dealt with. Sadly you...seemed to have suffered rather devastating losses Blackwood it would seem quite so."

>>
>>36438135
I will agree to lay off and it's weird to blame one person when three others backed it. I will not lie it was bad to spray our base with shit, but there was some good with grouping the enemy up.

So now that they have all our tech info, I hope we still have some of the labs intact and can find ways to test for infected or can get a way from the Red Army.

>>36438257
Yeah losing over half our people sucked, but all we can do now is improve for next time.
>>
>>36438257
You seem to believe that the action of using the shit cannon turned the normal zombies into super zombies.

You are wrong, they were already super zombies, the shit cannon may have made things a bit worse in some ways, I would argue it did in fact help were it not for the fact it brought a few more zombies to our location.

but did not change diddly squat about how the plague moves, nor did it make the zombies any stronger. The lives of the men we lost were a forgone conclusion, we were just not equipped to handle a zombie plague.

Got it fancy stick?
>>
>>36438323

>>36438323
Eh, I'd call them all out on it just as much except they have the decency to remain anon and not defend their idiotic decision.
>>
>>36438609
Well let's not waste anymore bumps arguing. We need to switch to bump mode until genie gets back from his turkey coma.
>>
>>36438489
I believe it's 60% 1,500 out of 600.

Anyways after the dinner action we will probably need to do Investigate and Lowdown with the prez to get a report on the full damages. Maybe the Red army can help with repairs while they're here.

>>36438609
Can you blame a person for wanting to defend something they believe to be good? Granted this whole dam thread was a mess.
>>
>>36438751
Yeah, I can when it does bad things and they continue to defend it. It only makes it worse when they have a history of similar things in the past, which had similarly horrible results..
>>
>>36438820
Ok, first off, bump mode.

Second, had we NOT had shit tech as a bargaining chip, the reds would NOT have saved us.

if you are so smart, what was your plan?
>>
>>36438820
.... fair to a point. O yeah, I remember those. I hated my self for backing the rubber duckies, it just seemed to fun to pass up. Then the botch roll on General Viczar, dam that hero was badass.

>>36438861
.... I'm sorry, but I laughed. Fighting will not help make this bump mode and some with questions. I personally would like to talk while we can. I seen no reason to bump if we don't have some agreed plan.
>>
>>36438861
Never claimed to be smart, just that you were dumb. Don't have to know the right answer to recognize a wrong one.

The Reds would've come or not as they pleased, but they wouldn't have been necessary if we had taken a proper action the turn after the outbreak instead of throwing the dice on a bad madness plan.

As for my plan, it would've been something to the effect of locking civilians down into as many separate rooms as possible so that any infected couldn't transfer it to others very easily, locking down and wiping out the zombies that were in our base quickly and as quietly as possible, and then dealing with the infected. Can't say it would've turned out better, but it could scarcely have turned out worse.
>>
So, for our minor boon...anyone think we should discover a cache of replacement parts for exactly what was damaged in our bunker? It might be stretched farther if we used it to modify the supplies we have to consist of those.

We should also take care to make a good impression on the Reds whilst they occupy us. Keeping in mind that these are military Reds, so they despise the bourgeois and corruption.
>>
>>36439065
I was liking the idea of improving resistance to the zombies or making sure the animals are immune to it. Although your idea will probably help the base a lot more.

We it's a good thing the prez has
>Pinky: This one is swayed by the words of the lost Red... mild bonus rep and diplomacy for similar however the reverse is true for those who aren't.
>>
>>36439002
So why didn't you suggest any of that during the several turns we were struggling to deal with the zombies?

Not that any of that would have helped, in fact we tried all of that, and it did not work.

You are upset I got a madness plan through, the poop gun did not really hurt us or help us at the time... But we used it as a bargaining chip to get the reds to save us (also my plan)

You did nothing to help move the game forward as far as I can tell.

So how about you stop bitching and try playing the game?
>>
>>36439161
Mostly because I like to watch you flounder in the aftereffects of a terrible plan. It would've been hilarious had the shithawks gone through.
>>
>>36439198
You... You almost had me there for a second. As if you could actually have fun

If that is the case, could you at least enjoy yourself silently? Your ruining my fun, and I would assume others would agree. You are the only one with an issue on how things have gone down so far..
>>
>>36439133
I think the only reason the zombie plague was such a problem was because it got loose in our bunker (to be fair, with our wrecked ventilation and filtration systems it'll likely be much worse in the future) and that only happened on a critfail.
>>
>>36439441
True. I'm thinking pull what the Red Army did and change the air flow will help. We will also need to repair a lot to be ready if this happens again or do testing in a sealed, reinforced and air proof room.
>>
>>36439518
I'm thinking Murphy is a zombie doc, so I'm sure he could design a proper zombie testing room.
>>
>>36439608
He probably has some boons for it, mainly because of the pet.

I kind of want to know who Lexi Lurta is (>>36434018). That seemed out of place, I'm guessing the 100 unlocked a new one for us. Which gives us 5 heroes and 1 AI. With 5 fate points/heroes walking around we got a good buffer.

Huh, should be make a breeding den for pop or just let it happen? There is a lot to be done and little time to ready. I'm thinking the bandits might try something soon if they catch on to our loses, but the Red Army is helping for now.
>>
>>36440043
He has done more towards working with zombies than just having his pet, he DID make a zombie bait gun, I have been picking up on hints that he may be more interested in zombies than he is saying...

We should have the prez investigate his labs and living quarters.
>>
Rolled 82 (1d100)

>>36438458
I uhm...they weren't super zombies. In fact they were one of the largely lower caliber kinds who just had a decent plague strain for them.

>>36439065
Its a LESSER boon NOT a minor.

A minor boon/bonus is equivelent to roughly a +5 to a roll.

A lesser is double that at a +10 rough equivalent.

>>36439065
That they do.

>>36439254
That anon's plan would of actually have worked splendidly. Granted the other plans DID slow down the plague they however failed to outright stop it.

>>36439441
It wouldn't have been pretty even WITHOUT a crit fail. Zombie related shit is dangerous as fuck.

God fucking damit man. I love this so fucking much. We just had our shit kicked in and I thought we where dead. Then the red army can in and saved us from the zombies. But who will save us from the red army? Lust will save us! With our guys shell shocked, depressed, and suffering from PTSD. This is glorious!
>>
>>36441601
And the day will be known as "fucksgiving"
Celebrated every year, we tell the story of how the red army saved us, and we repaid them with blowjobs.
>>
>>36441704
Yes. Yes. Yes. A yearly fuck fest as tradition! I think this would improve moral
>>
>>36441572
With the added science, medical, and sex shouldn't the research, medical, and moral go up?

You sorta jacked their forces that they sent. Ah for division wise meant they dispatched a smaller division(see part) of their forces to help you out.

>>36441747
Red Army tech is rather far behind. Same with medical. While crude there is no doubting its effectiveness.

Though the ladies may not like their augs much. Unlike most other forces Reds figured out the usefulness of female military potential quickly and worked to exploit it. Basically Red Army actively maintains and encourages female recruitment/usage.

They however only do so strictly for certain areas. PS power armored Reds are likely to in fact be female as they actually have priority slot for power armor availability. Meanwhile many Red snipers and pilots are also female. The rest are either some kind of support(likely) or trooper(unlikely).

This isn't including their female membership with black/spec ops just general forces.

They Red Army forces you notice DO have access to power armor though most of it is meant for their 'support', but there ARE a few suits floating among their troopers.

meanwhile it will take time for moral to go up. Think about it your numbers just doubled from a bunch of immigrants.
