Welcome to the XLIV installment of "Disney Villains Victorious."

Disney Villains Victorious is a new /tg/ homebrew project based on the idea of a world, not entirely unlike our own, in which all the villains from all the Disney animated feature films were not defeated at the ends of their movies but were instead victorious, completing their goals in part or in whole.

It is a world in which Ursula rules the seas, defied only by the uncatchable Pirate Lords, the cutthroat merchants of the East India Trading Company and the might of Atlantis and its magitech-toting mercenaries. It is a world where the grasslands and jungles and forests are prowled not only by fearsome primal beasts like Shere Kahn and Scar but also by the ruthless, tireless hunters that stalk them. It is a world where Europe has been divvied up between evil sorcerous monarchs like Maleficent, the Horned King, Grimhilde and Jafar, mad, inquisitorial clergymen like Frollo, and Dark Gods like Hades and Chernobog.

It is not, however, a world completely devoid of courage, heroism or hope. Around the world, the PCs' characters and their allies plot and plan, fight and strive and win their own victories against the villains that would rule them. The time to fight and to be free is now.

Sixth(!) playtest. http://pastebin.com/8wUw2Leg
I'm gearing up for a test campaign and am looking for dedicated players, but I'll post the actual join link later -- the campaign should be roughly ~20 sessions in length, and thus will last about 2/5 of the year with one session a week, possibly two depending on how we swing it.

WHAT THIS MEANS: only one more playtest till we have an actual campaign ready and that lets us test the tougher things that aren't just gameplay.

I'm willing to join, depending on scheduling

Hey speaking of the Queen of Hearts, did we ever figure out a way for PC's to go to Wonderland?
>>
>>36455693
Two methods.
1. They'll have to run into the Cheshire Cat, though he'll only show up if he feels like it
2. Convince Alice to return to Wonderland to face her fears, she knows where the rabbit hole is.

The Coachman still runs Pleasure Island, not a whole bunch has been discussed with Honest John/Gideon, Stromboli or Monstro though. Rumors about the Blue Fairy and Jiminy Cricket, but that's about it.
>>
Isn't this just Once Upon A Time but as a tabletop game?
>>
>>36459707
The idea of Dr Facilier scheming his way into the Coachmen's inner circle and using magic and the curse of Pleasure Island to start making and selling shadow monster things, and Honest John/Giddeon being agents, was pretty neat.

Stromboli could use 'prettied' up monsters to put on performances as a front, but actually go around the world to showcase and sell the monsters to Villians looking for some maigcal bite.

>>36459749
Isn't Once Upon A Time just live-action House of Mouse?

what with the fluff for chernobog creating this world by casting down the Nine Fathers, I could only draw comparisons to this:

“Gathered friends—listen again to our legend of the Bionicle. In the time before time, the Great Spirit descended from the heavens, gathering we—the ones called the Matoran—to this paradise. We were separate and without purpose. So the Great Spirit illuminated us with the three virtues: unity, duty, and destiny. We embraced these gifts—and in gratitude, we named our island home Mata Nui: after the Great Spirit himself."
“But our happiness was not to last. Mata Nui’s brother, the Makuta, was jealous of these honors and betrayed him—casting a spell over Mata Nui, who soon fell into a deep slumber. The Makuta was free to unleash his shadows. And unleash them he did.”

Heya. I was bored, so I figured I'd give a shot to creating a character using the information available on the Character Creation section of the wiki. Dump one point of Travel into Prevent Harm, which is used to defend against ~99% of physical attacks.

>Trait
Change the bonus to Prevent Harm.

>Powers
Unless protector is a Strong Guy power you need to pick one from the Strong Guy class list on 1d4chan.

You need another 2 ideals, which are the main way you'd gain Lessons (XP).

Goals: Don't worry about these too much, they should evolve during play.

>rundown
Basically what your character is who they are and what they're good for. You've got a pretty good flying (since you're part eagle) Combat Monster character with fantastic Brawl.
>>
>>36460979
>Big Guy
FOR YOU
/tv/ aside, you're goals are fine, you don't need 6 for a Hero. Well you could stand to move confronting Yzma to a Heroic goal, since most Kings are meant to be faced during early Hero levels.
Powers are fine.
But you need I think 1, maybe 2, more traits meng.
Also you need at least one point in Prevent Harm, which is pretty much your main defense against physical stuff. Endure is for mental attacks and status effects.
Attributes look good.
Also I'm pretty sure rundown is just a character's history/background.
>>
>>36461078
We should really work on those class powers lists. So far there's only three each. Maybe we could slap a "[class] ONLY" label on some of the most specific generic powers?
>>
>>36461129
his traits are fine
2 trait slots are taken up by the chimeric traits.
>>
>>36460979
Also remember that as a Strong Guy you start with 4 Strikes instead of three and gain a free point in both Athletics and Prevent Harm.

>>
>>36459707

He could be the island's defense. Anyone tries to get in or out without the Coachman's permission, they get eaten.
>>
>>36461267
looks good to me. yzmic chimeras are a bit more common than you've suggested in your backstory (they're everywhere, at least in Yzmaopolis) but it's fine. concept-wise; he's a perfectly good combat focused character who is a bit straightforward but can also fly. you'll want to pick up a wider range of skills later in your career so that you're not twidding your thumbs outside of combat.
>>
>>36460860

>>
>>36461351
The most likely event would be the Coachman accepting one of Facilier's deals in exchange for power. Since he was turning boys into donkeys purely for profit in the movie, it's probably still money that he's after. Best trade for him would probably be the souls of the visitors in exchange for a huge fairground of debauchery to twist them.
If you wanted to bring Stromboli in on a bigger scale, you could say that the people eventually get turned into puppets and their souls go to the Friends.

Lust is obviously Frollo, DeVille has nothing to do with lust. If anything she's Greed because her entire schtick is for the benefit of getting some luxurious coat.

And Ursula isn't gluttony either just because she's fat, all she wants is power over the sea and revenge on poseidon.

How's this for an update to chimera rules?

A chimera follows the same rules as Beast characters. To create a chimera, choose a primary and a secondary species and choose one racial trait each from the following list:

Felines: Low to the Ground OR Tree Climber
Bears: Bear Necessities OR Ursine Strength (Robustness cap increased by 2)
Primates: Wanna Be Like You OR Enhanced Mobility
Canines: Loyalty OR Pack-Member
Crocodilia: Rivergoer OR All Natural Armor
Elephants: An Elephant Never Forgets OR Terrifying
Insects: Creepy and Crawly OR Flight
Birds: Flight OR Shiny!
Horses: Plainrunner (+20m speed) OR Wild Horse (+2 Athletics and Travel)
Snakes: Cold Blooded OR Trusssst Me
Rodents: Shiny Things! OR Light Feet
Carnosaur: Tyrant Lizard OR Charge!
Stegosaurid: Too Stubborn to Hurt OR Spiked Tail
Ceratopsid: Charge! OR Two Hearts
Raptor: Clever Girl OR Thief Species
Human: one trait of choice from the genric list

Your size is the same as your primary species, shifted up to one category up or down based on the size difference of your two species. Chimeras with human or primate ancestry may use weapons and armor without problems, all others gain a set of natural weapons that give +2 Brawl.
>>
Well it's clearly inaccurate, but it's got like ~7 characters on it, so it fits the criteria we need for a lead image.
>>
>>36463902
Needs to be be human or primate base species. In fact, we said you couldn't take human as a modifying species, only a base species. Other than that, looks fine. You should mention that if either base species can fly, so can you.
>>
>>36463950
Okay, what can we put in place of flight for insects and birds?
>>
>>36463902
>>36463917
Second draft:

To create a chimera, choose a primary and a secondary species and choose one racial trait each from the following list:

Felines: Low to the Ground OR Tree Climber
Bears: Bear Necessities OR Ursine Strength (Robustness cap increased by 2)
Primates: Wanna Be Like You OR Enhanced Mobility
Canines: Loyalty OR Pack-Member
Crocodilia: Rivergoer OR All Natural Armor
Elephants: An Elephant Never Forgets OR Terrifying
Insects: Creepy and Crawly OR Absolutely Insignificant
Birds: Birdsong OR Shiny!
Horses: Plainrunner (+20m speed) OR Wild Horse (+2 Athletics and Travel)
Snakes: Cold Blooded OR Trusssst Me
Rodents: Shiny Things! OR Light Feet
Carnosaur: Tyrant Lizard OR Charge!
Stegosaurid: Too Stubborn to Hurt OR Spiked Tail
Ceratopsid: Charge! OR Two Hearts
Raptor: Clever Girl OR Thief Species
Human (PRIMARY SPECIES ONLY): one trait of choice from the genric list

Your size is the same as your primary species, shifted up to one category up or down based on the size difference of your two species. Non-human chimeras follow all rules for Beast characters, including being able to only take one trait from the generic/setting/class list at character creation. Chimeras with Human or Primate as their primary species may use weapons and armor without problems, all others gain a set of natural weapons that give +2 Brawl. Chimeras with Insect or Bird ancestry also gain the Flight trait.

Is there anything wrong or can I put it into a pastebin?
>>
>>36464080
Some traits seem a little imbalanced. Like, both cold blooded and completely insignificant give +2 stealth plus another bonus, while low to the ground only gives you +2 stealth. There's also many traits that only boost a single skill where others boost two.

---Traits---
Wanna Be Like You- 1 rank of Linguistics at character creation
Increased Mobility- +2 to Acrobatics.
Combo- If your Nimbleness exceeds that of the foe by at least 5 points, you can attack one more time in the same turn.

---Powers---
Fastest Fingers in All the Lands- Spend a Will point. You gain a +5 bonus to Mechanics, Acrobatics, and Athletics checks for the remainder of the scene.
Wind, Help My Feet to Fly- By spending a Will point you may attempt a single physics-defying feat of Acrobatics or Athletics (like running a short distance on a vertical wall or using a flight of passing birds as skipping stones to get to a nearby roof). The actual difficulty is up to the DM, and if he deems the act too impossible you are refunded the Will point.

Humans and apes are pretty much cousins, why can't we just go along?

Twin Swords: Dual-wielded weapons, +3 Melee
Light Armor: +1 Prevent Harm
Adventuring Journal: +1 Academics
Ten foot pole, rope, mallet & stake: Can't delve without
>>
>>36469573
Physical Description:
Dark of fur and long of limb, this remarkable example of ape wears a decorated padded vests and carries two curved swords and a battered rucksack on his back.

Rundown:
Monkeys have a very particular place in the Khanate's caste system. Sher Khan's political ties with the Kingdom of the Red Flower put the second only to the great cats in terms of rights and leeway, but exactly for this reason many see them as upstart foreigners reaping benefits they don't deserve. Kapi's modest origins and choice of career (adventurer and archeologist, or as he is often called "glorified graverobber") certainly didn't help. This is why he's always preferred the quiet of forgotten tombs and
overgrown temple to the hustle and bustle of cities and his "untouchable" human cousins to his fellow animals. Though he has achieved his dream of leaving his country and explore the wider world, homesickness can never be truly banished.

For a low-level King like Radcliffe, base it around the level Slim is at. For a high-level King like Jafar, base it off the Horned King or Elsa. We don't have a spec for a mid-level King like the Beast Kings, but put it roughly in-between the two.

Is Sabor gonna be a Villain on Queen La's domain/Africa in general?

Because I've seen Tarzan a few days ago and I feel like stating her up. She's still alive?
>>
>>36470506
She's alive, probably one of La's more powerful minions.
>>
>>36470328
Is it bad I laughed?
>>
>>36470506
We also need La' KLR. All of La's minions are alive, she's hardly the type to murder her own with all that druidic shit.
>>
>>36470517
Last time I checked, Scar had his eyes on her as a mate, and Shere Khan may or may not want her as well. Not sure about Bagheera.
>>
>>36470582
I assume you are talking about Sabor and not La, because that's fucking weird if you are.
>>
>>36470582
>Shere Khan and Bagheera
Please explain to me why either of them would even be aware of Sabor with the massive geographic distance between them.
>>
>>36470656

I'm quite sure that's from a joke many threads ago.

It was along with the headcanon of Scar and Shere Khan meeting up for a smug-off and becoming friends: They both want Sabor because she's all "fuck you and your borders I don't give a shit" and goes wherever she wants, so it'd be a power thing

And after every attempt they'd both just come back covered in bruises and scratches and nobody would have the heart to comment

Just fun
>>
>>36470656
Exactly why I said "may or may not." It was discussed in some of the earlier threads.
>>36470599
Yep, talking about Sabor. Also, we're not sure if Scar's affections are returned. Probably not.
>>
>>36470750
>they'd both just come back covered in bruises and scratches
What nobody realises is that this actually means they DID get laid. They may now have at least one broken bone, but it was still totally worth it.

Villain statting guy here to answer your question.
-Role: Whatever you want it to be. Don't forget to add the appropriate bonuses from each role.
-Attributes: 50 to 55 in total, max amount in is usually 14 to 18, barring special cases such as Colloso/MR. BONES. Strikes should be 7-9 +X2, where X is the number of party members. Barring special cases like HYDRAAAAA of course.
-Skills: This is the most flexible part of the design. You can have from 5 to 9 skills. Stats for the skills should be 7 for the main ones, and 6 in all others. It's Combat Skill (Melee, Ranged, or Brawl), Prevent Harm, and Endure all should be defaulted to 6.
-Traits: Whatever fits the villain best. Anywhere from 3 - 5 traits, barring special cases. Make sure that it has the Villain trait, which gives it a +2 to Prevent Harm and Endure. Also to give Beasts the Natural Weapons trait. You can choose from the generic list if you're making a Human/Human?, the beast list if you're making a Beast, both if you're making a Chimera, you can make up your own too, just make sure they're balanced, and finally you can pick certain traits from all trait lists if it fits the Villain.
-Powers: The bread and butter of a Villain, each one (In my opinion) should have 1 Unique Power that nobody else gets. This power can be anything from a passive effect, an attack, an area changer, or something else entirely, Villains should generally have 2 - 4. Maybe 5.
-Equipment: Whatever you want. Only use if you're doing Human/Human? or a Human-like Chimera.

That's pretty much it. Oh, and don't forget a Physical Description and a Background/Story too.

Gluttony - Scar
Pride - All of them but I guess Maleficent works okay

Alright, Shan Yu statted. Hopefully. Tell me what you think

King: Shan Yu, the Conqueror of the East
Role: Strong Guy
Class: Hun Warlord/Chieftain
Country: The Hunnish Empire
Size: Medium
Species: Human
Tier: Hero

---Attributes---
Robustness: 18
Agility: 16
Intelligence: 15
Sensibility: 11
Charm: 8
Wil: 3/3
Strikes: 8 + X4 where X is the number of Party Members
---Skills---
Acrobatics: 10 (11)
Athletics: 9 (10)
Melee: 9
Ranged: 7
Brawl: 8
Endure: 7
Intimidate: 7
Prevent Harm: 8
Insight: 6
Stealth: 8
Occult: 6
Travel: 9
--Traits—

Prideful Warlord: Obtain a +3 for every combat roll against a character/party that has scored a Social Strike. Social Strikes count double. Apply this bonus to every Social Strike taken. (Remember how pissed off he got when the Emperor didn’t bow, how he took the Great Wall as a challenge, and how he went Berserk against Mulan when he recognized her?)
Think You Hide from Me? : +2 to Insight when attempting to detect people in Stealth. (Alternatively, people trying to hide from you suffer a -2 to their Stealth rolls, whichever works better.)
Master of an Army: He can call in his Villains to aid him in a fight if they haven’t been defeated
Don't You Disrespect Me, Little Man!: +3 to Intimidate if the character has taken a Social strike in this Situation.
Tin Ear: Immune to all effects of music, harmful and beneficial.
No Wall Can Stop Me: This unit receives no penalties when going through physical obstacles (Not counting things such as snow or water)
KING: This unit is a KING. It gets +10 to Persuade and/or Intimidate its servants to do anything if opposed in some way, and can automatically make them obey if nobody is trying to incite rebellion among them.

CONT.
>>
>>36472094

---Powers---
Ride'm!: No matter if it be some strange horse or a bony fish or an even bigger lizard, the character is capable of riding anything able to carry his or her weight.
Now You’ll Bow to Me: At the beginning of each turn, make an Intimidate attack against all those within arm’s reach of Shan Yu. Apply this twice is Prideful Warlord has been activated
Then Kneel in PIECES!: +3 bonus towards the first attack roll against characters that have resisted “Now You’ll Bow to Me”.

If someone with a little more creativity could give the powers a try, I would appreciate it

---Equipment---
(Great) Hunnish Flamberge: +4 to Melee
(Great) Hunnish Warbow: +3 to Ranged
Not all that creative or imaginative, I know, and I'm sorry. But I just couldn't think of something to properly reflect how he was in the movie aside being a huge "Fuck you, I can slice down pillars and I'll fuck up anybody that doesn't recognize my superior might"
>>
>>36471125
Remember that Villains also get four actions a turn, so don't make their powers TOO strong.

The average Villain should have ~+25ish Prevent Harm and at LEAST +20 to attack of their method.

>>36471874
That's... all non-atlantean weapons.

>>36471690
Just give him a power that allows him to heal strikes due to his immortality, and another that gives him +2 Melee for every PC he's currently fighting.
>>
>>36472094
>attributes
May want to drop the Agility a bit, and Intelligence down to 14.

>strikes
Jesus Moses and Mary, that's 28 strikes against a party of 5.

>skills
Intimidate should probably be up one more, stealth down by one, and he really, really needs one more rank in Endure.

>prideful warlord
That's +6 the second he's taken a social strike. He's alrady rolling +32 to Melee without it, and that brings him to +38, averaging 3 strikes apiece against an on-a-roll combat monster.
No wall can stop me is good, maybe we should add that to the generic traits list.
Powers:
Good. I like them.
>>
>>36472160
Some magic weapons would still hurt him.
>>
>>36472263

No, no, Prideful would only activate once every two Strikes, at least that's what I had in mind.

But I kinda get it. Made him too much of a shitstomper, then?
>>
>>36472312
>pic related

>>36472364
I'm just wondering how high it stacks. Shan Yu is like, the highest you get as a human king in terms of personal competence. He absolutely should be able to shitstomp an entire team of on-a-roll heroes. His +melee needs to come down about ~5 somehow because he's taking actions a turn or we need to make Prevent Harm bonuses more available.

Also, Prideful Warlord is a bit unclear as to how it actually works; It says that he gets +3 for combat rolls (melee? ranged? intimidate? Prevent Harm? Endure?) when he's taken a social strike, but also that 'social strikes count double' and that this counts for EVERY social strike taken. This means that after 5 social strikes he's at +15 due to Prideful Warlord. The phrasing just needs to be reworked, it's a good concept.
>>
>>36472430

The way I had in mind, in vidya terms, would be something like:

>Social Strike dealt
>SS doubles
>Gain +3 Bonus

I need to rephrase it though, yeah. I just got on my phone though so I'll have to do it in a while
>>

Also, while I'm dropping all this, are we going to play around with the ideas of Destiny or Curses and whatnot?

Because if yes, I think using Geass/Geis would be the tits.

Geass: Apply one extra Ideal or Goal to the character, and gain +2 on every stat. If the character acts against the goal or ideal, take away the bonuses and give a -2 penalty to all rolls.

>>36473764
I thought of it as taking a specialty myself.
>>
>>36473691
The problem with the way it is written is that by forcing the players to bring Dyrnwyn, you just closed the options for this encounter. That is something that you can do, but it's something to do very carefully, and on a campaign-by-campaign basis. I know that you want him to be a badass as possible because he's your favorite villain, but making him the strongest thing in the game doesn't really fit. Additionally, you just made social characters totally fucking useless against him because you can't charm someone with a sword, and even physical characters are shitty now because you just made it so only the one person holding Dyrnwyn is able to hurt him while the rest of the party sits there oohing and ahhing about how badass Arawn is. That power is unnecessary and overpowered, and I think it's just there because you like The Horned King and the Prydain series as a whole. I think you're a bit too close to this.
>>
>>36473764
We all know how you feel about people doing more than one thing, Nob.
>>
>>36473921
The shadow shield takes 48 hits and has pretty great saves. He has a +30 to Prevent Harm when rolling Robustness
>>
>>36474204
I think you need to work on your reading comprehension; he now practically hands the players the means to finish him when he turns into a snake.
>>
>>36473299
So far, Kings have gotten static Strike limits, because they are constants. Kings are not meant to scale to parties, Parties are meant to build to Kings. Dynamic Strike limits make sense for Villains, as the party doesn't necessarily know about them before they fight them, and they are introduced as an obstacle when the players are ready for them by the DM, but Kings could theoretically be fought at any time the players really go for it, although it would take a party of That Guys to try to storm a King's palace as Zeroes. Anyways, that's just the precedent I put in place when I made the first two Kings on the wiki.
Also, if we're buffing Kings this much, I may need to adjust Elsa. Expect an incoming new statline for approval.
>>
>>36474613
And if we decide that it would be better, we can change the pre-existing Kings, but we should make them all match>>36474303

Did anybody ask for a Leopard?

No? FUCK YOU, YOU'RE GETTING A LEOPARD, MAKE WAY FOR SABOR.

-------
SABOR

Role: Villain/Strong Guy
Class: Prime Predator
Size: Medium
Species: Leopard

Attributes:

Robustness: 12 (14 with Primal Hunter)
Agility: 12 (14 with racial bonus)
Intelligence: 10
Sensibility: 10
Charm: 7

Will: 4/4

Strikes: 5+X3, where X is the number of party members.

---Skills---

Athletics: 7(8)
Acrobatics: 7(8)
Brawl: 7 (+2 to all rolls because of Slash and Bite)
Stealth: 7
Prevent Harm: 5
Intimidate: 6

---Traits---

-Low to the Ground

+2 to Stealth rolls where visual detection is a possibility

-Pinned Ya Again

Spend a Will Point and the character may choose to roll their Brawl vs. an enemy's Robustness/Agility to pin that enemy to the ground at risk of opening up another attack on the character upon failure. Pinned enemies cannot attack until unpinned and must make a Robustness check against a character's Brawl roll to become unpinned every round until defeated or successful escape.

-Villain
This unit is a Villain. It gets +2 to Prevent Harm and Endurance.

---Powers---

-Camouflage
After each Strike dealt to this unit, roll a Stealth check without counting it towards the character's actions. Only works if there are places suitable to hide.

-Pounce
If "Camouflage" is succesfully executed, then add +4 to the next Brawl roll
What do ya'll think?
>>
>>36474765
A leopard I would say is actually a Nimble Guy (lions and tigers are really the only big cats I'd put down as Strong Guys), but it looks good for a villain. Maybe it needs a few more stealth and intimidation traits, but it's workable. Needs Powers though.
>>
>>36474303
But WHY does he need the special rule? As it is, you just gave him some of the best loot in the game (a sword that affects a theoretically infinite number of lackeys and Mooks, which would make all other players feel useless in an encounter if the Strong Guy used it to kill EVERYTHING and they were just sitting there on a field of corpses after one turn, and a bow that gives +10 to over half the people in the game) and decided that only Melee or Ranged people can finish him off, and social or Brawl-based characters are shit out of luck if it's their turn and the he's down to one strike. Saying that he only can die the way you want him to die limits the players' options without giving them any added challenge or enjoyment. Think of it this way. If that rule were to actually affect play, how would you as a player feel about it. I, personally, would be pissed. I just nearly beat the King, only to have the rules tell me that I wasn't allowed to because I'm a bear and I can't pick up a sword. Now I have to sit there and wait for a human to pick it up and kill the guy I just should have killed, and if we don't have a Melee or Ranged-focused human, we're going to have to run away from a fight we should have won or even suffer a TPK because none of us can pick up and use a sword or a bow. The rule is decent for flavor, but it could fuck over a party pretty terribly.
>>
>>36474857

I hear ya, I was just in doubt between Strong and Nimble. I think my reasoning was just the sheer ammount of shit fuck-upery she did in the movie, but sure.

As for the traits, I wasn't sure how many to give her so I stayed low. I was turning her into a King-level adversary there.

And I hear ya about the powers, but I couldn't come up with good ones. "Pounce" is definitely going to be changed to apply to ANY successful stealth checks tho
>>
>>36474857
It all depends on the particular animal. A leopard is certainly stronger than a man, and you can't really generalize. I'd have to watch Tarzan again to determine if Sabor is strong or nimble, but you can't really just categorize an entire species to be one thing, because then you have to restrict player characters as well.
>>
>>36474927
Here's one
-Here me ROAR!
Spend a Will point. Make a social combat roll against all units with +3 Intimidation. Units that are size Small and Tiny suffer -3 to it's defensive roll.
>>
>>36474765
You know, i hate to bring it up, but Kingdom Hearts had a neat idea. You would be constantly attacked by Sabor, and after fendening her off, she would retreat and attack later on. It wasn't until you actually started hunting Sabor herself, did she stop being able to retreat
>>
>>36474987
I figure she should be a Strong Guy, if only because it works well with the idea that she's able to smack around Khan and Scar pretty easily. Also, from what I remember, it seemed like Tarzan was mostly the nimble one in their fight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u630r-mrOKY
>>
>>36474987
True, I just think that the average leopard is better off a Nimble Guy.

>>36474865
>But WHY does he need the special rule?
Because this is Medieval Britain, The Ulster Cycle, Beowulf, The Welsh Triads, Arthurian legend and the Mabinogion all mashed up together. The Lord of Death will not be defeated because you said something mean to him; he will fall because you used the four greatest things a warrior can have: courage, strength and skill at arms and a magic weapon.

What's the big fuss about anyways? No one said every king had to be equally vulnerable to all character types; Facilier is quite vulnerable to social characters provided you know his weakness.

>>
>>36475460
Yes, but what about the situation I just presented. It won't be that uncommon to have Brawl-based or animal physical characters in a party, and they can 't use your magic weapons. I understand that you like the rule conceptually, but there is literally no circumstance I can think of where that rule makes the game more fun, just less. Flavor-wise, it's nice, but from a practical point of view, it makes the game worse to play, and that comes before all else. We want to challenge players, but not randomly. This rule at best isn't a factor, as the weapons are better than anything a player would have, (or for that matter anything in the game so far, as one has the highest bonus I've seen in the game, and the other literally lets you fell armies in close quarters), so they would steal them no matter what, and at worst, the rule snatches defeat from the jaws of victory just because "Oh well, your party makeup isn't right, you can't kill him." It's a bad mechanic, plain and simple.

If your party doesn't have one guy in it who can pick up a weapon and use it well, then I have to question what you're doing Prydain with a party that seems not to match its spirit in the first place. As to the strength of the weapons, that's because the Horned King is a mid to late heroic boss; once he's down, you should start checking Travelocity to see what time of year flights to Bald Mountain are the cheapest, even if there are a few other kings to take down first.

Still, just because she doesn't necessarily fall under "sorceror" doesn't mean her magic is stronger.

I mean, sure, she's got AAAAALL THE POWERS OF HEEEEEEELL

But Jafar can fuck up a lot of shit. A lot. She turns herself into a dragon, he can make tigers into kitties and send whole buildings flying, etc.

Frankly it would be a very interesting duel. I am sincerely not sure on who I'd bet.

Maybe Jafar wins in raw power, but Maleficent has a better technique? You can't out-trick a fairy, after all. Jafar's magic would be more....Organized, if that makes any sense. It would have some sort of logic that you can see coming, sort of a reaction thing.

Maleficen'ts magic would just be bumfuck crazy.

Madam Mim would probably tell Maleficent she needs to chill the fuck out when she starts turning the trees into giantic snakes and the bushes into wild cats while transforming herself into a dragon or some shit

Elsa is the most powerful SORCERER in the world. If she was concentrating on it, Arendelle would probably be quite literally impossible to trek through.
Facilier is empowered through the Friends, Jafar through Genie magic, Maleficent through being a fucking dragon, and the Horned King through stealing magical artifacts. Elsa's power, on the other hand, cannot be taken away because it comes from emotions, making her ridiculously more powerful than anybody else in a one on one no items final destination battle.

Do you even remember Jafar m8?

Elsa's magic is powerful, sure, but you cannot discount the other types of magic just because hers is the "natural" type.

Hell, Maleficent's magic counts as natural no-super empowerment as well and I'm willing to bet that she could fuck up Elsa all the way through the continent and into Shrek's swamp.

A fulll power in-control Elsa would probably be the fourth most powerful magic user in the world

A full power, in control and TRAINED Elsa kicks up to a tie in second place, she ties with Ursula and Maleficent.

Elsa is the most powerful SORCERER in the world by a mile.
Even without her barely-existant power control, she's still on-par with Facilier and the Horned King, who are redonk powerful by themselves. Maleficent's magical shenangans are more powerful than Elsa's, but still, dragon.
>>
Basically, the issue is that Knight, you are trying to make the system itself railroad the players. We can all tell that you love this particular movie and setting, but you have an incredibly specific vision for a campaign in that setting, and you are trying, unintentionally, to make a campaign instead of a setting. The campaign is for the GM, the setting is for us.
>>36476343
Not really. Maleficent isn't better than all other sorcerers, Jafar is (as his wish specified that he was the strongest sorcerer in the world). Hades, I'm not sure. Someone else will have to stat him, as I personally really dislike Disney's Hercules (I watched it last night, and it was fucking Hera who fucked him over, not Hades!) but he didn't ever actually demonstrate powers that were really that great that weren't either over his own demons or through contracts that weren't really any more powerful than Facilier's. So even though he is nominally a god, I'm not sure how his power level is. Again, I'm too close to this, so I wouldn't stat him out. I'd say something like this (With Hades not included for reasons previously mentioned):
1. My Man C-Boggy
2. Jafar
3. Maleficant (for technique), Elsa (for raw power), Facilier (if he can trick you into agreeing to anything, he can be in disguise), Ursula (but only underwater. She's the Aquaman of Disney villains)
4. La, Grimhilde, Frollo, Tzekel-Kan
5. Yzma
>>36476595
No, she isn't. Jafar is EXPLICITLY made the most powerful sorcerer in the world. I think that counts for all of the Sorcerer-Kings with the possible exception of Maleficent, because she is just a dragon. All the other methods of getting magic you named are just sorcery.
>>
>>36476595
>>36476728
Jafar's power depends on a lot of things. If he made his second wish to be the most powerful SORCERER in the world, it'd genie-boost him past Elsa's potential.

It's not that she's stronger, it's more that Cherno just plain can't get a foothold. Nothing can get a foothold in Arendelle; not for long, anyway, because there's nothing there to conquer. Just a few thousand miles of ice punctuated by mindless golems and the occasional sauna. Elsa is one of the few sentient beings remaining in the entire region, which means that Cherno has to corrupt her through more indirect methods.

Personally, I think Jafar should be still in Sultanmode. "Most powerful sorcerer in the world" means a whole lot more in a world where there exist sorcerers who can destroy the climate of a significant portion of the planet just by being there.
>>
Alright, so wait a second, let's recapitulate here

We can probably divide the magic users in small qualifications if we want to see who is got at what

Raw Power

Technique

Predictability

Ursula is full on Raw Power, and she's got a fucking lot of it. Divine Magic is not something to be fucked with, but she is incredibly predictable and her technique seems to be simple.

Jafar has a fuckload of raw power and his technique by now is probably excellent; he had time to practice. Even so, he is still human and if you know him, you can probably predict what he will do next or simply quickly adapt..

Elsa has a fuckload of Raw Power as well, but little to no technique. She'll fight extremely well and adapt in a pinch, but let's be real here, she's just flinging ice around and counting on her golems. Her emotions and lack of practice make her a lot more unpredictable though, but you can still kind of see through her logic. She's also only human.

Facilier has very little raw power. It's all about the trickery and contracts with him, and he always keeps his cards close to his chest. He has little raw power, but his technique is impecable and his impredictability is quasi-unmatched. You don't know what goes through his mind until your shadow gets yanked from under you.

Maleficent is probably the most well balanced here. As the most powerful fairy in the world, she's got a whole fucking lot of raw power. And she has lived for a long, long time, which certainly can lead us to assume she's got some perfect technique, too. And as a fairy, you can't possibly get more unpredictable than that. She might not have the biggest power level, but her overall look is the best that there is.

>>
>>36476778
>I WISH TO BE THE MOST POWERFUL SORCERER (pause for effect) IN THE WORLD!
Doesn't matter what the hell he was before, genie granted the wish and the wish was for sorcery better than everyone on earth at that moment. Whether its a constant check style that makes his power fluctuate based off of living sorcerers or its just a one time deal he's the best. Also, it ain't DnD sorcerer and wizard are interchangeable to the rest of the world.

>>36476929

I am not familiar with anything concerning the Horned King, so I don't feel confident enough to say much about him. Is it him doing sorcery, or does he only count on the cauldron?

Also, I can try to whip up a sort of stats for the sorcerors. Just give them 1-10 in Power, Technique, and Predictability to get some sort of image
>>
>>36476929
Notable power and control, but only a narrow variety of ways to use it. Hoarding magic items compensates for the latter.
>>
>>36476929
Horned King is quite powerful - strong enough to give Maleficent a sweat, though perhaps not to beat her. If he were to tap into the power of the Cauldron full-on, he might even contest Jafar. He also has excellent technique. However, he's a very no-nonsense guy, and prefers the most direct solution.

>>36477123
Elsa's raw power should be higher than Maleficent's and at least equal to Jafars. She literally froze over a million miles of land to death-causing tempratures without trying. >>36476778

>>36476832
Agreed. Jafar is a sorcerer-sultan and has better power and technique than anyone, as he is explicitly the most powerful in the world and has had the time and temperament to refine his technique. Depending on how the Genie's powers work, it is actually entirely possible that his power would grow to the level of the most powerful sorcerer in the world.
>>36477165
Jafar gets highest power, and very high Technique, as well as high variety. Elsa does have high power, but isn't better than him, because that was explicitly stated. I think you overestimated Maleficent though. Her actual powers in Sleeping Beauty weren't immense, with turning into a dragon being her ultimate trump card, so 9 is a bit much.

Alright, new proposal for the Horned King:

>A GOD AMONG MEN!: If the Horned King runs out of strikes and the Black Cauldron is not yet destroyed, then in an act of desperation he will draw Arawn's dark powers into himself. This restores him to full strikes and will points. Furthermore, so long as no one has made the ultimate sacrifice to destroy the Black Cauldron's powers forever, he gains +4 to all rolls cannot fall again even if he has no strikes left.....unless the final strike comes from a magic weapon. If the Black Cauldron is depowered while he has no strikes left or is within maximum strikes minus remaining strikes meters away from the Black Cauldron, the Horned King will be sucked in and gruesomely destroyed.

Now you don't even need opposable thumbs or competence in battle to kill him.
>>
>>36477165

Well, either you’re closing your eyes
To a situation you do not wish to acknowledge
Or you are not aware of the caliber of disaster indicated
By the presence of my magnificent self in your community
Ya got trouble, my friend, right here
I say trouble, right here, right now
Why I’m the biggest best player
Certainly mighty proud to say it
All the futile hours that you spend
Struck down by the golden trident in my hand
Help knock you into some sense
So keep your cool little head
And just accept what I give
An iron-clad leave to yourself
With a three-wheel farming lot
But just as I say,
It takes judgment, brains and maturity to be
As magnificent as me,
I say and boob kin take
And shove it in his pocket
That call that sloth
The first big step on your road
To the depths of deg-ra-day
I say you’re safer with me
You’re better with me
And the next thing ya know
You won’t be forced ta be begging for money
In a raggedy suit
And list’nin bout the big-shot ‘Sula
When instead ya could be gambling for ‘em.
Not some wholesome trottin’, no!
Join the race where I set ya right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy
Sitting on your horse? Make your blood boil?
Well, I should say.
Friend, lemme tell ya what I mean
Ya got two, three, four, five, six people you could go two
People that make no difference
Between the gentleman and the bum
With a capital ‘U’
And that rhymes with ‘B’ and that stand for best!
Come all week long your river city
Youth’ll be fritten away
Your young men’ll be smitten
Fritten away their noontime with the glorious magnanimous
Hilariously boundlessinous
Pulling danellioniounous
The great amazing poundianble Ursula!
P.S.
chill out everyone

He put a normal way in there as wrll, c'mon now

By now it's pretty acceptable
>>
That's it. I'm sick of all this "+5 sword" bullshit that's going on in the DVV system right now. Magic swords deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.
I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine magic sword in Camelot for 200 crowns (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut overpowered custom enemies made to make me look good with my magic sword.

Magic smiths spend years working on a single magic sword and enchant it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.

Magic swords are thrice as sharp as non-magical swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a normal sword can cut through, a magic sword can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a magic sword could easily bisect any Villain with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Camelot? That's right, they were too scared to fight the magical King Arthur and his Excalibur. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the men with the magic swords first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Magic weapons are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the DVV system. Here is the stat block I propose for magic swords:

+20 against anything using Prevent Harm, affects every creature that draws breath with a single slice

Now that seems a lot more representative of the cutting power of magic swords in real life, don't you think?

tl;dr = magic swordz need to do more damage in DVV, see my new stat block.

The point is just that the magic weapon rule doesn't add anything interesting to the game, it's just a way to flavor an enemy to fit a certain concept, like a lot of that King actually.
He has 9 traits, one of which is just Super-Tin-Ear and one of which fucks over anyone who sings, because Knight didn't envision music in this fight, and has a power "that also causes Poison and Burn". The observant among you will notice that "Poison and Burn" are both not actually effects that exist in the system.

Yes, but he stuck in this trait:
>Record Scratcher: When a character starts a musical number, +4 on the first offensive (Melee, Ranged, Brawl) roll towards that character.
so if you sing, HK get a bonus against you because you are trying to do something that doesn't fit Knight's vision for the fight.
>>
>>36477797
>"Poison and Burn" are both not actually effects that exist in the system.
The fuck you on about
Poison causes an extra strike in damage
Burn acts the same as poison except the damage comes in 2 turns later
Hydra has poison attacks for example
Cerberus has burning attacks for example
>>
>>36477888
Fair point, perhaps it should be changed a little, but if it's a song of don't get hit that can actually at worst cancel each other out.
Besides that's actually funny when he does it.
>>
>>36477933
Wait I just realized I need to change burn rules. Because it's pretty much a shitty poison. Combo of freezing and poison would probably be good.

-Burning
This creature's attacks can inflict burns. Burns act like Poison, but the effect comes in to affect 2 turns after the Burn is inflicted. Number of Strikes inflicted can stack. Burned units suffer -1 to Robustness and Agility until the Strikes are inflicted.

That seems better.
>>
By the way, the non-magical method to shut down the cauldron is literally suicide. You have to kill your own PC by tossing them into the Cauldron to shut it down, or else use the sword he wants you to use. As for the distance effect, I'm not sure how that would work, as this game isn't on a grid or a board of any kind, so that would be really hard to set up.
Anyway, I guess my overall feeling, and the reason that this argument lasted so long, is that this is the least Disney fight in the game. The Horned King would make a brilliant enemy in a d20 system or another more serious system. He is a straight-up high fantasy evil king style villain, and that is what those systems do best.
>>36475460
>This is Medieval Britain, The Ulster Cycle, Beowulf, The Welsh Triads, Arthurian legend and the Mabinogion all mashed up together. The Lord of Death will not be defeated because you said something mean to him; he will fall because you used the four greatest things a warrior can have: courage, strength and skill at arms and a magic weapon.
This is not what a Disney system is meant for. This is D&D. "Medieval Britain, The Ulster Cycle, Beowulf, The Welsh Triads, Arthurian legend and the Mabinogion all mashed up together" is pretty much a standard medieval fantasy world, and that is what D&D is for. What we are doing right now is trying to compromise between a Disney world and a stock fantasy setting, and the results aren't great.

Potions wouldn't count, Knight specified that it must be a weapon.
>>36476089
I>f your party doesn't have one guy in it who can pick up a weapon and use it well, then I have to question what you're doing Prydain with a party that seems not to match its spirit in the first place.
He also seemed to be saying that only a certain type of party should do this, which is apparently a primarily human party of noble adventurers who shall prove their worth by making King Arthur get up off his ass and save the kingdom and become Knights of the Round Table and so on and so forth. Again, it's a campaign, not a setting. If people want to fight the Horned King by being as close to the Lloyd Alexander books as possible, that's great, but they should also be able to do it with an assassination attempt, a squadron of bears, a peasant uprising, or blowing up a whole castle with him inside using a shitload of dynamite like a Sunnydale High graduation ceremony. More options is better. If we can build an open world with obstacles in it, we're doing great, but if we turn a nation into a campaign that can only be played one way, we have a problem
>>
Oh my god I go away for a day and you kids are smoking and arguing about magical swords, stattintg magic, and generally starting a shitstorm.

What's up on the chopping block?
>>
>>36478809
It's mostly arguing on what to do with horned king.
I personally think that it's fine now with>>36477282
>>
>>36478809
People are fighting about Knight's Horned King.
Particularly one rule about him only being killable with a magic sword, although he suggested that there are three methods to kill him.
1. Kill yourself
2. Make him walk too close to a cauldron (which is weird because the game has no map or grid, but could work)
3. Magic weapons

Personally, I say skip all the bullshit and just remove the rule as a whole, but he seemed really attached to it
>>
>>36478848
Still don't like the whole "need a magic weapon" thing since Knight is vastl underestimating how hard it'll be for someone unskilled with weapons to hit the Horned King, but hey. Now he just gets to take potshots at you outside of the cauldon's range unless someone is willing to throw their character into the trash extremely late in their development, having to roll a new character at like, the third to last session, but okay.
>>
>>36478895
I guess I just figure you can ask a... wizard or sorcerer to enchant your claws (assuming you're a party of BEARS) so you can kill his ass. I mean, magic using guys are everywhere and I can't imagine anyone bring against the idea of the horned king being dead.
>>
>>36478895
I agree that it doesn't really add anything to the game and it seems just bizarre. Strawpoll?
>>
I just realized, if we got Mor'du to the horned king and got them to fight, could Mir'du win with his magic bearness?
>>
>>36478946
Perhaps, though I think we've reached a good compromise myself
>>
>>36478940
actually, despite what you might suspect from what people in this thread say, wizards aren't everywhere. It's pretty magic-light as far as non-villains are concerned.
>>
How about you have to kill the Cauldron before killing the Horned King? Since the Cauldron is pretty much his main source of power.
>>
>>36479218
Admittedly I was thinking we'd use maleficent or triple M fit that purpose, maybe seek Merlin out. But that might nit be very Disney to manipulate the magic villains and such.

Strawpoll for the Horny King
>>
>>36479639
... we probably should have held this at 7 or something.
>>
>>36479678
I'll post it again tomorrow morning if not many people vote, then
>>
>>36479639
In my opinion, Horned King should be sort of a puzzle boss. Facing him is pretty hopeless, you need to keep him distracted from the cauldron long enough for someone else to do something about it.
Having someone willingly hop in the cauldron is one way, but we can always Disney Magic up another solution if we really want.
>>
>>36479705
I like that idea, but this is a poll specifically about whether or not he should need a magic weapon or a kamikaze to kill him. I voted no, because I don't think that rule makes anyone enjoy the game more, and it can make someone enjoy the game much, much less, because they weren't metagaming enough to look up the boss' weakness before going in, and now they have to kill themselves because they made the mistake of having an Elk Strong Guy because it was more interesting than Brave Knight No.478.
>>
>>36479705
Just stat the cauldron with incredibly high robustness, but no way to attack or do anything. But give it a weakness. So you can bruteforce it, suicide to destroy it, disney magic it, or find it's weakpoint and destroy it.
>>
>>36479821
Wait wait wait
What if we TAPE a magic weapon like a lance or something on the animal
What happens then
>>
>>36479821
Nigger it's disney
Brave knights are the name of the game.

>>36479854
but you shouldn't be restricted to them. It's not bad to have a really fucking generic character, but for god's sake, don't force people into it.
>>
>>36479852
OR you can get a saddle with a holster facing forwards, and put the weapon in there.
OR a metal case that's on the side or top of the animal you can put the magic weapon
OR you can get something like a robot arm or some shit to wield the weapon
OR just do magic
OR polymorph and shit
Dude the possibilities are endless

Anyways, FUCK THIS SHIT: IMMA STAT OUT A BEE STRONG GUY! ALSO. ALLCAPS NOW! THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD SHOULD BE YELLING THESE WORDS!
Okay, okay, here's how this shit goes down.
This isn't some fucking pansy-ass lone bee, no, this motherfucker is a QUEEN bee. This bitch is all up in everyone's business, but it's okay, cause she's the fucking boss. So, I'm not sure how to make this new beast race, but we're gonna figure this shit out together. It'll be a hive that'll be on the back of a friendly horse or some shit, and you will basically play as a full swarm of bees whenever you do shit. You guys think this is a great 3 AM idea for a character?

It's lifted from a Carnosaur, and flight wouldn't make sense, because the armor is too heavy. What if it just raises the cap by 1?
>>
>>36480363
>>36480455
Wait hold on
Let me modify that Honey trait just a bit.

HoneyHoneyHooney, Honey!: When those other fuckers are sleeping, you are producing sweet delicious honey. Honey can be used to reduce an enemies Agility by 2, or restore one Strike. Ursine characters suffer -4 Agility from the honey. One Honey stack is produced once per day. Stacks up to 15 stacks. Excess honey must be either sold, used, or discarded.

Better right?
>>
>>36480455
Carnosaurs get it because they are Giant beasts who can't fit inside or use equipment. As it stands, any bonus is literally creating a better human -- there's no reason to play a human strong guy over a strong guy MADE OF BEEEEES!

Also, all stat increases/decreases are by multiples of 2.
>>
>>36480499
>>36480499
>As it stands, any bonus is literally creating a better human
To be fair, he doesn't get any Powers or Traits from the generic list for humans creation, and only gets a total of 3 to 4 Powers/Traits
>>
>>36480561
*for humans during character creation
>>
>>36455309
Huh... where did the Adventurer's Almanac go? And am I remembering wrong or did we have two documents for the rumor mill?
>>
>>36480561
Well, the power is good -- actually, you could probably upgrade it to heal two strikes and it'd still be balanced. But Beasts are only supposed to gain 2 racial traits (+1 more if they have Flight/Swimming quick as a core part of their race) so they have one trait to use generically. Amorphous already is among of the best traits in the game as far as beasts go (very few things provide bonuses to prevent harm, and you can wear armor on top of that!) and you already can use Equipment, so you should probably drop Proportional strength and it'd be balanced against the other Beasts.

It's a great concept by the way -- I'd love to see it in Tuesday's playtest if you're interested. bonus lessons for each time you say "we are bees" or "we are bees, we hate you." Any idea what you're going to call the species in general? Armored Swarm? Hive-mind?
>>
>>36480688
This is it then? Will we finally have our full animal party?

Bug Type is unnecessarily harsh. Make it -2 and give Honeyhoneyhooney 2 strike restores instead of one and it looks fine to me.

I like it. Also, the species will be called Hive Knight, and my character will be named Hivan. Hivan barely made it out of Russia when Cherry Bong (pictured) took over. Hivan lives by no code but his own, and doesn't really trust anyone who isn't bees.
By the way, I'm changing Bug Type so it takes double fire strikes, rather than being bad at dodging fire.

Also, on an unrelated note, we should buff Sensible Guys. Nobody ever makes them, because they seem boring. I mean, we need them, but nobody wants to be the guy who's contribution is pointing people where to go. How do we make playing a Sensible Guy sexier?

Make an Oracle or some shit who can give vague hints about the future from the DM. Or a Kung-fu master, since sensibility also means your senses.

A sensible guy could very well be social warrior with Persuasion and Deceit: instead of trying to convince/bullshit the opponent you appeal to their better sentiments or pull the right heartstrings.

>es, rather than being bad at dodging fire.
Okay, -2 it is. Final draft incoming:

Hive Knight:
Size: Medium!
Natural weapons: Stingers provide +2 to Brawl
Racial Traits:
HoneyHoneyHooney, Honey!: When those other fuckers are sleeping, you are producing sweet delicious honey. Honey can be used to reduce an enemies Agility by 2, or restore two Strikes. Ursine characters suffer -4 Agility from the honey. One Honey stack is produced once per day. Stacks up to 5 stacks at Zero, increasing to 10 at On-A-Roll and 15 at Hero. They get +2 to stealth, and an additional +2 against humans, on account of being all tiny and shit
Amorphous: +2 to Prevent Harm
Attributes: +2 Robustness, +2 Intelligence, -2 Agility
Bug Type: take a -2 penalty against fire damage
>>
>>36480896
>takes double fire strikes
Holy shit, that's a horrific disadvantage given how many people attack with fire.

>buffing sensible guys
Well, they aren't used much because it's very hard to be wacky with a character that's down to earth, and so far with a few exceptions the playtesting has been 'what completely ridiculous party can we come up with this time?' (See: Playtest 5 and 4) To make them more attractive, you'd need to give them something that's less "I am a rock in a stream of insanity" and more "I KNEW YOU WOULD SAAAAY THAAAAT!" or just "You cannot beat me at planning. I could give Xanatos a run for his money."
>>
>>36480942
Yeah, I'm not saying that they are bad, I'm saying that I haven't seen people playing them, and we should fix that by making some traits or powers geared towards Sensibility
>>
>>36480955
Sensible guy power:
-Tactical Genius: You can watch people so intently that you can determine where their blind spots are and move people through them. For 1 will point, you may roll Insight to move up to 6 people (of any size) behind any object you care to name to hide them from the enemy, where they will be concealed.

Yes, sensible guys can now become Creed.

I don't think we should be relying on Dyrnwyn. Otherwise, we just make the party rely on having Taran around and make HIM the hero of the story as opposed to the players. He's already had a go at being the hero in this universe, and he failed. Still, I agree there should be some special method of killing him. Same with all the Kings.
