Over the course of the next half a hour, pretty much the entire crew of the Tianna fleet comes to offer you their congratulations.

Even if you might have planned to keep the good news a secret for now, Karas' outburst guaranteed that the news of your pregnancy spread like wildfire, whether you wanted it or not.

Finally overwhelmed by emotion, your brother fainted for a spell, and was dragged by Amata and Zaan back to his own room, leaving you, finally, a bit more time to rest, relax, and patiently soak in the news yourself.

Tia, who was immensely happy and proud the moment she heard the new, is now a lot more pensive and reserved. She seems to have been spooked by all the shouting and screaming and confusion that has been going, and is now... moody. She's sitting on the floor, next to your bed, silent, probably lost in her own thoughts and worries.

Sometimes her reactions do remind you of a small, barely-domesticated woodland animal.

Nevermind, I'm silly, didn't update the XP. you're at 4.

Anyway.

>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. She was in the western city of Tianna as a guest of queen Amata, an old friend. Abyssals are targeting the city for conquest, Lintha pirates have infiltrated it with spies and agents, and the Realm is probably planning to get rid of you.
But things are also looking up. You have gathered a lot of allies and friends, have a powerful Manse under construction, and are unifying Tianna in a great nation under your overwhelming charisma.
You just discovered the reason everyone seems to be so interested in Tianna: an enormous magical fortress lies buried underground, a relic of the First Age with enough firepower to destroy anything...

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Solar%20Quest

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability. Yes, this means that the more people are posting, the stronger Maka is, up to a limit of her attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible acquisitions.

"What's on your mind?" You break the silence.

"Mh." She mumbles, hugging her knees.

"Are you worried?" You ask her, leaning a bit closer, your hair brushing on her shoulder.

She shivers. "Yes."

"Don't mind all that screaming. We'll tackle this together, one step at a time. Karas is just overreacting." You pat her head, trying to calm her down and cheer her up.

"...I... I don't think..." She turns to you. You see tears streaking down her face.

It's so strange to see her cry. She's so strong that you'd almost think her to be entirely beyond tears.

"...I don't think... I should be allowed... to be... so happy."

"...why not?" You can only ask after a long, silent pause, broken only by her sighs and hiccups.

"I... I hurt you. I let you run around alone. I put you in danger. I..."

"I'm alright. I'll be alright, Tia. I'm sturdy. We'll be alright."

"I'm not going to leave you alone." She mumbles. "Ever again."

You lie back down on the bed.

Some more minutes of silence pass. You stare into the wooden ceiling, listening to the noise of the waves and the steps of the crewmen above and around you.

"...We'll be happy, Tia. I promise."

She sniffs and nods slowly.

"...Tia?"

"...Yes?"

"...Can you go and call Karas?"

She stands up and walks up to the door of your room, and opens it. You hear a crewman walking by, along the corridor, then his steps suddenly stop. From the bed, you can't clearly see what's happening.

"Um... yes?" you hear him ask, nervously.

Silence.

"...Lady Tia? Is everything alright? You're-"

"Bring Karas here."

"K-Karas?"

"Do it."

"Yessir I'll do it right away."

"..."

"...Um, M-miss Tia?"

"What?"

"Er, can you put me down? Or else I can't-"

"Oh." sound of boots touching the wooden plank floor. "Sorry."

"...Thank you." You hear him dashing away.

A few minutes layer, you hear another set of steps approaching. Tia, who has been sitting on the floor, stands up, alerted.

Karas enters the room. He looks more in control now, but he still has a slightly wild look on his face.

As soon as he shows up, Tia stands up between you and him. The two stare into each other's eyes.

"Behave." You warn both of them, and they both lower their eyes. Tia lets him approach.

"...I don't know what to say." Karas mumbles, kneeling down next to your bed and taking you hand in his. "This is all happening way too fast."

"It'll be alright." You reassure him.

He doesn't look too convinced. "Maka." He says, looking dead serious into your eyes. "We need to talk."

You sure do, you think.

"...You're going to marry here in Tianna."

You nod.

"...What about Gem? What's going to happen to our homeland? Are you going to just leave it under that usurper, Rankar?"

"I'm going to unify them in a single kingdom." you reply, confidently.

Tia nods energically.

"So... You plan on overthrowing Rankar?"

"Of course." you smile. "By the way, what do you know about the situation back home?"

"As far as I know, Rankar is just a mortal. He doesn't have much supernatural help, or at all. Heck, you could probably retake Gem on your own. Unless he's allied with the Realm, but even then, Gem is still a long way from everywhere else. No reinforcements for him."

"That's also the problem, is it." You reason. "It would take way months to get to Gem from here. And right now I can't leave Tianna that gingerly. Unlike Gem, there's plenty of supernatural trouble going on here. Trouble that needs the Exalted." You look at him. "...did you consider becoming King of Gem yourself?"

You see a look of utter horror and panic on your face. "Me?! I don- I don't know the first thing about rulership! I don't know... Like, taxes, or trade, or stuff like that! I don't even remember the names of the noble families of Gem! I'd just end up ruining everything."

But, you reason, if Rankar doesn't have supernatural help, Karas, with maybe a bit of extra assistance, could easily retake it. But you'd have to divert Exalted manpower from Tianna, to fight on two fronts...

> Karas, how about you bring Mikahil with you to Gem and together you retake it for me?

That is something you didn't consider.

"...are we just leaving them there? Now that we found each other, and we've been both Exalted with the power to do SOMETHING about it?" He urges you.

"...what do YOU intend to do?" You ask him.

"I'm rubbish at planning, you know." He shrugs. "Honestly, I have no idea. On one side, I want to say, well, Maka is fine, she has friends and allies, she can take care of herself. I'll go back to Gem alone. But on the other side, now that I found you, and you're in... In this condition? I don't want to go." He sounds terribly conflicted.

"...I'll send someone there. Someone good with covert work. If mom, dad and sis are there, they'll save them." You reassure him. "But at the same time we have to focus here. We..." You lower your head. "...we're Exalted. We have a responsibility towards all of Creation now, as well."

He nods. He doesn't like the idea any more than you do, but he seems to understand.

"...speaking of which, you still haven't told me why you're here in the West. What happened? How did you Exalt?" You ask him.

"...I put up a fight against Rankar before getting caught. He wanted to teach me a lesson, I guess. He sold me into slavery to a merchant, as a galley rower."

You listen intently.

"...and they were attacked by a pirate ship near the Coral Archipelago. I was part of the loot."

"What pirates?" You ask.

"The worst kind. Skullstone pirates."

You heard about Skullstone's naval might. A nation of shadows, where the dead and the living exist side by side. With vast military, economic and industrial power. Led by the wise and enigmatic Silver Prince.

Putting things in perspective, it's not hard for you now to guess that this Silver Prince must be another Deathlord.

"...you've seen Skullstone?"

"Wish I hadn't." He nods. "Don't believe the stories of an utopia beyond life and death. It's bullshit. It's a carnival of horrors there. I've seen people, humans, bought like slaves and used as construction materials. Harvested for flesh and bone. And... I might be dumb, but I can make basic math."

"...and?"

"And less than one-twentieth of the dead leave a ghost in their wake there. The numbers don't match up."

(Cont.)
>>
"...where do the missing ghosts go?"

He shrugs. "No idea. I'll make an educate guess, though: I don't think they pass into Lethe and reincarnate peacefully." He takes a long sigh. "I Exalted when my time for being harvested finally came. The Unconquered Sun spared my life, out of... so many dead. I... I'd like to think it was because I'm supposed to do something about it."

You shiver. Has it been always this cold? Tia is lying on the ground, staring up at Karas, immobile. Her face is still streaked with tears, but she is utterly expressionless now, apart for her red, veiled eyes.

"...that first bit of poetry you said." You recall. "The melancholy of the skies, mixed with wind and rain and dust..."

He laughs humorlessly. "I was marked for death. They didn't think of me as human. I learned a few secrets there, since they talked about them freely in front of me."

"A password for the Silver Prince's agents?"

He nods. "They're all over the place. I wanted to make sure you weren't on the Silver Prince's side."

"...even though I'm a Solar?"

"The captain of the pirate ship that boarded us was a Solar. A Dawn. Moray Darktide." He replies. "I don't know why, but he works for the Silver Prince of Skullstone."

You massage your forehead. You're about to get a headache, you know it.

"I promise. Come on, tell me."

"World domination."

You start laughing. Karas quickly joins you. Even the silent and moody Tia cracks a grin.

"You're pulling my leg."

"No, I'm honest. I think all Deathlords are messed up in the head like that or something."

"Yeah, probably."

"Seriously, now. He's building an army and a fleet. A BIG fleet. Of powerful ships with advanced magic and technology."

"...How powerful?"

"I'm no expert in naval warfare, even though I've been studying." He points out. "But I'd guess... If the ships I've seen under construction get completed, crewed and launched? It's not even going to be a fight worth betting on."

"Even against the Realm's Water Fleet?"

"Even if they combine the Realm's Water, Air, Wood, Fire and Home fleets. No bet."

You whistle. "That's impressive, in a way."

"The wrong way."

"Yes, of course, the wrong way, but it's still a way." You add.

"...We have a problem with a Deathlord in Tianna, too."

"Tyrant of the Doomsday Machine. I heard something."

"What do you know?"

"Not much." He admits. "The Silver Prince's fleet considers her an enemy force. There's no friendship between them. Other than that, she has a small but elite naval fleet, and seems to prefer aerial forces." He thinks about it. "The Silver Prince is more political. Economical. He's a leader and a religious, messianic figure. From what i gathered, the Tyrant seems more like... Engineering. Technical. Military. More pragmatic. More focused. They also don't seem to have interests in Creation other than Tianna."

"Sounds like that." You explain. "We have a truce with them. I'd like to think we can reason with them."

"That's what they would say."

"I know, but... what if it's the Silver Prince? Does he have agents in Tianna?"

He seems to take your suggestion seriously. "...I don't know for sure, but he might. I wouldn't be surprised. That could explain it, I imagine. But the big question is, why Tianna? It's a large island, but it's not densely inhabited, it's not rich in resources or magic, and it's not strategically positioned. You hesitate.

"...It's confusing." You admit. "To be honest, I have no idea what Tyrant's ultimate goal is. Or if the Silver Prince of Skullstone is in on it. But he probably is."

"Mh." He nods silently.

"But, for now, we have to focus on the Lintha. Let's worry about the Deathlords later."

He nods again, lost in thought.

"So how about you. Any girlfriends? Or boyfriends?"

He nods again. "Mh." Then, he shakes his head, confused. "Bluh? N- no, wait."

You grin and wait for an answer, silently pressuring him with your gaze.

"...I, uh. No. No one. I- I haven't had exactly... I've never been in one place a long time..." He mumbles, flustered.

"Come on, you can tell your big sis." You grin.

"No, really, I don't have anyone." He's sweating bullets.

"Not even someone you fancy?"

He stays silent. Tia exchanges a sly grin with you.

There probably isn't a god quite that specific. He'd be the god of failed contraceptives. His manager would probably be the god of unexpected pregnancy, in the Department of Reproduction, in the Bureau of Humanity.

As for a name? Just mash some Asian/African-sounding syllables together.

The Bureau of Humanity is a really major bureau, too, but Reproduction is a sub-department of Health. Health gets a majority of the bureau's prayers. I imagine the God of Failed Contraceptives mostly gets prayers to not do anything. He's a great example of a god who only ever dies his job occasionally in order to keep the prayers coming.

But yeah, it's not too hard to figure out where Celestial gods are employed, whereas Terrestrial gods are mostly self-employed entrepreneurs.

So, exalted people, our children won't be exalts. Will they be halfcastes? Is there a fullcaste? Tell me what we should expect from our progeny
>>
>>36409037
They will be extremely powerful godblooded, if only due to all the training charms we will use on them. They'll be a bit weaker than an inexperienced terestrial in their specialty, but will likley beat them in nonspecialist area's due to training charms.
>>
Rolled 7 (1d10)

>>36409037
If they're half castes - which is a term for a non-exalted mortal who inherited some Celestial essence from an exalted parent - they'll be Lunar half castes. The older, more powerful, more experienced exalt determines the type - Tia, in this case - with Solars trumping only in the case of ties. We aren't old or powerful enough to produce them at all yet, while Tia probably is.

In the default game, half-castes get a small essence pool, a very low maximum Essence score, and limited access to Exalted charms. In this quest's terms, they would probably have a stat cap of 4, the ability to purchase charms at double normal costs, an essence pool half that of an exalt, and mortal health rules.

Full-castes are just actual exalts.

Half-castes tend to be wildly unpopular, and I personally hope EF just gives them Enlightened Essence and maybe a slightly higher than mortal dice cap and leaves it at that.
>>
>>36409124
we've gone over this a hundred time. Half Castes are a thing in this particular version of the exalted setting, and
> In this quest's terms, they would probably have a stat cap of 4, the ability to purchase charms at double normal costs, an essence pool half that of an exalt, and mortal health rules.
This is wrong.
>>
>>36409124
>wildly unpopular
Other than being born to mary-sue, is there a reason for this? And what happens when a god and an exalt breed?
>>36409075
OK, thanks
>>
>>36409075

So, three kids.

One fighter boy taking after Tia, one social girl taking after Maka, one smarts girl/boy taking after Amata.

It's perfect.
>>
>>36409148
Well, all of them will have 3-4 in every stat due to training charm abuse, so they'll all be quite compitent at everything, with weak "charms" (I know we can't do that now, but by the time they are ten our circle will probably have most/all training charms)
>>
Rolled 9 (1d10)

>>36409145
Mostly it boils down to Half-castes infringing on what should be the Dragon-Blooded's place, people who's power comes from lineage and blood.

There's more to it than this simplification of course though
>>
>>36409145
>Other than being born to mary-sue, is there a reason for this? And what happens when a god and an exalt breed?
The mechanical implementation of Half Castes was lazy, terrible and gamebreaking when used as written.
>>36409171
And yet no one has any trouble with ghost, god, fae or demon blooded, which do the exact same thing. Also, children of half castes are normal humans, so it really, really doesn't.
>>
>>36409171
Do lunars raise gigantic barbarian hick inbred tribes of them?

>>
>>36409217
>What about genetic changes? Would our great-great granddaughters have a chance of getting incredible boobs, or only the great boobs we had before exalting?
Probably not, any children of our children will be normal humans unless they have sex with something nonhuman. Which they probably will, now that I think about it.

Probably download for the setting.

"Tell me, tell me, tell me!"

"Alright, shut up!" Karas almost flips your bed over in frustration. He grumbles.

"Are you mad at me?" You ask with a grin.

"A bit." He combs his messy hair back. "You've... You've always had everyone fawning over you. Paying attention only to you. And now you Exalt and this gets multiplied a hundredfold."

You nod. "You were more lonely, I imagine." Both in Gem and later, it seems.

"And I show up and then you've raised a literal army of hot guys and cute girls at your beck and call. Is it normal for me to be envious?"

"Maka is Maka." Tia remarks, offering her point of view on the situation.

"So, who is it?"

"...I don't- I want to think about it. I'm not sure." He hesitates. "But maybe, if I stick with a chick magnet like you, I'll manage to find someone myself?" He grins.

"As you don't steal ours." Tia warns him.

"Ours? Aren't you full of yourself, you-"

Karas and Tia begin to struggle, pulling on each other's cheeks.

You spend the next few hours with Tia and Karas, in idle chatter.
You talk about boys and girls (Tia being very repetitive about it), hair and clothes, you reminisce about old events, tell Karas all the story of your adventure since your Exaltation, anecdotes from your childhood, things like that.

You needed that. You all did. That family feeling. This peace.

Makes you almost forget you're going at war.

[HEALED 1 HEALTH]

You get a restful night's sleep, and, when you wake up, you feel your body being warm, like you're running a light fever.
Your skin itches, but you realize it's the feeling of it regrowing back. You're returning to your normal, uniform color. It'll still be a while until you make a complete recovery, though: you feel your bones still hurting with every movement.

Tia has fallen asleep in bed with you, nuzzled up to you like a koala to a tree. It's amazing you've managed to fall asleep. You must've really needed it.
Her body temperature is absurdly high, and she's radiating heat like a stove. You begin to worry, but you notice her instantly cooling down as, sensing that you're now awake, she wakes up as well, stirring and yawning.

...was she keeping you warm?

Karas is nowhere to be seen. As a matter of fact, the ship seems quite a bit more silent now than yesterday, like most of the crew left during the night.

"Maka." Tia simply says, her own good morning to you.

Is it even morning? You focus your sixth sense for a second... About noon, it seems. You should have arrived at the Black Atoll by now.

Something is wrong.

"...they left us behind." You tell her. Looks like they moved out and attacked the Lintha fortress without telling you anything.

>we must join them. They're not keeping me out of this.
>damnit, they've really tricked me. I can't blame them, though, I do need some rest.

"...Damnit. I've been had."

Tia nods. She's not letting you go, by the way, despite you both being perfectly awake.

You try and stand up.

Tia is keeping you pinned to the bed.

You struggle a bit.

"...Tia?"

"They are right. You need to rest."

You narrow your eyes. "Was this your idea?"

She shakes her head. "Amata."

"But you agreed."

Of course she agreed. "Leave it to them. Stay here."

You struggle another bit. "I can stay on the sidelines. Out of the fight."

"A stray arrow could hit you."

You sigh, exasperated. "...Tia, arrows bounce off me."

She doesn't let you go.

"...How about you go, then? You're not wounded, and you're arguably the best fighter of our entire force. I'm sure you're needed on the battlefield."

"I'm not leaving you."

"Then bring me with you."

"No." She replies, adamant. "Besides, once I leave, there'll be no one to keep an eye on you."

"I'm not going to sprout wings and fly to the battlefield on my own." You try and talk some sense into her. "Please. I'm just worried about the others. Go there and help them."

She doesn't answer, but you know the look that's in her eyes: She doesn't CARE about the others. She's going to stay here and protect you even if it means letting everyone else die. Amata, Karas, Mikahil, Valeriana, Samiel, Irene, everyone.

"Tia. Go help the others."

"No."

You groan and sink deeper in the bed.

"...Tia, they might lose the fight without your help."

"I'm sorry."

You talk slowly, like you're explaining some particularly complex math problem to a particularly thick-headed child. "...I want them to win. I need them to win. We need the resources. We need to be able to sail freely. Or we will never have a Pearl. We will never develop Tianna."

"That's important." She admits. "But you're more important. And our children are, as well. I'm not risking all three of you."

"But if they get wiped out, what's going to happen to us? We're on a boat with a skeleton crew in the middle of Lintha waters. They'll find us. It's more dangerous for me if you DON'T go to the battle."

"If the Lintha get here, I'll kill them." She shrugs like it's no big thing.

"All of them?"

"All of them." She nods. "I will protect you."

Her answers are all instantaneous. Automatic. Absolutely no hesitation. She doesn't even think about them.

You try another approach. "...I don't want to lose them. I don't want anyone to get hurt. They might die, Tia."

"I'm sorry."

"No, you aren't! You don't care if they get killed! Even though you could save them!"

"Whose fault will it be?"

"...I promise."

Tia nods, apparently satisfied, and leaves the room, with a final hesitation on the door, looking back at you.

She disappears beyond the corner.

Then she turns back. She stares at you for a few seconds.

"...well?" You ask her, puzzled.

"Nothing." She replies. Stares for a few seconds more, then turns and leaves.

Ten seconds later, she returns, walking back to your room.

"Goodbye kiss." She proclaims.

"...Alright." Fair enough. You indulge her. "Be safe."

"You too." She says, leaving.

A minute passes.

"...Tia, I didn't hear your footsteps up the stairway. You're still hidden in the corridor?"

"...no."

"Tia. I can see a corner of the hem of your dress from here."

Shuffle shuffle.

"Tia."

"She stands up and walks back to your room.

"Goodbye kiss-"

"TIA!"

She kisses you a second time and runs away. This time you do hear her running all the way up to the upper deck and-

CRASH!

A hideous noise of shattering, tortured wood shakes the ship, together with the startled and horrified cries of the few sailors left onboard.

Then, the loud thud and floorboard creak chorus of something extremely large and heavy being delicately put down on the deck.

A few seconds later, a crewman, deathly pale, shows up on your door.

"...Lady Maka, we- er- we might..."

You massage your forehead. That damn headache is back. "She tore off the mainmast?"

"She tore off the mainmast." He nods, still sweating.

I want you to get every member of the crew that knows how to write. And I want them to talk to all the members who can't, and write down their experiences of the last few days. I want to read a stack of papers by nightfall that tell me exactly how you all feel, and what we'll be telling the people back home when we get there.

"...How's the ship?"

Man. That girl.

You blink. "AMATA?!"

"What?" She asks, surprised by your surprise.

"You're not with the others?"

"Better than the last one." She concedes. "The Lintha have apparently two powerful demon-summoners and are led by another Pureblood. But, without a demon ship as a battlefield, they don't have that same kind of home advantage. Last I heard they were steadily losing ground. As soon as Tia arrives, it's going to be a complete defeat for them."

"...We're completely out of the action here, right?" You ask.

She nods. "I'm not as insanely overprotective as Tia is, but I DO thing that you should be sitting this one out. For another reason."

"...The Abyssals." You mumble.

"The truce is up to the defeat of the Lintha at the Black Atoll. They might attack immediately afterwards, when most of our forces will be wounded and tired. It will do us good to have kept you in reserve, if that happens."

That's a worrying thought. "...Do you think they'll do that."

"No. I don't think so. But I might be wrong. Or..."

Mental + Eclipse = 5 10 3 1 7 = 3 successes

"Or the OTHER Deathlord might act up, and try and pass his actions as the Tyrant's." You conclude her sentence.

She seems delighted by your guess. "It's what I'd do. Act just when we'd expect Tyrant to act, to confuse all of us."

You think about it, spending the next few seconds in silence. The thought is worrying.

You sit up on the bed, close your eyes. and focus your thoughts. There's only one thing you can do right now.

"...Are you praying?" She guesses.

You nod silently.

"I thought it had to be done with dancing and singing." She notes.

I made a vow to my loved one to stay safe, but it kills me to let others go into harms way and brave death when I have the capacity to help.

How do I cope between an earnest promise to stay back and my desire to help?

Hmm. That's really tempting to ask, though I feel his answer would be something like BLOOD DOESN'T MATTER TO ME, ONLY ACTIONS. YOU HAVE BOTH DEMONSTRATED THE WILL TO DO WHAT IS NEEDED.

How about we quiz him on how he wants his cult set up? Any particular types of prayers he favors, old rites he would prefer to be revived, secondary gods worthy of worship, so on and so forth. We don't know much of that, and it seems like one of the things that asking him directly about would be a good idea. I mean, its ultimately his cult after all.
>>
>>36412785
Yeah, and i bet that one
>>36412752
would be 'MAKE A CHOICE.'
>>

He just said: a brick laid, etc. He doesn't how it's setup, as long as it's honest and virtuous.

That's just one of the things. We have no idea about most of the other stuff, especially things like other gods worthy of worship.
>>

I think he's already told Maka what he wants from a cult: Be virtuous and help others be virtuous. Anything beyond that is just window dressing.
>>
>>36412819
Guilty of wasting his time. Sol cares very little about form.

Presumably we could etch our prayers on palm leaves then burn them and still have them accepted as valid prayers.

This is weighing on our soul pretty heavily. Seconding this.

OR since Senpai noticed us, we could stop beating around the bush and just ask him if he's proud of how we've been trying to follow his guidance so far.

What do you expect me to do now?

NOTHING. YOU'RE WOUNDED, REMEMBER? YOU NEARLY DIED. YOUR CIRCLEMATES ARE RIGHT. SOMETIMES, IT'S ALRIGHT TO REST.

...I feel guilty, to stay here in a comfy bed while they fight.

GOOD. YOU SHOULD.

Geez, no one can catch a break with you around.

I COULD GO AND CALL OVER THE GOD OF WIMPS, IF YOU'D RATHER PREFER HAVING HIM AS YOUR PATRON DEITY.

...I'll pass, thanks.

So...

About your worship. I was wondering how you'd like it to be organized. I'm... I'm your priest, but I don't actually know much about your religion.

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW, DON'T YOU?

What about the rest.

MAKE SOMETHING UP.

Like what?

SOMETHING RIGHT. AND SOMETHING COOL.

Are... are there other gods that you'd like your worship to include?

A FEW. SOMEDAY YOU'LL MEET THEM, DON'T WORRY.

...What about once I get back to Tianna? If everything works fine now, then what should I do?

BE A GOOD QUEEN. RULE WITH KINDNESS. RULE WITH HUMILITY. RULE WITH WISDOM. RULE WITH COURAGE. BUILD. TEACH. PROTECT.

>...Another thing. (What?)
>Thank you for your guidance.
>>
>>36412752
Congratulations, you asked the UCS something he probably can't answer, given he suffers from the exact same problem.

"How do I choose between my earnest promise (the pillars of conviction and temperance) and my desire to help (the pillars of compassion and valor)? He doesn't know how, poor guy

...What should I do with the Titan, besides that?

THAT IS... AN INTERESTING QUESTION. IF YOU ASKED ME AT ANY OTHER TIME, FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE SECOND AGE UP TO A SHORT WHILE AGO, I WOULD HAVE SUGGESTED YOU TO DESTROY IT. THAT KIND OF POWER SHOULDN'T BE TRUSTED TO ANYONE.

Short while?

THE LAST FEW YEARS. THE LAST FEW MONTHS.

...Since I Exalted?

NOT EXCLUSIVELY AND SPECIFICALLY YOU, BUT YES, ALSO THAT.

Did you change your mind?

MAYBE. I'M STILL NOT SURE. BUT I WANT TO BELIEVE AGAIN IN YOU SOLARS. I WANT TO GIVE YOU A SECOND CHANCE. I WANT TO HAVE FAITH IN YOU.

It's so strange to hear that coming from a deity.

THE IRONY IS NOT LOST ON ME EITHER.

So what should I do?

YOU GET TO DECIDE. THE TITANS WERE BUILT BY SOLARS.

THEY WERE THE ULTIMATE TOOL TO PROTECT THE UNIVERSE. THEY HAVE POWER WITH FEW RIVALS IN CREATION OR BEYOND.

NOW, ONE OF THEM IS IN YOUR HANDS.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR DECISION WILL RANGE FAR AND WIDE, BEYOND EVEN THE SCOPE OF THE COUNTLESS LIVES THE TITAN CAN SAVE OR DOOM.

BECAUSE I HAVE LONG THOUGHT THAT TRUSTING THE SOLARS WITH THE FATE OF CREATION WAS MY WORSE MISTAKE.

BUT, I MIGHT YET CHANGE MY MIND. AND YOU MIGHT BE THE ONE.

WHATEVER YOU DECIDE...

...I WILL NOTICE.

You are startled awake by a sudden sway of the ship.

It's evening. Amata has fallen asleep on the chair next to your bed, nodding her head.

You completely lost your sense of time for a while.

It's ALREADY evening.

They should be back soon.

[Session end]

With the actual Exalted rules, sure.
Here in this quest, different story.
>>
>>36413456
>>36413457
Let me see here:
5 (Zenith) + 5 (Social) + 3 (Majistic radiating Presence) + 1 Auto success (Terifying Glorious Presence) + 1 (stack-able artifact) = 14 dice + 1 autosuccess
That's about the max for a social roll.
