CHAPTER: THREE and SEVEN EIGHTHS: THE INTERLUDE EXTENDED

Archives: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Kabbalah%20Quest

You are Jonny, 13 in age and just over five foot in height! You're almost as tall as Mum now and practically the man of the house, ready to take this world by the horns and throw it into tomorrow!

Which is a good thing, because you're LOST, plain and simple. Playing the day's events back over in your mind you realise you still don't really have any idea what's going on.

It started early, being roused from your sleep by Dad who had a pained expression on his face. You dressed quickly and grabbed your bag as instructed, filling it with a change of clothes, a tennis ball and that medal you won last month for the 800 metre sprint. You stumbled down the stairs and tugged on your Nikes, turning to see your sister in tow, blearily rubbing her eyes. Moments later and you were sitting in front of Dad on the motorbike as it roared to life, racing down the drive and out onto the highway. You remember that after a little while the bike lurched as it suddenly sped up, and as you turned to see if you'd hit anything Dad deftly swivelled your head back forwards. You pondered this a little but forced it to the back of your mind, you'd ask him later what it was.

Then everything had gotten gloomy despite the sun being high in the sky, something collided with your right and then the next thing you knew you were spinning through the air, tarmac flying towards you, and then you were waking groggily. Stiff and aching all over, neck sore from where you'd apparently passed out on uneven ground. You'd moaned aimlessly as you had pushed yourself up from the cold floor, looking about to find yourself in a ditch, long grass disguising its depth.

And then realised that you were no longer riding Dad's motorbike. Had you fallen off? Thank god for the helmet.

You spot your bag and sling it over your shoulder before clambering back up onto the highway, looking around. Night's starting to set in and you have no idea which way you came from.

Well, which way should you go?

>>
>>36458787

Right makes right, right?

It's as good a choice as any you decide, stretching to lose the stiffness in your cold limbs. It partially succeeds.

You remove the helmet and cram it inside your rucksack for now, it's just going to be distracting for this next part. Setting off with a brisk walk, wincing as your bruises make themselves known, you manage to warm up after a few minutes. Time for what you're good at - running.

---

You've settled into the groove, bruises shifting to a pattern of dull aches as they catch in the same order over and over, your feet slightly numbing from the pounding on the tarmac.

You cast you mind over your situation.

Dad would surely come to look for you. No, you've been out for however long, chances are he's already double backed in search but missed you since you were tucked away in that ditch.

So where does that leave you? Or him? Will he be back home by now, fretting with your Mum? Lisa probably finds this all very amusing, recompense for all your teasing about her self-professed survival skills. Oh well, you'll show her. You'll find somebody soon enough, they'll phone the police and it'll all sort itself out.

Or maybe Dad will just come driving back this back and spot you now that you're in plain sight...

>(Cont.)
>>
>>36459457

You thank something arbitrary, luck, gods, whatever, that the moon is out and full. Without the dim light you'd have got lost and wandered off this highway hours ago. Well, obviously you'd notice when you left the hard tarmac and returned, but your journey would have been very erratic and stumbling around like that would tire you much faster.

Not that you're feeling particularly perky right now. Running for however long does that to you.

You play the scene out in your mind, a tall teenager running alone across the moonlit highway... Feels like it belongs in a movie.

Still, you're dead tired now and slowing significantly. Probably time for a quick rest before you get going again.

You slow to a walk and leave the highway, finding a denser patch of grass to lie down on. You're warm now but without moving you won't be much longer so you empty your pack and double up your clothing, your favourite Union Army jacket tugged around you, hat pulled on too.

You curl up and sleep carries you away.

---

Fuck your mouth's dry. And tastes kinda bad. And ohgod you're hungry. And aaaargh you're stiff and sore...

Why hasn't anyone found you yet? It's been nearly a day now that you've been missing.

You stand groggily.

What do?
>Write-in your cunning plans of action for the day

First of all, now that it's daylight you have a far better chance of recognising where you are. You stand stiffly, shucking off the extra clothes and stashing them back in your bag then peer around, seeking out familiarity from the landscape around you.

Nothing catches your eye, though whether that's because it's the first time you've been out this way or just the lack of distinct scenery you can't say.

Well then, better kick this whole survival thing up to the next level. Gonna have to look for a food and water source. Did Buffalo Barbique ever have an episode of surviving on the plains? You can't remember.

You focus your eyes and look around you, trying to discern movement.

Some distant rustling catches your attention. You memorise the spot then look down, finding a suitably sized rock that fits your palm well, not too weighty.

Looking back up you note the movement again then set off at a light jog towards it, ignoring the fatigue and hunger.

You close in on it as it grazes and it looks up, eye facing you. Hunh, it's a pronghorn, that shit's gonna be delicious when you catch it.

It's seen you though and lightly skips away.

One thing's for certain. Not fast enough.

You take off like a bat out of hell, arms and legs taut and tight, muscles straining, wind suddenly whipping through your hair. You clench the rock tight in your fist and you swear the pronghorn's eye widens in shock at your bipedal form flying over the lumpy ground towards it.

At the last minute it flicks it head back forward and bounds off with a leap, racing away from you but you're having none of that, legs pumping you maintain pursuit, steadily drawing alongside it. You reach out with a hand and grasp it by the horn to stop it turning away and bring your rock-bearing fist down on its head.

This does surprisingly little and you have to whack it a few more times before its legs buckle and it falls into a roll, pulling you to the floor since you're still holding on to it tightly.

The dust settles and you roll over to it, noting the glazed expression and blood leaking from the mushy part of it's head.

Faced with your fresh kill, you rack your brains for how to actually go about eating it.

Victors spoils. It'd be an insult not to use the dead as best you can.
You lick your dry lips, bringing you head down to the trickling blood...

No... You just can't bring yourself to do it. You might be hellbent on surviving in the wild but going from civilised teen to blood drinking savage in one day is just too jarring.

You sigh and get back to work.

You make tenuous progress with the rock, coming up against the ribcage. Crap, you forgot about that.
Cursing your inadequate tool you set about rolling the pronghorn over to expose its soft midriff before starting up again. You consider seeing if you can extricate some of the larger bones, they'd be useful to make into tools. Sharpen one, tie a rock to another...

---

In time you've split open the creature's belly, internal organs spilling out. You roll your sleeve up and brace yourself for what's going to be a very strange experience.

Here goes nothing.

You push your hand inside and start forcing it up through the beast, feeling out the tough muscle of the heart. You make a false start first, drawing out what you realise is a kidney. How you got quite so far away from the heart is anyone's guess, but you resume your search and after forcing your way through some softer, almost fluffier organs you grasp a solid lump of flesh, feeling thick vessels branch out from it.

>(Cont.)
>>
>>36460662

Bingo.

You clutch it in your slippery grip and begin the process of wresting it free, tugging it down and out. You slowly feel bits give here, a snap and twang there and eventually it comes free. You fall backwards, heart in hand, it oozes thick blood onto the dusty floor.

All that's left now is to eat the damn thing.

You sit back upright and tentatively bite on one side of it. It's chewy and your teeth make no purchase on it. To hell with staying any cleaner, then, you cram one side into your mouth and furiously gnaw at it, slowly but surely canines catching on it and scraping bits off, finally sinking in. The blood trickles down your throat, moistening the dry surface in a way that soothes you.

You finally manage to tear a chunk of the meat off, masticating furiously on it. By now you've concluded that hearts are not in fact the prime cut when it comes to texture, hopefully it pays off in nutrition. Maybe there's a way of cooking it that tenderises it sufficiently?

Oh well.

---

A good while later and you've had your fill of flesh, chomping at a bit of leg with tired jaw after you finally made it through the heart. You've also managed to extract a couple long bones before tiring of the ordeal. Looking at the horns you also decided to see if you could wrench them off, slamming your foot down on one until it finally gave way.

INVENTORY+ two long bones, an antler!

You don't have a good way to carry any more of the carcass with you, and you could potentially just catch another when you needed to, but it feels awfully wasteful.

You rack your brain for good ideas

You stash the bones and antler in your pack, slinging it over your shoulder and going to stand before noticing what seems to be animal tracks. Hmm.

Setting off at a jog, you decide to head back the way you think you've generally come. The great thing about long straight roads is that you can head in a vague direction and eventually cross it sooner or later.

---

Or not.

You don't really understand it, you can't have come that far when chasing that animal can you? And those tracks only lasted for half an hour...

Nevertheless, you have to admit that you're truly and utterly lost. You crest the top of a shallow hill and take a breather, looking around in the late afternoon sun. A twinkling shimmer catches our attention, lying in the distance, surrounded by dense brown vegetation as far as you can make out.

Curious.

You bolt down the hill, legs flying over the scrubby ground as you wind your way over to it.

It's strange, that vegetation you spotted seems to be moving. Strong wind perhaps?

As you near you realise with a start that it's actually a herd of bison. Are those antagonistic? Are they likely to stampede once they notice your presence? How tough are they to kill anyway, could you nab one for a snack?

One pronghorn, you can handle. But you're fucked if you're going to attack a herd of bison.

You quietly turn, ready to return the way you came. Then it strikes you that simply backtracking is just a waste of time, and you look across the plains to see if anything else catches you attention. You notice a dirt track crossing the otherwise grassy plains, it looks well trod. Maybe it leads somewhere noteworthy?

You break out into a fast jog down it, dust kicking up from your footfalls.

---

Well that was a stroke of insight. You've come to running water, not quite a river but plentiful and clear. You shuck your bag, falling to your knees and cupping handfuls of the cool water to your mouth, drinking greedily, the sweet liquid washing away your parched throat as you take it in. Thirst quenched you splash water over your face, washing away the grime and dried blood. You lean back against a large rock and simply relax for a moment.

You decide that you really need a proper wash. Quite frankly you stink from two days of constant activity and even if there's no one else it bothers you. You peel your clothes off and step into the water, it comes up just below your knees and flows lazily around you. You lean back, head into the flow, feet propped against the pebbly floor and float on the surface for a while, soothed, mind clear. After a little while you decide that lingering any further will start to chill you and you rise, giving yourself a quick scrub down with your hands, shining cleanly again.

You shake the moisture off and stray back to the large rock, the sun dries you in minutes and you put your clothes back on.

You consider your next move and you eyes fall on the two bones and antler sticking out of your pack.

You wonder if there's a Bone God. Stands to reason that something as ubiquitous as bones would have some supernatural being keeping track of them. And if you have the favour of the Bone God... Actually, you're not really sure what you'd hope to receive. Maybe stronger bones? That's actually going to be pretty useful if you're out here any length of time, starved of your milk...

You take the two bones and antler and wander a few paces from the large rock, scrabbling with the loose soil to make a hollow and tucking the bones in, sticking upright. You place the antler beside them and admire your handy work. It's not much, but it's more than nothing and hopefully it's the thought that counts.

You rinse your hands briefly then look up at the sky. Judging by the position of the sun it's not long after noon and you should have plenty of time for a nap...

You sit back in the shade of the large rock and close your eyes. Your limbs buzz gently from the respite from all that work you've put them to and the wind breezes lazily across your face. Before you know it your mind is sinking backwards into a slumber...

You're hovering on a thermal, soaring through the sky, sparse clouds dotting the horizon. Circling round with you are vultures, wings spread, hooked neck craning down to survey the ground. As you continue to swirl through the air you catch sight of your target, two bleached white shapes jutting from the baked earth, and you begin spiralling your descent, the vultures twirling with you. There is a creature nearby, spread across a rock, but it lives. No matter, all things are yours in time. You turn your attention to the pitiful offering and let out a screech, vultures echoing it around you as they swoop down, bones dropping from their grasp around the two embedded ones, a sizeable pile forming with a clatter. Much better. There is a rumbling and you turn to see a herd of bison slowing as they come to meet the waters edge, heads dipping, surface frothing with the activity. One of them strays too close to your pile and knocks some askew, this is unacceptable. Flesh evaporates from the creatures in a circle around you, their skeletons collapsing with a rattle. Wisely the herd avoids the spot now and you let out a screech, flapping madly and taking flight into the sky, sun burning down into your eyes as you stare at it with empty sockets...

---

You wake to find a bison strolling idly in front of you. Seems that your presence in and of itself does not alarm them then. You cautiously get to your feet and look around to find yourself in the middle of the herd. Hopping up onto the large rock you survey the scene, a gap in the milling animals drawing your attention.

At the epicentre lies that shrine you cobbled together only a few hours prior, nestled in the middle of a great pile of miscellaneous other bones. A little ways around are bleached skeletons that you identify by the skull, clearly what were once bison in nature.

>Shape the bone pile into a more ornamental shrine
>"I like tools and all, but I'm not one to commit blasphemy".
>>
>>36462941

You slowly walk over to the pile but the bison ignore you. You consider saying something in the Bone God's name but decide your appreciation would be much better represented by arranging the pile of bones into something more ornate.

You first lay them all out, grouping them by size and shape, and then begin to arrange them in spiralling patterns from the central point you put together earlier, long bones jutting out in the middle, decreasing in size and you continue round. Finished, you admire your handy work. It's impressive in your opinion, simple yet elaborate, plain yet striking.

You turn and look at the bison skeletons, wondering whether to shape any of their bones would be to defile the blessings of your God. You don't think so. Just as it is natural for animals to gnaw on them, so too it is the way of the world that humans will shape them. You gather a couple of the larger bones from one of the bison skeletons and return to your large rock.

Settling down you decide now would be a good time to try sharpening one of those bones. You look around and find a flat but rough rock, that should do the trick. You set the bone on the ground, wiggling it slightly to get it stable, and dip the rock into the water. People sharpen things with a wetstone right?

You bring the dampened rock to the bone, and start making even swipes up and down it, feeling the rough surface catch on it as you press down slightly. Seems like this will do the trick.

---

Some time later you've got yourself a sharpened bone. You'd switched out the rough rock for a smoother one after grinding the bone into the rough shape you were aiming for and now the bone tapers to a flat, fine point. You'd also used a stone to lightly chip at the sides of it, forming a nice serrated edge. It should be pretty good at cutting through hides and flesh, though the tip is likely too thin to pierce things without breaking. Better work on making a spear of sorts.

---

You admire your handiwork, a bison thigh bone ground down into a spike. It's not very long, alas, owing to the nature of bison legs being comparitively stumpy but it is thick, hard wearing and sharp.

Stashing it back in your bag, you consider your next move. It's pretty dark by now and you're feeling drowsy.

You're almost done for the day. Just a couple more things before you turn in for the night.

The first is to pray to our patron god. You cross back over to the shrine, smile playing across your lips as you admire your handiwork again. Even if the Bone God isn't captivated by it you are. You crouch, one leg kneeling and bow your head in respect. You're not really sure where the words come from but they seem natural as you venerate:

"God of Bones, save me!
Save me from my great arch-enemy,
my weak and faltering self.
Save me from all greed of flesh,
of skin, and of muscle.
Save me from betraying You, Dear Lord,

"Per ossa beati simus."

You lightly rise, dipping your head once more in a nod before turning back to your rock.

There's... one more thing you want to take care of. It's been a few days a whirling excitement and some of it has yet to leave you, instead collecting in your groin. It doesn't help that you've been praying to bone gods and handling them all day and basically what it all boils down to is you need to fap.

You look around you in due to that slightest chance someone has miraculously appeared and see no one. You eye the bison warily, it'd feel kinda weird to be watched by them... but conclude that you just don't care enough.

You sit atop the large rock, trousers around your ankles, underwear tugged down and cup balls, playing with them momentarily. Oh boy, here we go...
Your finger play over your shaft briefly before you grow too impatient, gripping it tightly and bobbing you hand up and down. Your thumb and forefinger massage the head as you go, technique honed from a year of self-discovery. You normally like to fantasize during this but it's been a wild few days and your mind is empty and content as you rub yourself, rising in a crescendo before you release yourself, a short spray sullying the dirt. You gentle massage it in the wake before tucking it away and pulling up your trousers.

Per ossa beati simus indeed.

Settling down beside the rock again (on the opposite side from your fun) you close your eyes and drift off...

The man calls out for you to ready and there's the crack of the pistol, you spring fowards with the barest delay, pelting down the straight, you note the boy on your right start sprinting, starting to pull away from you but you fly into top gear and leave them in the dust. Yes, today you'll be the one receiving praise rather than Lisa and whatever test she had aced this time. You hit the bend and lean in, everything but the track a blur as you shoot round, you turn your heasd back to check on the competition but see only dark skies, roiling with activity, your breath catches but you avoid stumbling, looking forward once more to see the speedometer reading 80mph, breath slightly fogging the visor. You wake with a start, the ground rumbling, as you turn to find the bison making a hasty exodus. You jump to your feet in preparation to run, grabbing your pack and looking around to the direction they're running from.

You're presented with the sight of a large man pinning a struggling bison to the floor, a flash of his fist and its head caves in, he then effortlessly pushes his hand into the beast's side, tearing out a hunk of flesh and chomping down on it. No wonder the bison are fleeing. As you study the man you notice an unnatural lopsidedness to his appearance and that he's dressed only in tattered shorts, bare foot no less. This is a person who is both highly dangerous and unlikely to lead you back to civilisation, judging by his attire.

You grab the horn of the beast you're charging alongside and kick off, pulling yourself abreast its back.

Riding a stampeding bison. Check.

>(Cont.)
>>
>>36463744

You twist your head to see the man slowly gaining on the rear of the herd, long legs making up for his slower gait. He reaches the back and bats a bison out of the way with one hand.

Oh hell no.

You turn forwards and carefully rise to your feet, racking your brains for a better idea than what you have in mind. Your pleas fall on silent brain-ears and so without further ado you leap to the next bison, landing on all fours to steady yourself before clambering over to the next. And the next.

Like this your hop and crawl your way up the herd, taking a break in the middle to survey your pursuer. It seems he's run out of stamina too and you think you've finally lost that unnatural man, at the very least he's no longer in sight. Welp, time to see where the bisons end up you think, settling down and riding on.

---

It's midday, give or take, and the bison have finally calmed and stopped at a watering hole. You carefully slide down and slink off, though not before giving your steed a friendly pat on the neck. A drink suits you just fine too.

You finish gulping it down and cross to one side, clear of bison, and kneel to praise the Bone God for your survival. You're not sure if the Bone God had anything to do with, his domain doesn't really seem the type to worry a great deal about surviving atfer all, but you don't think it's the sort of thing worth risking. Especially now you've come to realise those bison skeletons had appeared since you'd got to the stream.

"Per ossa beati simus." you finish, rising and contemplating your next action.

You stare, curiously unthinking, the sky fading to a light grey and the the cloud bones start to expand... then suddenly they're swooping down at you and you try to yell out and dodge but your body doesn't respond, and then the bone creature fills your vision, eyes unable to blink and it reaches you now. You look down a rushing vortex of swirling greys and sharp geometric oscillations of white that revolve, heady wind pressing down on you forcing you flat on the ground, and then the vortex opens and you see a stable image before you, grainy and grey, rushing towards you, wind howling in your ears. With a start you find you can move your body once more and bring an arm up you shield your face from the expanse that is flying towards you, but the wind whips around and it you suddenly spin out of control, realising with a start that you're actually falling down and then you crash into the ground.

You pick yourself up and look around, a vast expanse of dry grey sand, the air temperate and still. You note the occasional bone jutting from the floor and barren horizons. You stumble at the sheer enormity and sand courses between your toes, looking down your find yourself entirely naked, devoid of possessions.

You place the obvious connotations with the Bone God and wonder why this happened. Is he upset with you? Or is this some sort of divine meeting?

You take a moment to praise the Bone God and then set off in an arbitary direction. Everywhere looks the same and besides, you've been summoned to this place. You will find what you are meant to when you are meant to.

You stride forward in this colourless world, sand shifting lightly beneath your feet, speeding into a jog, and then a run. The air moves past you thickly but the temperature doesn't change, nor do you feel warm from your exertion. Time to push this. You break out into a sprint, eyes fixed on the horizon.

---

Whilst sprinting you came across a dead tree and slowed to examine it. It thrusts its way from the sand, clawing to the heavens but failing to survive, devoid of leaves or colour. You reach out to touch it but it crumble away to nothing, sending cracks throughout the rest of the structure which disintegrates into a shower of sand, all trace of it ever having existed vanishing. Probably a metaphor for something you think.

Depressingly relevant tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqH8H1YwVhA

Your first thought is that someone must have very carefully crafted it out of sand, lord knows if they've been in limbo here for long it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination that they'd find every more improbable ways to occupy themselves.

But what if this place were all in your mind? You've not yet discounted the notion that you might be in some curious part of your mind, influenced there by the Bone God but not actually occupying a different time and space. If that were the case then there wouldn't be any precursors to you here would there? Or maybe there would...

Nevertheless you decide to delve deeper into a more profound interpretation. You consider how nature is fragile, weak... You remember the pronghorn you killed. In time it shall be nothing more than bones, then as the wind weathers those it will be ground down to dust, and scattered by the winds... Perhaps this tree signifies that all things wither and die, no matter how much they might struggle to avoid that fate. In the face of such a destiny it would be better to embrace our own demise and let our certainty in the inevitable empower our actions in the time we do have, striving to make the most of our time...

You close your eyes briefly, holding the image of the tree in your mind.

All the same, it is good to remember those that shape the experience that is our life.

You've been sprinting for a while now. You're not quite sure how long in this timeless place, the light never wavering in intensity, but you do know that you've counted out the seconds of a minute, the minutes of an hour, the hours numbering...

What did they number again? Damn, you've lost track with that idle thought. It was a lot, you're pretty sure, and it is a testament to food and drink seeminly being optional in this place.

Well, may as well start counting again. Nothing better to do whilst you sprint onwards.

Something shimmers in the distance and you decide to head over, idly contemplating what you might find.

---

A whirling sinkhole of sand, it just keeps pouring down and down, you shuffle over as close as you dare to the edge and gaze in, seeing only the hole thinning exponentially yet never meeting the other side, a point of the purest black. Above you yet more sand tumbles down from the sky, spiralling in a great bulb, whipping around and settling on the edges of the sinkhole.

What a curious structure. Is this another design to convey meaning, impart understanding..?

You immediate reaction is to crane your gaze skywards, trying to make out where the sand is coming from, but it's untraceable, descending from so high that it narrows to a point in your perspective.

The break in your sprint and reminded you of many things, such as the fact that other movement exists. It's been so long since you last fapped... You gaze down and toy idly with yourself but you're emotionally flat, unable to bring it to attention. Man this place is dull.

Still, this vortex of sand is at least novel and you muse on it. What mystical insight can you glean from the symbology before you?

It occurs to you that time is irreversible, that like the falling sands we are bound to continue ever onwards until we fade from view. You look down into the hole, the destination for each and every grain of sand. All things are destined for oblivion, and despite that, even as everything is sucked into nothingness more keeps appearing.

Where does the sand come from? There seems to be no way to know. Origin and destination are complete mysteries, they could even be one and the same.

Peering down you realise you know how you could check in this instance anyway. Perhaps this is actually the exit from this place as well? Or maybe it's just the end of you?

Steeling yourself you take deliberate strides to the edge and step down into the whirlpool, feet sinking in the sand as it carries you down toward that abyssal epicentre. You hold your breath, just in case, and take the plunge.

>(Cont.)
>>
>>36464955

You are in empty blackness, sand tumbling around you. You realise you are experiencing the infinite, forever in all directions, and it lasts an eternity before you see grey below you, rising to meet you and the time elapsed of your experience of the infinite folds up, again and again, suddenly you realise it was barely a second that you spent there and now you're falling down, spiralling with the sand down towards the vortex.

You writhe and fling yourself, escaping its grasp, grateful that you were born with the capacity to move. Imagine being one of the grains of sand, bound to experience infinity forever.

So... all things come to an end but are reborn? And we are bound by time, yet your own intervention with this indicates that ones fate is controlled by themselves... Must be something like that.

Without a secondary glance you run onwards.

---

It's funny, really. If anyone had ever asked you how you'd react to being left in a desert devoid of colour and sensation with nothing to do but wander you'd quite emphatically have insisted that you'd turn insane within a week. Especially if they told you that you also wouldn't need or be able to sleep there.

And yet, here you are, sprinting on, never tiring, long past the ability to stumble, the motions so engrained into your being by this point that it feels unnatural to slow. You've had time to think about a lot of things whilst you ran and your mind had turned to the last dream you'd had so long ago. It had finished with you on Dad's motorbike, turning to see the skies flooded with hideous beasts bearing down on you all and then something had happened and you'd tumbled from it to the left and in the moment that you were falling were shocked to find Lisa's sidecar missing.

>(Cont.)
>>
>>36464970

When you'd first woken after you'd either forgotten or supressed this realisation, still believing them to be together in the distance somewhere. But you've had a lot of time to wonder and you remember that lurch and surge in speed. You were unwilling to plot the logical course but you've had so long that your subconscious has involuntarily done it for you.

You now believe that Dad cut Lisa loose, probably in order to pick up speed whilst he tried to outrun the pursuit.

You're not sure what you feel about this. Was this a justifiable action in the face of him doing it not to save just himself, but you as well? Lose one to save the rest? You're not sure you can ever truly weigh those scales.

But then you fell too. At a time whilst the monsters were thronging around the bike. An obvious time for someone fleeing to ditch the last baggage, but also a time when the other plausible reason was that one of the monsters knocked you off.

You'll just have to confront him one day. You hope Lisa is alright, but she's always been one for survival tips, always clamouring about adeventure...

You've arrived at a solitary Garden of Bones. Great white structures protruding from the sand, piercing the heavens around you. They'd been small things at first, little more than ribs poking through, a baby's first tooth. But you'd continued in, seeking the taller bones, knowing that at the middle you will find the greatest bone of all.

How many years has it been, you wonder, that you have travelled for this very moment.

It is a foolish question. Time holds no meaning in this place.

You round the corner of the latest bone, comporable to one of those cooling towers in diameter. The sand below your feet runs out leaving only smooth ivory tiles below. It feels... cold, yes, your feet feel cold. It has been so long since you felt cold. You pace inwards and reach the epicentre of this world, coming to a standstill.

A screech echoes out, reverberating between the great bone structures and the skeleton of what seems to be a vulture descends, landing before you with a clacking sound.

<YOU HAVE FOUND ME.>

"Yes."

<AND YOU UNDERSTAND.>

"Yes."

<YOU ACCEPT LIFE FOR WHAT IT BRINGS. YOU ACCEPT DEATH FOR WHAT IT TAKES. THE BONES EMBRACE YOU.>

The eye sockets of the skull before you flicker and you are reminded of the infinite you fell through. The air begins to whip around you, sand rising from the corners of this space, spinning towards you. The sand settles on your skin and you feel it take hold, more building up across you, the outline of bones forming in the construct. The air clears as the sand all meets you and the wind dies down. You examine yourself to find your nakedness entombed within a suit armour made from bones.

<GO NOW. INTO THE WORLD.>

"Per ossa beati simus."

The Bone God takes skeletal wing, a final screech as it tears upwards through the air. The sight before you fades to black.

>(Cont.)
>>
>>36465207

You open your eyes. Colour strikes you. The air breezes across you. You feel the rush of blood through your veins.

You rise to find you're amongst the herd of bison that you left this world from so long ago.

"Per ossa beati simus." you intone, hand outstretched. Bone flows across it, forming a gauntlet. You examine it, then with a wave it dissipates again.

Your stomach rumbles.

Hunger... that is a sensation you've missed.

What do?

Well the powers that Jonny now channels are naturally the powers of a God, and quite a major one at that. However he needs time and experience to actually utilise them effectively.

The bone armour is symbiotic and thus changes form as Jonny moves, rather than possessing simple joints. In turn this means that it acts as an exoskeleton and can bolster strength.

However Jonny himself strength-wise isn't particularly above average. I mean, it's somewhat so since he ripped the pronghorns heart out, snapping major arteries and the like.

But it's mainly just his capacity to run that's freakishly high. His stamina is pretty decent too. The same could be said for Lisa to be honest, it's her agility that's wildly above average and she's otherwise relatively normal.

So... Jonny's strength... We can probably push a bison over, and drag it, but not lift it. That should give you some idea?
>>
>>36465467
Will us feeding off so much meat and doing all this strength related stuff make us - huge -?
>>
>>36465467

>>36465485

Not massively huge, probably. I'm planning to stop QMing soon, so who knows where the next one takes it?

Though I'd quite like to return to Yumi. This was meant to just be an interlude...

By the way, do you guys want to skin the bison? I mean, the intended use for that was to bind your tools...
>>
>>36465521
I got you covered.
>>36465536
Not really necessary now that we can form bone weapons from our armor.
>>
>>36465216

You turn to your pack and fish out the bone tools you had crafted. They seem so... small. You flick your hand and bone seeps between your fingers, forming a spear in your grasp, the head razor sharp. You pace over to a bison that wanders singly on the edge of the herd and fling the spear at it, peircing its side. It tries to fun but trips on the shaft and tumbles.

You're next to it and bring a dagger down into it's throat, stilling the beast. Working swiftly you slice off strips and chew them down, relishing in the tang of the blood, the texture of the meat. You strip most of the rest of the carcass, leaving the meat draped across a flat rock for the sun to cure.

You gather your old bone tools and set them into the earth, sticking upright beside the bison's corpse. You crouch and touch the shrine, calling out with your mind and the remaining tissue flays away into nothing, leaving only the skeleton behind. You carefully arrange the bones around the shrine.

Night is falling now and you look forward to sleeping again. You've been awake for so very long.

But there's one thing that needs to be taken care of first. The sweet, sweet release of masturbation after going without for an eternity...

Quick glance, no one around, and to be honest it probably wouldn't stop you even if there was.

You strip fully for this. It's a momentous occasion afterall. You lie down on the earth, revelling in the hard sensation pressing against your back, a glorious change from soft sand. Not that you spent much time lying around in the Bone God's realm.

You reach down and take firm grasp of your dick, already erect from anticipation, standing tall and firm in the cool evening breeze. The head is slick with precum. You begin slowly at first but after so long it's still too much and you build to breaking point, splashing yourself with your affections.

But you're still rigid as a pole and resume, speeding up to a greater height now that you can sustain it. You ride the wave for a while before impatience takes you and your pump your hand, legs tense, back arching as you shoot your load.

You chest heaves as you regain your breath, dick still in hand as it softens.

You get shakily back to your feet and cross to the watering hole, a quick dip to clean you off.

Too drained to redress yourself you simply manifest your bone armour.

"Per ossa beati simus." you smile, hands behind your head as sleep takes you.

>>
>>36465928
Hasid is long gone. Wonder what he'd think of the quest at this point.
Alright, we're going to a more "traditional" Kabbalah style of quest.

You are Yumi Kolenko. Was is Kuroneko? Umezawa? Whatever.
You're currently flying at about 40 mph above the Mexican midlands, in your sights the forces of Mad-Eye Juarez. Hundreds of demonic soldiers, brutal elite mutants, and towering Primes stand between you and him. Your katana shimmers, an electric current running through the brilliant Nippon steel.
Juarez brought a legion. He should have brought an army.

The vanguard of elites howls in belligerent glory, tearing through the countryside with aberrant physiology and unnatural weapons. They ought to be a good warm up.

This means you fell from the motorbike to it's left and it stands to reason that the ditch you thus wake up in will be to the left as well from the motorbikes POV.

Thus when you stand in the ditch and face the road, the direction you came from was the right and the direction that Dad went was the left.

In any case, any thoughts of finding Dad are behind our new devotion to the Bone God. Bone God wouldn't abandon us like Daddy did...

>8/11
You descend towards the rampaging horde, but instead of slowing down you spread your gilded wings and speed up. The first line of Elites scatter at your approach, but the unlucky who can't evade in time are diced by the blades of your wings.
Your engine whirrs to a halt, and you pick yourself up from the impact of dirt and flesh. The elites who once fled now surround you, a little less intimidated now that you aren't soaring towards them at breakneck speeds. Some brandish clawlike hands, others bifurcated, whiplike tails, and gnashing serrated teeth. They circle ominously, and one rushes at you.

>8/21
Its razor-sharp claws bear down on your side, and you try to evade. The beast was too fast, however, and it slashes into your armored shoulder with inhuman force. You reel back, brandishing your sword. More elites swarm you, barely leaving you time to dodge their attacks. If you don't think of something, you're boned!

>69/100

Boned, of course! You think back to New Heaven, how Kraghammer purified you. It's a stray chance, but you have to try!
"ANGEL MAGICAL POWER BEAM GO!! PHALLUSO TOWER OF ULTIMATE HAPPINESS!"

Your armor parts around the groin, and from your loins, a girthsome penis sprouts, glowing slightly with the aura of Baby Jesus' blessing.
The elites recoil at such a virile display, and before they can retaliate you set to work. Pumping the shaft with holy vigor, you feel the advent approaching.

She's normal at pretty much everything except Ninjaing and Brains. And normal for her is little girl normal, so not peak human.

Hey, it's not like the 22nd has claimed dibs on anything.
>>
"Archon Corporation..." you muttered.
Seemed shady as all hell, nothing in the website said anything about what they actually worked with.

There was no contact info, no pictures of facilities, it didn't even spam thousands of porn pop ups.

All there was to this white and blue website was a small application form and a message inviting those interested to try for a job.

Fuck this, you really need a job or you're losing the house, the car and everything else.
Plus it was your buddy Thomas who recommended the site, might as well sign up and see what's up.
