Ok I'm making this thread so we can talk about what the fuck happened in the last one, because dam that was a thing of wonder.
We should also plan what to do next carefully. We're in a bit of a tight spot and a single bad crit can fuck us. We should plan accordingly. So what should we do next

Last thread was a ride. The very first reply was a nat 1 for zombie research, followed by a failed madness plan involving zombie shit bait. A dozen of failed attempts to rid ourselves of the zombies/infected. Until the red army was called in to save our shit. They did but looked like they would be just as much of a problem to what little of our people where left.
Then it happened.
The greatest crit I have seen in a long time. We managed to convert the red army guys there to our side through the use of sex. Gaining us an extra 250 military. 600 pop. 1 more hero. And our hope for the future. Amazing isn't it

Capita: the cumview
>>
>>36453680
Well it looks like our moral is at a critical low. But also is the state of our bace. With the help of our new citizens we should be able to fix some of it. We should also have a serious debriefing with all of our guys that where once red army for info on there tactics, semantics, and training. There is a lot to do and a lot to plan.
>>
>>36453622
Ok, I'm new. How often are threads made mostly for discussion? I thing Genie did say that we should do this or something like this last thread

>>
>>36454599
possible yeah.
>>
>>36453622
Huh, there was one made >>36449423, O well.

As for what to do next, we will probably need to get our based looked over and repair what we can. I believe the President's Lowdown and Investigate abilities will help with finding the damaged.

Then we will need to see about getting the two types of people (Red Army and us) to fit right. Defiantly set up the new rules and culture for the kids.
>>
This is how I will always remember/picture the events of last thread:

>Some geniuses decide to research Murphey's zombie
>Some chucklefuck gets the wrong zombie and starts a plague
>With judicious use of zombiebait shitcannon and hellhounds, zombies are put down
>but in true zombie fashion, they keep getting back up
>We can't contain the plague, have to ask the Reds for help
>The reds arrive in force and rescue our asses
>Make our crack hellhounds look like a pack of corgies
>They take off their power armor, we've just been saved by a bunch of red faction amazons
>hold a feast in their honor
>It's poorly received
>Some guy stands up to give a speech
>"Well, we're the survivors. And although many friends have fallen, we, unlike the zombies, are alive and able to give a fuck. So I propose we thank our rescuers properly, by giving them as many fucks as they want!"
>Everyone's just about ready to blame the plague on him
>Except the red amazons, they're all "did you really think we came all this way for a shit cannon?"
>Snuo-snoo.jpg, Happyfucksgiving.jpg
>Red soldiers don't want to leave because of our insane sexytime powers,
>red HQ decides it's better to make a permanent outpost here rather than have their troops constantly sneaking through zombie-infested tunnels for nookie
>After the reds establish themselves in our bunker complex, it's revealed the guy who suggested Fucksgiving actually was responsible for the plague
>Reds won't let us lynch him because the sex is too good
>TFW we probably have a hero with bullshit sexytime powers and a bunch of amazon allies who won't give him up.
>>
>>36455150
I will not lie that's funny to think about.

Also for next time, next forget we can sac a hero to stop a botch roll.
>>
>>36454908
I would vote we keep the two cultures separate - the reds can run things their way under Lexa, We can run things our way under Mr. President, and they can come to a consensus if both groups are needed for something. In practice, we only have one action for both factions, but we already run this civilization by committee, no reason our heros can't do the same
>>
>>36455261
I like to do that it's just the more we are different as people the more problems that could come up later. The Domestic Representative stated "The populace is worried with sudden changes but considering how they didn't exactly live up to the old way either they seemed to be capable of acceptance. He suggests 'adjusting' with the previous 'learning materials' for future generation indoctrination." I was hoping to follow on what the committee said.

>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)

>>36456426
Ok, we've got no resource points and low morale. I suggest we hold team-building exercises between BW and RA groups. Teams compete to bring in the most resources. Teams have to include RA and BW personnel. various awards are to be given, with the biggest prize going to the team voted 'most helpful' by all the other teams in the running. Meanwhile, the Prez gets the lowdown on where the greatest hidden leadership talent is coming into play.

Sounds more like something a corp would do, but it might work for government remnants too...

>>
>>36459987
Ya, I guess discussing what to do next all depends on when Genie posts next. From the looks of this he's asleep.
>>
>>36459921
We need to put the red to work, specifically the 100 researchers we got. I would think we are on the cusp of unlocking a "science" action if we get a bit more of a proper lab space set up.

Otherwise I think we need to repair as much as we can and bring the base as close to online as we can it.

Next we figure out how to acquire resources or materials for further projects.

We can always make more biofuel and gift it to the reds, with a note pleading for resources.
>>
>>36460026
Well we can think about if we want to do the bee plan or change to bears if we find any.

Then there's the civil area that needs work. Maybe we can set up some days off once more kids are born and change the schooling a bit to help make sure we get along.
>>
>>36460092
Rather than focus on bees, let's figure out what is available. We were told by the reds that there are no bees around the area... They may be wrong, but i would like to know more about our local wildlife. Surely we will find something useful under a rock in the woods if we roll high enough.
>>
>>36460145
What are you talking about we found mutant bees before we burned the forest?
>>
>>36460145
There are bees. We found them a cupple threads back. They where giant super bees the size of a fist. We should have the locations of there hives on a map somewhere
>>
>>36460057
Why would the reds need biofule? There the ones that gave us the refiner in the first place.
>>
>>36460173
We did, and got a queen huh...
Why didn't we research that?

All we have to do is spend some turns on that
>>
>>36460196
They are our ONLY trading partner.. And they don't trade.. They just give us everything we want.

On second thought we shouldn't poke them again..
>>
>>36460234
>>36460211

We don't have a queen, just the location of there hives.

We need some trading partners, I'm thinking that mega prison might be a nice place to start.

We should probably explore the train lines. I'm assuming the red army guys came here on a train, not that they joined us that train should be ours. We can explore and find stuff
>>
>>36460267
I was thinking about hitting the tunnels again. The problem is the dam zombies, again. If we are to get though the tunnels we will need to clear them out and deal with the plague that comes with.
>>
>>36460296
Luckily the red army guys we have seem to be very good at clearing out zombies.
>>
>>36460317
True, but it's best to be careful so problems don't happen again.

I hate the research on zombies is a pain. We would probably need to refit the labs big time and train a better team to research with. Basically stack a bunch of things to keep us safe.

Well good thing we have Murphy and Jackillen to keep the madness in check.
>>
>>36460317
Which brings me to another point.

Murphy is likely a zombie doc, the researchers the reds sent are likely specialized in zombies, if we add in the anti madness chick as the "team supervisor" we could have a very effective zom-lab.
>>
>>36460421
>>36460393
So we should have an off sight, sealed, research lab made for this kind of stuff
>>
Rolled 72 (1d100)

>>36456717
Team building excercise between our forces is a go...and an astounding success at that.

Our forces noted their alarming efficiency and sleek skills while staying on the move in great silence.

In fact OURS would of lagged behind if it wasn't for their knowledge of the terrain and resource concentrations. Which only barely allowed them to keep up.

In that regard the teams who did the best were unsurprisignly those led by heroes.

HOWEVER there were couple others who also did good who didn't have heroic backing. One of whom even took first place.

PRESIDENT has identified several officers sadly these were mostly among the Red Army who had heavy experience unsurprisingly they had the rank to show for it, but DID find a few Blackwooders who had some talent.

Has identified

HEROIC UNIT DETECTED.

Identifying...investigation partially complete.

Heavy Elite Rainer, Red Storm Trooper, Bloody Bastard, Amazing Assaulter, and Red Rebel. AKA Kriez Tezar.

Traits
Supreme Sniper
Awesome Assaulter
(Heroic)Detailed Devil
Super Shooter

Abilities
(heroic)Super Shot, Second Supreme Shot:

(heroic)Red Rain:

Passives(all non heroic)

Bloody Breached

Blood Begets Blood

Equipment

Red Queen Power Armor, Flack Cannon, Raving Rail Rifle, Red Rebel Rocketeer, Bloody Blaster Bombs and Cadre Command uniform. Assorted Medals and a Magnificent Medallion.

>>36460317
Yeah but they were completely ruthless about it.
>>
>>36460450
Yeah if we do this we will have to go all out. Improve the labs, reinforce seals, vents different from the base, Kill zones, anti-bio rooms for entering and exit to clean the suits. Also improved schooling for the teams and I think that will cover most of it. My guess for cost will be 20+ resources and research into improving manufacturing of goods.

Luckily though they felt better when it came tame to show them the animals in particular the nasty new breed that is the Hell Hounds.

It made them feel better with how they reacted.

Female Red Army troops though seemed to have been off doing their own thing separately.

Seeing as we already have enuf armaments and the supply's the red woods (that's what I'm calling the red army guys that joined us) have we should be ready to start clearing out the other bunkers soon.

Action: have scouts map out the exact location of any and all bunkers, ruins, caves, and any others man made or natural location that zombies, monsters, bandits could be hiding in.

Have president investigate our records for info on the other bunkers and surrounding buildings

Scouts dispatched who have uncovered a few ruins, lost facilities, bunkers, caves, and nests.

First of all there are a LOT of nests crawling with monsters.

Located a few zombie hives.

Ruins and structures were scattered off and on. At least that are still somewhat intact kinda.

President states that the records while existent he would need more details as much of the choas during the fall caused all manner of bullshit. For instance our 'bunker' SHOULD be something like 100 cliques north north east. During the fall it somehow was 'misplaced'.

Ok. More training! I want every one to be just as good if not better than the best we have. Have our guys and the red woods train and run drills. They need to work as one. We need them all to be at black ops level skill. There is a lot of monsters to kill and we need to be at our best to defeat them.

Have prez investigate the training, keeping an eye out of anyone or any group of interest.

Idea. What if we have popo infiltrate the bandit citadel. We could find out a lot more about the surrounding area. And might be able to convince them that the location of some of the monster nest that a far from us are actually supply catches. They would go and ether get killed or take out monster nests.
>>
>>36476797
I do like that idea.

I was hoping to keep the monsters since they probably can deal with the zombies better. Then there's also swaying them to help us deal with the zombies.

Hell of I remember correctly, we have a pops infiltrate. Then the Red Army hero can blend out troops into the bandits civilians and we can take them out from within.
>>
>>36477067
Popo also has abilities of that nature. With some proper planing/scouting we could fully take over factions from within.

Example; reverse recruiting drive. Get one of our heroes in a position where they can acquire new recruits.. Once they realize the people we they been recruiting are a part of another larger faction, it will be too late.
>>
>>36477067
Oh ya. With both abilities we could infiltrate them. Convince them to take out a few zombie hordes, monster nests, anything else. Then after they are weakened from that fighting take them out (perhaps recruit some of them) finally loot the ever loveing fuck of of there bace. When should we start working on this?
>>
>>36477361
We don't even need to do that part. If we use captan redwood (I forgot his name, he's the red army hero we got) he and a bunch of troops can infiltrate there populous. Once there they sow the seeds of dissent and this being bandits means terming them to like civilization again. As they do this and with the aid of info gathered from popo they can start fucking shit up in just the right way to weaken them to the point of easily defeating/absorbing them.

I think after 2 turns of training for it under the new command structure.

O god I just rechecked her stats, we could cause a rebellion if we do this right.

Lexi Lurta: Red Revolutionary

Traits
Rebel
Wary Warrior

Abilities
>REVOLUTION: When engaged ALL disorder/morale/unhappy is instantly converted into hostile rebels.

>Guerrilla Striker: When activated attached forces are temporarily converted into guerrilla fighters for a single action.

Passives
Melt: Able to vanish into civilian populace or nearby area easily. This includes followers and this stacks for leader. In other words you can melt into your own forces as well.

Then main thing will be on pops to get inside the bandits. Last time didn't work because they were small, but if we train right and leak people in bit by bit. Then we harass them right to break moral. Like poisoning the water, taking shoots with Kriez Tezar: The Amazing Assaulter and other snipers.

I wonder if Blackjack is willing to help hack their equipment.

.... dam I really want a mastermind.
>>
>>36477504
It hit me like a ton of bricks, we have the ultamate team of hero assassins. Popo, Lexi (new girl), and mr. Tezar the sniper... The three of them would be the best black ops team ever, they just need a van and a "tech" guy...
>>
What if we bate zombies to attack monsters? Can the monsters become zombies? Can we recreate the zombie bate? We don't really need to personally destroy hostiles. We just need to get them to destroy each other

Idea about our civ's religion. With our religion being the local pantheon the biggest problem is that they are weak. I think I know how to fix that. Every one and I do mean everyone is assigned a god, chosen considering there personality and there job.

Then we establish that the best way to worship there god is to do there vast at there job.
For example. A lumberjack would worship the god of the trees. He would parse that god for there gift of the trees. And in doing his best to make to most out of that gift he is honoring and worshiping that god.

This would not only have the benefit of adding a religious motivation to be productive. But would dramatically increase the power of the pantheon. Just think about it. Instead of getting a 1 or 2 hours of worship a week these gods would be getting a good 8 to 10 hours of it a day!

What do you guys think?

>>

Nope, just one mad man and his 'friend'. I do like the idea for researching the zombies. It will just take a lot of work to get started and equipment that we are lacking.

For now let's focus on killing zombies and hijacking bandits. Then when we get two actions a turn then and only then should we start researching zombies past the killing tech point. Unless we get dam lucky at some point, but until that we should get this government up and running like a government. We got allies to be made and tunnels to clear out.

Pop growth, area control, or technological advancement (bulldozers, construction equipment, fuel, etc.)

Each alone can technically also increase turns, but I suppose it's easier to get a mix. In days of old, brute population expansion was enough, and still can be.

On the topic of more turns, going from the bloodsnow campaign, we'll need absolute control over our homeground. This is a large area, about the size of a medium town, as opposed to our base which is like a large building complex and usually reveals several other prominent factions like us. This can take entire threads, but will be much worth it in the end. The bloodsnows took some time, but eventually they managed to dominate the zombies (without killing them due to certain magics they had), ally the Fozr frost mutants, and the Ghouls in their homeground, thereby securing all three major factions in their greater base.

See one of those two slightly bigger dots on the bottom left of the orange walled compound? That would be our base.

Should we manage to control our homeground, then in the same Bloodsnow campaign or the Memor campaign we can start making ventures out into the greater Terrain map to meet yet even more factions and their homegrounds and bases.

Point of reference here is the Mysterious Island, the Bloodsnows winter Terrain.

The base above is the little square greyish region in the south of the island. The whole island was significantly smaller than the Memor campaign, but is an idea of what Terrain is like.

We only really managed to venture into the ghoulish nuketown in the yellowish region to the west and a little bit of the forests north of our base before we were called to join a grand war known as the Krulsade in which many heroes died. . .but the Bloodsnows survived and lived on controlling their base and the zombies as true Zed Bandits.

Ah you put it so complicated like...

Attempts are made to...offset the morale loss with combining two such groups, but there is little luck.

One is of the Reds and the other is Blackwood. Both are equal in the same bunker and space. It has gone so that the two forces seemed to have segregated themselves in different quarters of the bunker.

As is there IS a chain of command...but the Reds work on a different format.

They simply put have 'two' separate chains. One deemed the 'combat' and the other is 'support'. The unifying force between them seem to be the ones called logistics division who hate their lives.

Apparently it sucks ass being in logistics kinda like being in customer service rep of a megacorp remnant heheh.

I thought Umbra were a face for other mega crops any ways.

Now which civ to try make a flag for first? Vault 101 could have a nice or a easy one could be the lighting mutants.

>How many hell hounds do we have?
I'm thinking, if we can, make a few more. Then we train for the zombie bunkers and bandits again.

Don't forget slugging head to head with some of the biggest names during the Gearhead civ.

Controlling the worlds Zombie population, as well as the god that forms from their hunger, is nothing to be scoffed at either.
>>
>>36514007
Could we make our own god?
>>
>>36514034
Good luck with that.

Only two civs so far have done that, most famously the Cult of the Jungle Gods through mass sacrifice, and to a lesser extend the Bloodsnow bandits.
>>
>>36514061
Oh yeah, also Blood for the Jungle Gods
Got to remember to give reverence to the deities who truly blessed our civ more than any else.

Really Jungle Cult is our only actual victory civ. . .apart from Hax, but that was a phyrric victory where they turned to shit in the epilogue.
>>
>>36514089
Bloodsnows have the title of "surviving in relative success" which is also good, all the zombies they can dominate.

V101 might have been disbanded and nearly exterminated, but our survivors became happy scientists serving Umbra so I consider that a reasonably nice end.

Everyone else died in varying degrees between "Glory" and "no tears where shed for such ignominity"

We created the Avatar(s) of our god.
His mouth, a great pit of teethed plants
His stomach, the sacrificial pit of various acids and digestive juices
His muscles and sinews the vines and roots that spread and covered the city
Bones hard as the hardest tree bark, a heart that beats the blood of sacrifices.

Maybe he already existed before, but we created his avatar on this world, and that's pretty damn good for me.

It was all secretly the plan of the President to show just how terrible a new, non-republican form of government is and for the people to see it for what their "new path" would lead to. Death and ruin.
